Anna was very helpful and helped every step of the way to get a dresser and nightstand for an existing bed we already have, very nice and communicative and is bilingual so she was able to speak to me and my husband and my mom as well since she speaks spanish
Anna helped my family and I today at the Merced Store. She greeted us as we came in and immediately asked what we were looking for and handed us a current discounts flyer. She let us look around and gave us a few directions to look in for what we were interested in. She told us about the new fabric they offered and also provided information on the 5 year protection plan. The price online was cheaper and when i mentioned that she said she could match pricing which. Overall we had a great experience and 45 minutes later, $4k spent.

My fiancé and I purchased a dining table and chairs from them. When delivered one of the chairs was cracked we asked for a replacement. They said it would be delivered within a week. It has nearly been over a month almost two months, yet we haven’t received anything. Every time we call the person “in charge” isn’t there, the parts department is closed or they have no answers. They’ve said several times they’ll give us a call back the following day and never do. When we call they aren’t available or have no answers. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Today I visited the Merced store. Anna helped me and I purchase z3 end tables a couch and an area rug. As I pulled around to have my purchase loaded, Anna asked Ruen and Ryan to help me load my things, I was with my niece who just had a baby and I was unable to carry the heavy items. Ryan appeared irritated when asked to help. I started walking back to show him my purchases. Two of the tables I purchased were brass and one that so didn’t purchase was silver. When Anna asked Ryan to help me he said he didn’t know what I bought so I walked back with him to show him. He asked which was it and I said the brass one, frank and another gentleman had carried the other things and were loading it to my car. Ryan said he didn’t know which one. I repeated the brass one and he said he didn’t know which one. I thought he didn’t hear me so I repeated louder the brass one. His behavior was clearly in customer service like and seemed irritated and said don’t raise your voice to me. Ryan was very unprofessional and does not reflect the Ashley brand. In the past 15 years I have purchased several items from there and always get great service like Anna and Ruben provided. This is very disappointing and I hope Ryan is able to get the training he needs to raise his customer service level. He completely acted like he didn’t want to be there and I reminded him he is in customer service and needs to change his behavior.

Never buying from them again, and don't purchase thier furniture protection plan ,it's a scam. Paid $150 for protection plan, which states they cover rips and tears... got a rip in the side of my couch and sent out a claim they said they wouldn't cover it because it was a hole... a hole, rip and tear are all the same.. so when I requested a return for my protection plan since it doesn't cover what it says it supposed to , they sent me an email saying they would send me a check for $20.08. I told them I want my full refund and they still sent me the $20... never again.. Horrible customer service.

Walked in to buy a couch. I wasn't going to leave without. But the saleswoman told me it would be a month before they could deliver it. They only came to my town once a month. So I just left and went to Mor furniture, purchased a couch, is being delivered within a Week. I'll never bother going to Ashley furniture again.

Yajaira F. provided great customer and helped me choose the right bed. Originally, I had my mind set on a memory foam mattress and after sharing the pros and cons of it, we settled for a more high end mattress for its longevity and comfort for a side sleeper. Luckily Yajaira helped me through getting qualified for Synchrony so that way I’ll be making monthly payments without interests.

I came into the store looking for a mattress because I suffered a neck injury, and Anna was very helpful ever since I came into the store. She was very patient while I decided which mattress i wanted. She helped me differentiate between my options with her extended knowledge until I finally made up my mind. Juan, one of the stores manager also came to help me pick out a frame that was both affordable and still met my needs. Overall great experience.

Anna was amazing. Anna proved a pressure free, no hassle shopping experience and was available when we had any questions. Without the pressure of being sold, we got everything we needed to upgrade our bedroom, including delivery and setup.

