Upsetting experience

Good service and nice staff

The service was great, especially because Micah made it that much more enjoyable and made the processing of my purchase seem easy my one and only complain with Ashley‘s furniture is that for the price of my purchase I shouldn’t have to pay to have it delivered was not happy about that Micah you’re awesome and so is the Girl at the front desk who helped me with my loan, can’t remember her name, but she was amazing

My fiancé and I recently visited the Ashley Furniture location in Fairfield to purchase a bedroom set. We initially came in, found something we liked, and informed the salesperson, Jordan, that we would return the following day to complete the purchase. When we came back, our experience quickly became frustrating. Throughout the process, Jordan repeatedly attempted to upsell us on items and services we clearly stated we did not want. Every step of the purchase seemed to involve additional charges or add-ons we hadn’t asked for. One specific issue involved a Stearns & Foster mattress that was displayed on the sales floor with a price of $4,000. Jordan informed us that the online price was actually $4,400, and said he would check with his supervisor about honoring the displayed price. When he returned, he told us that since we were paying cash for the furniture and financing the mattress, the manager approved an $1,800 credit, which we felt was fair. However, things continued to go downhill when we began the financing application for the mattress. Jordan initially encouraged us to apply for about $9,500 in financing, even though we had made it clear we were only financing the mattress. After we were easily approved, he then pushed us to request even more credit, which felt unnecessary and inappropriate. While waiting for the mattress financing, my fiancé asked if he could go ahead and pay for the furniture with cash. When we reviewed the receipt, we noticed multiple protection plans and additional charges added to the purchase that we never agreed to. When we questioned this, Jordan insisted that these protection plans were required with the furniture purchase. From our experience buying furniture in the past, we knew these plans are optional, not mandatory. At that point, the situation became very uncomfortable. Jordan continued to push the additional services and even began mentioning personal reasons, such as needing to support his daughter, which felt like an attempt to guilt us into accepting the extra charges so he could earn a commission. To make matters worse, another employee at the front counter who was assisting him verified our information but laughed and joked about the situation rather than helping resolve it professionally. The entire interaction felt dismissive and extremely unprofessional. Because of this experience, we chose to leave the Fairfield store without making the purchase. Fortunately, we went to another Ashley Furniture location in Concord, where we worked with Mohammed, and the experience was the complete opposite. Mohammed provided excellent customer service, clearly explained everything, confirmed that protection plans were optional, and still honored the discounts we were previously offered. In fact, he helped us receive even additional discounts, and we ultimately purchased everything we originally wanted at a lower price than Jordan was advising us of. The contrast between the two stores was shocking. The Fairfield location provided the worst customer service experience we have ever had, while the Concord location demonstrated exactly how customers should be treated. Ashley Furniture should seriously review the sales practices happening at the Fairfield store, particularly with the salesperson Jordan. Customers should never feel pressured, misled, or forced into services they did not request.

Tammy was amazing and very pleasant to do business with. Her inviting laughter and smile went a long way in helping us make our furniture purchase!

Phenomenal customer service!

Acima salesman Anthony was a Man of his word, he assured me that I was not being scammed and that I was approved for the amount that he said I was approved for I came in. It was a smooth process. I was helped out by a wonderful gentleman who also showed myself and my husband the mattresses we were interested in. It was an all-around great experience this school. the mattresses we were interested in. It was an all-around great experience. My husband and I are expecting and wanted to look for some good nursery rocking chairs and to update our couch. After looking around a few different stores we decided to go with Ashley. Tammy from start to finish provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond to help us. It was a very busy day at the store but she provided the utmost dedication and walked us through so many things. She felt like a friend by the end of our purchase. Ask for Tammy! She’s awesome! My husband and I are very excited for our purchases. Thank you Ashley Furniture and Tammy!

I bought a bedroom set at this store, which offers high-quality furniture. I was very pleased with the knowledgeable salesman who answered all my questions. They made me feel welcome and ensured that the purchasing process went smoothly.

