My husband and I went to Ashley furniture to Buy a new sectional it was delivered two weeks later and the sectional did not fit our living room. The delivery guys did not stay long enough to make sure everything was situated for us! After they left my husband and I moved the couch where we wanted it, and Both hated how it looked in our living room. We immediately called Ashley and asked if there were any way we could return pieces of the sectional and pay for two couches. The lady on the phone asked if the delivery guys were still there and we said no they had just left and she said we’d have to call back Tuesday and talk to personnel about our concerns. My husband has been On and off the phone with Ashley for about a week now and finally, they told us that we will have to pay for a restocking fee a delivery fee and a pick up fee! We are trying to return Pieces of the sectional so we could have two separate couches. They would be making more money off of us by us doing that. It makes no sense for us to have to pay a restocking fee. When we asked The lady, if we could speak to her manager, she said there is no way to talk to our manager on the phone. You have to write an email. When he asked if he could speak to her manager‘s manager she told us that there’s absolutely no way to talk to that manager. If You are trying to buy furniture I would suggest going somewhere else. Do not do business with Ashley Furniture.

Even though my bedroom suit had been discontinued, the good people here were able to order the part I needed for my bed. They were very helpful.

Had a terrible experience with Ernest they stayed over an extra hour outside business hours to do what I thought was a negotiation for furniture I've been looking at for months all to figure out I was not getting what I wanted .. ended up getting a smaller version of the couch we picked out which was not disclosed !! I'm very disappointed bc I thought driving 30 mins to the store to do the deal I trusted my sales guy all to feel very much played ! It is very very hard for me to push my legs down to close these and I’m unable to do it I have chronic back pain and we have talked and emailed with Ashley‘s all morning long and they won’t. They refuse to exchange the couch. It’s very unfair. What is going on here I’ve never seen a Business not be able to return an item after two days or exchange an item we were going to pay extra for the electric recliners, but they won’t let us do it. It’s very, very frustrating. What has happened to us and we will never ever use Ashley’s again unless this can be resolved, but it doesn’t seem to really matter. We’ve gotten nowhere absolutely nowhere this morning and no one will help us. It’s only been three days since our delivery and we’re still waiting on the chair

I have been an Ashley customer for nearly 20 years. However, here in Huntsville, I cannot get Ashely Furniture to deliver my furniture order onto Redstone Arsenal, since May 30. They tried twice to deliver but failed because of identification issues with their personnel. Warehouse in Bessemer said they would escalate to upper management. Sales manager from store was going to to the same. The store manager angrily offered to cancel my order but advised she was keeping 10% for restocking fees. Then she hung up on me! Never once did she offer to fix the problem. They have my $2400. I just want my table, chairs, and desk delivered. This is how they treat military families. It's interesting they are currently running their Stars & Stripes sale right now!

Legina helped us find the best bedroom set for us. Very appreciative of her time and information, unfortunately the 3rd party for delivery was awful. They showed up with my furniture but wouldn’t build the bed around my adjustable base, which Ashley told me they would. They left without notice and didn’t leave any of my new bedroom furniture. I went to Bragg’s Furniture and had no issues. They have their own delivery guys and I got great furniture and customer service.

I spent $4,000 on Ashley Furniture just three months ago, and the experience has been a complete disaster. The bed frame collapsed due to bent support beams and broken legs—posing a serious safety hazard. The rails arrived chipped and scuffed, with zero sign of quality inspection. I ordered two USB‑C nightstands, but received one USB‑C and one USB‑A. The USB‑A nightstand came with a broken marble corner, while the USB‑C nightstand had a crushed back panel and chipped legs. One dresser is splitting at the seams, and the other has malfunctioning drawers and a visible paint defect. This isn’t just a few defects—it’s a total breakdown of basic build quality across nearly every item. It reflects shoddy materials, poor craftsmanship, and a company that clearly no longer stands by its products. When I reached out to customer service, they dismissed my concerns, claiming that since the furniture was “on sale,” it didn’t come with a warranty—a fact that was never disclosed before purchase. I gave them a deadline to correct this stance and got no response. This violates the Uniform Commercial Code and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, both of which guarantee that consumer goods must be fit for their intended purpose. Ashley’s behavior also crosses into Deceptive Trade Practices territory. Discounted doesn’t mean defective, and it certainly doesn’t mean exempt from the law. To top it off, VP of Operations LuLu Marks made it clear that customer satisfaction isn’t a priority. The message was essentially: “We got your money. You’re on your own.” For $4,000, I expected quality, integrity, and at the very least, accountability. Instead, I got unsafe, defective furniture and a company that refuses to take responsibility. Ashley Furniture is no longer the brand it once was—buyers beware.