Walked in to browse on our day off with no intention to buy anything. We were promptly approached by Ana Gonsales. She was nice at first and let us walk around. We were about leave when we saw a bed frame that was a showroom clear out buy as is type deal. We let her know we wanted to purchase said bed frame and she kept pushing us to buy more furniture after running our credit. We had to tell her several times we only wanted the bed frame since we were not interested in buying more furniture. After she finally rang up our bed frame and listened to us her attitude changed completely. She became rude and belittled my wife for asking when the frame would be ready. She told us we only had 48hrs to pick it up. We made accommodations to get it picked up next day but we never received a call to get it picked up so I then called customer service to see if it was ready and they apologized we were misinformed but that the bed will be ready in 48hrs(11/14) for pick up. Now it is 11/14 and I have received a phone call from Ana which felt more like a lecture if I’m being quite honest. Right away she told me why havent you picked up the bed frame it has been 3 days and we need it out of our showroom. I informed her that no one had called us to get it picked up the next day so I called customer service to see when it was ready. She then told me “it was ready next day and our job is not to call you to get it picked up”. This phone call was very rude and I am still pretty upset and mad about it. I tried calling customer service to complain but it got me no where. I will be picking up the bed frame later today. I hope to speak to a manager then.

Went in to look at recliners, found one that we were interested in and bought the entire set. When we arrived home we noticed that the sales person ordered the wrong color. So I called n had them change to the grey, the initial delivery date was supposed to be the last of July, but bc there was an order change that pushed us back to August 27th, we then got a notice that the furniture was arriving today, the delivery people called n gave us a 30 minute window. They arrived in less than 10 mins and no flippin recliner, the salesperson assured us the order was for 6 pieces. I am not a happy customer, they are a bait n switch company bc they send messages all the time come on in see our sales prices, you get there n there's nothing on sale, n u also can't make your purchase and pick it up yourself bc it's got to be made, this sounds like bait & switch, I will NEVER do business with this company again!!! As for your salesperson Yahira, she needs another job bc she's not good at what she does, n she's not truthful by a long shot!

My wife and came in just looking for a dresser, and we were incredibly impressed with the service we received from Yajaira. So much so we ended up with a full bedroom set and a new mattress.
We had horrible customer service with Kee. We needed an extra day to pick up a dining set and she would not accommodate us. In addition, she was rude and condescending. We were going to come back to buy more items, but after this experience we will shop elsewhere.

I went to Ashley to buy a couch a few months back. I was helped by Ana and couldn't be happier with my experience. Ana went above and beyond to ensure that I got exactly what I was looking for. Ana was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and very patient while helping me. I can't praise Ana's customer service highly enough. I will definitely be back to see Ana the next time I need to purchase furniture!
I used to be a manager at one of the Ashley’s located in Milpitas CA. I also worked for Ethan Allen and Living Spaces. Ashley furniture store has always been my preferred store to shop for furniture because of the quality overall and the prices (if you know when to shop for all their good deals or when they have financing specials). On 4th of July I visited Ashley’s in Merced with my grandpa. Now even though I’m familiar with their stock, prices, special financing terms etc, the only advice/suggestion I gave to my grandpa who’s shopping for a new mattress is, tempurpedic’s warranty is one of the best warranties on mattresses than any other brand, hands down. Ana who is our sale assistant was so patient and kind while working with us. Originally my grandpa just wanted a new mattress but when buying a new mattress and not a new base for the mattress you’re running the risk of your mattress not fitting correctly on the base which can turn into a big problem. Ana explained to my grandfather the risks and the hassle of not buying the base with the mattress at the time. She even reiterated what I had mentioned before about delivery, that if my grandpa buys just the mattress now then order the base later, the delivery crew will NOT pick up, lift or move the mattress that was delivered a few days before the base. It’s in the delivery company’s contract, which a lot of ppl don’t understand. Maria explained and went over everything thoroughly and answered all of my grandpa’s questions and concerns. My grandpa is not an easy person that shops so of course I helped him but Ana is the real MVP because most people wouldn’t be able to tolerate my grandpa lol. And for the record, Ashley’s has a better shopping experience/environment. And what I mean by that, unlike Living Spaces, where all the sales people hound you in every department asking if you need help or have any questions, their repetitive approach gets annoying and feels more like their trying to get you to buy something before leaving the store even though Living Spaces sales people are on hourly wage and Living Spaces claims that’s how they are different from sales ppl from Ashley’s and any other store because they’re not “really trying to sale you” but they really are. So for an overall better experience shopping for furniture, Ashley Homestore will always be my go to store. I will always recommend them to family and friends and even strangers. Better quality, customer service, the sales people are awesome to work with. I’m moving soon and I’ll be coming to this store, the Ashley’s in Merced to purchase all my furniture for my new house in Tracy. I like Ana so much even though I wasn’t her direct customer, I do plan on working with her when I’m ready to purchase new furniture for my home.

