The men arrived promptly and were pleasant and efficient... Kudos to Ashley furniture for hiring these guys!

Absolute terrible experience, Store with filthy, And the the janitor was beyond rude and smelled like marijuana, I wish I knew his name so I could call and complain to the store But simply very unprofessional and very rude. I will never return to Ashley’s after being a customer for the last five years. Disgraceful

VERY nice layout & furniture displays. My salesperson Molly was very chill, professional yet personable, and knowledgeable. She wasn't aggressively pushing me to buy anything. She made the shopping experience enjoyable.

TL;DR - got the goods, but felt kept in the dark about the purchasing orocess. Came here to buy a mattress. Sales guys were happy to help, showed us around several mattresses (they start customers at most expensive / fancy models, then go down from there). Finally found one we liked, they assured us we could trade it out if we tested it and didn't like it. They did not spell out, however, that we would be paying for the mattress with a new line of credit opened in our names. There was no discussion about paying for the item outright. Later, we came in to explore options for trading the mattress for another one. A different sales rep finally filled us in on how the process would work: swapping out any mattress for another one incurs a fee 40% the cost of the original mattress, and Ashley Furniture just throws away the old mattress - doesn't recycle, doesn't donate. Any of this long process would be fine if it was spelled out at the beginning, but it wasn't. It left us feeling surprised and dismayed.

Molly was absolutely wonderful! She assisted me to find the TV stand that I was looking for…very helpful and knowledgeable about the items in the store.

Donnie was great opening the store early for us and Molly helped us find the perfect couch! She was super great!

Molly and the staff greeted us promptly and warmly upon entering the store. They were all friendly and dressed impeccably. Molly was very impressive. She asked all the right questions, and when i shared what i was looking for, she brought me right over to view it, as well as, made some recommendations. She wasn't pushy, but explained the current sale and options. She chatted a bit with my 87 year old mom while we looked and wrapped up the sale with ease. Honestly one of the top 5 sales experiences i have ever had.

We had such a great experience thanks to Molly! She was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain all the different Tempur-Pedic options so we could find the perfect bed for us. She made the process easy, never rushed us, and really understood what we needed. You can tell she genuinely cares about helping her customers. We highly recommend asking for Molly if you visit!

Watch out for the Okie Doke people. I have been charged interest upfront that was supposed to be deferred for a year. My payment has gone up to double the amount of what was agreed to. Ask for TRANSPARENCY!!!! So disappointed. Watch out for smiling faces and fake handshakes.!

My husband and I went looking for a new mattress and had the pleasure of having Keilan as our sales person and he was incredible! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable but he was patient and had us try out several different mattresses before we settled on one we really liked. He also helped us with getting some discounts and was was not pushy when we declined some of the extras. Overall, he made the whole process very enjoyable and we look forward to getting many good nights of sleep,and will refer folks to work with him at this location.

If I could give zero stars I would. Not due to the service I received from the sales associate Keilon who was amazing. The delivery crew showed up to my door this morning with my sofa and loveseat claiming it will not fit through my my apartment front door. I live on the 3rd floor and they did not attempt to come up to my apartment door to get the furniture in the door. How do you assume a standard sofa and loveseat can't fit through a front door and you didn't even come up to the floor to deliver it. After much back and forth I cancelled the order. Next time find delivery staff that aren't lazy and actually do their job. What it was is that they didn't want to deliver to the third floor absolutely no attempt to bring the furniture up

First time visiting the Hamden, CT store. Was warmly greeted by store manager Donny and assisted by Abdul, who provided us with a comfortable no pressure experience. He was very attentive, patient and answered all our questions. Abdul worked within our budget to allow us to purchase the living room set we decided upon and was able to even get us better pricing after conferring with store manager Donny. Customer service experience was great with both Abdul and Donny.

Beautiful furniture , quality and looks even better in the home, delivery guys moved it in with ease , efficiently and were very pleasant..it was a very hot day I gave them fresh watermelon they deserve it.. they also wore the shoe covers I bought for them they were very nice

Great experience! Abdul was amazing! He was friendly, professional, and worked with my budget. The plan was to browse that day but I left there with a new bed and mattress for a great deal that I couldn’t pass up!

