I spent $4,000 on Ashley Furniture just three months ago, and the experience has been a complete disaster. The bed frame collapsed due to bent support beams and broken legs—posing a serious safety hazard. The rails arrived chipped and scuffed, with zero sign of quality inspection. I ordered two USB‑C nightstands, but received one USB‑C and one USB‑A. The USB‑A nightstand came with a broken marble corner, while the USB‑C nightstand had a crushed back panel and chipped legs. One dresser is splitting at the seams, and the other has malfunctioning drawers and a visible paint defect. This isn’t just a few defects—it’s a total breakdown of basic build quality across nearly every item. It reflects shoddy materials, poor craftsmanship, and a company that clearly no longer stands by its products. When I reached out to customer service, they dismissed my concerns, claiming that since the furniture was “on sale,” it didn’t come with a warranty—a fact that was never disclosed before purchase. I gave them a deadline to correct this stance and got no response. This violates the Uniform Commercial Code and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, both of which guarantee that consumer goods must be fit for their intended purpose. Ashley’s behavior also crosses into Deceptive Trade Practices territory. Discounted doesn’t mean defective, and it certainly doesn’t mean exempt from the law. To top it off, VP of Operations LuLu Marks made it clear that customer satisfaction isn’t a priority. The message was essentially: “We got your money. You’re on your own.” For $4,000, I expected quality, integrity, and at the very least, accountability. Instead, I got unsafe, defective furniture and a company that refuses to take responsibility. Ashley Furniture is no longer the brand it once was—buyers beware.

I came (with hubby in tow) to Ashley store in Huntsville and a young women approached me named LeGina, she was friendly asked me my name and wanted to know what I was looking for which was a bedrm set with deep drawers. She showed me 2 good wood sets and being I was just looking she asked for my name and wrote it down. She invited me to a appt invite which I came back with my husband. We looked at what I saw before which he also liked and we got a really nice deal. Mrs. LeGina was attentive to me before and after me and my husband came and did her best with the store mangers to get us the best price that my husband and I agreed upon. I had to update my review because we went in specifically asking for a piece of furniture and the order was wrong when it got delivered. We even double checked that it was the specific item we asked for when we were signing the paper work and paying because the price didn’t look right. But we were assured that it was. When it got delivered it indeed was not the right one and when we called to let them know nothing could be done and we would need to be charged $150 to return the item. I don’t know how we were supposed to get around this issue considering we trusted the sales rep that she was ordering the right thing even when we double checked it. It’s not like we were able to go into the system ourselves and order it. I hate writing bad reviews but now we are stuck with an expensive piece of furniture that is not needed. Old review: We went to Ashley for a lot of furniture including mattresses and got wonderful service from Kiara. She made everything easy and was very patient with us.

I am updating this 5 star review due to some critical issues with the delivery scheduling of my items and refusal of the store to take accountability for the conflicting information that was received between the store, customer service and delivery scheduling team. I placed an order for furniture My daughter's bedroom as a birthday present and informed the store that I absolutely needed the furniture and mattress delivered at the same time. The salesperson told me that the furniture was in stock but the mattress was not. However she informed me that there we're over 100 in stock in Mississippi and that it should not be an issue to get them in time for her birthday. When I followed up I was able to schedule the delivery with the understanding that the mattress should be in place on 29 April which would allow them to both be delivered on 3 May. I followed up a few days later as instructed and the store told me that unfortunately the truck was now too full and I would have to schedule the delivery for 8 May. I again told the manager at the store that I would absolutely need them all scheduled together but I would go ahead and reserve 8 May with the anticipation that there would potentially be adjustments that would allow the mattress to be added to the furniture delivery. I called the scheduling team this morning, 3 May, to see if there had been any updates related to the mattress being added and they informed me that I didn't have anything to worry about because the mattress and the furniture were all on the truck together. Based on this I did not leave to go buy a new mattress locally. However when the furniture arrived there was no mattress included . I called the store and asked that the mattress be removed from my order and refunded because it was not delivered. They told me that I would still have to pay a 10% restocking fee even though I never actually received the mattress. There is definitely conflicting information as to where the mattress actually even is. The representative in the store told me she would Elevate to her management which she did. I received a call back and was informed that they would waive the 10% restocking fee but would charge me for a "free" mattress pad that I received with the warranty I paid for. I told them that I would return the mattress pad as it was not something that I absolutely needed and they informed me that I could not return it due to covid protocol. The manager informed me that there was nothing else he could do to help me, that he had recordings of all of our conversations as backup and that he had exercised everything he could. He referred me to customer service. Unfortunately it is past their business hours but I will absolutely be following up and I completely understand the negative reviews that have been made previously by other customers. My simple request was to not be charged for a mattress that was not received and therefore should not have a need to be restocked since we don't even know if it has truthfully left a warehouse. I also should not be charged for a free mattress pad that I will gladly give back to them. This has absolutely been a learning experience and unfortunately the original positive review that was made for the salesperson is completely overshadowed by the fact that I am told that I will be charged for an inconvenience that never had to happen.

