My experience at the Colma Ashley is unforgettable. I went there already knowing what I had in mind to purchase. The sales lady greeted me with a smile. We spoke to each other like we’ve meet before. She was very pleasant, and easy to speak with. I picked out what I wanted, and the manager strolled by. The sales lady introduced us, once that happened we all conversed about outside of work life, laughed, and agreed on some things. The manager gave me an extra discount for my purchase. At the end of the sale transaction. The conversation shifted about spiritual warfare, and Christianity. Not all people want to talk about Christ. We all, are believers, and believe in the powerful works, and wonders of prayer. The manager read a few scriptures, we came to an agreement. He said a prayer for my family, and I for healing, and for God’s continual connection, and protection. I lift the building feeling blessed, and grateful. I’m glad I went to the store to buy what I wanted instead of purchasing online.

I was very disappointed when I received a phone call from Ashley saying my sofa will not be delivered on time it has been delayed. It will be delivered in another to weeks so I’ve been waiting for a total four weeks which is a whole month. I’m home without a sofa in my living room I’ve been sitting in my recliner and computer chair while I wait.
We have been previous customers Ashley furniture. But this experience has been the worst furniture buying experience we’ve ever had. It started off at the store with our sales person. She gave false information on multiple occasions. First off she charged us for premium delivery and set up of our furniture but later we found out, the Three of the pieces we ordered were not available for set up and had to be built by us. One of the main reasons we had gone to Ashley instead of somewhere like IKEA was because we didn’t want to build our own furniture. This was not figured out until it was time for the actual delivery. Another false statement she made to the charging of the furniture. We wanted partial payment by my mother and a certain amount of the pieces to go on our Ashley credit card. Instead, she charged more to our Ashley credit card, which was not what we had wanted . Once the Furniture was delivered, and we had to put the bedroom pieces together, we moved on and within two weeks one of the drawers on the six piece dresser broke (this was mid-july). As it was covered under warranty, we called the number and started the process for possible repair replacement. By July 20th, we were called and told that the drawer would be replaced and shipped to our home address. On August 5th, I placed a phone call to customer service when the drawer never arrived. This started a three month process of trying to get the drawer replaced. We were told many stories each time we called. It always started with checking in with the warehouse which nobody could ever reach someone there to give us an answer. We were told that the draw would be coming and wouldn’t arrive till October bc it was coming from China. Between July and October, we probably placed over five phone calls which took about an hour each time. On October 15, we called in to check the status of the drawer since it never arrived. We were then told that the order was canceled and that it wasn’t coming from China. After getting extremely frustrated, we were transferred to a customer service supervisor who let us know that they are a third-party customer service line and that we needed to speak to the customer service person in the store. No one on our previous six phone calls had ever told us that. We finally got in touch with the customer service rep at the store (Leti). We explained our story and frustration and she said that she would help us resolve it. She told us at the dresser could be ordered and set up for delivery but wouldn’t set up for premium delivery meaning. This meant we would have to put the second dresser together as well. When we got notification of the delivery by email, I noticed that the email said it was for the wrong piece of furniture so I had to call back again and let them know about the mistake. . During that week of communication, we did get a shipment of draw to our address , and it was not from China, but Illinois. When we open the box, the pieces of the drawer were there but none of the hardware so as of the end of October we have a drawer with no hardware and a dresser that they’re trying to deliver but won’t put together. As of November 6, and 4 mire phone calls, we still have no resolution. This is one of the worst shopping experiences we’ve ever had along with the customer service we’ve received. People say they want to help you, but then don’t provide any real resolution and when they do, it’s with false statements. We will never shop there ever again. if I could give zero stars I would.

I sent a string of emails starting Monday including emailing their reviews @ Ashley and customer service email and their store employee Y Fernandez. It apparently takes them 5 business days to open an email and think of a response to how grossly mismanaged they are. 🤷🏻♂️
Worst shopping experience at the Colma store! Sold me a dining table which was not in stock , took days off from work to find out the shipment was not delivering the same day while waited at hime. my sales never returned my calls and had to contact their corporate to ask for a refund two months later.
Impossible to get a hold of anyone at the store. I’ve tried calling 4 times by now and emailed as well. See my email below. Hopefully the store supervisor can call or email me back. The customer service line called this morning and hung up on my face when I asked them for the supervisor contact. Dear Ashley Furniture Customer Service, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the customer service I have received regarding my recent purchase of a couch, coffee table, and rug. While my in-store experience was generally satisfactory despite some initial confusion with scheduling, the service has significantly deteriorated since then. Firstly, I encountered rude delivery drivers, which I promptly reported. While I appreciate that this issue was addressed, it unfortunately led to further complications. My coffee table, originally scheduled for delivery on Saturday, October 27th, was inexplicably pushed to Tuesday, October 29th—a day when I am not available. When the delivery coordinator person called, I clearly requested a Saturday delivery. Despite informing both the Ashley store and a customer care representative to cancel the Tuesday delivery and reschedule for the following Saturday, I continued to receive messages confirming the unwanted Tuesday delivery. It is exceedingly frustrating to have to repeat myself multiple times without any corrective action taken. Now, I am told there are no available delivery dates for Saturday, November 2nd, and I must wait an additional 14 days until November 9th. This delay is unacceptable and appears to result from a failure on your part to properly note my delivery preferences. It feels as though I am being deprioritized despite the inconveniences I’ve already faced. I expect this issue to be resolved promptly. Please arrange for the delivery of my coffee table on Saturday, November 2nd, as initially requested. If this matter is not addressed satisfactorily, I will have to consider taking further action, including sharing my experience publicly and reconsidering future purchases with Ashley Furniture. I look forward to your prompt response and a swift resolution.
We visited the store to purchase bedroom furniture. Rose was very helpful as we couldn't decide on the color. There was no pressure to buy & we had plenty of time to explore. We left & called back a few days later to purchase a chest of drawers & nightstand. The only negative was a manager that was hollering like he was at the gym. Very unprofessional. We would have left if it wasn't for Rose.

My wife and I went to the Ashley store in Colma. Was greeted when we walked in the front doors by Rose. She asked us what we were looking for and we told her we were looking for a bed and some end tables. She was very helpful and showed us everywhere that we should look. We spent about a couple of hour there and ended up purchasing a bedframe and two end tables. I would just like to say that Rose was very helpful, kind and professional. She explained in detail on how long the delivery would take what to expect and if we had any questions to call her and she would help us out. My wife and I were very pleased with the customer service that Rose provided to us.
Most of these google reviews are not real, check Yelp to see what this stores rating really is (or I will save you the effort it’s like 2 stars). We ordered a bed in August and were assured we would receive it by September 10th (delivery date on receipt) September 9th rolls around and we call to ask about the status only to find out that it’s out of stock and the new date is now October. Meanwhile there has been no communication about a delay. This store is a scam. If you do happen to check Yelp you will find about 5-10 other stories similar to this. This store DOES NOT deliver on time. Their customer service is non-existent, and what’s more it seems like they are actively covering up/ pretending to be responsive on Google? Just know you are 100% taking a gamble on buying from this particular Ashley furniture store.

We placed an order at the store, the sales rep checked and promised our order would be delivered in 3 weeks. 2 month later and after 5 delivery reschedules we decided to cancel the order and order from somewhere else. The worst thing is when we placed our original order, every other brand was running a special event for 4th of July and we lost the opportunity to take advantage of that because of Ashley horrible customer service. If I could give them negative stars, I would. We specifically asked about delivery delays and the assured us we’ll get our items on-time but here we go
Came to Ashley to look for barstools and ended up purchasing a couch, love seat, and mattress with the barstools. Was greeted at the door by Rose who was exceptional! Very friendly and helpful and not pushy at all! Showed me their different pet friendly sofas and found one that I think will fit my needs. I’m so happy with my purchases and glad that I had Rose and Leon to help me!
This store has a very bad service attitude I just bought a sofa in less than three days and then broke they said they could give me a new replacement results they sent me a repairman to look at the answer is that I can only give me a replacement of a spare part But if you do not want to give me a replacement or a refund why did you say at the time that you can Anyway, to the back they have been postponing each other to give me all kinds of excuses.

8/9/24 Update: all the people that we've been working with are mysteriously "gone" from this Colma store. These are all the people that are involved in this never ending nightmare. How convenient for them right? We just want to return the chairs that we're waiting for and do a charge back to our credit card but now there's nobody there that can do that, so they say. Update 8/8/24 I really want to warn people about this store. I emailed the provided email address as suggested in the reply to my comment from Ashley Furniture. We received no response from them. There is no sincerity in their apology. Now we're being ignored even more. This place is a scam. Here are just a few of the complaints I have: They are horrible. I am trying to save you from the pain and anguish that comes from buying furniture from this place. I wish someone had warned us earlier. The customer service is non-existent. If there is a mistake on your furniture order, and trust me they will sometimes deliver the wrong furniture to your house, it will take them months and months to fix the issue. You can try to escalate it to hire ups but that will get you nowhere because they will ignore your emails and phone calls. Their delivery drivers never come on time or they come earlier or later than expected and then they will make you reschedule to have it be delivered at another date. Sometimes the delivery drivers don't show up at all. That happened to us three times so far. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, my local consumer protection office, CA Attorney General and The Federal Trade Commission. We've waited months and months for a single chair to be delivered. It has yet to show up. They will also claim that they can't find any of your paperwork. Another fun thing that they try to do is put you in the middle between the actual store location employees and the escalation department with both of them saying that they can't do anything to help you or that once you reached escalation you cannot go any further up in management from there to complain about anything or find a resolution to your issue. So this really leaves you stuck with no solution. They'll do this to you for a while just to stall time hoping that you eventually just give up. They keep you on hold forever if you're calling about a problem, they don't return calls and they don't respond to any of your emails. It's almost like they get some kind of sick enjoyment out of just making everything harder for you. Please do not shop here. This has been a never ending nightmare for us. If you have Reddit and search "Ashley Furniture" you'll see a lot of bad reviews/bad experiences with them as well. It's truly been a living nightmare and the store manager Mark is no help at all. (Original review) My parents had the wrong furniture delivered. That was the first issue. Then they gave my parents a "reselection" for different furniture. Now, my parents have been wanting for 2 chairs since the beginning of June. It's now almost the end of July. They say they're going to deliver something and they keep rescheduling. I would go with someone different if you're looking for furniture.

My experience last week with Rose was amazing, Rose was so patient especially since I was with my elder Mother. She took her time to explain & to get me the best deal. She was super patient and knowledgeable of the products. I bought a Queen Bedroom Set & a Mattress plus foundation. Rose took her time & had me try numerous mattress which was so helpful since I deal with chronic back pain. I feel extremely pleased at the products I purchased. Zero stars was not an option. I only purchased here because of the price and have not received my order but I am sure the quality is fine. It took me over a week to even buy the furniture, as the website has the most inane policy that the shipping and billing address on the card must match (literally no idea why). Furthermore, this store is impossible to reach as I called several times with no answer, corporate called several times with no answer, and I only got to finally speak with the store after someone from customer service tried periodically for about 5 hours. Hands down the most difficult time I have ever had giving a company my money.
This was our third big purchase at Ashley‘s in Colma. First two were with sofas with Rose, yesterday we made a purchase for a dining room table and chairs with Sergio. The Nightmare That Is Ashley Furniture, Store 81 in Colma, CA My recent experience with Ashley Furniture at Store 81 in Colma, CA, has been nothing short of a living nightmare. From the moment I made my purchase store, I was met with apathy, incompetence, and sheer disregard for basic customer service principles. Before I get into the experience, the ONLY positive component worth mentioning is the specific customer service rep I worked with (David Tuong) and the AMAZING store manager (Mark). Now that the only highlight is over, let's get to the negative. Firstly, Ashley's online customer service displayed an alarming lack of knowledge about their own products. I spent time with multiple online reps who seemed utterly clueless, providing conflicting information about the availability and features of the items I was interested in. This was only the beginning of my ordeal. The delivery service, which happened twice, was an absolute DIASTER. Whomever Ashley outsources (aka the delivery personnel) were rude, unprofessional, and had the audacity to not only refuse to delivery my items because they had to take the steps, but treated me with utter disrespect/ When I tried to contact customer service to resolve the issue, I was met with unending hold times and transferred from one inept representative to another. Each conversation ended with hollow promises of a resolution that never materialized. The sheer incompetence of their customer service team is staggering and left me feeling utterly helpless and infuriated. Moreover, the follow-up service was nonexistent. Despite numerous calls and emails, there was no effort from Ashley Furniture to rectify their mistakes or provide any form of compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused. It became painfully clear that they have no regard for their customers' satisfaction or loyalty. In summary, I experienced appalling customer experience marred by unknowledgeable online staff, horrendous delivery services, and a customer service department that is both useless and indifferent. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere – the Ashley Furniture brand is a disgrace and an absolute insult to paying customers.
I was recommended to come here when I was looking for new furniture. Sherrie leads an amazing team and I couldn’t appreciate their efforts more. Rose, Leon and Chantell were all very helpful in my search for the perfect bed. I will definitely be returning here when I upgrade!

OK, being straight forward, I have been working at Ashley's in Los Angeles for 3 1/2 years and needed to purchase a mattress for my Mom. Such a nice store and The Million Dollar Writer David Thuong, could teach Ashley's Corporation to why he is so great. Mazel Tov to you David . The store itself was clean, organized and showroom ready as all Ashley Stores should be. When you visit this location, ask for David Thuong. He's a million dollar writer for a reason. I didn't take any photos so I volunteer for Best Friends Animal Society here in Los Angeles and you have to admit, dogs are more fun than furniture.
Leon was amazing!!!!!!! I was having trouble finding something with color and funky. I was going to get a boing grey sectional. Then he suggested this amazing blue that was funky enough for me!!!! I couldnt be more happy with his help. Not pushy at all. It was as if he was an old friend helping look for aomething that made me smile. You Rock Leon!!!!!!!!!! Thank you

After we found the item (dining table), well explanation , efficient sales process. Highly recommended place to shop, the crew is full of enthusiastic.

She focused on what we are planning to buy She was able to provide us a quote as soon as we found the furniture that suited our need. I was a customer at the CA Colma Ashley store and purchased a $2453 mattress on 4/14/24. I rarely post reviews but this time, I must do my public service to share about this terrible experience. In my 78 years as a customer, I have never been treated as poorly as I have been in the past few weeks by the Colma Ashley store manager, Mark and sales manager, Bobby. I discovered a dent on the sleeping surface of my new mattress, and contacted the store about a replacement. Under the Sale Order Terms and Conditions, under Returns and Cancellations, it states that "...if your item is damaged or defective and we'll work with you to repair, replace or pick-up the item." For ~ 15-20 hours over weeks I tried to work with the store manager, Mark, to get a replacement. At one point, my family and I interacted with Bobby as well, whose attitude was truly one of the most disrespectful I have ever encountered in my long lifetime. Mark had verbally approved of a replacement, however, weeks later, their customer service team was still awaiting the written validation of this approval after multiple email requests were sent from customer service to the store. We even got on a three-way call between one of the customer service escalation supervisors and Mark, to explain that the only blocker to resolution was the store's written validation of approval for this one-time courtesy exchange. Mark insulted the escalation supervisor while on the call by cutting her off several times before he hung up on us who were in mid sentence. With no other options available to us, we had to email the CEO about this matter, to which there was finally a swift response. If we had not taken this final action, we would not have received delivery of our replacement mattress. After so many hours of aggravation, wasted time being runaround and around, and treated so disrespectfully by Mark and Bobby in particular, I stand by that I have never been treated so poorly as a customer in all of my years.

