Ordered dining room table/chairs on 4/25/24 with a delivery date of 6/7/24. 6/7 came and passed with no phone call from the store. Called the store and were told order was going to be delivered on 6/27 for the table and no delivery date for the chairs. Requested they cancel the order and the employees tried to talk us out of it and gave us to the manager. Requested a cancellation again and were told it would take 5-10 business days to credit our card. Still no credit on our credit card at day 11. Had to dispute the transaction with our credit card company. Zero customer service at the Modesto store. Won’t buy anything from Ashley’s again. Sent the email

Great experience!!!!! We were assisted as soon as we walked in the store by Josh. He was very helpful and kind. You can tell the employees and management have a great dynamic by they way handled multiple customer in the store. The manager, Dj (i believe his name) guided us through financial stuff, making sure we understood exactly what we were paying for and why. 10/10!!!
We are SO HAPPY we came to Ashley! Josh was extremely helpful and we got more than what we imagined. We made the mistake of going to Living Spaces first, but thankfully we left there and went straight to Ashley. My daughter was excited to buy her first piece of furniture for her new home as a mom i told her earlier this week to call to make sure the delivery is on schedule but my daughter trusted the fact that store associate indicated a date of delivery on the receipt. She took the day off with excitement and guess what no delivery. This store is ridiculous, you buy furniture with a delivery date on the receipt so you take a day off work to be available for the delivery and then the day of delivery you call to make sure of the time and they tell you there is NO scheduled delivery for your furniture even though it's on the receipt. No apologies then they reschedule for an additional week. Delivery is scheduled for 05/23 so we will how that goes. Customer services is not what is use to be. Beware of this store :(

Josh helped us today with purchasing this set. We initially came in just to look, but ended up walking out happy with our purchase. He helped us from the moment we walked in up until we walked out, explaining the features and materials with a lot of knowledge of the set. It was exactly what we were looking for because we have kids and dogs, and he could relate being a father himself. His customer service was awesome and he helped us understand all our financing options as well as warranty and what that included. me and my wife went to shop at their appliances in Modesto Store after spending great deal of time made appointment and wait for them following week and only they’re not show up. after I called They were rude and insulting. I would not recommend to go shopping there. Service and treatment. I receive was extremely poor.

From the moment we stepped into the Modesto Ashley Home Store, we were greeted with extreme friendliness. As we started to look around, we were approached by a trusted advisor named Josh Cooley. He had a lot of experience and we felt well taken care of Throughout the whole process of choosing our new sectional. Josh made sure, both times I came back to measure, that everything was absolutely accurate. He even set up the quickest shipping to us, and explained everything in detail, every step of the way. Our sectional was delivered on time and carefully set up by our Delivery guys. They too, were very efficient and friendly! There was a mechanical issue with one of our recliners, but their trusted service advisor came out the very next day. He quickly resolved the issue and ordered a new recliner to be shipped out ASAP I cannot say enough about Ashley Home Store in Modesto. We will definitely be shopping there again as we replace furniture that is worn out and needs updating, with new, well-made furniture from Ashley. Ashley Home Store in Modesto is definitely a 10 in our book.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience in the Ashley showroom in Modesto. We had been looking at a recliner set online and called to see if they had it in stock. They did not but Jerri, the woman we talked to on the phone encouraged us to come in anyway to check the color in person and to look at similar styles. Because of the encouragement we came in and ended up finding a sofa that was actually a better fit for our home and a chair we are much happier with. The salesman who helped us, Yerman, was very helpful without being pushy from beginning to end. We got exactly what we wanted and they even honored the discount code we had been going to use online! A seamless transaction.

They gave us a discount on a beautiful couch that we wanted because we wanted to price match but even though they couldn't fully price match it, they still met us halfway and honored a discount just for us. Raul was very good about not pressuring us into buying, we did our research and picked tempur pedic pro adapt soft lux breeze with a pro base was in and out with our delivery date in 30 min.

Ashley Furniture Modesto promises, but does NOT deliver. On December 20th, we purchased over $4,000 worth of furniture from the Modesto store and were promised delivery in a week. It is now January 27th, and we’ve only received one item out of three—COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! We’ve cancelled the remaining two items! In addition, not one person from that store has reached out to us about this—HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We will never purchase from them again!

My wife and I were in the market for a living room set. Visited many furniture stores. Customer service is a priority to the both of us. Ashly HomeStore in Modesto topped the list. They offered top excellent customer service from Sales Reps to Manager. Our sales man was Josh which made us feel welcomed and not pressured. He took his time and gave us an excellent deal. A week after we decided to changed an Item and called the Store. I initially talked to Laura which she was curious and prompt. She then transferred me to Geri the manager. I was able to switched an item which was higher in price. Without any hesitation, she offer to eat the cost. Our experience was excellent overall. I highly recommend this place :)

Ashley has above average furniture at very competitive prices and here, on Sisk Rd Ashley, you have to ask for Yerman. Yerman is the guy who made this experience an experience. Yerman was EXCELLENT. I wanted a queen size bed and he ordered a full size and it was caught before finalizing my purchase. However I’m very concerned that when it is delivered it will be full size.

Actually, I had to change my review from 5 to 1. After ordering a couch and loveseat, August 19th, I was given an estimated delivery of September 12th. I received a delivery confirmation on September 8th that the delivery would be there September 12th. On September 11th, I received a text confirming the delivery between 3-7PM, so I took off work to make sure I was there. The time came and went. I NEVER received a phone call, email, or text that it was not coming. I had to call them and find out that the couch set was on back order and that it would not be here until October 17th. Same exact thing happened and after taking another day off of work to be there the 17th, they only had one piece of furniture and said the other was again on back order until October 18th. Today, I called and they said it was back ordered again until next week. A family friend said they waited 8 months for their furniture to be taken off back order. I will never buy anything from them. Especially since I had to continuously call just to find out why my furniture is not being delivered. They never communicated with me ahead of time and just expected me to keep taking days off work for them to NEVER deliver the product.
We had a great experience working with Crystal. She was very caring and helpful when it came to meeting our mattress needs. We also appreciated her willingness to work with us as she was very informative. The store manager was also kind and professional. All together, both Crystal and the store manager made the search and buying process swift and easy for us.
Crystal was a very accommodating and knowledgeable to her work. She did an awesome job helping us to choose what we wanted and giving us ideas the right way. Rosie was helpful and informative and found a media center from the website (not displayed) that fit what I wanted perfectly just by listening to what I had in mind. Not all staff respectful, and Ashley nearly lost my business because of that salesman (we declined help since we’d been helped by another salesperson on an different day, and just getting final thoughts and double checking measurements). He continued pressuring, claimed to be the other person’s buddy that assisted with her sales, all the way to high pressure sales closing techniques.He made for an extremely unpleasant visit. Thank goodness for Rosie (and Serita)!

Do not shop here. Waste of money. They are nice at first, but once they have your money then no professionalism at all. I will never ever will go again.
I ordered a couch. They selected the delivery date. I received a text and email to confirm the delivery date, I confirmed. The day before the delivery, I got my old couches removed. That same day I got a confirmation text for my Ashley delivery the next day between 8-12. I called in about 1:30 and they said I was scheduled for delivery today but it didn't go out and there are no notes. They opened a case and said I should hear back in the next 48 hours. Now I have no couch for who knows how long. If I am a no call no show after confirming an appointment for my job, that is grounds for termination. I don't understand why the company is run this way. I appreciate you reaching out but its too late. I called 6 days in a row and no one could give me a reason why the delivery never showed up and why no one called me. No one would tell me when my delivery would be. I canceled. What a terrible way to run a business.

I had an amazing experience here as everything was clean and tidy. Customer service was fantastic as I was well greeted and well taken care of! Furniture was delivered in only three days and it is great quality stuff. Definitely will be coming again for future purchases!!
We had the same issue with the warranty people as a previous customer. We bought the warranty for a sofa, less than a year in we started having issues. The warranty company came and said they needed to order a part. We called a month later, they said the part was on backorder due to shortage caused by Covid. Called again a few weeks later the person on the phone said they discontinued the couch and she would email her supervisor and they would follow up. We're a week in still no call. Worst customer service ever, I'm over all the lies that we were told when we purchased a $4,000 sofa.

Very nice showroom and friendly staff. We selected a dinner table and 4 bar stools. Delivery was easy to set up and arrived 2 days later. Our furniture was set up for us in house. Seamless operation and I had a great experience.
I usually never write reviews, but this warrants one. I purchased a mattress from here that I was told had a ten year warranty. My mattress is now damaged and I called to start the process of getting it replaced, but I have had to jump over numerous hurdles for no apparent reason. In the end, after many attempts to just get help from customer service, my case was closed without it being resolved. At this point it is apparent that they are making any excuse to not honor the warranty I should have the right to use. Do not buy from here unless you'd like to spend thousands of dollars and leave with nothing but a headache.

Beware! My wife and I purchased 2 leather like recliners from Ashley furniture. We were talked into purchaseing the extended 5 year warranty. One and half years later, one of recliners has started to make a knocking noise when raising .We have called the warrantee people several times as well as the store. Have gotten the run around for 5 weeks.They never return our calls. Beware!! They will take your money, afterwards no customer service.I have lost all faith we will never set foot in Ashley furniture again. Stay away. Update Ashley furniture is refunding our extended warranty money. What a headache . Up date Ashley furniture is refunded extended warranty price The store experience was good the extended warranty people were horrible.

Manager(Gerry) is very disrespectful and rude: came in one week prior spoke to joe and was offered a discount for next time and give his card, and this time came back and rosie attended us and joe approached us seeming upset or shocked that we didn’t approach him, anyways he then asked many questions about our personal lives relating to what he asked us last time, and then when time came to pay he was unable to offer the discount and couldn’t remember anything anymore😨then the manager also was no help and started being rude and saying how we needa go back and see if it’ll even fit through our doorframe even though we already spoke to Rosie about this. So in the end they lost multiple purchases from us:) thank you for wasting our time
Gabriel has helped me with my last two purchases in store ! He extremely professional, made us feel confident about our purchase and not pushy what so ever !!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Very nice staff entering and exiting the building. Glad I could take advantage of the sale that was going on with Tempurpedic. Salesman Joe Mota was super helpful in helping me choose what I wanted and even demoed the features of the adjustable bases to choose from. Even though he didn’t have to, Mr Mota offered to pick up, deliver, and even setup the adjustable base in my room. Not only was Joe super transparent with everything but also made sure to reassure and answer every question I had. So far I have only had my mattress and adjustable base for a day but I am super satisfied. Ashley’s Furniture also had another sale going on and I was able to score 4 new amazing pillows. Glad to see honest and hard working sales people and even great higher-ups to back up their workers.

