Great service and attention to detail. We got throws for our bed instead, but the carpet we wanted wasn't in stock to take home that day. Other then that a very good sales person.

We had a very disappointing experience at the Ashley Store in Lathrop. We were helped by Jose when we first shopped and selected a beautiful sectional. Excited to take it home, we rented a trailer and returned to the store to complete the purchase. Jose assisted us again, we opened a credit card, waited, and then were directed to load what we believed was the sectional we had purchased. It wasn’t until we got home, unloaded the furniture, removed our old furniture, and began unwrapping and assembling the new sectional that we realized we had been sold two of the same sectional pieces—mirrored sides—making it impossible to assemble the couch correctly. We immediately contacted Jose, expecting a simple exchange for the correct piece. Instead, we were told there was nothing he could do and that we needed to call the 1-800 customer service number. After going in circles with Jose and the store manager, Mac, we called the 1-800 number, only to be told they also could not help and were given yet another number—which was closed for the weekend. Multiple follow-up calls to Jose led nowhere. At this point, we are stuck with unusable furniture through no fault of our own. This has been an extremely frustrating and stressful experience. Mistakes happen, but this is clearly a store error and should be corrected by Ashley Home Furniture. Unfortunately, once the sale was complete, it felt like no one had any intention of making things right. Customer service is not handled in-store and is completely outsourced, leaving customers with no real support. We plan to go back to the store again to talk to Jose, but confidence is low given how this situation has been handled. I strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing from this location think twice—this experience has been a headache and has left our family in an unfair and unresolved situation. Update: We spent an entire day dealing with customer service and the store trying to exchange incorrect furniture. Starting at 6:00 AM, we called multiple 1-800 numbers, got conflicting instructions, and were repeatedly told to go to the store and then call customer service again. We arrived at the store at 11:00 AM. The manager approved the exchange, but customer service gave us the runaround — including a 30-minute hold, being told approval would take 3 business days, one agent hanging up on us, and finally another agent approving the exchange and giving us a code. After hours of delays and waiting, we asked for compensation and were offered a $391 refund. While still waiting, we ordered the matching coffee table in the store. Back at the warehouse, we waited through lunch delays and system issues, only to be told we could not pick up the furniture that day because no one with approval authority was available. We agreed to a January 2nd delivery, then later discovered we were charged $250 for delivery, and that only the couch was scheduled — not the coffee table. Customer service then said the coffee table delivery date of January 2nd wasn’t guaranteed and might cost another $80. After more follow-ups, we were told the issue was corrected. Now waiting to see if the January 2nd delivery actually happens. Warning: Be prepared for extreme miscommunication between customer service, the store, and the warehouse. What should have been a simple exchange turned into a full-day ordeal with unexpected charges. Last and final update: it looks like the manager, Mack, made the correct changes. Our correction piece for the sectional, as well as the coffee table, has been delivered! They also removed the delivery charge for the couch piece and only charged $79 for the coffee table delivery, essentially making the table free. Thank you, Mack, for taking care of that for us! We’re so glad this saga is finally over and that we get to enjoy our new furniture.

Had a pleasant time and the rep, was very attentive as what I needed.

Please stay away from this place when purchasing furniture. If it's damaged you will have to deal with all the hastle of getting a replacement this people are just here for a paycheck and will only help you if you spend your money but not if you receive broken goods. Please people don't purchase from this store unless you want to receive a broken product where the sales people won't help you. This is the second item we purchase from here and they were both defective. Don't buy anything from these lazy sales people.

The staff is professional, friendly, accommodating, and available. I met Jordan, Aileen, and Kevin. Jordan went above and beyond to research and find furniture items just right for me. Aileen worked with Jordan to ensure transactions went smoothly. Kevin offered assistance by cooperating with the team. The entire experience was wonderful.

I had my eye on a bedroom set and when I went in again to look at it Jose asked if I had seen the clearance section. He had no idea that what I had been looking at was on clearance but I was able to get the whole set for 50% off. I love that Jose was funny and informative. He didn’t try to up sell me or persuade me to buy something more expensive. I’m extremely happy with the customer service I received and the variety of options they had.

No return policy!!!

Welll I was excited to buy and pick up new kitchen chairs. Got it home late Sunday night started to put them together and the hardware that came with it and tools do NOT work properly! They don't fit in the bolt to tighten them correctly. And all the tools we have at home (every size possible) also doesnt work. So at this point I take them back to Ashley so they can see the issue again this is 8 kitchen chairs. Or spend another $100 on different hardware onto od the 1200 already spent to put them together?! Very frustrating

I began looking for a new twin-sized bedframe for my daughter back in September. I finally found one I liked, and it showed as on sale, but listed as an online-only item. After multiple attempts to add it to my cart and check out, I kept getting error messages. I tried calling my local Ashley Furniture in Lathrop for help, but no one ever answered the phone. While I was trying to get support, the bed went off sale. I was frustrated, but assumed it might have been a glitch that would eventually get fixed. Now that Black Friday deals are happening, I decided to check again — and I found the same bed on sale once more. What a relief… or so I thought. As soon as I tried to add it to my cart, the exact same thing happened again. More error messages, and no way to purchase it. This has been extremely frustrating. Between the website issues and the complete lack of response from the store, it shouldn’t be this difficult to buy an online-only item directly from Ashley Furniture.