Our sales person was professional, knowledgeable and very caring during our visit

After being ignored for almost 30+ mins we were there, no salutations, and no one approached us to see if we needed help or something because we looked like window shoppers, or people not capable to buy, just ordinary BK people dressed ordinary, my experience could have been better if the attendant was not trying to rush me into making decisions. It could have been better if he gave his customers the autonomy to make decisions for themselves. All he had to to was show us all he had to and any alternatives. Finally, it could have been better if he after removing insurance from one of our purchases researched how we could get one for our newly purchased item when I found out after the payment processed through. Instead, he brushed off the sofa that he just praised as one of the best, and knocked it down to being not really important because it didn't have the same standard as the other sofa. He later said even after several request that there is no way we can ever get insurance for the sofa once the payment went through. No alternatives he said, unless he cancelled and redid the whole transaction again. Even my 22 year old son knows he was lying. Even if I do visit that store anytime in the near future, I wouldn't want him to attend to me. The two stars are for the fact that I got the sofa and payment plan was easy to get.

Mr Q was patient and respectful and knowledgeable and spent probably 2 hours with us. And we did purchase product for a small apartment! Thank you 'Q'

We came back to make a purchase, had to look for somebody to get our orginal sales person Alma. Then Noel tired to take the sale. We finally got Alma and she dishonestly packed a warranty on the sale without our permission. When we went to pay we realized she added the warranty and asked her to remove. She left us for over 15 to try and fix it. We finally walked out. It was a terrible experience. All the staff acted like we were bothering them, $1200.00 sale lost.

The sales person kept checking on us with my wife making sure we had our questions answered he was great!

Our Salesperson, Divine, was very attentive without being "pesty." She was knowledgeable about the different recliners my daughter and I looked at. I decided on one and purchased it with ease, thanks to Divine!

Easy to shop here. They have a pretty big showroom with good variety. The furniture is affordable but nothing super high end. I was a little put off by them pushing the extended warranty but just said no. After making my purchase I found it online for cheaper and they did a price match for me, which was kinda nice. I'd go back if the need comes up.

Marques helped me out today with buying a couch for my new family, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, he was incredible — honest, trustworthy, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to really understand what we needed, answered every question without pressure, and made sure we felt confident in our decision. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people, not just making a sale. That kind of integrity is rare. If you’re looking for someone who will treat you right and guide you through the process the right way, ask for Marques. I highly recommend him and truly appreciate the experience he gave my family.

Not much to comment on besides being the last delivery of 7 stops after being rescheduled from the 7th of February to the 10th on a rainy day and getting into a discussion with the delivery driver regarding an item and a damage waiver I didn't have to sign, but signed anyway because he threaten to take the item a Chase back if I didn't sign that I knew and explained would fit through my door. Other than that I say, probably the first and last piece I purchased from Ashley! The wifey loves the piece, but I was very disappointed with delivery.

Very good customer service , my family and I really enjoyed the buying process with Alma Tejeda she is probably the best salesperson they have there she make us feel very comfortable and not pushy at all gave us time to talk and pick the right furniture Thank you so much .

Great store and customer service.

Always a horrible experience going to Ashley. They post signs with financing options, but then don't honor those posted options. There is no clarity whatsoever on what to expect when looking to make a purchase. It's worse than going to purchase a car. Why should I have to go back and forth to fight to get the price quoted on the display. If it wasn't for getting the 60 month financing after all the back and forth with them, I would never shop at Ashley again. I always leave frustrated and angry about the horrible customer service and from what I feel is false advertising if you do not just honor what is posted.

Asked me my name like it was a requirement to enter the store, then nobody helped me because I don't want to apply for credit only cash mm I think about it, I'm not sure but their was a problem with purchasing nobody want to help .I was told no clearance items free delivery. Will be 250 dollars in person but I call in I was told 89 dollars for delivery mm

Honestly, I was offended by the lack of professionalism and attention to the customers. I wanted to purchase 3 things yesterday, but all of the reps were having fun and ignoring the customers. They had a meeting on the floor and had one new black young man helping everyone. He wasn’t included in the meeting for some reason. (Not my issue) We all waited and when they were out of the meeting they still ignored us. Alma came to help me and left to speak to a manager to ask a question and after several minutes she was found laughing and talking with colleagues instead of coming back to allow me to purchase the furniture. It felt disrespected. I asked “what are you all doing?” I then left. I was also told that the credit card I received was not for online purchases. They never told me that when they gave it to me. I will never go back.

