As of now, I give a 1...AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN RECEIVED OUR PURCHASE YET. But can we talk about how they dont take your old furniture out anymore..... Delivery has been a mess. Seems like for the Bakersfield store, it is the blind leading the blind. Oh good luck calling and trying to get through to someone in the local store, let alone IN AMERICA! Only 2 of our 3 items purchased arrived at the warehouse. I was given 2 options, 1- accept partial delivery, 1 week before Christmas or 2- reschedule the whole order. I asked if I could call right back while I conferred with my spouse and was told yes, that any customer service agent would be able to help me. I called back in 30 minutes, to be told it was too late, my order was on the truck (REMEMBER this is someone overseas, that can barely speak English telling me this). I attempted to call customer service 3 times, just to be told the exact same thing, it was like they had a generic script in front of them. They claimed they didnt have the ability to transfer me to an agent in the States, nor was there a manager available. Of course not, they're sitting in their mud hut in a 3rd world country getting paid pennies on the dollar to handle an American store's business. (I will be contacting my congressmen and women to address that situation). Finally, I drove to their store. Mind you, I live about an hour away! Spoke to the manager on site. Was assured my deliver for this morning 12/19/25 was canceled and I would be hearing from him directly to reschedule. Never heard anything about rescheduling even still. Oh....but the delivery showed up at my house this morning at quarter to 8 a.m. We were not available to accept the partial delivery. They sent the team of 2, an hour up into the mountains on a delivery that was CANCELED!. Talk about a waste of resources and poor communication. My next call, if my furniture isn't delivered in its entirety, by the 27th of December, as that's the date the young lady gave me, will be to the BBB and consumer affairs. Im a big Yelp reviewer as well as social media contributor, so reviews there are pretty much a definite. Word of mouth is already in the works with our dissatisfaction with our recent purchase experience. We are repeat Ashley customers, however, after this incident, I highly doubt we will be back. Today, I intend on contacting their Corporate Office in Wisconsin and speaking to them about how this Bakersfield store is run. - Regretful Buyer

We recently bought a sectional at Ashley’s and all the staff are amazing! We worked Mychal. We later on wanted to add more furniture to our living room and Mychal was very responsive to my questions, texts, and helping us out in the store. We are so excited to see the finished look of our living room and couldn’t have done it without him! Thank youuu!!!
