I would like to preface this review by stating the customer service agent who initially helped me was excellent. Upon purchasing my furniture. The customer representative gave me dates for delivery which worked perfectly. Fast forward, the day before I received the confirmed date and toke frames of delivery. About an hour later I received a cancellation text with no phone or explanation. When trying to call I was prompted with a virtual assistant that DOES NOT give you the option to speak to someone. I requested a phone call back and the person who returned the phone call told me that there was an issue with the product being available so it was pushed out to 2/10/26. Frustrating but things happen so I moved on a dealer’s the next available date which was 2/10/25. Today (2/9/26), I didn’t receive a delivery confirmation so tried to call the store to only be prompted by the virtual assistant which wouldn’t allow an option to speak to a live person. Therefore, I drove to the store and requested to speak to the manager. I explained the issue o the manager and he looked into the computer to see what happened. He offered a date of 2/13/25 in which I explained that with the several delays that has occurred and how this one, I am losing money to pay someone to be at my home to accept the delivery. The manager asked if I would reconsider if they gave me $90 off or so. I asked to cancel the order. Throughout this experience in dealing with the manager he didn’t once apologized or show empathy to the situation. In fact, there was a moment o walked over to look at other items and not once did he try to assist to see if maybe there was something similar I could purchase. Nevertheless, I left and went right over to the furniture store next door and was welcomed in addition to feeling like they wanted to assist. I hope that this message reaches the manager who assisted me today so that he can re-evaluate his role as a leader in the store. As a leader you see the tone for your employees by your leadership and today (maybe it was a bad day) you showed you didn’t care or even express interest in how to make it right or prevent this from occurring in the future.

I really appreciated the associate that helped us Lailah Reyes.She was so very patient and cordial and so very helpful. Because of her kindness and service I will definitely be back in the future.

Juan Avila was amazing he was courteous he met the needs that I had and a shout out to Eric who moved the fireplace around a couple times for me. He was wonderful too excited for my new furniture. I would give them 100 stars but you only let me give them five thank you Ashlee.

We had a great experience with our sales lady. She was awesome, she was very professional and knowledgeable and we felt comfortable working with Lailah..

The sales girl at the store in Montclair tonight, 2/2/26 @ 6pm, with the long black hair should be fired. She approached me at the front door wearing a blanket, draggingit on the floor around her. I told her not to follow me, she still did. I told her several times to leave me alone, I want to shop without her. She persisted. Then she told me I had to leave the store. She told me that several times. I asked someone to get me a Manager. He came, and so did she. I told him to get her away from me or I'm leaving. He had to physically turn her around and walk her away. I spent over $1200 there. I told the salesman, if she says one word to me as I'm leaving, I will cancel the order. She needs to learn that the customer is always right! I had to literally start yelling at her in front of the manager to GET AWAY FROM ME as she back talked! She needs to be reprimanded!!!!!

Jasmine was very helpful, when she couldn’t answer a question her manager joined us to answer questions. Both were very nice. When I needed to Postpone the delivery, the manager reassured me it was not a problem— which was a relief. Also the phone call I received from the delivery coordinator was pleasant and friendly.

It's like going to a car dealership, once you walk in their all waiting to get you to be their customer. All business, not too friendly.

My furniture came damaged or they damaged it in the transition of putting it into the house. I purchased a dining room table with chairs and the table is dented. I called today and now I have to wait for someone to come out and look at it or some type of manufacturer warranty is what I’m being told which is ridiculous

If I can give zero stars I would delivery and Ashley customer service was terrible, they were not very professional delivery only sent two end tables one of them was damaged still trying to resolve that issue, I canceled the double recliner because it was not delivered together. Went to the Montclair store apparently James a manager at the store stated that there was nothing that can be done my whole day was wasted just waiting for the furniture to arrive and all we received was to end tables my suggestion is go to another store once you buy your stuck no returns accepted this per James store manager.

Do not shop at Ashley Furniture if you expect good customer service. I ordered a dining table with assembly included, but when it was delivered, the drivers left it at the door completely unassembled. Trying to reach the store is almost impossible — every call gets routed through an automated system to an outside customer service line, so you can’t actually speak to the store you purchased from. The in-store staff hasn’t been helpful, and the store manager has provided zero proactive communication. Overall, I do not recommend Ashley Furniture if you expect accountability or basic follow-through.