I ordered a 3 piece sofa at the Fairfield store 3 weeks ago. Only 2 pieces were delivered because the invoice was written incorrectly. I was charged for 3 pieces. I made several phone calls and nothing was resolved. I finally visited the Fairfield store and was told that the invoice was written incorrectly. The manager promised to call me either today 2/2/2026 or 2/3/2026. So far i haven't heard anything

Nice store. Large selection of furniture. I am happy with my choice of bed and mattress. I do feel like I was taken advantage of by your saleswoman. While I intentionally selected pieces that were “0n sale” and thus discounted, your salewoman explained that those sale prices were from the manufacturer and were not Ashley prices. She said the manufacturer priced items lower because they were damaged, and that the Ashley pieces were better. I suspected I was being scammed and expressed my surprise at the higher prices she quoted me. She said it was just because of shipping and delivery. She admitted that the delivery men had to take the old mattresses only when I reminded her of California law. She admitted it reluctantly. As I am in recovery from spine surgery, I was too tired to argue. I was anxious to rest after being on my feet too long. I knew I was being conned so she would get a bigger commission. She was taking advantage of the disabled older woman and I let her rather than making a big scene. I’ not destitute, I can afford the several hundred dollars she cheated me out of. I just did not have the energy to fight. But please know, I cannot recommend your store to my friends. I wouldn’t want them to be subjected to such sleazy sales techniques.

I absolutely love Ashley’s Furniture. However, the customer service experience was the absolute worst experience with this company. Melissa was our sales associate and I would never work with her again. She definitely needs training on professionalism and kindness. Besides that everything was great.

Mr.Q was the associate who helped my wife and I find the couch we wanted. He was terrific - kind, personalable, professional, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back and will definitely be asking if he's available.

After 3 scheduled delivery dates all consisting of 8 confirmation texts, 8 emails and 2 phone calls -all which I confirmed availability, took off work, moved all furniture and waited for hours. I still do not have my order and have not received any resolution. I cannot get ahold of the store. You might want to check the list of lawsuits filed. Update: After going in store last week. I have received my full order. Happy to have this resolved.

She answered all of my questions was very friendly and took the time to show me other pieces of furniture that I had requested to see. On November 29, 2025 I went to the Fairfield California store and purchased a sofa to be delivered to my house. On December 1, 2025 I attempted to purchase a dresser online, but had to go back to the store to complete my order as customer service was unable to help me. I paid for the order and scheduled the dresser to be delivered along with the couch. I paid for both of these items to be delivered via “white glove “ delivery to the living room and bedroom. On December 4, 2025 the delivery personnel arrived and brought the couch in and set it up, but they were unable to get the dresser up the stairs and left it in the living room. On December 5, 2025 I called customer service and requested that the dresser be picked up as I had subsequently purchased two smaller dressers from Ashley to be delivered to my house. In total I have spent over $3,000. Customer service told me that a request was put in and I would receive an email in 3-5 days. On December 14, 2025 I contacted customer service as I hadn’t heard anything from them and was told that my request had been denied and that all sales were final. I have now requested that Ashley Furniture send the delivery personnel back out to my house to take the dresser upstairs, which is what I initially requested and paid for. A case number has been issued and we will see if I hear back from them as promised. The sales staff is readily available to sell you items but when I call the store, which has been numerous times, I get rerouted to a call center. If Ashley doesn’t make this good I will never purchase anything from them again. Worst customer service ever.

We walked into the showroom and was greeted by a very kind saleswoman named Tammy. We let her know what we were looking for and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We ended up leaving with a couple extra items because of her help. We will definitely return to this store when we are looking for our next furniture purchase.

We bought a head board for almost 2000.00 and when they brought it, it smelled so bad I actually thought my dog took a crap in my room, I reached out to customer service and couldn’t get a hold of anyone they do everything through email. I called the store and asked the people to help me and they said it was out of their hands. It’s been 4 weeks and there is still a smell they denied my claim twice but I kept complaining. They finally sent someone to inspect and the guy showed up and didn’t even care about the smell he wrote it off as there were no issues with the furniture. I have been a faithful customer for more than 10 years but this experience has made me feel like this company doesn’t care. I will never recommend Ashley’s to no one they’re customer service stinks 😷 and so does there furniture!!!!

Purchased a table here at Ashley. The Sales woman Tammy was very patient and helpful. She showed us every table in the store and explained the financing and gave us the best deal available. Overall our experience was not stressful like purchases can be.

Typo on my last review...Had a phenomenal experience tonight at this store with *Jordan leading the charge to help my wife and I find the perfect couch and recliner for our new place. We still haven't purchased but will be soon based on the outstanding quality of the furniture and outstanding customer service from *Jordan and Jessica as well(thanks for entrusting me with the sacred tape measure). 10 out of 10.

