Seriously the worst furniture buying experience ever, and 1st and last purchase from Ashley Homestore know Natomas. Went in early afternoon Sunday 1/5 and purchased a king mattress and bed in store. We opted to save some money on the delivery by picking up our order from the warehouse in Lathrop. Was told they were open that day, however, we had to call a day or two in advance to let them know we'd be picking up. Cool, no problem. Called the warehouse as soon as we left the store, no answer. Called until 6 pm, no answer. Whatever. Called the warehouse 1st thing Monday morning and they tell us they have to order the bed from the manufacturer in WISCONSIN and it'll be at least 2 weeks before it's delivered. WOW. We call Ashley customer service to be connected to the Ashley store we purchased from, no answer, however the representative says she can assist us. We explain that we weren't told our bed wasn't in the warehouse and that it would have to be ordered from the manufacturer. She says sorry for the inconvenience blah blah, I can have it delivered to your home when it arrives at the warehouse and I'll waive the delivery fee. That's the best they can do, whatever. They kept in contact over the next couple weeks to let us know it will be delivered on Sunday 1/19 between 2:00 and 6:00. Cool, we'll be home by then. Took our old bed apart and set it up in the spare room that morning to make room for the new bed. Sunday the 19th at 1:50 we get a call from the delivery guy saying they're ahead of schedule and will arrive at our house within 10 minutes. We meet the delivery guy and he immediately says he has bad news, that our bed arrived damaged. WHAT?? There is a 2 inch hole in the box and punctured all the way through the headboard. He says we can either decline the head and footboard and wait for a new one to be ordered and shipped, or they can set it up and he'll request a technician to come out, attempt to fix it, and if he can't fix it they'll replace it. Sorry, we decline. I want it new and intact, not broken due to no fault of our own. We accepted everything that appeared to be undamaged- mattress and protector, bunkie boards, and rails. Delivery guy does his thing, took pictures, and logged that we declined the head and footboard box. We call customer service to put us through to the Sacramento store, again no answer, but the rep says she can help. Told her the deal and she says we would have to wait until the damaged bed returned to the warehouse before they can order a new one, AGAIN, from WISCONSIN. That's all they can do, and she'll authorize the store to give us a gift card for $25-$50. I don't want a damn gift card, as that would mean I have to return to the store to give them more of my business, time, and money...I WANT MY BED. We go to the store immediately and see the salesman Derek M. who helped us with our purchase. We tell him all the bs we've been getting. The store manager assists Derek and lets him know there is another one of our head and footboard at the warehouse and they can expedite it to be delivered to our house this week! SWEET! Derek texted Monday 1/20 like he said he would to let us know we should expect a call from the warehouse to set up a delivery date and time. Tuesday 1/21 we get a call saying the earliest delivery they have is 1/27. NEXT Tuesday??! But the warehouse is only an hour away. Why is it taking 6 days to deliver something an hour away??? Why do they have signs all over the store advertising next day delivery on all orders?? Currently waiting to hear what more bs we get from the store, and how the only way we can fix this is if we just cancel our order, get a refund, and take our money elsewhere.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
I'm in a wheelchair n a gentleman met me at the door when I got off my ride n he was very nice n helpful. Took his time n explained about the items we were interested in. He was not pushy. He also listened to the customer myself and my daughter. The store is Hugh n has a variety of furniture to choose from.. It was very clean n so we're the bathrooms n that's a biggie.
It was a great experience
I purchased a living room set 6 months ago. With the furniture, I also purchased the protection plan for $200. I was told that the plan would cover any damage for 5 years except for damage due to pets scratching the furniture and bleach stains. After having my couch for a few months, the chaise cushion began getting flat and also got a couple of snags. I called Ashley HomeStore’s protection company, GBS, to see if a technician could come out and fix the issue. I was told that neither issue was covered in the protection plan. I also mentioned that the cushion was getting dark in an area from everyone sitting there. I asked if it could be cleaned and this was also not covered. The GBS representative told me to call Ashley HomeStore and see what they could do since I was still within my 1-year warranty. The customer service representative at Ashley said I would have to pay $150 for a new cushion. If you shop at Ashley HomeStore DO NOT BUY THEIR PROTECTION PLAN! It is a complete rip off and not worth your money!
Ashley charged us way more for some barstools that sold for half the price online. The book shelves we ordered were missing the shelves. Calling customer service was horrible because we were put on hold for 2 hours. They also got some repair requests confused which forced me to make multiple calls to try and clear things up. Didn't help. The woman who helped me for one of the calls had an attitude and made it an unpleasant phone call.
Great furniture, excellent time to buy over the 1st of the year sale. Very helpful staff.
Best time of the year to buy furniture everything in store was 50% off. The guy that helped us was very nice

This review is for Jordan a sales rep and the manager at this Ashely location. Jordan was very easy to talk to he treated us well and helped us with all our questions as we dragged him around the store lol. We had an issue with our order and they resolved it quickly with Jordan’s help. I just want to say Merry Christmas guy’s thank you so much and I look forward to buying from this Ashely Furniture store again in the future and hoped from Jordan. This is my very first brand new dinning set and I’m so excited. Have a Happy New Years!!