Update...from my experience at the store was excellent but the issue is the delivery date. I purchased a couch and loveseat on 11/28/25 with a delivery date for the following week. I get a call saying that they must reschedule due to warehouse issues and I was rescheduled for the next week. Couple of days before that delivery i get a call saying they only had the loveseat and they can deliver that and on the 12/12 the couch would come in and then they can deliver it on a later date or i can just get it delivered all at the same time. So mind you i pick all at once instead of wasting sitting around waiting on 2 different delivery dates so now i'm scheduled for a delivery date 12/17 just get a call today saying they can deliver the loveseat as scheduled but once again they still don't have the couch and can be delivered on the 21st so now i'm pissed off that i already got rid of my old set and have no furniture in the living room and to top it off my new delivery date is the 23rd right before the holidays so i would not recommend buying from Ashley if you need your furniture by a certain time because their delivery service sucks and every inquiry goes through this animated call center.

Purchased a sectional from this location, big mistake! They changed my delivery day twice and when I finally asked for a refund the associate was rude. He asked for my name typed three keys on his keyboard and told me it was done and I would receive an email. Never received an email because he lied about canceling it! I have no sectional and still haven't received my refund, I've contacted my attorney.

Sooo Disappointed!!! Nice sales people, took our funds very fast, but HORRIBLE delivery process! Waited 2 weeks and they showed up with 1/2 my order & wanted me to sign off when they didn't have record of the other 1/2. After calling customer service and getting the run around, they said nothing could be done. They changed my delivery date to 4-6 weeks. What????? I gave my old couches away!!!! Canceled my order and going back to Living Spaces.

Walked in and was immediately approached by MaryAnn, who at first was very kind and helpful. She helped us find our dining set quickly, and everything started off great. However, the experience changed drastically once we began checking out. While reviewing my order, I noticed that the online delivery fee was $99.99, while the in-store delivery fee was $169.99. As soon as I asked about the price difference, MaryAnn’s attitude changed completely. She rushed through processing my order before even giving me a chance to confirm anything, said “thank you,” and walked away. I had to stop her to ask—again—about the shipping discrepancy. She told me there was nothing she could do and that I needed to speak with customer service, then walked away once more. I had to stop her yet again just to ask where customer service even was. Only then did she briefly point me toward the desk and tell me to ask for GracieAnn. When I arrived at the customer service desk, no one greeted me. I approached GracieAnn and explained the shipping issue. She asked a gentleman next to her, Omar, about price-matching the online delivery fee. Without even checking my screen, he insisted the shipping cost was $169.99. When I showed him the $99.99 price on my phone, he then said that the cheaper price was because it wouldn’t be “white glove” assembled. The look he gave me when he said this was incredibly rude—almost as if he doubted I could assemble a bench myself. Another salesperson, whose name I didn’t catch, chimed in to say that online orders are “just boxes dropped at your door” and nothing assembled. I explained that I was also ordering chairs online and would be assembling those too, so that wasn’t an issue for me. Instead of being helpful, everyone looked annoyed, and when I asked Omar about the price difference, he didn’t respond—he just typed silently for several minutes. Eventually he said I would receive an updated receipt by email. When I asked for a printed copy, he refused and said it would only be emailed. To make the entire experience even worse, a group of four salespeople were arguing loudly with each other right next to the customer service desk the whole time. It felt incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. This was my first and definitely my last time visiting this location. They are friendly when they want your business, but the moment you check out or have a question, the customer service disappears completely. If I could cancel my order and shop somewhere else, I absolutely would. Very unprofessional staff.

From the very start, sales person Mayra made us feel welcome and didn't apply any pressure on us to buy something (what a refreshing change from other stores!). She was knowledgeable; able; and professional. After we described what we were looking for, she lead us to exactly what we had in mind...and, at a fair price! The delivery guy Jose' and his partner were also top notch and went above and beyond because of various problems of setting up a big couch in a small room (i.e. needing to take a door off the hinges in order to get the couch through the door). My experience with Ashley's product and people was truly a great experience from start to finish. I personally will do business with them in the future!

Promised a delivery date of all items. Had to guarantee that I’d be home for this delivery. Got a call a couple days before my delivery to tell me the delivery was delayed by a week. Come original delivery date I received a text that my delivery was on its way. I ordered a table and 6 chairs. They only delivered the table. Called and was told they have no idea who called me to tell me my delivery was delayed and they didn’t have a delivery date for the chairs. Called again days later and am now being told the chairs won’t be delivered for another 8 weeks, minimum. I was assured by the sales person at Ashley furniture that I would have all items by thanksgiving. Now I wont have chairs for thanksgiving or Christmas. I was lied to. This business is shady and will apparently tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sale. I will never shop at Ashley furniture again. Hopefully I can return half my order and find something else so my family can sit at the table together over the holidays.