Needed a couch right away since me and my partner had been waiting over a month to receive our order from a different furniture store. We were tired of waiting and decided to try Ashley’s. We were so impressed to have only waited 2 DAYS! This location has their warehouse nearby so they’re able to deliver quickly. They have a hefty delivery fee if you decide to get it delivered from this location and you automatically pay for the premium delivery. $129 was what we paid and we had bought a $900 couch. There was no option for the cheaper unassembled drop off unless you wanted to wait for it to come from Wisconsin. But you get what you pay for as the delivery drivers were exceptional - quick and careful. My only reason for not providing 5 stars was for customer service. First off, I felt there was a bit of hidden upsell from Gabriel. I wasn’t told by the salesmen that there was an option for a cheaper delivery fee - I had to read the fine print and ask him. Also my partner wasn’t given the full customer service experience from the salesman. I was the only one being addressed and it would’ve been better if she had been acknowledged. It could have been an honest mistake, but still, it was her money to purchase a couch and so she should have been included.
Our sales person was Joe Mota. He was very respectful and was not pushy at all. He let us look around and didn’t bug us but when we needed his help he came right over. He also explained some other things about mattresses which was very interesting and although we aren’t in need of one now, it will be useful in the future.

They were great helping me with what I came in there for. I called back after I left to make sure it would fit to purchase over the phone because I was told I could do it this way. When I called and tried to do so I was told I couldn’t and would have to come back to store. Came in today to purchase sectional was told I could pick up from warehouse on Friday but would have to call make appointment. Called was told 2 pieces on backorder what??? And could NOT pickup on Friday.

Had a great experience with getting a new bed delivered today. The store itself was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. After we picked our favorite bed, the sales woman walked us through box springs and bases and even set us up for a delivery only a few days later. Thank you! Don't trust these people. I spent 3000 dollars on a sofa set that is not washable even though Rick told me it was. He said the fabric was chenille which also is incorrect. The in store price is way more than the price advertised online for the same items at the same store.

DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM . me and my boyfriend bought a 1600$ couch from them and it came damage!!!! The arm was damaged and had no cushen to it ! It came flat . I tould the delivery driver he said if we call they will give us a new one ! So we kept it this was 3 months ago still no new couch and they give us the run around every time I call I tould them we don't want the couch anymore. They say they will call us back they never do . It's Messi yup my credit so I had to make a payment on it Ashley needs to make it right and give us our money back I'm getting the police involved this is so wrong of them worst place to get a couch 🤬🤬🤬🤬 To top it off I am adding to my review as I still have not received my money for the couch that I returned. I am beyond upset. This is unacceptable. I have been calling almost every other day just to get the money back
Jade was the salesperson that helped me. I was extremely impressed with her style. She listened to what I was looking for & then started showing me mattresses that met my needs. She had excellent knowledge of the products. She gave me all of my options from top to bottom but was not pushy in any way. I had been to many other places shopping for the same thing and came back to Ashley furniture because of Jade and Jade only as what I was shopping for could of been purchased at any of those other places. Great job Jade!
From the start I been having a bad experience. The Furniture was not delivered on time. Make sure to really look at the display furniture features because some stuff is not the same once you get it. Also, DO NOT buy their insurance its a total scam. I have a dinning set that I purchased through Ashley Furniture. I was sold this "Great insurance" was told it would cover stains, marks, broken parts, etc. This is a LIE they do not cover stains or fix broken parts. They start making excuses about cumulative damages. It is not worth the money. Don't waste your money.
Terrible customer service. $70 for delivery of a TV stand when I live 15 minutes away from warehouse. Then when I choose warehouse pickup they only are available a week later. Absolute trash company.
I advise anybody that's looking for a new furniture not to go to the Modesto Ashley store. I received my furniture delivery today The bottom of the couch is wood and it has 2 noticeable chips I went to the store and spoke to the manager he claimed that because it was delivered by a delivery company that they contract with and not directly from the store that they're not responsible for any damage. Nowhere is it posted in the store about them not being responsible. I was never asked to sign anything agreeing to their so called policy , nor did I sign anything when my furniture was delivered. My sales man didn't even support me. The manager claims a repair man will come and see if he can repair my couch . I spent ove 1400. 00 on couch and love seat and now my couch will get refurbished. So not good business!The first time my furniture was to be delivered they were a no show & they never returned my calls I was constantly having to drive to the store to speak to a human. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. My couch was poorly made the base of couch is longer on one side it over hangs the wood base , The fabric at the base where the studs are is wavy not straight like it is on the love seat

Worst shopping experience I’ve had to date. Bought a 2,500 dollar couch on January 2nd 2022 - may not be much to you but that is the biggest purchase I have ever made. To start this off, I was paired with a salesman who obviously was trying to make a quick buck. He lied saying the couch we purchased had clasps on each section to ensure it would stay together since it was a sectional. Nope! Couch spreads and comes apart even if you simply sit on it. He also lied about the delivery date. He promised we would have the entire couch within 6 weeks - we just received the last portion of the couch 6 MONTHS later. We went through the absolute ringer for this couch. First delivery date was in March, pushed to April, later in April, then 3 different dates were given in May. On the 3rd delivery day in May, the guys knocked on the door with a BLUE couch, really? Finally, in June we are given the correct couch. Now, I see a 60 dollar charge to my account with no notice - I just happened to see it on my credit report. I haven’t purchased anything since January - no heads up? I’ve called the store 8 times now, either no answer or the woman at the front puts me on hold for 20 minutes. Why was I charged an additional 60 dollars? I’ve paid the couch in full, I have receipts. Why can’t you answer the phone or figure out what I am being charged for? This store is a joke, no one knows anything and I feel like I’m being scammed.

Our sales associate was completely unprofessional, wasn't listening to my concerns regarding my toddlers first big boy bed... mainly the drop so I couldn't get a 12" or 15" plus foundation bed set because you add a frame extra that's a huge drop... she kept giving us these big thick mattresses. Finally I said thanks but I can't let my son fall 42" to the floor if it happens so where leaving. Then she started showing us low profile beds by that time I was done.... anyone ever shop w a 2 year old? No one wants to spend 3 hours being dragged around....
We got charged for a different sofa than the one we showed the salesperson. It was around 600 dollars in store but the one they sent was 800, and they would not refund us because we had signed the order already. The wrong sofa was added by the salesperson and we didn't catch it because we already were having such a bad experience. They could have at least made an effort to set things right.
We told the salesperson that helped us that we were on a budget and he proceeded to show us all the very expensive things. We later realized that they had charged us 200 dollars more for the couch we bought and they refused to refund that money. We will never shop here again and I pray that this company goes out of business so they can't give anyone else a terrible day.

Hi, My experience has been horrible with this store. I purchased a whole bedset including bed, mattress, night stands and dresser. The sale person Jose and the store manager encouraged me to order the items in separate orders, so i can receive item soon. I ordered the items in the store in 09/2021. So far i received the dresser, night stands and mattress. It has been 7 months, and i am still waiting on the bed. When i try to go to the store and complain about my order, no one helps. The store manager or the sale person won't even bother coming over and speaking to me, only the girls in the front would just keep saying, "we can't do anything." I can not get hold of anyone from corporate either. Every month i receive an email stating that i will be receiving my bed and than receive a call saying that i am not. When I try to cancel the order and return the items, the employees says that we can not return the partial order deliver as it has been so many month. I do not know what to do. I can not cancel just the bed as what i am going to do with the item I already have received. I do not recommend this store and never trust the employees. DO NOT EVER LET THEM TALK YOU INTO GETTING YOUR ORDER IN SEPARATEL ORDER OR DELIVERY OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE STUCK.

I ordered from Ashley home store and I feel like I'm getting the run around about my real balance. I picked up my merchandise in October of 2021 . I am always on time with all my payments! When receiving my first statement it was almost $300 more than what they told me my statement balance was going to be. I have tried calling and getting it resolved but nothing has been done. I honestly will never be purchasing from them ever again..

Bed Bugs!! We purchased a rocking recliner to rock our newborn to sleep. We picked the recliner up at the Ashleys in Lathrop Warehouse. After two days, my husband and I started getting unknown bites! We found the bedbugs on the recliner! Good thing our newborn didn't get bit. We can't even get a refund on the $500 recliner that we can't even use!
Beaware of the sales people in this store, especially John. He followed us around everywhere while we there, which was very uncomfortable. We ended up purchasing a 3 piece set, and he told me that If i didnt like it i have 72 hours to return it. I just had it delivered a day ago , and I wanted to go in and purchase the ottoman that went with the set, and I noticed online that is was MUCH cheaper then when i purchased it not even a week ago. I went into the store to purchase the ottoman and let them know i found it cheaper online and if i can get the refund of the difference, They totally flipped the switch. The manager was extremely rude, the sales associate John lied to my face as well as the managers face when i told him he told me we can return it if something happened. But they were not helpful at all. They already got my money so they did not care about customer service after the sale. I have shopped here many times as well as many family members but I will never shop here again. WORST customer service I have ever seen. BE AWARE do your research before you get there if you are gonna purchase from here. I can see why the store has a 2 star rating. Horrible people work here from associates to the manager. I never seen such horrible customer service. Go online and purchase, its a lot cheaper and they dont MAKE you get the warranty as well.
My fiance and I stopped in here yesterday, while shopping around for a bedroom set. It's a beautifully set up store, and the salespeople are very attentive. Very clean. Easy to locate everything. Very professional. My only complaint is that we would have preferred to look around uninterrupted, and the salesman felt a little too attentive. It may be that you'll think otherwise though. To be fair, shopping in peace is more of a personal preference. Otherwise, it was a pleasant experience.

