We've had the best experience with Bakersfield Ashley's Furniture. We purchased several difference pieces of furniture to furnish a new home. We bought a 6 piece sectional. Once we had the sectional delivered, we decided that one of the sectional pieces would not work. We contacted Mychal at Ashley's regarding the issue. He immediately worked on getting us a refund and to see if Ashley's would take the section piece back. They contacted us and picked it up. They reimbursed us within a week. We went back and spent the money they reimbursed plus more. Mychal and his staff are all very pleasant. Thank you.

These people & their 3rd party warranty partner are a scam. They specifically assured any damage would be covered; normal wear & tear & pet damage to the leather. The damage claim was denied! Please read over Reguard/Extend (same company) product protection terms & conditioning before being scammed into purchasing. They are not BBB accredited & have multiple complaints. Never purchasing from Ashley's again!

The customer service was excellent the salesperson Herman that helped me also did a excellent job making sure that I was pleased with what I was buying even after calling him back the next day helped me as it was the first day I was very pleased with the service I got from the service person and the manager were very polite and professional would recommend to anyone.

Don’t waste your time in store, buy online prices are better with no hassle or having a sales person follow your every step. I walked in during their all over advertisement of “entire store 25% off” lies! They forgot to mention that you have to spend over 10k to receive the discount. I’m going to wait for the next holiday sale and buy online.

Our experience started out very positive during the sales process but quickly declined afterward. We were initially told our couches would be delivered within a few days of purchase, so we sold our existing couch to make room. A day or two before the scheduled delivery, we were informed that the sofa would be delayed for an additional week and a half at that point putting that to almost 2 weeks after purchase. We asked if there was any assistance available—such as delivery setup or a discount or if there was any way to get the product in quicker due to the inconvenience —since my husband would be working out of town for following next couple of weeks and I would not be able to assemble the furniture on my own. We were told nothing could be done except getting the “sofa” delivered at the end of the week and that’s the best they could do. That still didn’t help with our issue of delivery for the following week. On the first delivery date, the loveseat arrived instead of the sofa. Without us even asking, the delivery driver mentioned that the rest of our order was in the warehouse and was confused as to why it wasn’t being delivered. When we relayed this information to our salesperson, we were told the delivery driver didn’t know what he was talking about. This response felt dismissive and added to the confusion and frustration. Overall, the lack of communication and care after the sale—especially after spending $5,000—was disappointing. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we would not recommend Ashley to friends or family. *UPDATING REVIEW FROM 2 STARS TO 1 STAR* we reached out via email as they requested to “work towards a resolution” and their “resolution” is telling us that they are also “tracking” our product and now telling us a part of the order is also going to be delayed another day. Still no offer to compensate on installation due to their errors. This is absolutely unheard of. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY! Do your research…🙏

Don't ever buy from them. Save your headaches and money and go else where. I bought sofas and I ended up getting in pieces throughout the month of December. Also we noticed that our sofa was damaged due to the delivery process.Not to mention the poor customer service they have when you call to explain yourself to them and they try to give you a small inconvenience percentage for their items in transit. They dont understand that we are the ones that keep them in business.Their overall solution is so poor customer service experience because they know you already purchased the items. If you want full customer service experience and value go some where else.