Our family was already walking into Ashley’s overwhelmed and exhausted with couch shopping, but David was easy going, gave us great advice and most importantly was not being pushy and pressuring us to buy. We were looking for a modular sofa since we live in the city, and they had a large showroom with many options. David Tuong was helpful with answering our questions, which we had a lot of! He showed us the options of couches that met our needs and was very personable. Also their couches felt higher quality than some of the other furniture stores we went to, so would recommend to check them out.

Not only was she super patient while helping me decide what mattress I wanted to buy (also remaining extremely patient with my, at times, high maintenance younger sister), but also super knowledgeable as well. It's so rare nowadays to have a customer service experience be anywhere close to this amazing, I knew I needed to leave a review. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

I returned to Ashley furniture for the second time around after so many’s years . I was greeted by Rose who works at the Colma location . I went in looking for a mattress, but I end up making a big purchase for my whole house because Mark the store manager was able to give us additional discounts. To top my whole experience I was very pleased with the delivery of the furniture because the workers assembled the furniture straight from the box . definitely, I’ll be returning back for another purchase in the future.

Chantell was Awesome, we had been looking for furniture for our new house for a week and in every place we went people didn’t care to take the time with us to see what we wanted. Chantell help us for almost 2 hours and we got everything we need it from her, she was very patient, attentive, professional and very attentive to our needs. She finally figured out and we were happy with the results, we got all our Living Room, Dining set, bar stools, rugs, etc. She should be employed of the month. The first time we went to the store She was the only person who greeted us and she was so faster to attend us. The other sales persons there didn’t even care to talk to us. Thank you Chantell. If I need more furniture in the future for my house I will definitely look for her again.
NEVER SHOP HERE. It took us over a month and a half to get our couch. They rescheduled our delivery three times in two weeks, which is unbelievably inconvenient because they do not give you a delivery window until the day before so you have to guarantee that you will be available all day for them. They also cancelled the delivery the night before and the morning of so my partner and I had already taken off work for it. This also makes no sense to me because they said it was because a piece was back ordered and that it takes 3 days to process it so we had to wait another 5 days for delivery so they should have known and been able to notify us at least 3 days in advance that the delivery would not be happening. Then when we tried to call the store to get answers I was promised twice that a manager would call me back because they were "busy" and they never called back. Despite the fact that this was our second purchase there in 6 months so we had spent nearly $5000 there. Then when the couch finally did arrive the people who were bringing it into our building tried twice to tell us that it wouldn't fit without even trying, first on the stairs and second at our door way. My partner had to spend 10 minutes each time convincing them to even try. Of course it ultimately did fit after my partner explained to them how to angle it in. This has been by far the worst experience that I have ever had buying furniture.
I went in and one lady didn't seem she wanted to help me. I was looking for bed. And I guess she wanted to sale me a whole set. And never went to an Ashley Furniture again.

We had a great experience at Ashley Furniture in Colma today. After shopping for 5 weeks to find the perfect sofa for our small living room I found one at this store and bought it in less than 30 minutes. That was possible because our salesperson, Rose and her manager Mark made sure that every little detail I insisted on was addressed. Don't do it! They will not offer refunds for any reason and will drop off the delivery anywhere in the room. They operate like a shady used car lot and play games when they should do right by the customer. They refuse to take items back and will make you come into the store to get an answer from anyone.

We worked with Yollette at this store regarding a potential sofa purchase. We ultimately did not buy it because of a long lead time, but Yollette was super helpful and provided great service in answering all of our questions (there were many) over the course of a store visit and maybe 4-5 phone calls. Minus one star because the store as a whole was not flexible about how they can do orders over the phone, which is why we lost out on the sofa, but I would still work with this store again.

Rose assisted me today and she was fantastic. She greeted me at the entry this morning and helped me view couch’s that were similar to the one I found online that I wanted to purchase. I stuck with the one I found online, and had store gift cards that were given to me in august of 2022 from another store location. Turns out that other store scammed me, as the gift cards stopped being used in 2017. Rose and the manager, Marc, went above and beyond helping me get the best deal and with their hard work we were able to come to an agreement. I value customer service as I’ve worked the industry, and I can definitely say they are the type of people you wish were everywhere. Incredibly thankful for their help, kindness, and teamwork.
Rose was awesome! Had to change my order--from a queen to a full, and that's when things seem to get more complicated. I could not get Bobby to call me back. Mark was my manager that sold me the bed, and I connected with him yesterday. The amount of times that I had to call the store was unreal. 75% of the time, nobody answered? Not sure what was up with that.
Came in 8 pm. Was not swarmed when I came in but not ignored. Didn't feel pressured to buy. Not the cheapest but it's pretty hassle free.

Walking into the store yesterday with no intention of purchasing we walked out with a new sofa and queen mattress. Jonathan met us as we walked in and we told him we were only looking for a sofa. He showed us a couple and left us to browse. He came back to check on us and we found one we liked. We have been all around the Bay Area looking. The one store we hadn’t been was Ashley. Wow not only was Jonathan so helpful but also the manager Ken. We mentioned we were interested in a queen mattress and Ken proceeded to show us what he thought we would like. We own a purple but when he showed us the Ashley we were hooked. What customer service these gentlemen showed us. We would recommend this store and employees to all. Thank you Jonathan and Ken for helping us and we can’t wait to receive our new furniture!

EDIT: It saddens us to have to update this review because our experience with Rose and Bob was so great. We received the table today and it was an absolute disaster. We had paid for the delivery and assembly service. The two men who assembled the table for us did a horrendous job. They used plates and screws from the bench on the table, attached the legs of the table completely crookedly, and left the bench legs partially unscrewed because they were missing plates/screws for the bench (since they had used it on the table). We had to completely disassemble everything, and in that, discovered we were missing half the plates/screws for the table. We called Ashley, and they can’t get us the missing plates/screws or help for over a week. We will have to have an upside down table in our living room for a week as a result. We will never be shopping Ashley again because of how horrible their warehouse/delivery/backend service is, which is a shame because the store reps themselves are great. Original review: We had the best experience at this Ashley store today with Rose and her manager Bob! I highly recommend coming to this location anytime you need new furniture. We had had major issues with getting an order we had placed on the online website. After many hours on the phone with the website, we decided to go into a store and give it a try. Rose and Bob listened to us as we explained the issues. They explained that the website is actually third party, and it is best to order in store. Bob was able to match the online pricing for us, and we are getting the table set delivered in three days! The customer service at this store is exceptional, and Rose and Bob were ready to go above and beyond to give us a good experience. We will be back here the next time we need more furniture!

Initially I was excited to go to ashley they always have great products. I found a lindyn 3 piece laf sectional with chaise in fog and wanted to get it however I know ashley does price match and found it 800 dollars cheaper online and went to ask for it however Bobby said it had to be in stocks. I came back when it was in stock and when I walked in Bobby was bad mouthing s customer to his sales team loudly. When he noticed I was looking they moved the conversation. I proceeded to do my business and segio who is great and Ken both helped me. I asked for the price match and without hesitation Ken gave it to me. After completing the paperwork Bobby the rude sales manager came over and said oh yes I remember you and had to type in his code for discount which he was talking under his breath about how this was not right. I came home did measurements realized I needed the 5 PC sectional so I priced it again online went back to store he made me go thru entire process to show him and then he walked away and started talking bad about me after he refused to price match because it was an online store. I have left several messages for Ken to call me back but it's been 7 days no call. I called the main customer service number to see if they could reach him and no answer. I decided to just have customer service cancel my 5 thousand dollar order today and go to living spaces where I found the lindyn 5-piece laf sectional with chaise in fog for 2495 the same item at ashley is 3495. I know customer are not always right but at least have enough respect when you disagree with them to do so privately and not talk about customers within earshot

Even though I dress like a homeless person rather than a prosperous furniture buyer, I was greeted warmly and given top drawer attention. I was obviously shopping for a lowball chair, but Sylvia treated my purchase as if she was salesperson of the month.She explained everything clearly and never rushed me. I also shopped at LazyBoy ln SSF. The company has a catchy name and a good PR Dept., but their recliners are sub standard and hard to operate…absolute junk.

The Ashley furniture store in Colma sure did treat us good. The manager Ken & the retail sales rep Vivian were very professional, nice, & went out of their way to satisfy our wishes. We were kind of difficult customers & they just took it in stride and again, satisfied our requests & needs & those were not easy to satisfy. They really do deserve this 5 star review. And we should mention Caprice too. Front office manager, she was very nice & friendly and professional too! Thanks Ken & Vivian & Caprice!

This store deserves zero stars. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. The manager, "Ken" with an accent is the worst. Extremely disrespectful and RUDE. Their delivery team damaged my dresser and all the drawers. They damaged my wall. They didn't wear shoe covers in my house. They could barely lift the dresser. I've left 7 messages with the front desk at the Colma store to get this settled and no one calls back. 30 days later, NOTHING at all has been fixed. This is the worst company to buy from. The customer service line doesn't help either, they defer to the store. I will never in life purchase anything from them again. I regret going with them. I'll say it again.... This place is the WORST!!!

I am having an incredibly frustrating experience at Ashley Home Store in Colma. Despite Ken, the manager, and Evelyn, the sales rep, assuring me they'd replace a footboard that was damaged from delivery, the repeated delivery promises for the replacement footboard have been consistently empty. Despite assurances from Ken, the manager, and Evelyn, the sales rep, the lack of follow-through has left me awaiting a resolution and deeply disappointed in the overall customer service

We have made several purchases from Ashley’s in the past. Each time we were assisted by David. In the past , it was from their store at Bayshore at SF but they have since moved to Colma. It was great to see David there and he always provides excellent customer service. Will recommend Ashley and David to family and friends.
Shady business practices. Even though their policy states that you can cancel an order prior to delivery, the store will repeatedly "forgot" to cancel your order. So far I've called three times trying to cancel my order. Each time I call to cancel, they assure me that they've cancelled the order. However, when I don't receive the confirmation email they've promised I call back, at which point they tell me that the order hasn't been canceled. It's also worth noting that each time I call to cancel, they offer to give me a couple hundred dollars back if I don't cancel. They seem quite desperate for sales. 0/10 customer service and quality of furniture.
I ordererd a table and my table will supposed to be arrived today but it didn't fix that ashley.

I ordered a rug and it was much smaller then I anticipated. I called the store to attempt to exchange it but I was told that they have a 3 day return policy. I was a couple days past this time frame. I was never informed of this policy when I purchased the rug. I explained this to the representative, but she said she couldn't do anything for me. I asked to speak to the manager Ken. He was busy at the time so I was told he would call me but I'm yet to receive a call. Terrible customer service! Once they make that sell they don't care whether their customers are happy. I do not recommend coming here.

Be careful before you purchase since there is no refund. They tell anything so good at the store but actually it is a scam. I brought a sofa and had not delivery yet to my home. Base on the policy, I can call in and cancel before the deliver date. I called multiple times and said they said they will refund and turned out it was not. You totally lost our trust on your company as 1st time buying your furniture. NEVER BUY YOUR BRAND AGAIN.

I do NOT recommend Ashley Furniture. I purchased a dining set on 9/1/23 and it was delivered damaged. I have been trying to get it replaced for a month now without success. The customer service is horrible and the manager at Ashley Furniture never returns my calls. DO NOT SHOP THERE!

It was labor day weekend and I decided to go to the store thinking I would just look around and do some window shopping, but Chantel approached me and provided me information on how to get approved for financing. She walked me through the process which was very prompt and easy. I picked the furniture that I liked and within my budget, and in just few minutes I was able to purchase my couch. Great experience overall!

Didn't really need a lot of help because I kind of knew what I was looking for but we had a young gentleman that met us when we first came in and so he just every now and then would ask did we need any help or could answer any questions and so when I did find the couch that I really wanted he was very helpful in the process of purchasing my new couch
Good experience. Showroom had a nice selection of quality but reasonably priced sectionals. I felt it very important to see a unit, feel the cushions, fabric, see the color, etc. rather than buy sight unseen from a catalog/webpage. Salesperson was knowledgeable about their inventory and good at efficiently guiding me to units that would meet my size/color/style preferences, while laying back while I looked closer at best candidates. Ultimately came back with my partner a few days later to make final selection and purchase. Same salesperson gave us a compelling deal and completed the paperwork in a timely manner.
One thing I can importantly say is I felt so welcome. Judith and her manager were the most kindest people ever! They were so patient with me and answered all my questions. I never ever do reviews and this is my first time I can say I would come back again and buy furniture here with them. They are awesome!

Ashley has a very nice and diverse selection of couches. We went to many stores but preferred the quality and price at Ashley. I was so pleased with the delivery and setup that I will be back to the store for additional purchases. Of course, I will be looking for Rose to assist me. Today I made a second visit to Ashley because my first purchase two weeks ago was perfect. Today Vivian made it easy and enjoyable for me to select a sofa, two matching chairs, two bedroom end tables and lamps. Ken, the manager made sure I was getting the very best sales price for my items. It was a great experience with delivery scheduled for three days from today. My only disappointment was that Rose was out sick. But he illness gave me the opportunity to meet the equally superb Vivian.
Place is perfectly clean. Staff are really approachable. Good customer service with Chantelle she really friendly she pointed out to all the furniture that we are looking for she is really knowledgeable.

Ashley deeply lets me down. My experience has been extremely disappointing. On August 5th, I purchased a couch online, and I received an email stating it would be delivered by August 15th. Then, on August 11th, Ashley messaged me confirming the delivery for August 15th around 6pm and I confirmed my acceptance. Over the weekend, I called Ashley to double-check the delivery date, and they reassured me it would still arrive on August 15th. I arranged to be home early that day, taking time off work to ensure I could receive the delivery. However, to my dismay, the couch didn't arrive. When I contacted Ashley, they informed me that the delivery was scheduled for the second week of September. This was disheartening as I had plans for friends to stay over that weekend, so I ended up canceling the online order. On August 16th, I decided to buy the couch directly from Cloma Ashley, hoping for a better experience. They told me the delivery was set for August 22nd, and I agreed. But on August 21st, I received a message indicating the delivery was scheduled from 8am to noon. Since I wouldn't be available during that time, I called and asked if they could deliver it after 4pm. They assured me they would relay this request to the delivery team. However, they went ahead and delivered it before 4pm, when I wasn't home, forcing me to reschedule yet again. When I contacted them once more, I was informed that they don't offer specific delivery times – something I had dealt with when ordering online. Feeling helpless, I settled for a September 2nd delivery, an option I was given. Fast forward to today, August 24th, when I called Ashley to confirm the delivery details. To my astonishment, they now claim the delivery won't be until September 12th, not September 2nd as previously arranged. I'm baffled and frustrated by the lack of clarity in this situation. I'm utterly exhausted and stressed due to my ongoing interactions with Ashley. I'm at a loss. Update: I called the store, they said they will call back. I still haven’t receive any. No accountability. Don’t buy from Ashley.

The thing I love about Ashley’s is the staff. They are always willing to work with you! Sylvia is super helpful and carries her measuring tape around to insure that you don’t bring anything that won’t fit into your space. I’ve come multiple times with probably too many questions but never felt pressured to buy anything that I didn’t need or want.