The Montclair location - 0/5 stars. The Sales associate Roni messed up ordering the couch. She swears she ordered it correctly but TWICE the wrong couch was delivered. DO NOT ACCEPT A WRONG ITEM. Once the delivery team leaves you accept full ownership. Make them take it back on the truck. Do not believe them if they say otherwise. Look up other reviews and Reddit to see what I mean. The customer service people on the phone and from the warehouse were very very kind and down to earth. They understood my frustration and helped me get it resolved even though it took three attempts because of the stores lack of attention to detail from their sales people. Look up the order number online and physically verify it with the sales person before leaving the store. The errors happen so frequently that even their own customer service and warehouse employees were frustrated by the repetitive errors and lack of accountability Montclair employees have. Delivery people were always great and felt upset for me that the store kept ordering the wrong one despite being clear with what was being requested. I can’t speak to the longevity of the product but if another retailer has the same one…. Consider somewhere else or another Ashley’s location.

LIKE BUYING A CAR! Took almost TWO hours to purchase our couch, TWO HOURS. The manager sat there chatting up his receptionist when we need assistance, the salesperson added stuff we didn’t ask for which makes the sale start ALL OVER AGAIN (supposedly ), the delivery date promised was a lie , and it was scheduled for a whole week later than the date promised. On top of that , the deliver window was AWFUL. 11-2pm window turned into 5:45pm making us lose an entire day . Literally, go anywhere else but HERE.

The sales person Roni who helped us was very knowledgeable and knew her job very well. She let us take our time on deciding which mattress we wanted to buy without pressuring us. She was very polite and let us try a lot of different mattresses before we made our final decision on which one to purchase. Roni is a very good sales representative and We will ask for her again when we decide to purchase again from Ashley.

Our sales rep was Juan. He was great patient.! We were the last customers in the store! overall happy with the customer service that day. However, my only issue is two of the drawers to two of our bedroom sets were damaged and it is taking longer than I want for them to Send us new ones and have them replaced.

Luis and James did an excellent job helping me find the sectional I've been wanting for a long time at a great price . They also made the time I spent in the store enjoyable, they kept me laughing.

Absolutely terrible experience. Their customer service is completely unhelpful and impossible to reach. They lack basic customer service skills, after multiple calls and emails, no one took responsibility or offered a real solution. To make it worse, they refuse to issue refunds, even when the product arrives damaged or not as described. I’ll never shop here again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I’m extremely disappointed with Ashley Furniture’s customer service. I returned an item weeks ago and still haven’t received my refund. I’ve contacted customer service multiple times, but only get delays and vague answers. This is unacceptable and has been a frustrating experience.

*Update: Don’t do responses to trick people. Even your solutions email is ignored and no response back till now. I wish giving NEGATIVE stars was an option — one star is far too generous. If you're looking for the absolute worst customer service experience imaginable, Ashley Furniture is unfortunately the place to go. From a nightmare delivery process and unprofessional delivery staff to unhelpful customer service reps and supervisors who seem completely uninterested in resolving anything — it’s been nothing short of exhausting. The in-store staff were eager for the sale, but once that was done, we were completely ignored. No support, no follow-up, no accountability. We’re still fighting to get our refund for an item that they already have back in their possession. How is that acceptable? So they take your money and the product and leave you to fight never ending battles. This whole process has felt like a scam — time-consuming, stressful, and completely unnecessary. It shouldn’t be this difficult to make things right. We truly believed buying in-store would offer better service. Clearly, that was a mistake. No wonder people are turning to online shopping — at least there, poor service isn’t sugarcoated with false promises. No wonder their stores are not surviving and are closing down in different areas. Maybe just maybe they will make things right when get loud enough. This is not how you treat customers. Customers deserve better — and we expect our money back for something you took back. Hope one piece of furniture was worth losing so many customers.

If NEGATIVE stars was an option I would choose that. If you want the absolute WORST customer service you’ve ever experienced then Ashley Furniture is just the right place. From delivery service, to the useless in store customer service, and the 1800 customer service number, it has been the worst experience we’ve ever had. Still fighting to get our money back from an item that they already have back in their possession. Do yourself a favor and find any other furniture store to shop at. UPDATE: don’t waste you time, they don’t even answer the email they claim they will “prioritize and resolve the issue quickly”

I was so excited to receive my table. Drivers set table up and beautiful it was until I started to inspect and what a bummer the table came damaged. There were two noticeable dents with chips on top of table. Driver stated I would receive a call so a technician could come out and try to fix. If he couldn’t they would send me a new table. I feel that’s a hassle. I paid for a brand new table why can’t I get a replacement instead of a fix 😡Table was not cheap either. First you wait sometime to receive your item, and then it arrives damage. Which means you need to wait longer to have it fixed, and if they can’t fix it, you need to wait even longer to receive a new one. Inconvenient!

