I ordered a couch months ago and it never came in. I was told it would come at latest by 9/4. I called back and they said "for sure" by 9/16... it still didn't come. I called again, they said 10/17. So I canceled it and have been waiting a week for my refund now... it still hasn't come through. Not only that, but no one answers when I call the store so I get transferred to customer care who repeatedly tells me they can't do anything. This is the worst experience I have ever had trying to buy furniture- do yourself a favor and shop anywhere else.
Bad customer service and horrible estimated times of delivery. We are currently still waiting for our couch that we ordered the first week of July (it is currently September 12th). The day of our delivery (via text) we had to reach out to them to get a delivery window and they pushed it back 3 more days.
Staff were attentive and efficient. They worked hard to give us the best deal possible. They were fun to work with. Ashley was less expensive than surrounding stores and the furniture was good quality.
My experience with Ashley's furniture in Emeryville has been very disappointing. They have no communication skills and are very unorganized. We have been without a couch for more than 2 months because of their lack of responsibility. They've reassured us, multiple times, that our couch was coming when in reality, it was never even shipped. They changed the date on us multiple times, and when the day of delivery finally came, they called me to say it still hadn't been shipped and I had had enough. I asked for my refund and even that seems to be something they are unable to do with ease. They were so eager to take my money on the spot and now they're giving me the run around to get my money back, even though this wasn’t our fault. I can’t see myself shopping here again nor do I feel the need to recommend them to anyone.
Don’t get me wrong this is the best Ashley store I’ve been to. The inventory and the customer service is excellent. However, why sell furniture at high prices that you don’t have. My daughters bed set was scheduled for delivery yesterday and all they brought were dressers. I asked where was the bed set and the driver explained that it was on back order because it’s missing ONE piece and it won’t arrive until some time in October. OCTOBER !!!! We ordered and paid for this in July. Needless to say I’m beyond upset. There’s no urgency, care, concern or compensation for this inconvenience so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
I was very fortunate to get Arron Curry as my sales associate. He gave me his undivided attention for about two hours and helped me to select the perfect dining room table and living room suite. Although it did help that I came prepared with room measurements and photos, he was able to quickly assess my space and come up with great solutions for my particular needs. He has a great eye for color and style and also gave me the best price for this high-quality furniture. His customer service skills are outstanding and he gave me honest advice about the options that were available. I highly recommend this store if you're in the market for new furniture.
Bad return service. I got a coffee table and returned it before delivery in Jan 2020. It is September now and we are still waiting for the return money!! Its been several calls to the customer service over the last 7 months and they are still processing it!!
Called several times, they don't answer. Left a voice mail and no one calls back.
First off I would like to say how pleased I was with my in store experience. Maryann and Manager Thomas were excellent sales persons very informative on products in and off the floor along with any promotions being offered. There was no pressure into buying which also made it very easy to decide wether buy or pass and I Bought! Very pleased with my selections thank you guys so much.
Ashley furniture store in Emeryville has been a go to place for me to buy furniture at reasonable prices. The sales people are very helpful and knowledgeable. My favorite purchase was a wood bedroom set painted in white.
Staff are nice in general, but they have crazy markups here. Make sure you check online prices before putting in the order.
Made an appointment. Check in was quick. I was told that "sales associate A" was going to be right with me, nope. 2 other sales associates "checked-in" on me by asking how I was doing, when I answered fine, before I could ask them about some chairs I was looking at, they hurried off to help others. Maybe because I looked young and didn't look like I was gonna make them a sale, they didn't give me much thought. After an hour of looking around and making a final decision, I stood in one area waiting for someone to actually help me, I had to steal a sales associate from another customer to make my purchase. I'll just buy online next time, if there will be another time.
Service was good when they actually got to me. They were understaffed it seemed. Sales person was helpful when I was serviced. They have good deals going on right now.
We had an excellent shopping experience-our salesperson, Richard, was completely professional and helpful!
Very helpful people. Not pushy at all, that was nice. They were friendly and took their time. We really like the warranty too.