As of now, I give a 1...AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN RECEIVED OUR PURCHASE YET. But can we talk about how they dont take your old furniture out anymore..... Delivery has been a mess. Seems like for the Bakersfield store, it is the blind leading the blind. Oh good luck calling and trying to get through to someone in the local store, let alone IN AMERICA! Only 2 of our 3 items purchased arrived at the warehouse. I was given 2 options, 1- accept partial delivery, 1 week before Christmas or 2- reschedule the whole order. I asked if I could call right back while I conferred with my spouse and was told yes, that any customer service agent would be able to help me. I called back in 30 minutes, to be told it was too late, my order was on the truck (REMEMBER this is someone overseas, that can barely speak English telling me this). I attempted to call customer service 3 times, just to be told the exact same thing, it was like they had a generic script in front of them. They claimed they didnt have the ability to transfer me to an agent in the States, nor was there a manager available. Of course not, they're sitting in their mud hut in a 3rd world country getting paid pennies on the dollar to handle an American store's business. (I will be contacting my congressmen and women to address that situation). Finally, I drove to their store. Mind you, I live about an hour away! Spoke to the manager on site. Was assured my deliver for this morning 12/19/25 was canceled and I would be hearing from him directly to reschedule. Never heard anything about rescheduling even still. Oh....but the delivery showed up at my house this morning at quarter to 8 a.m. We were not available to accept the partial delivery. They sent the team of 2, an hour up into the mountains on a delivery that was CANCELED!. Talk about a waste of resources and poor communication. My next call, if my furniture isn't delivered in its entirety, by the 27th of December, as that's the date the young lady gave me, will be to the BBB and consumer affairs. Im a big Yelp reviewer as well as social media contributor, so reviews there are pretty much a definite. Word of mouth is already in the works with our dissatisfaction with our recent purchase experience. We are repeat Ashley customers, however, after this incident, I highly doubt we will be back. Today, I intend on contacting their Corporate Office in Wisconsin and speaking to them about how this Bakersfield store is run. - Regretful Buyer

We later on wanted to add more furniture to our living room and Mychal was very responsive to my questions, texts, and helping us out in the store. Sales personnel were really friendly . No one tried to push any item on us. We picked out what we wanted. After the purchase they were still available with any help we needed.

Last week we were in here to purchase a couple chairs. As we were pulling away we realized that the total didn't seem right. We reviewed the receipt and saw a $199.99 charge for a protection plan that we didn't want, and were never informed of. We immediately returned to the store and told them we didn't want it. They said they would reverse the charge, but it would take 3-5 business days for it to show up on our credit card. Five days passed and there was no credit, so we called the number on our receipt and were told that instead of crediting our credit card, they had credited an Ashley account that we never opened. (They opened an Ashley account in our name without our knowledge or consent.) They said the refund had to be run by the "management team" and that would take another 7-10 business days before they would credit our card. Not informing us of the protection plan is clearly against the law, opening an account to park our credit is also very likely illegal. Never again. UPDATE: I responded to Ashley's request for further information regarding a refund and was assured that the refund was processed on 11/19. It is now a full two weeks later and it is still not posted or even pending. The takeaway here is that you simply can't trust these people; they snuck in a charge, and the drag their feet to make it right.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. I was in desperate need of a new bed and mattress and made the decision to go to Ashly’s, once I entered I was never greeted by a sales representative. No one ever came to help me, yet a few of the lady’s that where there made eye contact either me but never approached me. I had asked for assistance and they said they would send someone and they never showed. I ended up leave very disappointed and as I was walking out one of the sales representative was fixing a couch by the door made eye contact with me but never greeted me or even asked me if I needed help. I felt like they didn’t wanna help me at all and when I approach them, I felt like I was bugging them with my questions. Very disappointed with the customer service.

Spend $4184 on a brand new California king bed set (2 nightstands, dresser, chest, and bed). Well the nightstands, dresser, and chest were in good condition due to being assembled at the factory. Installers came and completely ruined the drawers on the bottom of my bed frame. The only thing they had to actually put together and they couldn’t even do that. It’s been almost 4 months since purchasing and we’re still waiting on the parts. As of today the date is 10/28/25. We purchased our dinning room table and had no issues. We were looking to replace our living room and entertainment center but will definitely look elsewhere now. Never again will we be buying furniture there. FYI Ashley’s furniture the sales order # is 220904590. Do your research and you’ll see there’s a claim that still hasent been resolved. Place should offer partial refund or something for this horrible service.

Wish there was 0 stars as an option. Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. We spent thousands of dollars on a couch from Ashley and it was delivered defective. Their so-called “customer care” team has done nothing but stall and push us in circles. The technician they sent was honest enough to admit that Ashley almost never does anything to resolve these issues and told us to go straight to the store manager. His written report, however, was a total misrepresentation of what he told us in person. That’s shady, dishonest, and unacceptable. Ashley Furniture is happy to take your money, but when the product is defective, they’ll leave you stuck with it. Zero accountability. Zero integrity. We are demanding a full refund or replacement immediately. Until then, I will be sharing this experience publicly, filing complaints with the BBB, FTC, and State Attorney General, and warning others not to make the same mistake we did. Buyer beware: Ashley does not stand behind their products.