wasn't greeted at all for nearly 30 minutes when I walled in to buy. when finally greeted I wasn't really assisted at all but they gave me their promotion and walked away. the store was pretty much devoid of any other customers. felt unwelcomed so ended up leaving.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SHOP AROUND BEFORE GOING ASHLEY & IF YOU PURCHASE THERE CAREFUL WHEN THEY SELL YOU THE PROTECTION PLAN. I purchased different furniture items there and my dining set have for more 2 years PROTECTION PLAN but they do t want to covered to get it fixed. They send me a Technician and he said that if he put he’s products to remove a stain, he will probably damage the table (I’m assuming because is a stain what is supposed to be covered, but because is cheap furniture will get damage with good products to remove stains). They been making me call several times and I’m waiting for get my table fixed and they washed there hands saying that I can get that fix because have another damage for regular use….. The PROTECTION PLAN WASNT CHEAP AND DOES NOT WORK BECAUSE THE FURNITURE IS SO CHEAP. I learned my lesson and no more purchases from there, I think IKEA is cheaper and better quality. At the store they don’t explain all this, make sure they go through all PROTECTION PLAN BEFORE YOU GET IT.
Worst customer service ever. Would never recommend. I purchased a sofa and a coffee table set. The sales rep said the delivery time was 8 weeks from the purchase date. But few weeks later when I called customer care about an update and after staying on the line for more than an hour, I found out the table set was back ordered till March( 5 months from my purchase date).( No one notified me of this change in schedule, I discovered about this because I took the effort of contacting customer service) Online customer care rep said she cannot do anything about it so I had to go to the store again as the sales rep won’t answer my calls and the phone number for the store went to online customer care instead. I had to visit to the store and change my table set order to one which was available during the time my order was supposed to be delivered. They confirmed my order multiple times the day before delivery and cancelled it last minute without any prior notice. When I rescheduled my order for the following week, the delivery time they mentioned was 12-4pm. ( I paid extra $120 for the delivery and assembly so I had to make sure someone stayed home during the time of delivery, so I had my schedule planned accordingly)But I received a call at 9 in the morning that my order will be delivered in the next 7 minutes and they cannot change the delivery time. Their terms clearly state that customer will be notified 30-40 minutes prior. When I called customer care about the issue the rep was extremely rude and said you should be happy we are delivering it before time. Once again, I would never recommend this store as the customer service is the worst and they keep apologizing every time, but keep on making the same mistakes again and again.

They’re friendly but only thing I would change is the help of the people that work there. One of the ladies who insisted on helping us was very pushy and followed us through the story trying to sell us so much but didn’t give us space to breath and to shop a little before bombarding us.
Nice furniture. My biggest complaint is if you are in a wheelchair ♿ forget going in here. It is really hard to move around in order to look at the furniture. We had to ask to move pieces to get through. Then the sales people were not helping or helpful at all. Most just looked at us like they were mad. I do not know if they were having a bad day or what. But it made me feel bad for even going in the store. If your not handicapped you will do fine.

My rating is on the purchasing experience and not on the quality of the product thus far as I have not received the item I purchased. I was informed that the couch I wanted was in stock at their warehouse and when I called to schedule a pickup time I was told that the item would not be in stock for almost a month. When I called the sales associate back I was told they would look into it and I would receive a call back. I had not received a call back so I attempted to contact the associate again and no one picked up. So I am highly dissatisfied with my buying experience.

The customer service at Ashley’s is amazing. They are super friendly and super helpful even when it gets busy and stressful. They really care about helping the customer in the best way they can. They reached out to me as soon as they figured out what was going on with my orders and even took care of me for the inconvenience. The girls in the front are super friendly and nice they were reaching out to the third party for me and sending out emails to get me my order because that’s how much they care. Life happens but Ashley takes care of you.
I came in here looking for a couple of items and what I received was way more just the furniture I was looking for, Julyssa was a complete gem and went above and beyond to make sure all my needs and wants were met! I wouldnt just recommend my friends and family but anyone out there looking for nice furniture and great service.

We went in on 10/08/21 and were immediately greeted by Julysa. She helped us throughout our entire purchase. She was so patient and kind especially with us having a toddler. When it came to savings, Jose the manager really helped us! He was also amazing and was a great along side of Julysa. I highly recommend Ashley furniture and be sure to ask for Julysa.

I purchased a $3500 couch from them and when the couch was delivered to my home the people who delivered my couches STOLE from my home . I have video proof of this and it’s been a week since they were suppose to resolve this issue and still haven’t . Terrible customer service . Do not buy from here . I literally have video proof of them stealing from my home and have done nothing to resolve this issue . Worst Service i have ever received from a Furniture store especially coming from Ashley's, since when do they deliver your furniture to your door and just leave it there, I'am 9 months pregnant and neither of the 2 delivery drivers offer to help bring it my couch just dropped it off & left. Wow i will never purchase from here again.

Absolutely amazing customer service from their manager, and I wish I could remember his name specifically. Today I went into the store frustrated because my bed was delivered broken twice. This obviously is not the store's fault, instead the warehouse's fault, but you have to go to the store for the customer service. The manager was absolutely amazing in helping me schedule a technician, and even went above and beyond by giving me a gift card to cover the shipping cost, since it was damaged twice. I was very impressed!
PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT. So I went in to place and order we left to think about it they called us back after the store had closed the “sales manager” said he would give a big discount if we did 2 yr financing as opposed to the 5 yr promo they had at the time. He took $200 off and did not honor the half off price for again the sale they were having. We really wanted the furniture so we got it anyways. I called to change delivery date as we we’re getting keys to our new home sooner. I spoke with a women on the phone she advised they can deliver Monday sep 1st (holiday). I did not get my furniture on the new delivery date. I spoke with a male he said there is no notes regarding my call. I said fine we will keep same delivery date. I called and spoke with “store manager” or whatever the highest lady there is and she was offered $100 off my almost $6,000 order for “inconvenience” because I called the “call center” not the store she did not know how to read the notes that were left. I mentioned the right thing to do was refund the delivery fee as I did not get the delivery on the date I was advised of. After discussing she offered my delivery fee in gift cards. Delivery day comes they provided a time frame from 2:30-6:30 we get a message at noon stating arrival time is in 10 min my husband rushes to new house and waits over 2 hrs as they did not show up in 10 min. Delivery time come they guys threw the furniture off the truck they came in to “assemble” but we’re actually unable to assemble because on one end there were no brackets to connect the pieces together on the other side the brackets did not like up. We ordered a sectional and received a single chair. In the end they advised they could not give us the product we originally wanted and agreed on because the salesman did not know his products. We cancelled the order and offered to return gift cards as we did not want them any longer the sales manager advised we are welcomed to keep them. Later that week we went in to purchase a desk and the store manager refused to accept our gift cards it was the least they could do. This store is an absolute joke. I will never shop here, recommend this place and will always advise to shop literally any where else. The store manager was raising her voice at me on the store she was trying to provide false information. We did end up getting the desk for “free” however they were suppose to honor the sale price online and we wanted the furniture protection and we would pay the difference. She did not provide us the option when she “placed the order” she just zeroed out the price and was absolutely awful at her “service”.

I visited Ashley Furniture in Modesto, CA on 8/19/21. I was looking for a dining room set. My sales person, Casey Aviles was amazing. He spent a long time with me helping me to get just the right deal. This young man is thoroughly knowledgeable and I highly recommend him. AND...the best part of my experience is that my delivery date as stated that day was kept and not delayed. Most Importantly I absolutely love the set I chose. Thank you Casey Aviles
Bought a chair there last July, paid cash for it. We were going to pick it up from the warehouse, but changed our mind about it. So we canceled the order the following day. They will not issue me a cash refund. They said they have to mail me a check for my refund. It's been almost 2 months and I still have not received it. Called the store and customer service several times and NOTHING!!!! Not helpful at all. They're so quick on taking your cash but it takes them forever to give the refund back. They just lost a customer..
I was looking for some living room furniture and just happened to go to Ashley's to browse. They were having a big Labor Day sale and I found exactly what I was looking for in minutes. I had been checking out furniture stores all day and the sofa set I found was the best I'd seen in the area. The sales rep. Adela Parga was very nice and helpful. She went the extra mile after we had added up the price and checked with her supervisor and I got an additional discount from her. I'd definitely go back again. Thank you Adela. Good job.
I would give them a 0 if I could. They have messed up my order 8 times since February, tried to tell me it was my fault that they have horrible communication and don’t know how to do their job correctly. I will NEVER buy anything from them and I warn you now to stay away.

Lin was amazing! My father and I had no idea how today was going to go--the stress of moving is hard enough, but trying to fill an empty house with stuff to make it a home? Impossible. That's why we did not have much expectations when we came in Ashley HomeStore....BUT I guess we had nothing to worry about! The selection is great, and we were greeted and taken care of immediately by Lin. She helped us through the whole process and I am certain we would be lost without them! The service was 100%, the location was filled to the brim with tons of styles and selections--it was almost intimidating... in a good way. My only concern about the place is that it is a little hard to navigate since there is SO MUCH ON THE FLOOR. I mean, it is a great thing to have such variety and options, but when it started to get busy it was very hard to navigate around the store. Nevertheless, we had a really great experience here all around. If you need furniture, this is the place to go!
I brought a bed frame there, it was 2 weeks late. When they delivered it, the people who set it up did a bad job, they made extra holes in the leg of the bed, the bolt are cheap, the middle leg/pegs are short that the mattress was not level, making my wife have a bad back. We reported it, and we need to wait 2 weeks for a technician to come see and fix it. They fix the legs, they give replacement bolts, and tell use we need to buy bunkie board to level the mattress.
Very disappointing experience. We went to the showroom in mid-May to look at a reclining sofa and loveseat set. By the time we'd left, the sales associate had talked us into purchasing a package with a lot of extra pieces (rug, end tables, lamps, etc.). The extra pieces would've been put to use as we have two adult children setting up new homes/apartments and it was a "good deal." The order was supposed to arrive within a 6-8 week time-frame (not the 1 week on the website), we were told due to COVID-19 backlogs in the construction and shipping of Ashley products, but not an unreasonable time to wait. In the meantime, we removed our old broken furniture with the hopes of sitting on patio furniture for only a brief time. Not so fast! The order did not arrive in late June as projected, and kept getting pushed out because some of the "extra items" in the order were still back-ordered. We requested partial delivery several times, but still couldn't get delivery of our furniture. Our patience wore out when delivery was pushed to late October, 5 months! We cancelled our order and requested a refund. Even giving a refund proved to be challenging for the staff at the showroom to understand. We would not recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone!
Great customer service in store
Purchased king matress frame that was installed terribly. The frame was broken, legs of the frame had holes, middle support was not leveled and the actual frame was bigger than a king size bed that was purchased. The mattress sunk in the unsupported middle frame of the bed. We called customer service to have the bedframe replaced or receive a refund. We had to wait a few weeks for someone to come and assess the bed frame. Customer service was not supportive because they would not assist with replacing the frame forcing us to sleep on an unsupported mattress that caused my wife back pain. From Quang Tran
The delivery department is the most incompetent I've ever seen. We ordered a sofa and a bunk bed and the bunk was supposed to be delivered while the sofa was coming at a later date. The first delivery showed up with the sofa instead of the bunk and only 1/2 of the bunk. So we rescheduled for the following week for the bunk. The second delivery shows up again with only 1/2 of the bunk. So my son has been without a bed for 2 weeks and customer service won't do anything to rectify the situation except reschedule again for another delivery. Completely unacceptable! Will never shop here again!