Caprice is great. Go to her when you need anything customer service related. She changed my mind from coming in decided to cancel and firm for my daughters purchase. To explaining the delay with such detail and evidence that I had no choice but to keep her stuff and not only that. My daughter ended up purchasing more and swiping my Amex for an additional couple grand. She is good. Be careful with your encounter with her. You might come out spending more when you came in with the intention of a refund. 10/10. Highly recommended this store. On the other hand. The manager Bobby was not so great. He ignored us and was on his phone the entire time we were in there he didn’t even acknowledge us. Thanks Caprice!!

Buyer beware. Terrible delivery service kept me waiting for my furniture for SEVEN HOURS and then didn't deliver. They were literally 3 houses down the street, got there truck stuck and drove away. I thought they were going to make another approach, but they left. I paid them my hard earned money for delivery on a specific date. That service was not provided.

This is more a review for Rose and the wonderful customer service. I had some issues with an existing furniture that had a protection plan and Rose jumped in and helped me to resolution. She kept in touch for weeks and any time i had questions she answered them, even when i delayed going in to choose a replacement. Finally when i was able to go in, she was warm and welcoming and we picked out a new dining set. Thank you Rose. I highly recommend asking for Rose when you go in.

After visiting outlet and specialty furniture shops, I am glad we went to Ashley. Their customer service is excellent and delivery was within the time period expected. Set up of my furniture was seamless and quick. The price for my furniture (recliner) was on the high end of the budget but I was able to view it, sit on it and had a few options before I decided to purchase it. I think it’s very good quality and better than just purchasing something online with fingers crossed!
Employees mispelled my name and email twice. And were rude when I pointed their mistake out. Also they tried to upsell and charge for delivery and purchase protection after I repeatedly said I don’t need any of that. Next time I will just order myself online

We went to purchase a mattress and Sergio was able to help and answer all our questions. We also were looking into new couches as well. Sergio’s customer service and patience was excellent! When we were ready to make our purchase we had the help of Ken and Bobby who also were very pleasant and helped us with a great deal with us purchasing a new bed frame , mattress and couches. I was in Ashley Furniture Store browsing. There Store Associate Vivian, greeted me at the front entrance of the store with such a beautiful personality. She asked me what brought me in today and my reply was nothing in particular. She showed the mattress that were on sale at the time.Even though I wasn't ready to purchase a big ticket item she was very gracious not pushy like other sales people can be. It was just a pleasure experiencing such great friendly and non judgement customer service. If you are at Ashley's ask for Vivian you won't be disappointed.
Chantel is by far the worst sale person I have ever met. If you are looking for help this is not the place you are looking for. They have really nice products but the customer experience is horrible!! They are not looking to be any help! They are just trying to get more dollars not matter what! They are super pushy and money hungry!!!!! There are not transparent at all. They are such in a hurry to close the deal and don't let you think or read the fine print.

We have a small home (and stairs) so delivery is important & Measurement to make sure it will be able to be delivered... is vital. Lots of discussion about exact dimensions, and quality craftsmanship... how long it would take, is it in stock??... Rose and Michael were superstars. They explained everything, both were knowledgeable and helpful. They handled our many questions. And our sofa will get delivered 3/8 -Wednesday- less than a week after we ordered it. We got $200 off the original price, quick delivery and information on exactly what to do if it was not suitable/ damaged etc. we have a customer service number to call. The store is FULL of merchandise, reasonable prices and delivery is +$129. Lots of selection!

In 2006 I visited an Ashley store for the first time in Goodyear, AZ and had not been back since. Last Christmas I wanted to buy my wife a new King bed and she remembered Ashley Homestore Colma. So we stopped by and met Evelyn on January 5, 2023. We found our King bed and added the Purple brand mattress. Evelyn was able to schedule delivery on January 14th. Evelyn was very patient and the best part of our buying experience was her CUSTOMER SERVICE which was KEY in our decision to buy. Aleim the manager was a bonus and helped us in the process of our purchase and included an added discount. The delivery on Saturday, January 14th was serviced by Franklin and his son Franklin. They brought our new bed upstairs and assembled. The work was very timely and once again, we received courtesy and excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE. This was a wonderful buying experience and our Purple Mattress has given us good night's sleep. Give Ashley Homestore Colma a visit for your future home furnishing investment. We found exactly what my daughter wanted for her room at a good price. Michael was our sales rep. He was attentive without being overbearing, and he provided useful information whenever we needed it. Thanks, Michael :-). I could tell that Michael was being coached by his manager to upsell us on a protection plan (which I bought) and a mattress (which I didn't buy). I did need to push back several times to make it clear that I didn't want to look at any mattresses, but I think that was a reflection of how Michael was being managed than on Michael's approach. Lay off, manager!

The store prices were $40 more than their website prices, so we had to do price matching. When checking out I declined the $50 furniture protection plan, but the sales person added it in anyway and I had to ask them to remove it. The sales person also added a $70 delivery fee which includes furniture assembly. When I asked if they can deliver the furniture and I assemble it, they said the assembly is included with the delivery fee so I just accepted this cost. However, when reading through the terms and conditions, I found that they have a free delivery option that allows for me to assemble the furniture. I then had to get a refund for the delivery and assembly fee. It wasn't a bad or stressful experience, it was not a hassle to get the refund, and I would go back, but they need to be more transparent.
Our time at Ashley was definitely a very enjoyable experience. Going in to sit on all the comfy sofas, chairs, and looking at everything overall was very fun. Sylvia was the first to approach us and guided us through our options while catering to our vision. She was very helpful in laying out what was included in each dining set, tv/heater combo and sofa. She even suggested that we look at Ashley online and it expanded our choices even more. We visited another furniture store before making our final decision and our return to Ashley was due to Sylvia. Sylvia and her manager were very thorough in guiding us through the delivery process as well as the benefits to the furniture insurance. We had a small hiccup for one of our items but Sylvia and her manager made it work so that all our furniture will arrive to our new home on time! Overall, they exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend anyone who wants a smooth experience to come in, you will love the variety, atmosphere, customer service and financing options. We look forward to using Ashley for our future furniture needs.

I was a little nervous coming her based on the two stars! But we got lucky and things went well.We came to check out their Labor Day sale for a sectional couch. David was really helpful and patient with us as we looked around. We wanted to check out three furniture stores to make sure we found the right couch for the right price, and we found that here.I liked that we found a couch that was literally the perfect size, and we got to customize it by adding a pullout sleeper foam mattress. I recently had a guest who said it was one of the best sleeps she's had in a while after she slept on it. The price was also within our budget, and anytime we needed help David was really good about it. At one point, we even came in a second time prior to delivery because we thought the wrong color was selected, but David reassured us that everything was fine, and it was.Delivery-wise -- things happened as expected. The delivery guys were quick and respectful. They don't wear masks, but that's most places these days. At one point I was scared the couch wouldn't fit through the building hallway and staircase, but they made it work somehow.Overall, it was a good experience, and we are happy with the couch, pricing, and delivery. I did however triple checked and read everything carefully because of all the not so great reviews, so that might've contributed to the good experience.

It was the worst service experience ever in my life! We bought a sofa set and a dining set total cost $3000. When they delivered we found a dining chair damaged and a driver broke the sofa set himself. Then we let them brought back the chair and sofa to replace. Then our nightmare experience started. I tried call customer service several times. They like didn’t know anything about it. Then we have to ran into the store. I went 4 times total my husband went 3. In the beginning the customer service manager in the store told us return pieces are still in the truck. I said for whole week they still in the truck? He told me everything he knows is following the system. He informed us we will get the phone call from the dispatch. But we didn’t. We have to call them again. They told me they only seen we refused a sofa set but no chair. After this we went to store twice about the chair and every time they told us they follow to the system. The system shows we already received whole dining set. Then today I took a phone from the sales. She told me the sofa will delivery tomorrow. I asked what about the chair. She was like didn’t know about the chair because it not in the system of course. Then we went to the store again. The customer service still said the same thing about the “system”. They treat me like I’m a kind of “difficult”customer. Like I paid $3000 just for defraud a dining chair. And they trying to shifting responsibility to the girl who sell us furnitures. By the way every time we were in the store the store manager Ken hidden in the back and ignores us. But before I paid he was super pushy and money hungry. After you paid he didn’t know you at all. I will never spend any dollar from Ashely again. They treat you like trash. The customer service never trying to help you. If you buy anything from them. Just pray that their drivers never going to broke your stuff or you don’t need to return anything. otherwise you might be never receive your order.
Sorry in advance for the long rant but I want to share my experience. Frustrated is an understatement with how I feel about the customer service. I ordered furniture on 9/16. Some was delivered and the rest was direct ship. I am STILL missing one of the items a month later. I have called customer service multiple times and gone into the store for answers 3 times since my purchase but have received no assistance or update. Both on the phone and in the store is nothing but incompetence and lack of interest to assist. They just give short, open ended answers so they don’t have to deal with you anymore. By far the worst treatment came from Ken at the store, he was extremely rude and condescending. He acted like I was bothering him and being ridiculous for asking him to check where my furniture is. He NEVER ONCE apologized for the inconvenience or understood my frustration. He then just stated it would be delivered “some time next week” and gave me a tracking number (that still says pending) to rush me off the phone. My husband went in to the store the next day in person and was told that they weren’t sure what the status was and they would reach out to get status and call us back. We never received a call back. We’ve waited 1 week for a response but received nothing, so my husband went back in today and they gave him the exact answer as last week (that it says pending and AGAIN said they will call us back. There was absolutely no follow up done at all since the last time we were there. We have been very patient and would be understanding if someone just gave a straight and reliable answer. Everyone’s lack of initiative and accountability to help with this issue is ridiculous. Andres & Sergio we’re super nice & helpful with the purchase but now that they made the sale, we have yet to speak to anyone that is interested in working to solve any issues we have. This is my second time buying furniture from Ashley’s and have had issues with delivery both times. It will definitely be the last time I purchase. I’m just wanting to get my missing furniture so I can move on and never have to deal with their incompetence again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FURNITURE HERE!! Their customer service is horrible, especially Ken at the Colma store.
Buying the mattress was somewhat a helpful experience, was not told that the frame to put the base into had to be hollow so I had to return the frame I had purchased on my own. When I told them I already had an Ashley credit card they told me my old account was expired and I had to resign up but that was a lie!.So now I have an extra inquiry on my credit and TWO separate Ashely homestore credit cards!! This was such an annoying experience, you are better off buying things online!
I was in a rush to purchase a new bed frame and mattress this morning, and I was fortunately helped by Andrés. He got right to it and found me the perfect set! Andrés was super thoughtful and helpful. I was in and out of the store in less than 15 minutes! One of the easiest purchases I have made in a long time.

Extremely poor customer service, terrible delivery and post-purchase experience! We went in to Ashley's to buy a sofa. After making our selection and scheduling our delivery, we were excited to receive our sofa. On the day of delivery, we were told that the delivery team wouldn't take the sofa to the 4th floor via stairs. We had clearly mentioned that we live on the 4th floor before buying the sofa. We were not given the option to take the sofa on our own from the 3rd floor - we were told that our 1 year warranty would be void. The delivery guys told us that the sofa wouldn't fit through our door (even without actually trying to take the sofa till the 4th floor). We had measured our door before buying and we were confident that the sofa would fit, but there was huge resistance from both the delivery company and Ashley's. This gets worse. There is no easy way to directly call this store. It takes 40 - 60 mins to be bounced back and forth and finally be directed to the store. Even after we were directed to the store, the call was dropped a couple of times and no one bothered to call back. We had to drive to the store almost 3-4 times just to get in touch with someone at the store to understand how to get the refund (30 min drive one way). After talking to the store associates in-person, we requested for a refund. We were told that the sofa was again in "transit" to attempt a second delivery and they can only "process the refund" when the sofa is back in the fulfillment. HOW CAN YOU TRY REDELIVERING THE SAME SOFA WHEN YOU'VE CONCLUDED THAT IT CAN'T FIT? Maybe to charge the customers for delivery fees? Maybe! While leaving the store, we were told that the store associate would call us when the refund is processed the next day. Guess what? No one called and the refund has still not been processed. Keeps getting worse -- The delivery guys are attempting a 3RD DELIVERY !!! HOW and WHY? Huge gap between Ashley's home store, customer service and 3P Delivery Partners. Every step of the post-purchase process has been a pain!!! Currently on a 40 min call to simply "talk" to someone in the Colma store. Unbelievable. PS: Its been more than 20 days since we're stuck in this limbo

Do NOT shop here. Short story: we’ve spent over $1,000 on furniture here and both pieces are a disaster. One piece broke the first month of having it and it took them over a year to finally replace it (I had to fight them the whole process. Finally they said they would deliver it and canceled the delivery four times before finally delivering it). They lie about their protection plan through GBS (ProtectAll). They will not fix anything. I’ve submitted many claims through them for scratches, damages, etc. and every time GBS denies the request for some BS reason. Ashley Homestore has made me not just an unhappy customer, but a furious customer. For the rest of my life, I’ll never shop at any Ashley again. I wouldn’t go back if they offered me the whole store for free.
Bought an item two months ago and parts of the item were missing on delivery close to two months ago. Delivery continues to be pushed back and the corporate customer service is ineffective, slow, and does not seem interested in resolving my issue. I would avoid any location of this company like the plague, as they do not care about consumers.
Quick to make a sale, but won’t help you to get your refund when the item you bought is not in stock. We where even will to choose a different TV stand then one we picked. horrible customer service. Shame on the company for allowing this managers to operate in this manner and the employees for not putting there customer first.
This store is the worst! Do not order from them. They rescheduled my delivery twice and did not inform me. I waited at home and no one came and when I called to ask why they said they rescheduled it without contacting me. They couldn’t give me any updates on where the delivery was (literally provided zero tracking information, insights into why it was delayed, and couldn’t tell me if the next arbitrary date they set for redelivery would be met). Customer service from the store was very poor and it was obvious that the people on the phone from the store didn’t want to talk to me and could care less about my delivery. I canceled and went with Amazon since they have the same stock of items from Ashley furniture at a cheaper price with good tracking information and customer service.

My wife and I made a huge purchase almost everything was great until we received the recliner that does not match the living room set (obviously the wrong one).We came in the same day it was delivered and we were told it would be fixed. 2 weeks later no response. I came in to the store today and spoke with Ken. Ken said there was nothing they could do after I told him we don’t want that recliner nor the original one from the living set. He said it was the one we chose when I clearly remember saying we would wait for the recliner to be in stock and be delivered when Available. We don’t want this one nor do we want to pay the difference for the original one, we don’t want either one. This was their mistake and they don’t want to fix this. I will never buy here again.
I went in this afternoon looking for a coffee table for my condo. The manager and the lady at the front desk are so judgmental. DO NOT SHOTP AT THIS ELITIST SHOP. Take your money to Crate & Barrel or West Elm. At least people at those stores are more welcoming than the people at this location.

