Had a wonderful experience at Ashley’s furniture yesterday. The sales rep Donovan did a wonderful job making me feel as a valuable guest. Thank you and I appreciate you.

Joe Mota is awesome at Ashley furniture he helped us out a lot in our couch buying adventure. He even helped see an issue we had out to make it right. He couldn’t have done a better job with his customer service .

The clearance sale was excellent. It was very worth it. But no one helped me to carry my purchases to my car. No one assisted me though it’s very heavy. They just watched me. I asked if how much would it cost for delivery because it’s too heavy to carry by myself, but they told me it’s $150 for these table and wall arts to be delivered to myapartment. Only if they help me, I could probably give a huge tip. Still, I am happy with my purchase. This is not my first time to buh in ashley.

It felt like a used car lot. Our helper was informative and friendly, but they didnt have any display models of the lift chair we were looking for and only offered a 1 uear warranty. Maybe for other furniture it may have been a better experience.

Julianna the manager is unprofessional and cannot own up to her own mistakes she made on an order. While her employees deal with her mistakes, she sits on her phone on the couch. She canceled more than she should on my order and tried to say I cancelled two orders, when I asked for copies of any type of receipts or the worksheet where I wrote what to cancel, they don’t have them. I had proof with photos of what I ordered, when shown, silence. End of the day, you own up to YOUR mistake Julianna since you’re a manager and if you see a customer upset, you should be there with the customer and not your employees dealing with your mess. Will not happen order again from Modesto Ashely due to her service. Get off the couch and off your phone and do your job.

Jennifer L is the best! I’ve purchased tables, couches, beds, and bedroom sets with her at the Sisk location in Modesto. Whether it’s furniture for myself or my family and friends she’s always been super helpful and we all always enjoy our furniture from Ashley’s!

I loved being able to track the associates so I could be ready without having to wait around. Santos and his associate were polite, quick and very careful with the delivery and installation of the furniture. I am extremely happy with their service.

Ordered over 4k in furniture in November. They gave me 4 different delivery dates and didn't make any of them. It's now three months later and they still can't give me an actual delivery date. I've called the customer service line and I just get some guy in India telling me someone will call me to schedule delivery and nobody ever does. Buy your furniture somewhere else if you ever want to actually see it. 0 stars, one star would indicate that I've received some sort of service from them and I have not.

From the time we walked in we were greeted with a smile and Joe listened to what we needed , Joe helped us find the perfect Recliner for my husband . We will definitely be returning to Ashley for any of our furniture needs .

It was awesome real friendly staff didn't take a real long time to figure out what I wanted as they have a lot of choices found the couch that I liked and bed frame too. If your looking for something for your home this is the place to go

Julissa was a tremendous help in the showroom, very responsive to our needs. The furniture (sofa recliner w/ power and chair with power lift) arrived right on time. Installers were professional and friendly. Furniture is very comfortable and looks great!

Worst customer service I’ve dealt with. I’ve been waiting for over 2 months to get my refund back on a rug I purchased that they said is in stock, only to be discontinued. Spoke multiple times to customer service saying wait 2-3 days to process a return, which they never have. I went into the store to I originally purchased and manager can’t do anything about it. I spent nearly $3k on furniture and this company cares less. Never again….

I came in to Ashley with some pictures of what I liked across various sites and a rough idea of what I wanted. Jennifer was so helpful and was easily able to bring my bedroom vision to life! HORRIBLE customer service. Insane. We will NEVER be back. My husband and I tried to purchase a piece of furniture we wanted on two different occasions and their sales associate Paula was extremely rude. Was TEXT messaging me completely rude messages and when I told her she was extremely unprofessional and rude she ended contact. We did not purchase the piece we wanted after that exchange. Fast forward to Black Friday we wanted that same piece of furniture and was not going to let a sales associate deter us from the store. I called to get product information and PAULA answered the phone. I asked nicely to speak to someone else due to having a negative experience with her in the past and she HUNG up on me. I, as a customer have the right to work with someone I am comfortable with and ask to talk to someone else. To be hung up on from a place of business is insane. These people are sales associates which we were under the impression wanted sales. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and Jeff began to tell me she did not hang up on me and if I didn’t want to come into the store to just purchase whatever online. These people who work here do not care about their customers and honestly don’t even care to make a sale. Completely shocked. Go to lathrop Ashley’s or living spaces.

