Furniture here is competitive with other stores.............the showroom is nice and the sales people are helpful.............I only needed a few pieces for a bedroom..............I looked around the major store's and a few small ones around my neighborhood..............I found everything I was looking for here..............I picked what was In stock so I got my pieces quickly.............I believe it was Eric who helped my wife and I write up the invoice and apply for credit..............Lucio and Robert were my delivery drivers..............so far everything is good.............all I have to do now is pay the bill when it comes

Bobby L. was very helpful with my search for a new couch and dining room set. He was kind and took the time to show us all options! I’ve had multiple sets of furniture from Ashley’s, it really is good quality, and I’ve loved every piece I’ve bought!

We took so long to make a decision on a couch and went to the store multiple times. Yasmin was so patient with us and wasn't pushy. I will def return to the El Cajon location when we make any big furniture purchases in the future.

Just a heads up if you shop at Ashley furniture. We bought a dresser from the one at parkway plaza in El Cajon. We got the warranty and it broke after less than a year. We called in the warranty and someone came and said they would order the part and he would be back in 2 weeks. A month passed and we called and they said they had no record of a part being order and they forwarded to someone else and they would get back to us soon. 2 weeks past we called back and they said they would forward it to someone who could help again. We did this for 2 months. I sent emails, and phone calls and then I found out that a lot of people are having this same issue. They will scam you. There is a whole fb page about Ashley furniture Customer complaints just like mine. I have so much going on right now and this is so stressful. I am tired of living out of laundry baskets. You guys really screwed us!

Furniture was higher end than in other stores. Sales person tried to push for fabric warranty and set up delivery at exorbitant fees for our two power reclining couches with power headrests. We politely declined so she got her supervisor to push for the warranty and furniture set up. We remained polite but steadfast in our declination. They were definitely heavy handed and it was offensive. Although we liked the furniture, we almost walked out of the store. Ended up buying the furniture without the fabric warranty or set up fees (which would have added another $1,000 to the bill). It was delivered well packaged. My husband and I set it up in 1.5 hours. If you are a little bit handy, set up is no problem, much less of an issue than they told us but we had done the same set ups before and it’s never an issue. Don’t be bullied by the sales people.

Great experience, Patience sales rep greeted us on entry. She listened to what I was looking to and allowed us to browse without pressure. When we found the dining room set we’d searching for she helped us check out and arrange delivery. Very fast and pleasant experience and we’ll definitely return for future furniture purchases! Both Patience and David, manager, were great!

By far the rudest customer service experience ever. I had an issue with a broken table that they promised me they would fix but yet don’t keep their word. I have everything documented and calls recorded as to what was said and promised. Layah is also extremely disrespectful. She refuses to let me speak with anyone but her signifying that no one can help me. I’ve asked to speak with the manager multiple times and she resfuses and HUNG up the phone on me today. The lack of respect for customers…..I have now taken this to corporate hoping I can get a resolution soon! Will not be shopping here and would not recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I recently purchased a bed from Ashley Furniture. The bed was delivered on Wednesday, but it was assembled incorrectly and arrived with several missing pieces to the bed frame. It’s extremely frustrating that the delivery team not only failed to assemble the bed properly, but also left without resolving the issue. On top of that, they did not remove our old mattress, which is required under California law. Since then, my husband has made multiple calls to customer service, but we have received no real assistance. The calls are routed to a call center in India, and the representatives have not been able to offer any solutions. Communication has been difficult, and we have made no progress. It has now been several days, and we still haven’t been able to use the bed. We do not feel safe sleeping on it, as it is clearly incomplete. We want to speak to someone who speaks English and can actually assist us in fixing this issue. This has been the worst customer service experience we’ve ever had. We spent thousands of dollars on this bed, and the level of service and support we’ve received is unacceptable. We will not pay for a bed we cannot use. This is the last time we will ever shop at Ashley Furniture.

I went into the store ready to purchase a coffee table and some other home decor and was treated very rude and ignored. I had to ask a sales associate about a piece of furniture that I seen online and he quickly informed me that the item wasn't available. I them asked for something similar and was brushed off!!! Couldn't believe it!!! I was so desperate for the item, I still looked around the store, not one person helped me. I ended up leaving and was shocked at the horrible customer service. There were 10 sales associates and not one was professional or nice. I was paying in cash too!!! What a waste. I will never go to this store again. I ended up purchasing from Amazon.

Yasmine gave 100% AAA sales service. She is a real asset to the Ashley brand. She gets 10 stars. I’m just insulted with the business model for in store furniture shopping today - this is our 2nd Ashley store shop, both times the price tag was not only $150 more than the on line price, but then there’s the $100 delivery fee and then I’ll talk to my manager and maybe I can give you 10% off - it felt exactly like going to a car dealership. If we hadn’t started walking away, we would have paid over $200 more. I ended up saving exactly $8 under what I would have paid if I had bought on-line. Delivery was very smooth with great packing and service.

