The store representative showed me kitchen chairs, while I looked around further as a second option. Once done, I said, I will like the ones he should be at first. The order was placed. After further thought that evening I decided to call the store, to further learn the sales rep. did not place the order for the agreed upon item. I am so happy for Thomas. His customer service is stellar! Thank you Thomas for your patience, kindness and easy to work with to get me what I wanted from the the start. Order is slated to arrive next week and trust that will be indeed the right chairs.

We ordered a sofa from this store and recieved no communication about our delivery and their phone number is automated with no staff to answer. Our couch was delivered ONE WEEK LATE and the first delivery attempt REFUSED to bring it up further than three floors EVEN THOUGH they knew what apartment floor our address was at.
Fernando was great and helped my fiancé and I find the perfect bed and frame! The whole process was seamless and we managed to get exactly what we wanted super efficiently! We will be back again!

I had a great experience so far with my purchase at this store. Sherrie was wonderful and very helpful. She guided us through all the furniture we were looking for, giving us all the pro and cons according to our needs, and the delivery was able to be rescheduled for before the time they had expected. I haven’t received the mattress yet, but I will update if anything goes wrong.

My last visit at the emeryville location was my third visit there. I was waiting for the Memorial Day sale, however the items that I purchased weren’t discounted 👇 Meanwhile, overall all staff were polite and certainly they all acknowledged my presence, even though I was waiting for my sales person to arrive , twice… Please note I am a previous customer there and it’s a huge difference now overall with regard to service, staff and follow up‼️

We went in to this location to see a few couches we saw online. Upon entering the store Sherrie greeted us and informed us of the various styles of couches they had in store. Of course we were super indecisive a d circled the store a few times before actually agreeing on a couch. But Sherrie made to check in with us every so often to answer any questions we had. She completed our purchase and completely scheduled us with home delivery and set up. We had amazing experience and she was extremely supportive and approachable.

Second update: the regional manager eventually reached out to offer a special deal. It seems near impossible to purchase furniture over the phone if you want to order to a different billing from Ashley Furniture. It’s unfortunate that their systems don’t support this more because it reflects on their associates as bad customer service. Hopefully they will improve their systems or train their employees better to not accept phone orders that will end up being canceled. Our furniture did arrive with a small amount of damage that is irreparable. This has been such a nightmare but ultimately I’m happy I got the couches I so badly wanted. Don’t expect much from the $200 delivery you are forced to pay for because it is via a third party. The delivery did arrive on time but again, they mishandled our furniture (dropped it off the back of the truck rather than lowering it to the ground) and they also scratched a wall in our new apartment. First Update: They canceled our order for the second time without calling us or communicating at all. I had to reach out to Sherrie via text who indicated that she was aware of the situation because their manager (Kelly) called her to tell her about it that morning. Why she didn't call US, the customers paying for and expecting the furniture NEXT WEEK, is a mystery to me. The weirdest part of this is, they say they can't verify our information with the bank. We called the bank and they never received an inquiry from Ashley Furniture and said that this transaction wouldn't be flagged and it shouldn't be an issue. It's as if this team is trying to make this the worst experience possible and trying to deliver horrible service. This place is SO sketchy, look at their reviews on all platforms and do what I didn't --- BELIEVE THEM. They are pretty telling of what you can expect from this store. Red flags everywhere, I'm not sure how this store is in business. They will not contact me or answer my phone calls, really bad response from a business that failed to serve the customer. Considering reporting this store to the better business bureau. Old review: Sherrie is the only reason we are attempting to complete our purchase with Ashley Furniture. After a nightmare sales experience with Jimmy and another sales associate (who had the audacity to cancel our order when I mentioned that I planned to call the store the next day to do so because they had blatantly lied to me,) this store should feel thankful for our business and even more so for Sherrie and Kelly saving the day. They were both very kind and wanted to help make the situation right. They also had the knowledge and ability to do so (so far, so good) but I will feel relieved if we actually receive our furniture. Will update this review accordingly. If you plan to shop at this store, reconsider.

Delivery service is slow. I ordered a rug on Feb 12th and it's still not here.
The sales person (Miriam) was extremely professional. My reason for only 4 stars is due to the delivery fee of $100.00. Why not contract with Amazon? I think that would increase sales.

Do not shop at this store. They have poor customer service. I spent all day waiting for a delivery that was scheduled 3 weeks ago, on furniture I already paid for, to find out nothing could be delivered today. I got the run around from the 800# customer service rep and the store manager. They do not care at all about the customer's experience. The furniture seems to be good quality, but kind of pricey. For the amount of money we paid you think they would provide better customer service and support once the purchase has been made. I will not return here and highly recommend that you shop elsewhere.

UPDATE! DO NOT SHOP ASHLEY. STEER AWAY FROM THE LIARS AT THE EMERYVILLE LOCATION...only the sale matters to them. The purchase pieces were too big for our living space. We called then visited the Emeryville, CA Ashley location within the 72hr return/exchange window. Mark the Emeryville Manger and Francisco a sales representative, assured us we'd be approved to return two pieces and be reimbursed. Because of this assurance we purchase two end pieces to complete a love seat. Thursday of the same week I received a call requesting I respond to an email with images and serial numbers for the pending return items. This was done, receipt was confirmed and now we were waiting for pickup confirmation and reimbursement. The follow Sunday, I received an email from Ashley customer service advising we were not eligible for return. I immediately phoned the Emeryville store and spoke to Mark. He needed to look into the decline and call me back. After no call I phone on Tuesday and was told Mark was OOO until the coming Saturday. Francisco then tried to assist and failed forcing us to wait until Mark's return. Mark had provided us with his personal cell so we sent a text on Sunday. He called us back advising he had been on vacation in Mexico and was now sick. The back and forth continued until Mark confirmed via text that no refund will be applied. Now we have two additional pieces which cost twice as much as the pieces that were to be returned. DO NOT SHOP ASHLEY AND STEER AWAY FROM THE LIARS AT THE EMERYVILLE LOCATION...only the sale matters to them. From the moment my husband and I entered the store, Morena was ready. She welcomed us and shared the floor plan for furniture and decor. We were looking for a leather sectional. Morena remained near the entire time and was ready to answer questions. If I could give this location a negative zero I would. Louie, the Store Manager is extremely rude, argumentative, and condescending. He constantly talks over me He desperately needs training how to service, and retain loyal customers. In my case I spent a good amount of money at this location $13,000. All of Customer Service issues are outsourced overseas. Huge language barrier. Good luck receiving customer support after you seal the deal. The store sales team are nowhere to be found if you run into any problems. You never get any returned calls from Louie the Store Managers. In fact, after 3 years of numerous arguments, and lack of communication with this location. I REFUSE to do business with them. NEVER again will I spend 1 penny at ANY Ashley Retail Stores. . By no means “it’s a pleasant experience “ Ashley continues to promote false advertising in my personal drawn out experience. I received a response from this post a week ago. I responded with a lengthy email as requested. I was under the impression I was finally being heard. NOT the case at all. I never received a reply nor a resolution. In fact, I made it known to Louie I would seek legal advice. His response “Go ahead. I don’t care.” This has to be the most frustrating, and aggravating situation I’ve ever dealt with thus far. Save yourself a headache, Do some research on BBB website before your purchase. Read all the open and closed claims. Consistent bad reviews, and personal experiences don’t lie.

The Manager in this store is extremely rude and passive aggressive. I ordered a chaise from here and it came in poor condition. When I tried coming to the store their manager was extremely rude to me and told me there was nothing they could do about it. Save your time and money. Do not come to this location. Morena is excellent. She was the first person to greet us at the door and showed us patients, kindness, and an amazing personality. She is very knowledgeable of the the merchandise and helped is find what our needed.

Went to another location to buy a bedroom set, rugs, dressers and decor. However, there was no help offered after wondering around for awhile and nobody greeted us. The customer service that I experienced at the other location was much better. This was a bad experience in Emeryville, CA. We had to hunt someone down for help to check out and was inform that there were only two people working. At least ask if help is needed or let people that "we'll be with you shortly, there's a wait," "how can I help you?." Show some interest to others instead of watching customers walk around the store and chatting in the back with coworkers. So instead of looking for a bedroom set, rugs and dressers, I left with some decor items I was carrying around instead of spending more money. I'll shop elsewhere for the rest of my furniture.

Very BAD!! If I could give 0 stars I would., 1 is too many for this location. On 11/17, I purchased a sofa and 2 sofa chairs. Was told by the sales person there that my sofa would be delivered on 11/21st and the 2 sofa chairs would be delivered on 12/2 only to get my receipt stating that all 3 will be delivered on 12/5. . when I asked the sales person about it, he said he would fix it and call me back. Never received the call back every time I called to talk to him., he was unavailable. Still have not received a call back as of today 11/20 and the order was placed 11/.17. Found out that my order will not actually be delivered until December 27th a whole entire month. I would not have purchased it there. I would have gone elsewhere because I needed furniture in my brand new apartment. Now we'll have to have Thanksgiving dinner sitting on the floor thanks to Ashley furniture and they're dishonest staff. Don't shop there, go to a different location and especially do not work with Fernando. He still has not returned my call. explaining to me why he could not or would not fix the delivery date issue.

