I have never had so many issues with furniture I have purchased before. I got the warranty and paid them to install my bed frame it was done incorrectly and is still breaking apart ask for a whole new frame and was denied. I will never shop here again and what makes the whole thing worst is I am not even done paying for it yet plus all the interest now added on to my bill. So excited to be done with this company. Would not recommend getting furniture here ever.

Bought the couch on Wednesday, July 2nd and was delivered on Saturday July 5th. Delivery was quick, the guys were organized and had it in my house, unboxed and legs put on in less than 10 minutes. Very pleased with everything. Will buy from this store again, when needed.

Looking for a new mattress, we went to Mor Furniture and browsed for 45 minutes. During our visit there was no contact from a Mor staff member, so we went to Ashley Furniture. As soon as we walked into Ashley Furniture we were greeted by a very nice person by the name of Yajaira. Yajaira proceeded to ask us what she could help us with. Well..Yajaira not only sold us a mattress, she gave us a fantastic deal on a bed frame, 2 end tables and another mattress for our daughter. The manager Steve was also great ! We found the perfect furniture for our new home. We came in for a sofa but ended up getting a dining table and two recliners. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were offered a great deal on financing and they had great discount offers for us to take advantage of. We are excited that they will also assemble and deliver our furniture right to the door! Anna was our very helpful associate. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend them.

Reuben was great! He greeted us as soon as we came in. This was refreshing since we just came from a different furniture store with no greeting until we were halfway through the store and no thank you, goodbye until we were almost all the way out the door. Reuben got us started by showing us how we can find the specs and prices on what we were looking for and any other information we needed. He also let us know he was available for anythimg else we wanted to know. One of my daughters was joking around about him getting us water and he actually went above and beyond to get some. Not impressed by the pac man people working there. Yes, that is how I viewed them, they were all going everywhere but nowhere! If they were all standing around, I'd say that, but it wasn't so. I was in sales before. Customer service will either make or break your company. I needed more individualized attention. It wasn't there. And checking out, oh my, I need to set a day apart just to do that. It has taken me about 4 hours to buy a $100 thousand RV and it took 30 minutes to but a $32 item, and this was not the 1st time. Even someone saw my husband carrying a stool and he got out of the way lol, instead of helping him! The guy helping us was still being a pac man. Till he saw us talking to the gal that supposedly was teaching them how to fill out the paperwork. Because we didn't want to go out of town for what we were looking for, we went to Ashley, as previously (4years ago) I don't think we'll be going back soon.

Update: 5/13/25- During the ordering process with Anna, we specifically clarified that our new couches would be going to a different address than listed on our account. Anna confirmed our shipping address to make sure that she had it correct. Our shipping was scheduled for that Friday, but they delivered to the wrong house! So now we've been on and off the phone with customer service and still a week later and NO COUCHES!!! We were offered a refund for the delivery of $299.00 but they said it would take 10 days so still haven't seen that pending. If its not pending in time we will need to call again. Come to find out, Ashley only delivers on Saturday for the address we needed delivered to... so how on earth was she able to schedule the delivery on a Friday initially? I dont know who dropped the ball but we are still waiting for couches that should have been delivered already. Anna helped my family and I today at the Merced Store. She greeted us as we came in and immediately asked what we were looking for and handed us a current discounts flyer. She let us look around and gave us a few directions to look in for what we were interested in. She told us about the new fabric they offered and also provided information on the 5 year protection plan. The price online was cheaper and when i mentioned that she said she could match pricing which. Overall we had a great experience and 45 minutes later, $4k spent.

My fiancé and I purchased a dining table and chairs from them. When delivered one of the chairs was cracked we asked for a replacement. They said it would be delivered within a week. It has nearly been over a month almost two months, yet we haven’t received anything. Every time we call the person “in charge” isn’t there, the parts department is closed or they have no answers. They’ve said several times they’ll give us a call back the following day and never do. When we call they aren’t available or have no answers. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Today I visited the Merced store. Anna helped me and I purchase z3 end tables a couch and an area rug. As I pulled around to have my purchase loaded, Anna asked Ruen and Ryan to help me load my things, I was with my niece who just had a baby and I was unable to carry the heavy items. Ryan appeared irritated when asked to help. I started walking back to show him my purchases. Two of the tables I purchased were brass and one that so didn’t purchase was silver. When Anna asked Ryan to help me he said he didn’t know what I bought so I walked back with him to show him. He asked which was it and I said the brass one, frank and another gentleman had carried the other things and were loading it to my car. Ryan said he didn’t know which one. I repeated the brass one and he said he didn’t know which one. I thought he didn’t hear me so I repeated louder the brass one. His behavior was clearly in customer service like and seemed irritated and said don’t raise your voice to me. Ryan was very unprofessional and does not reflect the Ashley brand. In the past 15 years I have purchased several items from there and always get great service like Anna and Ruben provided. This is very disappointing and I hope Ryan is able to get the training he needs to raise his customer service level. He completely acted like he didn’t want to be there and I reminded him he is in customer service and needs to change his behavior.