Excellent customer service, went in not knowing exactly what I wanted , but after Alejandro Lara explained the difference in all the mattress options, found the perfect option for me !!

Today I went with my in-laws to look for a bed for them. When we arrived, we noticed there weren't many people. The first thing we saw was a woman in a white coat with black hair. She looked us up and down and was extremely rude. She looked at us in a condescending way. We're simple people who don't dress extravagantly to show off our money, and unfortunately, if you don't look wealthy, they treat you horribly and don't even acknowledge you. When we wanted information about a bed frame, we had to search the entire store for the woman because, surprise, surprise, there weren't any other sales associates. When we finally found them all, they were sitting peacefully looking at their cell phones. Even the man in the blue shirt, who seems to be the supervisor, looked at us and didn't even acknowledge us... extremely rude. We were going to complain, but my in-laws, given the lack of respect, told us to leave.

They quoted a delivery date of 11 days out and then called my phone three different times with three different dates, all which were incorrect. They pushed the delivery date out over three weeks and refused to provide a refund or correct information on when the items would come. I asked for a refund and they denied that too. I will never purchase another item from this place and I would not waste your time going there. They do not have a clue what they're talking about, and lie to get business.

I used to be a loyal customer and believed their quality and service were still the same, but this recent experience proved me wrong. I spent a huge amount of money furnishing my new home: 3 bedrooms, a living room, home décor, and 4 barstools. Everything was delivered to the new house, but we didn’t physically move in until two months after the purchase. Once we started setting everything up, that’s when the problems began. My $7,000 leather couch arrived with holes, and the washed wood coffee table looked nothing like the display model. It had holes, irregular scratches, dents, and gaps. When their technician came, he actually told me the leather was sprayed, which is why it had holes — and instead of replacing it, he simply sprayed over it to “fix” it. Completely unacceptable for a piece that expensive. As for the coffee table, he refused to acknowledge it was defective. He blamed it on “design variations” and even admitted that many customers had complained about the same issue, but said he couldn’t do anything because it was beyond their 3-day window. Three days for furniture issues is ridiculous. After this experience, I can confidently say: Ashley is not trustworthy and their quality is not what they claim. Save your money and avoid the stress the last picture on how the couch looks beautiful in the display — do NOT buy from Ashley.

Horrible experience. Now, the furniture itself is nice. This has to do.with the operations. We had the worse time after picking out our bedroom set. You name it, everything went wrong: promised delivery date missed, not once but 3 times. Items delivered were damaged. Items missing parts, then sent UPS and I had to assemble myself, then other item delivered was not item selected., and it took 3 more weeks to exchange. And when the exchange finally happened, they tried to charge more because the price in the store had gone up! In store person at customer service was horrible, has no concept of what an even exchange means... their entire system seems backwards. With endless automated emails and texts spamming me, and a store manager too chicken to even answer when I call to complain. Yeah, I would recommend you avoid this place. Living spaces is a couple miles away and their service, pricing, and communications is light years better.

I wanted to say thank you to associate Alejandro for his exceptional customer service and patience. Also, store manager Juan for his professional handling the business. They went above and beyond to assist me and made the whole shopping experience easy and pleasant.

Me and my girlfriend stopped by to look at furniture to furnish our apartment. Just window shopping to check out prices. Everything in here is so beautiful and well made. Will definitely be back when we decide to buy.

My sales guy was great. No pressure. Quick at check out. Only bummer is my chair is out of stock so I have to wait weeks to get it.

Went in there yesterday because we were looking for a chair that their website showed they had in stock. They told us that what we were looking for was not on the showroom floor and we couldn't look at it before buying. We told the salesman what we were looking for (a recliner with an extended leg rest) and he proceeded to show us recliners without an extended leg rest. They just wasted our time.

Giant, and I mean Giant selection! We first went to our local Ashley's in Modesto and left disappointed. The Lathrop outlet was impressive. Our salesperson Arnie was perfect! Knowledgeable but not pushy. She let us browse freely and was there when we had questions. We chose a set of sofa and couch and we feel the price was fair for the excellent quality. We have used Ashley in the past and will continue to do so.

We found good deals and no problems with quality, but sales rep Foiza was really annoying to deal with. She was very unprofessional. Manager Juan on the other hand was very pleasant to work with, he took care of all the unnecessary sales tactics which Foiza was forcing upon us.

Initially not greeted by anyone. I had to find someone to help me. He was great, Jose Alcalha. Jose said I could pick my table up on Friday just call and let them know what time. I called to schedule my time for Friday only yo be told I couldn't pick up until Sunday. I'm very upset. I already got rid of my dining table, I'm having a party on Saturday and I have no table. I'm on hold with customer service and was told I can't pick it up because furniture has to be inspected. I'm very upset.

I had a great experience at Ashely’s. From the second we walked in, Victor greeted us with great service. He explained where everything was that we were looking for. Victor was very welcoming, knowledgeable and patient. He helped my wife and I find exactly what we wanted. He know so much about each mattress which was very impressive. It made it easy to make our choice. The overall selection was great, stylish and high quality. I will definitely return to see Victor on our next furniture needs.