Don’t go here. You shop in store and they make mistakes on what you wanted. When you don’t get what you paid for they tell you “You signed already, we can’t take it back” Sales rep i dealt with was nice but failed to explain I won’t be getting what I see in store. Don’t waste your time you might as well go somewhere else if you just want a couch. Don’t come here looking for a sectional they’ll just send you a regular couch and tell you nothing can be done and you’re stuck paying for something you could have gotten anywhere else.

I have had the worst experience with them! Not only did my living tables delivered sratched but when my delivery date they were suppose to confirm the time before they arrive they didn't my schedule time was between 3 pm to 7 pm so I took time off work to come find out they delivered earlier luckily my son just happened to be home early from work they came at 12 which would of been fine if they had called to tell me! I took time off work for nothing! My whole experience has been horrible won't buy nothing here again.

While you are a potential customer, the service you receive is great. Obviously the goal is to make you feel comfortable to so you can buy their furniture. And I did. Once I received my furniture the customer service went out the door. I have been having issues with a table a bought, and it's been a month and I they still haven't resolved the issue. I also ordered additional recliners and the delivery date was set, no one called to confirm so I did. I confirmed the delivery as one should and still they said the didn't get the memo. My furniture was delayed. Manager 'gave' me a discount on delivery fees, but mind you I was never paying delivery fees in the first place. I am not one to complain, if you find me on Google Reviews you will see I only review places that I love. If I could I would return all my furniture (almost 10K) back and never deal with Ashley's HomeStore again. It has been a too stressful to say the least to work with their customer care. I can't imagine what it would have been if I didn't purchase the warranty/insurance, I am sure I would be crying under that darn table. This is a shame of customer care. I would not recommend anyone to shop at Ashley's.
All representatives there are eager to answer any questions and support with your purchase except, Crystal Marquez and Andrea are hands down the most genuine and caring reps. Visited this store for a dining room table before and although I was granted the best discounts possible, the man helping was a bit condescending and ignored my budget. Most recently I returned for living room sofas and with the aid of Crystal Marquez, she price matched prices online, I wasn't rushed nor were my concerns ignored, plus her persona was great and truly genuine. Understanding, helpful and at ease when making a purchase. Do your research, people not sales. . .

Will not honor promotional financing, if you price match. We price matched from ASHLEYFURNITURE.COM! Also, the delivery and protection plans cost more at this "Brick and Mortar" location, than online. Was lied to by a manager Sure feels like a Bait and switch, since the current promotion was 50% off and 60 months interest free. Would only give me 12 months free interest, because " that's what they decide". Was also told if I had my ottoman delivered via FedEx instead of paying more for home delivery, they would not let me return it. Very disappointed!

I went in here with intent but not set in stone I was purchasing. They had great deals, we spent well over an hour trying sectional couches and John was SUPER helpful. Always near to answer questions but gave us space to comfortably try the couches out. He wasn’t pushy but very knowledgeable. I knew he was the salesman I wanted to have! We got a lot of help from the sales manager as well. She even helped us get an extra deal! Overall very nice people there and the first of our two deliveries went great!

Customer service is terrible. i got a sectional very nice sales man help me with it had to be ordered which no problem everything seem like it was going fine. after about 2 weeks. I get the sectional its damaged i get given a appointment for a tech to come out which he did after about 2 weeks just for him to say if u keep it that way u will get a discount . so then that started i been wait for over a month to hear anything about this matter. I keep getting told many different things when i call or chat with customer service i will not be getting anything else from this place.

Mandeep the manager and Joe the salesperson were very helpful. We brought a lot of stuff for the new home. They helped us on Saturday night and even stayed after hours to finish our order. But the store manager was not happy with them helping us on Saturday night and was annoyed as she wanted to go home. On Sunday we went back to make changes and to buy more stuff. We overheard the store manager telling Mandeep why did you gave us the extra discounts and other things. She was telling Mandeep all this on the store floor in front of other customers. Which didn't felt right and we almost were going to cancel our whole order but we didn't do it as we felt bad for Joe, who worked hard.
We had a lovely experience at the Modesto store. Crystal was our sales representative and she was absolutely amazing!!! She was attentive, and gave us every option available before we made our decision. She also kind enough to take what we wanted up with her manager Geri (sp?) Who then gave us a killer discounted deal for buying multiple items. They dealt with our undecisiveness and silly jokes 😂 Would highly recommend looking at Ashley for your next purchase, and if you can, ask for Crystal!

She made our purchase a breeze without tying to be pushy or anything we were able to get what we wanted and get one heck of a deal. 2 living room sets one as a sectional and one as a sleeper sofa with queen mattress, our California king temperpedic mattress with the adjustable bed frame all for a great price!
This store is beyond disorganized and completely full of employees that just lie to you try to keep you as a customer. They give you the run around on delivery dates and never deliver the furniture on the date they say they will be delivered. It’s surprising that they’re still in business with how they have people back and forth lying to them! Go anywhere else. Ashley’s is the absolute worst place you can buy furniture from!

I had been looking online at a few different furniture stores, Ashley being one of them. Delivery dates were all over the place with all of the stores. We decided to go into Ashley and they had the set I had been looking at online. Delivery for the bed and mattress were within a few weeks. The rest of the pieces were a little longer but that was no big deal. Casey was great to work with. Showed us our options and even made recommendations. When we made our final decision, the process went quick. Can’t wait to set her room up.
Purchased a kitchen table from here and didn’t even last six months before It started coming apart and the wood started warping and peeling. Paid for insurance and they just give you the runaround and never call you back. Paid way too much for a table that only lasted six months. Clean as directed, horrible experience & Furniture.
Warm and welcoming, Adela happily greeted my wife and myself at the entrance. Adela was helpful with the sales of the day and what options were available. My wife and myself were on a mission for a specific type of couch and we were able to walk around freely without feeling that seller pusher vibe from anyone. Once we hovered over a winner Adela came over and asked if we wanted any info.Adela and her manager worked together to get us the best deal and coverage for our couch and after confirming the right couch, we able to be in and out in under 30 minutes. As a nervous new buyer of home furniture, it was a great experience over all.
We went to Ashley's to get a couch and love seat. We have a 20 year old Ashley couch already and decided to get another. We worked with Josh. He pointed out that the couches and love seats were virtually the same price, so we bought two couches instead of a couch and loveseat. It was a great shopping experience with a friendly and patient sales staff.
Never buy anything from Ashley modesto. They never answer their phones if you have any questions about your purchase. Table arrived damaged and couldn't get a hold of anyone. Had to drive back to the store just to ask them a question.
I made an appointment to go into Ashley Furniture Store in Modesto CA on 3/20/21 met with Gabrial C, Salesman. I brought in a screen shot of the sectional sofa I wanted and had been searching for and was told there were 2 in stock. The sofa I wanted was the SAVESTO WHITE 3PC SECTIONAL. I provided Gabe with the information and he placed the order which initially was for the Charcoal Gray . I called him about an hour after I placed my order to ask him to change it to the White instead, He stated he would have his Mgr take care of the change. My sofa was delivered today 3/25/21, I allowed them to set everything up, I had to sign for the delivery and when they left I looked at the sofa and noticed it didn't have the 3 sections that there was only 2 so I took a photo and looked back online and found Gabe had ordered the SOLTREN sofa not the SAVESTO . I texted him a photo and got no response so I contacted the store and was told by Marlene that since I accepted the sofa it can not be returned. She said she spoke with the Vanessa Sandoval, Reg. Mgr and Jerry Heath, Store Mgr . All my invoice said was a sku# and sofa in the description. After I provided the name, sku and print shot of their site to the salesman who was responsible to enter the correct information...just to get a couch I didn't order. NOT TO MENTION THE SALESMAN NO LONGER WORKS THERE...I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE STORES AGAIN. ALL I GOT WAS A SOFA I DIDN'T ORDER AND NOTHING BUT A SORRY FROM MANAGEMENT!
I am currently getting an attorney as they are complete fraud... what you sit on in the show room is not what is delivered...if you ever get that delivery...I bought my couches 1/10/2021 they told me 5 weeks.... so middle of february... nope they changed the delivery date at least 5 times only to finally deliver the couches on 2/26/21....oh there’s more... I only received 2 of my 3 items.... and one of the items brought into my house is defective....oh there’s more... they were going to send a tech out to look at the couch....but you got it they rescheduled that as well. If I can change at least one persons mind about going to Ashley’s this review is worth it... just look up lawsuits against Ashley furniture and you will understand. Cheap furniture for quality furniture price...pleaseeee take your money elsewhere.

I've had 2 bad experiences here. As soon as I walked in I was followed by an employee who didn't let me look around at my own pace. I felt pressured to buy. They talk about sales but the price randomly jumps up instead of going down. I've had a much better experience at Modesto Furniture on carpenter.
Was given the run around on when my couches were going to be delivered I was told 3-4 weeks but dates just kept being pushed 4 months after wards. Manager promised a credit for the inconvenience and it was never reported. So we went to the store to get credit as we were promised but only to find out that Manger no longer worked there and the very rude and not helpful Indian Manger there would not provide credit even after speaking to our sales person that was there when the credit was promised. It wasn't until after a while of complaining we would bring corporate in that he gave us some of the promised credit. If you in the market to buy furniture go else where because this store will just waste your time.
STAY AWAY. We ordered furniture from them in October, saying it would be delivered in 3-4 weeks. After multiple delays, they cancelled the order, without telling us. Add to that - they are insisting that we drive back to the store to get the refund. Awful company, awful business practice, avoid frustration and shop elsewhere.

