I typically prefer to leave positive reviews and support businesses when I can. In fact, we have purchased furniture from Ashley several times in the past. However, after this experience, I feel it would be a disservice not to share what we encountered so others can make an informed decision before purchasing. My husband and I recently redecorated our den, including new paint, chair rail, side tables, lamps, an area rug, and a recliner. We were looking for a couch of a specific size and visited several stores before finding what we thought was the perfect fit at Ashley Furniture on Highway 280. The couch was comfortable, worked beautifully with our new space, and we were excited about the purchase. During the sale, the salesman strongly encouraged us to purchase the warranty, describing it as a “platinum” level of coverage and assuring us that no matter what happened, we could call and it would be taken care of. We normally do not purchase warranties, but based on how it was presented, we decided to do so. We purchased the couch in September 2025, and it was delivered in October 2025. By January 13, 2026 — just a few months after delivery — the couch began showing visible pilling and wear, including holes in the fabric on the seat cushion and both back cushions. On January 20, my husband filed a warranty claim with detailed photos and a full description of the damage. The claim was denied on January 26, with the explanation that the damage was considered “normal wear and tear.” We submitted a second claim on February 2 with additional, more detailed photos. On February 9, the claim was denied again. This time, we were told the issue was a manufacturer defect and therefore not covered by the warranty, and that it should fall under the store’s manufacturer warranty. When my husband contacted the store manager, he was told the couch had been purchased off the floor and was considered “as is,” meaning it was not covered under the store’s warranty. We were then directed back to the warranty department, despite already being denied twice. At this point, we felt caught between departments, with neither the store nor the warranty provider willing to take responsibility. The assurances given during the sale did not align with the actual coverage provided, and we were left with a couch showing significant wear after only a few months of normal use. Unfortunately, this experience has led us to reconsider future purchases and look elsewhere for furniture.

If we can give minus stars we like to give -100 , we visited Ashley highway 280 , Birmingham alabama store, we spent one hour ,we finalize sectional sofa, repeatedly we told representative Mr.Been make sure our final price should be inclusive of tax, protection plan, delivery charges and if any hidden charges, everything . He gave us final amount $6000/- we gave all information, he entered everything in his computer, he got my details and we decided 0% 24 months , we told him ok now we are paying down payment fir 24 months plan, he says OK and he went to manager and came back with one new price he says I am sorry protection plan is separate, we already spent 1 hour to finalize everything inclusive he and his manager gave us final amount $6000/-and the time of payment he says with protection plan is separate. They try to cheat us, they thought now they are ready to buy , so we can add additional charges. We were so shocked....We will never go again in any Ashley store. Higher authorities of company should look in to stop this type of fraud with customers and save company's reputation.

The manager, Chris was beyond rude and condescending thru the whole process! Tried to place blame on us! And said that it was just broken-in in the showroom! We will have to take time off work, drive BACK TO BESSEMER to deal with the warehouse! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Just purchased 2 recliners and Chris made the process a breeze!