We purchased few items from here for our new house. The nightstand was delivered broke and the CSR team is by far the worst to deal with, they don't respond for our emails despite of sharing pics and video of damage. We will never do business again with Ashley.

The store sales lady was nice and completed the documents well. We specifically discussed that the pick up of the item was today and the item be wrapped for buyer pick up. However when we picked up the item, the persons at the store claimed they had no idea about this pick up. Nothing was endorsed. The item was not wrapped. The people in the store claims the manager and other staff are all in break around past 2 pm. The store staff were hesitant to address the pick up issue and we wasted time waiting and waiting. They said nobody has the key to the pick up area so the plan to just pick it up was not followed. I think I need a call back from the Manager of the store. But thank you anyway. It discourages customers to go back if this is the case. Thank you anyway, we finally got the mattress but of course it became dirty because we did not anticipate it was not wrapped.

I wish I can give you a better review but after today’s call I can’t. Bought a table set about 4 years, bought the warranty for 5 years, the wood color is fading on the table and stools, called to see what the warranty covered and was told that is not covered. Very disappointed, then what’s covered? Not buying from Ashley again.

I had lost faith with Ashley’s for my past purchases And the bad experience I had along with the employee giving me false information and pressuring me to purchase. Where I ended up spending $15,000 back in 2022. I purchased a dining table on 7/12/25 and Alejandro helped me. He was awesome. Not once did he pressure us , very helpful I will only go to him from now on.

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Ashley Furniture. I ordered a furniture over a month ago, and they’ve delivered it twice — both times it was broken. To make matters worse, the delivery driver told me they don’t actually send a new replacement — they just “fix” it at the warehouse and send it back. This is unacceptable for a company that sells “new” furniture. I’ve had to waste time waiting for deliveries and still don’t have what I paid for. There’s been no proper communication or accountability. I hope this helps others avoid the same hassle, and I strongly urge Ashley Furniture to improve their quality control and customer service.

Ashley was a pleasure to deal with. Jose took me directly to the reclining sofas and was able to answer any questions honestly. He then took me to the woman in charge to work out a deal. She gave me a final price and then I went home to check other store prices on the same item. I saved money by choosing Ashley and item delivered in a couple days. I’ll be shopping at Ashley more often.

Impressed they got us the couch we wanted at a good price, although not impressed we felt like it was a conveyor belt. We weren’t told our monthly payments or when it’s even due for the first payment. Then the phone number on file wasn’t even close to any number we gave the guy. So we tried to schedule a pickup for our couch and made it harder since I had to call and track down the order number without the paperwork. Your sales guys need to do better at explaining things not just getting us sold and out the door. Vic was great but not much was said. So I have no idea what the payments are and when the first one is due

My family and I decided to stop by Ashley Furniture Outlet as we have just moved into a new house and are in need of a new set of items. Fortunately we were greeted and taken care of promptly by the sales rep, Rence M. He was phenomenal! Got us an amazing deal on our sectional, mattress set and dining table. We told him our concerns and everything was all accounted for. He recommended the best mattress based off of my husbands' needs and made sure we found everything we were looking for. We had a good experience with our salesperson, as me and my fiancé often went to this store to purchase furniture for our new home. Firstly we bought a mattress which was going to be delivered after one month as they were out of stock with the size we want, but after one month there was no update on our product, we went to store, talked at reception as per the lady they had our mattress but their employees were not free for us, we had a truck on rent specially for that mattress on that day. When it was not in her control she refered us to manager, I think they need to change their management, because manager was so rude, instead of any solution he just told us to get it refund. What about our waste of time?? The guy seriously don’t care about sales. Today, 06/26/2025 we went with our relatives again to purchase a sofa set and we were gonna purchase more stuff but again we had to suffer, the first salesman was super kind to us but when he had to leave, he interacted us with our salesman. When my cousin and my fiancee asked him if he can give us some discount, he asked to manager but he refused and told us to leave. Very disrespectful, I would never comeback here again. If this is gonna get continue you guys will gonna loose your all customers.

Our family enjoyed visiting the store and finding what we needed. I highly recommend Ray Garcia, he helped us a lot and was very kind.

In-Store interface was the only good thing. But once you step out and there are issues with delivery and product quality, you will have to suck it up. The delivery guys were inexperienced and used impact drill to assemble and the screws doesn’t come off now as the head is worn out. The same delivery guys broke a leg on the headboard and damaged chest leg side. I reported that and they came to fix headboard and painted it, but not replace. The headboard and footboard clearly have wood integrity issues and can be clearly seen that it was painted. I called the floor manager at the time of delivery and he suggested to go through opening a ticket and see how it goes but didn’t suggest I refuse delivery 🤔. He said he opened tickets for replacement and that’s gone into black hole. I have been an Ashley customer since 2012. Quality of products and quality of service went way down. I bought about 7k worth of stuff, leather recliners, king bed, dresser, night tables, chest, mattresses, server table. Probably my review will be deleted. Standard reply below. The broken leg of the headboard was fixed. The others issues brought up in the pics were completely ignored. Server table, nightstands and dresser were in good condition. After this review they are sending headboard I think but not a footboard and new chest. Finally, the new footboard headboard came on 7/12 and they were good and they took the old ones.