I received four calls instead of Ashley delivering the package, in my experience they knock on the door to deliver not call you a bunch of times, I confirmed the delivery two times this week and I received 3 texts to survey my experience before the delivery, all of that is not necessary, just need a call to confirm the delivery and one text for the survey, try knocking on the door to deliver the package

First and foremost this rating is NOT directed to our Saleswoman Mary Ann. She was incredibly helpful & supportive. 5 stars to Her. However, My partner and I had a very disappointing experience at Ashley’s furniture homestore located in Emeryville. As we arrive to pick up our already paid for furniture that we had bought the day before, we encountered an upset staff member who started speaking and being very condescending to our saleswoman Mary Ann in front of us which was very unprofessional & made us uncomfortable. This seemed to be a recurring issue amongst all coworkers as they were on the side gossiping, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Additionally, If you are planning on buying from this store you better prepare on having helping hands to load up your vehicle because this store doesn’t have anyone to carry out ur furniture on certain days of the week. and even the sales men here will just stand and watch you struggle because it’s not “their job” to help. There were about 3 men and they did nothing, Our Saleswoman Mary Ann did everything possible to make sure we had a smooth & easy experience from the very start up. Including when we were loading our vehicle. she went the extra mile to help us. THANK YOU MARY ANN!

My review is not about any products that sold by Ashley store, my review is based on a car accident I almost had with a Ashley Store Truck, while driving behind the truck I found the Emeryville store to notify them of my morning experience with there drivers the woman on the phone told me that there is nothing that she could do and she totally apologize I explained to her that the drivers should be pulling up in the Emeryville location shortly because I was behind them she told me there was nothing she could do and sorry so I decided to give Ashley store a review about this it was two gentlemen of a Hispanic or white decent no more than 5min ago. They Are Going To Hurt Someone And Your Store Will Be To Blame.
Wonderful service
I bought the Keener sectional at the end of April, it was delivered in May. The chaise portion of the couch was completely destroyed and there was exposed wood/screws (see photos). It took Ashley a month to arrange a replacement. In the 6 months we have owned the couch, it is pilling on all of the seating cushions, between the cushions and the fabric is thinning (see photos). Very disappointed that our new couch already looks 10 years old. This sectional was poor quality for the price. Ashley will not publish my review on their website.

First time buyer at Ashley’s. My wife and I were looking for a new living room couch and was helped by Mary Ann, an employee at Ashley’s. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and able to help us find what we were looking for. We later got a really nice wooden dresser and a convertible sofa bed. She was able to get us good pricing for all the items. Happy with the service overall.
I walked in Ashley Store to look at dining room furniture. I didn't plan on purchasing it that day, Ashley Store had a special so I was able to purchase it the same day.

I arrived at the store, there was a guy at the door who greeted me, “welcome to Ashley” I asked where were the mattresses, he lead the way. He eventually proceeded my order, got me discounts on the order and delivery and was a nice guy. However, I would have rather given my business to a female worker rather than a male. But it was late, I was tired and I didn’t know how to do that and not insult the male.
The Emeryvile store was great. Professional, polite and a pleasure to work with. Do not go to the rohnert park store. I did not trust the interaction I had with them so I took my business elsewhere.

My wife and I were looking for a sofa for our cabin near Lake Tahoe. We went to the Emeryville store and were promptly greeted by someone who asked what we were looking for. She pointed out the area where the sofas were and we found one that would work for us. We went to the saleswoman and told her we found a sofa, and that we would like it to be delivered to the cabin, and she said they do deliveries their 2x a month, and looked to see when it could be delivered, She came back with a day about 10 days away, which was perfect for us. All in all it was a good experience.

Came here for a new couch, not really knowing what we were looking for. Mary Ann was very helpful, and helped us find exactly what we wanted! Great experience. Just a tip if you get the delivery - they start calling you telling you they'll be there in 10 minutes over an hour before they'll actually be there, so you should just ignore the automated calls until a human calls you.

So far 5 star. I'll update if my delivery goes bad. I ordered a sleeper sofa and barstools. Sadly the sleeper can't be delivered for another month due to supply, but that's the same no matter where I looked for this couch. Had a hiccup with billing, but when I returned they fixed it immediately.

Delivery fee a bit high, but worth it. Looking forward to my new furniture arriving this week! Time from order to delivery could have been only a couple of days, except I had them wait a couple. Great place to buy after visiting many other showrooms of competitors.

I had purchased a couch from them, which was delivered to my home by their third party delivery company. Unfortunately, the couch did not fit in my room. I was told that if that happens the people who delivered the furniture can put it back into their truck. When I asked the guys if they can return it, they immediately ran out of my apartment and refused to speak to me. After a week of nonstop calling finally another company picked up the couch. However, it has been a month of trying to call Ashley’s, be put on hold for almost up to an hour, and being told someone will call me back. I have still not got my refund for my couch. I refused to buy any furniture from Ashley’s after this. Still awaiting my refund of my couch which they have now but I haven’t gotten my money back despite of calling and waiting for someone to give me answers. I was last told it would take 7-10 business days, and it has been long overdue. Ashley’s, you are very unprofessional, poor customer service, and scammers

The store is nice. The ladies at the front were much more helpful in holding doors open while I carried out purchased floor sample chairs. Jimmy could have acted more grateful of the sale no matter how small it was. I waited for a chair to be removed from a wall. I was finally told that it was off the wall and on the floor. I commented that it should have bring brought to the front where I was waiting for it. I went to the back of the store. Picked up the chair and carried it out. Not very good customer service.

Their selection is good. Location is ideal for us. However, I highly dislike how aggressive their sales people are. I barely walk two feet into the store and they are IN MY FACE, and then when they show me options for what I look for, instead of giving us space to look and try, they just stand there. Im literallt being watched. I don’t need the car salesman style. It is off-putting. Give me my space. You should re-train your staff now to hound customers. It looks desperate and tacky.

She worked with me and informed me about the best financing options that would help fit my credit criteria. She's so welcoming and helpful. I found a beautiful set within my budget. Friendly staff, great promotions and multiple financing and leasing options. Very helpful, friendly, and patient staff, they're not pushy for a sale. Jamika Wilson, whom is the office supervisor had excellent customer service when assisting me with my final contract as well as my delivery information. It was a breeze working with all four team members from different departments. I highly recommend this location.
This specific store doesnt deserved even one star, they all messed up and even have the guts to blame the customers of their own mistakes and miscommunications from purchasing to delivery. What irrate me more is no one wants to take responsiblity and make some actions but instead the staffs makes you feel like either stupid or a theft in front of them. If I could I would leave 0 stars. We went in on a Sunday to buy a reclining loveseat. The salesperson was extremely eager to assist. We picked one, ordered, paid, was told it would take 2 days for delivery and that someone would have to be present at the delivery address all day. Took that Tuesday off of work. Wasted an entire pay day. When I went to check delivery time, I noticed they were planning on delivering a sofa, not the loveseat we ordered. Called the store immediately, in case it was a glitch or I read wrong. Turned out our salesman did indeed order a sofa, not a loveseat. And there was nothing to be done about it for delivery that day. But of course he was assisting another customer and was unable to speak with me at the moment. The lady I spoke with said she would fix it but we would have to wait 2 more days for delivery. I expressed to her that it was not possible to take another day off work. She said she would set it up for Saturday. So Saturday delivery was scheduled. Received a confirmation text on Wednesday. Confirmed yes. And that was that. No more communication. Today is Saturday, got the house ready for delivery, called to check what time the truck would be here and THERE IS NO SCHEDULED DELIVERY FOR MY ADDRESS. I began trying to contact anyone to find out what was going on, no answer at the store. Customer service said there was an original order set for delivery but was cancelled. No reorder. Are you serious ASHLEY??? After a couple of hours back and forth with customer service, then finally someone picks up the phone at the store, nothing.... They wouldn't connect me with a manager. Put me on hold for 20 minutes, and then I get "we apologize for the inconvenience"..... Told her to cancel the order and immediately refund the $2600 purchase. I don't know why it wasn't already refunded since it was cancelled on TUESDAY. Was told it would take 3-5 business days for my bank to receive the funds!???? Long story short, DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY HOME FURNITURE. I'm out a days pay from work AND a loveseat. Thanks Ashley, for nothing

I've been looking for a specific type of couch for a while now. I wanted it to be 80"-90" wide, modern style, have a high but not too high seat height, and have firm but not too firm cushions. I didn't want to buy online because I wanted to be able to try all these features out. I went to West Elm and Ikea. West Elm's couches all felt low to the ground and expensive and they didn't seem to have many of the ones on their website available in store. Then I went to IKEA and liked some couches but read reviews online that the couches start to have issues within a year. Then I finally decided to go to Ashley, a furniture store I had never considered before because I thought it was for an older crowd. I was so pleasantly surprised by how many different types of sofas they had in-store to try out and how high quality yet within my budget and preferences they were, I also found good reviews of the sofa I liked online, and they also added a five year insurance to my purchase which made me feel more secure in my decision. I was able to buy a sofa right there and then and schedule a delivery that worked with my schedule. I'm looking forward to enjoying my new couch soon.

Very nice furniture. Very poor customer service. I spoke to someone 2 days ago and was told my delivery would be today 11/9. That's even the date I was given at the time I ordered. I haven't received a call yet to get a delivery time. When I tried to track my order online it can't even be found by phone number, or order number!! I tried to call no one answered so I did the online chat. The rep there tells me my stuff is arriving to the warehouse today and will be delivered in 2 days. I took off work to be home when it arrives. Why would they tell me it's coming one day and not notify me of any changes!? It's literally been 2 days since I was told that it would be delivered to my home today! From looking at the other reviews this type of stuff is common, and the owners obviously don't care. I only see the owner responding to the positive comments. Resolving problems is not their priority.
I was greeted upon entry by Mary Anne who asked us what we were looking for. She showed us one couch that fit our needs then let us look around. We did not feel pressured to buy anything so it was a comfortable shopping experience and we left with the couch we wanted that would be delivered to us.

