Be prepared for billing nightmares! I purchased several pieces of furniture online, upon which my credit card was authorized for the full amount. Over the subsequent EIGHT WEEKS, my card was authorized, charged, and then refunded for every individual piece of item that shipped. This caused me to have to look at my bank account every time I got an email that said “YOUR CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN CHARGED “ to ensure I wasn’t being double charged for anything, which was impossible with so many transactions coming through. ONE EXAMPLE REGARDING TWO PIECES OF FURNITURE THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED TOGETHER, MY CARD WAS AUTHORIZED AND CHARGED FOR THE $1100 TOTAL AMOUNT FOR THE TWO PIECES, THEN FIVE DAYS LATER IT WAS REFUNDED, THEN TWO INDIVIDUAL TRANSACTIONS CAME THROUGH FOR 550 EACH, THREE DAYS WENT BY ONE OF THEM FELL OFF, THE OTHER ONE STUCK, AND I’M STILL WAITING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE THE DISCONNECT WAS… IT’S 2025…. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER SYSTEM FOR THIS!!! I don’t understand why Ashley wouldn’t just charge the entire amount for the order when it was placed, and then be done with it.

My experience at this particular location was rushed. There were only like two sales men in the place which one of them got my order incorrect and what’s my order was delivered as soon as the truck drove off, we figured out that one of the pieces was not right, and they would not fix the order because once the truck drives off, you’re stuck with whatever they dropped off. I don’t think that’s fair since It was not a day later. It was minutes later. But I will give them five stars. For the couches are wonderful. I just wish I had a gotten exactly the pieces I wanted for this couch.

My delivery did not arrive on time. I was told my delivery would arrive today Nov. 29th. I called the store and was told my delivery would arrive on Dec. 9th. I am not happy.

Main delivery driver gets offensive. Then, gets arrogantly rude with customers. Asking them oh, so you know how to do this, get out of my way. I did all I can within me to keep myself from throwing him out. And fighting with him.

The customer service was awesome the store was crowded because of Black Friday but the manager immediately stepped up and assisted me and she gave me an awesome deal .I love the Colma Ashley store.I bought a sofa and (3) tables very beautiful and a great price ✅

I visited the store today looking for a very firm mattress. When I mentioned I needed something firmer, the salesperson told me “This is already our firmest. If you want it harder, go buy a board from Home Depot.” She also started questioning why I preferred a firm mattress and implied my choice was bad for my body — without asking my situation or needs. The tone felt dismissive and unprofessional. It completely ruined my shopping experience and made me uncomfortable as a customer. I hope management can look into this.

We had a positive experience at the Colma Store even though we did not find exactly what we were looking for. We were there to try out the Dream Cloud Hybrid Premier mattress but was told there wasn‘t one in the store. That was disappointing because I had gone to the Ashley Website where the Dream Cloud mattress was advertized. The Sales woman by the name of Evelina showed us a comparable mattress, a Neckar, which we tried and liked. So we decided to buy one. This is where the second disappointment occurred. When I tried to redeem my $50 discount advertized for new customers, it was denied because I was buying a mattress. That made no Sense to me. The third disappointment was in the final step of the sale, when we were told we had to wrap the mattress before it would be removed from our place but it would cost only $2 from Home Depot where we went immediately to find that the cheapest one cost $12. while the saleswoman was excellent, my experience as a new customer was diminished by the store‘s policies.

Ordered 4 items worth >$2,000 from Ashley Store by going down to the Colma outlet and placing a delivery order which was committed to be 14 October. Salesperson was Vivian, and her manager was Bryan. Took the day off, booked the loading dock/elevator which required booking fees and waited the entire day for the delivery but it did not arrive. When we tried to call the store the entire day, we were repeatedly told that Vivian was busy, and could not respond to us, or could not provide a status update of our delivery while we were waiting at home. When Bryan (the manager) spoke to us, he did not offer ANY remediation, stating that they “do not do such stuff”, and we should wait for 25th October for our order. The best he offered was for us to cancel the order - there was no regard for the inconvenience caused and our horrid customer experience. Highly discourage purchasing from this store!

OMG William Southall in Colma at The Ashley Store Was The Most Helpful Person I’ve Encountered!!

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I can't believe anyone would actually consider buying a couch from this location. Ashley Home Store operates under a licensing model where they have a handful of corporate stores and then a bunch of independently owned stores. This is an independently owned location. You can probably see where I'm going with this eh? For the entire 2 hours that I was there, the salesperson was basically trying to scam me into buying a couch for almost twice the price that it was online, and blatantly giving me false information. Just to name a couple of these egregious lies: - I was quoted over $200 over the online price - they wanted to charge $50 for otherwise free shipping - I was denied a return (even though the actual ashley allows this) - they claimed to be the 'real' Ashley even though they are an independently licensed location. This was outright highway robbery. Thank god I didn't actually buy the couch.

For a busy Labor Day weekend, great service. Got a great deal on the couches I wanted.