Never buying from them again, and don't purchase thier furniture protection plan ,it's a scam. Paid $150 for protection plan, which states they cover rips and tears... got a rip in the side of my couch and sent out a claim they said they wouldn't cover it because it was a hole... a hole, rip and tear are all the same.. so when I requested a return for my protection plan since it doesn't cover what it says it supposed to , they sent me an email saying they would send me a check for $20.08. I told them I want my full refund and they still sent me the $20... never again.. Horrible customer service.

Originally, I had my mind set on a memory foam mattress and after sharing the pros and cons of it, we settled for a more high end mattress for its longevity and comfort for a side sleeper. Luckily Yajaira helped me through getting qualified for Synchrony so that way I’ll be making monthly payments without interests.

Walked in to browse on our day off with no intention to buy anything. We were promptly approached by Ana Gonsales. She was nice at first and let us walk around. We were about leave when we saw a bed frame that was a showroom clear out buy as is type deal. We let her know we wanted to purchase said bed frame and she kept pushing us to buy more furniture after running our credit. We had to tell her several times we only wanted the bed frame since we were not interested in buying more furniture. After she finally rang up our bed frame and listened to us her attitude changed completely. She became rude and belittled my wife for asking when the frame would be ready. She told us we only had 48hrs to pick it up. We made accommodations to get it picked up next day but we never received a call to get it picked up so I then called customer service to see if it was ready and they apologized we were misinformed but that the bed will be ready in 48hrs(11/14) for pick up. Now it is 11/14 and I have received a phone call from Ana which felt more like a lecture if I’m being quite honest. Right away she told me why havent you picked up the bed frame it has been 3 days and we need it out of our showroom. I informed her that no one had called us to get it picked up the next day so I called customer service to see when it was ready. She then told me “it was ready next day and our job is not to call you to get it picked up”. This phone call was very rude and I am still pretty upset and mad about it. I tried calling customer service to complain but it got me no where. I will be picking up the bed frame later today. I hope to speak to a manager then.

Went in to look at recliners, found one that we were interested in and bought the entire set. When we arrived home we noticed that the sales person ordered the wrong color. So I called n had them change to the grey, the initial delivery date was supposed to be the last of July, but bc there was an order change that pushed us back to August 27th, we then got a notice that the furniture was arriving today, the delivery people called n gave us a 30 minute window. They arrived in less than 10 mins and no flippin recliner, the salesperson assured us the order was for 6 pieces. I am not a happy customer, they are a bait n switch company bc they send messages all the time come on in see our sales prices, you get there n there's nothing on sale, n u also can't make your purchase and pick it up yourself bc it's got to be made, this sounds like bait & switch, I will NEVER do business with this company again!!! As for your salesperson Yahira, she needs another job bc she's not good at what she does, n she's not truthful by a long shot!

I went to Ashley to buy a couch a few months back. I was helped by Ana and couldn't be happier with my experience. Ana went above and beyond to ensure that I got exactly what I was looking for. I used to be a manager at one of the Ashley’s located in Milpitas CA. I also worked for Ethan Allen and Living Spaces. Ashley furniture store has always been my preferred store to shop for furniture because of the quality overall and the prices (if you know when to shop for all their good deals or when they have financing specials). On 4th of July I visited Ashley’s in Merced with my grandpa. Now even though I’m familiar with their stock, prices, special financing terms etc, the only advice/suggestion I gave to my grandpa who’s shopping for a new mattress is, tempurpedic’s warranty is one of the best warranties on mattresses than any other brand, hands down. Ana who is our sale assistant was so patient and kind while working with us. Originally my grandpa just wanted a new mattress but when buying a new mattress and not a new base for the mattress you’re running the risk of your mattress not fitting correctly on the base which can turn into a big problem. Ana explained to my grandfather the risks and the hassle of not buying the base with the mattress at the time. She even reiterated what I had mentioned before about delivery, that if my grandpa buys just the mattress now then order the base later, the delivery crew will NOT pick up, lift or move the mattress that was delivered a few days before the base. It’s in the delivery company’s contract, which a lot of ppl don’t understand. Maria explained and went over everything thoroughly and answered all of my grandpa’s questions and concerns. My grandpa is not an easy person that shops so of course I helped him but Ana is the real MVP because most people wouldn’t be able to tolerate my grandpa lol. And for the record, Ashley’s has a better shopping experience/environment. And what I mean by that, unlike Living Spaces, where all the sales people hound you in every department asking if you need help or have any questions, their repetitive approach gets annoying and feels more like their trying to get you to buy something before leaving the store even though Living Spaces sales people are on hourly wage and Living Spaces claims that’s how they are different from sales ppl from Ashley’s and any other store because they’re not “really trying to sale you” but they really are. So for an overall better experience shopping for furniture, Ashley Homestore will always be my go to store. I will always recommend them to family and friends and even strangers. Better quality, customer service, the sales people are awesome to work with. I’m moving soon and I’ll be coming to this store, the Ashley’s in Merced to purchase all my furniture for my new house in Tracy. I like Ana so much even though I wasn’t her direct customer, I do plan on working with her when I’m ready to purchase new furniture for my home.