I recently visited Ashley Furniture and had a disappointing experience with an associate named Eric. Unfortunately, his behavior was both intrusive and unprofessional. He repeatedly followed us around the store, not allowing us the space to browse or make decisions on our own. Additionally, his attitude was dismissive, and he seemed more focused on getting myself and my group out of the store rather than providing helpful assistance. This experience significantly impacted our perception of the store, and I regret that it was so uncomfortable.

I have never been so humiliated at any store in my life!! I have no idea how they are in business. The manager (long gray hair) has anger/stress issues and took it out on his customer (me) and I hope he doesn't do that to any other customers. I was in tears leaving and could not even sleep trying to process how a manager kicks out his customers because they argued about a return. He should hear them out and then professionally proceed not by kicking them out! I am truly hurt and disappointed. I bought so many things from them, but will now close my credit card and never go back. I hope no customer endures what I had to endure.

We went into the store in El Cajon on Jan 8th 2025 and bought my 81 year old Aunt a couch and matching chair. When the furniture arrived 2 weeks later than what Ashley said it would be delivered they did nor bring the right color chair.. First they said they would not change it because once a piece of furniture enters into a home they cannot take it back. My Aunt told the delivery people.that the chair was the wrong color and told them to take it back. The delivery people told her they had to deliver it and she needed to take this up with the store. I did and after a few hours on the phone with them they decided to pick the wrong chair up and deliber the right color chair a month later. When my Aunt fi ally received.the right color chair she noticed the delivery drivers did not take.the chair out if the box , there were mo tags on the chair and.it was worn like.it had been the floor model. We called Ashley and complained, they sent out an inspector who decided there was nothing wrong with the chair.and.they will not replace it. WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

HOWEVER, THE DELIVERY COMPANY WAS DEVIOUS. The delivery guy insisted I sign a form before they would take my recliner chair off their truck. I told him I wasn't going to sign until I checked that the chair was what I ordered and it worked. He said "Its OK the first form is only for my company to show that we arrived. The second form that you sign later is for the store." After several minutes of getting nowhere, I told him "No delivery, you can leave now!" He left and came back with the chair. After I checked everything out, I told him I was ready to sign both forms. He told me "No, there's only one form to sign." Note: the delivery company only gets paid if they get a signed form.

As soon as we walked into the store Jasmine greeted us and was very welcoming and helpful. She took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for. She really took care of us and was understanding with our budget, we didn’t feel pressured to buy the higher priced, albeit higher quality, items and that really made our experience better. Definitely looking to come back and work with her again should we be in the need for more furniture soon.

The worst after sale customer service l have ever seen. The next day been trying to contact the store. In fact all four stores in the san diego area and the automated machine keeps sending me to the philippines and they are unable to connect to the store also. I just need to confirm that.We have the right parts for the new bedroom coming to support the mattress. But very sadly, automated answering service they use. Is not able to connect you to an agent. Either locally in the US or the Philippines that is able to help.And then the machine just hangs up on you. Very disappointed.I'm gonna drive back to the Store Today.And I'm very seriously considering just cancel in the order.That was scheduled two weeks from now for delivery.

I give them 3 stars due to time frame for delivery. We purchased furniture on 11/30/24, delivery was promised 12/31. We got 2 items out of 4. Promised the rest on 1/9/25, no merchandise. I got table today 1/14/25 , and love seat is promised for 1/23/25. Almost 2 months for us to get our last piece of furniture. Through the holidays we had a sofa and 6 dining chairs.

I purchased a dining table from Ashley Furniture around Thanksgiving, expecting all the pieces to be delivered together. In-store, I was assured it would arrive by December 31st. However, I recently received a call stating that delivery is now pushed to January 7th, with little notice or explanation. The lack of communication has been incredibly frustrating. I called customer service to ask about compensation for the inconvenience, and they directed me to the store. Unfortunately, the store never answers their phone, making it nearly impossible to resolve the issue. This delay has disrupted my holiday plans, as I was counting on having my dining table to serve dinner. If there had been better communication, I could have planned accordingly, but instead, I’m left feeling disappointed and undervalued as a customer. To make matters worse, this location already has multiple negative reviews on Yelp, and my experience aligns with many of the complaints. I will not be shopping at Ashley Furniture again and cannot recommend this store to others.

We told her we would come the next morning so when we got there, we asked about the deal she offered us she said oh let me check ok it’s actually $100 off if you finance for 6 months. Fast forward to today, we got the couch delivered but no pillows. We messaged her and she called me saying that’s a misunderstanding pillows don’t come with that couch and I told her she told us it did. She kept saying it’s a misunderstanding but I told her it’s not a misunderstanding my husband and I heard you say that. please avoid coming here. They try to lie to sell things to you and then don’t like to make things right after they are caught in their lies. And to think I was going to purchase dressers and more furniture from them. Never doing business with Ashley’s furniture again.