I would give zero stars if possible. Purchased a loveseat from their clearance section and it took absolutely forever. We finally drive around to the pickup place and are still sitting here 36 minutes later because apparently the 1 person in the store who can put it in our truck is at lunch. All of the other warehouse people are loading furniture for other customers but somehow cannot load ours. Went and spoke to someone in the office who could have cared less. Horrific customer service and won't be dealing with them again. RC Willy is not much further and is a much better experience.

Jessica was an amazing sales rep!! We came in to the Ashley Lathrop showroom, with the intent of purchasing a new bed frame for our Son. From the moment we were greeted, to making the sale of the bed, Jessica walked us through it all. We also window shopped for sofas and she walked us through so many different Styles as well as fabrics, for our pet friendly home. Thank you Jessica!

This was my first time attempting to shop at Ashley furniture store in Lathrop, CA. I had a terrible first time experience. For starters, I was unable to place my order online nor was I able to place an order over the phone with a customer service representative. I then proceeded to call the actual location and gave a representative all of the item numbers that I was interested in buying. After the transaction was finalized in person, it was brought to my attention that I was charged incorrectly after already leaving the store and I didn’t even pay for the items that I originally wanted when I had literally given her all of the item numbers that I wanted over the phone before coming in? I had also asked this representative if there were any comforters in stock but she advised me to go to Kohl’s. As an Ashley furniture representative, why are you referring your customers to shop somewhere else? Do better. When I went back to try and fix the order, I was turned away because “Their customer service representative was gone for the day”. At this point, I was irritated and just canceled my order. When I spoke to a general customer service representatives over the phone all 3 different people were very rude and seemed like they were miserable and hated their job. I repeatedly asked if I was going to be receiving a confirmation email with my cancellation and all three different representatives advised me that I was going to be receiving the confirmation email. Whole time they didn’t even have an email on file for me??? It seems like none of Ashley employees know what they are doing or care about good customer service. Respectfully, do better or get a job that you actually like doing. Have the day you deserve.

Not too good experience as there was some miscommunication with our original order and did not receive all the furniture ordered and have to come back to the store to resolve the issue.

Disappointed. There is a of options which is amazing; however pick up hours for furniture are very limited. Pick up hours on Saturday is until 4pm, yet at 3pm there was no one available to load since they went home early. Seems very unreasonable to have hours of operation from 10am-9pm, and only a 4 hour loading period. They lost a sell and unfortunately we will not be back to this store.

Ordered couch from Ashley and delivery arrived at my house. The people delivering it didn't speak English but were able to communicate to me that the couch wouldn't fit in my desired room through the door. So they left with the couch and I received a call from Ashley about 15 min later and they said one option was to cancel the order and I asked how much will I be refunded? They said they couldn't see that information. I said okay refund me please. A few days later I got an email saying I was still being charged for the delivery fee. I called customer service and they said there is nothing we can do. So they are charging $107 for a couch I never got delivered. I would shop elsewhere if at all possible. I will never spend money with them again.

Stay away from this store. They sold my 76 year old dad a couch. When they delivered it the wood frame was cracked. I talked to them over 6 months. No refund . No exchange. No credit. Very rude call center. I drove there from hayward. The lady up front said it was just his lost.

I ordered 2 Accent cabinet from this store. It got delivered. Both Accent cabinet is same but one of the Accent cabinet length is wider than other. Bacause of length difference, one of cabinet is not fit in the area. I showed to delivery person, he opened the case with customer support so I accepted the delivery. Now Ashley furniture customer support is sent the note, they will not exchange because it was delivered. Very bad experience with the Ashley furniture . Person came to check, I showed him the length difference but he reported its right in length. I am not happy with the support and item delivered. They are not accepting the fact that item is wider in length and not matching the dimention mention in description.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Ashley Furniture. If I could give a zero-star rating, I would. This has been one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Ashley Furniture does not allow exchanges or returns, even when they sell defective products. I purchased a sofa that was claimed to be of good quality, but upon receiving it, I found it to be defective. Shockingly, the same model in their showroom was also defective. Despite this, they refused to take responsibility and instead blamed me for not unwrapping the item before leaving the store—an unreasonable policy designed to shift accountability onto customers. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue. Initially, Ashley Furniture refused to assist me. Later, they sent an inspector whose solution was to strip and repair the sofa on the spot, which highlights the poor quality of their products. Eventually, the inspector admitted that the item was unrepairable. Even after numerous phone calls and in-person visits over nearly two months, Ashley Furniture has continued to lie and delay any resolution. I regret trusting this company instead of purchasing from a local, reputable store. I would not recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone. I have already informed my family and friends about my experience and will continue to warn others. This situation amounts to deceptive business practices and mistreatment of customers. I have solid proof of their misconduct and will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I have also consulted with a lawyer regarding legal action. Ashley Furniture’s treatment of customers is unacceptable. They take your money and disregard your concerns. I will never purchase from this company again. They have taken all the joy out of me simply for wanting to buy a new sofa.

Customer service is the best! Mac was helpful but left me alone so I could browse the showroom. He checked on me to see if I had any questions but no pressure. I decided to buy a sofa and loveseat because of the great price and quality. The manager came by and introduced himself, which I appreciated. I will definitely shop here again when the time comes.