Friendly staff at the store - checked in on us throughout the but not super pushy like some places. Made sure we had the best price for what we got and ensured that we were knowledgeable about what we bought including the warranty and delivery service that we weren't originally going to get. Did we spend more than we planned? Yes. Am I currently writing a review while lounging on my new couch that was delivered 2 days ago? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes.

Terrible attitude from the cashier; it seems as if she doesn't care about her job. The system doesn't work, and they make you wait too long. On my last visit, after being in the store for hours, they called later to say something wasn't right. I said, "I'm sorry, but I'm not going to waste my time going back there," and they automatically found a solution. I don't think all the staff is on the same wavelength regarding sales or customer service.

Today, my partner and I visited your store to look for a new couch, as we’ve previously purchased our kitchen table here and had a great experience. However, during today’s visit, we were disappointed by the lack of customer service. Upon arrival, there were no associates available to assist us, so we assumed they might be helping other customers. As we walked around the store for nearly an hour, we noticed several associates nearby, but none approached us or offered assistance—even after making eye contact multiple times. It felt as though we were intentionally avoided. After receiving no acknowledgment or support, we decided to leave. We were very disappointed by this experience, especially given our past positive impression of your store.

Tammy, was very helpful. She also gave plenty of space and time without pressure. Truly a pleasure to work with Tammy. The WiFi had issues and Trever worked closely with us. Trever also was very professional and helpful. Thank you both.

I really feel like the sales people in there are there just screw people out of paying more for no reason.. I went there 4 different times and got got all different prices for the same thing. I received our couch and it was a different color than on the floor. The last sales person I had really made it seem like she was trying to give me a good deal but in all honesty she was very shady and the the good deal was close to nothing off during a major sale event.. I went back and had questions on why the price did not reflect the discounts and was fed a line of,, "ill have to redo everything so is this ok" and her deal only worked if i bought a warranty? How shady.. I called customer service and they said go through them next time. DELIVERY; Delivery was great and fast, the whole "building the couch" is just placing it in place.. Just fyi bc it came already assembled.

We just completed purchasing a new dining set and couches from Ashley Furniture. The store offers a wide selection of styles and we found exactly what we were looking for. Our sales associate, Tammy, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We are thankful for her assistance.

Bought a pair of chairs for a kitchen table. Called back an hour later to change the order to a smaller size since the height was wrong. It was a mistake on my end. They didn’t let me correct my order. Have never bought anything else from Ashley’s since.

I was looking for a dining table wasn't so sure what to pick. Tammy was really helpful and helped make a decision. She really went above and beyond

Went in yesterday and saw a sofa I had been eyeing for a month had the showroom piece on clearance. I was ready to buy that and the chair that was also on clearance next to it. I was told I had to pay and they would hold it for pick up for 48 hours. Then I was given the run around about how I would not be able to pick up within the 48 hour window they said I had. Every solution I came up with to match their limited pick up window i would then get told no that i couldn't pick up then. First it was not on Saturdays and Sundays, then also not Mondays then was told well they didnt really know when I could pick up, but also that if it wasn't within 48 hours, they would resale the pieces I was paying for. Essentially they were playing games and wanted me to order something new and not purchase the show pieces they had on clearance. That was terrible customer service for a store that stalks you the moment you walk in.

Noel walked over to us and was very pleasant and easy to talk too. We told him what we wanted and he answered all of our questions regarding measurements and the different kind of ways we could purchase the items to get exactly what we wanted which happened to be a longer couch he provided for us. I appreciate his smooth approach.

The staff is super helpful and knowledable about their products. The buying experience is easy and zero sale pressure. The furniture is all high quality and they cater to all family types. I visited a couple times and when it was time to buy, they process was smooth and easy. I felt very imformed of what i was buying.

I bought a media stand, a sofa and a console cabinet in Ashley Fairfield store and a dest from Ashley online store. The sales rep in the store, Tammy, was super helpful. She helped me to search what I want and give a lot of good ideas. The delivery was on time. The doors of the cabinet needed to adjust and the technician came within 1 week. In the process I received text messages to keep me updated. my experience is much better than what I saw in the Google reviews in April. Hope everyone has the same experience as me.