Update to review below. I bought the SimpleJoy loveseat. The first three months I was happy great price and quality I thought. Boy what a waste of money. After that I started having issues the cushions started to have silver speckles coming out every time you sat down. These silver speckles were everywhere. You have to vacuum every day so you can sit down. If these silver speckles comes in contact with your skin you start to itch. Big problem ! Hopefully it doesn’t cause any health issues. I now have to buy a loveseat cover to help resolve the problem. Second issue the cushions have to be pushed in every day or they will fall off. This piece of furniture is made in Taiwan, very poor quality. I don't expect this furniture to last long. Next time I will spend more money and go to higher end retailer who sales quality furniture. This piece of furniture had great reviews but I think they are fake. Think twice before buying from Ashley Furniture. They have a lot of negative reviews on Better Business Bureau. Old Review When I walked in I was greeted by Vivian. I told her what I was looking for and she showed me the two loveseats that I saw on line. Vivian was very friendly and knowledgeable. She did not pressure you into anything which was nice. I ended up buying a loveseat from Vivian. The transaction was very easy. I’m hoping the deliver is a smooth transaction also. If you need furniture go to Ashely Furniture Store in Colma. Please ask for Vivian, she gives A+ customer service with a smile. Update: My furniture was delivered today as promised. It went very smooth the guys were able to get it in my apartment. No damage to furniture. Kudos to the delivery guys they were efficient and friendly. UPDATE!!!! Worst Customer Service Ever! Bad practices, lack of communication with poor accountability. I designed my media room centered around the size, color and style of the loveseat. The other items I purchased all went very well together. I made this purchase in August 2025. The Maimz Loveseat with matching Ottoman, 4 Barstools, a Dropleaf Round Breakfast Table with matching 4 Chairs and assorted furniture including a bed, frame and swivel leather chair. Delivered February 21st 2026 ▪︎ They didn't let me know the loveseat would NOT be delivered. They canceled the order. ▪︎ No one knew what happened. It took over a week of me calling them. ▪︎ Finally someone at Corprate said they issued a refund in January, but failed to let me know through a call, text or email. There wasn't any paperwork confirming a refund transaction until March 3rd. ▪︎ Finally received an Email after over 8 phone calls to customer service, the store and the Philippines that the couch was discontinued. So I have an ottoman with no matching couch! ▪︎ Where did the refund money go? ▪︎ No paperwork, transaction number or notification. When asked where they sent it, they didn't know which bank account? ▪︎ Unacceptable follow up with nothing good in email, no detailed information at all. ▪︎ The worst customer service I have ever received . ▪︎ Sold me an an ottoman with no matching couch. That they finnaly issued a pickup for return, but never mentioned my refund! ▪︎ Poor excuse that it was discontinued, I had first dibs on the display couch. This was mine! Where did it go? ▪︎ I'm returning everything I purchased for this room from Ashley. But they are refusing to take back the barstools and Breakfast set. They left me high and dry like an empty airplane with passengers left in the terminal. ▪︎ The customer service is completely unacceptable. If i get one more AI Chat bot from Jenny, I'm going to scream. ---- ▪︎ Review I wrote when purchased: Miss Vivian is the BEST at this Colma location. She got me deals upon deals. Before making our final decision on our livingroom purchase we went to Ashley's twice. The two sales associates who helped us were Rose Baviera & William Southall. Both were very professional, knowledgeable & patient with us & all of our questions. We are senior citizens and still like to see, in person, what we are purchasing. William was a very friendly and knowledgeable sales associate and he took great care of us from the moment we walked in. While we were only looking for a dresser initially, we ended up getting a pair of matching night stands, which also match the dresser. Now we want the matching chest. We took full advantage of the summer promotional prices and will be back again soon thanks to William’s exceptional customer service. This particular store is great - it’s large, has ample variety of different pieces, and the staff is very friendly - especially to my dog! Hands down one of the best furniture stores in the Bay and furniture shopping experiences to date. Highly recommended!

I purchased a bed, nightstand, vanity, and a sofa from this store shortly after it opened in Daly City, California, on December 6, 2019 (Sale# 190002760; 190002720), and I also paid extra for an extended warranty. However, when the furniture was delivered to my home, it arrived severely damaged. I sent multiple text messages and made several phone calls, but no one ever responded. I even went to the store in person to request repairs, but no one came to fix anything. The quality of the furniture was extremely poor—very roughly made, with wood panels that were thin and flimsy. The drawers couldn’t even be opened because they were sealed shut with nails and glue. This was a terrible furniture buying experience. I felt deceived and taken advantage of. I would not recommend this store to anyone.

Sylvia was very helpful on helping us get a bed frame we were picky on what we wanted and she showed us the frames that we wanted and showed us mattress if we wanted she also showed us the prices and she gave us a good price at the end. Ask for Sylvia very helpful

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Getting them to deliver a dresser to my apartment was a nightmare with their delivery team assigning me dates and times nobody would be home and I called 3 times to make sure the time got changed, was assured everything was fixed and then had 3 missed calls after an appointment I couldn’t miss that they were at my house ready to deliver. Well sure enough they left & I rescheduled the delivery for another date. It gets there and when I open the box the whole inside of the dresser is broken and the drawers can’t even close. Then they have me submit pictures and a claim. You want to talk to someone about the next steps? Too bad, you have wait 72 business hours for an email back. Get the email and they tell me they’re sending out a repair team to fix the dresser (the one that’s not repairable hence the pictures I sent in). Well guess what? Assigned me another time I’m not available. Call back to reschedule the repair team coming and ask about them just sending a replacement since it’s not repairable. Nope, need the repair team to come. Well here we go again. Repair team comes and is in my apartment for about 2 minutes time telling me it can’t be repaired & I need a replacement “ooo the delivery team definitely dropped it” says the repair team. Awesome, did they send you with the replacement? NOPE. Okay well are you at least going to take the broken one so I don’t have this huge broken dresser taking up space for god knows how long? Nope. Now have to wait another 72 business hours for an email after the repair man takes his own photos. Well here we are 5 days later and just got another email saying the exchange is approved, & they assigned me another delivery time nobody is home. I call to change it and they tell me I have to wait 24 hours before they can edit the delivery time. This company’s an absolute joke. Not to mention I asked if they planned on giving me a partial refund for any of this since I’ve wasted a stupid amount of hours on the phone with them and waiting around my house for deliveries/ repair team etc. “The best we can do is give you a promo code for $25 off your next order, would you like the code?” HAH! Tell me you’re kidding? IF this dresser EVER arrives in one piece I wouldn’t order another product from this company if they paid me to do it. Literally. An absolute joke, stand clear of this company, at least for online orders. Unless you plan on going into the store and making sure you bring your furniture home with you on the spot, then don’t even bother wasting your time, energy or money on this place. This has now been going on for over a month. And for reference I’m not even a Karen LOL this is the only bad review I’ve ever even cared about writing that’s how much I hope others avoid this mistake.

