The sales are professional of not telling the important part. The paper you sign before payment is the one really matters. Which basically says: after you pay, you are responsible for literally everything. Including but not limited to: damage during packaging, shipping and delivering unless you have VERY hard evidence, item delay, your door size. Sales won’t mention anything about these. 2 star is for sales, 0 star for the manager who deals with the dirty work after sale.

This place has the worst service! They don’t disclose all the information you need to know until you realize that it’s been weeks and they have not delivered your furniture. Not to mention that they charge 30% restocking even though they have not delivered yet.. absolutely ridiculous! You will never hear back from sales rep TITO.

We recently bought a new house, we ordered mattresses, tables, and couch from this store. They told us the delivery will be between 2-4 weeks, which my family said ok, but have the mattresses delivered first. They called and said that they will prioritize delivering the mattresses, 2 weeks later, they only delivered 2, we expected 3 to be delivered. And when I called the representative said they don’t have the 3rd one available (which is weird because another staff told me that the queen size beds are available a few days ago, and that they are just waiting for the king size bed). The delivery person said its in the warehouse, and that they forgot to highlight the item as priority to deliver first. I feel disappointed, and would like to share my experience.

My mom and I went into the Ashley home store in Salinas yesterday to buy a lift chair for my dad. He has been very sick and can’t stand up without help. I have been the one to help him stand up and get into his wheelchair and then into bed. Over the last week he has become so weak that there have been 3 days where I couldn’t get him up out of his chair so I’ve had to call 911 to come help me get him into his wheelchair and into bed. My mom and I decided that we needed to buy a lift chair to help me get him into his wheelchair so that he’s not bedridden 24/7. We found a chair at Ashley that was perfect, but it would take 2 weeks from the warehouse. Ryan, the manager was very helpful and offered to let us buy the floor model so that we could get it quicker. Then we found out that the next delivery date was this Thursday. They promised to try to get it to us sooner so that my dad wouldn’t have to be bed bound. They called us this morning and said THEY COULD DELIVER IT TODAY!!!! To say that we were blown away is an understatement!! Thank you to Ryan (store manager), Alex (sales associate) and Nikki for contacting the delivery team to help this happen, and of course the delivery team for fitting us in and being so amazing!!!! I honestly can’t thank you all enough!! I will NEVER buy furniture anywhere else!! You all are heroes!!! ❤️

I went in to purchase a new set of couches the couches that I liked we’re not gonna get here for another two weeks and they had advised me that I could take the display. I had reviewed the display couches and saw that they were an excellent condition and did not have any stains and were very well kept. That being said I decided to take those couches home the next day I went to their store they had the couches wrapped, but I noticed that the wrapping was dirty, I asked the young gentleman who wrapped the couches about the dirt on the wrapping, and they had said that the dirt was just from the outside, when I receive the couches at home and unwrapped them, I had noticed that there was stains on the couches and that the dirt was in fact, not just from the outside, but during the wrapping process, the couches were stained, I then proceeded to speak to the manager about this incident his name was BRADLEY DRUHOT , he started to argue with me and yell at me, telling me that it’s not his problem and that it’s my problem now because I have the couches, he was trying to blame me, telling me that I was the one who stained the couches, when I just had got them delivered. He later on tried to insist that he wrapped them himself personally when another employee stated that he was out of town during that time. I then told him that I didn’t want to speak to him anymore and would like to speak to the owner, due to Brad’s hostility and unprofessionalism Then he proceeded to tell me that the owner does not want to speak to me or deal with me, he then decided to tell me that if I was looking for money, I wasn’t gonna get any money back. They had cause he started to laugh and insist that I wanted money back, I continue to tell him that I wanted to speak with the owner as of a result of the insulting way he was treating me, and he just told me that he would tell the owner, but he doubt he wants to speak to me. This is an establishment that does not care about client care. They just care about commission. I would not recommend shopping here if you are looking for a helpful positive experience., and I wanted to write this review so other people don’t have to go through what I went through. She asked me a few questions as to what I was looking for and took it from there. She listened & heard me, clearly understanding my vision. Alyssa is amazing and extremely knowledgeable about furniture! She discussed the fabrics, shapes, colors, durability, details such as the wood color of the couch legs, etc. She pointed out the arm shapes of the chairs. I was truly impressed by this yound lady. I found a piece of furniture on the Ashley site for $298 and then called the store to see if they had it in stock and was told yes. After driving 40 minutes only to find that they were selling the exact same thing for over $900 +.... That type of mark up is crazy. I found the exact same thing on multiple other stores for no where near that price..... Needless to say I will never shop at Ashely Home Furniture again.
Very nice people, but at the end of the day they didn't want to give me my $ back when I canceled my order 2 days after I made the purchase. My shipment had not been processed or anything. Beware of this policy. Once you sign those papers you cannot go back. I was NOT warned about this. I was going to come back for some other deals, but never again. That was dirty foul play.