Bought furniture, computer went down. My payment went through but the transaction didn't. Instead of refunding me, they charged my card of everything I had left on my card, without telling me. So my card had a zero balance when I left there.
The furniture is beautiful! The sales representative was very helpful and professional. While I could not provide my credit card information over the phone, it was not a real inconvenience to go to the store to finish the transaction.
I bought a Queen Bed Frame + Mattress + Foundation + Mattress Protector in April, and paid more than $3000 for the set. They delivered a Queen frame, Full size Foundation and California King Protector. When I contacted them, they were rude, disorganized and unhelpful. Eventually I received the correct Foundation, but they forgot to send the correct Mattress Protector. It is now June 1st, and I still to this day have not received the right Mattress Protector. When I call, they deliberately keep me on hold and don't answer my call. When I go into the store in person, Ken the Store Manager hides in the back and avoids me, and pretends he is "busy with other customers". All of the staff treat me like I'm a difficult customer, when I just want to make sure I get the item I paid for. Every time I speak to them, Ken the store manager estimates a different day that the Mattress protector will be delivered, and nothing gets delivered - this has happened 4 times now. I will never buy something from this Ashley Furniture store again, they will do or say whatever they can to get your money and then they will treat you like dirt, and if they screw up your order they will not help you. The staff who work here think that they are good people, but they are simply taking advantage of you.
We were lucky enough to work with Chantel again. She helped us with our bedroom set about a year ago and today she helped us with a new couch! Great customer service and she helped us be on time to my sons Open House!
Michael Peterson at the Ashley store in Colma gave me spectacular customer service on May 15. He was attentive, polite, well dressed, and he was methodical. I received some of the best customer care that I've ever had in my entire. I also spoke to another customer service associate and they were polite and professional as well. My furniture arrived on time and the delivery men were efficient and they did everything that was promised in the paperwork. 1. Shop at the Ashley store in Colma. 2. Ask for Michael P. as your sales representative because he is genuine, authentic and he goes the extra mile for his customers. Thank you!

Okay so where do I start I purchased a recliner and sofa loveseat in the beginning of April so it's only been roughly 30 days not having it for only 9 days the lever on my sofa broke so it took them 2 weeks to come out then the technician told me they had to order a part so then it took them another week and a half to have someone come out to put the part in but come to find out when they came last Friday to fix it they didn't need the part the first technician ordered then what do you know today I'm sitting on my sofa and the lever does not work again it's only been 4 days since the technician came out to fix it and I've only had this sofa for a month. I will never purchase anything from this company again and I will be paying off my bill and closing my account. I don't recommend anybody buying anything from this company they're not even worthy of the one star that I'm giving them but it's the only way I can post a review. Okay I told you I'd be back it's only been 9 days maybe 10 since I got my couch fixed and now the other side will not close it opens but it will not close I do not recommend this company for anybody to furnish in their house the quality of products suck I will be asking for full refund on my couches cuz I don't have the time to call and wait for repairman every week to come and fix the next problem
The Sales Associates that I encountered; Andres, Rose and Moussa (the Manager) were all welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful and kind-hearted people. Upon my return to the store, Andres was unavailable due to a personal issue and Rose stepped in to close the deal. I hit a couple of roadblocks with pieces that were not available for a couple of weeks, so Rose made some suggestions to fill in the gaps. All in all, collectively, all of these great people, with their knowledge & expertise, created a seamless furniture shopping experience. I appreciate them all.
Worst service ever !! I have been buying Ashley’s products for a few years now across different states, and I have to say the recent service for a couch purchased from this store is a testament to Ashley’s degrading customer service ! They take good care of you until an item is purchased but when they delivered a defective item and I immediately raised a ticket with their help portal (which is a complete waste of time) I have received no help !! They sent a technician a month after I raised a concern and the technician agreed there was an issue with Couch and claimed someone from Ashley will contact me regarding next steps ! But of course no one did and when I contacted them they claim the technician “forgot” to put in notes and that they have to send another technician whose earliest availability is 7 weeks later ! It’s a joke and I highly recommend you shop for furniture elsewhere or at the least another Ashley store !
I had such a great experience shopping at Colma Ashley. After going to many furniture store without any lock, we went to Ashley and were shocked with all the choices that we had. First of all, there were so many experience sales people there to help the Customers. We went there not knowing if we could find the furnitures we were looking for and we were surprised seeing all the variations of furnitures. We ended up buying all the items we were looking for which were a memory foam bed, a sofa, a dining table and a coffee table. The young sales person Andreas was so nice and knowledgeable about all the items that we ended up buying all we needed. The manager Ken was even nicer by giving us a very nice discount and made us very happy.
Me and daughter went to look for a dresser for her room on 4/13/2022. Evelyn was the sales person that helped us at Colma, Ca location, she was very pushy for the sale. After looking for a good 15 minutes we found something my daughter liked. The total came out to $800 plus, shipping was $129. I requested curbside drop off for free delivery manager was very very rude and would not allow the free curbside drop off and also would not honor 10% discount with the code I had. Evelyn and the manager looked money/commission hungry. I decided not to proceed with the transaction. Came home and placed the order online, got free shipping and got 10% off and the order total was $494. I would never go back to the store at Colma. They are rude, unprofessional and money hungry. The manager should get fired for being rude and unprofessional.

I was in the market for a couch and was scouring the internet and various stores in the area for the perfect one. I didn't want to buy one offline because I wasn't able to sit on it before. I found the perfect couch at Ashely homestore called "The Tilney". It is a fairly large modular couch. Super comfortable and spacious. David T. was my associate and his manger Ken worked with me to help me find and purchase my dream couch. It was a seamless process. I was able to set my delivery time and it came as expected. I couldn't be happier or recommend them more!

Service was good. However, look for furniture pieces on line then go to showroom. We went to showroom with on line prices + 10٪ off and even though the showroom prices were higher, they gave us the on line price and the 10% off. They will always match the lower prices.

Unless you pick up your furniture from the store or get it delivered immediately, do NOT wait for an item to come in and get delivered. We ordered a desk and chair in October and were told end of February. NO communication on the extension of the chair. I understand COVID delays. But the desk was in stock and they would not deliver. When I canceled the chair they told me to call back in a few days and see ab out when they could deliver the desk. After almost another month I will finally get my desk...
First the couch we bought is amazing which is why the two stars. Secondly, my couch while it did arrive on time it came with two defects on one of the wedges. When I called Ashley's customer service was able to get a date for two weeks out. However, never received any messages or updates and thus apparently was skipped and now have to wait another two weeks for service. Finally, when purchasing the couch the agent was not very knowledgeable or forthcoming. Then when checking out was asked the same question serval times, after giving an answer.
This was the first time entering the Ashley store. I was pleasantly surprised. I was welcomed by Chantell, very personable and welcoming. Ashley store has a wide variety of furniture ie sofas, desks, bedroom sets, bookcases tables, chairs. Since I was browsing with no pressure, I was happy to see a variety of beautiful wall art. I bought a set of four framed botanical pictures. Perfect! Just what I was looking for! I woould return if any furniture is needed in the future.
READ IT ALL BELOW!! THERE ARE NO RETURN AND REFUND IN ANY SITUATION INCLUDING BROKEN ITEMS!!! This complain is for the sales manager (a Latino guy), general manager (an Africian American guy) and the sale representative David (an Asian guy) at Ashley Furniture at Colma store. Story is this: My Order was place on 11/13/21 in store. They said the items are in back order. Ok, fine. Two and a half months later. I received my two table lamps on 1/30/22. They were dropped off at my front door from a warehouse by three delivery guys without wearing masks. I refused them to come inside my house. Same night I opened the boxes and found out both lights are damaged. Called customer service on 1/31/22. Got a case# on the phone. They said someone will contact me in 48 hours for scheduling a pickup for my broken lamp return but never received an email or call back. 5 days later 2/4/22 I called again and now they told me to bring them to the store and I can get the refund from the store. I was told by the rep on the phone that my request of return still good because I reported it to them within 72 hours per purchase agreement. I brought the broken lights into the store. The sales and the general manager refused to give me a refund because they said they sent me a replacement which I never agreed with and I passed the 72 hours window. I filed a complain with their district manager and hopefully I will get a respond to get my refund back. Now you see that the ppl in the store will make up lots of b.s. excuses to void your return and refund. The salesperson named David who was acted very nice at the first begin when I walked in and purchase my furniture back in November 2021. Today he ignored me totally throughout the whole time I was in the store even though he was just walk around. He realized that I came back today for return stuff because I was holding two boxes with me. He saw me and walk passed by me but never offer to help me for the refund process. Not even saying a "hi". Now you can tell he just care about the sales. His friendliness was all acted. He didn't care about the customers after the sales are done. Tried to avoid eyes contact with me. My tips to you are: 1. Shop and purchase at other furniture stores and use Ashley as a place just to have a feel of the furniture only. 2. If you have to buy it from Ashley, BUY IT ONLINE ONLY. You will never be able to get your refund no matter what if you purchase in store plus you get a MUCH CHEAPER price online. 3. Always use credit card so that you can file a credit card dispute if they refuse to give you a refund. 4. Chose the "purchase and sales" option on the phone if you want to reach someone in store right away. You will be on hold on the phone forever with no one pick up the phone because they just care about the sales phone calls. 5. Fully trust the bad reviews about Ashley Furniture in Colma because they are all REAL. Conclusion: This little $224.98 plus taxes lamps totally ruined the business reputation and I think this money real worth it to teach me a lesson about how a shady and scamming sales store looks like in real life. I really hope the team in Ashley Furniture in Colma will be able to see this. Oh well, they will not feel shame anyway.

On my visit in the store , early December I purchased a wall decoration, which I could have easy carried out of the store, but was told it had to be delivered, I had to sign a lots of receipts, why since I was just purchasing a item that was already in the store, I was told I would have the item within a week, I waited two weeks, tried calling the Colma store, waiting on the line for over thirty minutes, from a remote areas, just to be told it would take another 10 days for me to receive my item and that it was in transit. Its only took me 5 minutes to return to store to find out my items were still on the wall, after explaining my situation to customer service, they could not understand why. So I had to repurchase the item and request a refund for the one I was waiting for, this time I was able to take it with me. It was easier and faster to order online then to purchase in the store. What a nightmare?
Terrible Customer Service as far as follow up and follow through! No delivery on given delivery date. Stayed home 4 times for them to end up telling I didn’t have a delivery as if I gave myself my own delivery. Items on back order can take way longer then they actually tell you. They will tell 3 weeks out at most when it’ll actually be months. Go over paperwork and make sure delivery address is correct and if you have to make any changes make sure EVERY TIME you speak to them! Somehow my delivery address was changed throughout the process. I got partial of my order which they won’t tell you they can do ( they’ll just keep pushing your whole delivery out until they have EVERYTHING in your order. I at least wanted my daughters bed and dresser after waiting since September…. The chest and nightstand can wait, I may actually cancel the rest because dealing with them is a headache! I feel like I need to be compensated at this point having to chase my order around smh. I did get a store credit but it honestly has been a total unpleasant experience. && everyone is so non chalant! Probably about 2/10 representatives REALLY care and 1 is just telling you anything in a sweet voice. They just want to make the sale! Wish I stayed at Ashley’s in Emeryville which is where I went initially! Never Again 👎

Expensive, they are more caring about getting customers than actually helping. The insurance is a lie they always say its not cover. I bought a sofa that cost me 1400 3 months ago and the spring it’s already making noise like an old bed. The sellers will not explain to you what is made of etc.
Went to buy chair. Had on web site. Lady gave me for the same price even though it was more expensive. Very nicely arranged and she asked others when she needed help. Good delivery and put up.
Unfortunately, our experience was awful. We made purchased of multiple items and was told that the expected delivery date within 6 weeks. The sale person Everlyn S. told us that she would try to call the warehouse and see if they could deliver the items to us sooner. 6 conversations with Customer Support later (both online and with the store's representatives), we were told that one of the items wont be delivered for another 3-4 months. We tried to reach out to Everlyn, no response. We tried to request for a partial deliver but couldn't get a straight answer. The delivery date kept changing every time we called. No email communication for any of these changes. It was very unprofessional and irresponsible.

Andres was a pleasure to work with. He assisted my husband and I in purchasing a dining table we had our eyes on for a while. He was patient and kind and provided excellent customer service and walked us through the payment with ease. We are really happy with our purchase, it’s a beautiful table made of solid wood and the quality is up to par as what you’d see at such places like West Elm but at a much more reasonable price! Chantell Ramsey was the salesperson that really stood out when I entered the store, so when it came down to making my decision I went looking for her. She was providing a group of people with all the answers to their several questions when I found her and it didn't feel as though she was chasing a sale, just simply helping people and I was happy to wait my turn. When we went over the numbers of my bill I declined the 5 year protection plan because I always think that added protection is a waste of money, but when she broke it down to me in an honest way, I got the insurance and now I feel like I'll be able to enjoy my couch even more without the fear of ruining it and having to buy a new one. Rose, whom I was working with was very kind, showing us great costumer service and knew exactly what we were looking for. We had a good time there, learning the different brands and details of each item we observed and had the pleasure of trying it out before any final decisions were made. On top of it all we were able to have assistants of finance through Acima. Overall our experience there was great and hope to shop there soon.
It was my first time shopping at Ashley HomeStore and it was a great experience. Black Friday the staff were extremely welcoming and our salesperson Vivian was the best. She was warm, kind, knowledgeable about the furniture that we wanted to purchase and she made the whole sales transaction extremely easy for us. On top of that she explain the discount we were getting and explained about the product that we were purchasing. The manager was extremely nice as well we did not catch his name but they all made this whole purchasing experience such a great and positive experience I would go back and purchase things at this Ashley's home store.
Great service at showroom. Had issues with mattress and electric baseboard, manager and the young lady who helped us, helped us to make it right. And they did and customer service helped too. It took an extra week, but we are now sleeping good

I worked Chantell and Ken for a power reclining sofa, and it was probably the best shopping experience I have had for furniture. I came with a budget and left just shy of the budget due to their willingness to help me out. Seriously, these two have amazing patience and we’re very easy to talk to. I know where I will be going for my next furniture buy!
Mark it up to mark it down. They try to make you feel like your getting a great deal. I could not make a purchase here. I wanted to avoid a high delivery fee and asked to pick up my item or have it shipped to the store. I was told their warehouse is in Stockton, so I would have to pay for delivery and no other option. I declined the purchase over the delivery fees. Ashley Homestead does have a large selection of home furnishing though.
My experience at Ashley's furniture was absolutely wonderful. Evelyn and Ken were so professional and helpful, answered all my questions. And were very attentive to my needs. Evelyn helped me with suggestions when asked never overwhelming and pushy. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy furniture.
It was an extremely tragic experience. On August 27, the day the TV cabinet arrived, we asked for a refund because the TV cabinet was damaged. They gave us a total of 11 times Pick up date. But every time they don't come under various excuses. The strangest thing is that they said they couldn't find the address. How do you find the address when you deliver the goods? You can find my home address on Google maps. We are only 750 meters from the Ashley store where we buy the goods. Buy furniture in Ashley and return it to Afghanistan. If you want to buy furniture in Ashry, please do not return, do not return, do not return.

Planned to buy two bedside tables and a tv stand cause they had an awesome sale. However, we could not shop alone and an associate “Sylvia” would not leave us alone and tailed us with questions. We asked her to stop cause we wanted to shop alone and if we found anything we would look for her. Sylvia continued her pursuit while trying to sell us on anything we walked by. We felt harassed and decided to leave the store. Maybe their sales tactic is why the parking lot is also so empty even with their extended sale going on.
Seamless, We wanted couches, they showed us couches, they explained the discounted displayed, they explained the product insurance (which we bought). The sales person was very nice and the manager closed the deal as he understood what we are looking for and we trusted his pricing and his understanding in furniture. Delivery arrived timely and service was perfect, clean and respectful. We made the right move buying at the Ashley Homestore and I trust and recommend the store. Michael

Terrible customer service. So much back and forth. David the GM along with Ken acted as if customer is all in the wrong. Delivery left a mess in front of my house. No shoe coverings. No mask. Even when asked upon. Ashley GM states it’s not required and delivery isn’t made by Ashley employees. Top that off while in store to talk about my services seems like I’m not the only person to complain. Never again dealing with this location and possibly Ashley furniture in general. Better off going to Living Spaces or Amazon.