Absolutely the best investment I’ve made all year, now my living space is complete not only is it the single most comfortable couch I've had the pleasure of knowing it fits perfectly in the space I had available, Ashley even sent a technician to fix a single smudge it got on delivery, there’s no better furniture store that cares more than Ashley furniture, the technician Tim even told me worst case scenario if there’s a tear or seem pops all you have to do is order the specific part and they will install it within warranty. When calling to ask why I am told we don’t have control over our warehouse. So I just sit around all day waiting for something that never was even going to be delivered!! Avoid this place like a plague....they offer an excellent Customer (we don't) Care program. They promise, sign contract...only to tell you that we don't have what we promised. And their way to make amends equals to "Go away and don't bother us" approach.

This is a formal complaint regarding your store’s deceptive and unfair financing practices. I purchased all the furniture for my home from your store, including the living room, bedroom, and dining room sets. At the time of purchase, it was clearly stated that I could pay in installments, and I accepted these terms and have been making my payments regularly. However, after about one year, when only a small balance remained, I noticed that a large amount of interest was applied to my account. Since then, I have been charged significant interest every month. Throughout the sales process, neither I nor my husband were informed about these interest conditions. Although we spent hours in the store speaking with the sales representative and the store manager, and were asked to sign various documents, these important details were not disclosed to us. I will take the necessary legal action regarding this matter!!

Great selection of furniture. There are a lot of styles to choose from, no pressure from the staff. They have knowledgeable staff. Rose, one of their staff, was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Bridget known as Brie was very patient with us as she measured at least 12 chest drawers and we found the best one to fit our needs. No pressure to buy but we found what we needed. Kudos to her!

Syia was was so helpful and even with all the hiccups we met due to technical difficulties he was still very patient and persistent to solve the problem. The manager that runs the store is truly a champ who also stepped in to help us resolve the technical issue. I have bought a couch before and this was a second purchase and it’s been amazing so far. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Disappointed with the customer service at this store. The staff seemed more focused on hitting sales goals than actually helping. I asked a few questions and was met with rushed, uninterested responses. It felt like they cared more about bonuses than customer satisfaction. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Not price transparent. Showroom price does not include shipping and assembly costs. Very dishonest marketing. Even if you were to hypothetically want to assembly them yourself the fee is still included.

Walked in READY TO drop $10k on some lm furniture Walked around 10-15 without even a hello. I didn't mind at first as usually salesperson will follow and annoy. But not even a hello. Then as we were leaving i make eye contact with 2 woman they stopped and stared like I was a hyena in the wild ready to attack, they like deers caught in the headlights I waved kindly said hello I have a couple of questions they turned their heads and proceeded to ignore me. I couldn't believe it. So u know your competitors got the sale just for that reason. Mind u it was me and 1 other couple in the store. That's it. Went to the store for the first time, mainly looking for some sofa that will fit the new place. I found what I want, but I told the sales person I will come back. However, she was not happy about it after I told her I will be back, had some bad attitude. Went in for the second time and purchased what I wanted. Paid and set up delivery. My delivery time window was between 12pm and 4pm. The delivery team got here after 6pm. First time going to Ashley, not the best experience.

Not at all happy with the deceptive sales practices. We dropped in to look at one particular mattress to see if it was something we were interested in purchasing. It was the Nectar Mattress, we were told that Ashley Furniture owned the Nectar brand so she would be able to look at what we were about to order online. It turns out Ashley and Nectar are two different companies.

The people at the store have a great energy about them. Got a great deal on the couch. Selection was great. The only downside is having to wait for the couch to be delivered!

warmly welcome when we entered...we said why we were there, and what we were looking for, was given directions and some information and then were let to roam the store without sales pressure....the sales person checked with us at various times and then left to let us look around for more options, and answered questions. When we found what we wanted, we motioned to him and then continued to work the sale....it was a very satisfying and no pressure experience...very pleased.

Rose was super helpful and accommodating while my husband and I were figuring out what couch to get for our apartment. Very helpful while not pressuring us at all which we really appreciated. Will definitely come back when it’s time for new furniture again!

That poor woman! Shame on him! I wouldn't tolerate that kind of behavior. Bad business and a bad look!

I recently purchased the Altari sofa from Ashley Furniture, and I'm thrilled with the product! The sofa is firm but incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect addition to our living room. What truly made our shopping experience stand out, was the exceptional service provided by Manager Isaiah and Store Advisor Evelyn. They went above and beyond to ensure we found the perfect sofa within our budget. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is genuinely appreciated, and we can't thank them enough! Unfortunately, our experience with the delivery service was a different story. Despite our request to have the items dropped off in the living room, the delivery team chose to enter through our bedroom patio door and left the items in the bedroom. To make matters worse, they failed to handle the items with care, dragging them across our asphalt driveway during offloading. While we're extremely satisfied with our purchase and the service provided by Isaiah and Evelyn, we would not recommend Ashley Furniture's delivery service to others due to their subpar handling and communication. I had a really frustrating experience at Ashley’s Furniture in Colma. From the start, I felt like the staff was more interested in making a sale than actually helping me find what I needed. The whole process felt rushed, and I wasn’t given much time to think things through. One of the biggest issues was the financing. I was told I was just applying for a pre-approval, but later realized they had gone ahead and opened the account anyway. That was not what I agreed to. I was also looking at a clearance item, but they said they couldn’t deliver it themselves. Instead, I’d have to use their third-party vendor, or my own, but when I asked how much that would cost, they had no idea. So basically, I was expected to arrange delivery without knowing the price. To make up for it, they offered to remove the delivery charge from my other items, which was about $560. While that helped a little, it still felt like an unnecessary hassle. Another thing that made the whole experience uncomfortable was the dynamic between the staff. I noticed the manager seemed frustrated with the employee who was helping me, which made the situation feel awkward. It was clear there was tension, and it didn’t exactly inspire confidence in the service. On top of all that, we spent about 2 to 3 hours there, going back and forth on pricing and details. My pregnant wife was completely exhausted, and when we finally tried to leave, the staff kept pushing to make the sale. It felt like they were doing everything they could to keep us there, which just made the whole situation even more frustrating. Another issue was their promotions. I was originally told I could get both 20% off and 60 months of 0% interest. But when we got to the final pricing, they changed the terms and said I had to choose one or the other. That kind of bait-and-switch is exactly why I wouldn’t recommend shopping here. This led me to check out Living Spaces, especially since Ashley’s staff claimed their prices were higher. That turned out to be completely false—I actually found better deals at Living Spaces, and their service was much more straightforward. Since the time we left until yesterday, they have repeatedly reached out to me via phone calls and text messages trying to make the sale. At this point, it just feels excessive and pushy. If you’re looking for furniture, definitely explore other options first!