First of all, I am not sure why there is a phone number to call the store since they NEVER answer the phone. It goes straight to the call center. We purchased a bedroom set from Ashleys. The shopping experience was fine. We got our bedroom set delivered and it was NOT at all the correct color. We refused the order and they took it. There is only one color that they sell, light brown, however the bedroom set we got was a dark brown/orange color. We decided to give them another try and get the set delivered again. We got the WRONG color AGAIN. Ashleys has been telling me they will keep calling me back to see what they can do and they never do, I have to keep calling to see what is going on. I live 45 minutes from the Ashleys so I can't even go and talk to them in person without wasting 2 hours of my life. Super frustrated about how this is handled and the fact I can't even call the store directly is aburd. The first picture is at the store, the set is clearly a light brown color. The set I got is a dark brown/orangey color.

Mike at Ashley Furniture was friendly and helpful with my purchase. The Montclair store is always welcoming and all the associates work together in a professional manner and they all make you feel welcomed.

Update after 9 months 09/07/2025 : Went back to the store to purchase a sofa, once again the salesperson guaranteed a delivery date by even showing us the date and inventory (ensure us that everything is in stock and ready) on her iPad which was a week away as we agree to the date. However, couple days passed, the salesperson contacted us saying now the delivery date needs to be pushed back for another week since one of the piece is on back order, which we once again agreed as a courtesy to the store. Then three days passed, we were contacted by the store manager this time saying now the delivery date is going to be pushed back for a month!! This is when I realize that this entire store was filled with liars and sales talks. The staff has no communication with their warehouse and the in-store system (software) they use was at all not integrated with their inventory system from their warehouse whatsoever. The whole situation just becoming outrageous again and its like the history repeat itself. Once again the store put us in the position where either we cancel the order or just patiently wait for our furniture to arrive, where once again there's absolutely nothing they can do but to let their customer to suffer from their lies and blame shifting. We made a mistake on our end deciding to give Ashley Store another chance and trusting thing can be different this time, even try to explain our bad experience with them before we move forward this time with the salesperson. How wrong was us. 12/07/2024 : The sales person did not mention about anything that is in back order when we were at the store to purchase our furniture. Therefore, we did not know one of the pieces was in back order until the day before the delivery when the delivery person contacted us to inform us about the back order. After the first delivery, we followed up with the store about the back order furniture, and all we got was a customer service person with bad attitude and disrespectfully warning us for additional delivery fee for the back order item, furthermore, we were told that we have to personally contact the delivery company (3rd party) to follow up our back order item and arrange delivery, even worse, the delivery person who used to be responsible for our first delivery deny that he ever saying the second delivery for the back order item would be free even though he clearly promised us through phone call that the second delivery for the back order item would be free. The whole situation was just ridiculous!

Our salesman mike was great. Very polite and helpful. We didn’t notice he ordered a full size bed with a twin mattress till we put it together. We went back to try and fix the issue. The customer service was not good. We told them what the problem was and before I can finish talking the guy pretty much said he couldn’t help me and to call a number. Just rude. And now the customer service number won’t even answer or call me back.

Furniture is good but the workers left some garbage behind! We noticed some scratches and the bedroom wasn’t assembled completely. They will return soon to check the issues and solve them.

Update#2 we called and complained to a manager and we were able to get the dressers and 1 nightstand. We were told we would have the bed and other nightstand by 9/17. So we’re stuck sleeping on the floor for a week or 2. Now today 9/10 I get a call telling me they won’t have the nightstand until 9/30 so they won’t be delivering anything until the earliest 10/3! Will NEVER shop here again. UPDATE: We were scheduled to have our delivery on 9/6. It had been confirmed in store that everything was in stock (we bought the whole set, bed, dresser, chest & 2 nightstands) and via email from the delivery team to be ready for our delivery. The confirmation email states “Please ensure the delivery area is free of any existing furniture” which we’ve now done and due to that we are sleeping on the floor because we thought it would only be a couple days. Now 2 days before the scheduled delivery they call and tell us that they cannot deliver because they’re missing the side rails and it will be at least another 2 weeks! My husband and I are old, we don’t do well sleeping on a floor and having to get up multiple times a night is not easy. We’re really annoyed, frustrated and disappointed in the service after we had had such a great experience with Mike in store. Mike was fantastic. I loved that he was very informative but did not hover or push us into something. We will definitely purchase from him again if we need anything else.

I recently visited Ashley Furniture July 28, 2025 roughly from 6:30 pm to 7:20 pm and had a wonderful experience thanks to Aurora Hernandez. From the moment we walked in, Aurora greeted us with warmth and professionalism. She helped us pick out a sleeper couch and was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive throughout the entire process. She truly exceeded our expectations and made the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. However, as we were leaving, I witnessed something that left a bad impression. A heavy-set older Caucasian male, who I believe is the manager, was yelling at Aurora in a very rude and unprofessional manner—right on the showroom floor. It was completely uncalled for and uncomfortable to witness, especially after receiving such excellent service from her. That kind of behavior, especially in front of customers, is not acceptable and unfortunately tainted what would have been a 5-star experience. Aurora deserves recognition, not mistreatment, and I hope management at this location seriously addresses the way employees are spoken to and treated. I will be calling to report him as well.