When we walked in the store we were greeted by Vivian. Wonderful person that made us feel so welcome. The manager was great as well. They did not pressure us to buy anything. We found what we wanted. Overall our experience couldn't be any better.
We had a great shopping experience ...our sales person , Michael, was helpful, patient, listened carefully to us and helped us find just what we needed. We happended upon their 50% off sale and were able to purchase our furniture for a truly amazing price. I highly recommend this store and our sales person, Michael, was a delight.

My wife and I had such a poor experience with Ashley Furniture. We purchase 4 beds, a sofa, a loveseat and an ottoman. We were told the delivery would come in 6 weeks. We received the beds, the delivery team - was not wearing masks in my house - forgot a bed, I was on the phone for an hour before I was able to get the fourth When they did this so poorly we thought to check on the sofas... the status had changed to pick up to the warehouse. So we called again... instead of 6 weeks, the order would take 26 weeks... YES, next year... AND THEY DID NOT EVEN CALL TO TELL US THIS. So we went back to the store in Colma and it was a big waste of time. I can't recommend Ashely Furniture and the terrible service we experienced.
This place is a JOKE! the only reason ill give it a couple stars is because Silvia the lady who is a saes person, shes a friendly warm soul who helped me there. but the manager David is something else, we went to buy a matress and a bedroom set with 4 pcs, when we decided to go and checkout he offers me a matress cover saying that it wil cover my matress from damages and he also said that if i dont have it the waranty was not gona cover anything, i said no thank you, i dont need it, he said why? and i said because i dont want it, he said you're gonna regret about this, and i said no thank you again, then everything happens, he starts to make excuses for me about the stuff, he said that the billing address on my card has to match with my delivery address, then he charges me $400+ ridiculos fee for delivery and tax when at the beginning he told me was gonna be free or maybe $50 bucks, OKAY? at the beginning i asked if i can use my husbands ashley credit card to buy anything he said of course, then he said my husband needs to be there, at the end i didn't but anything from there and i run to the emeryville store to spend $2200 dollars in cash ☺️ listen, im a pretty easy customer, but dont lie to me to make me buy something that i dont want, if they would tell me, hey you know your husband needs to be here to buy or something reasonable i would be like you know ill pay cash, but this guy i dont understand hows he been there for a long time if he has HORRIBLE reviews on yelp. i think saes persons needs to respect what you want or what dyou dont want. my sister ordered a set of living room furniture a month ago, she's still waiting for the missing pieces as a rug and another thigs. JUST DONT GO THERE AND GO TO THE EMERYVILLE STORE INSTEAD, THEY ARE MORE FRIENDLY AND MORE PATIENT AND MORE RESPECTFUL
These MFers are unbelievable! We paid to have this delivered and assembled. It's been over a month, 5 separate assemblers, we've had to take time off of work to meet them, and this is its current state. We asked for a refund and for them to take it back as it isn't assembled yet and my nephew is sleeping on the mattress on the ground and can't use his room yet. They offered to pick it up and give a $200 refund for this bed around $1,500. They have one more attempt booked. Attempt 6. If it isn't right, we'll be contacting 7 on your side and other consumer advocates. I think we've been more than patient enough.

Wow, in my whole entire life I have never had any such a BAD experience with furniture company except for Ashley. We bought a bed set the it was not cheap, 3 days after it broke. And this HORRIBLE company had been lying to us for 4 consecutive months telling that they will come to fix it then canceled. A month ago, they SCHEDULED to get it fixed it today again, and again they CANCELED

I purchased a couch on 7/13/2021,Shirin was great he helped me with the purchase. My delivery date was set for 07/21/2001. He informed me if a earlier date opens a email will be sent to you. The following day I recieved a email stating a earlier date was open and if I would like it to reply, so I did. After that I recieved a email confirmation for Saturday 07/17/21. On saturday I called Ashley's in colma and the lady i spoke to confirmed the delivery was on schedule and would arrive between 3 and 7pm. Needless to say it never arrived,no email and not even a phone call. I went to Ashley's the follow day to see what happened. The original salesperson that helped me was not there so I asked to speak to the manager. He asked me what was the issue so I let him know my order was a no show, he asked to see my receipt he looked at it and said your delivery is on tuesday 7/21/21 it says so on you receipt and on our records. So I replied by saying I recieved 2 email confirming a earlier date witch was yesterday. (David abelson) was the managers name then replied by saying to me (sir your lying to me,stop lying to me and making up.false dates so you can cancel the order, so stop insulting me) He continued to call me a liar and insult me in front of his coworkers and customers. I truly hope someone in corporate reads this because this is how a manger in one of your locations is conducting business. Shame on you David Abelson. If you look on yelp reviews for Ashley's in colma 280 metro center, I posted a email showing the delivery date of 7/17/21 that he would have seen if just would have taken the time to ask instead of insulting me.

This company is extremely unresponsive to shipping of defective product. My purchase was of a power lift chair bought in december 2019. The chair gives electric shocks to all who sit in the chair from static electricity. The material of which the chair is made is the source of the electric shocks. I first complained to Ashley after delivery in early 2020. I was deferred due to the pandemic. I called again months later and was referred to the 'protection plan' I had purchased with the chair. That was a referral to another company (Protect All). That, their 'best protection plan' does not handle manufacturer defects. Back to Ashley furniture. I have called them many times, long holds and very frustrating. They say they will look into it and get back to me. Nothing has happened in 18 months and the chair has never been used due to its electrocutions. Very poor company for customer treatment. Dont use this company!.

I would say the negative reviews are accurate and consistent in regards to the customer service. First, let's start with the store: The associates seem nice but when it comes to product knowledge or inventory they are clueless. They do seem to be pushy, especially when it comes to delivery. They wanted an additional $180 for "white glove" delivery. The manager, who apparently has to approve EVERY transaction because of the discounts, was relentless with delivery. I asked him why I would spend more for delivery when I was already spending so much for the furniture in the first place. He actually said, "Don't you want to guarantee safe delivery of your new couch? Besides, if you don't pay for the white glove service and a part is missing or delivered damaged, you'll have to drive everything back to Stockton yourself." I looked at him and asked him, "Doesn't Ashley sell quality products? Do they hire bad drivers? If I'm having to question the delivery based upon whether I spend more for delivery or not then maybe I shouldn't buy from Ashley in the first place. Total scam. Anyways, I decline the white glove service and the ridiculous add-on warranty (another scam). My delivery was set for April 22 (we went into the store on March 22...yes a month long wait because it was on back order) but were okay with it at the time. It gave us time to make arrangements for the removal of our old furniture. April 22 arrives and no phone call. We called the 800 number and they informed us that our couch was on back order and wouldn't arrive for another month! No courtesy phone call to give us a heads up or anything. They said if we had an issue with it we'd have to contact the store. Horrible customer service. I called the store and spoke with a salesperson. I explained the situation and told them I wanted to cancel my order. The salesperson tried talking me out of it and when I said my mi d was already made up, she said she couldn't cancel the order, one the manager could. Of course. She also said the manager was busy and could call us back. I told her to either get the manager on the phone now or I'm coming down to the store. After about a15 minute wait the manager finally got on. I explained to him the story (third time I had to retell the story) and told him just to cancel it. He offered me an additional $200 off. Now wait...where was that discount when he was asking me about delivery? Anything to save a transaction I guess. Scam. I told him I was insulted by the offer and to cancel my order. He said okay. As he was canceling the order he actually asked me if anything had been delivered. His exact words were, "So, are you sure nothing was delivered?" I asked him, "You're kidding me, right? You think I'd waste my time with all of this if something was delivered?" He finished up the cancellation and I received an email shortly after. He did apologize, which was fine even though I know it wasn't his fault directly or the stores....unless of course they weren't honest with me in the first place and lied about the original date of delivery (which, after reading numerous reviews here, is very possible). Looooong story short: Bad customer service + delayed/back order fiasco = Horrible experience I can't recommend Ashley Furniture in Colma after the nightmare we went through.

Always great service. Getting my new mattress soon. Will do a review. I bought a sofa, love seat from Ashley’s and it lasted 20+ years well made furniture. I’m finally going to part with it. The frame is still wonderful, solidly made. It’s the pillows that have gone. So I’ll be shopping soon for a living room set. I’m confident it will last long because all the kiddies have moved out lol! I Recommend this company. I’ve had the the Bonita Spring plush mattress for a few months now and “drum beat” It’s just Heavenly! I feel like I’m floating in the universe when I’m asleep. I have back pain and neck pain. I advise a ergonomic pillow. The bed 🛌 is wonderful! I have no pain while I’m sleeping. I wish I could stay in the bed forever! I love it! I advise Anyone to get it. It came flat rolled up. I didn’t think it was going to work. But an hour later I was in heaven and every night since then. Get the bed! I don’t wake up in pain. Get the mattress. I haven’t regretted it. Thanks Ashley.
It's a fraud. They have horrible furniture and they have horrible service. They don't do refunds or exchanges. When you complain they laugh in your face. They are all working for the commission and they don't care about their customers.

This has been the worst purchasing experience of my life. I ordered a couch, a tree and a rug on Feb 9 and was told the items would be delivered by April 3rd. Here comes April 3rd. No call. No delivery. No couch. Ok, that's fine. So I call the store. I'm told that the rug has been discontinued, the plant has been delivered and the couch would be arriving at the warehouse in two weeks, and then, "idk how long after that it will take to be delivered". First: the plant was not delivered. The representatives at the store want to argue about it, to which point I notified them that I have a ring doorbell and literally have video footage of the front door for the entire day. After that revelation, all of a sudden they find that the tree actually wasn't delivered. But now, instead of it being able to be delivered as was paid for, now I have to drive to the store to pick it up. So I finally get a delivery date of April 21st for the couch. On April 19th, a representative calls me and confirms that it would be delivered on wednesday (21st). I was told that the following day a delivery window would be established in a follow-up call. On tuesday, Ashley calls and follows up confirming the delivery window. Ok, all good. Wednesday comes around and, No call, NO DELIVERY.. When I call the store, I'm told that no one knows anything about anything it will probably be delivered the following week.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Literally at this point you couldn't pay me to ever work with this company again. Save yourself the time and energy. BUY SOMEWHWRE ELSE
First of all let me start off by saying that I bought a full size bedroom set for my son back in October 2020. Within the first two weeks we noticed that the bed was extremely squeaky, to the point where my son would get so irritated and would be woken up by the noise and ended up pulling his mattress off the bed and onto the floor. We have had a total of three technicians come over to the house to look to see what the problem is and they all said that the box spring was no good. They mentioned that they would be sending in a request for us to have a new one sent to us, but you are disappointment it was never taken care of and Ashley never bothered to once return our calls. It was extremely difficult to call their call center and actually get through. I was not once successful in getting through.Finally six months later we were told that we would get the boxspring delivered on April 28, but we have yet to see if they will deliver on their promise. Stay away from Ashley if you can.If I can give zero stars I would, horrible customer service.

It's like you'd expect. The staff is friendly/helpful depending on who you get. They do when on commission so be prepared to get offered crazy discounts on hypothetical "standard" prices. I paid $900 for furniture after $2k in savings. I wish they were upfront about their prices but it is what it is. Be aware of the price you're willing to pay and forget about all the stories. 3 starts because they really should simplify the experience in the age of Amazon and Wayfair.

I came into the store knowing exactly what I wanted and the final total. the manager was trying to force other things on me I didn't want. then when I told him never mind ill take my business else where he got nice and said I'll throw in free shipping. when online said free shipping anyway ashley furniture in daly city off Colma has very bad customer service.
The sales people we talk to were knowledgeable friendly and extremely helpful. I enjoyed the fact there were no pushy sales people trying to get me to buy something that wasn't right for me. The merchandise selection was excellent and the shopping experience was very enjoyable.

I had the best experience when purchasing new sofas from Ashley at the Metro Center. Management was very reassuring about the delivery process and their customer service.
I was told my new couch would be delivered in 6 weeks, and maybe less, when I bought and paid for it in early February 2021. Six weeks later I called and I was told that they had no idea when it would arrive in the warehouse, but that their best guess was a mid-April delivery, a full eight weeks after I paid for it. I would not have bought it had I been told that it would take this long, and I imagine their management knows that. I started writing this review as I've been on hold for over 30 minutes waiting for a supervisor to take my call so I can escalate for a resolution. It took ten minutes for the first person I talked to pick up the phone when I first called at 1pm on a Thursday. I'm actually now live-reviewing my experience in the hopes that somebody at Ashley HomeStore actually reviews this and responds. D'Ariel is who helped me first and was very friendly and patient, and she created a case number for me for my unknown deliver date a month-and-a-half after I paid for it. I thanked her for her help and suggested that she might want to start looking for a new job, because businesses that operate this poorly are usually going out of business. We still have furniture to buy for our bedroom and dining room, but we're not going to spend a single dollar here ever again. I encourage you to shop somewhere else yourself. D'Lecia was the supervisor who was supposed to pick up the phone; it took 42 minutes before I was transferred to her finally, but was then put on hold again and sent to Angela, another customer service person. I was put on hold again after 47 minutes, and then the salesperson who originally sold me the couch, Michael, answered after 50 minutes. Michael remembered me, I explained what was happening and that I was very upset. Ken was the manager who finally addressed my concern once Michael escalated to him. He told me that my deliver date was April 16th, more than two months after I paid for my couch. Ken blamed Coronavirus for the trouble and delays, and then told me that he would give me a $100 gift card if I came into the store to retrieve it. I explained to Ken that did not want to come into the store, he asked me why not, and then I told him that Coronavirus, like he just mentioned, was the reason. He said he could not waive the delivery fee I had paid for, but would credit my account $50. All in all I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get this resolved. I will not be spending another penny at this store ever again, and I encourage you to go somewhere else as well.

Ashley stores are ok. The Manager at Ashley in Daly City, Colma area is incompetent and unfriendly. Avoid this one at all cost. I recomend the one in San Jose the Manager there is superstar. And also chex the one in Emeryville. Blessings.

I wanted to switch the type of delivery and wouldn’t do it over the phone because it would take too long so they requested I go in store. I said no I’ll cancel my order and then place it online. They made excuses of why they couldn’t cancel my order and it took three days for me to finally get in contact and actually cancel my order. Very unprofessional.

He was very friendly and knowledgeable; showing us the 2 couches we were interested in and also a couple of other options. The couch we initially wanted was too big for our space, so Shirin suggested one which was the one we ended up purchasing! We got a great deal and very happy with the experience in the store. The store manager, David, also came to talk to us - he was very personable and friendly. Would definitely recommend going here if you're in the marker for any type of furniture.
Ken and Chantell were wonderful very help without being pushy. The store was clean and well organized The staff practiced safety procedures and have a pleasant demeanor.