Rose was fantastic. I have been shopping for a recliner at different stores. I have been to Living Spaces, Lazy Boy and Macys. None of their salespeople have compared to Rose. Rose was knowledgeable and asked me what I wanted in a recliner. She showed me several chairs and explained the features. She then suggested a recliner that was on sale in my price range. That recliner was everything I wanted and more! I will definitely recommend Rose and Ashley Furniture to my family and friends.

Possibly the worst furniture experience ever. The sales lady was chewing gum obnoxiously loud the entire time. It was unbearable. To make it worse the paperwork was never ending. It literally took 30 minutes and 3 people processing it to get done. The most inefficient system I've ever seen with idiotic sales staff. I'd never go here again..

He was very friendly and answered all the questions I had! He even made sure I qualified for the presidents day discount. It was my first time buying something from Ashley and I really enjoyed my experience!

The varnish smell is extremely strong and we replaced all the furniture in the bedroom - the smell made it impossible to sleep in there. The delivery took two weeks and it was delivered 7pm at night. four hours past the last estimated time that they might arrive If someone had not been able to stay and wait for it - We would still not have furniture. Movers were great. Furniture looks good, I just hope the difficulty in getting it is worth the cost. I would have made different choices knowing what I know now.

Weird experience. 2 Stars are for John. I met John as I was searching for a vase for my home. He seemed to be a newbie or something because he seemed a little uncertain of everything but trying to be helpful. Anyway, I did a web search on where to find vases and this store popped up. I guess they don't have a system on how to find things bc when I asked to see vases they told me to look around. The vase I found online was about $10 cheaper and I showed this to John who checked the barcode # to see if it was the correct item. The items matched and I was told they can price match items on the Ashley website. He took a photo of the items as well. He went to make sure with his boss, some African American dude. He looked annoyed when I came as he looked up from his phone as he was watching some kind of video. Manager man was adamant about the item not matching because they didn't look the same even though the SKU # matched (John took a top view of the vase). This didn't make sense because if I ordered it online that would be the damned item that I would get. There's no other freakin way to confirm an item. So I expected John to say something but we all stared at each other awkwardly bc this man was really trying to play me. I had to have him look at it physically. He then tried to make me feel bad about needing a price match bc it was only "$5 difference". FYI What a stupid way of treating money. This guy is obviously bad at money and/or super pretentious or something. Anyway John took me away and I still purchased the item even though boss guy was being dumb. I spent a lot of time searching for the item and there was no way I was leaving without it at that point. Experience was pretty Awkward

Was looking online for recliner couch and love seat. The Ashley Party Time Power Reclining set caught my eye. I couldn’t believe Redwood Furniture in San Jose had the Ashley set for 2,239 and the actual Ashley store was selling the same identical set 3,199. My wife was also looking for a new bedroom set for our daughter and tells me there’s an Ashley store in Colma now. We go to the store and I ask the manager do you price match, because I see this Ashley set for cheaper. First thing out his mouth was why didn’t you order it from them, I replied because it’s an Ashley set so I came hear first. Then tells me we only price match Amazon, I stopped talking and stopped my wife from looking at bedroom sets. Left the store and ordered set from Redwood Furniture. Five days later I’m enjoying my new couch. I do not recommend doing business with Ashley in Colma.

My Black Friday purchase of a sofa and loveseat started with a great experience. The salesperson was excellent, making the initial process smooth and enjoyable. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ended, and the nightmare began. About two weeks later, the delivery took place, and to my disappointment, the sofa arrived damaged — the corner was torn off. It didn’t appear to be a factory defect but rather damage caused by carelessness during warehousing or transportation or delivery. The delivery team, who worked for a third-party company, told us they only handle deliveries and couldn’t take the damaged sofa back. They took pictures, reported the issue to the store, and said we’d be contacted for a replacement. Frustrated, we called customer service and demanded a solution. Instead of offering a proper replacement, they suggested sending a technician to repair the sofa. But we didn’t pay for a refurbished product — we bought it for its style, plain and simple, to harmonize with our living room! The thought of having guests see a "repaired" sofa in our home is unimaginable. The embarrassment of such a situation at this stage in life is something we shouldn’t have to endure. Seeking a resolution, we went back to the store to speak with the manager, Thomas. To our surprise, he claimed he couldn’t help us since a case had already been opened, and he didn’t want to “go behind anyone’s back.” Now we’re stuck with a broken sofa in our home, uncertain how long this will drag on. It feels like we paid for a quality product but ended up with a defective one, and there’s no easy way out. This entire experience highlights the reckless handling by the warehouse and delivery service, coupled with a customer service team that fails to take initiative to resolve the problem. Lesson learned: think twice before purchasing a sofa or any furniture from them. Their poor post-purchase support may leave you with more frustration than style.

