Purchased furniture in June. Delivered in September. Couch arrived with missing arm and no legs. When I went back to the Montclair CA store I was advised that they have a NO RETURN POLICY. First I was told of this. I established a case number for an exchange. Was told by store rep exchanges are handled by corporate office and they would call me with THREE weeks. Got tired of waiting and after 2 weeks I called, spoke to someone. I was told by very nice person that the store should have handled the exchange. Returned to Montclair store and spoke to same person. He disagreed with what I was told. He then said he had to get a manager's signature and forward the request to a local location to start the process. Said it would take 2 days........5 days later, still waiting for his call. Back to the store I go. Moral of the story? Don't buy from Ashley
Ordered an item in August, was supposed to get it in September, the item was never delivered. There was no call, no email. Spent a week trying to get it rescheduled for delivery, even though Ashley’s should be reaching out to me for them dropping the ball. Now I can’t even get my furniture till the end of October. Very disappointed in this company. Once they have your money they don’t care about you after that.
Purchased a couch a month ago and still haven't received anything. They told us it was back ordered and when I called again for an update they extended the date of delivery even more. It bothers me that this is the first time we decided to splurge on a nice couch but the service has been terrible with over 30+ min wait times just to get someone on the phone and with reps that "transfer" you but end up making you start from the beginning to talk to a representative. Its honestly has been such a hassle just to get an idea of when we will get it because their online website for this service is down and so our only option is to call them and wait. On top of it all, we paid for delivery $160 and come to find out they offer free delivery online. I suggest go to a different retail store that will actually match the service of what you pay for.
It's a great store, unless you want to buy furniture and actually receive it. Save your money, they have nothing in stock. You can complain and they will block your number. You can complain in the store and they will make empty promises to get you to leave. If you complain enough, you might get a bit of money back, but don't count on it. So, shop at a place that wants your business and delivers your stuff.
My husband and I recently went to Ashley furniture and had a great experience. They had excellent furniture quality and great furniture selections to choose from. We were helped by Denise. She is helpful and easy to talk to. The whole process was a breeze. We’ll for sure come back for future purchases.

there was lack of communication within the store and warehouse, couldn't get a hold of store, had to drive out to store twice and with two different managers due to our dining set was not Delivered as scheduled, they made promises that didn't happen, also tried to charge us twice for the Delivery - just FYI: the persons that Delivered it was great, I hope they got paid as discussed
Save yourself the hassles and headaches by NOT shopping at this store! They'll take your money in a flash but if you need to return anything, you're out of luck. Go to another store like Living Spaces, Mathis Brothers, or a small Mom & Pop furniture store instead. Heck even a yard sale! We bought a four piece entertainment center. Each piece was charged as an individual item since you could buy any of the pieces that you wanted. The salesman (Chris) was quick to ring us up and sign the receipt. The set was delivered a few weeks later. Once I assembled the first three parts, we realized we didn't need the fourth piece. We never opened the box for that part. I called customer service and the Rep gave me a return claim number and said someone would call back within 24-48 hours to arrange to have it picked up. Six days later I called back since we never got a call. I left a message since I was on eternal hold. Never got a call back that time either. Two days later, I called customer service again and this Rep said I needed to call the store I purchased it from. I called the store only to be on eternal hold again. I called the original salesman and told him the situation. He said he would look into and get back to me. Three days later I sent him a message asking for an update and he didn't reply. Four days later I called the store and asked to speak to the manager and was placed on hold. Fifteen minutes later I heard the phone get picked up and then I was hung up on. I ended up driving to the store to return the piece. The Rep I spoke to said they didn't accept returns. I told her we were never told about this return policy. I explained everything to her and she said that the back of the receipt "contract" explained their return policy and said when I signed and initialed the receipt, I was acknowledging that I had read the entire contract. This contract is the typical tiny font with a ton of words crammed onto a standard sheet of paper. This Rep told me only "Corporate" could authorize a return and they rarely authorize returns. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said he wouldn't be able to help me since that was the store policy. Seems like they just blow everyone off that tries to return anything. While I was waiting at the store to talk to a Rep, there was another customer ahead of me who was told the same thing I was told. Unfortunately this Ashley Store only cares about getting your money and nothing else. We will never shop at any of their stores again.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! THE SALES TEAM ARE ALL ABOUT MONEY KNOWING YOU WON'T GET YOUR ORDER FOR TWO MONTHS OR MORE. I ordered a living room set and kitchen dining set two MONTHS ago. I was told by the sales rep the order had to come in two deliveries due to the warehouse shortage. I was guaranteed to have my order by Sept 5th. On September 3rd I get a call stating all items were not yet available so they will push delivery back to today. Today the delivery truck informed me all items still arent available and to contact dispatch. Dispatch tells me I have to wait until October 4th. I said I want my money back and was told they could only do a partial refund because they delivered ONE item last month. They told me it could take 2-3 weeks to process the refund. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. IT WILL TAKE MONTHS TO GET YOUR ITEMS.

Mara the Sales Associate was helpful in finding items We were looking for. She was able to assist us in finding items we had seen in other Ashley furniture locations that were not in this particular store. When it came to paying, it was a bit different vibe. We inquired which items qualified for the Labor Day discount. She said all of them. We requested to know the price for the items and we would get blunt answers. She kept saying that she didn’t put the prices, that the system would. We had more items to purchase but once inquiring the pieces amount we decided not to get all the items that we intended. There was a sofa that was charging two different pieces. We only needed a small sofa for our second living room inside the kitchen so I wanted to make sure we weren’t purchasing the loveseat as well. The manager was helpful in calling to make sure. It resulted in the sofa coming in pieces in a box. We didn’t want to pay $140 for assembly for only 1 item out the 5 we were purchasing. She told us our total and it seemed higher than our calculations. We inquired and she reiterated that she didn’t put the prices, the system did. We asked the price for a particular item we were purchasing. She said she couldn’t check until after we paid. Long story short, we were overcharged $80 for a sofa table. The system was charging $250 for a table that stated $220 original price online. And was now on discount for $170. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get it cleared out and get out refund. Something that could have been avoided before hand.