First, I go in for a browse & is greeted properly by a nice African American salesman, who was new at the store, he checked with us multiple times which was good customer service! However, as a visitor & customer at this location for over 18 years I've seen the changes with staff & a high turn around of poor management & others. This visit was very interesting. Due to the salesman being new once I was ready to pay for my items, he needed assistance from another guy with short hair & glasses. This guy sat behind the counter with his head down & was very rude, there was no communication from the guy, not a smile or greet. I spoke, got no response. We couldn't believe he was the guy Ashley would work for them & handle the cash or do paperwork. To make matters worse he appeared to not be a good co-worker as he did the invoice wrong causing the manager Gina to assist. Again, no greet, conversation, smiles until I spoke up almost 2hr later of the horrible experience which I mentioned corporate & then she apologized for everything. This location has zombies walking around, & poor customer service. Hopefully, the new salesman go to a different location to share his skills where he's appreciated. Corporate will be sent a personal letter. Be careful spending your money, here I could only imagine how a return would be handled. Thank You

Saleswoman tried to tack on a 5 year warranty telling us it was included. Had to get a manager involved to remove it and refund us. Make sure to ask to see itemized bill before paying.

Missy (Melissa H) was our sales rep. She was very pushy and tried to sell us things that weren’t needed or desired. My 86 year-old mother and I visited the store to buy new furniture for my mother’s house. We looked at a sectional leather couch, but decided it was too big. My mother ended up buying a reclining leather couch and loveseat, leather barrel chair, and end table. The sales rep tried to talk us into the more expensive sectional, and then when we decided on the couch and loveseat, she automatically put the matching recliner on the Bill. She also automatically put the pricey fabric protection on the bill. When I told her we did not want either of those things she said she didn’t know if she could give us the Fourth of July discount. She also tried to talk my mother into a new mattress when I was away on the phone. My mother has a new mattress. When I got back, I said she doesn’t need one, and the sales rep’s reply was, “well, I have to ask.” Then, at the very end before we left, we asked her for a bottle of water for my mom, since she had offered that when we first walked in. Her reply was that she had to see if she had two dollars to get one out of the vending machine. It was a very frustrating and irritating experience. The only reason why we bought the furniture was because my mother is frail and I didn’t want make another trip to a different store.

Met Ray and Avory. Both gentlemen were professional and personable. We felt very comfortable trying out the different styles of mattresses. Both were extremely knowledgeable about all the products. Both were able to help me with the differences between the mattresses and the how each was made.

Our Salesman far exceeded our expectations. He made my Son’s needs for his new apartment possible. He was able to work with the 4th of July Specials/Sales. He was able to get him everything he needed & what he wasn’t able to get yesterday he will be purchasing within the next 6 weeks. A huge Thanks to both our salesman & manager for helping my Son fulfill a dream he never thought he would achieve. I will recommend Ashley Furniture in Fairfield CA. I will be purchasing new furniture for myself soon & I will purchase at the Fairfield store & have it delivered to my home in Bakersfield, CA. Even though we have a store in our town I have been there & you feel dismissed by the employees. That was never the case in Fairfield they went over & above to make this sale complete. The staff was super friendly—and who knew bedding experts were a thing? Well, they’ve got one, and they helped me find the perfect pillow. It was a wonderful and surprisingly fun experience. They’ve definitely made a customer for life!

Spent around 2.5 hours in store. Sale transaction had to be cancelled once while in stores due to errors in the first transaction. After getting home I was called to return the following day to cancel my transaction again and to process again given the clerical, address and financial corrections from that same day. I was on my last nerve the following day with the clean up and corrections necessary to void the previous (second transaction) for correct processing. Refund was going to take 2-3 business days. Then to re process and correct, a third transaction had to be made. Sigh… Most frustrating experience since having to take time off work to travel an hour from to their store to correct the error, then having to return another hour drive back to work…a total waste of my time. A $100 credit on the sale was not enough compensation in my opinion for a purchase over $1500 at their store, given the amount of time wasted and number of mistakes. Uncertain if I would want to return to this store in the future.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Ashley Furniture in Fairfield. I ordered a couch and matching dining chairs, only to find that the fabrics do not match as expected. When I brought this issue to their attention and politely asked to exchange the chairs, I was met with a complete lack of willingness to work with me. No flexibility, no solutions—just a flat-out refusal. For a company that sells coordinated home furnishings, you'd think they’d stand behind their products and care about customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I won’t be returning.