Ashley Furniture are very known because quality and elegant furniture. But I also want to add that the staff members Pawan and Sal have been very helpful and very helpful to get the furniture we wanted. From now on all my furniture will be from Ashley!

The headboard I ordered was delivered with a piece of veneer missing, in a very visible place. I immediately filed a warranty claim and sent photos (because the store can’t help you). Was told I would hear back in 24-72 business hours. On business day 5 now, so I called back. Person put “an urgent request “ in to appropriate warranty section. Was told you should hear back in 24-72 business hours. They need to bring me a new one and take this piece of junk. I will NOT do business with Ashley Furniture again. Frustrating to get answers and service.

William was very thorough. He guided us to different bedroom sets and then allowed us to walk freely around the store to find what we wanted. NIGHTMARE!!! Maybe we’ll all get lucky enough for this place to go out of business like Sears did. Ordered a split king AND a queen bed Memorial weekend. The queen bed is good. Should have stuck with a full size for the king instead of paying $800 extra for this literal splitting headache. 🤕 Delivered June 13. One half of the mattress delivered was a mistagged twin vs. twin XL. That issue was corrected….but not with ease. Currently, the headache 🤕 continues over THE OTHER ORIGINAL properly tagged twin XL mattress having a defect. Ashley’s is making us contact the manufacturer for that one. Fine. I get that they don’t want the headache either. No one does. That said, it is not always proper or acceptable for a company that sold you a product with a manufacturing defect to simply tell you to contact the manufacturer, as both the seller and the manufacturer can be held liable. You have the right to expect a product to be safe and functional, and consumers can pursue legal options against the retailer, the manufacturer, or even other parties in the supply chain who failed in their duty to provide a safe product. Ashley’s MIGHT be “ok” if you order something other than a mattress and won’t need any assistance after your purchase. Have ordered with them twice before for furniture without needing anything else from them regarding those purchases. After this experience, we won’t be inclined to do business with them again, though I have read great reviews about Frank Weeden. Note: Good luck calling the main local phone number [in addition to any other number] for help. You will most likely have to go back into the store for “help” that won’t be much. The only blame I have in this thus far, is not having taken the extra time to shop around more thoroughly for this big ticket purchase like I usually do. Don’t take shortcuts. There’s a reason for staying on the straight and narrow. In the end, it saves more time. I knew better, but was hoping it would work out, and it may have had we not split the king. At the very least, we would have only had one issue vs. two. The queen bed worked out fine.

Ashley is a sales gimmick. You may get good quality furniture which is what we thought when we purchased a sofa set. The problem is how they guarantee the furniture to be covered for 5 years! Just know the warranty company is a joke so make sure your furniture is quality craftsmanship!

Love my new coffee table! I just ordered the matching end tables. The Ashley team is great and answered all my questions regarding warranty and delivery. For the coffee table I used free delivery and had it delivered to my doorstep, in a box. I put it together by myself. It’s very sturdy and just what I was looking for.

Eric was our sales rep and he was extremely helpful in finding exactly what we needed. We returned a few days later to buy our couch. Eric was not there, but a kind young lady (I am sorry that I do not remember her name.) helped us. She made sure Eric’s name was listed as sales person. I would not hesitate to shop there again!

We recently purchased the Maggie couch from Ashley Furniture, and we couldn’t be happier! It looks absolutely stunning in our room — stylish, comfortable, and the perfect fit for our space. We bought it on a Tuesday and were impressed by how prompt and professional the delivery team was. It was delivered by Saturday morning at 8:30 AM, right on time and without any issues. After sear hing for a while for counter stools for an Ada counter. The stool needed to be 20* not 24". The salesperson took us back to area and immediately pointed out the perfect stool had a back, great color, swivels and adjustable for the perfet fit for my 94 year old Mom. We had completed our mission in less than. 20 min. They will be delivered in 3 days. Great, knowledgeable, professional 5 star service!

