I walked into the store today looking for a dresser drawer for my bedroom. I was helped immediately by Gyselle M and she showed me several options across the floor. Her customer service and professionalism was remarkable and I would go back to the Ashley Furniture Montclair location again. I did buy a dresser drawer that same day and I plan on going back very soon for a few more items.
Our salesman Sal was so nice. He took his time with us and was very personable. I appreciated his patience.

Very disappointed, they keep back ordering our furniture. We were told that the next one to arrive would be ours,and that it would arrive 3 weeks ago
So I ordered the complete living room set. First they told me it was gonna be delivered on July 1st. Mind you I ordered my stuff 5-29. Didnt hear from them all of the month of June realized my email was wrong so called and my order was pushed back till 25th of July. Due to a couple of items being out of stock. Let them know I couldn't wait till the end of July for my living room set. Then they bumped me till the 11th of July. Had to call the next day because 2 items were not delivered still .
I wish i could give zero stars. My parents bought a furniture set and it was a disaster! They paid extra money to have it delivered and installed (setup) and look at attached photos! They couldn't set up their own items! The installer has to "Jerry Rig" the drawr to keep it from falling over. Parents called same day and spent an hour on the phone to be told nothing can be done until the "truck" came back. Parents then went the next day and were told nothing could be done as the manager was unavailable. My parents went back again on 08/01/21 and spent an hour in the store before talking to a manger. My parents simply want their money back and they are declining them saying they can only give store credit. Horrible store avoid if possible material is cheap and service is horrible. We will be looking at this legally to get fully compensated.
HORRIBLE CUSTUMER SERVICE!. They will treat you extremely well when you are there; ofcourse trying to make you purchase. Good luck trying to reach them for ANYTHING once you walk out the store. The1-1800 number can't help you with any purchase made in store, you have to call the store where you made your purchase. BUT HOW? They will not answer the phone. Originally when I purchased they told me my furniture would be delivered in a months time. This was perfect as it gave me time to get rid of old furniture and prepare for my delivery. A week later they called saying they had my order ready and could deliver the next day! NO!!! I was not prepared for delivery. I had no space. Id kid you not, they called every 3 days attempting to get me to agree to an earlier delivery date. Very frustrating. Fast forward to my actual delivery date, I get a phone call saying they will only deliver partial order. RIDICULOUS! They delivered one couch and said I now had to wait an entire month for the love seat to be delivered because it was on back order. This after they called over 10 times attempting to deliver my order prior to what we agreed on
This store is HORRIBLE. 5 hours LATE ON THEIR DELIVERY. They came at 10PM at night. Absolutely inappropriate. Not to mention complete disregard for healthcare workers during the pandemic as I was woken up by a 10PM delivery. Delivering at NIGHT is inappropriate in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. Table was also damaged upon delivery so they had to send it back. Still have not heard back from customer service. AVOID THIS STORE.
I am so disappointed with this furniture place we came back in April we bought sectionals we never got them we called the store multiple times and we’re told that they don’t know when we are getting them that it’s just an estimate time so we went back two weeks ago since it’s July already we cancelled and chose different ones now our delivery was supposed to be for today July 18 and all of a sudden their truck broke down now I have to wait longer for my couches I am so disappointed !!!!
Recently purchased a dining room table & Chairs. It has been a nightmare from day one. They can not get my order straight and kept changing my delivery date and time several different times. I would NEVER buy anything from Ashley Furniture Store ever. Apparently they do not know what Customer Service means. A bunch of idiots….
I had to delete my good review. I was completely fooled by the team during my purchase! They treat you like royalty when purchasing. I had no idea their words were empty. When I was buying my stuff I was told if I didn’t like the way one of my furniture pieces looked or maybe the couches weren’t that comfortable I could exchange or return them. EXCEPT THE MATTRESS. they were clear on that no doubt. I agreed as I didn’t mind that. But had they told me that EVERYTHING IS FINAL SALE AFTER DELIVERY. then there’s no way I’d go For that. As is items and final clearance I get because you know what you’re getting into. I asked if I could return a brand new bed frame that was just delivered to me. It didn’t look that great, customer service told me I couldn’t and had to eat the money. I also didn’t realize how overcharged I was. Paid $250 for a pillow and didn’t know it was $110 online. They wouldnt match that since I already have it in my home. How does that make sense? My advice is checking the online price right when buying so they could match it. But realistically I’d say don’t even shop here. They’re liars and say whatever just to make the sale. They really need to disclose that when you make a purchase. Such nonsense. I can’t trust a company who does that. If I could take it all back I would but I’m clearly stuck with everything that was delivered. BUYERS BEWARE. The manager didn’t care about my situation and simply said. It’s due to Covid. Like what?! Don’t start using that excuse! It’s due to Covid you teach your employees to lie to customers?
Would not recommend. It was hard to get through with a wheelchair, not enough room. The salesperson (rosanna? Roseanne? She didn't introduce herself) walked very fast even after I told her it was difficult to maneuver. She showed us the most expensive mattresses, then we found out it wasn't available in the size we wanted. She should be familiar with the merchandise. We told her we wanted to check other places first and asked her for a card. She sort of looked through a folder, then walked away. Very rude. When we told other salespeople we were having trouble with the wheelchair, they just laughed. Not sure what was funny. Overall, horrible experience. Will never be back.
This was the worst experience ever...not to drag this out too much but there is so many bad details to mention first delivery customer service rep was rude n very unprofessional regarding my damaged/defective bed set....she acted as if it was my fault they delivered defective product....5 more deliveries later still unable to get me a bed set that was not defective ....each one they brought was worse then the one before ...finally went into the store spoke to a man who called himself a manager but obviously does not know how to be a manager DAVID, after discussing our ordeal he offered to compensate us 300$ off our 2200$ order which we said that was fine n we would be on our way but then he said oh u paid off the bill already ..I'm not quite sure how to process the refund for compensation ...I will figure it out and call you tomorrow that was a month ago..never heard from him. I called their corporate office and they pretty much told me to jump in a lake to deal with the store....very sad to see people in a business just take your money and not care...but it taught me a valuable lesson...NEVER SHOP ASHLEY'S AGAIN.