I felt absolutely scammed by this furniture store! I did an online search for "queen mattress near me" and there were a few options that popped up. Ashley furniture seemingly had the best price. So, I went to the store to make the purchase and I had my friend meet me there with his truck. I go in and am greeted by an associate, who leads me to the mattress to "feel" and look at. Since I needed the mattress immediately for my mom and step dad, I said ok, I'll take it. The associate said ok, it'll be here on Thursday. To which I said, can I get it sooner? The answer was no. After getting rung up I learned that I have to pay the delivery fee which wasn't shared with me in the beginning. I also learned that after you "feel" the mattress and make the purchase you cannot return it unless it is defective. Also, you cannot have it shipped to the store to avoid the delivery fee. I felt like I was bamboozled because this information was not shared beforehand. I shared my feelings with the associate and all she said was "well, that's just our policy ". My experience was terrible. I do not recommend shopping here.

I originally thought I would be leaving a good review. Unfortunately, in light of recent events if I could give 1 star I would. Customer service is ATROCIOUS, even by the manager. I purchased a couch and love seat for my parents. One of the main reasons we went with Ashley was due to the delivery date. Yet when my mom called to see if she could get an update on the delivery TIME she was told actually not only would it not be delivered when we were told they would be, but they won’t even be to the warehouse until the date that was supposed to be the delivery date. Instead, due to their address… it won’t be delivered for at least 2 weeks! I understand things happen, where the terrible customer service comes into play is the fact that there was ZERO communication about the delivery change. No phone call, email, nothing. It took my mom going into the store to find out! It’s absolutely disgusting the lack of willingness to perform a job.

Great experience. Although I was hoping to take home furniture today(I believe that would assist in increasing sales volume), I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service offered by Staff. Pam helped me from start to finish and was extremely helpful in answering any and all questions, from the availability of items, to the total cost explanation(warranty, base cost, shipping etc), to the weight of items(in considering lifetime durability via density of engineered wood materials), and all the way to style choices. She was extremely knowledgeable and did not push an uncomfortably hard sale, I would say she was just assertive enough to be efficient in getting the job done. The only hiccup that could be smoothed out was the Wifi to the device seemed to be intermittent and Pam had to navigate around to the service desk to get a cleaner connection, but even that she made light of and kept any feelings of impatience at bay. Great Store, Great Staff, And Great Management HR, Keep up the good work, I will be shopping here again, I am disappointed I did not visit this spot sooner. Thanks, -J

RJ was very helpful and informative when we were buying our furniture. We were supposed to have ALL of our furniture delivered on the 9th. All we got was our couch and in table. And the guys who delivered them didn't even put the in table together correctly. I had to go down to the store to find out the rest of our furniture was on back order. So now, we have a partial delivery on the 19th and we get our love seat on the 26th. We can't even have guests over for Christmas.

A manager told me that price match their own products if their website showed a different price. I wanted a set of couches that were just under $3k. I had to wait for bank to open to allow my card to be used beyond normal daily limit. We shook and I left after he said he would call the next day, to complete the transaction. Well, he called to say his boss told him that they would lose too much on the deal and they will not be honoring our deal, which was just a darn price match of their own product from their own website! The site has two couches for the same price as the same single couch sold in-store...After shaking hands, the manager was put in a bad spot. I feel bad for him but shame on his boss for backing out of a deal after it was agreed and even after the manager shook on it! The manager said he felt bad for me...but I feel bad for him. Horrible experience for both of us.

I am very unhappy with this place. I have a credit card through them. It was so confusing to me that when purchasing the item, separate from my credit card, I had to pay separately a deposit and shipping. I feel that, that was outrageous. Then I got the item, and it was damaged. The movers brought me my item put together already and banged it on the way in and was rushing. Plus, there were other visible marks beside what they caused. I talked to the store associate, and they made a report. They told me that they would send another one out. So when it was supposedly delivered I was not home but a friend of mine was and they came and did a touch it up! Ummm, noooo!!! I'm most likely not going to get anything else from them. I paid for a brand new item. I expect a brand new undamaged item. Simple.