Dealt with a woman by the name of Evelyn. I purchased an item which was a final sale off the showroom floor. Store policy was 48 hours for pick up. Evelyn decided to blow my phone up the next afternoon telling me she wanted me to be there by 8:00 that night (a whole day early). Extremely persistent, pushy, and almost wouldn’t take no for an answer. She wants it her way or no way. I met her request and rushed up there unprepared to pick my extremely heavy items up undermanned at night time. This led to my furniture getting damaged and now me having to live with it. When I came to pick the rest of my items up the next day because I couldn’t fit it all in one haul…. The manager asked for her to come speak to me. She rudely replied with “for what?” We went back and forth getting no where. She took no responsibility for contributing to the damage of my item. She pressured me to get there before I was completely ready. I’m beyond unsatisfied with her service.

Came to Ashley Furniture with the intention of buying a couch and Carlos helped us by walking through the a variety of couches based on our preferences. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes with paperwork and delivery date of our new couch! Carlos was very nice, good etiquette and so welcoming that we’ll be back for our next furniture! My experience at the Colma Ashley is unforgettable. I went there already knowing what I had in mind to purchase. The sales lady greeted me with a smile. We spoke to each other like we’ve meet before. She was very pleasant, and easy to speak with. I picked out what I wanted, and the manager strolled by. The sales lady introduced us, once that happened we all conversed about outside of work life, laughed, and agreed on some things. The manager gave me an extra discount for my purchase. At the end of the sale transaction. The conversation shifted about spiritual warfare, and Christianity. Not all people want to talk about Christ. We all, are believers, and believe in the powerful works, and wonders of prayer. The manager read a few scriptures, we came to an agreement. He said a prayer for my family, and I for healing, and for God’s continual connection, and protection. I lift the building feeling blessed, and grateful. I’m glad I went to the store to buy what I wanted instead of purchasing online.

I was very disappointed when I received a phone call from Ashley saying my sofa will not be delivered on time it has been delayed. It will be delivered in another to weeks so I’ve been waiting for a total four weeks which is a whole month. I’m home without a sofa in my living room I’ve been sitting in my recliner and computer chair while I wait.

We have been previous customers Ashley furniture. But this experience has been the worst furniture buying experience we’ve ever had. It started off at the store with our sales person. She gave false information on multiple occasions. First off she charged us for premium delivery and set up of our furniture but later we found out, the Three of the pieces we ordered were not available for set up and had to be built by us. One of the main reasons we had gone to Ashley instead of somewhere like IKEA was because we didn’t want to build our own furniture. This was not figured out until it was time for the actual delivery. Another false statement she made to the charging of the furniture. We wanted partial payment by my mother and a certain amount of the pieces to go on our Ashley credit card. Instead, she charged more to our Ashley credit card, which was not what we had wanted . Once the Furniture was delivered, and we had to put the bedroom pieces together, we moved on and within two weeks one of the drawers on the six piece dresser broke (this was mid-july). As it was covered under warranty, we called the number and started the process for possible repair replacement. By July 20th, we were called and told that the drawer would be replaced and shipped to our home address. On August 5th, I placed a phone call to customer service when the drawer never arrived. This started a three month process of trying to get the drawer replaced. We were told many stories each time we called. It always started with checking in with the warehouse which nobody could ever reach someone there to give us an answer. We were told that the draw would be coming and wouldn’t arrive till October bc it was coming from China. Between July and October, we probably placed over five phone calls which took about an hour each time. On October 15, we called in to check the status of the drawer since it never arrived. We were then told that the order was canceled and that it wasn’t coming from China. After getting extremely frustrated, we were transferred to a customer service supervisor who let us know that they are a third-party customer service line and that we needed to speak to the customer service person in the store. No one on our previous six phone calls had ever told us that. We finally got in touch with the customer service rep at the store (Leti). We explained our story and frustration and she said that she would help us resolve it. She told us at the dresser could be ordered and set up for delivery but wouldn’t set up for premium delivery meaning. This meant we would have to put the second dresser together as well. When we got notification of the delivery by email, I noticed that the email said it was for the wrong piece of furniture so I had to call back again and let them know about the mistake. . During that week of communication, we did get a shipment of draw to our address , and it was not from China, but Illinois. When we open the box, the pieces of the drawer were there but none of the hardware so as of the end of October we have a drawer with no hardware and a dresser that they’re trying to deliver but won’t put together. As of November 6, and 4 mire phone calls, we still have no resolution. This is one of the worst shopping experiences we’ve ever had along with the customer service we’ve received. People say they want to help you, but then don’t provide any real resolution and when they do, it’s with false statements. We will never shop there ever again. if I could give zero stars I would.

Sold me a dining table which was not in stock , took days off from work to find out the shipment was not delivering the same day while waited at hime. my sales never returned my calls and had to contact their corporate to ask for a refund two months later.