Extremely rude Indian lady who is the "OFFICE MANAGER" and clueless manager, DAVID. I came in today with my grandmother for a refund on a purchase she paid for on January 1st. The order was supposed to be delivered on Jan. 20th and Ashley furniture never called to let her know of the change. Since then, the delivery date changed 3 other times to make it around February 17th. My grandma who already sold her other furniture decided that was way too long to wait and shopped around elsewhere. We came in for a refund and was directed by a nice salesman, Rick, to where the office manager and the manager, David, were sitting. We were standing there for over 20 minutes and were not even greeted by either of the managers. The office manager, Indian lady, was making personal phone calls and the store manager, David, started helping another disgruntled customer who came in after us. He was acting condescending to her, it was hard to watch. I finally was able to get their attention by asking where the bathroom was. The Indian lady (office manager) was rolling her eyes and extremely rude. I was seriously shocked that these people work in customer service. 45 minutes later my grandmother was told she would get a check mailed to her within 7-10 days. Furniture Market down the street had the same exact bed, nicer couch and love seat for $1350 less than Ashley and it will be delivered BEFORE the order placed with Ashley on January 1st. Unbelievable! I'm not surprised at all to see other reviews with "rude Indian lady".
Horrible experience - I went in the store and they said they had a 50% off sale going on which is the biggest lie ever cause it all adds up to be the same. I was working with a lady and she was really nice she was going back and forth asking the manager for pricing help and coming back and telling me what the price would be for the furniture. It was taking a bit of time I had my mom in the car. However, we started working with the manager he was nice and helpful. Since, I had seen a bedroom set online I wanted to see if they can price match it from the online price. It was saying 2500.00 for the whole set but the manger told me the best he could do was 2800.00. So, I was working with him to lessen the price and behind him was a Indian lady don’t know her name who kept mean mugging me and staring at me. Then she gets up and says “there’s only so much we can do” and shakes her head very rudely while saying that to me. I replied to her and said “but I’m not working with you” she then said “what” and kept staring and I said “I’m working with these two not you” . I honestly don’t know what her problem was she was very rude. She should never butt in when I’m not even working with her. I would take my money else where! Hopefully she’s happy now she cost them a sale with her loud mouth!
My first and worst furniture buying experience the manager told me the wrong delivery date, I paid over 200$ for furniture set up and when my furniture was dropped off the completely refused to do anything, Then my dresser came with the wrong parts and they were pretty much no help whatsoever and very rude. I wanted to return everything and go somewhere else but they aren’t accepting returns. And now I’m waiting ages to get a technician to fix it. STAY AWAY!! Not worth the hassle. 👎👎👎
Stay FAR FAR away from Ashley home furniture. They aren’t excepting returns or exchanges for any reason during to “COVID-19”. We bought a dining room table from them and were originally going to move into a larger apartment, but something came up and we ended up moving into a smaller apartment. So now the table is to big. We never opened the table or anything, everything is still as it came. We first called Ashley customer support, they said to ask the store and they can approve it if they choose to approve it. We asked the manager “Mandeep” and he said he would accept the exchange, so we pick something out and they created a case and gave us a number. They told us it would take about 1 - 2 weeks and they would call us. They never did. We went back to the store and they started playing the COVID-19 card, told us no they can’t for any reason. The manager allowed the front desk people to tell us instead of himself. We had to ask for him even though he was right behind them just standing there listening. These people are flip floppy and they lie. So many people handle the UNOPENED BOXED UP MERCHANDISE before we get it and because it was delivered to us all of a sudden it’s untouchable. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE. THE ITEM IS UNOPENED. Worst place, worst company, they don’t work with you. Nor do they care. Also the front desk ladies are kind of rude which isn’t appreciated.
We give them 0 stars. This was the worst experience we have ever had. We bought a sofa and chair in Sept 2020. The salesman first told us we could have it in a week or so. When we went to buy it it turned into 6 wks. But we said ok. Then 3 days before it was to be delivered we got a call saying it would be in Dec and they couldnt say for sure or not. We went into the store and cancelled it on Oct 31st. They said they could not credit our card there in the store that the main office had to call and "confirm" our number even though I had it in my hand and my ID. They didnt even ask for my ID when we bought the sofa!.. They said the main office would call within 5 days, usually within 2 days, 4 days later I called them and of course they blamed covid for me having to leave a message etc and they would call withn 24 hrs. 2 days later I called my credit card company to dispute it. They took over for us. Ashley never got back to them, so the credit company sent a letter and Ashley had until Jan 2, 2021 to respond. Guess what Ashley waited until Jan 2nd to refund our money!! They had it since Sept! We will NEVER go to this store EVER. And we have told all our family and friends. And alot of them have had problems also with Ashleyhome Store
We had a gentleman named Joe that was very helpful with our questions and very knowledgeable about our needs. We will go back to this same store for future furniture needs
Had my 2 couches delivered in early November 2020. One of the couches came damaged. Some of the brackets for the backing were bent sideways. The delivery guys were very nice and attempted to bend them back. They were able to bend them so they could at least get the back on so the couch was usable. He took pictures and told me they would fix/replace the couch and Ashley would contact me. 2 weeks later, still no call from Ashley. I called and they had no idea about the damage. Told me they don't have access to photos taken by delivery team. I scheduled a technician to come out since it was required. No available dates for couple weeks. Technician never showed up for repair/replacement. Called Ashley and they told me no date was scheduled. I had to set up another date again and this time had to submit photos (apparently that is why the 1st technician didn't show up because the 1st time i called the representative didn't tell me or ask for any). 2nd date scheduled for Dec 15th. Was told I would be called prior to technician arrival. No call. I was at work and only knew he showed up because of RING doorbell. I called Ashley and they said he already showed up and he was SUPPOSE to call but DID NOT! So now I have to reschedule AGAIN! I love the couch but getting a technician is such a mess!!! Horrible, horrible experience. Hopefully this does not continue in the future.
I purchased a 4 piece couch on Sep 7th, 2020. Delivery delay was Oct 20th. When the scheduled day came, they delivered 3 of 4 items correctly and another item I didn't order. One $1000 item wasn't delivered. I told them of the problem and they scheduled November 13th to reattempt. On November 13th, the truck showed up to my parents house across town for some reason. They rescheduled for November 23rd. Nobody showed up. They rescheduled for November 28th and finally showed up. The team came into my home without the piece I ordered, and told me they were there to collect the incorrect item. I sent them away and told Ashley's to deliver the item I ordered and provide resolution. A sales person from this store said she'd have the manager contact me within 48 hours. It has been 8 days and I have heard nothing. This store is impossible to direct call into without a 20 minute hold.
Awful customer service. We ordered our couch for our new place September 19th and we were told we would get our couch November 2nd. They called October 30 to tell us it will not be ready until November 29th. They let us know it would have to be a new date once again for December 6th. It is December 5th today they texted to confirm delivery. I accepted and received a call shortly after confirming two pieces will be arriving. They called at noon and someone from the warehouse told me that only one piece of the sectional couch would be ready tomorrow and had no estimated time for the only other part of the couch. I am done with having to sit on patio furniture in my house. I will never purchase anything from them again and if they keep up with their current business model they will definitely lose future customers.

Ashley Furniture is one of the worst places to purchase furniture. While they are nice to you in the showroom. Forget service from customer service after you walk out the door and there are issues. I originally purchased furniture on September 19th. Here it is November 30th and I still have not received all the furniture I have ordered. Two items still not delivered, one item was broken and another supposedly needs a technician to come out and repair it, hold time is horrible after 15 minutes on hold they automatically disconnect you. When I leave a message there is no return call and when I have sent an email, I do not get a response. NEVER AGAIN ASHLEY FURNITURE!! ☹️ They only received 1 Star because I cant post with out giving a star. Ashley furniture is a BIG ZERO!!!
Update... In Dec 2020 I spent a day emailing and calling only to leave messages with the Corporate Office. Finally January 3, 2021 Corporate called me back and said they would be building my sofa but it would not be available until March 31, 2021 that I could wait until then to go into the store where I purchased the furniture and work it out. One week later I went into the store. I allowed the Manager David to listen to the message from Corporate, Virginia. He told me that was a long time to wait and offered another sleeper sofa. I told him no, that would not look right with my other furniture. I told him I was tired of dealing with this I wanted it all to just go away. David said if I kept the sofa and cancelled the sleeper sofa he would take $380.00 off the price.. I couldn't believe it, he was actually willing to work with me. I AGREED! I have been calling Ashey Home Furniture in Modesto, Ca regarding every 2 weeks since, still no credit on my acct. Today, 3/16/2021, was told to give it a few more days. Oh and by the way.....David is no longer employed at Ashley's. I'm surprised the store is still in business after reading all of the problems people have all around the U.S.A.!!!!! So upset Went into store 8/29/2020 walked around 45 minutes before being approached on my way out. I should have kept going. Looked at 3 different sofa sets, style, color and importantly had to be a sleeper sofa. One didn't come in a sleeper, nix that one. The set chosen was then based on color and I was able to purchase a sleeper. On 9/30/2020 the set was delivered, no sleeper. I told the delivery man I didn't want it. He said I had to fight it out with the store. I am 65 and live 40 minutes away, there is covid, it is not like I want to drive back and forth because no one at the store wants to answer the phone. A complaint case was opened. In the middle of a family emergency I received a call from the manager the first week of November. Mgr said I would get the sofa would be switched out with a sleeper. No information as to when. I keep calling no one answers. Called again, 11/23/2020, Florida office where all calls roll over to, said my case was closed, "return policy reviewed". Ummm NO..... that is not what was agreed to. I keep plastic on the sofa, no one sits on it...It IS NOT WHAT I TOLD THE SALES PERSON I WAS THERE TO BUY. Like covid wasn't enough, this has been an additional stress and depressed experience. And they say buy local....yeah right!!!!!!!
1 month delivery pushed back 3 times turned to 2 months delivery. When we finally received the sectional, one part was missing the screws for the feet. Delivery immediately called dispatch and dispatch said we'd received the parts in 7-10 days. We're coming up on a month for that too. First time I have an unbelievably terrible experience just for a 3 piece sectional.