Our sales person, Jennifer and her store manager were both quite professional with our recent purchases of a bed and sofa set. Delivery guys were also very timely, clean and communicated well. Top Notch operation. The AI texts, we could skip, but were somewhat helpful with updates and such. Would buy again from them. Great experience!

I called to see if they had a dinning table I had previously purchased at a different location a female answered seemed I lost I asked for manager unfortunately Jeff answered who claimed he was a manager ( No customer service skill ) he never asked for the item number just yelled no we don’t have it . When I questioned how he knew without an item number ?? he stated I was being combative and not to come to his store 😂 really cause I was spending close to $10,000.00 on a few items I wanted . I will be definitely taking my business elsewhere .

Do Not Purchase any item from this Store especially with warranty Unless you plan on utilizing the warranty within one year. The company who warrants your claims will give you the run-around for majority issues, so will the customer support team of this store and worst of all, the amount you pay Ashley Store for the warranty won't be the price you pay to their Warranty Support 3rd Party Company. I.E. $319.99 5 yr Sofa and Love Seat Warranty = $179.99 to Warranty 3rd Party And No Resolutions for Accidental Stains and lifting of cushion fabric + Pay technician for services/ Inspections to then have most claims denied

I recently visited the Ashley Furniture store in Modesto with my kids to purchase a bed for my daughter. When we arrived, the initial greeting at the door was confusing, as the gentleman with an iPad stared at us but didn’t acknowledge us. But once we connected with a sales representative named Paula Murphy, everything turned around. Paula was incredibly helpful and patient, guiding us through not just the bed purchase, but also going over various mattress and box spring options to make sure we had everything we needed. In the end, Paula made the entire experience really positive, and we left feeling well taken care of. While the initial greeting could have been warmer, Paula’s fantastic service really made up for it. We’re very happy with our new bed!

We purchased a new sofa in store and the process was extremely fast and painless. They had a large selection in store including several items I’d seen online. We had the help of Yerman who answered our questions and helped us finalize everything. Estimated delivery is about 2 weeks. All in all great experience.

As of yet no one has responded to my email. You cannot leave an email one your website. Someone did respond and asked for my phone number and email address that was a week ago. Your furniture is the worst. It is coming apart recliners has lost there shape. We have had our recliner fix twice we have had our furniture for 3yrs and it looks like we have had for years. We have another couch that is 25 yrs ago and still looks great. I wish someone would respond to me. My name is Cheryl Rogers we made our purchased at the Sisk Rd store.

10/22/25, I still have a chaise that is not level. I’ve been told to call multiple numbers and e-mails and they will not allow a return. I received a defective product and it’s been over 3 months and I continue to get the run around. And just a reminder, do not pay the first price they offer you. They will haggle and make you feel like you are getting a deal when in fact their products are over priced. Their products are not built to last. I still recommend Costco for furniture as the quality is better and they allow returns, no questions asked. Purchased couch 7/16/25. I had a couch delivered yesterday, 7/19/25. The chaise is not level. I felt like I was sitting on an incline. Got the level out and sure enough it is not level. I’m on hold for the 3rd time trying to schedule a tech to come out and confirm the couch is defective before they will consider returning for a refund. I should have purchased from Costco as I intended just for their return policy. Save yourself time and money and just get a basic Costco membership you don’t already have one. Their return policy is the best! I do not recommend Ashley Furniture. At least you know you are getting a good product at a fair price with Costco. Ashley Furniture are like a used car salesman; they will tell you one ridiculous price and then offer it for half. If you do buy there don’t go with the first price they tell you and good luck if you get defective product.

