Abraham was amazing — thank you for the excellent help. Yolanda was very sweet, but I think she could use a bit more sales training. I understand they were short on managers, but during the holiday season there really should be additional management on the floor. Thank you..

Great Experience purchasing from Ashley Furniture in Oxnard. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. I didn't feel pushed to make a decision, but more importantly I felt valued as a customer throughout the whole interaction. Johnny Alejo did help me to decide and walked with us answering all our questions, suggesting matches and offering the payment options.

I purchased a couch from Ashley of Oxnard in late October. After three attempts, they have still not delivered the correct couch. Customer service has been rude and unwilling to resolve the issue, continually responding that only the store can assist me. The store will not take my calls. Patricia Riveria, the sales person who sold me the couch, blown me off. The manager Abraham that she asked me to call will not pick up the phone after our first polite conversation. The last time Ashley was here, they removed the first incorrect couch and abandoned it in front of my house, blocking my walkway, because we refused the next incorrect couch. The driver became so irrationally enraged he attempted to dolly the next incorrect couch into my house. When my elderly mother told him to stop and that he didn't have permission to take the incorrect couch in the house, he threatened her and then stated he was leaving to old couch in the yard just so it would cause a problem and cost us money to remove it. Ashley has done nothing to retrieve this abandoned couch and will not take this disaster off my credit, even though I do not currently have any of their merchandise. This has been a horrible situation, an absolute nightmare. Ashley apparently was sold to a hedge fund, and this is the new business model. I wish I had never set foot in the showroom. This has been a disaster. Do not buy from Ashley, they are not the company they were 18 months ago. I wish I could give negative stars. 11/28/2025 Update: I received your response, checked my spam and missed calls and there is no attempt on your showroom or sales staff's part to find a reasonable and fair resolution to this awful situation. I did not include my phone number or email in this post, so exactly how did you respond to me directly? I take your meager attempt at public damage control on google to be insulting, however not surprising. I recommend you speak with Patricia and Abraham, they have heard from me, however refused to resolve this situation. This has continued to be the worst purchasing experience of my life, if I could give more negative stars, I would.

Furniture is good, but bad customer service. They are great at selling you a product, but when you spend A lot of money in furniture and try to return something, they are not willing to work with you. I will look at other companies for my furniture needs.

I am writing to report a serious issue that occurred at your Oxnard location involving your employee, MD. My mother and I visited the store near closing time, and from the moment we arrived, he followed us closely and pressured us throughout the process. We explained multiple times that we were still in construction and were not ready to purchase. I personally told him 2–3 times that we planned to return once our construction was completed. Despite this, MD insisted that we should buy the couch now because we would have up to three months to return or exchange it. He repeated this several times and reassured us not to worry. Based on his statements, we proceeded with the purchase. However, MD placed the wrong order, even though my mother and I repeated our request multiple times: NO CHAISE — only five seat pieces with the correct left-side arm when facing the couch. He told us, “Don’t worry, I’ve got it,” even after I asked again what we could do if the piece arrived incorrect. Once again he assured us we had 3 months to exchange it. Unfortunately, we later discovered that we do not have that return or exchange window, and his statements were completely false. We essentially fell victim to his high-pressure sales tactics at closing time, and the result is an incorrect and expensive order. When we contacted the store, the supervisor, Abraham, was not helpful. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or attempting to resolve the issue, he defended the employee and said there was nothing he could do, telling us to contact customer service. This is extremely disappointing, especially because the error was entirely due to MD’s misinformation. This situation has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, and we expect a resolution based on the incorrect information given to us by your employee.
