For reference, we have ordered furniture from Ashley at other locations previously with no issue. My wife found a bed she wanted for our daughter online and decided to stop at the prattville location to order on 11/9/24. Hindsight, we should have just ordered online. She showed the salesperson the online listing which indicated shipping in one week and she helped her place the order and informed her it would “arrive by thanksgiving or first week of December at the latest.” Cool. I reviewed the receipt when she got home and noticed the price charged was more than the online price, so I called and was informed that what you see online is not the same as the stores since they are franchised but they would match the price by mailing a check for the difference in 10-14 days. Here we are a month later and still no check. Not a huge deal since we should have checked before paying but was the first instance of not doing what they say. They did call twice in the coming weeks from distribution to say “the order is still coming and we’ll let you know when it ships.” Thanksgiving week passes and I get concerned since it’s a gift for our daughter and call and am told 3 weeks but they don’t know why etc. Few days later I call the store and am told my the manager that he would call the vendor and try to get a hard shipping date since it keeps getting pushed back. He never calls back but claims he did but no missed calls and no voicemail. I call each week until current date trying to get an update and am told something different by everyone I talk to. Finally, today Lenard says he pulled up the production list and the headboard is the issue and they won’t start production on that till Mid January. If this information was available, why was I not told until I had to go around the world asking questions?! I understand you cannot control the vendors etc but the horrible communication, inability to provide accurate information and general lack of customer service is unacceptable. Tried to cancel the order with Lenard and was told again that we would receive the refund check within 10-14 business days. We paid by card, this should be an easy refund back to the account. We’ll see if they do the right thing here and I will update accordingly.

I went in to Ashley furniture on May 19th and purchase a living room suite, bedroom suite , and dinette set . I made a cash purchase a few hundreds shy of being a 8,000 purchase. Well 2 delivery guys brought my furniture approximately 3 weeks later. While bringing the loveseat in they bumped my wall. Mind you this is a newly built home. I went into Ashleys as soon as I closed on May May19th. Well, after we got the livingroom set in place. We noticed that the couch was not right. Called the store express our concern. They send an warehouse associate out on June24th. I express, he called his manager via phone. I showed him where my wall was scratched up from when it was delivered. He took a picture with his ipad. He stated he would get back with us to set up a date to pick the defected loveseat. I requested he come after July 4th. Okay myself and my husband made numerous of calls as to when the loveseat would be picked up. You would think we were calling the wrong store. Because there was notation of any of this. We would leave vm on the warehouse vm. No return call. Finally, the last week of July the loveseat was picked up. In between them picking the item up I called and called to get an update. No one knew what I was talking about or they said we will get somebody to call you. Will let it be known I never received the call. So Sept. 8th, I called and asked for a manager and corporate number. Now at this point everything started to make sense they remembered all about this order and was going to call me just this week, the same week I called.. interesting. Well needless to say they had my couch the next day on Saturday before 12. Now, I asked the gentlemen to take a picture of the wall. The manager over the warehouse called me back in reference and he stated O wasnt aware of the "little scratch" on the wall. I came unglued how dare you down play the negligence of your deliverers. When I corrected him as to "the little scratch". He tried to explain that he didn't mean it like that. But, I made it known I don't care if it was little or big. I didn't do it and I brought it to their attention. If my house going to be torn up. Let it be by us. Then he stated they never had any drivers of another race besides african american or white. I knew that was a lie cause this time a latino and white guy brought my furniture this time. I will not buy anything else from Ashley. This was my first and last time buying anything from here

In the past year we've experienced very poor Management service at Ashley Furniture. The Manager at the Prattville,AL location is very unprofessional and very inconsiderate of the customer. 1st issue we ordered a sectional sofa for our home and the delivery drivers couldn't get it to fit because our hallway was narrow. They very hard to try to get the sofa to fit without tearing my hallway and doorway up. Long story short they had to take it back to the store. That weekend we went to meet the Mgr. to discuss what happened and to select another sofa that would fit. When we arrived at the store to discuss the issue with Mgr. he down graded the delivery drivers and acted as if they just didn't try hard enough and wasn't convinced that the furniture wouldn't fit. He just wouldn't except the fact we needed to select another couch. He kept insisting more ppl come out and try. I stated it won' t and you're not tearing up my walls to get a sofa in to prove a point. 2nd issue the Mgr. sold me and my wife a mattress that was out of stock and he said the warehouse Mgr. was bringing to the store. We waited at the store for at least 2 hours and we asked him for a update he called the warehouse Mgr. on the phone and the Mgr. was at home and mattress wasn't in stock. This was unbelievably unprofessional on the Store Mgr. behalf and he was very dispassionate about it. I needed a mattress so I had to buy one at a competitor not to mention I gave my old one away because I purchased one from Ashley furniture that wasn't even in stock.3rd issue my wife and I purchased a new bedroom suite for our 2 kids. We asked to be the last delivery of the day on our delivery day. The delivery driver contacted my wife and she explained she was 30 minutes out. The delivery knocked on my door at 14:01pm and they put a sign on my door at 14:05pm which was 4 minutes later. My wife got off work to meet the drivers and they only waited 4 minutes at my home before putting a sign on the door before leaving and said she was 30 minutes away. We can't make this up we have the video footage to show it. Spoke with Mgr. Requested a refund because once again we tore our kids beds down excited to get new ones. After talking with Mgr. his customer service skills were horrible as usual all talk no solution or customer concern. How important is a customer to Ashley Furniture? People work to hard for their money to be treated UNPROFESSIONAL by the Mgr. We cancelled that furniture order because I don't spend my hard earned money where I'm not appreciated. Ashley has a horrible Mgr. at this branch they have a wonderful sales team and that's who my heart goes out to because when customers are mistreated the Mgr. in charge the sales team suffers and that's just not right?