I spent $5000.00, on furniture which included a sofa chair. The chair was defective and they refuse to honor their warranty. By the way, they added the extended protection warranty without my consent. But that didn’t help either! Costco Furniture Store is a better experience

We purchased 2 end tables. We picked them up in Colton and brought them home to assemble. 1 end table is fine but the second end table is not as it is damaged. We immediately called the number to call if there are any issues. We were told to take pictures and send to them. We have not heard anything from them and are very disappointed in the customer service department. Buyers beware!

The sales person was very helpful, however their internal system is lacking. After updating my data to a new address on the sales persons tablet the purchase order still reflected the old address. I asked that it be corrected and a new copy be presented. It was only half done because the purchase address and delivery address were different. All this after I handed the person behind the desk a written address. In addition, the phone number on the account was not mine. What a mess!! When I returned home I called the 800 number, and I was connected to a customer service person in the Philippines. That’s all together another story.

Provide us enough information on what we’re looking for. Allow us the try sitting on the chairs to feel the comfort it can do for us. She does not push on selling extras (ex: warranty). We recently bought dining room chairs here and had a great experience. The store has a very good selection of beds, sofas, dining room sets and more. The store is well laid out and very clean. The staff is helpful but not overbearing. The woman who helped us was very knowledgeable and showed a lot of patience with our indecisiveness! The chairs were just delivered by a very friendly employee. They gave us a four-hour window and called once to say they were 30 minutes away and then again to tell us they were arriving.

I shopped 10 other furniture stores and came up dry. I went to Ashley as a last stop and thankfully Mike was a wonderful help! I was able to get everything I needed at a great price. I found other stores had poor quality wood and either tiny couches or extremely large couches. Mike was able to help me find the exact fit and quality I was looking for. Highly recommend this location and asking for him!

Super disappointed in the service and product. Accent cabinet was delivered with missing shelves, hardware and a door that was a completely different color than the other 3 doors. They are making me wait 2 weeks for a technician to come look at it so I can get a whole new cabinet.

I received good help throughout my purchase. However, when I got home and looked up my purchase on Ashley.com the item was $100 less. I did not want to pay for shipping so they gave me a 10% discount off of floor price. When they adjusted for the $100 price difference they removed the 10% discount. So instead of giving me full value of $100 price difference they readjusted everything and sent me $33.07. I won't be shopping with Ashley again!

Ashley Stores in Montclair, California has been my family’s go-to store for furniture lately. We have purchased couches from them the past 3 times. The associates aren’t too sharkish but will be persistent to dig for our needs and take their time with us when we just want to try everything out. This time we were helped by Dan. We learned his story about being in furniture sales all his life and it showed with his knowledge and sales offers. We gave him a challenge to how we wanted a couch for the family but also have it small dog friendly where our dog can jump on the back and not permanently reshape pillows or destroy the fabric. He told us what to look for and what to avoid and found a deal for a couch unit at the price we were willing to pay for one sofa. Delivery was quick and communication was quick and was given a follow up. When a store puts customer service their first priority it makes us ready to return in the future for more rooms to treat. 10/10

My wife and I agreed to go shopping at the Ashley furniture store in Montclair CA …it was President’s Day. We were warmly greeted near the front of the store by Mary Ann (Alvarez). We had pre-shopped on line so I had pics of 2 styles of sofas and loveseats on my phone that I inquired about. Mary Ann was very cordial and informative… she took us directly to look at several sets of the styles we were interested in. We were sold on the first set even though we browsed a few others sets. Mary Ann took us to checkout station kiosk and she processed our order very quickly, all the while engaging in informative details and exchanging personal tidbits about our personal lives and experiences. Our furniture is due in about 2 weeks (which we knew from online info) so we are eagerly awaiting our purchase. Quality of furniture is good. How ever they did a bad job in delivering. I ordered multiple items in a single delivery to my new home. Delivery did not come on time, and the unprofessional delivery team did a lot of wall damages which deserved 1 star.

Aurora was kind and helpful. My only complaint is that an item was added to our final bill that we did not approve. We thought the final price seemed high, so we looked at the itemized bill. A mattress protector was added on for $109.00 that we never discussed during the transaction, and the price of the mattress rang up for $100 more than was posted in the store. These items were corrected, but she told us that the mattress protector is automatically added on to all mattress sales. This is an item that should be offered to the customer, but not added to the bill without customer knowledge.