Store manager has never fixes the issue with the purchase my parents made. We've made several attempts. We've been in the store and I've sent several emails to store manager, Cory Cunningham. When we went into the store he told us that the correct bed would be delivered the following week. It never happened. He responded to a couple of emails But now it's been a few months and he won't respond. I WOULD NEVER GOBACK AND DEFINITELY NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SHOP THERE ITS RIDICULOUS!! THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY NON ENGLIGH SPEAKING PARENTS. I'm still trying to fix this for my parents.

I took my sister to the Emeryville store four weeks ago and she ordered a complete living set, which was due to be delivered August 17. After calling the store for about a week she finally talked to someone and was told that the delivery has been delayed until September 1. After reading the reviews from other customers Ashley is notorious for months of having delays. Recommending that my sister cancel her order asap.
Sales rep was not friendly. Barley spoke to me. Told me I would get a 10% discount then when I made the purchase she wouldn't honor it. I'm surprised at the lack of customer service when I could have bought on line and she wouldn't have gotten a commission.
Super cute furniture!!! Ask for Roy. He’s awesome!!! He showed me all the couches that he thought would look good in my new place and I love his style. I’m getting a couch that feels like sitting on a teddy bear. It’s that comfortable. And the pattern is cool. Not a typical boring one. They have cute coffee tables and dining room sets too. The prices, especially during the month of July, are super affordable. Plus they have a 0% interest card for either 24 or 60 months depending on how much you spend. Super happy I found this place on Google!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The store managers here are horrible, after you pay for the furniture they start treating you like trash. We were lied to about the delivery of our bed - we ordered end of May and they told us it would be delivered mid June. We called in June to confirm, then they told us due to supply chain issues they will now deliver END of July. its been over 2.5 months, no bed, no calls from them, not even a single apology. When we ask for a discount, the store manager forwarded us to a lady who barely spoke english and the communication was brutal. Oh and the discount was $70 for a $1400 purchase order. Horrible customer service, avoid ashleys at all cost and especially the emeryville one.
Unfortunately had a bad experience with ordering furniture from this location. Dresser delivered damaged, took 9 months to get the issue resolved which included me keeping the damaged item due to issues 5 times that included fake delivery, and trying to deliver a damaged replacement dresser that I denied. After weeks of trying to get the issue resolved with customer service and going to the store I finally received an appeasement (payment) to keep the damaged item.
Terrible customer service. Called the store for help on a chair we wanted to buy and had looked at the prior week. Apparently I asked too many questions about the difference between buying online and buying in the store, because they hung up on me after being pretty rude initially. Found a better chair online from article.com and won't be shopping here ever. If I do, it would be online only. Don't waste time buying in the store.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The staff doesn’t have the answers to any questions - they have to keep relying on the manager who is only one person. When they say they’ll call you they never do and when I call they keep putting me on hold and disconnecting my call without ever speaking to me.

They've got a huge selection of indoor furniture (outdoor, not so much). We've now bought 2 couches from this place and have been really pleased with the experience. Lonnie helped us - he's a superstar salesman. He was great about showing us around the showroom, really listened to what we wanted, and overall was so helpful. Note: most items aren't available same day. You have to pick out what you want, order from the store, and wait for it to be delivered (anywhere from 1-8 weeks, depending on availability).

Thanks to her we found exactly what we were looking for right at our price range. I was also a bit hesitant to order furniture from them since I did see some bad reviews and I know due to the pandemic it really is something out of their hands. People don’t realize that many companies are extremely short staff due to the pandemic and many shipments are delayed because of it. Being the open minded person that I am I decided to give them a chance and they gave me an estimate of when my furniture will get here. Not only did it come in earlier than expected but there was communication which was very important for me. We originally ordered a 6 piece sectional from Ashley in 2017 and purchased a 5 year warranty. The couch recliner broke, and the part was discontinued. After 6 months of frustration with the Warranty Company we thought hope was lost. Luckily Corey C, Sales Manager from the Emeryville store took the initiative to make this right. He was able to get us a replacement couch at no cost, and ultimately took responsibility to ensure the warranty we paid for provider a working replacement. Corey is a true professional in a time when many were pointing fingers. Thanks for your customer service and help Corey.

Horrible service and communication, I spent over 10k on furniture they kept pushing out the date, and delayed my refund as well....we slept on the floor for almost 2 months the manager Jimika customer service is horrible

I had no idea how much I would enjoy my time at Ashley furniture. I walked through the door with minimal expectations. The staff took a no pressure approach that made me feel very comfortable. As I took my time viewing all of the wonderful options, the members of the staff were always near by to answer questions and offer assistance. A special shout-out to Mr. Sanchez, he was very friendly and professional. He made my purchase a great experience.

They didn't seem terribly interested in our need-for-a-sofa business and had nothing in stock that could be delivered in less than 6 weeks except one brown leather monstrosity so, no thank you.
I had cancelled an order back in October because the product that was delivered was the wrong product submitted by the sales team team at this location. Mistakes happen, so I completely understood and the delivery company was able to open a case for me for a refund and an agent from Ashley called me right away to help get the right product and said they would call me back in three days. Unfortunately from there, I never received any follow up three days later. so 7 days later called again to confirm that I would be getting a refund. Was then told that was submitted and would talk 14 days to receive the refund. I have yet to receive any refund from them and have tried to call multiple times. Overall my experience ordering furniture online was 100% better. Highly recommend looking in store if you want to see furniture in person, but purchasing online for fast delivery and service
Horrible store and staff. They delivered the couch to the wrong address and blamed it on us. There place has a bunch of liars, they will do anything to not take the blame. Honestly they are a bunch of A-holes, especially black lady there and the supervisor, terrible people and liars.
We received excellent service from Mary Ann Cheddadi (salesperson) and Cory (the store manager). Very satisfied with the quality and pricing of the reclining sofa package and dining room set that we purchased. Just one recommendation for the store: have some extra masks available for customers who need them.
Giving my best reviews to Mary Ann and Marie, as well as their very helpful staff, for assisting us on getting our first furnitures for our new home. It's been hard for all of us during this times of the pandemic but they've all still managed to help us the best they can on providing us the best service. GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH AMBER. I had just moved to SF and had no furniture. I tried about 3 different stores and there was nothing in stock and couldn't seem to get any help. I walked into Ashley HomeStore and Amber greeted us right away to ask what we were looking for. Then it was right to work! She went through every. single. piece. in that store to help us find the right one. One of the best shopping outcomes/experiences I've ever had.

I was looking for couches and dining table .so he was helpful all the time so I end up getting a living room set and a dining table. Bid purchase by the way . When I was going to pay The lady that works I guess for pay method wasssss suuuuper rude bad attitude like she was so rude to Ángel I did not like her attitude at all she told him don’t get other clients that do cash I did with cash I told them a day ahead I was paying with cash they said is fine . she was probably mad she had to count the money She did not say thank you like she was the owner if she was the owner she should’ve act like that She was yelling for some Cody So load yes Iam upset with her attitude so rude no patients at all ! Fantastic experience once again. Rahwa met us at the door with a warm smile and friendly greeting. We knew exactly what we wanted to buy today, we told Rahwa, and she led us right to what we wanted. She was wonderful! She showed us several dining room sets and while she showed us several styles, we did not feel pressured at all. Rahwa was patient and warm, she was an expert at her inventory, and very quickly helped us find exactly what we wanted. We will use Ashley for all of our furniture needs!
Went to the store to check some drawers. Everything was on sale for 55%. Basically, they increased prices so much that after the discount, it is still more expensive compared to online purchase. Complete BS.
I went in once before and got this guy that hovered and was push and didn’t know any answers to the questions I had. This time I got a really nice lady who looked up the answers to my questions and was super helpful and not pushy. I’m so glad I got her the second time or I would have gone somewhere else completely. There were 4 staff members standing around when I got there(one being the annoying guy) and she was the only one to greet me. I’m glad she got the commission from me. It’s only 4 stars because the annoying guy the first time and the fact that on the second time only the woman helping me greeted me. She wasn’t even in the front. She was probably 1/3 inside the store and still greeted me and was helpful. As someone who used to work customer service, I’m really disappointed in the other staff.
Your experience will vary depending on which employee helps you. Some are great and some are not so great. The furniture seems good but the customization leaves a bit to be desired in terms of color and fabric. If the piece of furniture you want is in stock, they can deliver it scary fast which is great but if not then it might take a while due to shipping delays (late 2021 when posting). My advice is to take it with a grain of salt, you might find what you're looking for, maybe not.
The rep who I dealt with was not familiar with your product delivery. I gave him ample opportunities to upsale me becuase I wanted to purchase my entire living room set. He was incorrect about who would be delivering it and he was incorrect about pieces being delivered. I will be filing a complaint with corporate and BBB.

Lonnie took the time to talk with me and asked exactly what I was looking for including my price range. To my surprise I found my perfect sectional, color and all. Spent some time selecting couches and dining room furniture yesterday and was quite pleased by the experience. We had spent hours looking on Sunday, but didn't buy then, but returned on-a-mission Monday with our room specs and a tape measure. Francisco greeted us yesterday and was refreshingly hands-off until we needed him, at which point he answered all our questions. When the time came to purchase, he also remained flexible to meet our needs and was able to extend us significant discounts so we could get what we selected along with the protection plan. Can't wait for our furniture to be delivered!
We just moved to Oakland and we needed new living room furniture. We decide to see what was available at this location, we found a nice couch & love seat on sale. Fany, our sales person was wonderful, she was very welcoming and patient, she helped us find the furniture we were looking for. I totally recommend store, and Fany of course!
Incompetent bunch of people. The entire Ashley Homestore enterprise is incompetent, dishonest, impatient, and disrespectful. I have a recliner that does not have any arm rests for over a month now. Funny enough, the buttons for controlling the recliner is built on the arm rest. No one from Ashely knows why the recliner seats don't come with arm rests. The warehouse tells me one story and the sales person tells me another. What's even worse, the delivery guys had the audacity to bring us wrong items and lie to our faces saying that they are the correct items. Don't buy from Ashely Homestore. Their customer service will let you down over and over again. Delivery guys also broke our house and Ashley has yet to reimburse us, it's been 2 months. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY. The most incompetent and irresponsible enterprise ever.