While my in-store experience was generally satisfactory despite some initial confusion with scheduling, the service has significantly deteriorated since then. Firstly, I encountered rude delivery drivers, which I promptly reported. While I appreciate that this issue was addressed, it unfortunately led to further complications. My coffee table, originally scheduled for delivery on Saturday, October 27th, was inexplicably pushed to Tuesday, October 29th—a day when I am not available. When the delivery coordinator person called, I clearly requested a Saturday delivery. Despite informing both the Ashley store and a customer care representative to cancel the Tuesday delivery and reschedule for the following Saturday, I continued to receive messages confirming the unwanted Tuesday delivery. It is exceedingly frustrating to have to repeat myself multiple times without any corrective action taken. Now, I am told there are no available delivery dates for Saturday, November 2nd, and I must wait an additional 14 days until November 9th. This delay is unacceptable and appears to result from a failure on your part to properly note my delivery preferences. It feels as though I am being deprioritized despite the inconveniences I’ve already faced. I expect this issue to be resolved promptly. Please arrange for the delivery of my coffee table on Saturday, November 2nd, as initially requested. If this matter is not addressed satisfactorily, I will have to consider taking further action, including sharing my experience publicly and reconsidering future purchases with Ashley Furniture. We visited the store to purchase bedroom furniture. Rose was very helpful as we couldn't decide on the color. There was no pressure to buy & we had plenty of time to explore. We left & called back a few days later to purchase a chest of drawers & nightstand. The only negative was a manager that was hollering like he was at the gym. Very unprofessional. We would have left if it wasn't for Rose.

My wife and I went to the Ashley store in Colma. Was greeted when we walked in the front doors by Rose. She asked us what we were looking for and we told her we were looking for a bed and some end tables. She was very helpful and showed us everywhere that we should look. We spent about a couple of hour there and ended up purchasing a bedframe and two end tables. I would just like to say that Rose was very helpful, kind and professional. She explained in detail on how long the delivery would take what to expect and if we had any questions to call her and she would help us out. My wife and I were very pleased with the customer service that Rose provided to us.

Most of these google reviews are not real, check Yelp to see what this stores rating really is (or I will save you the effort it’s like 2 stars). We ordered a bed in August and were assured we would receive it by September 10th (delivery date on receipt) September 9th rolls around and we call to ask about the status only to find out that it’s out of stock and the new date is now October. Meanwhile there has been no communication about a delay. This store is a scam. If you do happen to check Yelp you will find about 5-10 other stories similar to this. This store DOES NOT deliver on time. Their customer service is non-existent, and what’s more it seems like they are actively covering up/ pretending to be responsive on Google? Just know you are 100% taking a gamble on buying from this particular Ashley furniture store.

We placed an order at the store, the sales rep checked and promised our order would be delivered in 3 weeks. 2 month later and after 5 delivery reschedules we decided to cancel the order and order from somewhere else. The worst thing is when we placed our original order, every other brand was running a special event for 4th of July and we lost the opportunity to take advantage of that because of Ashley horrible customer service. If I could give them negative stars, I would. We specifically asked about delivery delays and the assured us we’ll get our items on-time but here we go

Came to Ashley to look for barstools and ended up purchasing a couch, love seat, and mattress with the barstools. Was greeted at the door by Rose who was exceptional! Very friendly and helpful and not pushy at all! Showed me their different pet friendly sofas and found one that I think will fit my needs. This store has a very bad service attitude I just bought a sofa in less than three days and then broke they said they could give me a new replacement results they sent me a repairman to look at the answer is that I can only give me a replacement of a spare part But if you do not want to give me a replacement or a refund why did you say at the time that you can Anyway, to the back they have been postponing each other to give me all kinds of excuses.

8/9/24 Update: all the people that we've been working with are mysteriously "gone" from this Colma store. These are all the people that are involved in this never ending nightmare. How convenient for them right? We just want to return the chairs that we're waiting for and do a charge back to our credit card but now there's nobody there that can do that, so they say. Update 8/8/24 I really want to warn people about this store. I emailed the provided email address as suggested in the reply to my comment from Ashley Furniture. We received no response from them. There is no sincerity in their apology. Now we're being ignored even more. This place is a scam. Here are just a few of the complaints I have: They are horrible. I am trying to save you from the pain and anguish that comes from buying furniture from this place. I wish someone had warned us earlier. The customer service is non-existent. If there is a mistake on your furniture order, and trust me they will sometimes deliver the wrong furniture to your house, it will take them months and months to fix the issue. You can try to escalate it to hire ups but that will get you nowhere because they will ignore your emails and phone calls. Their delivery drivers never come on time or they come earlier or later than expected and then they will make you reschedule to have it be delivered at another date. Sometimes the delivery drivers don't show up at all. That happened to us three times so far. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, my local consumer protection office, CA Attorney General and The Federal Trade Commission. We've waited months and months for a single chair to be delivered. It has yet to show up. They will also claim that they can't find any of your paperwork. Another fun thing that they try to do is put you in the middle between the actual store location employees and the escalation department with both of them saying that they can't do anything to help you or that once you reached escalation you cannot go any further up in management from there to complain about anything or find a resolution to your issue. So this really leaves you stuck with no solution. They'll do this to you for a while just to stall time hoping that you eventually just give up. They keep you on hold forever if you're calling about a problem, they don't return calls and they don't respond to any of your emails. It's almost like they get some kind of sick enjoyment out of just making everything harder for you. Please do not shop here. This has been a never ending nightmare for us. If you have Reddit and search "Ashley Furniture" you'll see a lot of bad reviews/bad experiences with them as well. It's truly been a living nightmare and the store manager Mark is no help at all. (Original review) My parents had the wrong furniture delivered. That was the first issue. Then they gave my parents a "reselection" for different furniture. Now, my parents have been wanting for 2 chairs since the beginning of June. It's now almost the end of July. They say they're going to deliver something and they keep rescheduling. Zero stars was not an option. I only purchased here because of the price and have not received my order but I am sure the quality is fine. It took me over a week to even buy the furniture, as the website has the most inane policy that the shipping and billing address on the card must match (literally no idea why). Furthermore, this store is impossible to reach as I called several times with no answer, corporate called several times with no answer, and I only got to finally speak with the store after someone from customer service tried periodically for about 5 hours. Hands down the most difficult time I have ever had giving a company my money.