Salesman was a very friendly person that was knowledgable about the products in the store. When it came time to sign the paperwork, there was an option to purchase the extra warranty on the recliner and on the website it said it would be $49.99. The paperwork stated that it was going to be $159.99. When I asked about why the difference, I was taken to the counter to talk to whom i assume was the manager. He was very rude and condescending and stated that the store does not offer the warranty any longer as stated on the web site. He basically said take it or leave it and his attitude was very poor and not customer friendly at all. I will think twice about visiting this location again as the price was great but it is not worth it to not be treated as a customer should be.

I purchased a new bedframe, chaise, and drawers a few weeks ago and honestly, couldn't be happier. Didier on the sales floor was a lifesaver - got us a solid deal without the pushy sales tactics you usually get at furniture stores. Jeff and Juan were great too. Delivery guys showed up on time within the delivery window. They hauled everything upstairs without banging up my walls, set it all up quickly, and didn't leave packaging all over the place. No drama, no hassle. Will be back when it's time for new furniture.

Ashley Furniture - Zero Stars If Possible! I would give zero stars if that were an option! I purchased couches from Ashley and made the mistake of buying their overpriced extended warranty. Within two years, the motor started going out, so I reached out to Ashley for a fix. Instead of helping, they pushed me off to the insurance company, GBS. Dealing with GBS was an absolute nightmare. They said they’d send a technician to my house, which they did, but after that—silence for a month. I had to call them just to find out they had forgotten to place the order for the part! They assured me they’d take care of it, saying it would take another three weeks. Three weeks passed, and when I called again, I was told they forgot to confirm the order with me, meaning it hadn’t even been processed yet! So, on that day, it was just getting started, and I was told I’d have to wait another 4 to 6 weeks for the part to arrive. But that’s not all—once the part finally showed up, I had to call them again to schedule a repair, which would take another 2 to 3 weeks to complete. At this point, the process has dragged on for half a year, and I still don’t have a working couch! Ashley refuses to help, claiming it’s out of their hands. Their customer service is horrendous, their furniture is garbage, and their warranty is a complete scam. Do yourself a favor—stay far away from Ashley Furniture. If you want reliable furniture and a warranty that actually gets honored, go to Living Spaces instead. I will never buy from Ashley again, and I suggest no one else does either!

I spent thousands of dollars on a dining table set and living room chairs and even purchased the extra Regard Warranty. About a month later I noticed the finish bubbling up and pulling away from table surface. I notified the extra "Regard Warranty" who denied it saying it was a manufacturers problem. I reached out to Ashley who then referred me back to Regard- who again in turn referred me back to Ashley. After this run around and many many emails with pics -I finally had a tech from Ashley come out and look at table. The tech maybe spent 2 mins looking at table -taking the same pics that I did- and told me someone would contact me. He claimed he would ask to have the table replaced instead of trying to fix it. I waited and waited and finally contacted Ashley again. They said tech never entered a report and they would get back to me within 48 hours. Literally later that evening I received an email(from a no-reply address) with no explanation stating claim was denied and case was closed? I have never had a more frustrating experience with a company in my life!! The worst customer service ever! Not to mention - this table was literally not even a month old ( with the extra warranty I paid for) and no help, no remedy, no nothing was offered? Not only did they fail to deliver on their promises, but they also completely disregarded their own warranty policies!! I specifically went to Ashley because they have been around for a while and a big name furniture store, thinking I would be covered and sold quality furniture and quality service. I was so wrong!! Do Not put your faith into this furniture company- they will scam you! They will take your money and not honor their warranty/guarantee at all!!

Was very disappointed with the 5 drawer dresser that I purchased on the 2ndofJanuary. When I had it picked up on the 3rd of January opened it was broken. I expected it to be usable I want my money back and your company to come pick up It. The people on the phone were no help at all. Please come get and bring me my money. I hope to have this done by Wednesday the 8th of January. Don't you inspect the products before you pack and sell them? I will be getting ahold of the BBB.

The worst experience ever!! I went into the store and purchased a recliner. Had to wait 2 days to pick it up. I got it home and the recliner leans forward when you sit in it. Making it impossible to sit in in comfortably. I called Ashley same day they would not take it back. They sent out a technician over a week later. Saying that is the deign of the chair and, “a lot of people complain about this chair.” Still Ashley won’t exchange or take back this chair. This brand new recliner is now in the garage and needs to be just thrown away as it is unusable. Ashley has a ZERO return/ exchange policy. Of If I n knew that I would have NEVER shop there. Terrible experience!!

Unfortunately the same energy wasn’t given after the sale. Phone calls weren’t returned, an item came damaged, which took weeks to replace, other items were on back order that was supposedly in stock, and their delivery schedule was very inconvenient and interfered with my work schedule. By the third delivery I was finally able to get a Saturday delivery. Unfortunately because of all of the post sale issues I’m deducting one star.