The online experience including calling in to several numbers was tragic, but Deziree in the Emeryville store made everything right. She was fantastic -- friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, speedy and efficient. Terrible customer service. My mom purchased furniture at this store and she did not receive some of the orders. She wanted a refund of those items. They refunded her partially but not the full amount. We went to the store FIVE times and they said they opened a case for the remaining refund and will call us when it is processed. We paid for the furniture on 8/12/2021 and it's already been a month and we never heard anything back from them. Everytime we called them they said they would call us back, but they never did. What they did was unacceptable and do not ever buy things from them if you don't want to experience the same thing.
Manager doesn't care about the customers or the staff he is rude and stuck up. More concerned with appearance then actual service. If you want a change at this location get new management.

I've been looking for a year for a new couch finally decided on a Sectional.looking on websites gives you an idea.so having Two stores in mind Ashley's was the first I went into.mind you these days it's hard mask and all.walking in was my first impression everyone in the store was overly accommodating And very friendly Without being Pushy .I went back to the first person that said Hello to me when I walked in Told Her ( Fanny ) what I was looking for and with in 10 minutes she showed me, what was the Sectional that I bought . It's on its way. The only complaint I have is the Extra Charges You should offer Free Delivery Paying all that money For something and then getting hit with another couple hundred dollars. The 5 year protection plan I feel was worth it.and paid for it. But the Delivery, Ashley, come up with another Plan. Or credit the couple hundred dollars. I mean come on ... George T ORourke Jr
They gave me a horrible bed
Don't purchase online. The website is horrible and very unprofessional. I originally submitted an order, but it never registered on the website. Note that the page reloaded and led me to the "confirmation" page. I received no confirmation email and it never showed up on my account orders. I submitted another order a few days later. This took a few days to get a email confirmation and for the order to show up on my account. Afterwards, the order was not shipped/handled on the "estimated" delivery date. Fast forward two weeks past the estimated date. No updates on anything and I called a few times and while their customer service were nice, they really didn't know anything either. Thus, I submitted a request to cancel the order (they literally use google forms). A week later, I received an email that the order was processed and was going to ship out soon. It shouldn't take a week to cancel an order. Through the whole process, I received delay after delay for everything, 24 hour confirmations that never came etc etc etc. As of now, I'm not too sure if I'll get EITHER my furniture OR my refund. Overall, very disappointed. I would recommend not ordering online and saving yourself the headache.
If I could I would have rated it a -1 star. Went in for what I thought would be a quick purchase. All we wanted was a bed frame. We had 3 failed delivery attempts and by the 4th time we just decided to cancel. First time the frame was broken, second time it took 2 additional weeks to get another delivery date and again it was broken so it never made it to us. Third time was another additional week and a half for it to get delivered and when it got here it was incomplete so it didn’t make it out the delivery truck. Aside from the frustration of not receiving what we paid for on time my partner and I missed work the three days we expected the bed to be delivered. Tried calling them for updates and never made it past the automated message. We ended up going to the store 3 times to check on the order and to request a sooner delivery date. After the 3rd time we were fed up and went to request a refund. It has now been 3 weeks since we requested the refund and have yet to receive our money back. Jeff- I have no comment but thank you for your amazing customer service *inserts fake sarcastic smile* To be clear the sales representative, Jose, that helped us was great we have nothing negative to say about him or the female customer service manager.

I came to this store and asked them to only sell me a couch that is in stock. What do they do? Sell me one not in stock. Then the day of my delivery my order never came, I realized the store has no phone number, corporate could not reach them for anything. I continued to call when my order never arrived after I confirmed it. I ended up going to the actual store in order to speak with them since they do not have an active phone number. My order was then pushed back 5 weeks. The store is supposed to notify you of these changes and failed to, it was overall a very upsetting experience with terrible customer service. Do not buy anything here if it’s on sale, you’ll pay the price in stress
Large store with lots of options. Sales staff is there to help you if you need it, but allow you to browse without being on top of you the entire time. Found a sofa I loved and the best part is that it will be delivered in a week.
This Ashley furniture store is ok, I’ve been on one occasion and most of the staff was nice there was just one lady who was really rude. The second time I went I Was in the store for 15 minutes and no one offered me any help finally I approach someone and had a really helpful sales person her name was Star and she was awesome.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Everything about this store is horrible. We put an order for a living room set in January, it got delayed-delayed-delayed until finally delivery occurred in July. But the delivery folks were rude and uncooperative - the main sofa did not fit through the door and they were not willing to really try hard anyway. It's been 3-weeks since this happened but we haven't been able to get in touch with the store to get a refund. They just don't pick up phone calls and even their corporate office has tried emailing and calling them, yet no responses. We have no idea what to do to get our money back. This is just blatant daytime robbery at this point. Dont even get me started on the horrible excuse of "professional" service and behavior in store. No one wears their masks over their nose, even after being asked to by multiple customers. And all the sales associates just hang around like they are at a summer BBQ, not really interested in doing any work. It took over 45-min for our sales associate to PUT our order through. Like, are you kidding me? The manager is horrible - we saw him being extremely rude to his staff and another customer. I rue the day we decided to walk into this store. And it looks like we'll need to go back in the store and create a fuss just to get our owed refund. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND GO TO ANOTHER STORE!!! This one sucks.

My salesman greeted me at the front entrance. He was warm friendly and courteous. He jumped right at the opportunity to show me new arrivals to the store. Since I had made my selection on line, he expeditiously rang up my order. At the conclusion of the sale, he walked me through the delivery and set up plans. He also called in a manage to get approval for additional discounts. He was a pleasant person to work with and was full of knowledge and recommendations for merchandise in future purchases. We ordered furniture from Ashley that included delivery and set up. The guy dropped the furniture at our doorstep without taking it to the supposed room without setting it up. You lost a loyal customer Ashley. I know this does not matter to a furniture store but we are not coming back again.
The guys delivering my furniture were awesome and very friendly and professional. However, Ashley pushed my delivery to another day three hours before the delivery window began, so totally messed up that days schedule. The next day, which I had plans that were affected, my furniture was delivered 2 hours later than my window.
Nightmare experience with customer service. We ordered a large sofa set. They sent the wrong ottoman. Then to just get the correct one, it took endless calls, being put on hold. Then after weeks of this, they delivered the ottoman we chose, but still charged us for the larger, more expensive, one. Issue is still unresolved. Avoid Ashley Homestore! If there are any issues with your product there is nobody there to help.
Fernando could not have been more helpful or amazing. Advice but no pressure. We had to come back the following day to make our final decision and he was totally cool about it. He even gave me his direct number in case there are any issues with delivery. The store has a really great selection and very good pricing. The availability was also much better than nearby stores. I went my parents and they are so happy with the experience too. One negative. Store could by more wheelchair accessible in terms of a path of travel.
I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at this store and i would never suggest anyone purchase from here. We came in about a week and a half ago to purchase a sectional sleeper that we needed before our wedding since we have a large amount of family coming to visit. Starkeisha was our sales person. She was very kind and professional and showed us a couch she said she could have delivered to us in less than a week that had everything we wanted, a sectional chaise and sleeper all for around $1690. Fast forward to delivery and the only piece of the couch that came was the sleeper portion and it was LAF instead of RAF. I called customer service to see when the chaise and other portions were coming to find out they were NOT EVEN ORDERED. We were told by customer service to go into the store to be able to complete a return. When we went into the store we were helped by someone sitting at the desk who decided it was more important to take a phone call instead of helping the customer actually in front of him which is a huge customer service no no. He then informed us he wouldn't be able to order us a chaise or a different couch didn't even offer us any options? like he was looking at the same paper we were looking at and telling us what we were telling him. he seemed very unenthusiastic to help us at ALL. then we were told we wouldn't even be in the process to refund them unless someone came to pick it up and that *MIGHT* be in 7 days. We're getting married in 10 and don't have the time to be sorting things out with delivery services. The customer service is 0/10 and i feel like we got scammed completely ... $1600 for just a piece of a sectional and we'll have to make payments on it before it's even processed for a return. Then when someone else i assume was the manager, a younger woman, asked who did the sale and the man responds "the same person as always". so if you know someone is making sales incorrectly to swindle people then why do they work there still?
The salesperson was so wonderful. Friendly, inexperienced, but enthusiastic and willing to go find answers. The manager was so on edge. Not with me personally, but to other customers and to his own staff. Love this place, but I don't care for the service.

The service was good when they were trying to make a sale. Then I was told my sofa and love seat set would be delivered 2 months out, fine. We waited. We got rid of our sectional the morning of delivery. When they came, only my love seat was delivered. The driver wasn't sure why my sofa wasn't he said they would call or email me soon. I got no info. We called 2days later were told to expect an email within 24hours. After a week and no word, I finally called again and was told my sofa wouldn't be until 3more months. No apology, no notification. I had to chase people down to get info. I paid for my set with debit card and I wanted my money back. Told them I need my money back asap as I have a family of 5 and a newborn And we have nowhere to sit. 4 days later still no money back. There service is trash
So I bought some furniture in September 2019 the sales rep sold me with the GBS protection plan. I had to pay $500 for 5yrs furniture protection! It sounded good at the time. Just about four months ago I finally called GBS to set a claim in regards of my furniture they refuse to clean my chairs they did send someone to inspect my furniture he only came in for five minutes and left so I called back and I asked him why didn’t he not clean my furniture when he came in they said we don’t do that we send a technician to inspect the furniture and from there we’ll see if we’re clean based off the pictures and what did the technician says . So I called back to their customer service line and demanded for my refund $500. Three months later I still haven’t gotten my money! No one knows how’s going to pay me back. I have called the Emeryville store in regards of my refund I have called GBS As well as customer service from Ashley furniture for over three months. Then I find out that they prorated the $500 and then they want to credit it back to my Ashley furniture card that I no longer have. Since I payed it off!!! So FYI people don’t buy this protection plan!!! As a past employee of Ashley furniture and as a customer I have never been treated the way I have in the past three in regards of my case….you I would think Ashley furniture and GBS would be helpful but they’re really not.

