The sale person, Katherine Pastore, was very diligent, knowledgeable, and helpful. She was a major part of the reason why we made our purchase at Ashley, the first out of 7 stores we had planned to visit that afternoon. Of course, the quality of the products was very impressive.

After walking around the store for a while and looking at various furniture products, we were assisted by a sales person who told us nothing we were looking for was in stock. When I asked if we could get it from another store or have it ordered in, he became very unhelpful. As we were walking out of the store we were approached by Terri, she was very helpful and told us that the store price matches anything we find online and that if we chose things that were not in stock, they would have them shipped to us when they were available. She was very helpful and we ended up buying multiple pieces of furniture before departing the store. I guess it just depends on getting the right sales person.

The sales team was pushy and disrespectful. The pricing online versus in store is really confusing. They told me there was no return policy which isn’t helpful at all. No returns even on small items like a rug or wall art.

Stay away from this place. Worst sales people they have. They try to fool you with offers. All their offers are attractive but just to make you buy. Some time back I bought 6000$ worth of items. They offered me with 5 giftcards worth 100$ each as special offer at that time. The sales person told me on that day that, I can buy anything with the card but one card per purchase. The card also says so with no expiry date. Recently we visited the store to buy some item using the gift card. The sales person was so rude and We overheard the sales person making fun of us with other people working there. He says we cannot buy anything other than accessories like photo frame using the gift card. Their photo frames are priced more than 150$ which you can buy in Micheals for 25$. So, those $500 worth of gift cards are useless. They just give you to attract. You can not use these gift cards. I will never buy anything from this place again and wont recommend to anyone. Stay away from their offers if you don't want to get fooled.

I have nothing to review as my product (ordered in May), expected to get delivered - first, in July, then in August, and finally September 14 (which was a scheduled delivery). Today is October 1st and I still do not have a bed to sleep in. The worst part is I was not upset about the delay in delivery initially, as it’s obvious that there are manufacturing & shipping issues with most products. However, once my delivery was finally scheduled, and the delivery driver blatantly stated that they were “unwilling to deliver” after they had gone to the wrong building, called the wrong number (which was a mistype on Ashley’s part) AND refused to return back to MY stop (#12) DURING my delivery window, in which I still had 2 hours left. The best part is that NO ONE from Ashley has reached out to me via email, or obviously my phone number, which I had corrected with the sweet dispatcher - as they initially had put down the incorrect one for my contact. Truly a disappointing and subpar experience. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Steer clear of this store unless you like wasting your time on damaged deliveries and rude customer service. I bought $8000 worth of furniture from it. The sectional arrived in 4 deliveries with the armless chair damaged TWICE. Never heard of quality control. The TV set arrived damaged and waited 3 weeks for a technician to fix it in my house. They give bogus shipping date estimates in the store. Estimates are off by 3-4 weeks. There is no way to return furniture once it's in your house (even parts of it). You have no choice but to wait for all shipments no matter how long. Customer service crew in the store are completely useless. They don't solve your problems and just refer you to the support line. Unfortunately there is no rating less than 1 star.

Avoid the Milpitas store by all means. Horrible customer service. Irresponsible employees. No sense of responsibility at all. I will file a formal corporate complaint and will file a report with the better business bureau for the Milpitas store. I recently made a large furniture purchase at Ashley at a different store and decided to stop by the Ashley Milpitas store to finish furnishing my living room. I was not greeted upon arrival. I spent 45 minutes walking around the store without any assistance or help from anyone. Finally, one sales rep by the name of James Scroggins approaches me and demands I leave the store before the store even closes. I indicated that I had a couple of items on hand I wanted to purchase and two or three other furniture Items. He ignored my request, walked away saying I needed to leave. I spent thousands of dollars less than a week ago and this is the type of service I get from James Scroggins at the Milpitas store?!! I walked to the register and demand to speak to the manager. James in the meantime is playing on his phone sitting on a couch next to the registers. At this point I explain the situation to the manager, he apologizes on James's behalf indicating he will talk to him but didn't want to confront him in front of other customers. He should confront him!! He was rude, unapologetic about it, playing on his phone instead of DOING HIS JOB and helping customers. I request James's full name, all the rest of the employees including the manager just looked at each other and did not want to provide his full name condoning his behavior. After finally processing my purchase on hand and not aiding in my larger additional purchases I finally walk out of the store. A few minutes later, I see the store manager walk out to meet James in the parking lot to have a smoke out about the whole situation. Avoid this place at all costs. Discriminatory behavior, non-existent customer service, and management that smokes out any misdoings with their employees.

Ashley did not resolve the issue, they said they “investigated” and no one had the problem I had because apparently no other customers called to report anything. I almost didn’t even report the issue BUT I was so infuriated and disappointed that a company like Ashley would deliver a mattress with bedbugs and not take responsibility. Now I’m stuck with a high bill because I had to spray the house to kill the bed bugs. We had never had bedbugs, staff said they come from the environment and I said I understand but we never had these bugs and they came with the mattress when I got it delivered. Basically they said I’m lying! Wow!!!! Ashley you should do a better job in resolving issues like these. You caused me stressed and a financial bill and it’s not cheap!!! Now I’m waiting for them to take their mattress back and refund me. Which I had been waiting for them to pick it up but no one followed up with me or respond to my emails. We had to call a few times for them to finally respond to our complaint and all for them to say they’re basically not doing anything. I’m NOT EVER buying at Ashley’s and definitely not recommending to anyone I know. Poor service and no ability to resolve an issue like this. And I still have to apparently wait to see if they take their mattress and if I get refunded. If they don’t I’m ready to do a lawsuit. 0 stars!