Worst customer service ever they don’t know how to place order or to put the name on computer correctly, I placed order in store for dining table and paid full amount and on the delivery date I get a call from store we can’t deliver because the information dos not much which they already charged my account but they finance department put the hold because in store they switched my first and last name and they canceled my order and when you call they transferred from person to another and no one give you any information they don’t know how to talk

Ashley was well-organized, and my husband and I found the perfect bedroom set at a great price. While everyone was friendly, the checkout experience was less pleasant. The woman who helped us kept suggesting delivery dates that couldn’t be scheduled and didn’t inform us we needed exact change until after we counted all our cash. A sign at the desk would have been helpful. Also, I was surprised to find we were automatically charged $299 for a 5-year protection plan, which I wasn't told about upfront. It would’ve been nice to know, as I would have preferred to opt out. Truthfully, I would have taken my money to Living Spaces but unfortunately, that bedroom set from Ashley was calling my name.

It’s been almost a year, and I’m still dealing with this situation. I’ll try to condense it as much as I can. Long story short, in December 2023, I purchased a couch from this location. The person who put in my order ordered the wrong piece. To fix it, Jeff Wright arranged for the right piece to be delivered and the wrong piece to be picked up. In the second week of January, two men came, dropped off the new section of my couch, and took the wrong piece. Over the next few months, I kept receiving calls from Ashley’s asking to pick up a piece of furniture. Multiple times, I explained that there was nothing to pick up because everything was dealt with during that drop-off back in January. I talked to countless supervisors and customer representatives in hopes of fixing the situation. Around July, I had another phone call asking to set up an appointment to pick up the missing furniture. I explained the whole situation—how the furniture was picked up the day the new one was dropped off—and it finally seemed as if things were fixed. In October 2024, I received a letter essentially stating that I would be sued for the missing furniture. Once again, I called Ashley’s Furniture asking for an explanation because the furniture had been picked up since January. The customer sales representative said she couldn’t explain why the situation had escalated to this point. It’s now November 2024, and I’m being sued by Ashley’s Furniture for $543.74 for a piece of furniture that I haven’t seen since January. Had I known that I would still be charged for something THEY picked up, I would have kept it. I know my experience won’t be everyone’s, but maybe be cautious when buying from them. Didier Almendarez is the person who put the order in incorrectly the first time and has caused me an immense amount of stress. So if you get him as your salesperson, steer clear.

They have fairly nice furniture, and fairly nice prices, however, having to drive all the way back to Lathrop to pick up the table instead of taking it the same night was a real pain in the rear. If they have the item in inventory, they should make their items available for pick up when you were at the store.

We just bought our mattress here and it was the best experience! Didier Almendarez was the one who helped us pick out our mattress and he also helped us understand the importance of having a good mattress and how it affects your health. Best customer service hands down. Didier knows what he's talking about, amazing communicator, he answered all of our questions. Zero stars. Horrible experience. The sales team does not tell you about their policies and then when you try to contact them to fix issues they do not do anything. They also sell default manufactured items that are safety concerns and still do not let you return, refund or even provide a solution. Exceptionally unprofessional and wrong way of doing business. The sales team is horrible and sneaky, and when you try to contact the manager they give their associates information and keep changing their names when they talk to you so you can never get ahold of the person in charge. Gio was our sales guy and on the reciept he put juan ramirez’s name, and introduced chris as the sales manager, when we called the store with issues the store, they made us talk to juan who denied chris being the manager and said derek is their regional manager in charge. We have never met juan or derek but somehow they make the decisions and had us email another associate to create a case for the regional manager to follow up on. No case is created and no one responds to calls or emails or follows up. The online team is useless as well and do not know what they are doing. Save your money and buy furniture from other stores rather than wasting your time and money at ashley and be stuck with unsafe furniture that causes injuries. Very disappointing.

It’s a really nice store with a wide variety of choices from furniture, tables, and stands, etc. I was greeted by Jeff and Victor who helped me with my purchase. I knew what I wanted and what type of furniture and expressed it to them. They showed me what they had and it was exactly what I wanted. They were both kind and patient with me. I needed a couple days to think about it and shop around but Ashley’s has great quality furniture. It also helped that Jeff and Victor were extremely nice, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. It’s been about a month since my purchase and I am extremely happy with it. Thank you Jeff and Victor!

Juan Tores has given us above and beyond five stars service. I purchased a mattress, dinning set and a sofa set. He was very patient with helping us in deciding what we needed. Also, Ashley store has a lot variety to chose from.

We bought a king bed from Ashley store, 18290 S Harlan Rd, Lathrop, CA 95330, United States. The king bed is 4 inches extra wide and 2 inches extra long for a standard king mattress. Store sent us to customer service who also did not do anything. Useless service from Ashley.

Experience was great it they did say couch would be ready for pick up in aa few days because everything was in stock but didn’t get it for 3weeks because they didnt have everything

The mattress was horrible. It broke down with less than 30 days sleeping on it. They insisted we take the same mattress again which now after 20 days is already broken down and I have to contact them again. I will never buy from Ashley again. I would highly recommend it. Not customer friendly.

I was a bit upset at the beginning because nobody seemed to want to help. I waited and waited for several minutes and had to go up to two salespeople talking to each other. They seemed upset I was interrupting their talk. I felt so bad. I told one of the girls that if they didn’t want to help me I could just go ahead and leave. She said she would help me but I wasn’t convinced she really wanted to. I was mad but trying to keep my cool. I let her help me and she did but it was one of the worst buying experiences I have ever had. I don’t think I will ever go back there again.