Many reasons for the 1 star... First the pricing on the store is 100% deceiving to appear like you're getting a better deal (Perfect example is the pictures attached - store says a sofa costs $1400 dollars, but when you go to their OWN website it's $680 - more than a 50% difference!!!). Second we were blatantly misled on when our furniture will actually arrive originally led to believe it would be a month (which is already along time) then told a month and a half which then turned out to be a full 2.5 months. Will never be returning to this store for these reasons and very disappointed in Ashley's lack of integrity and immature pricing games. On a positive note though the staff is very friendly.

So we did. The person at customer service was unaware of the basic of serving Reno I called Sean. He tried to explain to this lady that her location would serve Reno. She immediately asked to speak w someone more professional. I was shocked. Sean spoke w her only as teaching her sometimes she was unaware of. Bothered me since Sean only brought her knowledge and was trying to help us Not only him, but now Pam became involved. I am honored by the perseverance of these two to assist in a mundane purchase of a desk to a customer Thank you Sean, Pam and you Thank you. It meant the world during a challenging move from here to Reno to have an entourage of support The ordeal went further. She now stated that I should return to Sean as they were too busy at Emeryville. I sat w Sean on speaker phone who was trying to assist w a phone order when you came to our rescue. I liked the big selection. Paying for my items was like the twilight zone though. It’s easier to buy a car than to buy a “manager’s special” piece of wall art for $59. Not kidding, 30 minutes of multiple salespeople’s involvement from the time I said what I wanted to buy and the time I walked out the door. Three times entered my personal info into different computer screens. Signed at least five papers. Remember, I’m buying a “floor sample” piece of wall art that weighs less than a pound. I needed to go to a separate station to have the tag cut off...not because I needed help getting the tag off but they insisted it’s part of “the sales process”. Near the end, they made me wait to sign a “congratulations” paper which they first presented to me in spanish. Then they struggled to print an English version. Then they said I didn’t need to sign it after all. Just a very weird experience from start to finish. People seemed nice enough but I’m never going back.
this have been the worst experience I have ever experienced I ordered a sofa on April and they told that the latest that it would be delivered in may 16th and when they didn't deliver it by that time we called them and some said it got canceled which it didn't and some said that we have couple of months and we went to the store 6 or 7 times and they said like we have to wait at least 2 month and that it could be longer that it's not guaranteed. so I just want to say save your money specially if they said that the thing you want is not on the store worst experience.
This has been the worst experience ever with Ashley Homestore!! I rarely write reviews but if I can save anyone this hardship, I really want to help out. I ordered a dresser in early April to match the other two Realyn pieces that I have in my bedroom. When it arrived in April, the legs to the dresser were incorrectly made so we could not attach them to the dresser. The bottom of the dresser was also cracked and busted. Such a disappointment for something that I paid hundreds of $$ for. The next disappointment was the lack of customer service WOW!! I called the Ashley Customer Service the day after the product was delivered in mid April to note the faulty product. I was going to be shipped new parts which would apparently take about 7 days. I called mid May to follow up on this as there were no signs of the parts. I was been lenient due to the current covid environment. I got an update that the parts would hopefully be shipped and I would receive them in JUNE!! We are placing the dresser over an air vent in our bedroom so I cannot put it there at the moment without the correct parts or it blocks the air and would be a fire hazard. I asked if I could get a replacement and they said that was a whole process but they could try to put it through for me. I would need to wait 24-48 hours to check if I was approved. BAFFLING when my product that I paid hundreds for was bashed with faulty parts. I called after 48 hours and there was no update. They said to wait a couple more days. I am still waiting to hear back. I asked if it was possible to get a refund as I ordered in April and now will only have a functioning piece of furniture in June. That is also a process that I need to be approved for and it takes time..... At this point, I would have much cheaper furniture from amazon in two days. Long story short, if you want to save a lot of pain and have your furniture sooner than 2-3 months, then order elsewhere.

We ordered their furniture, and when the furniture arrived, three pieces of furniture, three of them all have problem. The bar cart basically broke all the way. The leg is leak and the door didn’t mount well. Two another furnitures all have missing pieces. We tried to call customer service and they are always busy and never picked up the call. I left the message and I didn’t get reply as well. Finally one day they decided to pick up my call and said they can replace the missing pieces and the entire bar cart, and it has been a month, I still haven’t gotten the cart. For the missing pieces, they sent a wrong part if the furniture....they...suck..
When my family walked in, we were greeted and it was great. Unfortunately, the person who greeted us was off the clock when we were ready to order our furniture. We left and we were excited about our purchase but when we waited for our chairs to get delivered, we were told that we could track our order and we waited twice with no delivery. We tried to call the store and get a refund and our calls went unanswered. We went in-store to cancel our order and we were told we received an e-mail with confirmation of our order cancellation and refund and we never received anything. It has been really frustrating dealing with this store.
Price match Guarantee, really?!? If only Ashley Furniture Emeryville would simply match there own Companies online prices. I took pictures in the store of the pieces I wanted and just prior to going to the store to apply for credit so I could get 45% off, I went online to double check my picks and realized that the prices in the website were up to 50% less than in store. Cool right. I’ll use the online price to price match, apply for credit and get 45% off. That’s not what happened. I was told I could either get the online price match (mind you I was matching Ashley’s price) or the 45% off. False Advertising at its worst. 1) if you shop in store you pay an inflated price. If two people buy the same couch on the same day, they should pay the same price. 2) they pick and choose how to apply the advertised 45% off. Discounts are not meant to be at the stores discretion. They are supposed to be applied equally across the board. If one person gets 45% off, everybody does.
I have had a terrible experience here. I went here with my wife to buy a desk and bed frame. I paid 2k for the furniture and set a delivery date. The delivery date came and went and no furniture came to my home. I called the next say and they said the headboard was out of stock and on backlog so they had to reschedule another deliver date. You’d think they would at least reach out to me and tell me that but instead I had to call them and find out what happened. We scheduled a later date for April 10th. Well today is April 10th. Last night I got a notification they would deliver my furniture between 8:30 and 12:30. At 10:30 I decided to call and find out what the deal is. The lady on the customer service end told me the delivery guy came by at 9:00 and no one let him in the building so he left!!!!!! I was home the whole time waiting for them. I asked her if they could come back and she said I had to wait for the truck to return to the warehouse and they would call me in two days to reschedule!!!! This is unbelievable. I paid them 2000 dollars the first week of feb for my furniture. We are now in April and I still don’t have the products I paid for. UPDATE: Well after MONTHS of battling to get a delivery date...the delivery guys showed up 2 hours late and only delivered my bed frame. The desk was apparently out of stock!!! So frustrating because I was told the initial delay was because they had the desk but did not have the bed frame...have to battle for a new delivery date for the desk. It has now been over 3 months and I don’t have my purchase. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN
They were very busy when we went in. All the staffing we had dealings with were all knowledgeable, pleasant and friendly. We were assisted by a tall lovely lady whose name I can’t recall, but I think it was Ms.Davis. She listened to what we were looking for, assisted us in measuring the items we needed for our small space and helped us select something that worked well for my husbands medical needs. We haven’t received our purchase yet, but we are very excited for it to be delivered next month.
Terrible customer service. I will not be returning to this store. I ordered a TV stand with a fireplace insert, but when delivery came there was no fireplace....on my order it says WITH FIREPLACE OPTION. The delivery people were nice, and saod it should have come with it. They put in a note and said it would be delivered separately. I called the store and spoke to the manager and the sales person, who did not order the fireplace insert. They made me go back to the store and pay more to get the fireplace. When it got delivered, it was dropped at my door outside of my home. I am pregnant, and my husband is deployed with the US military. I can not lift the 100 pound fireplace and install it with NO INSTRUCTIONS. I called 5x, was on hold 45+ mins each time. I went back to the store and they said they would send someone out to put it together....A MONTH LATER. No thanks. I canceled other items in my order because I do not want to deal with Ashley ever again, and still have not received a refund for the items. Worst experience ever. I do NOT recommend this store.

Cannot recommend during covid. Staff does not care about mask use. Manager was walking around with mask falling off his face and standing very close. Customers were allowed to walk around with their masks off. Under regular circumstances maybe the store is ok, but def did not feel comfortable in there right now. Place has poor ventilation.
If I could I will give them zero. They gave a quote for a sofa when I was ready to pay. They tricked me in to their 3 months zero interest. It was actually a rent to own which charges a 50 monthly fee. If you don’t pay after the 3 months they will charge crazy interest %. No one ever told me it was a rent to own!!! I was ready to pay it all with my credit card. Also, when I was quoted I was told the price included an extra fee for 5 year protection plan. But when I received my invoice they didn’t add it. So basically the money I “saved” using acceptance now was because they took off the protection plan.

