Wow, I wish I could collect the interest on the generous loan that I issued to Ashley Furniture Home Store-Hoover in September. My pregnant wife and I ordered and paid for a bed 8 months ago. We were warned about a potential delay related to COVID logistic snarls (5 months), which is understandable, but at 3 months beyond the estimated delivery (and with no discernible end in sight)it would seem they have forgotten us. They are virtually unreachable on the phone during normal business hours and do not provide any regular updates on its progress. They were happy to immediately cash my check however. The few times I’ve been able to reach them , No one seems to have any idea when it will arrive and little motivation to find out (“why bother?” they have my money and will charge penalties for canceling the order). I have not made many large furniture purchases in my life so ultimately I feel swindled and foolish for trusting this company. I would not recommend dealing with them as you could more reliably acquire the materials and skills to build your own furniture in the lengthy time it takes for them to deliver to you.

Very disappointed in my delivery. I ordered a couch, loveseat and king bedroom suit, mattress and bed frame support. First delivery couch and bedroom suit. No loveseat, mattress or bed frame support. Second delivery one week later brought loveseat, mattress and wrong bed frame support. Talk the store manager twice who stated they would get it to me and straighten everything out. Still no bed frame support and no one has reached back out to me or returned my phone calls. This is at the Hoover location. Very disappointed !

Just shop online. It’s cheaper and in store is not worth the hassle. The woman who helped us was nice but I hope she gets another job soon with more professional colleagues for her own sake.

If I could give them zero stars I would. We ordered furniture back in May we knew it would delayed and didn't mind waiting. We received the dining room set and coffee table in November but they were both damaged. Now I can't get them to come pick up the very damaged furniture. I have called the wharehouse at least 15 times. The did send replacement parts twice but they were the wrong parts both times. Very disappointed in this company. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

This has to be the first one star review I have written, but it’s completely warranted. My husband and I bought a couch and dining set from here in July. We used their finance option. We were told while shopping that orders are taking 12 weeks to come in. Then while signing the papers, it said the shipping time would be 16-20 weeks. 26 weeks later our couch finally comes in, but the only way we even know this is because we had to call each month checking the status. It’s now 35 weeks and we still have not heard anything about the kitchen table. We were told that payments start once we receive all items. Well we now found out that we have had two payment owed, but get this… they don’t send you a bill or tell you that you owe. You have to go online and check it there. Which is fine, if someone would have informed us of this at any point in the past 7 month. But of course like everything else with this company that we have experienced, radio silence. The only way we found this out is because we are buying a house and it came up in the process. So beware buying from here, especially don’t finance anything through them. Horrible in all forms of communication.

I just experienced the worst customer service you could probably receive at a retail store. The sales lady that met me at the front door was belittling, uninterested into what I was looking for, and was pushing her agenda of “free financing.” She immediately told me (before even asking what I was shopping for) that everything was 4-6 months out. It seemed to me she was uninterested in a sale from me. I am so upset at this experience because the timeline didn’t even matter. She was rude, and I would not recommend shopping at this location.

Customer Service is a NIGHTMARE! I understand and expected delays because of COVID, what I was not expecting was the multiple deliveries because of my stuff being in the warehouse but they couldn’t locate, something was damaged, someone called in sick, etc. I understand these things happen but each time we were not notified until we’ll into our delivery window. Many days wasted sitting around for deliveries that never happened! Also, so many calls made to the store and promised calls back that we also never received! As we speak, my husband is on the phone trying to make arrangements to go pick up our furniture ourselves and that’s not even a possibility! Apparently the truck is MIA! Either we have the worse luck or there are a lot of people with little integrity working there! Now we have to sit and wait ANOTHER DAY! Do not buy here!!!