Now that my problem was resolved with the credit bureau, I can leave my highly dissatisfied review. In early May, I stopped in to look at some furniture for our new home. I ended up working with the VP of sales, who was extremely sales aggressive and made me feel awkward & extremely uncomfortable. I assured him I did not need help I was there to browse, so he handed me off to another shorter gentleman, unfortunately I do not remember his name, the only thing I can remember him saying was that he was from New York. He offered to see how much i’d be qualified for upon pre approval. There were signs everywhere in store & online stressing the fact no credit will be affected with the pre approval process. He handed me his iPad in the living room section and said I had up to 10K per their financial services (Synchrony Bank). I assured him I will NOT be financing anything, we preferred to pay in cash. I did not see anything I loved and walked out. A week later I got notifications from my financial apps saying there was a $10,000 line of credit opened for Synchrony Bank from their Ashley Store partner in Hamden, CT. I was absolutely irate. Upon an unsuccessful phone interaction with Christina in the corporate customer advocate and escalation department, I was told that none of their stores have an actual local phone number. She offered to page the store on her end and hope someone would answer…they never did. Christina said each store is franchised, the only was to communicate this matter would be to physically enter the store and attempt to speak with management. I have been a sales manager for the last 13 years, and this made absolutely zero sense to me, so much that I actually laughed. I got nowhere with her, but genuinely thanked her because she did what she could. I was able to keep my cool with all of this because I can easily and promptly fix this by getting the credit bureaus involved. So I did. About a month later, I received (see attached) a letter of correspondence from the Synchrony Bank Fraud Solutions Team. I am disgusted that I had to experience this awful sales tactic, and hope the general public reads this and avoids any of their locations. I’m not one to gate keep my credit scores and fortunately this was such a small hit, but I was furious at the intent this team had with me. I have moved on from this but I felt it was necessary to share.

Great experience from Salesforce to Delivery Drivers!!

I would like to thank Dealex for assisting us with picking out and purchasing our new living room furniture. He gave us options, was not pushy, and was a pleasure to work with. We had such a good experience, my husband also bought a loveseat for his man cave. We would definitely go back to the Ashley Store in Hamden, and would request Dealex to make our next purchase.

A bunch of scammers. Offered me a pre approval ended up with a 10k credit card. THAT I DID NOT NEED. Do not fall for the pre approval unless you plan to buy your furniture from them!!!!

I bought two dressers for my granddaughter and my grandson to be I love the quality of the dressers the price was fair and the payments was fair the service was excellent I would recommend anyone to shop at Ashley's it's a great furniture store to shop at

Customer service was really good however, please be mindful with pricing.. I definitely overpaid. The in store price is more expensive than online. They even charge more in the store for the 5 year protection. They offered a 20% discount for MLK but it’s not really a discount when they hike up the price.. So make sure you’re checking the online price while in the store with a rep so they can price match.. doing business here cost me additional money and I’m not okay with that! I should’ve stuck with Raymour and Flanigan

Thank you to very hard working staff (Abdul and Erin) at Ashley's They were able to get my daughter a loft bed and mattress for her son and her sleigh bed and mattress for a very reasonable cost They worked with us to get us the best price within are price range. Never once pushing us towards the most expensive furniture but to what we could afford without compromising comfort. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ashley's store in Hamden I just wanted add, that delivery team were AWESOME. Polite, neat and just awesome all the away around!!!!

