Was told yes, then after delivery was told it was customer assembly required. (Yes I did sign after seeing this on the paper, but this was after I already asked about being able to pay for delivery and installation.) Paid 150$ for them to drop off only. When I could have ordered online for free shipping. You live and you learn.

Placed the original order on September 11th with an eta of 3-5 weeks. 3 weeks hit and there is a 2 week delay. Called after the new delivery date to the warehouse and order was pushed back even further. Had to call the store for the store manager to “pull strings” and have furniture delivered to me today. What was delivered was broken. So upset in this whole process. Save your money and go somewhere else to buy furniture. If I had known this was how my experience was going to be I never would have purchased anything from this store

Dylan was a huge help. We were in & out with a mattress in no time!

Lydia was friendly and answered all my questions while I was in the store making the purchase, however once the furniture was delivered, which took longer than promised by Lydia, and I had problems with a broken table, that is where friendly and helpful stopped. My coffee table, that worked fine in the store raising and lowering, had missing screws and did not work when delivered. Mason, who delivered it told dispatch, who ordered new screws to be sent to my house and was told someone would be out to fix. What was sent was not screws, but hinges (not what I needed) I texted Mason pics of what was sent, he "escalated" to his superior, who was to call me. I waited a few days, no word. So I called Lydia, filled her in. She answered her phone to tell me it was her day off, but I can call the store, but there is nothing she can do. I called the Manager, Kenny Cooper, who told me he would escalate it to LuLu and I should hear back from her to resolve. He said once purchased, it is out of his hands. A few days have passed and no word from Lulu. I am disgusted that nobody takes accountability and this furniture is so poorly constructed. If I could give them a negative 10 rating I would, 1 star is too good for them.

Dylan was great! He got us an amazing deal on a couch and loveseat :) Edit: while we were originally shopping, Dylan told us it would be about an 8 week wait to get our furniture. When we balked and told him that wouldn't work, he talked with the sales manager and assured us he could get it to us in 3 weeks (6/6). The paperwork stated 3-5 weeks but Dylan was positive that it was "definitely going to be closer to 3 weeks". We called at the 3 week mark and were told that it was now projected to be around 7/7 and that the paperwork said 3-5 weeks so we should wait until that time frame was up. Called again on 6/20, the 5 week mark, and we were told again that it was projected to be in the warehouse around 7/7. When we asked what happened to the 3-5 week time frame, we were told that it was just an estimate and not a firm date. My problem is that I was manipulated into believing they could fulfill the 3-5 week time frame when in reality, they simply told me the shortened time frame because I had originally told them that 8 weeks was too long and was going to walk. They lied about being able to get the furniture in an acceptable time frame to get the sale. I don't normally post reviews but they pushed pretty hard to get me to leave one, so I'm leaving one.

Todd was really helpful when we went into the Cullman store looking for a kitchen table. He showed us several and gave all the information on them all. He was great with our 2 kiddos too! We ended up buying one!

Great service and awesome people!! EDIT: Originally I gave a rating of five stars. That is no longer accurate. We bought a mattress and adjustable base and paid for the platinum protection warranty on both. Less than one month after delivery, the base stopped working. My husband has reached out to them repeatedly. The local store said they could not do anything about the problem and gave us a customer service number in Birmingham. We have called them repeatedly for over three weeks now. They will not send out a technician, and told us to call the manufacturer. We called the manufacturer who said we needed new motors for the base which were on backorder for months, so Ashley needed to send a whole new base. Ashley refused to do so. This morning my husband called the same customer service number and they suddenly had NO RECORD of the many extensive phone calls he has had with them. According to Ashley Furniture Customer Service there is a 24 hour return window regardless of any warranty purchased. Ashley Furniture is not responsible for standing behind their products. LESSON LEARNED: Big name mattress prices are the same regardless of where you purchase. We would have been better off to purchase a mattress somewhere that could deliver in less than the two weeks it took Ashley to deliver. Then buy your adjustable base on Amazon where returns are easy and you don't have to fight for it!!!