The 2nd sale person didnt acknowledged or helped just continued to sit. I wanted to get more information on the management because of this poor customer service. She refused and continued to be on her phone. I will never come back and I will never refer them to anyone.
This is by far one of the worst experiences in customer service I have ever received. Not only did I have to re order couches due to everything being on back order, I was also never informed that my delivery date was pushed back further. I sat around all day waiting for couches to be delivered and nothing to show. I finally called and customer service told me that there was nothing to be delivered today. They also never have any answers and fail to help out in any way. They always refer to calling the store. I definitely will NOT RECOMMEND anyone to purchase from this store. The other furniture stores I have shopped around at were right, this place of business is not worth it.
Worst customer service ever! I purchased furniture over 2 months ago. I have had 3 canceled deliveries so far still waiting. When I go into the store they just make promises they fail to keep. I am still waiting 2 weeks for the store manager David to call me back!

I purchased a power recliner in store with Virgil, a very nice rep who said he would call me re: delivery. No call from Virgil so I spoke with Tacara ( customer service) very nice but said they have it down for pickup 🤔. I informed her that I drive a Toyota and was waiting for a call for date. She was nice enough to schedule a delivery for Saturday the 14th. I call on the 14th to get an approximate time and spoke with Kedeja(nice lady) who said there wasn’t a delivery scheduled. I ask that she have a manager call. Chris called and left me a number to call him back.., called 3 times, no answer. Today I spoke with Chris ( customer care) trying to get a refund.. 🤔she was nice but couldn’t help me , referred me to the store number and of course they never answer. Oh, we’re in the midst of a pandemic we’re 245,000 fellow Americans have died. 😢. I do hope you have a better and safe experience. Beverly

Worst customer service i wish i read all these reviews before i purchased furniture from Ashley furniture. They sold me broken furniture and asked me to sign. So everyone out there DO NOT SIGN If they bring you furniture with even a scratch. As of now they are not fixing my furniture and they are keep saying it is in review. but if do fix it. Worst service you can ever get? Come to their store! Why do you guys sell items that you guys don’t have? Still waiting for my sofas and other furniture ordered month ago. First delivery, two items were shipped instead of 4. And called again for the sofas they gave wrong information and next delivery date. Took a day off to receive my furniture, no one showed up nor I received a call or text message about update. Called again they never knew something was supposed to be sent. Ugh, waited for the supervisor and she was rude and talked like she is doing a favor to me rescheduling my own items bought over $5000 worth. She said she will call me back with an accurate delivery date, and atleast be waiting for the next day delivery, (which is today ) and NO ONE SHOWED UP. Tried to call 3 times and no one picked up my call. I am without furniture from a month now. Never shopping here again...
They sold me a couch 2 years ago and I bought the 5 year warranty. The couch is obviously defective, I had issues right away and needed a replacement in less then 6 months it has significant issues. The warranty doesn't cover the issues because it is a factory defect and Ashley wont fix the issue because it is past 1 year. They don't back their product and they sell you warranties that don't cover you. I called customer service and the corporate number and they just say it is past the one year and that they wont do anything, they do however say "Sorry" DONT BUY FROM ASHLEY.

My husband and I were excited to go here and buy furniture for our first home (we don’t have anywhere to sit in our living room thanks to this store). And it’s been The worse experience ever. Never buying furniture from this store ever again. Bought furniture in June and it’s about to be September and we haven’t received what we ordered. I call to ask questions and they never return my calls, they put me on hold for an hour and eventually hang up. We bought over 3,000$ worth of furniture too. Do not go here. I don’t even know why their stores are even open during this pandemic because nothing is getting delivered. What a disappointment.
They offered very bad service. We got helped by lina and she was very impatient and rude. Everything seemed impossible for her we asked her for prices and she said that a bed was backed order and that they didn’t have a price. I went online and found it and then they were able to find it on their system. Its like i had to Do her job. She looked like she Didn’t want to help us and everything we asked she had to go ask the manager and she would end up telling her yes to go ahead and do what i was asking her. She was so rude. Her customer service was horrible. She just wanted things her way and not to be asked to do anything. I really wish she gets talked to because if she treats all customers like she did to us nobody will buy or go back to the store.

I came to Ashley after having to take Hanson’s furniture to small claims court. To say I was nervous about a new furniture purchase is an understatement. Crystal was my sales woman. She was amazing from start to finish. I picked a sectional that had all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately it stopped working but she sent repair people out 3 times. She then agreed to take the couch back with a full refund for a new product. When I bought the couch there was a huge sale. They gave me the same discount on the replacement. The quality of the furniture is amazing. The new pieces with not be electrical in anyway so I’m sure they will be wonderful. Crystal really went above and beyond. She sent pictures and measurements. She was relentless in finding me something I would be happy with. I’m super happy with the service at this store and the product.

No customer service here! Sent me a broken box spring and it been over 2 months still fighting with them to get a new one! From the looks of a lot of the reviews this is normal for the sh*t company.
They have nice furniture but the customer service and sales reps are rude and disrespectful with customers, they are only looking for fast and big sales, if not they will dish you as fast as they can. Our sales rep didn't even want to speak in Spanish, even though I asked her if she was able (and she said Yes). She kept talking in English (part of my family doesn't speak English) When you ask for information about anything related to online, they will quickly change they topic or say they don't have any information about it, no matter the question you have.

Ashley homestore has been HORRIBLE! I received a tv stand with broken door, chipped shelves AND no hardware! It’s been over a month and I’m still waiting for repair or replacement 🙄🙄. I also ordered a sectional and Delivery has been rescheduled TWICE! They call the day before the scheduled delivery to tell me it’s on backorder. It’s so very frustrating that I ended up cancelling the couch. I’m sure COVID has an impact on delay, but couch was ordered in May and it’s now “available” until end of July. Who knows if they would’ve called again and said it was on backorder 🙄 plus to get ahold of any customer service rep has been extremely difficult and every time someone called me they never knew what I was talking about. No notes were ever taken. Horrible, horrible, horrible!

Initially, walking in to a store, you will be greeted and welcomed. Once it comes down to needing customer support, you will be ignored either intentionally or accidentally. Nonetheless, I have had to call about a damaged piece of furniture that came in and needed replaced. Nearly a month later, and I have still yet to receive a replacement. I contacted their customer care and was given the home store number in which I called over the span of a few days to be left on hold for fifteen minutes then directed to voicemail. I had to go in person one day when I had the time, and we sorted everything out. That was, until I received a call from customer care that they can not issue a replacement and that the home store did not follow protocol. They mentioned that the home store first had to incite a service call to see if the furniture can be repaired, so that is what I did. A few days later, and no one called about the service initiated. Again, I find myself calling customer care and the home store to be reverted back to voicemails. I even messaged them through their online portal for a call back but never received a call back. I finally have some time to go to the home store again and initiated the technician service in person, which nearly another week has gone by and their still was no follow up. I am surprised at the amount of good reviews that Ashley Furniture has on here. I was certainly robbed of a good experience, and wish I had never entered the store. I am running dry on my patience, and have little choice but to seek an avenue unfit for both our times.
1 star for phone service. I ve been on hold way too long for a "furniture" store..ya ll ain't t that busy to answer a phone. Also the worst on hold advertisements I ve ever heard....just a constant NONSTOP annoying voice repeating herself over and over shoving products down ur throat.
Rick took the time to listen to what we wanted and provided a great selection of sofas to choose from. He was very knowledgeable. Definitely ask for Rick. Jerri the manager was also very nice and professional.
Great Furniture and Great Service
Great customer service from John Reiss. I went looking for new bedroom furniture. He wasn't pushy and just trying "to sell me something". He listened and answered all my questions. I wasn't sure on some of the size of furniture I was looking at and went home to think and measure to make sure it was all going to fit the way I needed it to. I did go back the next day and purchase from John the set I was looking at. Great selection of furniture and customer service! I will definitely be a returning customer.

We have been to this store for about 4 times now over the past year. Their customer service is horrible and they do not treat their customers equally. I went with 3 family members and not one retail person came to greet us or ask how we are doing or if we need any help. Whereas, I saw other families walking in and were attended by the staff as normal.
I went down to purchase two recliners. After having issues getting thru to there warehouse for 2 hours I decided to call Ashley's I was put on hold for 50 mins and decided to hang up and call back. She said please hold. I decided to drive down to the store well waiting on the phone.. Spoke to the greeter to let her know what was going on & to show her 25 mins later i'm still on hold. She said to go around to the desk & talk to customer service. I explained my situation to the lady at the desk and showed her I was still on hold for 25 mins not including the 50 mins before. She had an attitude & said well i'm the only one answering the phones. I said well I have been here 5 mins & the phone hasnt rang and i'm still on hold I showed her my phone. So she decided to lift her phone up and then hang up On me. I was still on hold now 30 mins. I explained the situation about the warehouse she said well just like me they only have 1 person too. I told her that the number keeps saying incorrect number and I have been calling for two hours She said you need to keep calling... So I pushed the issue & she ended up calling a different number and set the appt. Then she said here handed me a sticky note with the time and date. She didnt say anything else. She was very rude and had a attitude. With customer service like this I will not be back to purchase from Ashley's.

If I could give NO stars I would. Do not purchase from this company. They have horrible customer service and poor quality furniture. My couch is falling apart and is only two years old. Then to make matters worse they talk you into a credit account and drop your limit when your almost done paying it, which lowers your credit score dramatically. Of all times during a country wide emergency, and I've still paid on time regardless of the emergency. My advise is to go to a store that wont cheat you in your purchase! Lesson learned.

The worker gabriel is no other than a rude worker. He was being asked simple questions and as a customer you have to respond nicely no matter how many times its being asked. He would also keep changing the prices thats when you know they are hustling you so for anyone trying to come in keep an eye out. Do not recommeded him nor the store.

I was literally put on hold since 6:43pm until I decided to hang up at 7:19pm because no one got back to me while I was still waiting on hold. Tried calling back, but store was closed. I'm super disappointed because I was there earlyier at the store looking at a table I've seen and I was calling to buy it because it was a manager special. I was on hold for 35 minutes!! I really hope something is done about this putting customers on hold for so long til they close. Not fair at all.

This store is violating HIPPA LAWS and cannot require customers to take their temperature to be able to enter the store. I will never shop at this store and I will let anyone and everyone I know not to spend their money in this store. If you want your credit score to drop then go here, they are nice here and know there stuff when it comes to furniture but they are vultures waiting by the front entrance so they can get a sale. They had nice furniture but when they start talking about their credit card, they want you to open and use, they will nonchalantly say see how much you can get approved of and will lie through their teeth about it, they will go off the lines they are force to say and repeat the same information when you have questions. They will not tell you it’s a credit card once until you open and you can’t close it right away. They say you can that same day, nope you can’t. So there not affects your credit score when you open and close that account you didn’t want. Mine near dropped in 20 points! Don’t be scammed with theirs credit cards. Don’t be scammed by Ashley home furniture store and don’t be scammed by their sharks in the front entrance.