I have been to Ashley Furniture in the past and had developed trust with my salesperson. I'm disabled after five lower back surgeries and one neck surgery. This is the main reason for purchasing second recliner sofa from Ashley. It was never disclosed that my recliner sofa came in 3 sections and snapped together. The salesperson knew about my disability and kept this from me. I now have a $3000 sofa that comes apart simply by going from seated to standing and by slightly leaning to the right side. They sent a technician out for repairs. The technician said that it is not repairable. The company refused a refund or discount despite it being brand new. I have not received my first bill. A sofa should never come apart that easily. I'm going to seek the advice of an attorney but I highly doubt they can do anything. Never again will I use Ashley Furniture in Bakersfield CA or anywhere else. Beware of salespeople there because they are only interested in a commission and don't give a darn about the customer or the needs of a person. SHAME ON YOU ASHLEY FURNITURE!!

These people are so stingy I told them how much a different store quoted me for a chair thing and they didn’t wanna believe me and they wanted me to go to the store and bring them proof that it was $1200 with delivery instead of just taking the $200 off But that’s fine. I went and got the chair and the ottoman for $1300 from furniture city because they have the $300 for 5 years warranty on top of cheap pricing. And yeah, it’s still the Ashley brand if they were nicer it wouldn’t been that bad but my goodness they lost my service

I had a great experience at the Ashley store on Rosedale Hwy in Bakersfield. I was looking for a small kitchen table for the how I just purchased and moved into. Herman was my advisor and he was fantastic! He was so helpful and professional and personable. He made the process of selecting my table so easy.

I was buying a new bedroom set and kitchen set. I planned to continue on to Mor’s and Unrer’s for comparison as I have always had good luck there. I found exactly what I wanted at Ashley and because of the salesman I bought from Ashley without continuing on. Frank Weeden turned out to be more than a sales person. Frank has two sons in the special forces and Frank was special forces himself. He explained everything thoroughly that I bought and made comparisons against other pieces of furniture. At no time was there any pressure at all. We were just having a great conversation, addition to getting the pieces that I wanted. I bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture and did expect a discount. I was prepared to make Frank an offer on the purchase, but the price he gave me was even better than what I expected. Although the store had furniture for everyone’s budget, I did find that all of the inventory to be good to superior quality. If you are looking for furniture, I highly recommend Ashley on Rosedale in Bakersfield and I certainly recommend Frank Weeden. Great to buy from an American veteran.

I have attempted to get a refund for a protection plan of a returned item for over a month and have received nothing but excuses and being sent in circles! We will never, EVER order from here again. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service experience my family has had with Ashley’s Furniture. My elderly grandmother recently purchased a full bedroom furniture set of 5 pieces. When the delivery team arrived, they quickly set up the furniture and left without ensuring it was a proper fit for her room. Unfortunately, the set was far too large for the space, and it overwhelmed her bedroom with minimal space to move around. We called Ashley’s the same day to explain the issue and request to return or exchange parts of the furniture set. However, we were told nothing could be returned because my grandmother had signed a document — without fully understanding what she was signing. She was not clearly informed that returns or exchanges would not be allowed, which is incredibly frustrating and feels very unfair, especially given her age. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the situation — even offering to accept store credit just to get something that fits her needs — we’ve been met with delays and poor communication. A supervisor claimed they would follow up with us, but it has now been over two weeks without any response. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. I expected much better service, especially when dealing with senior customers who may need extra support and clarity. I hope Ashley’s Furniture will take steps to improve their customer care and ensure that customers are properly informed about their policies before making such significant purchases.

I went in with my son to look for a mattress, couches, and a dresser for him, and Steven Jimenez was extremely helpful and very professional. He went above and beyond to help us find everything we needed and on top of that since my son Is in the military and my husband is a veteran they gave us a really good military discount. I highly recommend Ashley‘s furniture!