Update 12/31/20: We are on our 3rd replacement table. All were cracked. The company refuses to refund my money. Instead it has offered to exchange the table for other furniture. Needless to say I will never buy anything else from this business. Update 10/19/20 : I’m sorry I ever set foot in this store. The saga continues. They have finally sent a technician. The table is still broken. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to get the table replaced. Original review: Purchased a dining table set with white glove service. The set was delivered today, assembled by the white glove service. I have noticed a chip which the crew took a photo of and promised the store would call us in the next hour. Then I noticed a much larger crack on the surface of the table. When the store didn’t call as promised, I called and asked for the damaged table to be replaced. The store refused and are now making me go through a process where a technician tries to repair a brand new table. Definitely not the kind of service I would expect at this day and age.
My Mom and I were helped by some of the nicest people around -- David, Andreia, Evelyn, and Shirin. We've been coming to Ashley's in Daly City for four days and counting in the past few weeks because the quality of their furniture and the friendliness of their associates are TOP NOTCH. I'm happy that once the furniture are set in our new home, I'll be reminded of these awesome folks and the quality of their service.
Pushy sales at the front door, almost wanna walk away
I just bought a sofa a few days ago and when it was delivered they assembled it i notice theres a big gap in the middle and looks like 2 separate sofas connected together. I went back to the store and double check the sofa the one in the show room and it looks perfect. I bought it after thanksgiving and they have 50% off the entire store. Thats why its 50% off because theres Defects. Waste of $1,100. Customer service told me no return no exchange. Im so Disappointed.

This place is horrible!!! The customer service is awful. Have been calling for 4 days straight to talk to the store manager about an issue. Every time I call the person answering puts me on hold and then comes back on and says he’s busy with customers. Then they say they’ll send him an email about the issue and have him call me back! #1 why would you send him an email??? You’re in the same store and you know what the issue is. Why can’t you go and actually talk to him?? #2 the store manager has still not returned my phone calls. I’ve called for 4 days straight and left multiple messages. Still no call back. Wish I would have read the reviews on this store ahead of time. 2.5 stars and most complaints are about this unprofessional store manager! Will be filing a complaint with BBB and their corporate office.

Tried to scam us on there sale saying it&'s 50% off but then jacking up the original price to make it look like we are getting a discount. When confronted about it they said our online prices(Sale and Full price is different). Saw we were qualified for $$$$ of dollars in financing and tried to sale us $575 end table each, when we wanted one for $75 then told the $75 wasn&'t available.

I bought a Power Rocker chair in September, supposed to be delivered 10/22 but rescheduled for November 4. Even though it was supposed to have a battery backup, there wasn&'t one. You don&'t want to be in the inclined position when the power goes out! I went to the store today, November 19, and talked to Sales Manager Kourosh Sayyah. He went looking all over the store for similar chairs until he found a backup unit which he gave to me! Great customer service from Mr. Sayyah!

A disgrace to the term customer service. After countless hours on the phone and attempt to repair what was supposed to be a new table, but arrived damaged, Ashley Furniture agreed to send me a replacement which was also damaged in the exact same place, which I&'m starting to suspect is a flaw in production. The company never called to schedule a replacement as was promised by the delivery guys. I called and was on hold for 30 minutes listening to a recorded message explaining the higher than normal call volume recommending that I leave a voicemail and wait 48 hours for a callback. I chose to wait. Finally Shirley picked up, but when Shirley heard the saga, she just hung up on me. Needless to say I will never do business with this company and nor should you.

Please look out for prices online and don’t be fooled bye this place and there 50 percent off everything in store. Item was placed online for 1000 $ and 700 managers special. When check out came all of a sudden the item was 1600 . False advertisement and you have to pay for delivery fee and taxes up front as you can’t add to your finance. They will not honor or price match and they will lie to you. They have nice stuff but I would not recommend super over priced and marked up is ridiculous.

There are many people dying because of COVID-19, it common sense if my father fell off the bed and hurt his back because the bed fell apart I told help him moved the bed some place else" he said far beyond this but common! I purchased a living room set on July 3,2020 delivery date passed without delivery. I went to the store to check the manager explained the pandemic caused the delay. The manager gave a new date of Sept 14 and no delivery or call. Email any means of communicating the delivery was again delayed. I visited the store spoke to same manager for the second time requested cancellation. he reluctantly cancelled l the order and started the refund it will appear on my account within a week. I reached out to the bank asking if a refund was issued the bank representative said the computer showed the order was not cancelled, she advised I go to the merchant. To request cancellation. I now need to go back to the store for the 3rd time to request cancelation. The cancellation should have been completed the first time. In a time with a shelter in place ordinance. I am faced with going to the Ashley, again I give the customer service at the Colma Store an F++
Lies, deception, the car salesmen of furniture. Never keep promises, constantly push your order back. I'm SHOCKED they have this many stars. We waited 3 MONTHS to finally get our furniture!

This is my first time on this store. I like the ambiance, staff are all nice. Adrian was very helpful and suggests the best that fits your needs and budget. Ken and Angelina was very accommodating and friendly. I highly suggests. All the things I am looking for are here it exceeds my expectations at a very reasonable price. Came in today to find some couches I saw online. As soon as we arrived Evelyn greeted us and after we looked around and found the one we wanted she came over right away and assisted us! She was very friendly and knowledgeable and got us the best price for our sofa set! We will definitely refer anyone going to Ashley HomeStore to go work with Evelyn!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!! Was particularly came for LEATHER sleeping sofa! A Leather! If I need cheap made fiber sofa I wold not come to a company like this. They ruined my first furniture experience. The salesman name Evelyn was nice but no knowledge abt products just had me looked at the screen to choose my product. I ended up bought one from them even was just no different then online shopping when I went to their showroom to see& feel the materials. I waited for a month and a half, later on when the delivery date approached up DAVID( manger) called me and said it was discounted!! WTH! Months before you have no idea u selling discounted products? Make it short. I ended up looked at pic chose another. It came yesterday , due to brutal delivery, my sofa got screwed, have serval openings( will attach pics) my neighbor's door also got hit, so brutal delivery, they hit/ pushed/kicked into my house. Use a knife opened up the wrapping ( sofa got a cutter opening) I called the DAVID again. No solution ,only can go through find me a Technician to come to my house to fix no return no mercy empathy! Additionally I bought a five years warranty $130 , DAvid told me I can not call them by myself, only they can contact them ( save yourself $) . From the opening surface that sofa that I got is not real leather, is sth call PVC artificial material. PPL I warm you ! S T A Y A W A Y!!! They don't help you after they got your payment! NEVER come to this store! Terrible experience.

My new table was delivered today and I have discovered it was cracked. The store refused to exchange it with a new one, but instead they are now making me go through a process of scheduling a technician to try and repair the new(!) table.
I just love Ashley Homestore at Colma , CA. I got dining room furniture , bedroom furniture and today lamps .I probably could have found same furniture somewhere else, but I wouldn’t find costumers service as friendly, helpful and with a smile as here at Ashley. Thank You guys!!
If could give this place negative stars I would. Filter the reviews, read all the low rated ones and believe them, they are all TRUE. This place should be shut down, how they are in business is beyond me. The &"managers&" David and Ken just walk around with the title, but have no empathy towards their customers or care to help. This place is a complete SCAM! We came in on 9/1/20 looking for a specific sofa line. David &"Mr. Manager&" was the one that approached us asking if we needed help. I told him we had a 6pm appt. He asked our names and said he could help us. When I told him I was looking for the Darcy sofa, he gave me a strange look and asked why I wanted to see that line. I told him bc it looked nice from the website and my friend has it. He said they don&'t have it on display to show us and he doesn&'t think any of the other showrooms would have it bc it&'s &"on the cheaper end&". Like WHAT?! It&'s sold AT Ashley&'s Furniture, I didn&'t see it at the flea market (even though this place is worse than the flea market) and then came looking for it there. *Baffled* My husband and I seriously should have just turned around and left then and there. But David assured us that there are very nice sofas he can show us, &"for a good deal&". We walked around with him and he tried to pitch us every sofa under the sun. We finally broke free from him and wondered the store ourselves. That&'s when we saw a sofa we really liked. Mind you their price tag said $699, I decided to look on their website and the same sofa was $424. We found another lady named Evelyn and she said they can price match it for us. We ended up also ordering the matching chair. Delivery wasn&'t available until 9/30, so far out, but we really liked the set so we stuck with it. David had to come over and change the price for us and made a comment like, &"Oh, I don&'t like this price at all&". Awkward silence. We finished our transaction and headed out. Here&'s where things get messy. 2 days later we stop into Living Spaces to look for dining stuff. As we are walking around, I see a sofa that looks EXACTLY like the one we just purchased at Ashley&'s, I walk over to read the tag and its the SAME sofa, Altari line. The one displayed was a huge sectional so I go online to their website and see the same sofa we bought for $350!! Now imagine that, Living Spaces selling a sofa for $350 and Ashley&'s had a selling price tag in their store for $699!!! I immediately call the store to cancel my order and the run around begins. They tell me that I have to call back the next day and speak with David bc he&'s the store manager and Ken who was their at the time is only a &"sales manager&" and can&'t help me. Makes no sense to me, but I said fine and called the next day. I went home and placed the order with Living Spaces (they also have a cheaper delivery and set up fee + cheaper 5 year warranty). My total saving was over $200. The next day I called to speak w/David and he literally tries telling me Living spaces have a terrible warranty and they are never undersold by Living spaces, blah blah blah. I told him to please just cancel my order. He says he did and that I will get a call from their centralized office in 48-72 hours to confirm my return. I&'m like &"WHAT? Confirm my return, it&'s confirmed, I&'m telling you...just refund me&". He said he can&'t. I asked for a order cancellation confirmation and he said they don&'t have anything like that. This didn&'t sit right with me, so after a few hours I called their customer service line and spoke with a rep, she told me my order wasn&'t cancelled. AFTER THE STORE MANAGER TOLD ME HE CANCELLED IT!! This is the shadiness of this business. She transferred me to the store and of course David was unavailable, yet I could clearly hear him in the background telling the associate on the phone what to say to me. I left a message and hung up. Later that evening, Ken called my husband&'s phone and tried telling him the they can price match Living spaces price and they are lying and can&'t get the order to us before they can bc they get the furniture from them. MORE LIES! and all of a sudden Ken has &"manager authority&", but the day before his hands were tired?! Also, I thought our order was cancelled according to David so why are we even discussing price match?! I tell him to tell Ken, NO and we just want this order CANCELLED and refunded. He emails us a screenshot of our order that shows me nothing and I guess that&'s supposed to be their way of showing good faith. IDK! Anyway, A full week has gone by, still no call from the so called &"centralized office&", still no refund, just back and forth with the customer service reps + store associates and all I&'ve learned is that no one at Ashley&'s furniture knows how to do their job. I finally got fed up and filed a dispute claim with my bank for the amount that no one knows how to refund us. This place is as scummy as they get and the people that work here are as crooked as they come. You have been warned!
Hi I am going to give this place a 000 First of al I don&'t recommend no one to buy furniture from here. I order a love seat in July and 2 months later I still haven&'t got it yet.This is the first time I buy something from here and the last due to the manager not being honest about the delivery date They changed my delivery date 3 times and they keep giving me the round around.Don&'t order furniture from here unless you have patience to deal with them giving you the round around.
Very helpful , attentive and informative.. I can’t say enough about employees at Ashley store. I bought dining room set, and later I went back and bought bedroom set. Delivery guys were exceptional. I would recommend this store to everyone and I already did to my family and friends!
The staff, especially Tashara Benjsmin is friendly and helpful. She is very patient snd accommodating, we stayed in the store for six hours. We were able to buy things we’re supposed to buy in another store because of her, she is an asset in your store.
NEVER EVER SHOP HERE. My husband I recently visited this store for a dining table. Chantel was amazing, however, when she called her manager (Ken) to do a price match with their online prices, Ken was incredibly rude. He LITERALLY huffed and puffed during the entire transaction. He argued with me about pricing and was blatantly disrespectful. We spoke with the general manager and he gave us a $100 gift card for the store. I am never returning to this store to purchase anything. On top of this, we received our delivery and 4 parts were missing. Now we have to wait another week or so for the parts to come. Pure incompetence!
Great collection and excellent customer service . Chantel was very patient and did an excellent job show us all the items we were looking for . The manager, Ken also was kind and provided us with a great deal. Definitely recommend this store . Updated Review :However, the process of delivery and refund was painful. As it is they said the delivery for the furniture would take nearly 6 weeks which is understandable due to pandemic . But, they forgot to deliver two of the items ( memory foam pillow and a swivel chair ) . Had to go back and forth to the store . Ended up cancelling both the items . And customer service number is useless ! It takes 20+ mins to be able to talk to a representative .

We had such a great experience the past two times we’ve visited Ashley furniture in Colma. Tashara was warm and welcoming and helped us immediately. She answered all of our questions, was patient with us in our decision making, and flexible in the negotiation of pricing. We will definitely be back for our next furniture purchase!