Ms Jessica was so kind and helpful with locating the item that I needed to purchase. 10/10 her customer service in store was amazing and when I called later to purchase over the phone she was great. I could not have asked for better service. All of my questions were answered. I had a truly great experience with her.

I loved the wide choice of furniture and the easy access to all items. I was not impressed with sales person hovering over us and offering info on items we were not in the market for. I was really unhappy to find a warrantee added to my final bill which we had not inquired about nor discussed with the salesperson. The price was removed after I notified Ashley. Too bad, I probably won’t be a returning customer.

Tammy was so awesome helping us find an electric recliner for my aging MIL who is recovering from a dislocated shoulder. She found us a recliner with all the specifications we needed, and her friendliness and customer service was excellent!

I wanted to give a shout out to our furniture associate, Tammy, for the other day we bought our drawers from Cordelia branch. As soon as we enter the store, we were greeted and asked what we need. We told her it was our first time and she explained to us what they have and lead us to the section we were gonna look for. My and I are trying to switch furnitures because we’re gonna move soon to a bigger place, but we also don’t want to impact our financial so we’re taking it slow. We found a drawer in our particular taste and asked Tammy how we can purchase it. She elaborately detailed the drawer we liked and how it could last longer with proper care. The drawer we liked was actually on clearance online that we’re not aware of but she checked it and applied when we buy it so it was in our interest that we got it into a cheaper price. The 2 hrs. experience we got just to buy a drawer was spectacular because of how warm and welcoming she was. We know nothing and she guided us throughout and talking to me like I am her best friend which I liked as I am also pregnant and worried what the process would be like. I know this is long and not much, but I am just grateful my husband and I encountered this beautiful lady.

Nicely designed , BUT... the quality control of their furniture is VERY POOR. All of the chairs delivered with a table set I ordered for over $1500 had issues with the leg lengths being uneven on a new, level hardwood floor. The provided solution (a loose screw cap to adjust to make them level) is very poor, and cheap, and noisey on flooring. The chairs were not assembled correctly and holes were not driled to the right tolerance/location. I had to adjust and fix these myself! Why should I have to adjust or fix my own, brand new furniture?! The delivery/setup people weren't interested at all. Also, the server cabinet I ordered ($800!) has uneven legs! I sent in a video/photos to customer seevice and am still waiting for a reply/technician to come and do a repair or authorize a replacement. Honestly, for the money they are charging people, they could at least build solid furniture that is of acceptable quality! And they should fire their QC team!!

felt pressure the entire time to buy things I specifically said I didn't want or need and the lady didn't stop asking until I agreed to sit on the bed even after telling her I owned the very bed she was trying to get me to buy.but also the pressure for financing.i knew what I wanted had the cash to buy it and was still hounded about spending more.really should work with your associates to go with what the customer wants and understand no means no especially when you say it 10 times.

However, we did encounter a minor issue when speaking with Tristen, the Sales Lead, regarding the application process. We were unsure whether we already had a Synchrony account or needed to open a new one. Unfortunately, the way Tristen addressed us came across as unprofessional and disengaged. His lack of courtesy made us uncomfortable, and as a result, we initially decided to leave the store. Thankfully, as we were leaving, Allen graciously approached us and asked if there was anything he could assist us with. At first, we declined, but the way he clearly and respectfully explained the process encouraged us to return. Because of Allen’s professionalism and clarity, we reapplied and were approved. We truly appreciate both Melissa and Allen for their dedication and outstanding customer service. They turned what could have been a negative experience into a very positive one

I came to Ashley Furniture on March 19 2025 to look for some furniture for my living room and dining area. Noel was my salesperson. I explained to him what I was looking for and he showed me some great options. I found the perfect pieces with his help and knowledge! Over the following few days, I made some minor changes and Noel was very accommodating. On Saturday March 22nd, I came in and ordered everything. Noel was very thorough with ppwk and delivery scheduling. I worked with him at Ashley in 2023/24 and he has always been a kind, genuine human being. Today was my first time coming to Ashley’s Furniture Store. My daughter and I were greeted by the most sweetest representative. She assisted as needed and answered all of our questions. Walking into Ashley’s seemed a bit dark/ dim lighting but the representative brought such a beautiful light to the store. Her energy and experience definitely made me want to come back. The only reason why I didn’t purchase the sofa was they didn’t have it in the store where I could get an idea of how soft or firm the cushion is and feel the material. I wish Ashley’s would have samples of the material because that might’ve even changed my mind to purchase it. Tammy is a star at Ashley’s in Fairfield and her customer service is amazing. Originally I gave a 5 star review solely for the customer service I had gotten from one of the associates but now I’m ticked off. I seen an ad online when I went and purchased my couch and was told they couldn’t honor the price even though it was through Ashley themselves and that same particular location. They offered me like $60 off instead which I wasn’t happy about but what can I do. I purchased the couch, now less than 1 month later, guess what’s on sale for that EXACT PRICE THE MANAGER REFUSED TO HONOR?! Ridiculous. Should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage of people.