While Mary Anne was perfectly lovely and helped us get a new couch (that was to be delivered today 12/17) but unfortunately AFTER I got rid of my couch and 50 minutes before my delivery window started I got a call indicating that because one of the 5 pieces of the couch was on back order that I wouldnt see it for 2 weeks and would not do a partial delivery. I paid $6500 for this couch and waited 2 weeks after purchase for delivery to be told the day of that it wasnt coming. EDIT: It took me 3 weeks and a BBB complaint to get someone to hear me but Ashley corporate did hear me out and properly compensate me for the issue. Also-The email I sent as requested went unanswered

Tell you to buy warranty for free delivery and set up, come to find out 2 of the items will be shipped via UPS and will need assembly upon arrival. Told items will be delivered together, come to find out 1 item delivered and other will arrive in 7-10 days after scheduled delivery date.

I was told my end tables were going to be put together and they arrived h assembled! I tried calling by no one answers the phone and so I feel ripped off!!! Stay away from Ashley

Not great when furniture is delivered with damaged orders. It takes them more than one visit to figure out what damages are. Even though they ask for pictures.

Worst customer service experience ever experienced. We purchased over $7,000.00 worth of furniture at this store in Montclair. When we received our sofa and loveseat, the loveseat was damaged. We were told that a new loveseat would be delivered. Because we needed our new sofas for the Thanksgiving holiday due to our guests, we thought we would get our new loveseat fairly soon. We were given 3 different delivery dates, which were after the holiday. We had already gotten rid of our previous sofas to accommodate room for the new ones. We tried getting this resolved with the management team, but all we got was really bad attitude. Omar had an annoyed attitude and didn’t care much to go the extra mile for the customer. We left various messages for Julio the store manager and never received a call back. We’re still waiting for a call back and it’s been 2 weeks.When my husband went to the store to speak to him, he blamed my husband for the delivery not happening. Both my husband and I had to personally go to the store to try and get some help and we were told that the delivery dates were backed up due to Black Friday. We should have been put at the top of the delivery list since our sofa was damaged upon delivery. We received no help whatsoever from this management team and their lack of compassion was ridiculous. Don’t spend your money at this store because once they get your money and have issues, you won’t get any help. Buy your furniture at a store that cares for the customer. We finally called the corporate office and currently have a case open regarding this incident. When asked, Omar refused to give me the phone number to Julio’s boss or the corporate number to complain or at least try to get some help. very bad experience. I order all my furniture for my home here. 1) the bed frame delivered damaged. They shipped out new part to me without putting the correct address. I contacted the customer service and stayed on the line for an hour just for her to tell me that there’s nothing she can do and hung up one me with no follow-ups. 2) the couch and coffee table delivery keeps getting delayed. I ordered it on Oct 12th, and it’s been three weeks. The salesman told me he couldn’t do anything. I called customer service, and the lady had a very bad attitude saying that it’s not her fault, and I can cancel the items?! No one in the whole experience provided me with a solution.

My salesperson was very patient with me and informative. She took her time finding what I wanted and what I really liked is if she didn't have the answer she would get It. I forgot Her name but I will be going back because of her.

Very unfortunate experience with Ashley’s! Items of furniture were delivered and were not functioning. Took Ashley’s months to arrange engineers to make multiple trips to not fix the items. They offered replacement, at which point the item had been discontinued (probably because it was so error prone). Ashley’s then refused a refund as it was out of the “time frame”, even though the item was broken from the point of delivery. All in all very unsatisfactory, and I will not be using Ashely’s again moving forward.

Missing parts to a bed been three weeks still haven't received those missing parts. This is the second time I've had a situation with Ashley's when it comes to their bedroom sets or living room sets.

We love our new couch and recliner and corner self !! Our salesman was fantastic and we got delivered and set up no problems

I purchased a bedroom set with night stands last week of July and delivered first week of August . When they delivered them , I realized the box springs and the mattress would make the bed too high. I returned the box springs. It took almost 3 weeks to get a refund. The customer service experience was really bad The nightstands came with plug in LED lights . One of them had a problem with the electrical cord and won’t turn on. They sent a guy to repair it and the guy said I need a new plug in cord. He arranged to have a replacement cord delivered to my place . It is now the end of October and I have yet to receive the cord. I had such a bad experience with this Store.

Poor Customer Service at Ashley Furniture Montclair After a terrible experience at another Ashley Furniture location, I reached out to the Montclair store, hoping they could help resolve the issue. I called and explained the situation, and they assured me they would call back—but they never did. I followed up again, and once more, they promised to call me back but still didn’t follow through. The lack of communication and accountability was really disappointing. If you’re considering Ashley Furniture, I’d recommend going somewhere else where they actually value their customers’ time and provide better service.