Looking for what I wanted was great. Mike was very nice & helpful. BUT, no follow through. First they didn't tell me my bed frame was on backorder, then they delivered just my mattress, and now the reschedule was between 10 to 2om on 8.19.23 and I am still waiting. It is 3:30 now. No calls no nothing! I didn't even get a call that my frame was on back order iriginally. And, the phone number given never gets you to the store. The cust service reps don't even know what's going on either! I'm frustrated right now
Yeah I dealt with the manager there, she was pretty helpful, displayed knowledge pretty well, I think for me she was very respectful and any more. That's rare, place is a little pricey but once in a while it's good to treat oneself, so yeah, I'll go back and check some more stuff out

She helped us determine what would fit our body type, as in my back pain and my husband snoring. we went with a purple adjustable base and a firm mattress. His service was truly impeccable and he went above and beyond to hear my thoughts and provide his expertise. His customer service is one of a kind, which is few and far between these days. We bought an outdoor patio set at Ashley’s in Merced and the whole experience was terrific. First, the store had a much better choice of modern furniture than we anticipated (in addition to recliners with canholders). The team at the store is fantastic - everyone was helpful, working to find options we might like, looking for alternatives etc. When we decided on a set, the sales manager Gagan and team members Mike, Tonya and Victoria helped us load the entire huge set into our Subaru from the back of the store. They kept in touch, texted us since we had to make multiple trips and were just fabulous and cheerful despite 100 degree heat and heavy furniture moving. The furniture is great, super sturdy and looks excellent in our yard. Highly recommend Ashley’s in Merced - competitive pricing and the best, most helpful and most competent sales team anywhere! We will be back for sure!

I went to Ashley furniture about 3 weeks ago. Victoria helped me in the store she was awesome. She showed me different products and knew information for each item. The reason for my low review is not the in -store staff but the actual service from the delivery staff and the actual products I received. I got a dresser and an oversized circle couch. The dresser I got had paint damage. The couch when recived was dirty. Unfortunately I had someone else at home during delivery and they didn't notice the defects until I got home. I reached out same day to ask what to do Ashley furniture placed a claim and had to submit pictures. I was approved for an exchange and even the 2nd couch they brought me was dirty. When I pointed it out to the delivery guy he said all I could do was have a technician come see if they can clean the dirty couch they delivered. They told me I had to sign that they dropped it off. He tried to make me feel like I was crazy for seeing marks on the couch. The delivery men are unprofessional there just in a hurry drop off the product. They wore gloves but so dirty I was worried about them touching the couch. They didn't even wear shoe covers. Also not to mention they scrapped and dented my bed room door during delivery too. After this experience I don't think I will be shopping at Ashley Furniture again the delivery service ruined it for me. Let's hope 3rd times a charm I can finally get a clean couch.

I bought the furniture 2 years ago with a 5 year protection plan for $500 extra. As you can see in the photo the fabric is ripping or tearing without cause. The protection plan covers rips and tears. Ashley does not use this protection company any longer so they won't send anyone to look at it. I have tried for 3 months to get them to come out and repair or replace it.
The young lady named Victoria who helped us find what we wanted was very good. She's very polite and courteous and did not pressure us at all.

We purchased a $1500 bed about 8-9 months ago. The bed we purchased was the same name and identical to the displayed in their store but it didn’t feel nowhere near as nice as the displayed one. I can’t return the bed so I purchased another bed from big lots. The bed I bought from big lots was so much better plus it was less than half the price.

Be careful when purchasing from this store, especially if you are being helped by a new sales rep. I was told I would pay no interest on my purchase, turns out I am paying interest. When I contacted the store manager he told me it had been a mistake on their part. I asked if he could honor what was said to me when I made my purchase. He said no! I would not recommend this store.