Ordered a couch online (couch was $500) and I paid for the insurance ($50) and the Delivery/Setup fee ($200). In total it cost me $800. I just received the delivery confirmation call and was notified that they don’t provide a haul away service, so now, before they arrive tomorrow, I have to go rent a U-Haul and dispose of it. If Ashley’s is not going to provide Haul away services, then they should only be $100 for Delivery/Setup.

Bought furniture, once we found the one the whole process took 15 minutes financing. 4 weeks shipping as of today. Staff was friendly and not overly pushy.
The saleslady we worked with was nice while trying to make a sale, however, once we made the purchase everything went downhill. We were told our furniture would be delivered in 4-5 weeks...it ended up taking over 12 weeks. I understand with COVID there are supply chain issues, but the problems continued during delivery. After the new bedroom set we purchased was assembled, the delivery guys proceeded to drag the mattress (which wasn't crazy heavy) onto the bed, ripping a hole in the bottom of it. I contacted Ashley furniture about the issue, as it was a high quality new (less than a year old) mattress. They gave me the run around and said it wasn't their issue, and I needed to take it up with the delivery company. Well, the delivery company (that Ashley furniture contracted) takes forever to respond. This purchase was made in July and we still have not been reimbursed for the damage to my mattress and the issue has not been resolved. HIGHLY recommend purchasing from somewhere else that stands behind their services, even post-purchase.
Never again! This place is a joke. They are wonderful at making a sale, but afterwards will take your money and run. I was told 6-8 weeks for my items to be in stock. I called periodically and got the run around of excuses for why it was delayed. It took over 3MONTHS for my furniture to make it to the store, and now I have to wait another 3 weeks for delivery. And the delivery hours are 10-6, and they will only give you a smaller time frame window the day before….ridiculous. I called to speak to a manager to at least speed up my delivery, but no response. This store cares absolutely nothing about its customers, they are only trying to make a buck. Very disappointed in their terrible customer service. Don’t waste your time here.
Ashley furniture has got to be the worst, biggest furniture manufacturer of all time. While their the smoothest talking to make the sale, they are the worst when you have a problem, want nothing to do with you when Customer Service is needed. Lazy in response, non-listeners to complaint to manufacturing. It took talking to 3 people to start the process of remedy and was told I could not be serviced until JAN 2022 for a purchase made AUG 2021. We bought a sofa not a special order in june they said 12 weeks now there saying November I should have just got one at Costco I could have had it and then I could have return it if I wasn't happy on my receipt it says I cannot return it even though I haven't received it yet I will never shop at Ashley home store again How can they open a new store in Sand City And fill it full of furniture but I can't get my sofa? I called Ashley's in November are sofa was here but when I went to pick it up it had been six months i wasn't sure if it was the same sofa it wasn't make sure you take a picture of the one you Actually purchase

I spent about $6000 on a new bedroom set for my daughter and new living room set. When I noticed that the Ashley website had prices lower than my purchases, Chris, the manager was very accommodating and helpful in helping me pay less for my purchase. I appreciated his willingness to help me feel like I got a great value on my purchase. Watch out for the sales people and double check the info they give you, our saleswoman was very misleading, telling us we would pay ~$100 for the 5-year full warranty, when that was only for the fabric warranty.