I waited for the delivery of our set before giving the review. The entire experience was good. The rep was great I wish I remembered her name but she was helpful and got us a great price. The delivery was today and they were prompt and so courteous. We're very pleased with our purchase and the service!

Commercial advertisement stated free white glove delivery. But actually delivery was $399.00 unless you spent $5600.00 or more in furniture purchase. . There was also no care instructions given on leather furniture. One unit came defective. Have to wait up to 3 days for approval to then get replacement ordered and re delivered.

Donevan and Jeff were awesome, went above and beyond for my wife and I. They made the process and transaction and smooth as possible, they were made sure to work with us every way possible.

Very disappointed I spent good amount of money over 8 thousand dollars, They where trying to add hidden insurance without asking me, My order was incomplete, I took a day off from work to receive my delivery order, was missing some furniture, I call them while the delivery guys where still at my house, to find out about my missing items, The person who answered the phone told me that the manager was very busy to answer me, that he will call me back, I called them back to ask again 3 hours after, since nobody call me, Manager started telling me that it was something wrong with the system I will have to wait 13 days to get the rest of my furniture, This was very inconvenient for my since I have to travel out of the country and was trying to have everything ready before my trip, now I have to pay someone to be at my place and receive the rest of my incomplete and very late delivery. I love my furniture, good quality. this people need a lot more training to do sales get organized and communicate to each other.

Very friendly and patient. They gave our family time to look around and talk. It was a very comfortable environment and both manager and sales representative were both full of information and communication when we needed them. We bought a couch set from Ashley last year and the furniture is so modern and extremely amazing quality. Lots of opportunities for sales too! We found a cheaper price online on their website and they not only matched it but made it cheaper.

⸻ I am absolutely outraged with Ashley Furniture. I placed my order over a month ago, and after four separate deliveries, I still haven’t received the correct parts. How does a company mess up the same order four times? The constant delays, careless mistakes, and total lack of accountability are unacceptable. Their customer service has been nothing but frustrating—unhelpful, unresponsive, and clearly not concerned about fixing the issue. I’ve wasted so much time and energy on this, and I’m beyond fed up. I will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture again, and I strongly urge others to stay far away. This has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had.

Yesterday I purchased a whole living room set with Julisa’s help. I reached out originally by calling the store and she texted with me all day yesterday to help us find the perfect couch in the size, style, and color we wanted. Seriously the kindest person I’ve ever had help me at a furniture store. I needed up even adding a few items to my order once I got to the store because she was just so helpful! If I could I would put zero they lied about the couches from the get go that they do not scratch, it has been hell trying to return. We picked up in boxes, warehouse said we could return if their was issues. We unboxed and couches were damaged. Store Manager just gives us the run around and there is no one to get a hold of above him. I will never recommend Ashley Furniture or will ever purchase again I have a case number since feb 16th with no resolution

Warm welcoming upon arrival. I explained I was looking for a dresser and night, but wanted to browse. The sale person explained where to find pricing of items and allowed and allowed me wander about. Once I found items I was interested in, I went to seek the sales person out. The moment I came into his view, he immediately started walking toward me. I questioned him about two different items. He was able to answer all my questions and took the time to calculate the items with delivery and assembly. I found my shopping experience at Ashley Furniture delightfully satisfying! No pressure, no hassle, no hovering! I am very happy with my selection knowing the items are high quality.

Customers be ware Ashley is not a credited by the Better Business Bureau!!! I strongly don't recommend anybody to buy anything from Ashley they use a warranty company that when your furniture is purchased they don't honor the extended or any other warranty for the item purchased by the customer the warranty company takes your money and don't fix anything it happened to me is a scam

Had furniture delivered. Coffee table cheaply made. Didn't look anything like it looked in the store. Called the next day to upgrade and they said no. No exchanges? I paid a lot of money for this table and I'm not only stuck with a cheap piece of furniture but a cheap piece of furniture in the wrong color. BTW I thought we ordered it in black not ugly dull brown. I have shopped ashley for years and this experience will be my last. I am so disappointed and feel ripped off.