What I mean was that we were told, the day we went in to the store to order the frame that they would be able to take up to 5 pieces. When the delivery service arrived the information was incorrect they could only take 1 piece for 1 delivery piece. I absolutely understood the delivery process and why, if we were told that at the store, there would not have been frustration on our end. So please inform sales the correct delivery protocol. Went in to look for a TV stand and Anthony helped find the best one for us. He was super easy to talk to, not pushy and felt like he genuinely cared about us having the best experience with them. He even helped us with some concerns we had with delivery and now I have a nice looking TV stand with a fancy little heater to warm up my house.
I looked for ages to find the tv stand that would be built different like me. Luckily when I went to Ashley's and met Anthony. He had the same Chad energy like me. He not only sold me on buying a new TV stand he went above and beyond to make sure I had a quality delivery. I honestly think in terms of a salesman there is no one that can match his enthusiasm and love for his job. You bet I'm going to buy the matching set to go with it soon.

I was currently on the hunt for a comfortable recliner , Im in the last months of my pregnancy and this mama needed something comfy ASAP. The worst experience ever- we received our first delivery with the couch being dragged off the truck and of course, it got ruined- so we sent it ALL back. Waited a month later to get the couch delivered and now, the chaise is creaking as if its old. 2 technicians have been here after almost 2 months of issues to get them here. 1st tech glued the inside-2nd tech stated, "made wrong and cannot be fixed"- now waiting over a week after calling the day the tech left to hear back from a "manager" regarding sending the entire couch back. The worse experience ever, from day one we were lied to and continue to be lied to- waste of time, empty promises and money!

Still waiting over 5 weeks for furniture, tried to cancel order but have not had any replies. Was told I would get a call for cancellation verification between 48 & 72 hours and it has been 6 days. Worst purchase of my life. Should of looked at reviews prior to purchase.

Nothing remarkable in regard to the sales experience at the store. The terrible experience began upon delivery of furniture. I was warned by my sales associate that the delivery service is provided by outside contractors and they can be pushy so be prepared to speak up if I had any issues. We’ll, I did. The two men that delivered the furniture made no attempt to prevent damage to items as they unpacked them. Scuffs, scratches and a couch sliced with box cutter. Out of the eight pieces that were delivered, three were damaged. I refused the order and they packed it all up and we rescheduled for another delivery over a month later. I went into store to speak with the store manager to inform him of the delivery service, he responded with “we have been receiving many complaints about the contractors.” After getting delivery pushed back over and over again, I cancelled entire order and went elsewhere. It didn’t end there. There is still a charge on my credit card for the furniture I never received. I have tried for hours to contact the local store or Ashley’s customer care line and finally I get a hold of someone. I was told “sorry the charge was never refunded, looks like someone never filed the refund, it will take up to 3 billing cycles for the transaction to come off your card.” Takeaways: Store experience - not bad Delivery - steaming pile… Warehouse scheduling - garbage Customer support phone line and online - waste of time Wow. I’ve had better furniture shopping experiences at BigLots(nothing against BL).
Placed my order 03/02/22, promised to be delivered mid-April, the sales manager offered free delivery and promised I would get my items delivered 05/06, only to get a call that my items were still back ordered until JULY. I called again and was told my items would be delivered 05/20/22, no call no communication from the store or driver confirming prior to 05/20/22. I finally got fed up with lies and canceled my entire order. It's sad because I bought a couch /sectional and a kitchen table in 2020 from Ashley's in the bay area(Milpitas). I'm now waiting for my refund of the down payment that I was told I will receive in 14 business days. I'm unsure if that will happen on time. Terrible experience. :((((
Terrible experience. From the moment we walked in, we were being followed. First by one salesman (who seemed to have given up after about 5 mins because he couldn’t even show me the fabric on couches that I needed), then soon after another lady who was kind but incredibly pushy (she even tried to load the sofas onto her cart on her tablet to order and when I told her I needed to go home and measure first, she tried to convince me to order and cancel if needed, that alone felt like a trap) and as we were getting ready to walk out the store, the floor manager stopped us to see what could be done to “ensure our business today”. To summarize our experience, they seem to have a rule that they must follow customers around the store 15 feet away which makes it extremely creepy and uncomfortable. They had more employees walking around than customers themselves. Their couches are low quality. They don’t accept people who are just browsing and cling to you when you want to leave. Please do not make the same mistake as us. Take these warnings and go elsewhere to ensure you won’t be traumatized by the employees at Ashley furniture. One star is too high of a rating to give this place.
Service was good in store until the processing of my order went through, it’s like they never submitted my delivery order, i was supposed to get a confirmation for my delivery or phone call, never received both, i was told it’d be delivered yesterday may 7th and i call customer service to find out no delivery was placed that day for my order.