Do not purchase. You will recieve a delivery date of 1 month then they will extend it for additional months. I dont know why they are selling knowing that they are unable to deliver.
UPDATE Feb 2021 - We got our couch delivered late January, about 3-4 weeks later than what we were quoted at purchase but sooner than expected based on the delivery estimates Ashley followed up with. Ashley proactively reached out to us regularly to give delivery estimate updates, and reps were always nice when I called to ask. Delivery was relatively smooth - they texted, arrived early and came with all the ordered pieces. One of the guys kept trying to argue with me about how it wouldn’t fit in our living room because he didn’t understand our couch configuration. After some explanation, they finally got to work putting all the pieces together. He had a bad attitude, but in the end he got the job done so I guess I can’t complain (his partner was much better, understood me right away and just kept his head down and worked). We’re pretty happy with our couch so far but time will tell whether its quality stands up to use. INITIAL REVIEW Nov 2020 - This place gets 3 stars for the oddly competitive dynamic in the store and mixed service attitude, plus 1 more star for the great discount deals on couches and excellent service from sales rep Richard. The product selection at the store is vast and I was able to find all three sofas that I was interested in from their website. My bf and I were very happy we got a 50%-off deal for the sectional sofa we liked so much, especially since it was marked “out of stock” on the website (always ask in store!) Richard always treated us very well, was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional, only except when dealing with his coworkers (read on below if you want to know). The customer service here was a very mixed experience. The employees here all seem disgruntled at each other. My guess is that they are paid individually by commission and the competition on the sales floor is high. On two occasions we were greeted very nicely in the beginning by two separate employees, but as soon as they hear that we’ve been helped by Richard, their attitude changes and one even just walked away without another word! It was obvious that the store successfully earning a purchase from us wouldn’t have benefitted these employees since they weren’t the ones who “helped us” and therefore they did not care for our business. Even Richard himself, who was always super kind and polite towards us, acted rudely to his own coworkers. When he ran into trouble with finding our new address, he tried to get help from one of his coworkers and they ended up having a squabble over what was or wasn’t the right thing to do with the mapping system on the computer. Overall, they just acted like they don’t have any teamwork or even a sense of a “team” at all.
This isn’t a furniture company. It’s a pyramid scheme. They never actually ship you your furniture. They just take your money and tell you they have “delays” and “stocking errors” regarding your order. I’m currently canceling my order with them and it is taking a lot of time and energy just to cancel it. If I could give these people lower than one star I would. Do NOT waste your time with this joke of a company.

Spent thousands of dollars and waited months to get broken items. Takes weeks of waiting to get a tech out for them to tell me there shopping a part out witch will take a few weeks to get. Then i have to call the store back to creat another appointment witch there a few weeks out for them to install. The call center you deal with is incompetent and told me wrong days they were coming out and extremely aggravating. Best to spend some extra cash and go to a better company to get better all around servise and item's. .

Huge disappointment! They are only here to get your money, after you pay and schedule a delivery date, they won't answer your calls and will never deliver your items. If you are not in rush and can wait for 2 years, then it's the perfect place to shop. Just don't rush. Update: I was on the phone with Customer Support, Ashley HQ, for more than an hour and the customer care representative was calling them over and over again during that time and guess what? No one picked up the phone !!! I think I will go ahead and sue them. I was told that there is no other way to reach them and Ashley has no enforcement on them since they are independent vendors. Just be careful guys, DON'T SHOP FURNITURE HERE. I wish someone told me that before.
Words can not express how bad of an idea it is to shop here right now. Dishonesty and incompetence from start to finish. We simply wanted a dining room table set and a sofa. Massively overcharged us on the table so we canceled it ( check elsewhere for everything 1st, amazon had the exact thing for 1/2 the price) and put in the dining chairs that came as a set per order as one- ended up having double the amount of chairs coming. Which hardly mattered as the delivery date was pushed back multiple times. Today they claimed everything was coming, finally. I received 1/3 of my sectional and only 1 dining chair. Was told by the delivery guys, who you guessed it- were extremely late- that the other parts of the couch are on backorder. They don't know when its coming. I called them, and they weakly said they'd start a "case". That's it. I now have a living room with a chaise lounge to sit on and that's it. Don't shop here. Maybe its covid, maybe its just them. more than half the time when I went back in the store to check on my order * they almost NEVER answer the phone*, someone was going off about their incomplete, missing, or flat out wrong order. I deeply regret using them, be warned they have no earthly idea when their things will be delivered, and they are almost certainly over charging you.

I will never be purchasing from Ashley again. The store itself is so out of date, the actual purchasing experience was lengthy and unnecessarily manual. Update 11/13: They STILL didn’t deliver it today! I was put on hold for over 45 min when I called. I’m tempted to try to get a full refund and just get a couch elsewhere!
Delivery date 9/17/2020 refused to sign due to evident damage assured by Richard they’d honor the warranty and a tech would call in three business days to set up an appt. called again October same answer. Went into store was told we created the ticket. Called November to see what was going on Jamaica gave ticket number 02124252 and said someone would call within 3 business days. Called 3 business days later to see what was going on sales manager said I can’t help but call back tom when store manager is here. This place is fraudulent and make u sign up for a fake warranty. I would never recommend anyone to buy from this place as their warranty is fake and the staff just keep putting you thru hoops each with a new excuse. Will be considering whatever routes we have to exercise our warranty that was 700 dollars and full of false promises. These people only care about their commission than don’t care about you after. When you call the phone number listed, it always says you're calling outside of business hours. So I have to drive an hour back to this location just to update my information. More than likely CANCELLING my order due to the terrible customer service here. I have called the corporate line and also the local line and you can never get through to a person. It always states they're closed.
The communication between staff and customers is very low..notes are not being implemented properly in the system. leaving customers in confusion..no one knows what's going on with the status regarding purchases, delivery..etc......good luck!!

I purchased a recliner on 08/07/2020 and the sale took a while due to lack of staff I guess. However after my credit card was swiped I was given the delivery date of 09/17/2020. Mind you this was a birthday gift to myself. My birthday was on 08/27. I questioned that long delivery date and the associate was like that’s the soonest it can be delivered. I said ok after realizing my card was already swiped so what could I do. Ok 09/17/2020 came and went. By 1:30-200 that day which is my off day. I had sat in the house long enough waiting. So I called and was told to call the store where I purchased which was the Emeryville store. I called and spoke to a young lady who had zero customer service experience. She did not know anything about my order nor did she know how to look it up. I asked to speak with a manager she said he was busy but she would give him my message. 2 hours had passed no phone call so I call back and get that same inexperience associate. Only this time she kept repeating what I said. I asked for the manager again, she said he’s busy. I asked her did she tell him that I called earlier she beat around the bush and did not answer my question. So I said he’s been that busy where u never told him that I called. She said he is multi tasking because they were short staffed. I said if he’s multi tasking he should have called me by now. She said he’s outside speaking with employees. I asked her if she could let him know I was once again on the phone. She put me on hold and cake back and said the same thing she said the first time. He’s busy outside speaking with employees. By this time I just ok thank you. I drove over to the store to find the manager and several employees outside on a cigarette break. I watched them from my car and as they dispersed and went into the store I came in and patiently stood by to see who would help me. As I got my temperature taken at the door I asked for the manager by name and he politely pointed him out. So I’m be associate was at the counter speaking to mama her about some sales which was important. The manager finally said are u waiting to ask a question. I stepped to the counter and asked did this you g lady he’ll you that I called twice about my delivery that never happened today. He said she told me once. As we were speaking she immediately got her purse from the drawer and proceeded to leave. I told him I am very upset and she’s part of the reason. He then explains she is new this is her first day or week. I said well she need some more training because all the customers are going to come here mad as hell like I am she had no answers. So I proceeded to tell him that my delivery never came and the warehouse called and said my order will be re-shipped. So I scheduled it for the following Thursday my day off. Long story short the 24th came and I received a call from the Emeryville store asking me what day would I like to reschedule my delivery. I said what, today is the rescheduled date. She said she see nothing in the system with my name or delivery on it. At the point I was done. I said you know what i can’t do this over a recliner. Please refund my money. So she finally told me that that recliner was no longer available. Now explain to me how your store can sell a recliner a month in advance from the delivery date that is no longer available????😡. A total waste of my time. And as of today I have yet to revive my refund. So before I make a trip back to the Emeryville store. I need to know where my refund is. It didn’t take them this long to swipe my card so it should take this long to refund me. After this I will be writing the corporate office. This is truly bad business and unacceptable.
This store openly violates COVID 19 orders and endangers the lives of its customers. On top of that, their team is rude and obnoxious. The manager Thomas has no regards for customer's time and could care less what happens to you. Beware of the African American lady at the customer service desk. She is extremely rude and would resort to yelling & screaming. I would very strongly recommend you to never ever go this store.

Prices way to high.
Our visit to this store, we had to deal with a rude employee. When we found the right chair for us, they said that it would be delivered at the beginning of this month(September). When the delivery date came , they were no where to be seen, and gave us another later delivery date. That then leads up to today, when we get a call that says the chair won't come until OCTOBER! We order the chair in July! When we called for a refund, they were even giving us a hard time about that. Just like other reviews have said, they were fast to take our money, but not when it comes to giving us the product. Needless to say, we are never shopping at another Ashley Home Store.