This review is primarily for Elizabeth at the El Cajon store who got my warranty approved and I was finally able to replace my damaged couch after two months of getting the runaround from their extended warranty (Reguard) customer service line overseas. I called every week and got nothing except to wait and wait with zero updates. Finally decided to try to talk to someone at the store directly and Elizabeth helped me. I explained the situation, she called Reguard right then, and they told her it was approved. I could not believe it. It was only once I went into the store and did something about it that Reguard decides to approve my warranty and replace my couch. Could’ve been coincidence, but the lesson here is that Elizabeth is awesome, and avoid the extended warranty

Plz don’t spend your money here like I did, last year I spent $7,000 and my couch was $3.000. In only a few months I noticed it was not made well one end piece started sinking in. For this to happen in months of having is unacceptable and poorly made. After contacting them going back n forth with my protection plan that I only bought since the manager there made me feel bad if I didn’t buy it the salesperson would not get commission. So they said it’s a manufacture defect and Ashley had a salesperson come take a look and agreed I needed a new piece I even got a call from Ashley to confirm this. Days later they send an email saying they were not gonna give me a new piece. Very unprofessional and I was very upset and angry calling them complaining having to tell my story 10 times everytime I called. I asked to speak to a manager to help me with this and no one ever cared. Awful customer service and very poorly made sofa that I spend $3,000 on just that. I will never shop here again or recommend. For a company not to care and only care about selling you the furniture well it’s not my fault it’s a manufacture defect they should be the ones to help. Now I am stuck with a couch not even a year old that I am unhappy with.

I spent some time searching for the right coffee table today at Ashley Furniture. My guide was Mr. Steve Brown and he was quite helpful. The table that I had found online he pointed out was not as good as another one I was looking at in store. At first I wasn't liking the pullout feature of the one in store but after talking to him I realized it might be good. It pulls closer to you so you can eat on it. Sometimes my husband and I sit together in the kitchen but now when the Padres games are on.its nice to be able sit and eat from your couch while watching the Padres play. I've been trying to exchange my mother mattress that she bought here and it is causing her pain. And they are forcing her to keep the mattress, that is hurting her and can not get sleep, for 30 DAYS!!!!!!! Not even letting find you a new one. This was until the regional manager Scott and the store manager Marie is allowing her to exchange before the 30 days, this is after going to the store talking to them, then calling customer service having a technician come out and calling the store again.

Was looking for rugs but found two metal lamps priced right!!

Delivery sucks

We came to this store seeking a comfortable sofa after buying one from Wayfair that unfortunatly came poorly made and highly uncomfortable... we were looking for comfort and spacious seating. When we arrived Robert greeted us and tended to our every question and every need. He offered insight and history regarding the styles and complexities of each piece of furniture. He was quick to assist without pressuring us. Walked along side us and then gave us space to try out couches and speak amongst ourselves. We even left to think about it, he warmly bid us adieu and recieved us warmly when we came back. We decided on a lovely sectional that will fit our families needs, and while we worked through the qualifying process for 0% financing, he took the time to show us the ins and outs of the temperpeedoc and purple mattresses for future purchase down the line. Thank you Robwrt and sales manager Marie for hosting a terrific experience for us, and bringing joy back to furniture purchasing. We were a bit upset with the sofa we landed on from Wayfair, and they completely turned the situation around. Also being served by a true patriot and staff that had great affection for God was a HUGE BOOST. They did not disclose any of this until we broached the topic and invited conversation-- they were professional and I can tell will work with ALL variety of clients in a manner that is comfortable and courteous for each client and thier specific needs and diverse dynamics. Great team at El Cajon Ashley's. Made us feel like family, and while we were there, made us feel at home with their great service. Thank you Robert and Marie!

NEVER get the delivery service, unless you have unlimited time to deal with the extremely inefficient process. They will text you three days before, you answer the automated system confirming the date. Then nothing happens. You call the delivery number, after rescheduling your entire day, just waiting to find out what time. Since the company carelessly didn't send it to you as they should have. Nothing to help. I can reschedule, yet again. No, Ashley furniture some of us work 8-5 (Monday-friday) so we can not take the Wednesday appointment when my last two were on Saturday. Maybe you could deliver on Sundays, or when you said you would deliver, in order to accommodate the customers that keep you in business. There better be a refund happening and unfortunately I won’t get the time that this entire ordeal has cost me. I also wont get back the events and cancellation of my work so i could be here for this delivery. But Ashley doesn't care that I lost money not working so I could get my “ghosted” delivery. Ridiculous! If you, as a company, drop the ball, I as the paying customer jumping through all of your delivery hoops, should not have to bend over and just take the leftover times when I work. Horrible, customer service. Quick solution: create more time slots rather than 4 hour windows, that way working people can ever get their orders. We have to work inorder to purchase and now i have spent countless hours fixing your mistakes. Are you paying me to figure out YOUR delivery system? Nope. So item is going back to store. If i wanted to wait half a month for it i would have bought online.

Went in to look at the oversized chaise. Was greeted by Marie, one of the managers. Can I just say, the best customer service! As I’m lounging in this amazingly giant chaise, I’m chatting it up with Marie like we are old friends. She was patient and answered my questions on the couch, price, delivery and furniture protection. She made it easy and quick. So much beautiful furniture. Will definitely be going back and taking another look. Needless to say, my oversized chaise will be delivered soon! Literally no better customer service out there. Just walk in and ask for Marie. She’ll make your day and doesn’t pressure into buying anything. She wants you to sit on everything and try it out. Very happy! Can’t wait for my new chaise.