We don't have anything to complain about their service or furniture, but I decided to write a review and give them zero stars because they are stubborn and unprofessional. We canceled our order last week, and they told me I would receive a confirmation email that the order was canceled and I would also get my money back in 6-7 business days. Well, next thing you know, we have Ashley calling us about our cancellation, and they never canceled our order. They keep telling us that we need to call to cancel the order. We called them back 3 times already, telling them to cancel our order, and for some reason, they keep calling, stating we need to call them back to cancel. They do not want to cancel our order and wait until our delivery date to charge us some charge before they cancel. I will be going in person today to make sure this is resolved. For those who plan to purchase here, make sure you know that they would not let you cancel if you were to cancel your order. I feel so bad for the employees because they all fight for business since that is how they make their commission. Ashley needs to do something about this because when these people fight like that, they are rude to the client for choosing someone else.
Worked with Victoria and Goggin (spelling?) for a few transactions and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else! Victoria’s customer service was outstanding!!! She was upfront, honest, and quickly learned the style of furniture we gravitated to! Highly recommend her! The sales manager Goggin was awesome and helped ensure things went smoothly as well as provided amazing customer service. Definitely would work with him again too!!
Ridiculous experience. I'd give Ashley Furniture Zero starts if I could. Sketchy and employs liars. This review is for an online experience. I completed an online purchase, spending quite a chunk of money, and there was no email sent to me confirming my purchase. I connected with a representative who gave me the runaround, said he'd email me a document showing my purchase. That document was a blank document with no order detail whatsoever. I asked to speak to a higher up team member so they might be able to assist me. He tells me there is no option to transfer the chat. I then requested a document with actual purchase information, and again, I was given the run around. He then said he would send another document to me. No email was received. He then changes the topic and talks to me about the arrival date of my items, which he already provided at the beginning of our conversation. I wasn't asking for an arrival date, I wanted confirmation of my purchase, of my thousands of dollars being taken. Then low and behold, he transfers me to the "OCC team." So much for not being able to transfer chats. Even after being transferred to the OCC team, that member was almost non responsive. Took 5-15 minutes to get back to each of my reply. In the end, nothing was provided to me showing confirmation of my purchase.
They mess up with my delivery 2 times already purchase on the 14 of the month to get delivery on the 17 they show up with the wrong configuration on the sectional and item were missing on my order went to the store and they said there were gonna fix it today is the 24 and delivery guy just show up with the ottoman so 10 days later still have no couches so jo I will not recommend to buy from this store in merced ca

Taylor the sales rep is just wonderful. We purchased a whole home set and she's been nothing but helpful in answering my questions. We had an accidental tear on the couch and she's been ok it on helping me file the claim. She has gone above and beyond to help us out. I really like her and she's made my shopping experience there so much better!

Went in to "browse living room furniture, and found out they were having a HUGE sale. We ended up buying a bed and got a headboard & footboard for $1! (One sale special going on) our sales associate Jessica was so fun to work with, knowledgeable and respectful.
If I can give this company 0 stars I would. This company has paired up with “Protect All GBS” a company who states in their policy that will clean up any accidental stains or damages, but it is a complete lie for you to buy into this “PROTECTION PLAN.” It is a lie, they will find any reason to deny your claim. If you plan on purchasing and adding the plan, make sure they explain thoroughly what they will cover, which in the long run will make up an excuse to not cover. Beware they’ll make it sound very intriguing, but purchase at your own discretion.