We enjoyed our experience at the Ashley store in Modesto. Our sales associate, John Hoskins, was patient and understanding of the specific item we were looking for. He gave us a great deal and even allowed us to pick up our furniture at the warehouse in Lathrop. Everything work to our advantage. I have purchased many items for my home, but this was the far best experience.

Transaction was so easy. We walked in, were greeted immediately and mom and I shopped without any pushy sales people. After a while, our greeter asked us if we needed help and let him know which one we were interested in. Got a price, very easily, paid easily and done. We got all ours answers we were looking for and very happy with it all. We can't wait to receive our new couches!

On Jan 26th we ordered a mattress & box spring. It was to be delivered on February 3rd. Never heard from anyone, so I called. Was told human error, some paperwork didn't go through, so we were not set up for delivery. Rescheduled for Friday, February 7th. We got our phone call & text message stating that our 4 hour window was from 3-7 pm. We had an engagement to be at, my husband went & I stayed to wait for the delivery. At 7pm, no mattress delivery. I called the 800 number on my text message, hoping to leave a message to cancel out order. Instead, I hear that our time now is from 5-9pm. NO one should be delivering after 6pm & no one ever notified us of the change!! Then, 10:15 pm, I get a text our Ashley delivery is at our residence. Are you kidding me!! We were going to bed. The next day, I called twice trying to talk with a manager, only to leave a message. We finally went down to the store to cancel our order. We will NEVER do business with them again.
I've been getting my furniture here for the last two years and has been quite satisfied with the product as well as the sales staff that helped me until today at 5:30 pm. I went there looking for a dining table that was advertised and was rudely greeted at the door and rudely talked too while looking for another table then he rudely ended saying to me as he walked away loudly "well that's to bad". This coming from a short hair Hispanic guy with a mustache about 5'7" poorly dressed. No one should be intimidated or talked to like a little kid when making a purchase. This is why I give today's experience only one star. Before today I would rate them at five stars.
Ashley's was our 4th stop and far exceeded the other 3 stores. They had what we wanted, 50% off and easy in out. I am hoping for easy and competent delivery with 2 days.

Worst delivery service EVER! Easy process buying the furniture but recieving it is a different story. Ended up getting our stuff through a 3rd party delivery service since Ashley's couldnt give us our stuff when they said it would be here with NO notice at all that they weren't coming! This happened 3 times!! 3 TIMES!! Better call them the day before to make sure they have your stuff ready to go or else you'll be SOL! This place is a joke, let's just say we will never buy from them again. Lesson learned! Hi david, Thank you for responding back to my post. When will the gift card be available for pick up? Worst experience ever. We placed our order November 12th for an entertainment center and dining table with 4 stools. We were told the entertainment center was on backorder so delivery for the entire order wouldn't be until December 4th . No problem. Come day of our delivery (which we confirmed day before for a morning delivery with 4 hrs window) it was changed multiple times and wasn't delivered until around 6pm. They didn't have our entertainment center and 3 of the 4 stools were damaged.After several calls we got a new delivery date for the rest of the order..and day of delivery they didnt have the stools and the entertainment center was damaged. So another call was made and another (VIP)delivery was scheduled. On the 3rd delivery guess what..no entertainment center and they only had 2 of the 3 replacement stools. We were tired of having deliveries scheduled and us having to take off work so we scheduled for my husband on December 30th to go to their warehouse in Lathrop to pick up the rest of our order on his own. When he got there he had to check and open 3 different boxes of the entertainment center to find they were ALL damaged so he had to take parts from the 3 to make a whole complete one. And of course he received no help from any of the worker's. Needless to say this was a horrible experience and we will NOT be buying from Ashley's Furniture again. Both delivery teams that we had told us themselves that they would NOT recommend Ashley's Furniture. The quality of products is just not there anymore. They use to have such good products and customer service but no longer. We did receive a $100 credit back to our card for the delivery but still would NOT recommend them to anyone.
Table was delivered and as soon as they left I turned on the lights and noticed huge crack in table .. I called two minutes after they left and they said they had to send out technician to repair it. I paid $3000 for a table and want a good new table not a cracked one that they’ll attempt to fix that will always have a weak spot being they’ll just glue it together. Not happy and may not be buying again if they don’t replace table.
There was a good selection here and the salespeople were not pushy. However, after having shopped some locally-owned stores in the area, I felt like they were far less willing to customize there selection and offer the 'perfect product'.

I purchased a table and a rug over a month ago i only received my table I keep getting the run around on where my rug is and they keep telling me it will get delivered and it still has not I walked into the store today to see what is going on I talked to manager Jerry she never said sorry the only thing that came out of her mouth was that she doesn’t control distribution and that they are open 7 days a week and I could have came in sooner and pretty much pawned me over to another sales rep to schedule yet another delivery for dec 21 let’s see if I get my rug over a month later.
We bought a new living room set for our new home, and paid an extra $100 for delivery. We love the couch and chaise, however the tables came damaged and one of the lamps were dinged. We were unable to be home during delivery and my parents had to open the house for delivery. They're in there 80s and said the delivery people set-up everything in 15 minutes and left. All of the damaged areas were pushed up against the furniture to hide it as well. I figured this wouldn't be a problem and called Ashley to let them know about the damage. They said they could schedule a technician to come "repair" the tables. I told them not only was that inconvenient for us, but we had paid for new not damaged/repaired. They refused any kind of compromise saying they had to try to repair it first before they could replace it. The only option was if the store manager wanted to make an exception. I got forwarded to the manager and explained the situation. We live over an hour away from the store and wanted to resolve this as easily as possible. The store manager was extremely rude on the phone and when I said if they couldn't resolve this to our satisfaction I'd return the entire set. At this point she very snidely told me there were no returns and we were told this when we bought the furniture and that we should have declined delivery if there were any problems. Neither myself not my fiancee were told about the no returns. We also have checked our receipt for this disclosure and see no mention of it in any of the paperwork. The delivery people left no paperwork either. I'll be contesting the charges with my credit card company and letting everyone know what kind of service to expect.
Too pushy, over priced
Just left the store. Jerry is a Terrible manager and didnt now customer service. I have no idea where she got her training from. My table was promised on Nov 22 so I could have a Thanksgiving dinner and it never came. Basically back ordered the second time and all I get was I'm sorry. Canceled the 1.5k dinning table and will never shop or come close to this store again...we have so many other near by furniture store and I have no I dea how they stay in business.
Over priced and the sales associate wouldnt answer questions directly
I purchased a couch here a year ago and got the warranty because I was explicitly told that it covered certain things. I asked several questions about the warranty to ensure that it would meet our needs and bought a more expensive couch then I normally would have because I believed the warranty made it worth it. When I filed a claim that was based on the warranty described to me when I purchased the couch I was told that my claim was not covered. I spoke to another person at Ashely furniture who also said it should be covered and they would reach out the the warranty company on my behalf. After several days of not hearing back from anyone, I followed up with the store and the manager told me it would not be covered. It is really disappointing to be so misled and then have no one try to help you. I would not recommend shopping here because of the poor customer service.

I would give no stars if I could. This is the worst company I have EVER delt with. We ordered a couch and accent cabinet. Got the couch but have never received the accent cabinet. We have been told 7 times now it will be delivered and even can see what stop we are the day before but on the day it's to be delivered they say there is no information. We have talked to dozens of people and everyone lies and gives us the run around. We have been guaranteed by many employees that it was going to be here and yet again we have never received our product. They have no problem taking your money an not ful filling their end. Plus there is no one to talk to who has answers. At this point I believe they will never get us our product and management at the local store does nothing. I really wish I would of read reviews before hand because this seems to be a theme with this company. I recommened not purchasing anything from them if you actually want it. They take no consideration that all 7 times we had to miss work to not have out item delivered.

Arrived just to look at recliners today. Was greeted by Victor. Awesome sales associate. There are not enough words to explain our experience. My sister and I were delighted with Victors Outstanding service. Came in to Look and left with 2 recliners a love seat and a new bed with 2 pillows and a mattress pad. Never felt any pressure, got exactly what I wanted and then some. Victor should be awarded Salesman of the year. I will be telling everyone about this experience thanks to Victor. My sister lives in las vegas and will be looking at her Ashley's a lot different now that she witnessed Victor's outstanding customer service.
I had gone to Ashley furniture a few weeks ago to look at furniture. I must of Wandered around the store for 20 minutes with nobody showing me any attention at all. I was looking at a piece of furniture back towards the back wall when a lady came up to me as she was going to the restroom and asked if I’d been being helped and I said no. She said I’ve got to do something really quick but I’ll be right back to help you and she was. Her name was Leslie Molina. She had excellent customer service skills and made me feel very comfortable like I was really a valued customer there at Ashley furniture she’s very patient and she let me wander around the show room to find all the things that I wanted to purchase that day. She would come and check on me occasionally not really hovering over me like many do at a furniture store or other places were purchases are being made. She gave me helpful suggestions. Although even though I was very happy with the service I received from Leslie. I was not impressed by the unprofessional conduct of another male employee who reprimanded a fellow employee in front of customers.The only one I could see who acted professionally was Leslie. You need to give her a award for her fine work! My 5 stars are solely because of her!

My husband and I wanted a rocking recliner, we just had our first baby and wanted something comfortable. We went to the Modesto Ashley Furniture store, and as soon as we walked in we were quickly greeted by Serita L. She listened to what we wanted and walked us back to the recliners. She was very helpful and friendly. We found one we liked and ordered it for pickup. I would recommend Serita if your going to but something at Ashley's. A few days later I go to pick it up. The warehouse in Lathrop was not the best experience, their forklift had a problem the day I went to pick up. I live in Patterson so I was not happy that I had to leave and comeback even though I made an appointment the day before. I told the store Manager David at Modesto where I purchased the recliner from what happened and he provided great customer service. Thank you Serita and David.