I was searching for a couch and decided to go to Ashley’s Furniture since it was close by me. I didn’t know what to expect. When we walked in Victor helped us, he answered so many questions and was beyond helpful. I would Not recommend Ashley Furniture. Worse experience!! I ordered living room, dinett and bedroom set in September 3,2024 My delivery date was set for oct1 which was my move in date there was a little delay in a couple of pieces from the bedroom SET that was to be delivered so the date was pushed to November 1st. I wanted to cancel the order Ashley called me back and decided instead of cancelling my order they decided to piece together the bedroom set and gave me a sooner date oct 8th . I knew something was kind of off about this furniture it took a day or 2 to figure it out. Ashley delivered 4 different shades of wood. I ordered a chest, dresser & MIRROR ,nightstand and bed SET !! EVERYTHING IS MIXED MATCH !! I PAID A COUPLE THOUSAND AND HERE I SIT 1 DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY WITH A BEDROOM SET 8 DONT WANT AND THEY REFUSE TO GIVE MY MONEY BACK!! IM STUCK WITH A BEDROOM SET I NEVER ORDERED NOR WANTED !! OMG 😭😭😭😭

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Ashley's Furniture Store in Lathrop. From the moment I walked in, I felt pressured by the sales staff to sign up for credit cards, which seemed more like a priority for them than helping me find the right furniture. I was excited to order a complete room set, and I was assured it would arrive in October. However, I've now been informed that the delivery has been pushed back to December. This delay has caused significant inconvenience, and the lack of communication from the store has only added to my frustration. Overall, I expected a much better experience, especially when making a sizable investment in furniture. I wouldn’t recommend this location based on my experience.

On 10/16/2024, my two friends and I visited Ashley's in Lathrop, and I have to say, the experience was outstanding. I recently moved to a new townhome in Modesto and was looking to furnish it. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Juan (apologies for forgetting his last name) — the handshake was a nice, personal touch you don’t see much these days. Juan wasn’t pushy or overwhelming; instead, he took the time to listen to what I was looking for and explained the layout of the store. It’s a big store, and he made it easy to navigate. What stood out was how genuine he was—he walked us through some options and then gave us space to browse on our own, staying close enough to answer any questions without hovering. His approach made the whole experience comfortable and pressure-free. After spending about 45 minutes to an hour in the store, I found exactly what I was looking for: a beautiful power sofa, powered recliner, and a coffee table. Juan made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Thank you so much, Juan, for your excellent service and for making my shopping experience easy and stress-free. Came into this store researching temper pedic foam mattresses and soon as I came in, we was greeted by one of the sales associates by the name, Marrell who was VERY knowledgeable and professional in sharing the all options of the tempur pedic mattresses. She knew EXACTLY what I wanted and worked with me to provide AMAZING customer service! I ended up purchasing the best mattress for my body. I wanted to get my bed asap, and the team expedited my order so I can get my bed right away within two days! That’s just AWESOME customer service! Anyway, I ended up wanting to get an area rug for my living room and inquired to speak with her store manager (Jeff) to getting me a discount, but instead her manager ended up giving my area rug for FREE! 😊 Thank you for this experience! Do not ever purchase anything from this store. I purchased a mattress and after delivery I set up my bed turn over my mattress and there is a box cutter rip on my mattress. I call to have it replaced it’s still under warranty. However, my initial purchase I told the sales rep my billing address and ship to was wrong. She had my billing and ship to as my UPS store mailbox with her fast talking self her name is Fozia assured me it would be fixed it was not my very first delivery tried to go to my UPS store mailbox and now my replacement delivery still trying to go to my UPS store. I’m ready to return the bed. I wish I could get my money back. Horrible experience with this store and their customer service 800 line is outsourced to another country no customer service etiquette at all. Horrible experience!!!!!

Oh boy if zero stars were a option ! I made a really big purchase in store a item I’m my order was a memory foam firm mattress 14 inch well they delivered a soft 12 inch the wrong item. Forget customer service all I herd was the manager say I will assist and advocate for you in making a claim and seeing what options you have. First off you are not assisting me you are correcting your stores error mind you I showed them pictures and video with measurements that proves the wrong item was delivered. It was not a cheap mattress also the claim frame time is 3 days if you do not hear back you have to chase after them after that time.This should have never happened let alone make the customer further inconvenienced I have back and neck issues so I have at this point supper unhealthy painful sleep. Review update on 10/7/24 I got a call that they would be refunding the mattress and someone would call me for a pickup. Then on 10/15/24 I got another call that I would need to come in for re selection when the called I was at work and today 10/22/24 I spoke to Aileen and explained that I already bought a new mattress elsewhere based on the conversation on 10/7 and she said if I had the name of who I spoke to I did not personally think I had to do that she stated it was my fault and my job to have gotten the name of the person who called on 10/7 and she would only give a credit. With the whole experience what makes them think I would want to shop there again. I did take her advice and took down her name to document how poor horrible untrained the overall customer service is at this store thank you for the tip Aileen.

This place has nothing to offer. They have low inventory but high prices. We were told to wait for 1 minute and after 10 we decided to leave. When at door someone came running and told I told you to wait like we are kids. Like our time isn't important.

