Bought a reclining sofa, set a date for delivery, had the old sofa hauled away and the new one delivered the next day. Smooth as silk. Delivery was tracked and reported to me. They arrived, hustled, assembled the twin reclining sofa and were outta here in about 5 minutes. Bam!

Absolutely one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. I am not exaggerating when I say: do NOT buy from Ashley’s Furniture. I purchased a full bedroom set valued at over $4,000 and paid an additional $400+ for professional delivery and installation. The sales process was smooth — and that’s where the positive experience ended. Delivery day was a disaster. The installers arrived 4–5 hours late (scheduled for noon, showed up closer to 5 PM). They were visibly rushed and careless. In that rush, they completely broke the headboard, chipped and dented multiple pieces, installed drawer rails backwards, left out screws, and damaged two drawers. When I tried to open one, it literally began falling apart. The workmanship looked like it had been done by a child — not a paid professional installation team. To make matters worse, they attempted to rush out and have me sign paperwork stating everything was fine. Only after I carefully inspected the damage did they acknowledge the issues and tell me to “file a claim.” Customer service then assigned a case and sent a technician — a month later. We had no choice but to sleep on a broken bed during that time. The technician confirmed the damage and ordered a new headboard and replacement drawers. Two to three months passed before parts arrived. The second visit: headboard replaced — but no drawers. They “forgot” to order them. Another 2–3 months passed. Third visit: wrong parts were ordered. At this point, it has been over SIX MONTHS since the purchase (bought in August, now end of February). We have continued making payments on time for a defective product. The drawers remain unusable. No fourth appointment is scheduled. No correct parts have been ordered. When we contacted customer service again, they claimed the case was closed and could “reopen it.” I requested a reasonable solution: send the correct drawers and issue a partial refund for selling a defective product and for the failed installation service — I would repair it myself at this point. Their offer? 10% off. Roughly $150–$200. That doesn’t even cover the botched installation fee — let alone the six months of inconvenience, damage, and frustration. This has been an exhausting, unacceptable experience from start to finish. The quality control is poor. The installation was careless. The follow-up service was incompetent. The resolution process has been dismissive. If I could give negative stars, I would. Save yourself the time, stress, and money. Shop elsewhere. Even IKEA provides better quality control and far superior customer service than what we experienced here. Ashley’s Furniture has completely lost my trust and future business.