Im not impresses with the customer services. We were quoted a delivery time that wasn't even close to being met after being told our items were in the warehouse but actually were not. After trying to reach our sales rep by phone to confirm delivery she told us she was off and to contact the store. The rep that answered the phone told us there was nothing that he could do and made it clear that he was not customer service and just a rep. We paid more for the couches then they were listed for online plus online stated door delivery was free but we were charged $200. Over all experience was not pleasant. We only made this purchase because we were told that we did not have to wait on this product because they were in stock.

Great staff and store

I could’ve given a better review just because the treatment was pleasant. However, their return/exchange policy sucks. We bought 8 thousand dollar worth of furniture, beautiful dining set and beautiful Modmax living room set. Sadly the modmax model was a bit big and we wanted to just exchange it for the smaller one. We just got our house and chose Ashley to make our new home beautiful. Now we’re stuck with oversize couches because a measurement mistake. We were planning to buy more furniture for our bedrooms but it seems we will have to take our business somewhere else. Please review policies and do not sign anything if you are not sure what you are getting. Once they delivered that’s it, no way to fix it and no effort to satisfy their costumers. So disappointing.

Gotta say, the staff are real friendly and provide excellent service! Real patient bunch too as my husband and I were looking through a wide range of mattresses and bedroom decor that would suit our budget, design and would be comfortable to support our back structure and weight. Shipping, offloading and installation into our bedroom were all super quick within 3 days. Excellent service and I have already recommended this store location to friends and family.

I was shopping around for a pillow and noticed the night ice pillow on display at the store. The salesperson recommended a pillow size as all the pillows at the store are display models. After placing an order, I was told that the pillow would need to be shipped since they do not stock in store (did not know that). Once the pillow arrived 10 days later, I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, the size recommendation was too big and gave me discomfort on my neck. I tried calling customer service for a return or at least a size replacement and was told to contact the store. The store manager was very uninterested in my complaints and repeatedly stated that they do not have a return policy (whatsoever). I assume this is due to multiple complaints from unsatisfied customers. I personally will never shop at this store again and caution others who value quality service. Horrible way to treat your loyal customers and lack of innovation for providing resolution toward valid complaints.

Do not buy from this company. What a trash company. Almost all the furniture in my house is from Ashley. I recently put a claim in for an accidental tare in my head board and my foundation broke in 3 spots and they are not going to warranty it. They tell us to call one person then that person tells you to call someone else. The in store customer service is garbage as well, no helpful at all. Hopefully no one has to warranty their stuff because they won't be able to like me. I wish I would have known this before I bought so much furniture from one place.

I got the wrong piece of furniture delivered to me and it’s been a NIGHTMARE to try and get the right one. The representatives for Ashley say they are going to do one thing then do another. In store is no help and just expect me to be able to come in whenever is convenient for them to sign more papers to get the right item. Now they are taking the table without giving me a new one. Update: the store manager called and is standing by what was originally said, they are picking up the furniture and giving me a refund. The prompt attention and dedication to my issue speaks volumes. I have purchased from Ashley before and this was the only time I had an issue and since they are resolving my issue I will continue to be a customer. not buy from this store! I went in to buy furniture to move my mom to assisted living. I explained this was an emotional move and I was unsure if it would even happen due to my mom's hesitation. The sales lady assured me she understood since she went through the same thing with her dad. I went in numerous times since I was having a hard time with all of this and she assured me if it didn't work out I had 30 days to return the furniture. On my 4th visit I decided to buy since I was assured I had 30 days to return. Well sure enough after I had all the furniture in the apartment and I showed my mom she refused to move. Well I called Ashley and I am told the sales lady must have misunderstood they have a no return policy except in the case of defects or damage upon arrival. Now I'm stuck with all this furniture! All because of deceptive sales tactics.

Frank helped my friend with a recliner. She picked one out. He did a good job helping us. They really have beautiful furniture. The only problem we have is today is the 27th of December. The chair won’t be delivered until January 29th! That’s really unacceptable.

Honestly this man just looked at us and right away judge us😡 Very disappointing!!!