A big thanks to Sean Clark for helping me find the perfect sectional to match our accent rugs! He answered all of our questions and we are leaving as happy customers! We will be back!!

I bought a sofa and loveseat from Ashley. I also purchased the $200.00 five star service package. I have filed two claims to have pet stain or mud that my pet tracked in cleaned off of my sofa. Both claims have been denied. I called the store. The manager said she would reach out to the five star protection people because it should’ve been covered and now that store manager will not return my calls. A word of caution. Do not buy the five star protection plan from Ashley you are just giving them $200 For no service. I would not recommend buying anything from Ashley or their five-star service plan. When the store manager cannot even be bothered to return a call after you’ve called three times and left three messages.

10/10 recommend Ashley! Jalen was our sales associate and he was an incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely be returning!

My experience was absolutely terrible. I came in for a simple purchase of a box spring for my mattress. It should have been in and out. The sales guy throws a purple pillow on the counter and says, "Guess what, I'm gonna throw this in today as a complimentary gift." The bill came out to be almost $400.00. When I looked at the paperwork they had charged me $180.00 for the pillow. I asked why I had been charged for the pillow and I was told, "Oh we can't give you the pillow and show it selling as $0.00 for compliance reasons." The online advertised price for the box spring was $250.00 (It's $150.00 on Amazon with free shipping.) The store manager refused to take the items back and stated she would have to call corporate to get authorization to return my items and issue me a refund. The store manager had no feedback or explanation regarding the dishonesty or shady business practices. Do not spend a dollar here, this place sucks.

Ashley Furniture – Defective $4000 Purchase & Unacceptable Service I purchased $4000 of Ashley Furniture that’s only 3 months old, and I’m extremely disappointed. The bed frame has bent support beams and broken legs that cause dangerous sagging, with chipped, scuffed rails. I ordered two USB‑C nightstands but received one USB‑C and one USB‑A—the USB‑A has a broken marble corner, and the USB‑C has a crushed back panel with chipped legs. The dresser without mirror is coming apart at the seams, and the dresser with mirror has malfunctioning drawers and a paint defect. When I contacted customer service, I was told no warranty applies because the items were on sale. I gave them until the end of today to correct their stance, but received no response. Legally, under the Uniform Commercial Code (as supported by Henningsen v. Bloomfield Motors, 32 N.J. 358, 1960) and the Magnuson‑Moss Warranty Act, products must be fit for their intended purpose. The defective furniture clearly violates the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Additionally, their refusal to honor warranty claims breaches protections under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and FTC guidelines. For a $4000 investment from a company once known for excellence, this is completely unacceptable. Potential buyers, please beware. Update: VP of Operations LuLu Marks essentially gave us the big middle finger. Their message is clear: “We got your money, go bug someone else.” Now, they’re claiming that because they offered a discount, the furniture doesn’t come with a warranty—something they never disclosed upfront. Had we known that, we never would have bought it. On top of that, the furniture doesn’t even meet basic standards and is a safety hazard. While they offered some replacement components, that doesn’t fix the full issue—and to make matters worse, they won’t even provide the labor to fix it. They need to take responsibility and make this right, but clearly, they don’t care.

Went into the Ashley Furniture Homestore just to "browse" the Presidents Day sale items and dang if I didn't come out almost two grand lighter, lol. My salesperson, Hazel, made me a deal I couldn't refuse! They have a beautiful, well lit showroom with a really good selection in an assortment of styles for all tastes. Hazel helped me locate what I was interested in, gave me a satisfactory price, including delivery and setup, and explained the process and order terms clearly. She patiently smiled while I changed my mind a couple of times and got me on my way quickly and efficiently. It was a positive experience and I will return.