Orders did not come in on the time they said twice. It took over a month to be told everything was in the warehouse ready to be picked up. Drove over an hour to pickup the order only to be told that there were pieces still missing. Cancelled the order and don't recommend this place at all. All around awful service.
Michael was an exceptional salesman. He was patient with my husband and I. He was polite and attentive and he answered all our questions. He was the only salesman that stopped when I asked him if he could help me, 2 others said hello and what were we looking for when o sectionals they both said “go ahead and look around & if you see something that you like come and get me, I don’t work that way & id never go looking for a salesman but Michael offered to stick with us to the end of our purchase. Being able to mix and match to create your own furniture set is great. They have a lot of options, and we had fun picking out our living room. However, everything after that part has been very hectic. The couch had to be delivered separately from the coffee table and end tables. The couch arrived earlier than it was scheduled for (thankfully I was home) with a crack in the armrest console, and the tables were a week late. The blanket took 2 months to get here, and it’s the wrong one. I called customer service, but they transferred me to the Modesto store only to drop my call.
I want to thank Leslie Molina sales associate at Ashley Furniture in Modesto Ca. I had a wonderful experience there buying a bed and nightstand. She was so helpful and the sweetest person. He bosses very friendly and so were the other sales people. A very beautiful store presented great and immaculate. I took a friend with me and she really liked Leslie also. First of all I didnt want to go to Ashley HomeStore. I read some reviews and was sceptical about everything, but I am so glad I gave it a chance. I was greeted at the door and Octavio was my salesman. He wa kind and patient with me and my little one...after walking around for an hour I had to give up only because my daughter was tired. Octavio gave me his number and said kindly let me know when you are ready and I'll be here to answer any of your questions. After speaking with my husband we agreed that we would furnish our home with Ashley HomeStore. I went back in and Octavio showed me around and took notes on everything I wanted and needed...lol... after almost 3hrs... I had my list done.. Him and his manager assisted me on the whole process and it was thoroughly described to me the entire process from order to delivery. I was nervous because I spend well over $12k but they made me feel comfortable. Three weeks later my delivery was here and I received many texts and calls confirming my delivery time and date. They came on time and unloaded and set up everything in my home, mind you I have stairs and it was 104* outside. I offered water and they were kind and efficient. A couple items were damaged and we set up a date for the repairman to come and take a look. We only sent back one item that was unrepairable in my eyes and they took it back no problems. I highly recommend this company for all your home needs... will be buying again.

Victor was really fun to do business with. Extremely helpful right from the front door, all the way till we left happily with two couches and a love seat. Victor is definitely an asset to the company with his knowledge and personality.

Great customer service at store, warehouse side could use some work though. Whoever inventoried the items needs to do their job better. Bed frame and Mattress were delivered, but some screws and pieces were missing. So I have to wait another 7-10 business days for it to come in. I’ve always had good experiences with Ashley’s Furniture, just this time it was not the best.

Everything is great until you buy the items and they deliver them to you. After that point they do NOT accept returns which made things really complicated. The side tables didnt fit in our room with the bed. And we had to call them twice to come out and fix the bed that is slowly just falling apart on its own and we havent even slept in it yet, so we have paid for a bed that was cracked and chipping and had nails coming out of it ans they just bandaid it up instead of replacing it, which is terrible because it was ecpensive!!. But getting a new one that isnt falling apart is impossible with them. I have usually loved Ashley's but after this experience, we will not be shopping there again.
My friend had ordered a couch from here and he asked me to go to his place on a scheduled day to receive the order because he has a crazy work schedule and wouldn’t be able to be there and I agree to do so on my day off. Ashley’s sent him a text msg with a time frame as to when they will be delivering the couch and he agreed to the 12:30-4 window. After he responded to the text they called him with automated phone call to reconfirm if the 12:30-4 delivery would be convenient and he agreed to confirm. On the day of delivery I arrived to my friends place at 9:30am with a tag on his door that I had missed the delivery by 20min. They were 4hrs early than the original scheduled time. To make a long story short. My friend attempted to reschedule but they had lost 1 of the 3 pieces of couch order and wouldn’t be able to deliver the missing piece for 3 weeks. The lady at the Ashley’s store had the nerve to tell my friend, “That’s why you should pick a good day for delivery” ! ...we did pick a good day and expected the order to be at at the door 12:30-4. Not FOUR hours early! So to sum up this headache of a situation, Ashley’s needs to clean up their delivery system. This place is an all time joke. “Make sure you pick a good day” for your order.... they might come way early than scheduled and loose your furniture.
We have no complaints , Brittany from the Modesto store is an amazing young woman, she is informative, responds promptly, and is such a fresh breath of air. She has taken very good care of our needs and is always responsive when contacted, she is number 1 in our book....
Definitely ask for Brittany the next time you want to shop for furniture. She knows what she’s talking about for sure. She’s just a happy person, always so bubbly and smiling. Makes you feel at home.

Horrible customer service at this location. They don't care if you don't get your furniture delivered and act like everything is out of their control. The delivery truck came 4 hours early and I missed it because I did not plan for that time frame. Now they are trying to deliver a partial sofa because the third piece magically disappeared from their inventory. Do not order from this place or Ashley's in general as I am now having great trouble getting a refund and no one including the central office answers the phone. Zero stars if I could.

Anthony is the best
Alot to choose from. We ordered nice selections and had it delivered to our home. The two men who made the delivery, scratched one headboard in two places and cracked the other headboard. Not to mention one of the table lamps we ordered does not work. My husband has waited on hold for almost 30 minutes to report the problem. (The problem was reported to the delivery men at the time of the delivery, they said someone would be contacting us, but we haven't heard from them). This counts as poor customer service on the back end. SMH

Wow wow wow never in my wildest dreams did I think I was gonna get the couch of my dreams...until I walked in and met Victor. He was the sales rep that heard and listened to my taste and likes. He pointed me right to THE ONE!!!! I do not like to shop so many options make me overwhelmed. I really needed to get what I'm looking for fast. That is exactly what my sales rep did. He went through number options and protection plan. Making sure I got all I wanted at a 50% off discount. I left the store skipping and can't wait for you guys to get the same experience. The service provided by Serita was great. She gave me a nice selection of mattresses to choose from when I told her my budget and what I was looking for. In addition, she helped me find the perfect frame to accommodate my new mattress. She was able to ensure both the frame and mattress were both in stock, and will be arriving this week. I purchased my sofas, bed frame, dining set, and living room accessories from Ashley a while back. They were very efficient with delivery and setup and the staff was very helpful when I was picking out my furniture. I had such a pleasant experience at Ashley that I decided that I wanted to work for them!!! Now I’m apart of the Ashley family and get to help families that were just like me!
That associate Jacob did a fantastic job helping me pick out my furniture! The management was very quick and efficient and made sure I got out of the store and finished paper work as soon as possible

Got a great deal on two nite stand , until my husband went to pick them up at Lathrop, he got there at 9:45, to find out the computer showed they were in stock, but no one seem to locate them,I had called at 9:am that morning, letting them know I would be there to pick them up at 10:00. my husband was at the warehouse until noon. what a joke they said if he can wait around another hour do they can locate them, this isn’t no DMV, I’m so fustrated, I call the Modesto location hoping I would receive so kind of composition since we live in Modesto,I spoke Brittany ,she told me that her manager was not available, but he would call me back. 2hrs later no call, I decided to call again Britany said her manager could not offer me a free delivery.The sad thing he couldn’t even get on the phone and tell me he was sorry for every thing, The warehouse also didn’t even offer an apology to my husband , As for the company of Ashley furniture, It should always be about the customer service. not just leaving happy from the store but picking up ther product with there smile on there face, love the store but can use some organization when picking ups, seem no one care if they come home with there product or not.😌I like to thank Jon the sales guy go great service,

We just bought a sectional from Ashley Home Store.. We were very impressed with not only the great prices, but how kind, informative and helpful the staff was. In particular, if you are looking for some furniture..do not hesitate, go to Ashley Home Store and ask for Gary Gervase. He really made us feel like we were shopping for furniture with a friend who had all the best advice. He was extremely patient with us, and really made the effort to get to know what we were looking for. We Highly recommend asking for Gary at Ashley Home. * Special Note* Getting your furniture when expected..Don't count on it!! Not Modesto stores fault. The Furniture warehouse needs a lot of improvements, being organized, having everyone on the same page and their delivery system needs major work ... They Get a Negative One! I've had an awful experience with the Modesto Ashley Furniture store. As soon as the store opens I'll be cancelling my order and I will NOT be ordering from them again. I ordered a couch on 12/30/18 and was told delivery would be on 1/18/19 (which I paid $69.99 for). I received the text confirmation with a window for delivery for that day and confirmed and everything appeared to be going in the right direction. The Lathrop warehouse called me in the morning to inform me that the store got the delivery wrong.... that the couch wasn't delivering to the warehouse until 1/18/19 and they could'nt deliver it on the same day it was supposed to arrive to the warehouse. They told me that I would be contacted once it was scanned and rescheduled for delivery. I specifically asked if it would be within a day or two, or if would be another week or two. I was told it would be a day or two. On 1/20/19 I was contact to schedule delivery and they wanted to deliver it on 1/23/19 which didn't work because we were out of town. I asked if they could deliver it on the 21st or 22nd but was told they were booked. So I reluctantly rescheduled it for 1/25/19. I received my text confirmation on 1/23/19 with a delivery window of 3 - 7 pm on 1/25/19. I replied yes to confirm. On 1/24/19 I received a text stating my delivery time frame has been updated and is now between 12:30 - 4:30pm. The morning of 1/25/19, they called me to tell me that the couch cannot be delivered today because they didn't receive it yesterday like they were supposed to. All of this goes to show that THEY HAVE BEEN LYING the entire time. If in fact the couch was supposed to deliver to the warehouse on 1/18 and they scheduled it on 1/20 (after they had scanned it into the warehouse) and were trying to deliver it on 1/23... how on earth is the couch not there and ready to deliver on 1/25? And why would they say that it was supposed to deliver on 1/24 but they didn't get it. This is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Set realistic expectations and maintain them. As soon as the store opens I'll be cancelling my order and I will NOT be ordering from them again.

I had a bad experience in this store one day me and my family went to the store and we found stools but there were to high on my table,the next day I went to go talk to Vanessa the store manger and she had a bad attitude I explained my problem with the stools and she couldn’t help me on nothing at all and she told me to go sell them somewhere else and to go buy stools from another store I’m letting you guys know when you buy finial sales ask for the warranty never go pick up something at the warehouse because if you make a mistake about what you bought you can’t return nothing back I don’t know what I need to do now but I hope nobody goes through what I went through this Alert with salesperson.