Oh my goodness if I could give every star in space I would! 😂 Justis was AMAZING!! I have been dealing with Ashley’s for sooo long, from sales people lying just to get me to purchase something to me just simply being super indecisive & being pressured to just buy even though I didn’t love it, I’ve purchased 4 sectionals and changed my mind each time.. it’s been such a hassle. However, I walked into the Milford location today and Justis walked up & I feel like me and my best friend did his shift with him 😂 he sat down with us and made us comfortable, he didn’t try to get us to purchase something we didn’t want & he held conversations with us about real life instead of conversations all about furniture & that made me trust him. I’ve been so stressed with finding the perfect couch & he managed to get my mind off of that for a little (even though we were sitting on the couch I was indecisive about most lol) every single couch I was interested in, he literally got comfortable & sat on them with me and my best friend instead of standing above us. (He also asked did I mind if he sat next to me prior to sitting down which I heavily respected, it be the little things you know?) it was as if we were all in my house already just having family time or something 😂 he was so calm and honestly, it was as if we knew him forever! He was so knowledgeable and honest. He didn’t lie just to get me to purchase furniture. He was so cool, calm & collected. I wish I could refer everyone in the whole wide world who’s looking for furniture to him lol He was just that FREAKING AWESOMMMMEEE!!! Thank you so much Justis!!

placed a order and for furniture and for unforeseen reasons had to cancel it. the Hamden CT store had no phone number so got directed to a new jersey number where someone places you on hold and calls the store for you but cannot give the store number. Still trying to cancel my order, waiting for a call back. If I don't get a call by the afternoon I'll have to drive to the Hamden store!

We came here looking for a couch and were greeted at the door by Dealex. He was very patient and saw the vision we needed for our home. Dealex is the best!!!! We had an amazing experience especially since we went to raymour and flanigan and had a horrible experience. So all thanks to Ashley’s and Dealex.

After having big problems with Ashleys on line!!! And several attempts to fix it. Finally went to Ashelys in Hamden. Everything worked out great!!! Customer service was great, not pressured, allowed to look and all questions answered. Ashelys on line needs to take lessons from the store in hamden on how to help their customers!!! I will be back to purchase more from the hamden store!!!

This was a ridiculous experience and one I'll never do again. I went to these guys to buy furniture for a new home. I wound up buying furniture for the master bedroom and dining room, which was all I could buy from them because we were continually told items weren't in stock. Six weeks later and several calls made, we still didn't have the furniture. I even left a message for the manager, who never called back. I finally made a call and wasn't all that nice, which lead to them actually putting the manager on the line. I don't remember his name, but he did work to get the problem corrected and I received the furniture today. So, whoever that was, thank you. On the flip side, I shouldn't have had to make several calls, shouldn't of had to wait 6 weeks with zero communication from the store, and shouldn't have had to finally call the store ranting and raving to finally get the manager on the line. If there was a problem with stock, the store should have properly communicated with me. We received no calls, at all. They took our money and just disappeared until I made enough noise. As a comparison, we went to Raymour & Flannigans the same day we were at Ashley's and the experience was remarkably different. We bought two rooms there as well and 7 days later, all the furniture we purchase was delivered and they communicated with us as things progressed. I certainly will never go back to Ashley's because buying furniture shouldn't quite frankly be a stressful experience. That said, I do want to thank the manager of the store again. It would have been better if he actually returned my call the first time, but I do appreciate him hearing me out and finally getting the situation resolved so my family and I can actually sleep at the new house.

I purchased a king size bed set with the mattress, my experience with Ashley and D’Alex was very pleasant. Ashley and D’Alex were extremely helpful and patient lol, as I’m a very particular person. I look forward to doing business with them again in the near future, at the Hamden location.

Back in June, I was looking for a new set of dining chairs, and Ashley's was the only place that had a combination of comfort, modern style, and affordability. I worked with Dealex, and he never pressured me throughout the process. In fact, he made sure I had all of the information I needed before I left, then encouraged me to take the time to think things over, which made me feel even more comfortable. The next day, I came back and purchased six chairs, and I've been incredibly happy with my purchase!

My mom and I had a great time shopping here. We were able to buy many furnitures with a great price for our new apartment. The staff were friendly and helpful during our time there. Dealex rocks!!

We had the most amazing experience with our sales rep Erin! She was so friendly, and after we left with thoughts just to think about it, Erin followed up with a phone call three days later. I have never experienced a Furniture sales person following up with a call and I'm so glad she did. We ended up purchasing more than our original thoughts and her follow-through was excellent. I will be going back to Erin for all future furniture needs. Our couch set is absolutely stunning.