Originally ordered November 7th, 2020 and was promised that my sectional and dining table would be made available to me by early January 2021 and I was never notified of the delays since I was the one having to reach out to get information. Now it's the end of January and after calling them to find out what is going on, I am told that the sectional may not be available until March 21st, 2021 which is five months after my order was placed. It has been beyond frustrating to deal with a company that is not willing to address to the needs of their customers. Will NEVER go back to Ashely's and I am more than happy to take my purchase elsewhere.

Even though I was not very happy with the 2 and a half months it took to get my furniture. I have to recognize that John Calmus, our sales person was great. He kept in contact with me and made sure to expedite the delivery from their warehouse to my home. He was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable.

The staff at this Ashley's was awesome. I went to look for a desk and walked out with whole bedroom set..😁. They aren't pushy, they'll give you space and time to look around. Chris helped me out, they had a few desk, but not quite what I was looking for. As we were looking we came across a bedroom set I had to have. If you go through them, the credit check process wasn't long nor did it require a hair and blood sample.. Delivery was in 2 weeks. The delivery guys were great, polite and on time. The down side... it cost $50 dollars a piece for Ashley to take away the old furniture. 🥺

They seemed to be really nice people in the beginning, however one of the worst possible experience in the end. Also, bed was delivered with hole in box spring. Why I rated 2 stars... The pro's - staff are very knowledgeable, polite, attentive, and personable. Some very attractive furniture items can be found here. The delivery guys are very nice and very time efficient. They deliver the furniture, unbox it , put it together nicely, and clean up the boxing material quickly. The con's - While a lot of the furniture may be attractive, the quality of the furniture is not. A lot of the furniture is made from very cheap, low quality materials. The seams split on 2 of the cushions and one armrest on the sectional couch we bought a year ago ( this is a quiet home with no children and few visitors. The couch is used by 2 adults for a few hours daily at evening time). Considering the low quality of some of the furniture, I feel the price tags are rather high. I dont mind spending a nice chunk of money on something so long as the item is good quality and will last. In hindsight, I wish I wouldnt have been so anxious to buy a new couch.

We decided to purchase new living room furniture at the Salinas location, mainly due to the 2-3 week promise of delivery. Up one reaching the 3 week mark I called the store. I was informed my furniture was scheduled to be delivered at the end of June. A full month past the promised delivery date. Upon speaking with the store manager I was told he would address the issue and get back with me the following day, which he failed to do. I have yet to hear from anyone or even have the phone answered despite having made multiple attempts. I would rate the furniture, but I don’t have any. The store location needs some serious customer service and service recovery training. I do not recommend this store if you are on any required timeline for delivery of goods.

Brad, the salesman, is wonderful. I had a horrible experience with the girls at the desk. Myra is rude, very unprofessional and Cindy is a BIG liar and they both team up with each other. My husband and I felt so mistreated and lied to during the entire process of our purchase by these girls that we decided to complain. I called on 11/08/18 at 5:30 pm and requested to speak to the manager, Hector. I was told by the girl who identified herself as Cindy that he was not in and offered to help. I told her that I preferred to speak with him. She said, well, I am the office manager I can help you. I told thank you, but I want to speak with Hector. She asked me to hold for a few minutes and then came back to the phone to tell me that Hector no longer works for them. I asked who is the store manager now. The retailer in Salinas, CA is a total SCAM. My husband and I purchased a bedroom SET and was told by the sales associate, Tito, all the items to be included in the set. As a Memorial Day promotion, the set would include bed frame (header and footer), box & mattress, mirror with dresser, bedside table and 5 drawer chest. We confirmed with Tito several times (over the course of many hours in the store) the set content and was assured that everything we saw was included. When the furniture arrived, the 5 drawer chest was missing. Figuring this might be a mistake, we wanted this corrected peacefully over the phone. Instead, Tito insisted that it was not included and hence, was not listed on the invoice. The owner, Greg, is just as useless. They clearly don't care about the Ashley brand as they refuse to correct their mistake. In fact, Tito said something along the lines of "I don't care if I get fired." We purchased A LOT of furniture from Ashley (including a leather sectional couch, TV stand and office desk) and I cannot believe this service. We will NEVER shop at Ashley furniture again and will officially file a report with the BBB. Ashley is a SCAM! Do NOT work with Tito. He is a LIAR! In fact, do not purchase from this store. Greg, the owner, cares a rat's ass about quality & service.