I ordered a couch months ago and it never came in. I was told it would come at latest by 9/4. I called back and they said "for sure" by 9/16... it still didn't come. I called again, they said 10/17. So I canceled it and have been waiting a week for my refund now... it still hasn't come through. Not only that, but no one answers when I call the store so I get transferred to customer care who repeatedly tells me they can't do anything. This is the worst experience I have ever had trying to buy furniture- do yourself a favor and shop anywhere else.
Bad customer service and horrible estimated times of delivery. We are currently still waiting for our couch that we ordered the first week of July (it is currently September 12th). The day of our delivery (via text) we had to reach out to them to get a delivery window and they pushed it back 3 more days.
Staff were attentive and efficient. They worked hard to give us the best deal possible. They were fun to work with. Ashley was less expensive than surrounding stores and the furniture was good quality.
My experience with Ashley's furniture in Emeryville has been very disappointing. They have no communication skills and are very unorganized. We have been without a couch for more than 2 months because of their lack of responsibility. They've reassured us, multiple times, that our couch was coming when in reality, it was never even shipped. They changed the date on us multiple times, and when the day of delivery finally came, they called me to say it still hadn't been shipped and I had had enough. I asked for my refund and even that seems to be something they are unable to do with ease. They were so eager to take my money on the spot and now they're giving me the run around to get my money back, even though this wasn’t our fault. I can’t see myself shopping here again nor do I feel the need to recommend them to anyone.
Don’t get me wrong this is the best Ashley store I’ve been to. The inventory and the customer service is excellent. However, why sell furniture at high prices that you don’t have. My daughters bed set was scheduled for delivery yesterday and all they brought were dressers. I asked where was the bed set and the driver explained that it was on back order because it’s missing ONE piece and it won’t arrive until some time in October. OCTOBER !!!! We ordered and paid for this in July. Needless to say I’m beyond upset. There’s no urgency, care, concern or compensation for this inconvenience so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
I was very fortunate to get Arron Curry as my sales associate. He gave me his undivided attention for about two hours and helped me to select the perfect dining room table and living room suite. Although it did help that I came prepared with room measurements and photos, he was able to quickly assess my space and come up with great solutions for my particular needs. He has a great eye for color and style and also gave me the best price for this high-quality furniture. His customer service skills are outstanding and he gave me honest advice about the options that were available. I highly recommend this store if you're in the market for new furniture.
Bad return service. I got a coffee table and returned it before delivery in Jan 2020. It is September now and we are still waiting for the return money!! Its been several calls to the customer service over the last 7 months and they are still processing it!!

First off I would like to say how pleased I was with my in store experience. Maryann and Manager Thomas were excellent sales persons very informative on products in and off the floor along with any promotions being offered. There was no pressure into buying which also made it very easy to decide wether buy or pass and I Bought! Very pleased with my selections thank you guys so much.
Ashley furniture store in Emeryville has been a go to place for me to buy furniture at reasonable prices. The sales people are very helpful and knowledgeable. My favorite purchase was a wood bedroom set painted in white.
Staff are nice in general, but they have crazy markups here. Make sure you check online prices before putting in the order.
Service was good when they actually got to me. They were understaffed it seemed. Sales person was helpful when I was serviced. They have good deals going on right now.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I received a spam text message from Ashley asking me to leave a review, so here it goes. My in store experience was just fine - the sales person was helpful enough, and the store was clean and nicely set up. I purchased two pieces of furniture - one was on backorder. The salesperson said I could have the two pieces shipped separately, so I would get the other piece sooner. I received no e-mail or text confirmations as I was told I would. Delivery day comes, and I do not receive the chair I ordered. I called and was on hold for 45 minutes. I was told now that both pieces were scheduled to be delivered together, on September 15 (this was on July 27). They finally set me up to get the chair delivered sooner. However, I still have not received any e-mail or text communication from them other than spam, spam, spam. It seems that now they have my money, they are not too concerned with offering a service or perhaps even a product. I will most certainly be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I went to Ashley searching for a new mattress after almost 10 years. Wasn't really sure where to start but Loren helped me look at a couple different options. I walked around and laid on a few. Took about a good hour for me to make my mind up but he was very patient. He gave me info on all the finance options and got me a brand new mattress. Spent a bit more than I intended but I wanted to make sure I don't have to buy another mattress for another 10 years. All of the gentlemen working were very helpful and polite. Buying process was pretty smooth. I'll be returning next week to help my nephew furnish his apartment. I would definitely recommend shopping here for your home furnishing needs. They had some pretty good pricing and great customer service. Can't wait for my mattress to get here Monday!!

my wife and I came in to purchase some furniture (bedroom set and dining room table) everything went fine until it was time to pay, then everything was confusing,the salesman didn’t explain everything right , so we put $600 down in the rack dept and the salesman wanted more money at the front desk ,so we just ended our purchase and we asked for our money back and they have given us all our money back except $305.15 and this was 3 weeks to a month ago and I have left messages and no one has returned any of my calls....smh....this is do unprofessional of ashley furniture of doin bad bussines!!!! jermain said he would refund it it back to my account but nothing has happened!!

I just got a call saying my delivery is rescheduled because I didn't respond to attempts to confirm it but that call was the first I received. It seems likely like a favor was done for one of their salespeople to complete a sale at my expense. It's the most logical reason why their delivery service would deliberately go around their own protocols. A company that lets its delivery service do shady things like that is not worth doing business with.
I was helped by Mary. I love the way she introduces about the products. She very patient for our hundred questions. Beside that, I also found my favorite furniture here with very great price for high quality products.
The customer service here is awful, I purchased furniture worth 10 grand and realized extra charges were added (after the fact) the prices were unclear and the delivery date changed on me several times because of a mistake the store made in jotting the wrong phone number for the order. Ashley’s simply wasted my time even more and this is why people opt towards ordering furniture online.

My experience with this company has been horrible. I had purchased my furniture Dec 29th, I was told my delivery would be Jan 12. The day of my delivery I get a message saying the my items were back ordered (the sales person never told me my items were back ordered and they can see that on their end). They rescheduled me for the following Friday Jan 17. I was told that my delivery would be from 9:30am- 1:30pm, at 11am I get a call saying that the dellivery guys are running behind and my delivery was not from 1:30pm to 2:30pm and I would get a call 30 mins before the drivers arrive. It is now 1:50 pm and I have not gotten a call or text. I leave my job at 1:55 pm to make sure I was home, I get a text at 1:59 pm that they delivery guys would be there in 10mins. exactly 2 mins after the text the driver calls me saying he is there. I ask for him to wait for me because they didn't call me 30mins before like I was told. by the time I got home they were leaving. they did not wait for me although they have a 15 min waiting window. NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I RECOMMEND THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPAY. Shop at Living Spaces instead! great customer service.

Updated!!!READ I'm Moving Into My First Apartment And Wanted To Come Look For A Mattress. 2 Hours And A Lot Of Help Later, I Have Pretty Much Everything I Want And Need-. Nakiya Is The Associate Who Helped Me And She Went Above And Beyond - Answered Every Question, Offered Suggestions And Did Her Absolute Best To Help Me Find What I Wanted. She's Amazing And I'm SO Happy I Came In Today ! Update 9/10/19: I really hate to do this but I don't know how to open up another review. I have to honestly say, this has been the worst experience I could have ever imagined. I have recorded phone calls, videos, and pictures and I'll put everything that I can below for proof. Let's start with the fact that I was not told by the distribution center until I had already paid $2,300 that my furniture would not be available for delivery until the 20th of August, my move-in date was the 15th. So I was paying rent for five days for nothing. Then, I was told that my delivery time would be before I got to work, I confirmed and was notified that I could not change the time, however at 7 a.m. the next morning I received a text message saying that they changed my delivery time and that I would now have to miss work. After calling around to multiple phone numbers and being hung up on multiple times (which I have recorded) I ended up giving up and my mom stepped in- she was able to get $100 towards my balance. Now the actual delivery part, (I have pictures and will post) I ordered a dresser with a mirror, a nightstand, a queen size bed frame, boxboard, and a coffee and table set for my living room. Day of the delivery during the last half hour of the window I didn't receive a call, I received a text message that they were here, I ended up seeing it and sent my little sister to go tell them where to pull into and they tried to leave, telling her that they wouldn't be able to do it because they don't see an elevator and don't have a third person with them and it's against their company policy. I ended up having to rush out to stop the truck from leaving to let them know that there is in fact an elevator and that my other delivery for my couch was done by only two men and they managed to get it up the stairs. I could tell that both of the delivery men were in a rush and they kept trying to leave. I ended up having to help carry in my own stuff when I paid $180 for them to deliver it and set it up. Upon them leaving I went back into my room to inspect all of my new furniture and found that they scuffed my walls moving everything in, ruined four of my dresser drawers, scraped up my bed panel, ruined my box board and they scratched a part of my coffee table. On top of that, I had to put in my own drawer handles and install the art. I immediately contacted the guys and they said I signed off and there's nothing they can do so I contacted the toll-free number to find a solution and was told since I signed off on the order before inspection that there is no way for them to give me a refund so they would have to send a tech out. Today's the date the tech is supposed to come out, I have not received any confirmation for a time, I've contacted this store and I was told I would receive a call back and never did nor did I get left a voicemail and I can provide proof. I also contacted the toll-free number and was hung up on multiple times after waiting for 15 to 20 minutes. It is now 8:41 a.m., I've been up since 7 a.m. trying to get in contact with them (I have proof and screenshots of all of my calls as well as recordings of me being hung up on. ) I'm not going to delete the part about the in-store service since the young lady that helped me really was outstanding, but I am going to make sure that everyone that sees the review knows that this company is awful. No in-store service is good enough to have to deal with how irresponsible and careless this company is. To be honest I really wish I had read the reviews and now I see why they push so hard for you to give them good reviews. Lesson learned.
I went in two weeks ago to purchase a chest drawer and a bed frame. Enough said when the delivery date came meaning today they couldn't build my bed or chest because the bed rails where not included in the order thanks to Brandon Santos who rushed that night. I called and complained about the situation that happened during delivery. When I arrived to the store yes I didnt have to pay for the extra charge and delivery but once I was walking out the store Brandon yelled out "how ghetto are the customers" immediately turned around and a representative ask me if I wanted to complain about this comment to the manager i said yes please. I spoke to Albert and luckily he was the kindness in this matter. He told brandon to apologize which he didnt he just stood and looked at me with to much pride. All I know is I'm upset with how brandon acted and not doing my order correctly in the first place now I have to sleep on the floor until Thursday, thanks !! This was my third time purchasing from here and what awful experience I've had.

