My experience was absolutely terrible. I came in for a simple purchase of a box spring for my mattress. It should have been in and out. The sales guy throws a purple pillow on the counter and says, "Guess what, I'm gonna throw this in today as a complimentary gift." The bill came out to be almost $400.00. When I looked at the paperwork they had charged me $180.00 for the pillow. I asked why I had been charged for the pillow and I was told, "Oh we can't give you the pillow and show it selling as $0.00 for compliance reasons." The online advertised price for the box spring was $250.00 (It's $150.00 on Amazon with free shipping.) The store manager refused to take the items back and stated she would have to call corporate to get authorization to return my items and issue me a refund. The store manager had no feedback or explanation regarding the dishonesty or shady business practices. Do not spend a dollar here, this place sucks.

Ashley Furniture – Defective $4000 Purchase & Unacceptable Service I purchased $4000 of Ashley Furniture that’s only 3 months old, and I’m extremely disappointed. The bed frame has bent support beams and broken legs that cause dangerous sagging, with chipped, scuffed rails. I ordered two USB‑C nightstands but received one USB‑C and one USB‑A—the USB‑A has a broken marble corner, and the USB‑C has a crushed back panel with chipped legs. The dresser without mirror is coming apart at the seams, and the dresser with mirror has malfunctioning drawers and a paint defect. When I contacted customer service, I was told no warranty applies because the items were on sale. I gave them until the end of today to correct their stance, but received no response. Legally, under the Uniform Commercial Code (as supported by Henningsen v. Bloomfield Motors, 32 N.J. 358, 1960) and the Magnuson‑Moss Warranty Act, products must be fit for their intended purpose. The defective furniture clearly violates the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Additionally, their refusal to honor warranty claims breaches protections under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and FTC guidelines. For a $4000 investment from a company once known for excellence, this is completely unacceptable. Potential buyers, please beware. Update: VP of Operations LuLu Marks essentially gave us the big middle finger. Their message is clear: “We got your money, go bug someone else.” Now, they’re claiming that because they offered a discount, the furniture doesn’t come with a warranty—something they never disclosed upfront. Had we known that, we never would have bought it. On top of that, the furniture doesn’t even meet basic standards and is a safety hazard. While they offered some replacement components, that doesn’t fix the full issue—and to make matters worse, they won’t even provide the labor to fix it. They need to take responsibility and make this right, but clearly, they don’t care.

Went into the Ashley Furniture Homestore just to "browse" the Presidents Day sale items and dang if I didn't come out almost two grand lighter, lol. My salesperson, Hazel, made me a deal I couldn't refuse! They have a beautiful, well lit showroom with a really good selection in an assortment of styles for all tastes. Hazel helped me locate what I was interested in, gave me a satisfactory price, including delivery and setup, and explained the process and order terms clearly. She patiently smiled while I changed my mind a couple of times and got me on my way quickly and efficiently. It was a positive experience and I will return.

I have loved Ashley’s furniture for over 15 years! Sadly I had a really bad experience here!! I am here because the manager never calls me back after they tell me they will So after all of my calls maybe they can help me if they even read this! We bought several pieces of bedroom furniture and a couch. Well besides it took almost 3 months to get everything (even through they told us it would take a month) one of my pieces of furniture smelled really bad, really bad I mean it smells like a fish market. And not the fresh ones… Thinking it will go away within a week or two, nothing. I have tried so many things to pull the smell away and nothing works. I have been calling because the smell is not normal! Every time they tell me the manager will give me a call and nothing! It is just one piece of my bedroom set but it makes me frustrated since I can’t use it because my clothes absorbs the smell and it is embarrassing! Ashley furniture please respond to this because I am getting a bit frustrated and I don’t want to bring my piece of furniture to your store so you all can smell it and do something about it! Thank you!

The furniture is not worth the money. My living room set is falling apart in less than 2 years. DO NOT fall for the warranty scam. They will find every excuse not to fix anything. Even though I have in writing the contract on what it is supposed to cover. I do believe that's breach of contract and I personally would like a full refund. Then I'll go to Rooms To Go. Better quality and much better reviews. There warranty company out of Florida has a 1 star on every platform. Please save yourself the money and future headach and run from both companies.

I hate this but i have to change my review from 5 down to 1, which I never do. The process by Ashley has been terrible. Delivered and put together with broken pieces and one entire section of the couch was the wrong color. Said they were ordering the parts and would come back to deliver and assemble again. The couch came, the drivers were unprepared for the assembly so i provided the tools needed, the couch doesn’t fit together properly, and they left the couch a whole mess (didn’t put pillows and cushions back on, etc). The driver even said the couch wasn’t going together right, but he wasn’t going to drive it all the way back to Birmingham so he was going to “make it work”. Took apart the connections and put it back together and it still wasn’t fully correct. When i asked about the part for the bed, he said he didn’t know anything about that. Well, 2+ months after my initial purchase, zero communication except when I’ve called to follow up, and the replacement rail just showed up via standard delivery. Customer service isn’t open Mondays (crazy since it’s a standard work day) so i can’t even get ahold of somebody to find out what I’m supposed to do with this giant box. I also kept asking the last person i spoke with if this was going to be a claim on my purchased extended warranty, since it was delivered broken and not our fault, and she couldn’t answer me. For how much I’ve spent, it should be easier to get the details. They seem very unorganized and use subcontractors so have very little management over the service after purchase. I also specifically asked the sales person, who seemed great and earned that initial 5-star review, if the couch cushions were machine washable and if it would stand up well with multiple children. Well, it’s not. The cushions are filled with loose filling, they end up very misshapen and have to constantly be re-fluffed and fixed almost daily. I wish there was a guarantee of purchase window because I’d honestly return it for something more suited for my lifestyle, which is very disappointing since i was very detailed on what i was looking for at the time.

Customer service is great when you purchase, but no one calls when they get your furniture in from warehouse. They also will promise to call you with updates on your delivery after giving you exact shipping/receiving dates but guess what? No calls! Shocker. Do yourself a favor and give your money to some place else.

Cres is a very lovely representative. She explained everything very clearly and very very helpful throughout the entire purchase from start to end. Will recommend Cres for anyone stop-by shopping for your next in-house furniture.