I loved decorating my new home with Ashleys furniture! Dealex was awesome to work with. He was super knowledgeable and professional. The manager Ashley was so sweet. Highly recommend Ashleys in Hamden.

Overall, the experience was decent. The furniture is solid, but the prices online were notably LOWER than in store. The store associate matched the price online, but if I had not done the research myself, I would have paid hundreds of dollars more. So, CHECK THE PRICES ONLINE before you buy anything in the store.

I walked inside of Ashley, a young women approached my mom and me as if she saw us walking in. She greeted us with a smile and we begin talking, she asked if we were looking for any thing particular. I begin to shared what I was looking for and she walked with us through out the store, selecting our items. She was friendly, kind and very helpful to my needs. Erin was great. Couch didn’t fit and she was able to waive a redelivery fee.

Dealex was so easy to work with. I just needed a new pillow but not a cheap one. He explained the cooling materials and had me test a couple to make sure my head and neck were properly aligned. I’m looking forward to a good nights rest.

This was an amazing efficient process here at Ashley’s. The sales team (Romi, DeAlex, Derrick and Keilon) were very professional and informative. Erin and Marcel were very good at making us and our kids feel welcomed! Great hospitality and sales skills for this young team! We weren’t pressured into buying anything but giving full attention and allowed to create the perfect pieces! I recommend Ashley’s for buying the perfect furniture pieces for your home. The staff were very helpful and helped me get the perfect dining room set I was looking for. You also can’t beat the prices! Loved shopping here.

I was looking for a reclining seat, lift chair for my mother-in-law and a loveseat that pulled out to a bed and I had a very good saleswoman. Her name was Erin and she helped me out a lot. I had a budget that I had and she was able to find me two beautiful pieces there for a good price, I would definitely go back to the store once I am looking for myself for a living room set.

The store is beautiful and clean, the layout is well thought out and the employees are very personable & helpful. Erin helped me pick out a mattress and she is wonderful! Highly recommend!

5 weeks ago I went to Ashley Showroom in Hamden CT. Since then my experience with Ashley Furniture has been the worst nightmare. I have patiently waited 5 weeks for them to repair a sofa that arrived defective because Ashley Furniture's motto is when their furniture leaves the warehouse it cannot be returned. They didn't tell me that when I was in the showroom!!! And the days have passed and so far they have not given me any solution. Tired of their excuses, texts, and poorly trained CUSTOMER SERVICE, the only thing they know how to say is (We understand your frustration but unfortunately blah, blah, blah) I have heard the same line over, over and over. My last conversation CSR repeated the word UNFORTUNATELY 7 times in less than 5 min. My advice is that if you have an experience like mine, be patient because UNFORTUNATELY, you will not have any solution. If this is your first time shopping at Ashley Furniture, I hope your experience is better than mine!

Terrible customer service. Had to order my furniture 3 separate times due to poor communication between the Ashley furniture store and Acima leasing company. The regional managers assured me my order would arrive in a timely fashion only to have someone call me up to say the order was canceled and had to be reordered. This back and forth went on a while month. In the end, I still have no furniture and will never do business with the company again.

Great place to buy home furniture. Store layout is beautifully done. Prices are reasonably better compared to other stores. I must say store associate Veede was just exceptional. She was knowledgeable and charming! 5 stars for this location

Great experience and Dealex ( our trusted advisor)was so patient and helpful. He didn’t make us feel pressured or rushed, took time and showed us everything. 2 rooms down.

This store opened one week ago. The layout and design is attractive. The furniture appears to be good quality. And the salesmen were awesome. We weren’t actually in the market for purchasing anything but we did find a beautiful dining table. Dealex greeted us at the door. He was a young salesman that will be successful in his career. He’s knowledgeable about the furniture, has a great personality, well spoke and not overpowering.

Excited to have this store in our neighborhood! Super friendly and personable staff. Great furniture options. A+