I was better off ordering from Amazon...I kept calling the store to find out a lame excuse that the store manager was the only one opening that she will get back to me by via email.... It was obvious the sales person was inexperienced and just sold us what he could to get a sale. Armon and the store manger were no help and just wasted time to not even help with the issue. My experience at the store was very nice don't get me wrong, but when you buy and pay for delivery, pay close attention. They have 2 options and they do not explain anything about that. One is called doorstep delivery and costs about $150 The other one is called premium, and it costs doble, about $300. When you pay premium they suppose to assembly for you whatever they are delivering. In my case, I didn't need assembly. I talked about this with the sales representative. I specifically asked him if they had other cheaper option (because at the time I did not know about the doorstep one) He said no and charged me with the $300. Today when I received the order, the delivery person explained that they charged me with premium delivery, and I needed to wave the right to get the assembly service. Right there is when I learned they charged me wrong. Delivery guy did not assemble anything, and he told me I had to call the store to get reimbursed. After I tried, now they are saying that because they put the thing inside the garage in boxes it is considered assembly and they won't reimburse anything. I feel I have been taken advantage of. No one ever explained to me what way worked and I had to learn this way. It's a shame, and I'm very disappointed.

We came to this store to purchase a sofa bed. The experience in store was great. Salesperson was great, it was a nice experience. We had our sofa delivered on February 13th. We didn’t use the sofa bed right away. A couple weeks passed by and we started using it a few times to see how it felt, because we have family coming in from out of town soon who will be using it. After a couple uses we noticed this loud sound whenever we would put the sofa bed back in. There was an obvious bend in the mechanism that was impacting the frame whenever we would Push it in. I have pictures to reference the spot because it is obviously damaged. We contacted Ashely furniture and told them we are unhappy with the quality of the product and honestly didn’t want the couch anymore (if we have issues with something only after a couple uses we knew something else would be bound to go wrong). Despite our dissatisfaction with the product we allowed them to just replace the mechanism. Two techs arrived with a whole new mechanism and replaced it. Fine. While they were still in our home, we noticed a black grease stain on the back of our couch that WAS NOT there before. One of the techs must’ve brushed a tool or had dirty hands and dirtied our couch when they were moving it. They didn’t admit to it l, but on my daughters lives, we know for a fact we didn’t somehow being grease into our home and dirty it. My husband also inspected the couch before this arrived to make sure there were no imperfections on the fabric because we didn’t know exactly what the outcome of their visit was going to be. We also told them we were dissatisfied with the quality of the product and wanted to either have a refund or store credit for another product. We were still willing to do business with this company. They said they didn’t have any say in anything and were just here to repair the product. Once the men left the moment we sat on the couch it made this horrible creaking sound. Like sitting on an air mattress/old piece of creaky furniture. This did NOT happen with the first mechanism. The couch also dips in so much since the mechanism was replaced. The couch is embarrassing to sit on. My mother sat on the couch and immediately asked what was wrong with it because of how loud it is when you sit on it. We contacted Ashely furniture again (mind you it is impossible to get someone on the phone at these places). They stated the next step is to have a technician come and inspect the product to see if it is defective. The tech came around on the 27 and my husband sat in the couch to show him, and was going to pull out the bed to show him the bed and he told he it was not necessary he knew exactly what he meant and was going to make his report to get everything taken care of. He didn’t even bother cleaning the stain because he said he knew that it would be taken care of and we wouldn’t be keeping the couch. We received an email that same day stating the they need to send a tech for a second opinion. WHAT?!? A second opinion for what reason? The tech didn’t do his job correctly? We are so over having to deal with this store. We have spoken with numerous employees at the store (managers) who say there is no way of contacting anyone at their corporate office unless they email them, and they apparently have no control or can approve any refunds/returns/credits through the store. I don’t understand how such a big company does not take care of their customers when they are selling crap products. This is a persons hard earned money that is basically going to waste. We are extremely reasonable people, and were still willing to go back and shop there. We have contacted the BBB and if they do not resolve this problem will file a dispute with our credit card company and take this sofa back to the store ourselves and sit outside with it and make sure no one shops with them. And now we have to wait for yet another technician to come around and confirm what the first tech should’ve done We literally just want a refund at this point and want nothing to do with this store!