My husband and I recently purchased our first home and decided to basically get all new furniture. During this very stressful time we turned to Ashley's. Wewanted to go here since we purchased a beautiful, comfy bed about a year ago. We were paired with a sales Associate named Tashara who was amazing!! She allowed me to articulate our needs and delivered! We purchased quite a bit and felt she was very easy to work with and informative. Both of her managers were amazing and accommodating as well. We will be back for sure for our future purchases!
This is the absolute worst company I've ever seen. The sales reps harass you constantly, and then are somehow constantly unavailable to actually help you complete a purchase I ordered a sofa and an ottoman from them, waited 3 weeks for delivery, and then they stood me up. I got a call the day before telling me my delivery window, and then nobody ever showed up. I had to call and wait on hold for an hour to find out they had discontinued what I ordered, and would never be able to deliver. And the worst part? There's still more than $1k in pending charges against my credit card
We just walked out of the store feeling humiliated. The store manager was extremely rude. We had an appointment for 7pm. They kicked us out of the store in 10 minutes saying they are closing and accounting team needs to finish up. They lost our business.
Ashley not only damaged my home on delivery, but also broke the furniture they are delivering. They will not repair the hole in the wall and will not return calls. I declined the dresser that was damaged on delivery an they also will not reschedule a delivery of a replacement. So I do not even have all of the products that I have already paid for.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. They causes hundreds of dollars of damage to my home and will not even give me all of the furniture that I have already paid for
I am very disappointed in this store. Won't recommend this to anyone. Won't go back to this store ever again. We purchase furnitures from this store. At first I was impress cause delivery of my recliners were fast. Then here comes the promise date of my dinning tables, chairs and side table. Called me in advance and was told items are in back order and push delivery 3 weeks. Spoke with store manager and assured me that my items will be delivered July 21. He even ask me to choose the day. I work 6 days a week and the day off that I have which is a Monday, they don't deliver. I was told it's inventory day and no one does delivery that day. Here comes again the promise date. Friday got a call from one of their representative that Tuesday July 21 they are going to deliver. I even got a text message that delivery is coming. But, there was no time estimate. So, I called work that I can't come. Called customer service on the day promise to get an ETA if the delivery. I found out that there's NO delivery coming. Called customer service again and was lucky enough I spoke with Cody who called me Friday that delivery is coming. He was surprised when he open our account that it was cancelled and notes he put was deleted. Cody was very apologetic and he scheduled my delivery for July 22. He even called me twice and confirmed that it's coming and gave me a time. Waited and waited and called customer service and found out NO delivery is coming. I didn't work for 2 days because of Ashley's promises. NO DELIVERY CAME. Not even a notice to inform us what's goin on. They just made us wait and wait. Also the manager of Colma store is very rude. He even told me to find a way to be at home to accept the delivery. So I did my part not going to work but they did not fulfill their promise.
I was a customer before at Ashley HomeStore at the Bay Shore location San Francisco. I remember I went so many places due to my pickiness, so I end up buying all my furnitures at Ashley, and I was assisted with the Sales Rep. I believed Ashley Furniture is the largest furniture and number one in America, they have so many varieties, unique style, elegant, good quality, and good prices comparing others... So now the new Ashley in Colma got so many newest styles, and absolutely I will replace and upgrade my oldest Furnitures for years to the latest styles...
COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.This review is for the online ordering process and likely the worst customer service I&'ve ever encountered.My wife and I started looking for a couch back in the beginning of March, but once the COVID-19 crisis intensified and quarantine restrictions were implemented, we understood supply lines would be hit hard and figured it would be tough to find anything for a while. We checked periodically over the next few months, but the items we wanted were always out of stock. Finally, they were listed as available for order in May and we placed our order with a 4 week delivery time. While we waited, we had a few questions about the delivery process, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to speak with anyone or get any answers. We tried calling, e-mailing, and using the online chat feature, but none of our attempts were successful in speaking to someone.When the delivery date rolled around, I first received a confirmation that our items would be delivered and then a few hours later, a notice that our delivery was postponed with no reason why. After multiple calls to their customer service line and hours spent on hold, we received various reasons why our delivery was postponed (COVID-related delays, problems with the delivery company, and that our item was damaged).Whatever the reason may have been, we were repeatedly assured that our items were still coming, but that it would be an additional month wait. While we were extremely frustrated with the process so far, we decided to wait for the new delivery date. When that came a month later, we once again received a confirmation that our delivery would arrive between 8AM-12PM the following day. We were cautiously optimistic we would finally receive our couch!And of course, we were wrong again. The morning of the scheduled delivery, the tracking info for the delivery team was not valid and no one showed up. After waiting until 1PM, we once again called their customer service line and were forced to wait on hold for a few hours and be transferred around to 6 different reps. While none of them caused this issue, they seemed uninterested in solving anything and were completely clueless about how to help. When we finally spoke to a supervisor after hours of struggling, we were informed that the reason we didn&'t receive our shipment........was because the items were DISCONTINUED.That&'s correct, we went through this ordeal for FOUR months and countless hours of wasted time for them to not even realize they were selling us an item that they didn&'t even make anymore. I couldn&'t be more frustrated or exasperated with a company than I am now. We filed a complaint with the supervisor we last spoke with, but it was clear it went in one ear and out the other. As someone who has worked in customer service roles in multiple jobs, it&'s mind-blowing that a major corporation could be so inept in their processes. Stay away from this company at all costs and take your business to some place that will actually value it.

We waited 3 months for a new sofa with 2 delivery dates in the books (confirmed and all), both which ended with our order somehow being cancelled. The first time it happened in June, it was the day of the delivery, everything was confirmed the previous day and then no one showed up. We got mixed messages that our product never shipped to the warehouse, that only one piece made it, and/or that the product was damaged. So we waited another month which brings us to today... same thing, order was confirmed, delivery time was set, and again, no one showed up. After HOURS placed on hold waiting to talk to reps (I got transferred to 6 different reps btw), who were polite but completely clueless, I was finally able to speak to a supervisor just to tell us that our product is no longer manufactured. Why are you scheduling AND CONFIRMING delivery dates and times then if you don't even have our product?????? Thanks for wasting 3 months of our time by making us wait for a product you don't even carry. Even though we ordered it online and it clearly said IN STOCK.
I purchased an outdoor sectional, and was helped by Aleim Alavez. He was very polite and knowledgeable about the product. I was very pleased with the service. The manager David Abelson was also very helpful. I would definitely go back.

We made an appointment to go in and browse and take a look at some options, about 20 minutes into our hour session the rep comes up and says if we aren't buying anything then the manager wanted us to leave so someone else could come in. We had an hour long appointment, but after being asked to leave since we weren't buying right this second we left and decided we wouldn't be buying anything from that store. Terrible.

Never did I think, I would have so many issues with this company. I purchased a bedroom set with a mattress. My mattress feels like rock, giving me the worst back pain ever. I haven't enjoyed one single night of sleep on my brand new bed. Also, the guys that assembled the furniture broke one of the drawers in the dresser and didn't say a thing until I noticed the drawers not leveled correctly. Another dresser has a chip on it. I called multiple times and all they do is sending someone to waste your time staying at home for that window period to just come and leave and you'll get an email of "sorry can't do nothing about your issue" will not be buying a single thing from them again.
I had a very good experience at Ashley on 3/13 and my salesperson Aleim was outstanding. I ordered a recliner sofa and dining set which was recently delivered and I was extremely happy with the professionalism of the delivery people. I intend to purchase more items from Ashley and look forward to working with Aleim!
The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. I came here looking for a new bedroom set. The staff allowed me to shop around to take a look at the different styles available. They would check in periodically to see how I was doing and mentioned that I was also interested in a new mattress. They told me that whenever I was ready, I could come to the showroom area and try out some new mattresses. I enjoyed the demo experience and I didn't feel pressured into buying anything that day. They did call the next day to ask if I had come to any decisions. Again, I didn't feel pressured into buying anything and was happy for the follow-up. I mentioned that I was still shopping around and they were fine with that response. There were lots of selections available at this store and I would recommend a visit. I didn't buy anything, but definitely a great place to shop around.

Worse mistake buying from the store. Sales person told me it was better to buy from store instead of online. I take partial blame for the ordering the wrong item. I was excited about having a recliner and just waited forit to be delivered. I thought I could return it but was told I couldn't only way I could was if I refused the product. Online it says I have 3 days to return if I want . I guess to try out as well. I'm never buying anything from the store again. I will try it out in store but buy online from now on. Not listening to the sales people anymore here.
This is my family's favorite furniture store and we are all very picky. They always treat us with respect and like VIPs every time. They greet us with smiles at the door and they are very honest about their recommendations. They have never steered us wrong. 10/10 would recommend
Friendly helpful associates. They weren't pushy but we eager to please. Leap year special and a friendly boost from the manager helped us get a new couch we look forward to growing with. Clean environment and lots of furniture to look at.

My lady and I decided to go mattress shopping this past weekend. Our first stop, was our last stop. We got to Ashley's starting browsing in the mattress area, taking a look at all the different options. Finally after laying down on several different brands of mattresses we love the Tempur-Pedic LuxeBreeze Firm. The staff immediately made us feel welcomed, it was a lady who helped us. I believe her name was Evelyn. She did a tremendous job, her customer service was excellent, she answered all our questions and also we described to her what we needed and looking for. Needless to say, she took care of us 100%. Also Evelyn called for assistance from her colleague Ken which definitely was a big help when it came to helping out with certain price matters, thank you Ken and Evelyn for all your help, it was a pleasure doing business with you guys, your customer service was top notch. I would definitely recommend anyone who is shopping for mattresses or furniture to come check them out!

Walked - in , was looked at by several sales men . I was not greeted. I kinda felt bad for them because the look on thier face seemed miserable and bored with thier job . Couldn't ask for anything more. Got a great deal on a loveseat. I had looked at it online and was pleased to find out that the in store sale price was actually lower than the price quoted online.Evelyn was wonderful to work with, as well as her manager. I needed the loveseat to be delivered within three days, and they made it happen.Sorry for those who had negative experiences. I am thoroughly pleased.

If I could I would give this specific Ashley's home furniture ZERO STARS. Their customer service is terrible, David who is the store manager is useless at his job. Once say I came in to Ashley's furniture store looking for a recliner for my mother. I picked out a POWERED recliner only to get a MANUAL one delivered to my home. Sarah the "sales manager" claimed that she knew what she was doing and seemed enthusiastic to sell the recliner to me. I assumed she knew what she was doing because I showed her which exact powered recliner I wanted and who better than to make that purchase than the sales manager of the store. Fast forward, I get the manual recliner sent to my home. I go to the store and that's where I met David for the first time. I explained the situation and he had a blank stare on his face as if nothing wrong had happened, so then he "fixes" my issue. He arranged a date for my powered recliner to be sent over and I asked him if I needed a receipt, he nodded and he said I was good to go. I was calm and went about to my business that day, happy that Ashley's was going to swap the manual recliner for the powered one. The day before the powered recliner was going to be delivered, I did not receive a text confirmation regarding what time the recliner was going to be delivered. This was pretty odd to me and I had a huge feeling that the powered recliner was not going to arrive on the day David had told me it was going to arrive. The day comes and nothing, no powered recliner. At this point I had been waiting for awhile for my power recliner to arrive. I called Ashely's main line and they transferred me over the the Ashley's store in Colma, where I spoke with a representative and she told me that the powered recliner was not going to be delivered the day David told me it was going to be delivered. I went to the store to to see what was going on with my powered recliner. I am not exaggerating when I tell you David was useless in helping me out. I no longer wanted the recliner since they took more than 2 weeks a for my powered recliner to be delivered. I was upset that David provided me false information as to when the recliner was going to arrive. I demanded a refund and David did not want to refund me my money back what so ever. He was staring at the computer screen for the longest and was not even updating me on what he was doing on his end. I am pretty sure that he does not know how to work Ashley's system because he charged me again just to put in the new powered recliner order that he NEVER DID IN THE FIRST PLACE. I was beyond irate. I'm not going to lie, I did make a scene in the store but what was only because David was making things worse. David also promised to call (before coming to the store I did call the evening before) and explain what was going on which he never did either. David is the worst store manager I have ever encountered in my life. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this Ashley's home furniture store in Colma. It is absolute TRASH. David does not care about the customer what so ever.The only thing he knows how to do is apologize 50 times while having a boring and unamused look on his face.
Ask for Josh B! He listens and is great at saving you $$$ I am so happy with my sectional, delivered in a week, so ask about what is in stock. Do the measurements in the doorways before you order and you will have a good experience with the delivery drivers. The quality is amazing.