I'm giving this a 1 star based on the extended warranty they offer and the lie I was told. When we purchased the representative asked if we wanted to purchase the warranty in case of any accidental damages. Initially I responded with no thank you and so the representative asked once again if I wanted the warranty because they don't cover any accidental damage to the furniture we were about to purchase. I asked the representative does it cover everything including broken wood or tears that may happen to the furniture the representative without hesitation stated yes it covers broken wood ripped or torn furniture all that good stuff. I agree to make that purchase when time came I had some accidental damage happened to the sofa and loveseat. The sofa ripped at the top when I made the claim they said they don't cover stitching that came apart and when I tried to make a claim for the loveseat the arm is broken a technician came out looked at everything said he would replace the arm then I get an email the next day stating they won't fix it because it's just wobbly and nails are screws have come undone so they won't cover that part either. Moral of the story don't buy the warranty no matter what the sales rep tells you because they're probably lying to you or they don't know their product well enough. The name of the company is protectAll by GBS And they don't cover anything at all you just waste your money. I might as well go out and buy used furniture and save that costly retail price since none of it comes with a warranty anyways.

Donovan helped me and my crazy 2 year old son.(2/26/25). I told him what I was looking for and he guided me around the store to show me different couches that matched my wants. He didn’t push me into anything, he was patient and extremely kind. Donovan was also extremely knowledgeable of the two couches I was looking at. I ended up going with a couch that I didn’t know I would end up loving, but I do! I can’t wait! Thank you again!

While visiting the Modesto location I was approached by one of the sales man that decided to walk away and not help me. I had to seek another individual that was available and ready to make a sale

I highly recommend guillermo, came looking for bedroom furniture not sure what we wanted, he was so nice and patient with my undecisive wife. He found ways to save us some money. We walked out with more than we planned and on purchasing at a good price.

Ashely is nothing but a car dealership for furniture. All they care about is sales. I order a table and over a month ago. First, they couldn’t deliver both on the same truck, so I had to go pick the table up myself. Second, I was told I would get money back and never have. Third, out of the six chairs I paid for one chair was missing parts. I opened a “case” so they can see what’s missing, they reviewed it and they ordered a new leg. Well it’s been a month and that leg still isn’t here. I paid good money for this table with 6 chairs and only have had 5 for a month. The worst experience I have had. Do not recommend!

Customer service was great .

Bought 2 bed frames and 2 dressers plus the warranty. It seems as if I’ve bought used/refurbished furniture as it comes damaged and the delivery drivers are careless and hit the walls. I have pictures of all the damages. The Ashley’s manager did not return my call as he said he would. Yes, they might replace it with the warranty you buy but it doesn’t look like brand new furniture.

Raul did a great job helping us at the store! He showed us around, explained prices, and offered amazing service. My family was amazed by the beautiful furniture & the care given to us. We will definitely recommend this place to family members. Thank you for making our journey to furnish our home one of a kind. Thanks Raul!

Worst customer service ever from a store manager I ever experienced in my life.The floor employees were really nice and understanding but manager wasn’t at all. He was not understanding or apologetic and basically helped a customer before me while I am patiently waiting right in front of me. It seemed he didn’t want to talk to me at all even when I was explaining to him my situation I have with the furniture I had purchased. Lastly I asked for his information/card said he didn’t have any cards and continued being rude in front of customers and employees. I will not be returning to this store from this bad experience because of the manager Vijay.

Josh greeted us and assisted us in narrowing down exactly what we were looking for. We found something on their digital display that matched the aesthetic of our living room, but it wasnt physically onsite for us to try. Josh had expertly lead us to a sofa of similar specs to try out. We took an hour to consider offsite before moving forward with that sofa. Called back, asked for Josh, and 15 minutes later had the checkout link in my email and all questions answered. I highly recommend this store.