The worst experience I have ever had when buying furniture. Do NOT waste your time and money. I bought a bed frame from this store with the guarantee I would get it within the week. I took time off of work to wait for the delivery after confirming with the delivery service, only to be left waiting and no bed delivered. I then tried calling the store to try and find out why and was only able to get the after hours line telling me my bed would not be delivered for another week (even though the store was still open!) I went to the store and was told that my delivery date was changed for no reason but that it would be there in a week guaranteed. A week later I got a call after setting up more time off from work telling me the bed they had in storage was not actually in storage and we had to wait yet another week. When I complained About being guaranteed the delivery they said they don’t guaranty anything and those people “just tell you what you want to hear”. This all still would have been fine if i were not sleeping on the ground at this point. To top everything off when the bed finally came, it was chipped in several places, the delivery people did not put it together right, so the wooden slats that hold the mattress slide all over and there were pieces of the bed not put on that I had to put on myself.
I will be contacting BBB, the customer service salesperson would not grant the $100 gift card advertisements after claiming he lowered cost with delivery and price without notice of utilizing gift card funds. Horrible misleading and bad advertisements

After three months of waiting for my order, they cancelled my order and I don’t know why they did that… The managers are no help, I had to go out of my way to go in person just to solve this problem and I had to wait an hour just to be able to talk to the right person … Awful experience in general, they don’t care about their customers.

Save your time, don't buy if its on back order, waiting for 3 months and still haven't receive my orders. Called them numerous of time, Ashley tell me the same thing over and over, "still on back order" Now they say not until another month. So save your time and money, go elsewhere.
My dad order a mattress because he broke his ribs and his bed was to hard a month an a half later he still has not received it so disappointed with them. If you need anything from there hope your not in a hurry. Hate to be writing this review but its wrong how they did them.

Beyond disappointed with this store! When you go in and spend so much money you expect to get what you paid for. Absolutely disturbing to hear not just a manager at the store but also someone at corporate tell you that nothing can be done about a mistake that was made by an employee when your purchase was made. I was told i would get a call back from corporate and here I am still waiting on that call. Not only did I not get the mattress that we picked out but we now also have a defective mattress only 6 months after we purchased it! I will not be returning to this business in the future. Reading through these reviews it's crazy to see how many negative ones are being made about this store especially being that it has only been open less than a year. Some advice Ashley's Furniture....be considerate of your customers at all times not just when you are trying to make a sale! If your employee makes a mistake, own up to it and make it right! Just saying sorry when you have customers spending hundreds even thousands of dollars in your store is not ok!
I'm very disappointed on this store. I was there for their grand opening in October 2020, I ended up purchasing a bed frame, an orthopedic bed and mattress and spent close to 6k. Well since it's covid I didn't get my delivery until 2 months later, when I got my delivery I was instructed by the delivery people that they will set up the bed and everything for us, which included a protector cover for the mattress because if you stain the mattress the warranty is void" I was told. So we left the cover on and didn't get to see our mattress since we were asked to keep the cover on.. 5 months later(now) our new mattress is deformed... we took the cover off to take pics for the warranty and long behold it's not the mattress we asked for.. I contacted the store manager and their corporate office and all of them are washing their hands out of these saying it's been to long for us to do anything.. my advice for all the people in Merced.. Don't trust this store and their ethics. I didn't spent all that money to get stuck with something I didn't want and I'm saying that I got a cheaper mattress than what I ordered. I will never be making another purchase at this store again.

I’ll start off by saying how incredibly clean and organized the store was. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere. I don’t know much about design and I shop more for functionality so when I overheard a staff member say she was in charge of visual I knew I had to take advantage! I asked Desiree her opinion between a couple items and I’m so thankful she was there to help me out, she helped me make the perfect selection! I left happy about my purchase and will definitely be going back.
This store doesn't even deserve a star! We waited over 2 months for a bedroom set and it comes damaged. Don't bother attempting to call the store because they don't answer. Spoke to someone from their call center and they said they can get a technician out to repair. Why would I want damage furniture!?! This whole process with Ashley has been a nightmare!!
I have had the worst experience with Ashley Furniture. Cancelled my order due to them cancelling my delivery 3 times. I ask for refund 7 days ago I called 7 days later to find my refund manager said my refund was just process today 7 days later and now will take 7 days to recieved aging. Do not stop at Ashley Furniture.

The worst furniture store ever. Got a bedroom set and it was horrible. Furniture made cheap it was peeling. They didn't put some bolts on right and one side of the bed panel was broken. By the time I finished looking it over and taking pictures the delivery drivers had already left. After about over a month of trying to take care of it, they finally agreed to send out a new bed. Well we got it and this one is just as bad as the first. I told my wife let's just consider this a loss. Thousands down the drain for cheap made furniture. This was our first bedroom set after being together for 14 years. My family did tell us not to go there, but we didn't listen. HUGE mistake.
Went in to buy a sofa and wasn’t disappointed. The sales associate who helped me named Hannah was very helpful and professional. Made the buying experience extremely easy and quick.
Ashley home store is a really nice, well put together store but as in most cases it's the employees that will make or break a business. Hannah Kay brings this place together entirely. She greeted me on the way in and helped me with everything I needed and then some by suggesting I leave with everything I wanted and at a great price!