WORST SERVICE EVER! The manger of this location is severely rude! He got upset at me when I mentioned the prices online were much cheaper, and he had to price match. Sorry I'm not paying $700 more. When I could just order online. I asked if I could use Ashley's gift cards I got from a previous Ashley's purchase. and he yelled at me "Absolutely NOT! NO! NO! NO! I was like why are you yelling over a simple question? At this point I cancelled the order! I cancelled the 5 pcs of furniture including a mattress! And walked out. Managers are meant to help their customers especially if they're there ready to pay for what they want! Not try to squeeze out of every penny to they could. I will never go back 20x prefer just ordering online, and save myself the hassle, and rudeness for no reason!
Bad service lady was kinda rude
This review is based on the quality of Ashley's management and delivery service or in my case disservice. The sales experience was ok as the sales person was friendly and pretty straight forward. I purchased a mattress and it was arranged that Ashley would pick up the old one in swap. The day of delivery came and the the delivery guy said he could not pick up my old one because "there was no space." Okkayyy... I needed a new mattress to sleep on, hence the purchase so I agreed when he said he would speak to his manager to reschedule a pick up. Long story short, after about a week and a half of going back with admin assistant of the store, the actual warehouse dispatch and arguing with the next delivery crew- they did not pick up my mattress at all and I was advised to call the garbage collection department of my city because they refused to work with me anymore. I understand the whole policy of a wet mattress but it wasn't my fault that I kept having to pull in and pull out a mattress for pick up for something they were supposed to pick up in the first place. Of course, it rained and it got wet. I pretty livid when the crew said they could not/ would not help me. Ultimately, I spoke to dispatch on my phone and they purposefully avoided my call. I know this...I called via my son's phone and I got an answer right away. Being heated, I lashed out and I was called a "crazy lady" by one of their staff members. I ended up calling a hauling company and paid them to take my old mattress. Fortunately, they were quick. After the episode, I called corporate to make a complaint- to which I have not been contacted. The second time I called to follow up, the customer service lady was condescending and didn't help at all. Also, I went to back to Ashley of Colma to speak with the General Manager, David. What a waste of time and effort. You would think that after so many calls to the store, corporate "supposedly emailing" him about my issue he seemed completely unfamiliar and rather unsympathetic. He also was condescending and offered no type of compensation. His apology was rather bland as well. I cannot in good faith recommend anyone make a purchase here. Seems like after they have your money, a decent follow through with customer service is unavailable if not just rude. Go somewhere where you know your experience with the store does not stop after you give them your money.
I was a customer before at Ashley HomeStore at Bay Shore location San Francisco West. I remember I went so many places due to my pickiness, so I ended up buying my all furnitures at Ashley, and I was assisted with the terrific Customer Service by the Store Manger David A. I believed Ashley Furniture, have a lot of varieties, unique style, good quality, and lower prices. So now the new Ashley by Colma has plenty of new unique designs, and definitely I will replace my older Furnitures to the newest one!
My boyfriend and I came to Ashley's HomeStore today looking for a sofa and was very happy by the service. Alem was the person who was assisting us and definitely made us feel comfortable and was going up and beyond to help us find the best fit for us. We defiantly suggest people coming here and giving it a visit. We will defiantly be back especially to get that coffee table!
Continue to my previous feedback: Here is the experience you will get if you buy from any ASHLEY store especially Colma and Dublin: You feel like all the salespersons are like your family and they are so lovely and respectful (just to fool you). You will be repeatedly told you get such a huge deal, discount, free financing, don’t worry about the money, we deal with you in the best way (all lies). You spend a lot of time to apply for finance, get a hard inquiry, select what you want and then when you want to pay, they suddenly add 10% because of finance and you changed your mind and decide to pay upfront. The discount that they promised you will be much lower than they promised, not to mentionn prices are already 3 times higher compared to other stores. You are pushed so hard to buy a protection plan from them because it is a free profit for them in return to no actual service. They don’t care about the customer at the beginning let alone 5 years from now? Their protection plan is also a scam. Your delivery date will be super late compared to other furniture stores 1-4 months (living spaces, RC Willy,…..). At the time of delivery, you find out most of the items are damaged, scratched, and some floor samples instead of boxed. You will call the store manager and customer service and say after 1 month I get all damaged items. They will then ask you please keep the items with you. Technician will come and repair it if he cannot we replace it for you. Never believe it that never happens. I trusted them for a couple of items and they never repaired or replaced my items. They make bunch of excuses in several ways that it was your fault not factory defect to avoid replacing and repairing it. I also had this experience that the faked my signature that I was happy with the service and no complain about the damages they made to my house. You will be very mad at them and stay in hold for customer service for 1-2 hours and somebody hangs up on you. If you are lucky somebody answers you and keeps telling you to talk to your store if you have any problem. There is no return policy, if you pay them you cannot get your money back even if your items are damaged or even when they cannot provide you with the item they are out of. Most of the time they say they call you back but never happens and you have to follow up with them 10 times without no reasonable response. The delivery system is awful because they want it to be very cheap and profitable for them, they get service from very unprofessional people who cannot even screw a screw. You might be left off with huge damage in your walls, floor, and doors. You hear a lot of lies from the whole system store manager, salesperson, delivery guys, technicians, representative in customer service. Lies include, we call you back for sure, keep your damaged furniture technician will repair it if not replace it, we refund your money, sing for something that was hidden from you, they even do signature forgery for customer satisfaction. Finally, you are tired and have to accept all the garbage and floor samples they send to you after 2-3 months because you are tired of the situation and put your long very negative story here exactly like me. You have no choice if you want to cancel your order because of late delivery and horrible customer service. they do not refund your money. Be careful to take your time and money and buy from other furniture stores to have better quality, better comfort, peace of mind and a better experience.
They mentally play with you with unlimited lies! NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY AND SPECIFICALLY THIS STORE!The whole store is a scam. I initially worked with David and Sahar and thought the problem is with them who lie easily but everybody from customer service, warehouse, store lie. Please don't get fooled with them. They are nice until they sell their garbage furniture to you, as soon as you walk out of the store you will start living in hell with their scam delivery system. Unfortunately, we bought 37 items from them in Nov and were promised to receive all of the items in one delivery, but after 7 times partial delivery we are still getting broken and damaged items. They literally ruined our whole life during these 3months. I spent more than 24h so far talking to them on the phone to fix the problem and every time I just got promises that never happened. They told me they returned my delivery fee already but it never happened. Please Never buy anything from them. You will not have a life if you buy even an item from them let alone 37!!!! I am sure they won't survive for a long time with their worse customer service ever! We wanted to buy our furniture from Ashley in Dublin because it was close to our house but Sahar who works there scammed us with her lies and told me that she is not happy with her manager in Dublin so she cannot give a good service to us in this branch. So she made us drive all the way to Colma to be able to work with her previous manager, David. We mistakenly believed her but now we got that they just wanted to raise the sale in the Colma branch because it was a new branch that just started right at the time we wanted to buy our furniture. Now that I am typing the story for you just crying because of all the black days that they made for us. You may not believe it but they really ruined our life, please never make our mistake and work with them. we could cancel our whole order but then after reading reviews, we found that they never return your money and it was true! We did not cancel our order though, they never returned the delivery fee that they had promised us. I bought furniture from Living space last time and it was delivered in two days instead of one day and they automatically refunded my delivery fee. I am sure if my story had happened in any other furniture store they would try to make us happy with our purchase but Ashley does not care because they are a scam. Also if you want to know their real review rate read their review on Yelp. I noticed that most of their 5stars reviewers on google only have one review in their history showing that highly likely they made those review by fake account to raise their rating and hide 1star reviews.I wish I could give them a negative five stars.
I am writing this review only because I ruined my $12000, my 3-4 months time, my comfort, peace of mind, and my trust because of Ashley Furniture store and I do not want other people make the same mistake I made. Please do not consider what I include in this review as my madness or frustration, it is an exact real story that happens to anybody dealing with Ashley Furniture stores. First of all, the whole company is scam and everybody (even their employers and their delivery guys complain about their lies and I heard lies from all of them) are mad at Ashley, and I do not know where some of these 5 stars coming from (I guess they make some fake accounts to randomly put 5-stars review for them if you look at their history they only have 1 review and it is Ashley). I recommend for ASHLEY review take a look at YELP (2.5-starts even with their fake 5-star review) or other online review platforms. I am hugely surprised how they have maintained in business in the US with this awful customer service. Regarding my experience with them, please be cautious (scared-scared-scared) of these names: DAVID, SAHAR, KALY, TOBY They are professional liars/scammers. Initially, they treat you as if they love you so you feel they are the nicest people. The purpose is to attract you and catch you in their traps. Their tricks to do that includes: Hey body come here I give you great discount (while the original price is 3 times higher), we protect your furniture for 5 years, push you to buy tonight because tonight we have a great deal and we want you to take advantage of our great deal, we have 48 months finances, and so on and so forth. Unfortunately, we were fooled by SAHAR (salesperson working in Dublin store) and she connected us to a so-called manage David in Colma store. They asked us to open a credit card for financing 2 days beforehand, but at the time of payment, David added 10% to the whole purchase because of financing. It was the first lie and we got a hard inquiry and credit score dropped hugely and could not use that with 10% more (we bought $11000 things from Ashly and with the finance, it was $14500). They are very professional scammers and do their best to catch you in a trap so you cannot decide. Therefore, we had to pay all upfront that was very stressful for us. Then David pushed us to buy a protection plan but we did not trust them to have protection plan. After payment (November 27th) they set our delivery for 3 weeks later (December 14th), while we were previously promised by SAHAR for 3-4 day delivery. The most awful part of the experience is after 3 weeks they changed the time of delivery 2 times and push it back to the very late afternoon. 3 delivery guys brought us some of our items. When we looked at them, we were shocked. After 3 weeks they brought us garbage, damaged, scratched, and even some floor samples instead of brand new. They broke my door, damaged my wall, hugely scratched my hardwood floor and damaged my house, and we only got only 25% of our stuff that looked pretty much like floor samples, although they charged me for brand new. Interestingly, it turned out the delivery guys faked my wife's signature (signature forgery) that I did not have any complain about $2130 damage they caused to my property (floor, wall, door, entrance Lanscape lights). After 10 times calling and spending 10 hours , they scheduled us for another delivery (January 5th) and promised to refund my delivery fee because of the inconvenience. New delivery guys brought the same items (broken, damaged, scratched, floor samples...). After that, we had 3-4 more deliveries (total I guess 8 times) every time something was missing and damaged. Finally, we had to accept all the garbage they delivered to us since we got tired of their lies and mental problems we had got from them. All in all, they are professional and educated on how to play with you mentally so you give up. If you wanna waste 3-4 months of your life, your money, your mental health, and finally receive a bunch of garbage buy from Ashley specifically from COLMA store. Let me start by saying that this review is strictly for the sales staff or should I say lack of sales professionals at this particular location, not the furniture itself or the company as a whole. We are completely redoing the Living Room, Master Bedroom, one of the kids rooms completely and replacing the bed in the other kids room between now and July. We planned on visiting Living Spaces this Sunday and were across the street at Home Depot and saw that this location had opened so decided to check it out. We walked in and despite there being 2 sales people at the door, we were not even greeted. We walked around looking at everything they had to offer and fell in love with the Sorinella bed for our Master Bedroom. The sign stated that the bed was $1600 but could have it discounted as much as 40% off if you didn't finance it or only took the 0% for a year. We couldn't get a single sales person to approach us but meanwhile watched them approach other customers around us and as they walked through the door, just not us! We saw two a sales guys watching videos on their phones laughing together and a few of the sales girls lounging on the couch chatting yet no one helped us. When I asked one sales guy a question and thought we would finally get some help, another sales woman came to ask him a question and he left us to help her not even answering the question. We were appalled at the lack of service so left and headed to Living Spaces. They were helpful but we still had our hearts set on the one at Ashley. We decided to go back and try yet again. The second time, same issue. We walked in, no greeting yet the people that walked in behind us got welcomed and there was a ton of sales staff hanging out chatting on the sofas with each other in the front and others scattered talking to one another not assisting customers. We decided to stand in front of the set hoping to be approached and decided we weren't going to flag someone down to beg them to sell us something. After all, they are commissioned sales people. We waited in front of the set for 30 minutes with not one person approaching us. We got on the Ashley website from our phones only to find that the $1600 bed was on the website for $800 which is cheaper than we could've gotten in store!!! We ordered it directly from the Ashley website in the middle of their showroom floor and left with still not one hello. It's being delivered in a few days. I would never give any of these sales people my money. I'll go direct from now on!
I have been shopping for couches for over two weeks for my new house. I was very discouraged that I wouldn’t find any until I went to the Ashley store in Colma. They had such a great selection that I found more than one that I like. While shopping for couches I also found a dining room table and chairs that I ended up buying as well. Lizandro and David were amazing. They didn’t pressure me into buying but when I decided they were able to give me such a great deal and we’re super helpful. I will definitely come back for more house furniture in the future.

I accompanied my sister to buy a new bedroom set this evening and I ended up purchasing my own set...funny thing is, I didn't even need a new bedroom set! Not only were the holiday deals to good to pass up, but our sales associate, Aleim Alavez was fantastic. He was knowledgeable about products, pricing and financing. He wasn't pushy and was just an all around honest guy to do business with. My sister had browsed the store the other day and Aleim was the one to help her. Today when we walked in she told me that we would only work with him. He was with other customers but we were more than willing to wait for him. I'm glad we did!!
We had a good experience at Ashley. It&'s important to do some homework ahead of time because like a lot of other big retailers, their on-line prices could be different than their in-store prices.With the shipping and handling and putting it together yourself, you might not be really saving much.You&'ll have to factor in whether or not you have the time and/or energy to pick it up yourself too. That&'s an option as well. The pick-up warehouse is in the east bay.We decided to negotiate in the store and feel like we were dealt with fairly.I knew the on-line prices ahead of time and they worked with us on a good price that included delivery, set-up and a five year protection fee.The delivery process was seamless. It was actually a bit of overkill. There were at least 10 confirmation texts, a few emails and a phone call before delivery finally occurred. Our range was between 9:30 am and 1:30pm. The truck pulled up at 10:20am.The delivery guys were great and we were enjoying our new items less than an hour later.I know that some people have written about having a different experience and I too would have expressed my disappointment if things didn&'t go well, but to be fair, it was a very good experience all the way around.
Lizandro and Karen were great help today making it extremely easy picking out a sectional at their location. Furniture shopping can be so frustrating with all the online options out there. But this location with their numerous display options and helpful staff made it extremely seamless.

I took my mother to see Karen Han and Lisandro Rodriguez to purchase a new sofa set, they were Amazing and gave us the best service. I truly appreciate the extra 10% off for my military service. I highly recommend this store.
Stopped by on the 8th to check out the new show room and it was full of great merchandise and nicely laid out. I was greeted by Matt with a big smile and great energy. It was slow in the store as it was during dinner time. Great time to shop. I was assisted by Evelyn and like always was charming and welcoming. She recognized me from a previous purchase at a different Ashley location. That felt good. Go see Evelyn if you’re in the market for some new furniture. Good quality furniture for the prices.
This place is amazing. The manager Karen Tan and sales person Lizandro were so great. They have a wide variety of products. A must visit for new home owners ans anyone looking for a home upgrade!

I ordered a bed through the Colma store before Christmas. I needed it by 1/4. It was scheduled for delivery and set up on 1/2. I got a call the day before that they could no longer work in this timeframe and wanted to deliver it the following week. I declined- at this point I had arranged to be home on the day they had said it would be delivered. I ordered a bed at a much better price on Wayfair which has since been successfully delivered on time. Here's where the issue starts. I've now spoken to over half a dozen Ashlwy representatives who have all acknowledged that a refund ($1330.72 to be exact) is due. Two said they were personally processing it. All the others said it had to come from the store, who diverts all calls to the call center. I'm now having to call my bank to dispute the fraudulent charges. First and last time I ever spend a dime at this horrifying excuse for a business!
This is the worst store I have ever had to deal with. The sales associate sold me some furniture lied and told me it would fit got to my home wouldn't fit because it arrived assembled and when I purchased the furniture I specifically asked if it comes assembled and was told it doesnt. I had to go back and reorder new items I spent 4 hours ordering something new not because I was looking but because the people didnt know how to complete the form. Then asking about a confirmation they are sending the wrong items this store sucks avoid them if you can.

The BEST time, care, and explanations. Karen and Lizandro were amazing. I'm not just saying this. They gave us really detailed information and run downs on all the types of matresses they have when we couldn't figure out what we wanted. I would like to thank Aleim at the Colma Ashley Furniture store today, as I walked in the door he immediately greeted and asked if I needed assistance. I was looking for a Lift Recliner, he escorted to the variety they carried and Aleim made it very simple from that point. He was able to order it and have it delivered for us next week. I will definitely return and request Aleim he made this such an easy 10 minute task. Thank you!
I have never experienced such horrible customer service. Avoid this store at all costs if you do not want to deal with a headache. We bought a sofa during their Christmas sale which made it 50% off. We were excited to upgrade our old recliner love seat to something more comfy. We paid with a credit card and chose a date of delivery no problem. They let us know that we will receive a text with confirmation and to make sure to have the area clear where we intended to have the couch placed because they do not take the old couch for you. This is where it turns to disappointment. On 1/4/2020 we were supposed to have our delivery between 11:15-3:15 PM. The day before I remove our old couch to the basement and cleaned the area for the delivery people to have an easy drop off. I get a text the day of that they will actually arrive at 10:30 AM. Great, they are early! Or so I thought. I came downstairs stairs after a call and the guy tells me immediately that they cannot delivery the couch because the elevator clearance is too low. My excitement deflated in seconds. They measure again in front of me and the height of the elevator is 100", the couch is 98". (2" clearance was not enough) They didn't even bother to try it sideways or slated at an angle or anything. It isn't going to fit and that's that. I even asked them if it can be taken apart? They said no, its a solid piece. They said the warehouse will call me in an hour so I can select something else. (Never happened) I decide not to wait for the warehouse because I am already on edge with these guys not even attempting to lower the couch off the truck, and call customer service. After 15 min of annoying music the lady on the phone informs me that unfortunately there is nothing they can do and either I choose something smaller or refund. I told them great I don't anything else from their store and that I'll go to the original store for a refund. She said, yes you can definitely do that. Mind you at the time of sale the manager that helped us never mentioned anything about proper clearance or the couch does not disassemble for deliveries. All this gets better! We go to the store for a refund and I explain the situation to the store manager David Abelson and he looks at me almost bored and says that he cannot do anything at the moment because they need to wait until the couch is back in the warehouse and processed as return, which could take several days. Excuse me? So not only do I not get my couch, I don't get my immediate refund? That's right. He had the "you are SOL lady" look on him. He didn't try to be sympathetic or even pretend to be helpful. Because calling accounting or anything corporate was to hard of a task or worth moving a finger for. These people do not give a flying shit about you or your purchase. Once you buy, you are on your own. If you want to deal with shitty customer service be my guest. Double check and triple check measurements of your elevator and doorways before purchase because if the threshold is too small they won't even attempt delivery! Their max flight of stairs is 4 flights, so if you live in a complex like we do, check those openings and if the couch is able to be delivered in parts! At the end, I created a scene in the store by yelling at the unhelpful asshole for being a prick and called my credit card to file a charge back on their ass. Will never come back to this store again. The last kicker is that I am now couchless for 6 weeks until my delivery from Living Spaces arrives. Sitting on the floor watching TV is about to be fun....

I came to this location for black friday since it was the grand opening. Got some amazing deals for mattresses. However, I had a delivery date issue. I went to the store and the manager Karen took care of the issue for me. Karen is really nice and made sure I left as a happy and recurring customes. Kudos to Karen!!
We went to Ashley’s looking to buy some furniture for our living room. We didn’t exactly know what we were looking for right off the bat, but Adam was super helpful in guiding us and helping us come to a final decision. He’s very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable which really made us feel taken care of and that we were in good hands! If you go to Ashley's at Colma, ask for Adam Wolf, he’s great at his job and it’s clear that he tries his best to get his clients the best deal! We’re very happy with our experience and we’ll definitely refer our friends and family here.
I went in the new Colma store and was greeted immediately by several friendly people! Adam Wolf was able to meet all my needs quickly and professionally and all with a great smile. We were all done in 40 minutes! He was wonderful! I do appreciate the special Black Friday deal I got!! It was a truly fantastic price for a bedroom set! Great service and great prices! I will be sure to come back again! Love this location!
