The online experience including calling in to several numbers was tragic, but Deziree in the Emeryville store made everything right. She was fantastic -- friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, speedy and efficient. I will likely shop for designs online, but whenever I make another purchase from Ashley Furniture, it will most definitely be at their HomeStore.
I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM A 1 STAR FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM TRENT ON 09/17/21. BUT AFTER SPEAKING TO THE STORE MANAGER THAT SAME DAY I DECIDED TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE! AND IM GLAD I DID BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED FROM ANGEL WAS THE BEST! THANK YOU ANGEL FOR MAKING A BAD EXPERIENCE SEEM LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED. I've been looking for a year for a new couch finally decided on a Sectional.looking on websites gives you an idea.so having Two stores in mind Ashley's was the first I went into.mind you these days it's hard mask and all.walking in was my first impression everyone in the store was overly accommodating And very friendly Without being Pushy .I went back to the first person that said Hello to me when I walked in Told Her ( Fanny ) what I was looking for and with in 10 minutes she showed me, what was the Sectional that I bought . It's on its way. The only complaint I have is the Extra Charges You should offer Free Delivery Paying all that money For something and then getting hit with another couple hundred dollars. The 5 year protection plan I feel was worth it.and paid for it. But the Delivery, Ashley, come up with another Plan. Or credit the couple hundred dollars. I mean come on ... George T ORourke Jr

Large store with lots of options. Sales staff is there to help you if you need it, but allow you to browse without being on top of you the entire time. Found a sofa I loved and the best part is that it will be delivered in a week.
Terrible customer service. My mom purchased furniture at this store and she did not receive some of the orders. She wanted a refund of those items. They refunded her partially but not the full amount. We went to the store FIVE times and they said they opened a case for the remaining refund and will call us when it is processed. We paid for the furniture on 8/12/2021 and it's already been a month and we never heard anything back from them. Everytime we called them they said they would call us back, but they never did. What they did was unacceptable and do not ever buy things from them if you don't want to experience the same thing.
Manager doesn't care about the customers or the staff he is rude and stuck up. More concerned with appearance then actual service. If you want a change at this location get new management.
Horrible customer service. I purchased a couch back in may and it was supposed to be delivered after July 4th and never even heard back from them. I called and called and no answer until I went in person just to find out that my couch was discontinued and never told me about it. I waited for more than 3 months for nothing I even made two payments for a couch I never got.. worst experience ever NEVER buying at this store again and do not recommend it 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
They gave me a horrible bed
Don't purchase online. The website is horrible and very unprofessional. I originally submitted an order, but it never registered on the website. Note that the page reloaded and led me to the "confirmation" page. I received no confirmation email and it never showed up on my account orders. I submitted another order a few days later. This took a few days to get a email confirmation and for the order to show up on my account. Afterwards, the order was not shipped/handled on the "estimated" delivery date. Fast forward two weeks past the estimated date. No updates on anything and I called a few times and while their customer service were nice, they really didn't know anything either. Thus, I submitted a request to cancel the order (they literally use google forms). A week later, I received an email that the order was processed and was going to ship out soon. It shouldn't take a week to cancel an order. Through the whole process, I received delay after delay for everything, 24 hour confirmations that never came etc etc etc. As of now, I'm not too sure if I'll get EITHER my furniture OR my refund. Overall, very disappointed. I would recommend not ordering online and saving yourself the headache.
If I could I would have rated it a -1 star. Went in for what I thought would be a quick purchase. All we wanted was a bed frame. We had 3 failed delivery attempts and by the 4th time we just decided to cancel. First time the frame was broken, second time it took 2 additional weeks to get another delivery date and again it was broken so it never made it to us. Third time was another additional week and a half for it to get delivered and when it got here it was incomplete so it didn’t make it out the delivery truck. Aside from the frustration of not receiving what we paid for on time my partner and I missed work the three days we expected the bed to be delivered. Tried calling them for updates and never made it past the automated message. We ended up going to the store 3 times to check on the order and to request a sooner delivery date. After the 3rd time we were fed up and went to request a refund. It has now been 3 weeks since we requested the refund and have yet to receive our money back. Jeff- I have no comment but thank you for your amazing customer service *inserts fake sarcastic smile* To be clear the sales representative, Jose, that helped us was great we have nothing negative to say about him or the female customer service manager.
HORRIBLE! They sat there with me for a hour and had the WRONG # on my account! They they tried to deliver it and obviously since the number they put on the paperwork was wrong I didn’t get my bed….. STILL WAITING … Jose Sanchez thanks for nothing at the emeryville store
The service was good when they were trying to make a sale. Then I was told my sofa and love seat set would be delivered 2 months out, fine. We waited. We got rid of our sectional the morning of delivery. When they came, only my love seat was delivered. The driver wasn't sure why my sofa wasn't he said they would call or email me soon. I got no info. We called 2days later were told to expect an email within 24hours. After a week and no word, I finally called again and was told my sofa wouldn't be until 3more months. No apology, no notification. I had to chase people down to get info. I paid for my set with debit card and I wanted my money back. Told them I need my money back asap as I have a family of 5 and a newborn And we have nowhere to sit. 4 days later still no money back. There service is trash
I came to this store and asked them to only sell me a couch that is in stock. What do they do? Sell me one not in stock. Then the day of my delivery my order never came, I realized the store has no phone number, corporate could not reach them for anything. I continued to call when my order never arrived after I confirmed it. I ended up going to the actual store in order to speak with them since they do not have an active phone number. My order was then pushed back 5 weeks. The store is supposed to notify you of these changes and failed to, it was overall a very upsetting experience with terrible customer service. Do not buy anything here if it’s on sale, you’ll pay the price in stress