If you are going to this store be prepared to be followed by the employees. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by one of the girls and she asked if there was anything specific. I said no I’m just going to go look around. I went to the beds. She immediately came in that section and gave me a cover to try on for the bed. After that I notice she didn’t leave. I felt like I was being watched and couldn’t browse comfortably. Come on lady what was I going to steal a mattress? Definitely will not be shopping here.

Great options, great customer service 👍. The only thing I have a problem with is the delivery service and replacement services. I waited 3 to 4 months for a replacement part. Replacement repairs will be done by yours truly, "yourself." I thought they did the work on it since I paid for the 5 year warranty and paid almost 10 grand in cash. Delivery guys are in a hurry so they mistreat your stuff. When they opened the boxes with there box cutter, they sliced all the way through the box to the furniture. I work in construction and it doesn't take a smarta** to know that the box cutter sliced through the box and on the furniture. Thats why you adjust the blade enough to cut the box and not go all the way through. I'm guessing that they didn't have the proper training for delivery. But make sure to check your stuff at the moment of the delivery!!!!
Prices are way too steep. Staff is great. Got the same products from another store for more than half price less than Ashley. Went to look at bedroom sets. They prices me at $5200 for the entire set which was a five piece. Found the same exact one for $1799 with all pieces included. Sorry Ashley, found it elsewhere.
I tried to order a couch last December was told it would be here in late January early February I thought this was fine. I came in mid January to get a more concrete timeline turns out to be March 13th, okay thats annoying but I really wanted that couch. I call on the 12th because I hadn't heard anything as far as delivery time. It was delayed another two weeks! No one had told me I even cleared my schedule to accommodate them and they couldn't even say they weren't coming! I tried to get a refund and was told "someone will call you in 3-5 business days" don't shop here they are a horribly ran business.
very dishonest. we bought here cause they promised to have our couch within 2 months and every other store was 6 months wait. well here we are 4 months from purchase and they are telling us it will be here in another month.
A sales lady made this the worst experience I've had at a furniture place. Wouldn't take no for an answer and was frustrated at us that we didn't know what we were looking for. Will never be back.
Worst experience I've ever had trying to receive my couch I purchased 3 months ago that has been delayed 3 times and then the delivery driver goes to the wrong house and I never receive my couch. I was on the phone with customer care for hours only to have them tell me there is nothing they can do and can't even get through to the store when I call to get refunded. Never purchasing from here again.
Long story short, bought some chairs, said they would get shipped on a certain date, while in store keep in mind, right after the purchase, the date changed, "warehouse glitch", almost 3weeks ago. Today got an email saying they are delayed again, not a problem, went to get my refund because I paid cash, is what the customer service representative said to do. Walked in they said i can't get a cash refund i have to wait for it in the mail. While still taking cash payments.

Erica the sales girl was amazing. The rest of the experience with Ashley homestore was awful. Their service after sale is by far the worst I have ever gotten. Spent a day calling for an appointment to pick up my bed frames. Never got ahold of anyone. Finally when I gave up I went in to ask for a refund and was told by customer service that they are unable to process returns in store and I have to wait 3-5 business days for a call from corporate office to process my return. Now I'm stuck waiting on a company that won't even answer a call to call me to give my money back. Stay away from Ashley homestore!! Worst customer support ever!!!

Well this store is displayed beautifully and I want everything. The staff is so tentative. This one huge thing I dislike is that if you order your merchandise from them they keep pushing your delivery date out. They've called me 3 times now. So if your deciding to purchase something you won't be disappointed in the item but the service. Still waiting......

Nice furniture but you can’t browse freely. Every worker in there will follow you around the whole store. I felt so uncomfortable while I was in there. I don’t think people are stuffing lamps in there pocket, chill out a bit.