I first used Ashley’s in 2011 and liked them I used them for all my furniture needs from 2021 to current. This last experience at the Bakersfield location has been the worst! I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant and they have been causing me so much unnecessary stress. I placed an order back in September and my order was set to deliver on Nov 6. I hadn’t heard anything from anyone so I called to confirm myself and was told by a lady that it is set for Nov 14. I explain to her I took the day off work on the 6th and I can’t just get that time and wages back. She gave me $100 credit. The 13th came and someone called me the night before to say it’s delayed again… I said this is not ok I’ve taken off work again and I’m pregnant losing wages. I can’t keep taking off work and losing money due to your unorganized schedule. I work in the dental field and can’t just make up work and I don’t have much time to work due to the progression in my pregnancy. This bed set was supposed to be here before my baby shower. I went to the store spoke to the store manager Cruz and we selected another bed that was available and made sure it was going to be delivered on 11/20. Again took off only to get a call the night before at 6:04pm to say we need to RESCHEDULE! I couldn’t believe it I confirmed the delivery via text and email and everything was in stock but now it’s not going to be on the truck? I said no this is unacceptable and went to the store and spoke to Cruz and he said he’d handle it and never called me back… got an email and call saying it was rescheduled for the 29th… I told him it’s thanksgiving and we will not be in town… still he never called me back… got a call on 11/26… from frank the sales guy that apparently helped me with this purchase and he was RUDE! They showed up to my door on the 29th when I didn’t even confirm delivery…

They won't fix your couch. Do not buy from them now we are stuck with not good charger ports on my couch. Ashley should refund me my $325 I payed for 5 year insurance on the couches. It's all a scam they just want your money. And I will report this to the BBB.

Cheap poorly made furniture. Poor support from the company. We have had two issues with the bed frame we purchased, both times it has been very difficult to get support. As you can see from the image, the poor quality "wood" snapped from the rail. This happened a few days within the 1 year warranty. Awful products and awful company. Sent the email, no response. Also it's been two weeks and I haven't gotten a ship to date for the replacement part.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent couch purchase. We were assured by the salesperson that we were buying a high-quality leather couch, but what we received was far from it. After just a short time, the material started peeling and flaking off in patches, revealing that this is not genuine leather but likely bonded or faux leather. The salesperson was misleading, and when we reached out to address the issue, the company did not stand behind their product at all. This experience has taught me a valuable lesson about where to shop for furniture. I’ll be making my next purchase at Costco, where they actually stand behind what they sell. Save yourself the frustration and avoid buying furniture here if you’re looking for genuine quality and honesty.

Cel was great to work with. We had taken a trip to the store but didn’t find what we wanted. This morning I called him and he helped me find something over the phone and then we did everything over the phone and was able to pay quickly with a link. Easiest furniture purchase I’ve ever made.

Came in today to get a bunch of furniture for my new apartment. Frank helped me pick things out and gave me some good recommendations on what to buy. I purchased a bedside table to match the bedroom set I had previously purchased. They said it was the last one. They set up delivery and didn't tell me I had to be there. I couldn't come home when they tried to deliver it so they left. I called to reschedule when I could be there. They never showed up. When I called to find out why, they had to check. It took a few days for them to call me back and tell me that they sold it to someone else and could they interest me in a similar table, no apology. I was so disappointed. I wanted the table to match and I couldn't understand why they sold a table I had already purchased. I asked for a refund, after a month still no refund. I had to call again to ask why and 3 days later I finally got a refund. Had been a very negative experience. I will never shop there again.

Puchased a $600 dollar recliner and I must say it's the worst recliner I've ever purchased it fell apart in less than a year thank God it was still under warranty! The problem is I didn't get a chance to sit in the chair and try it out before I purchased it, I was shown a photo of the recliner it was then delivered to my house (plan on waiting at least 2 weeks). How can you tell if a recliner is going to be comfortable and work for you if you can't sit in it??? You have to wait a couple weeks in order to get your order it comes from their warehouse to your home, you cannot purchase anything in their store. This recliner has no padding whatsoever, very,very thin. Ashley has really gone downhill as far as quality of furniture. My advice shop around, I made the mistake by not shopping around but it won't happen again. I really thought I would get a quality recliner that's not the case. One other thing when you walk through the doors the sales people are just waiting for you, I do not like being pressured so expect that when you go through the doors.