Good service but I hope the quality of the couch will be worth the price. The delivery fee is ridiculous!!! $500! A few years ago it was around $100.

Sales associate was wonderful. The manager on-site was not so friendly. She does not interact with customers, was very rude. Everyone else was so pleasant to work with. If you want repeat customers, treat them as if they matter and not just another sale. This was at the Fairfield location.

Today, I visited Ashley’s furniture for a personal financial issue I had with synchrony bank. To make the long story short, I was being charged almost $4,000 in interest. I called synchrony bank and the person that answered basically said we can’t do anything you have to pay this month or we will send you to collection. I dropped by Ashelys customer service and Gretchen helped me with calling Synchrony bank herself to see what was going on. Gretchen was patient, kind, understanding to my situation and advocated for me. She deserves more than this review, I received the Best customer service I could ever ask for. (this issue was not the furniture store since they did everything correctly.) I appreciate your time, thank you for helping with our issue, Gretchen!

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. They have terrible customer service and if ANYTHING goes wrong with the product delivery or the product is damaged they will not help without fighting. I will not do business with them ever again. Their reviews are artificially higher because they push you to review them in store and the salespeople are good but they do not back up their products.

The quality of Ashley furniture is undeniably high quality! But the customer service, especially dealing with a delivery was very sub par and I almost cancelled my order because of it! Ashley homestore needs to hire their own delivery team. Because outsourcing it really hurts their brand name that you would expect from them.

I had the worst buying experience while purchasing a 10-piece Modmax sectional. The sales person was not familiar with the product and instead of saying, she didn’t know the answers, she gave me incorrect information. Luckily, I had done my own research and was able to correct her. During the purchase process, I was taken to no less than five different stations to fill out forms. And once we were done, the sales person had not included all of the pieces that we purchased, so we had to redo some of the paperwork. The purchase process took 2.5 hours and they weren’t even busy. Ridiculous! Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired. I will hesitate to purchase anything in the future from this Ashley store.

I probably would have purchased our bed through Costco.

Absolutely not recommended. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money. This store is the epitome of poor service and broken promises. First, they casually claimed they might deliver by the 21st (even though we needed it by the 19th). Then, they abruptly pushed it to the 28th, only to later shift it to the 6th of the following month! Their priority seems to be taking your money as quickly as possible, and once they have it, they couldn’t care less about fulfilling their commitments. This experience has been beyond unacceptable—never again will I step foot in this store. Stay away!

In the last 6 months I have spent over 15k at Ashley's furniture, bought a couch, love seat, 2 mattresses, bed frame. My couch is only 5 1/2 months old and is already broken. It stuck in the upright postion and there no way to get it to go down. I called the store and they said the soonest they can get someone out is 2 weeks. My grandmother is disabled and in a wheel chair, how does she get around with this sticking out especially during the holidays. And yes if I could move the couch I would but it's too heavy. Very disappointed in ashley furniture and there customer service felt like they didn't even care.

I went in yesterday and I was helped by Agnes. She was great and helped my fiance and I find a set we really liked and we bought it. However, afterwards we couldn't help but feel uneasy about the price, and that there was a $400 automatic warranty attached just to get a discount. The math wasn't adding up, so I returned to the store with my dad to talk to 2 managers there, one being the customer service manager at the back desk. I felt pressured into keeping the set regardless of how I felt about the price and getting a good product, but I know I can get one at a better price. I also didn't appreciate the snarky remarks from the customer service manager as I went to cancel my order, saying "trust your guts, as long as it's not anyone else's guts," implying that my dad is the one who dragged me back to Ashley to cancel the order. I loved the experience at first with Agnes (who was not there when we came back), but coming back really showed true colors, and I will not be coming back because of such a sour experience. My fiance and I get married this month (Dec 2024) and this is our first time trying to buy furniture we like but at a great price. We would've loved the furniture set if we could've just removed the $400 automatic warranty, but they were not budging. Please do your research as I think they have great quality furniture, but be sure about the purchase and learn from my mistake.