UPDATED REVIEW the purchasing process was nice, But after that was a mess. One of our items got delayed and after waiting for it we decided to cancel the item that we did not receive. After calling it in and speaking to the manager he proceeded to cancel our order and said to wait for the refund. 1 week later they deliver the item without telling us. When we called back about our refund we were told we cant return the item even though we had it cancelled. Such poor customer service from the store. We will not he shopping here again

The Montclair store is a great place to shop at for furniture with plenty of variety to choose from. The customer service is excellent! Thanks for helping us Maher and Daniel 😁

Great experience! Mike, our sales associate that helped us, even moved furniture around in store for my wife and I to visually see if we liked the contrast of different sets. They worked with us on price and were very fair.

My experience was not a good one. I purchased 6 chairs and picked them up at the warehouse. When I got home I unboxed them to find that one of the chair legs was broken, I called the warehouse as it states to do on the paperwork and they referred me back to the store I purchased the chairs from. After repeated calls someone finally answered and informed me that they would open a “case” since I picked them up and did spend the additional $100 to be delivered, and that they would get back to me in 24-48 hours. After 24 hours I called for an update and no one at the store answered, I called 6 times. The next day I called again 6 times with no answer I decided to call customer service which did me no good because they told me I had to call the store. The customer service agent called the store with me on the phone 3 times with no answer. At which point they tried to just dismiss me. I kept searching the internet until I found another corporate customer service number. This person who was an escalating agent finally was able to try to help me. She even called the store with no answer. She was finally able to speak with her supervisor and they informed me that because I had called within the 72 hour period I could get the chair replaced. She inputted notes and informed me to go back to the warehouse. At the warehouse the intake worker tried to tell me that I had to contact the store, I repeatedly ask to speak to a supervisor and explained the situation and gave her the case number and she was able to look everything up and help me. Sad that I purchased the chairs in Montclair,ca had to go through multiple customer service and finally corporate in Florida helped me, only to go back to Colton, ca to pick up a replacement chair. Meanwhile I have never heard back from the store In Montclair. Horrible experience will not purchase anything from Ashley again.

The bed we purchased when for our dream bed turned into a nightmare. Due to game played by the staff we had to cancel our mattress. Ashley play game with the refund and has not paid the full refund. The mattress cover, we never received yet still paid for. Customer service say we need to call the store of purchase, but the store never picks up the phone. We contact the sell clerk and the said they would have the store manager call us, but have not yet even attempted to call us after several messages. I would suggest stay away from purchasing anything here. Will some from the corporate office please contact us.

After dealing with horrible service from Mathis Brothers by a rep who led us completely astray and essentially messed up our financing application she reset how we felt about the furniture purchasing process and we could not be happier by her and the teams hospitality.

I bought two leather sofa. But one feather sofa‘s armrest bottom was torn in delivery. I worried that the torn place would be larger and larger！But the sofa is too heavy， I don't know how to return or exchange it！

The worse service ever the merchant is garbage . The couches are bad the sink inn they sag. Customer service is bad they don’t follow up leave messages they don’t call back the manager Julio Mejia is a liar. Promises to call back and never follows with his word. I purchased two set of couches in less than one year and I Having issues they won’t do anything about it they keep sending technicians the day one thing we’re going to make notes and come . They never do I have to call them back take 2 hours . Then I call Julio he ignores my calls. The worse furniture place ever ! I would go to living space’s or bobs a lot cheaper and better customer service.All around BAD !!

Came in with the intent to just look around. As soon as we entered we were warm welcomed by Mike! Awesome salesman approached with a smile and great attitude. Found exactly what we wanted, Mike was just one wave away to help us check out. Check out was super smooth and easy with Mike! 10/10 recommend Mike as your salesmen!!

I would never make another purchase at Ashley, horrible experience. And the staff here are NOT helpful or friendly. I purchased a sofa set and the loveseat was damaged. I called the store numerous times and no one would help me. Eveyone accused me of lying. I had to report to better buisness bureau. 1st tech came said he could fix sticking and stuffedbthe couch it look deformed, said the frame was fine. 2nd tech said stiching is damaged cannot be fixed opened bottome of couch frame was broken ! Thereafter a replacement was issued and 3 attempts were made. Each time it was obvious the sofas were used and each were damaged as well. I was told it was a VIP delivery and these sofas were un boxed so they can be inspected. Which was a lie!! All had broken frames. I insisted on a boxed replacement and on the 4th delivery ironically the boxed new couch was not damaged. Don't buy from this store they follow you like vultures in the store but when you need help they don't care and lie to you . I spoke with Daniel, Scott, and was "told" they were going to initiate a manager to call me Gary. NO call back no help! Overall Ashley is a horrible company.store level, customer service level, I have been a customer for years. They definitely lost my buisness.

Very disappointed. Was kept in the dark for a while because the driver “lost” my rug. My mother was really upset because it was a Christmas present and we didn’t get it unit a fews later. The lady that told me to call her picked up once then the next couple of times I called she did not pick up or call me back… just disappointed overall with my experience.