The Nightmare That Is Ashley Furniture, Store 81 in Colma, CA My recent experience with Ashley Furniture at Store 81 in Colma, CA, has been nothing short of a living nightmare. From the moment I made my purchase store, I was met with apathy, incompetence, and sheer disregard for basic customer service principles. Before I get into the experience, the ONLY positive component worth mentioning is the specific customer service rep I worked with (David Tuong) and the AMAZING store manager (Mark). Now that the only highlight is over, let's get to the negative. Firstly, Ashley's online customer service displayed an alarming lack of knowledge about their own products. I spent time with multiple online reps who seemed utterly clueless, providing conflicting information about the availability and features of the items I was interested in. This was only the beginning of my ordeal. The delivery service, which happened twice, was an absolute DIASTER. Whomever Ashley outsources (aka the delivery personnel) were rude, unprofessional, and had the audacity to not only refuse to delivery my items because they had to take the steps, but treated me with utter disrespect/ When I tried to contact customer service to resolve the issue, I was met with unending hold times and transferred from one inept representative to another. Each conversation ended with hollow promises of a resolution that never materialized. The sheer incompetence of their customer service team is staggering and left me feeling utterly helpless and infuriated. Moreover, the follow-up service was nonexistent. Despite numerous calls and emails, there was no effort from Ashley Furniture to rectify their mistakes or provide any form of compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused. It became painfully clear that they have no regard for their customers' satisfaction or loyalty. In summary, I experienced appalling customer experience marred by unknowledgeable online staff, horrendous delivery services, and a customer service department that is both useless and indifferent. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere – the Ashley Furniture brand is a disgrace and an absolute insult to paying customers.

OK, being straight forward, I have been working at Ashley's in Los Angeles for 3 1/2 years and needed to purchase a mattress for my Mom. Such a nice store and The Million Dollar Writer David Thuong, could teach Ashley's Corporation to why he is so great. Mazel Tov to you David . The store itself was clean, organized and showroom ready as all Ashley Stores should be. When you visit this location, ask for David Thuong. He's a million dollar writer for a reason. I didn't take any photos so I volunteer for Best Friends Animal Society here in Los Angeles and you have to admit, dogs are more fun than furniture.

I was a customer at the CA Colma Ashley store and purchased a $2453 mattress on 4/14/24. I rarely post reviews but this time, I must do my public service to share about this terrible experience. In my 78 years as a customer, I have never been treated as poorly as I have been in the past few weeks by the Colma Ashley store manager, Mark and sales manager, Bobby. I discovered a dent on the sleeping surface of my new mattress, and contacted the store about a replacement. Under the Sale Order Terms and Conditions, under Returns and Cancellations, it states that "...if your item is damaged or defective and we'll work with you to repair, replace or pick-up the item." For ~ 15-20 hours over weeks I tried to work with the store manager, Mark, to get a replacement. At one point, my family and I interacted with Bobby as well, whose attitude was truly one of the most disrespectful I have ever encountered in my long lifetime. Mark had verbally approved of a replacement, however, weeks later, their customer service team was still awaiting the written validation of this approval after multiple email requests were sent from customer service to the store. We even got on a three-way call between one of the customer service escalation supervisors and Mark, to explain that the only blocker to resolution was the store's written validation of approval for this one-time courtesy exchange. Mark insulted the escalation supervisor while on the call by cutting her off several times before he hung up on us who were in mid sentence. With no other options available to us, we had to email the CEO about this matter, to which there was finally a swift response. If we had not taken this final action, we would not have received delivery of our replacement mattress. After so many hours of aggravation, wasted time being runaround and around, and treated so disrespectfully by Mark and Bobby in particular, I stand by that I have never been treated so poorly as a customer in all of my years.

Really glad with our experience at Ashley’s and specifically with David T. Our family was already walking into Ashley’s overwhelmed and exhausted with couch shopping, but David was easy going, gave us great advice and most importantly was not being pushy and pressuring us to buy. I really appreciate that he gave us space to talk and made it seem like he was looking for out for our best interest and not just the sale. Extremely satisfied with our service and will be returning to look for more furniture pieces moving forward.

I returned to Ashley furniture for the second time around after so many’s years . I was greeted by Rose who works at the Colma location . I went in looking for a mattress, but I end up making a big purchase for my whole house because Mark the store manager was able to give us additional discounts. To top my whole experience I was very pleased with the delivery of the furniture because the workers assembled the furniture straight from the box . definitely, I’ll be returning back for another purchase in the future.

Chantell was Awesome, we had been looking for furniture for our new house for a week and in every place we went people didn’t care to take the time with us to see what we wanted. Chantell help us for almost 2 hours and we got everything we need it from her, she was very patient, attentive, professional and very attentive to our needs. She finally figured out and we were happy with the results, we got all our Living Room, Dining set, bar stools, rugs, etc. She should be employed of the month. The first time we went to the store She was the only person who greeted us and she was so faster to attend us. The other sales persons there didn’t even care to talk to us. Thank you Chantell. If I need more furniture in the future for my house I will definitely look for her again.

NEVER SHOP HERE. It took us over a month and a half to get our couch. They rescheduled our delivery three times in two weeks, which is unbelievably inconvenient because they do not give you a delivery window until the day before so you have to guarantee that you will be available all day for them. They also cancelled the delivery the night before and the morning of so my partner and I had already taken off work for it. This also makes no sense to me because they said it was because a piece was back ordered and that it takes 3 days to process it so we had to wait another 5 days for delivery so they should have known and been able to notify us at least 3 days in advance that the delivery would not be happening. Then when we tried to call the store to get answers I was promised twice that a manager would call me back because they were "busy" and they never called back. Despite the fact that this was our second purchase there in 6 months so we had spent nearly $5000 there. Then when the couch finally did arrive the people who were bringing it into our building tried twice to tell us that it wouldn't fit without even trying, first on the stairs and second at our door way. My partner had to spend 10 minutes each time convincing them to even try. Of course it ultimately did fit after my partner explained to them how to angle it in. This has been by far the worst experience that I have ever had buying furniture.