James and crew in-store were great …. Delivery is set up. ***Update: Furniture was delivered yesterday 5/22/2025. My initial 5-star review above was on initial purchase day with JAMES at the Ashley store, Cullman Alabama on 5/12/2025. ** Sadly for Ashley I’m now specifically giving JAMES a 1-star. That’s a ONE-star because he lied to me. And on behalf of Ashley in Cullman, he knowingly lied. He didn’t misspeak …he wasn’t confused…he lied. I specifically ASKED 3 times if Ashley would wrap the Stupendous Oversized Chaise for delivery. Mind you their delivery fee is their standard $180. I even said “If it’s not your policy to wrap it I’ll gladly come back and plastic-wrap it myself.” He said ‘sure we’ll wrap it for you.’ I asked AGAIN (because of the light color and it’ll be sitting until delivery truck pickup day) “are you sure it’s going to be wrapped?” …. James said ‘YES WE’LL WRAP IT FOR YOU.’ Now, I know Salespeople LIE all the time …so don’t let JAMES’ red hair, fake smile and cheesy handshake followed by an unnecessary LIE persuade you into purchasing anything. The very heavy Oversized Chaise came out of the back of a big truck, with the 4 cushions loosely strewn, lifted with dirty gloves and sweaty arms, and needed to be placed on grass before entering home. *This is NOT the fault of the 3 delivery gentlemen, as that’s how they picked it up from Ashley Cullman. I asked them if it was wrapped when they picked it up from the Cullman Ashley store …they said it was not. Needless to say we washed all the cushion covers …. and even if the piece was delivered in acceptable condition …. THE POINT IS THIS: I ASKED AND REQUESTED ONE THING FROM JAMES….and he LIED just to get the sale. He could have just said ‘no we don’t wrap furniture for delivery.’ To lie is common will salespeople…but I will not step foot in Ashley Cullman again because of that one ridiculous lie by red-headed James. Maybe this is how Ashley treats people who purchase an item that was on ‘clearance’ ~ saved a few hundred bucks but the bill still came to over $1000…. I don’t know but it left a very bad taste because of James. So to the store owner: I hope you care about this.

I have always bought our furniture at other company's. But we walked into Ashley and came out with a bedroom suite and couch and love seat. We love the pieces we picked out and they were real leather. We've had them for several years now. We brought our son in today and he bought a sectional, end tables, coffee table, kitchen table bench/4chairs, night stand and chest. The salesman Jame was awesome. A wonderful smile, cheerful attitude and very helpful. They worked great with us to help Cody get the best deals he could and good quality furniture. Love our experience ❤️

Update: responding to Ashley’s reply. I have emailed Lmarks previously, more than once, and she has not responded. When I try to reach her by phone I’m told she doesn’t have a line to speak with me. Their only option for me is to have them pick up my sofa and take it to their shop to repair and leave me with nothing during that time. I was also told this is what Ms Marks directed and the only thing she will do. If I don’t accept this nothing else will be done. So, changing my one star review will not happen. At least, for now. Bishop is amazing but that is as far as it goes. I purchased a power reclining sofa in November and it was delivered in December. I paid for delivery and the extra warranty. First, the delivery guys left it on my driveway and I never saw them. Once unwrapped it was visually damaged. I called the store and was told I had to go through customer service. Since it was on a Saturday customer service was closed. Called on Monday, closed. Called later and they sent a tech out three weeks later. Wasn’t fixed and they sent another tech out two weeks later. He took pics and sent to customer care showing the frame was broken. I still have a broken sofa because they said I didn’t reject it when delivered. Months out I’m still arguing. Now the only option they say I have is for them to pick it up and leave me without a sofa for 7 to 10’ days with no replacement. I explained I live in a small home and that will leave me with no seating except dining chairs. They said that’s the only option. After two techs and now starting my 5th month with a broken “new” sofa, I will have to settle for a refurbished sofa at a new price. I am now being told it’s because of the lengthly time it has been in my home. Mind you I have been sending pics and letting them know since delivery. I knew poor customer service existed but I never in my wildest imagination thought it was this bad. Find another place to purchase your furniture. You will be glad you did. Even with the local store being nice they can’t do a thing to help when it comes to needing furniture replaced or refunds.

I can honestly say if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't. Meaning, I would shop elsewhere. We just spent nearly six hundred dollars for two ordinary barstools that had to be assembled. I thought the purpose of purchasing things from the store and paying an upcharge was so that you could get things at a convenience. Next time, I'll save my money and purchase it directly on line as we have successfully done twice before. If I'm going to have to assemble my own furniture I might as well skip the upcharge and get it for fifty percent less directly from some manufacturer. You can only imagine our faces when they showed up in boxes. What ever happened to customer service?

Horrible customer service!!! Ordered a bedroom suit 11/29/2024, was promised to receive it in 8-12 weeks….. finally received part of it on 3/1/2025. I still have not received my headboard or my footboard. Also, I ordered an end table and paid with my debit card. I decided I no longer wanted it and I have been given the run around about getting my money refunded. The worst customer service I have ever received! I will not be a customer of Ashley any longer!

My husband and I went in the Cullman, Alabama store just to “look” at dinettes. We had no intention of buying. However, they had the perfect table and chairs for our newly purchased home. James was very attentive and promptly gave me an out-the-door price which was somewhat above our budget. James asked what we had budgeted and was able to meet our budgeted amount to our satisfaction. We bought the dinette and I cannot wait to see if in our new home.