Update - For full disclosure, I updated my review from 2 stars to 4 stars after the followup call from Ashley Home Store representative Karey. She explained their corrective actions as well as root cause. She ensured me that the individuals involved with the delivery scheduling would be retrained and took full responsibility for the issue below that occurred. She has reassured the confidence that I originally had in the Ashley brand knowing that there are customer service managers, such as Karey still looking out for the best interest of their clients. I can now say that I recommend Ashley Furniture. Thank you Karey and the local Prattvile Ashley Furniture store for the handling of this concern. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I purchased a couch and matching love seat at the Prattville, AL Ashley store. The customer service at the local store was great. I purchased the furniture with the key requirement of having delivery only in the morning (due to a flight out and my work schedule). The local store put it in my order and ensured that I would be given a delivery date and time that I requested. Three days prior to delivery, I was told that my delivery time was in the late afternoon and to contact the main customer service line. The individuals at the main customer number were unprofessional, unwilling to work with me, and not once apologized. At this point I was forced to reschedule the delivery 5 days later (mind you without any couches in my house). Two days prior to delivery, I was again notified that I was getting an afternoon delivery. After calling the main customer service number again - they were unprofessional and unwilling to help. Fortunately, the local sales rep (Ms. Smith) was able to change the delivery time to the morning. The delay wouldn't bother me if the main customer service representatives were professional, took responsibility, and tried to come up with a solution. Why did I pay $99 for delivery if they were unable to deliver on the time and date requested? Due to this experience - I do NOT recommend Ashley furniture; however, if you must go with Ashley Furniture - go with this local store.

I recently purchased an Ashley brand mattress along with a king size bedroom suit. The sales person said the mattress was actually made by Serta and was covered under their "protection plan" ($300 extra). After the first night on the mattress we noticed that our heads felt lower than our bodies. We decided to give it a few nights to get used but noticed that there was a definite hump in the center of the mattress. We just could not get comfortable with this hump between us so I went back to the store and explained the problem to the manager. The manager directed me to the customer service clerk at the store who sent my information to their corporate office and said someone would be in touch. Ashley Furniture ended up sending a "technician" from another company to my home to inspect the mattress. The technician laid a string across the mattress with a ruler to measure for a depression or sagging in the mattress. I explained to her that it wasn't sagging but that there was a hump in the middle. She then looked at the mattress and said she could see the hump I was talking about. She even laid on the mattress and said she could feel the hump. She took pictures and went ahead with her normal measuring technique for sagging despite the fact that sagging was not my complaint. She told me that someone would be in touch with in five days. Two days later I get a call from an Ashley Furniture "customer service" rep who told me that the measurements taken for my mattress did not fall into their required deviation of 1.5". I explained to them that there was a HUMP in the middle of the mattress, not a depression, and we are miserable. She listened to what I had to say and basically said there was nothing she could do. I called the manager at the store and explained what happened and he transferred me to the customer service rep at the store who also told me their was nothing she could do. I called the manager back and asked him if he could help me. He said he would make a phone call to their corporate office and would call me back. Of course he never did called back. So....I spent almost $5000.00 and am now stuck with a mattress I HATE with a big HUMP in the middle. I am FURIOUS!! Any other store would have exchanged it no questions asked. Never again!!

Trying to obtain Warranty service is worse than pulling teeth!! I've been getting nothing but the run-around since March of 2105!! The 800 Number for Customer Care tells me they have no record of my purchase because they changed to a new system sometime after my purchase. So, since they cannot pull it up in their system, they cannot help! Sent in a scan of all my original receipts to a CSR at the local store. She said she was able to get a ER Ticket for parts created and they should contact me in a week. Well, they did not so when I contacted that CSR again, she said she apologized, and then said they said I needed to make this claim under my Guardian Extended Warranty. Well, this is for a mechanical issue not a fabric issue. According to the Limited Warranty, I have a 5-year Parts warranty on the frame and mechanical recliner mechanism...so don't see why they are trying to shuffle me off to a warranty that just covers the leather itself! Run around since March... Update: Finally got the Guest Care to actually send the parts...and I have Received the Parts. Now, there is a little hiccup with how to proceed! The "Corporate" Guest Services said to call the local store to pay for the service charge, then to call the Corporate Guest Services back and they would schedule a technician to come out. Well, call the store and am first told they don't know anything about that and aren't set-up to take payment for "Services". Grrr. call Guest Services back, SHE call the store and explains procedure, tells me to call the store BACK because now they KNOW what to do and how to charge it, then call HER back again to schedule it!! So, I do that. Call the store back...and get told that their customer service people are off an Sunday and Monday and to call back TUESDAY! This was AFTER supposedly being instructed on what to do. Sigh And to whomever is replying as the Owner, LS ... how on earth does one contact you?? There is no phone number or email in your reply, and no method I can see to message you...so what does one do? Call the store and ask to speak to "LS"?? UPDATE 7/23/2015 A loneTech arrived at the house today to replace the parts ... she looked it at for like 2 minutes and said the wooden frame was broken and that she could not do anything. She would call Guest Services and they would have to then schedule something different and probably have to come out and pick it up to take it back and repair it. Grrrrr....see, this is why it would have made MORE sense to send someone out to take a look BEFORE blindly ordering parts and scheduling a repair. Now, at least another week of waiting. At least the frame has a lifetime parts warranty. Sheesh, will this frustration EVER end in a functioning sofa?