First of all, I’d like to think Raul Cortez in the staff at Ashley furniture in Modesto, California, Rose was excellent and thorough and finding my fit for my recliner, trying out all the different types going over all the features the service was stellar, professional, kind, and thorough. I would recommend anybody to make a purchase at the Ashley furniture in MODESTO or any other store for the quality of furniture that they have to offer. Unless a little prejudice, although the MODESTO was very warm and comforting to find my needs that fit me. I want to say thank you again to Raul Cortez for his excellent professionalism and the only other word that I want to say is handled me with a lot of courtesy and care.

We just bought a home and needed a lot of items, not only did they give great customer service, they were respectful of our budget and needs and worked magic to get the items we needed. This Ashley’s furniture location is underwhelming and lacks a diverse selection of various styles. The majority of the couches/sectionals are recliners and most of the couches they call sectionals are all similar in density/feeling. Hard and barely comfortable. Definitely is catered to a specific type of style. If you’re looking for modern, sleek, comfortable and diverse styles, I would definitely avoid this place.

Ordered dining room table/chairs on 4/25/24 with a delivery date of 6/7/24. 6/7 came and passed with no phone call from the store. Called the store and were told order was going to be delivered on 6/27 for the table and no delivery date for the chairs. Requested they cancel the order and the employees tried to talk us out of it and gave us to the manager. Requested a cancellation again and were told it would take 5-10 business days to credit our card. Still no credit on our credit card at day 11. Had to dispute the transaction with our credit card company. Zero customer service at the Modesto store. Won’t buy anything from Ashley’s again. Sent the email

My daughter was excited to buy her first piece of furniture for her new home as a mom i told her earlier this week to call to make sure the delivery is on schedule but my daughter trusted the fact that store associate indicated a date of delivery on the receipt. She took the day off with excitement and guess what no delivery. This store is ridiculous, you buy furniture with a delivery date on the receipt so you take a day off work to be available for the delivery and then the day of delivery you call to make sure of the time and they tell you there is NO scheduled delivery for your furniture even though it's on the receipt. No apologies then they reschedule for an additional week. Delivery is scheduled for 05/23 so we will how that goes. Customer services is not what is use to be. Beware of this store :(

From the moment we stepped into the Modesto Ashley Home Store, we were greeted with extreme friendliness. As we started to look around, we were approached by a trusted advisor named Josh Cooley. He had a lot of experience and we felt well taken care of Throughout the whole process of choosing our new sectional. Josh made sure, both times I came back to measure, that everything was absolutely accurate. He even set up the quickest shipping to us, and explained everything in detail, every step of the way. Our sectional was delivered on time and carefully set up by our Delivery guys. They too, were very efficient and friendly! There was a mechanical issue with one of our recliners, but their trusted service advisor came out the very next day. He quickly resolved the issue and ordered a new recliner to be shipped out ASAP I cannot say enough about Ashley Home Store in Modesto. We will definitely be shopping there again as we replace furniture that is worn out and needs updating, with new, well-made furniture from Ashley. Ashley Home Store in Modesto is definitely a 10 in our book.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience in the Ashley showroom in Modesto. We had been looking at a recliner set online and called to see if they had it in stock. They did not but Jerri, the woman we talked to on the phone encouraged us to come in anyway to check the color in person and to look at similar styles. Because of the encouragement we came in and ended up finding a sofa that was actually a better fit for our home and a chair we are much happier with. Ashley Furniture Modesto promises, but does NOT deliver. On December 20th, we purchased over $4,000 worth of furniture from the Modesto store and were promised delivery in a week. It is now January 27th, and we’ve only received one item out of three—COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! We’ve cancelled the remaining two items! In addition, not one person from that store has reached out to us about this—HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We will never purchase from them again!

I can't remember who helped us but he was very friendly and accommodating. Knew his stuff and managed to find everything I needed on a quick turnaround.

Gabriel was very helpful but not pushy. I went in to just to look but listened to what my needs were and pointed me to my favorite piece on the floor. I ended up buying that day.

