I hate this but i have to change my review from 5 down to 1, which I never do. The process by Ashley has been terrible. Delivered and put together with broken pieces and one entire section of the couch was the wrong color. Said they were ordering the parts and would come back to deliver and assemble again. The couch came, the drivers were unprepared for the assembly so i provided the tools needed, the couch doesn’t fit together properly, and they left the couch a whole mess (didn’t put pillows and cushions back on, etc). The driver even said the couch wasn’t going together right, but he wasn’t going to drive it all the way back to Birmingham so he was going to “make it work”. Took apart the connections and put it back together and it still wasn’t fully correct. When i asked about the part for the bed, he said he didn’t know anything about that. Well, 2+ months after my initial purchase, zero communication except when I’ve called to follow up, and the replacement rail just showed up via standard delivery. Customer service isn’t open Mondays (crazy since it’s a standard work day) so i can’t even get ahold of somebody to find out what I’m supposed to do with this giant box. I also kept asking the last person i spoke with if this was going to be a claim on my purchased extended warranty, since it was delivered broken and not our fault, and she couldn’t answer me. For how much I’ve spent, it should be easier to get the details. They seem very unorganized and use subcontractors so have very little management over the service after purchase. I also specifically asked the sales person, who seemed great and earned that initial 5-star review, if the couch cushions were machine washable and if it would stand up well with multiple children. Well, it’s not. The cushions are filled with loose filling, they end up very misshapen and have to constantly be re-fluffed and fixed almost daily. I wish there was a guarantee of purchase window because I’d honestly return it for something more suited for my lifestyle, which is very disappointing since i was very detailed on what i was looking for at the time.

My husband and I purchased the Sterns and Foster Lux Hybrid mattress with the adjustable base. We went to the store multiple times and finally decided on this one! We love the comfort and overall feel of the mattress and the adjustable base is going to be a game changer. It took us awhile to decide on making such a large purchase but our salespeople were fantastic! We closed out our purchase with Mr. Frank Swopes and he was great! Last minute furniture shopping so finding something was stressfull. We were able to find one that we love and Frank Swoope was patient with us and truly knows customer service . When my husband and I went in to purchase, the customer service was great! We bought an adjustable base, mattress and couch. The person helping us, I think his name was John, told us that we would get our items in 2-3 weeks instead of the normal quotes 5-7 weeks because he showed us where more was coming into stock on 10.14. 10.14 rolls around and passes my husband calls Ashley and they tell him that the base has come in. okay, all good. a couple days later the mattress is in. great. no one called either of us to tell us our over 2k bed is in and that we can schedule delivery, even though we were told we would get a call. We had to call them several times. whatever, so I personally call one day and schedule a partial delivery for said bed and I inquire about my couch. I get promised that it's set to be delivered that week. (week of 10.21) and to call back a few days later on Friday to check again. so I call back Friday, 10.25 and got told oh it's still not in but it shows it will ship today, and the person on the phone claims she will give me a call the next day Saturday confirming if it actually shipped or not. surprise! no call. so I go physically into the store Saturday and ask, they tell me again it's supposed to ship Saturday from Mississippi, and that she promises me someone will call me Sunday for an update. again surprise no call. So Tuesday 10.29 I call AGAIN and again no couch, hasn't even been shipped. I don't mind waiting but my problem is being promised all these things by the employees and no one is following through at all. it's very unprofessional and makes me regret purchasing from this store. I really wish there was an option to get refunded. I am very disappointed.

Customer service is great when you purchase, but no one calls when they get your furniture in from warehouse. They also will promise to call you with updates on your delivery after giving you exact shipping/receiving dates but guess what? No calls! Shocker. Do yourself a favor and give your money to some place else.

Cres is a very lovely representative. She explained everything very clearly and very very helpful throughout the entire purchase from start to end. Will recommend Cres for anyone stop-by shopping for your next in-house furniture.

If I could leave a 0 star rating I would. Been dealing with a warranty claim for almost a year… very rude to deal with… minus Tiffany! There’s a reason this store has 2 star rating! Had I seen this before purchasing our furniture I would have purchased elsewhere. They’ll say the warranty is a 3rd party and has nothing to do with them… however they sold me the warranty promising that it would cover most everything! That is not the case… Save yourself the headache and stay very far away from Ashley’s of Huntsville

The process of buying the thing was fine and went smoothly of course, they want the money. When it was delivered the people they sent were unable to get it where I wanted because they were too weak and it wound up sitting in my front living room for months during this epic. During their one attempt, they tore up my wall leaving scratches on it. So, they damaged my home. Since I could not get it where I wanted, I decided to return it. Over the next three months, I had to go to Ashley's four times trying to work out with them to get it returned. They would always promise me they would work it out, but they completely ignored me after I left and never followed through. Luckily, I had some competent and strong friends who got the coach up the stairs for me. So, I no longer had to deal with Ashley's. The couch was nice for a time, until only two years when the electrical systems broke on the right side so, now the right foot rest is locked in the upright position and none of the lights work. TLDR: Do not have a problem with Ashley's because their customer service is garbage and will not help you. Also, their products will break easily after a short time into its life.

Do NOT buy anything from Ashley Furniture. They are a rip off. The quality of the furniture is mediocre. Worst than mediocre is their pathetic customer service. I waited almost 4 months for my furniture, was given misinformation about the status, on the day of delivery my NEW furniture had a stain on it that should have never been shipped and delivered in that condition. Now, they are making me pay a restocking fee for their stained and defective furniture. They are also making me pay a cancellation fee for a sofa that is still "on paper" and hasn't even left the building and shipped. Their claims department only works via text and will not contact the customer until you threaten them. Worst company I've ever bought furniture from. Have let my friends and family know and many of my friends have also stated their experience with Ashley was the worst they have ever had. Washing my hands of this low-life furniture store and their pathetic so-called customer service. Already looking for new furniture and told another company today I will not look at any Ashley or Benchcraft (made by Ashley) in their store. They laughed and said "I understand. We get alot of complaints". Most pathetic furniture experience I've ever had. If I could have given less than one star I would have. To the Ashley owner response since it won't let me reply to your post: I've already been arguing with your VP of customer care. I was told I would only pay $358.80 plus 99.99 to return. Your company has now kept about double that in your fees. I'm losing around $1,092. So, if you want to do right by your customers, you should give me a reasonable refund.

In 2018 I purchased a king bed and dining room set. I loved the customer service and attentiveness of Mr. Frank. Today (in 2024), I walked in and was met at the door with Mr. Frank.