Came into Ashley today just window shopping for an outdoor dining table and walked out with a full set with table, 6-seater sectionals, and two chairs. Horrible Customer Service.
Nakiya was wonderful and helped me out. Unfortunately, that was the end of my good experience. I need ASAP delivery and they assured me that my mattress could be delivered in two days. The day before, I called the delivery and they said the furniture store messed up and that the next delivery would be four days away. I called the store and they blamed the delivery side claiming that "the warehouse always makes these mistakes." Well the day before this scheduled delivery (already delayed), I get a call saying they have to delay it again. At this point, I only purchased a mattress from them because they could deliver quickly, which is now obsolete as the delivery keeps getting pushed back. In all fairness, they refunded me the cost of delivery. But I am still awaiting my mattress as the delivery continues to get "delayed". I could've rented a truck and hired a few college kids to move this mattress faster than Ashley could get their lines of communication together.
This was bad. So bad. Almost comically bad. (1) Marketing practices are really deceptive. The 50% off sale is really just the MSRP. They inflate the prices to trick you into thinking that you’re saving money. (2) The delivery process is a nightmare. I had to take a day off work. Delivery never came. Tried to call several times to resolve issue and spent over an hour on hold. (3) Customer service ended after they had my money. Had to jump through endless hoops to resolve issues. It’s been 7 days since they didn’t deliver my couch and (despite calling REPEATEDLY) and now I’m told it’ll be at least 7-10 more days until I get my money back. This must be karma for skipping over a locally-owned and operated business. Never again, Ashley. It’s you (not me)

The worst store manager in entire Ashley! I bought a sofa for 500$ and they charge my card twice! After few days I found out and told them to return the money back! They kept me waited in the store for almost an hour and told me the money will be back to my account in 3-5 days! But they contacted me a day before delivery and told me they won't deliver because they double refund the money and I should pay them again 500$! I told them the money is not returned into my account but they said it will show up in few days but you should pay us now! I told them if the money came back to my account I will pay it back or they can cancel their transaction! But they said the will void the entire purchase! They over drafted my credit card by charge me twice and now don't want to deliver the sofa at all! It is unbelievable! This is literally the last time I step into this store! Not worth even 1 star!

Very disappointed in the customer service and furniture quality. I purchaced a full 14 piece living room set about 1 year ago. Purchasing the set was easy because they were happy to take our money. However, the process took forever because the associate helping us would stop in the middle of our purchase to help someone else. Total purchase time took about 1.5 hours (no exaggeration). With the purchase, we got the warranty specifically because the manager Albert stated it covered pet damage. The day of purchase we Also set up a delivery date. The delivery day came, and no one showed. We called the store and they said that they accidently scheduled the delivery for a month later. They were able to move the new delivery date to a sooner date but did not give us many options. About 2 months after we got the furniture, the ottoman cushion had absolutely no support/ stability so it ripped very easily. The removal couch cushion covers ripped at the zipper the very first time I took them off. The stitching in the back cushions (not removalable) started coming undone after 4 months. The worst part, our puppy was able to get ahold of the cushion threw the zipper and tore it to pieces. When we called Ashley's to get the cushions replaced (with the warranty we purchased) they said they needed to schedule for someone to come out and take a look and annotate the damages. The technician that was schedule to come look was from a third party, not even related to Ashley's company. The guy came out about 2 weeks later. Assessed the damages within 3 minutes and said he will sent it in and Ashleys would get back to me. 3 weeks go by, no call or email from Ashley's, so I call them. I gave them my claim number and they are unable to even find the claim. I get transfered to 4 different people (through corporate) and finally I speak to someone just for them to tell me my claim was denied and they do not cover pet damage. They then told me my warranty was through a 3rd party as well. I needed to call a different company for my claim. Why couldnt they have told me the correct steps necessary in the first place. So I call the other company who the warrant y is actually through (GBS) and they ask me to send images of the torn up cushions that I through out over 1 month ago. Lucky I took photos expecting i would need them. I email the photos with my new claim number. They told me that it would take 4-6 weeks for the new cushions to be delivered. I never received any cushions and it has been 8 weeks. I call the GBS company back and they said that Ashley's states that they already delivered the new ones. There is someone home at all times and we never received the so called delivery. GBS says they need to reach out to Ashley's and it will take up to another week. I asked if I could call and I was told no. So now, over 3 months without cushions I still have no clue if I will be getting them replaced even though I spent and extra $200 for the warranty specifically because I was told the warranty covered pet damage.

Customer Service is Terrible here. We bbbought a desk from here and it has been 3 weeks and it was not delivered even though it was confirmed to arrive in 3-5 bubsiness days. Delivery team kept delaying and eventually we asked them to cancel the order. But the story doesnt end here yet, they didnt even refund the money back ..introducing further delay in the process. It is just PATHETIC. Would never ever buy from here
Unfortunately I wish I had a much better review to write but my husband and I were very disappointed with our services. The week we received our Bed Frame I was soo excited, the delivery guys were installing our bed but told us he couldn't complete it since he was missing some bits for the bed rails (where our spring box is supposed to stand) I was told a representative from Ashley's will call me the day of so they can get the pieces ordered and finish up my bed. I waited all day and NEVER received a phone call, next day I decided to call and see if I can get it ordered since I wanted my bed to be completed. I spoke with a representative from the Emeryville location and was told that their manager Albert will call me the next morning to get my items delivered and fixed. By then it had been 4 days after my delivery, i decided to call once again on Memorial Day, a different representative answered (wasn't able to get her name) she told me that they put in my order and needed to wait to get approved and she would call me before the day ends (I NEVER received a phone call). I called again about 4 days later, I got the same answer but never got a call back. Now to this day my spring box and mattress are still on the floor, i tried getting a refund but that is not an option for me since I already bout the bed and they do not take back bed frames and panels. I am beyond disappointed with my services, as flexible I tried to be with them so I can get this issue fixed but never felt like they saw our issue serious. I will NEVER take any business with Ashley's furniture again and hope this review can and will help others.

The manager of this store, Albert, is unprofessional and treats both customers and staff poorly (other reviews call him out as well). While the staff are nice enough, it is clear they are not well trained by this manager. Robert also does not return calls, and avoids coming to the phone when customers call. Big issue for disabled customers who cannot physically walk in to speak to him. He has no problem letting customers wait on hold until they hang up. He made a major error, refused to apologize or take accountability, and still has not resolved the issue. I continue to wait for return calls to finalize my purchase. I've never had such a hard time trying to give a store my business! You'd think if a customer were calling to give you more money, you'd at least take their call. This is the first and last time I will be shopping with this store. Fingers crossed my items actually arrive as scheduled. UPDATE: Sure enough, Albert lied and told me he called the warehouse to ensure my table would arrive on Monday's shipment with my couch. Didn't happen. Completely lied and now won't answer for it. He is now refusing to come to the phone. Management at it's worst! He just had the regional manager call me on his behalf to apologize and take accountability for his lying to customers! I'm in the process of escalating this to headquarters, and reporting the management of this store to the Better Business Bureau. AVOID THIS STORE.

We have now on the furniture we purchased there for a few months the customer service during the transaction was great but once they have your money don't expect any other help. The product is the very poor quality and less than just a few months the $3000 bed that we purchased is already falling apart

My husband and I visited the Emeryville location at least 5 times! Francis was our sales person, She was extremely patient with us and answered all of our questions. We brought our six-month-old, two-year-old, seven-year-old, and 13-year-old on our shopping spree. Everyone was very patient with us, I couldn’t decide which living room set I wanted and this is why we returned multiple times. We ended up purchasing a Tempur-Pedic mattress, living room set, dining room set and a bedroom set for my husband and I. The manager Albert Worked with our budget and we couldn’t be More excited. The customer service is not satisfactory. We were greeted upon entering the store and left unattended for an hour. One of the workers was so rude and confrontational to us. She kept saying things loud enough so that we could hear her and her manager told her to shut up a couple of times but she kept coming to us. I had my little service dog with me and the greeter never said anything about not having dogs in the store so I thought it should be ok and my dog is a service dog. I wad told later by another employee that the worker woman was scared of dogs and that's why she was behaving like that. Not acceptable, they should not allow the salespeople treat a customer like that. I was about to call their customer service number, but the other person who helped us, told me to let it go and don't mind her. I would not go there again.

When narrowing down my choices she was extremely patient and very entertaining. I appreciated her willingness to go back & forth quite a few times. Very thorough and she remembered the things I said I didn't care for. She listened very well.
Ashley Emeryville, DO NOT BUY THERE! You will have real headaches. One of the worst experience I've ever had in my life in terms of purchases. I went to this store 3 times to buy: my bed set, my daughter bed set and my living and dining room, all the times I emphasized how important it was to have my items delivered on Jan the 5th, since my wife is about to have a baby. They messed it up with no answered calls and up to this point, I don't have my living and dining rooms. They promise they will solve and call me, but nothing. It's a shame!
I seriously question this store's four star review. Something is up. Sales people are like vultures that stand by the front door and wait. Why must furniture sales beyond commission? why can't you just go in and look for what you want, and if you see something, ask a question, and then buy something if you like it? how many people walk in there without a plan to buy something and walk out because of one of the vulture-like sales people?