Gabriel was an excellent salesperson. He greeted us right away when we walked in the store and asked our name which made the experience more personal. He listened to what we were looking for and showed us many options. He also let us take our time in deciding without any pressure. Salesman was very pleasant. However, I feel he was not knowledgeable in the item I was looking for and did not know what it was until I found it and showed him. I wanted a queen size bed and he ordered a full size and it was caught before finalizing my purchase. However I’m very concerned that when it is delivered it will be full size.

Actually, I had to change my review from 5 to 1. After ordering a couch and loveseat, August 19th, I was given an estimated delivery of September 12th. I received a delivery confirmation on September 8th that the delivery would be there September 12th. On September 11th, I received a text confirming the delivery between 3-7PM, so I took off work to make sure I was there. The time came and went. I NEVER received a phone call, email, or text that it was not coming. I had to call them and find out that the couch set was on back order and that it would not be here until October 17th. Same exact thing happened and after taking another day off of work to be there the 17th, they only had one piece of furniture and said the other was again on back order until October 18th. Today, I called and they said it was back ordered again until next week. A family friend said they waited 8 months for their furniture to be taken off back order. I will never buy anything from them. Especially since I had to continuously call just to find out why my furniture is not being delivered. They never communicated with me ahead of time and just expected me to keep taking days off work for them to NEVER deliver the product.

We had a great experience working with Crystal. She was very caring and helpful when it came to meeting our mattress needs. We also appreciated her willingness to work with us as she was very informative. The store manager was also kind and professional. All together, both Crystal and the store manager made the search and buying process swift and easy for us.

Rosie was helpful and informative and found a media center from the website (not displayed) that fit what I wanted perfectly just by listening to what I had in mind. Not all staff respectful, and Ashley nearly lost my business because of that salesman (we declined help since we’d been helped by another salesperson on an different day, and just getting final thoughts and double checking measurements). He continued pressuring, claimed to be the other person’s buddy that assisted with her sales, all the way to high pressure sales closing techniques.He made for an extremely unpleasant visit. Thank goodness for Rosie (and Serita)!

Do not shop here. Waste of money. They are nice at first, but once they have your money then no professionalism at all. I will never ever will go again.

I ordered a couch. They selected the delivery date. I received a text and email to confirm the delivery date, I confirmed. The day before the delivery, I got my old couches removed. That same day I got a confirmation text for my Ashley delivery the next day between 8-12. I called in about 1:30 and they said I was scheduled for delivery today but it didn't go out and there are no notes. They opened a case and said I should hear back in the next 48 hours. Now I have no couch for who knows how long. If I am a no call no show after confirming an appointment for my job, that is grounds for termination. I don't understand why the company is run this way. I appreciate you reaching out but its too late. I called 6 days in a row and no one could give me a reason why the delivery never showed up and why no one called me. No one would tell me when my delivery would be. I canceled. What a terrible way to run a business.

We had the same issue with the warranty people as a previous customer. We bought the warranty for a sofa, less than a year in we started having issues. The warranty company came and said they needed to order a part. We called a month later, they said the part was on backorder due to shortage caused by Covid. Called again a few weeks later the person on the phone said they discontinued the couch and she would email her supervisor and they would follow up. We're a week in still no call. Worst customer service ever, I'm over all the lies that we were told when we purchased a $4,000 sofa.

Very nice showroom and friendly staff. We selected a dinner table and 4 bar stools. Delivery was easy to set up and arrived 2 days later. Our furniture was set up for us in house. Seamless operation and I had a great experience.

I usually never write reviews, but this warrants one. I purchased a mattress from here that I was told had a ten year warranty. My mattress is now damaged and I called to start the process of getting it replaced, but I have had to jump over numerous hurdles for no apparent reason. In the end, after many attempts to just get help from customer service, my case was closed without it being resolved. At this point it is apparent that they are making any excuse to not honor the warranty I should have the right to use. Do not buy from here unless you'd like to spend thousands of dollars and leave with nothing but a headache.

We were helped by serita and she was sooo nice and helpful! She was able to show us a variety of couches that fit our needs and was very easy to work with. This was my first time shopping with Ashley furniture and I would recommend it again!! And also very happy with my couch. So comfy!!