I felt absolutely scammed by this furniture store! I did an online search for "queen mattress near me" and there were a few options that popped up. Ashley furniture seemingly had the best price. So, I went to the store to make the purchase and I had my friend meet me there with his truck. I go in and am greeted by an associate, who leads me to the mattress to "feel" and look at. Since I needed the mattress immediately for my mom and step dad, I said ok, I'll take it. The associate said ok, it'll be here on Thursday. To which I said, can I get it sooner? The answer was no. After getting rung up I learned that I have to pay the delivery fee which wasn't shared with me in the beginning. I also learned that after you "feel" the mattress and make the purchase you cannot return it unless it is defective. Also, you cannot have it shipped to the store to avoid the delivery fee. I felt like I was bamboozled because this information was not shared beforehand. I shared my feelings with the associate and all she said was "well, that's just our policy ". My experience was terrible. I do not recommend shopping here.

I originally thought I would be leaving a good review. Unfortunately, in light of recent events if I could give 1 star I would. Customer service is ATROCIOUS, even by the manager. I purchased a couch and love seat for my parents. One of the main reasons we went with Ashley was due to the delivery date. Yet when my mom called to see if she could get an update on the delivery TIME she was told actually not only would it not be delivered when we were told they would be, but they won’t even be to the warehouse until the date that was supposed to be the delivery date. Instead, due to their address… it won’t be delivered for at least 2 weeks! I understand things happen, where the terrible customer service comes into play is the fact that there was ZERO communication about the delivery change. No phone call, email, nothing. It took my mom going into the store to find out! It’s absolutely disgusting the lack of willingness to perform a job.

Great experience. Although I was hoping to take home furniture today(I believe that would assist in increasing sales volume), I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service offered by Staff. Pam helped me from start to finish and was extremely helpful in answering any and all questions, from the availability of items, to the total cost explanation(warranty, base cost, shipping etc), to the weight of items(in considering lifetime durability via density of engineered wood materials), and all the way to style choices. She was extremely knowledgeable and did not push an uncomfortably hard sale, I would say she was just assertive enough to be efficient in getting the job done. The only hiccup that could be smoothed out was the Wifi to the device seemed to be intermittent and Pam had to navigate around to the service desk to get a cleaner connection, but even that she made light of and kept any feelings of impatience at bay. Great Store, Great Staff, And Great Management HR, Keep up the good work, I will be shopping here again, I am disappointed I did not visit this spot sooner. Thanks, -J

RJ was very helpful and informative when we were buying our furniture. We were supposed to have ALL of our furniture delivered on the 9th. All we got was our couch and in table. And the guys who delivered them didn't even put the in table together correctly. I had to go down to the store to find out the rest of our furniture was on back order. So now, we have a partial delivery on the 19th and we get our love seat on the 26th. We can't even have guests over for Christmas.

A manager told me that price match their own products if their website showed a different price. I wanted a set of couches that were just under $3k. I had to wait for bank to open to allow my card to be used beyond normal daily limit. We shook and I left after he said he would call the next day, to complete the transaction. Well, he called to say his boss told him that they would lose too much on the deal and they will not be honoring our deal, which was just a darn price match of their own product from their own website! The site has two couches for the same price as the same single couch sold in-store...After shaking hands, the manager was put in a bad spot. I feel bad for him but shame on his boss for backing out of a deal after it was agreed and even after the manager shook on it! The manager said he felt bad for me...but I feel bad for him. Horrible experience for both of us.

I am very unhappy with this place. I have a credit card through them. It was so confusing to me that when purchasing the item, separate from my credit card, I had to pay separately a deposit and shipping. I feel that, that was outrageous. Then I got the item, and it was damaged. The movers brought me my item put together already and banged it on the way in and was rushing. Plus, there were other visible marks beside what they caused. I talked to the store associate, and they made a report. They told me that they would send another one out. So when it was supposedly delivered I was not home but a friend of mine was and they came and did a touch it up! Ummm, noooo!!! I'm most likely not going to get anything else from them. I paid for a brand new item. I expect a brand new undamaged item. Simple.

Looking for what I wanted was great. Mike was very nice & helpful. BUT, no follow through. First they didn't tell me my bed frame was on backorder, then they delivered just my mattress, and now the reschedule was between 10 to 2om on 8.19.23 and I am still waiting. It is 3:30 now. No calls no nothing! I didn't even get a call that my frame was on back order iriginally. And, the phone number given never gets you to the store. The cust service reps don't even know what's going on either! I'm frustrated right now

Yeah I dealt with the manager there, she was pretty helpful, displayed knowledge pretty well, I think for me she was very respectful and any more. That's rare, place is a little pricey but once in a while it's good to treat oneself, so yeah, I'll go back and check some more stuff out