I had a giftcard that was for the Emeryville store that recently closed i delt with a person named Trevor that refused to take the giftcard as it was issued from the Emeryville store manager and for that location. I was told to return in a few days as they had to escalate it to the corporate office.The giftcard was for a horrible customer experience and this put the icing on the cake. I will never patronize this location again. They were unhelpful and dismissive.

Revised—I am giving this store a 1 star and will never purchase from them again. After what I thought was a pleasant experience, I get home to find out a 5 yr warranty was added to my invoice for $399.99 without my knowledge. There was never any mention of this. I called same day to cancel this and was told someone would call me. Fast forward to me calling numerous times to get answer and finally was told this was part of the promotion. I NEVER WAS TOLD Of THIS!! They basically have said too bad so sad. Customer Service seems to be a thing of the past!! Looking to purchase a dining table and couch. Saw a painting I wanted to purchase but it was out of stock. I asked the floor person if I could purchase the display copy. She said yes, but there was a process. She took my information down and said they would contact me in a week. Never heard from them. And by her disinterested demeanor, I kind of expected that.

Bought a closeout floor model outdoor furniture set. Ashley had me personally move it from the floor out the back to loading dock and I had to load it myself. They had no one who could help in the store or in the warehouse. As a matter of fact, the sales person was willing to help but the manager said she could not because insurance. I had to get it in one day and one trip. If it wasn't such a good deal and my brother lived in Fairfield, I would have told them "screw you"! So thanks for nothing.

From the minute I walked in Agnes the trusted adviser of Ashley noticed me and made a joke and immediately I was smiling and felt so at home. We were laughing most of the time .Such a warm feeling from her.I was looking for a comfortable recliner and she took me to this special collection of range rover (Boyington collection) recliners I sat down and didn't get back up for awhile. The experience was TERRIBLE at Ashely Store in Fairfield. We were delivered a couch with a broken recliner on day one. They took months to respond or to offer a satisfactory resolution. They wanted me to wait for a part to fix the problem. After at least 10 phone calls. They finally picked up the broken couch after I said I was going to seek other options to resolve this. They still never returned my over $400 delivery fee and again that was after I made several other calls inquiring about this. They stopped responding altogether. I would NEVER recommend Ashley furniture unless you want junk and horrible service. Giving a (1) star since I cannot submit this review with zero stars.

Also told us the less expensive mattresses we preferred were not available, which turned out to be untrue. Also told us the warranty on our mattresses would be void if we did not purchase their mattress pads at $100 each- also a lie. Also charged us exorbitant delivery fee twice the amount over any other firm’s charges. The return/exchange process was ridiculously complicated and clearly designed to prohibit returns . Overall a terrible sales and service experience

Terrible online process and Terrible customer service. Tons of other companies. DO NOT USE ASHLEY!!!! I ordered a bunk bed online they took my money and 4 days later said they declined me because of thier credit security. So that means I can't use my card to order but they still take the money off of my card even though they say they don't. I called customer service who told me they can't complete the order and said 7-10 business for me to get my money back and hung up on me. I'm pissed they stole my money from me for 7-10 days plus the 4 days I've waited and gave me nothing in return. This company is criminal!!!!

Both took their time walking me through each step to make shopping at this Ashley location a pleasant and memorable one. We will be back again to shop. We will recommend our friends and family shop at this location. However, it has been extremely hard to get a reputable technician that is actually from the company, Ashley. It seems to be one problem after another. Not big problems but big enough to be a thorn in my side from time to time. Since getting this lovely furniture that I am happy with, there seems to be issues with the hardware that's holding together. My couch. To be blunt on the side of my couch. It is buckling where I can see the tack or the nail that was used is part of the physical structure to be held in place. I complained about this inside the store but have yet received any help to come fix this problem. At some point, I'm going to get a little tired of dealing with Ashley and choose to go elsewhere. I know Ashley is a big furniture company so my business means nothing but from a moral perspective in business eyes will stand on those principles whether they are affected or not.