I had a really good experience at this store! I was able to furnish almost my whole house here! The sales manager (I believe his name was Jeff) was so helpful and his team was so nice to my kids. My family and I will definitely be back soon to furnish my homes in law suite when it’s done being renovated.

We went in to get a living room and bedroom set. Juan Torres was a great salesman. Very helpful and even brought over an end table for us to match with our couches. Jeff Wright helped with the finance part and gave us a cost that was perfect for us. Will buy from there again.

When I asked price match questions about the products, I was met with condescending remarks and an unhelpful tone. It’s clear they have no regard for their customers, and their behavior was nothing short of offensive. She was so attentive, helpful with comparing and contrasting, and most importantly she wasn’t overbearing and gave us time to shop while still checking in on us. My only issue is the pricing. I drove 1 hour for the same price of a couch I could buy 10 minutes away. I thought I would be getting a deal or outlet prices here, but most items are the same. Overall, happy I received great customer service.

We purchased furniture and art work with the assistance of Victor at the Lathrop Outlet Store. He was very attentive, answered our numerous questions, and even arranged prompt delivery of our purchase. I am usually wary of pressure sales tactics at furniture stores. Victor didn’t do that. If I could give this company zero stars I would. I purchased a table and chairs that I was told was in stock and could be delivered in 2 weeks. On my delivery date I called to get a status update and they told me it wouldn’t be delivered for 2 MONTHS!!! I asked how a sales representative could take my money and give me a false delivery date and there was absolutely no explanation. I will be getting my money back and will never be shopping at this store again. Do not waste your money here!

Worst warranty service ever

We were shopping for a sofa and loveseat. Selection and pricing were good. Everything was good until I called to schedule pickup. I was then informed that my items were on back order and wouldn’t be available for pickup for another four weeks. Would have been nice if the salesperson had told us at checkout. I’m pretty sure he could’ve checked that himself.

I have ordered a manual reclainer sofa today in Ashley store in Lathrop , CA. the sales associate was so good and helpful, she also tried to help us with 5% discount but The store manager refused to offer 5% discount because the sofa we ordered was already on sale so don’t understand why sales associate offered and Manager refused, it was disappointing experience today. 5% discount on a Memorial Day would have been a encouraging experience. But I’m disappointed. I spoke with Manager and said this is my second sofa in Ashley but he was so refit to help the customers. Which is not a helpful manager should work with customers.

Gio is great, super helpful. We took a while choosing the items we wanted - Gio was patient and answered all of our question. Good pricing and also took care of delivery. Store manager is awesome, very approachable and helpful. All the staff here are great. We keep coming back to purchse more items.

I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied - They want $100 on top of the purchase price for delivery which we could not afford. We waited a week to pick it up even though it was in stock on site. We picked up our cabinet and was very excited, we got it home and it was damaged. I Called the store and was told the "tech" needs to come assess the damage. I requested for him to just exchange the piece when he comes. Otherwise, he can either refund us or deliver and unbox a new one that day without charge. The store says that's not how it works. No customer service whatever. Right now I'm waiting to speak with the warehouse because they will not answer the phone. Honestly, they do not back their furniture purchases and their policies are horrible.

Sales Person (Niewsha) was very sweet. I purchased a chair and a bed. Wasn’t happy I had to pay upfront and couldn’t take home that day. Manager was extremely rude. Paid and was told I could pick up the bed the following Tuesday it was in stock. But the chair wouldn’t be in until 2/27. I received a text message from the sales person that the bed wasn’t in stock and wouldn’t be available until 3/8. The bed she confirmed was in stock was part of another order. I cancelled the bed and asked to be refunded. I would wait for the chair. I called to schedule my pick up for my chair and low and behold, it now won’t be in until 3/15! I am not counting my eggs before they hatch. Ashley will tell you anything to get you to purchase. But they don’t deliver. This is not the first time the family has been deceived. Good luck if you buy from Ashley! It will be months before you get your merchandise. Management is no help and has no customer service skills. Buyer beware, go someplace else to make your purchase.

So, I went to Ashley Furniture in Lathrop with a mental list of what I needed and a budget for what I was able to afford. I was introduced to Paula who very expertly helped me navigate the store and put together an order that fulfilled all of my expectations and even came in under budget. Paula was kind, thoughtful, compassionate, and knowledgeable, and helped me through this rather unwanted process. I chose to have the pieces delivered and setup, and since I hadn't been inside of the new residence before I made the purchase and was unable to get dimensions, I ended up with a piece of furniture that would not work. I thought this was going to be a headache, but thanks to Store Manager Derek and fellow Manager Tanner the switch to the correct item was as painless as it could be. Given the situaiton I found myself in, and the rather tight timetable I needed the furniture delivered by, it woud have been very easy for the staff at Ashley Furniture to take advantage of me - but they instead took care of me. In a day and age when customer service seems to be a dying facet of our society, it's refreshing to know that there are still places like Ashley Furniture that are willing to go the extra mile to take care of their customers. From the moment I walked in the door to make my purchase to the text message that Derek sent to make sure that everything was perfect, they were there doing everything in their power to help. While I hope to never, ever find myself walking into another store under those conditions, I can say - without a doubt - that I will be back to Ashley Furniture for anything that I need in the future. Give them your business - you won't be dissapointed.