They will sell you furniture that they do not have in stock ( I waited about 2.5 months for my purchase to arrive to the warehouse), and of course they wont disclose that information before hand. The delivery service is even worst! I scheduled TWICE, and twice they did not show up! Whoever is in charge of scheduling the deliveries obviously has no idea of whats going on! I have been waiting for my furniture for about 3 months now! DO NOT BUY from this store!
I bought 2 reclining sofas with bond leather for around $2k and one year later they started to crack and three years later both sofas leather are pealed and falling off and now look like they came from a dumpster. Now I have to buy new couches since the 5 year warranty I bought doesn't cover leather pealing which I wish was explained better at the time of purchase. Make your own conclusions from my experience, but I think $2k for 3 years use is not worth my money.
We ordered our coffee table a month ago with the promise to have it delivered in 5 days. 5 days later we never received a call or the furniture so I called back and they stated it would be here in one week. Another week went by and nothing. I just called them and how they are saying another two weeks. One month is now the expected time, rather than the 5 days promised. I have no idea why the reviews are so bad. The place is clean, everything is clearly marked and you know how much everything is going to cost before you even sit down and sign the papers. My husband and I worked with Mary Ellen today and she was extremely patient with us for over 4 hours! She let us know that there were lots of deals and didn't try to shield us from the clearance or bundle sections. They also offer a 15% military discount. I will always recommend this store to anyone.

One of the worst business models I've ever encountered. I purchased a bed from the store with cash and also paid for delivery. I then cancelled my order the next day as I needed the money to fly home for a death in the family. I was astounded to learn that they charge a 30% RESTOCKING FEE if an order is cancelled. Nonetheless, I needed the money so I went forward with the cancellation.The cancellation was on Friday 24 Oct 2014. Today is Monday 27 Oct 2014 and my refund is still "not ready." What dishonesty and poor customer service. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. I'll never set foot in this establishment again!
It has taken over a week and a half to get ONE of our sofas. The other one that was delivered was cut at the footrest, so I returned it, not accepting delivery. Now I will not see that Sofa for another week and 2 days. My mattress set came, near TWO weeks later, without the bed frame that I paid for in cash. When I call and speak to Edna, all I get is "We're sorry." That does not help me in any way, shape or form. I looked at my Delivery Sheet and I saw where I had not accepted the other Sofa and it stated, "Crease in material". That is a complete lie! The material was cut. Cut with a sharp straight edge. Maybe the razor used to take off the plastic? I believe so. Yet, with their fault, I wait another week and two days. This is unacceptable. We have already made a payment. And in ONE WEEK, another payment is due. For goods that I haven't totally received. I would not recommend this store. Their Customer Service is lacking greatly. They need to be trained on service skills and techniques.
After paying approximately $1700 for a new mattress, the store still insisted on charging $75 for delivery. They then delivered it over a week late (and failed to notify me that it would be a week late, until I called and asked why I wasn't sleeping on a new mattress yet). Unfortunately my wife and I work and can't afford to spend an entire work day sitting around waiting for a delivery truck, so after receiving confirmation of my delivery date I called them to narrow the delivery time down, but they refused to even ask the delivery company to deliver toward the end of our "four hour window," instead insisting that someone must be home and essentially telling me it was my problem. Glad I'm paying for a week late and inconsiderate delivery.