I went in and one lady didn't seem she wanted to help me. I was looking for bed. And I guess she wanted to sale me a whole set. And never went to an Ashley Furniture again.

We worked with Yollette at this store regarding a potential sofa purchase. We ultimately did not buy it because of a long lead time, but Yollette was super helpful and provided great service in answering all of our questions (there were many) over the course of a store visit and maybe 4-5 phone calls. Minus one star because the store as a whole was not flexible about how they can do orders over the phone, which is why we lost out on the sofa, but I would still work with this store again.

Rose assisted me today and she was fantastic. She greeted me at the entry this morning and helped me view couch’s that were similar to the one I found online that I wanted to purchase. I stuck with the one I found online, and had store gift cards that were given to me in august of 2022 from another store location. Turns out that other store scammed me, as the gift cards stopped being used in 2017. Rose and the manager, Marc, went above and beyond helping me get the best deal and with their hard work we were able to come to an agreement. I value customer service as I’ve worked the industry, and I can definitely say they are the type of people you wish were everywhere. Incredibly thankful for their help, kindness, and teamwork.

Rose was awesome! Had to change my order--from a queen to a full, and that's when things seem to get more complicated. I could not get Bobby to call me back. Mark was my manager that sold me the bed, and I connected with him yesterday. The amount of times that I had to call the store was unreal. 75% of the time, nobody answered? Not sure what was up with that.

Came in 8 pm. Was not swarmed when I came in but not ignored. Didn't feel pressured to buy. Not the cheapest but it's pretty hassle free.

EDIT: It saddens us to have to update this review because our experience with Rose and Bob was so great. We received the table today and it was an absolute disaster. We had paid for the delivery and assembly service. The two men who assembled the table for us did a horrendous job. They used plates and screws from the bench on the table, attached the legs of the table completely crookedly, and left the bench legs partially unscrewed because they were missing plates/screws for the bench (since they had used it on the table). We had to completely disassemble everything, and in that, discovered we were missing half the plates/screws for the table. We called Ashley, and they can’t get us the missing plates/screws or help for over a week. We will have to have an upside down table in our living room for a week as a result. We will never be shopping Ashley again because of how horrible their warehouse/delivery/backend service is, which is a shame because the store reps themselves are great. Original review: We had the best experience at this Ashley store today with Rose and her manager Bob! I highly recommend coming to this location anytime you need new furniture. We had had major issues with getting an order we had placed on the online website. After many hours on the phone with the website, we decided to go into a store and give it a try. Rose and Bob listened to us as we explained the issues. They explained that the website is actually third party, and it is best to order in store. Bob was able to match the online pricing for us, and we are getting the table set delivered in three days! We have made several purchases from Ashley’s in the past. Each time we were assisted by David. In the past , it was from their store at Bayshore at SF but they have since moved to Colma. It was great to see David there and he always provides excellent customer service. Will recommend Ashley and David to family and friends.

Shady business practices. Even though their policy states that you can cancel an order prior to delivery, the store will repeatedly "forgot" to cancel your order. So far I've called three times trying to cancel my order. Each time I call to cancel, they assure me that they've cancelled the order. However, when I don't receive the confirmation email they've promised I call back, at which point they tell me that the order hasn't been canceled. It's also worth noting that each time I call to cancel, they offer to give me a couple hundred dollars back if I don't cancel. They seem quite desperate for sales. 0/10 customer service and quality of furniture.

I ordererd a table and my table will supposed to be arrived today but it didn't fix that ashley.

Be careful before you purchase since there is no refund. They tell anything so good at the store but actually it is a scam. I brought a sofa and had not delivery yet to my home. Base on the policy, I can call in and cancel before the deliver date. I called multiple times and said they said they will refund and turned out it was not. You totally lost our trust on your company as 1st time buying your furniture. NEVER BUY YOUR BRAND AGAIN.

Chantel is awesome! She welcomed me with a warm smile as I walked in the store. It was labor day weekend and I decided to go to the store thinking I would just look around and do some window shopping, but Chantel approached me and provided me information on how to get approved for financing. She walked me through the process which was very prompt and easy. I picked the furniture that I liked and within my budget, and in just few minutes I was able to purchase my couch. Great experience overall!

Chantel was so sweet caring and attentive to me and my family! She made it easy for us to understand the sofa and recliner we are getting and looking for that we were able to get in and out of the store so quickly!

Chantell was kind, patient and a pleasure to work with.

Didn't really need a lot of help because I kind of knew what I was looking for but we had a young gentleman that met us when we first came in and so he just every now and then would ask did we need any help or could answer any questions and so when I did find the couch that I really wanted he was very helpful in the process of purchasing my new couch

Good experience. Showroom had a nice selection of quality but reasonably priced sectionals. I felt it very important to see a unit, feel the cushions, fabric, see the color, etc. rather than buy sight unseen from a catalog/webpage. Salesperson was knowledgeable about their inventory and good at efficiently guiding me to units that would meet my size/color/style preferences, while laying back while I looked closer at best candidates. Ultimately came back with my partner a few days later to make final selection and purchase. Same salesperson gave us a compelling deal and completed the paperwork in a timely manner.

One thing I can importantly say is I felt so welcome. Judith and her manager were the most kindest people ever! They were so patient with me and answered all my questions. I never ever do reviews and this is my first time I can say I would come back again and buy furniture here with them. They are awesome!

Judith did a fantastic job greeting us and then checking in with us throughout our browsing. She was not pushy and gave us the space to explore while also being near by to check in incase we had questions. She was very friendly and helpful. Also the whole staff that helped with the check out process was extremely friendly and helpful.

This place is fantastic but the only thing that annoyed me is this old Asian guy was following me and my husband around felt uncomfortable!
