Store Associate: Denzel Support: Excellent service and support. Spoke with him on the phone and showed up later that day with recognition and quick results. Other Notes: The store appearance itself could use a bit of a touch up provided it appears more like an industrial warehouse than a welcoming showroom yet it is still not a deterrence from the product. It is also worth noting that the warranty appears to be more inclusive than others and is not provided/available from those purchased from (at a slightly lower price) online-only retailers. Would recommend their service, support, and product.

We worked with Joel who helped us find exactly what we were looking for. The checkout process was easy - but as it turns out, too easy. Joel never mentioned that there was a $150 delivery charge stuck in there. Shame on us for not looking more carefully and trusting our salesperson to let us know. We didn't buy anything special and would likely have done more shopping if we had realized, since other places offer free or lower priced delivery. Additionally, there was no option to have the old couch taken away. This has been a pretty big headache, and it is still taking up half of the garage while we wait for the leaf pickup in Vernon to be done.

11/9: Denzel was so helpful and kind! 10/10 recommend. 11/12 (Updated): I’m updating my original 5-star review. While Denzel was fantastic, the management at the Manchester location was extremely disappointing. They provided incorrect information about the product and store inventory. Unfortunately, Denzel was misinformed and unintentionally gave inaccurate details about what I would be receiving. We were promised a specific price for a non-floor model (an older model, but new). Two days later, the warehouse called and informed us that the Manchester office was mistaken and that I would actually be receiving the worn and damaged floor model that customers had been sitting on. This was not part of the deal we agreed to. When management reached out, they refused to offer a fair solution. They wouldn’t honor the price that was promised for a warehouse model and instead tried to raise the price. Why not simply stand by their word and retain a customer? A mystery. What started as a great experience...turned into one of the most frustrating and dishonest interactions I’ve had with a retailer. I won’t be back.

Great store with large selections of furniture. Friendly staff! But parking needs to improve lighting! I had to google it to see if the store was open.

I called this store late afternoon and asked if they had any pieces from a specific collection on display. I was told by Denzel that yes, they had some bedroom pieces on display. I then drove 45 minutes to view the furniture. When I arrived, Denzel was with a customer. I walked the entire store and found zero pieces from the collection. As I was heading to the door to leave, I was called over and told that they had 'something similar,' a set I'd already seen and was not interested in. Denzel then started saying that the set was replaced with something else. He did not look at me while saying this (he was busy doing something behind a desk) and I was offered no semblance of an apology. They just let me walk right out of the store as if it was no big deal. Shame on this salesperson not only for not confirming when I called, resulting in a complete waste of gas and time, but for not caring one little bit about disappointing a customer. At the very least, an apology was in order. I will not return to this store again.

It shows a high level of class when an employee is professional enough to point a customer to the correct store when that store is not the one they work at. He could've easily said "we don't carry that. Good luck!" I will certainly return here to purchase other items because of the quality of this particular employee.

Saw a sectional sofa on Ashley's website and stopped in to see if they had that model in the showroom. They did not but Joel showed me a sofa from the same collection so I could get an idea of the firmness of the cushions. I told him I wanted to think about it and went on my way. I went back two days later and Joel was there to help me again. In both instances he was very pleasant to talk to and answered any questions I had. I ended up ordering the sectional I saw online from him in the store.

Worst customer service. I purchased a dining set from Ashley, Manchester store. On the day of delivery, i get a call from their Warehouse manager saying that Dining set came damaged. They asked me if I am willing to accept a damaged piece if they repair. Seriously are you asking a full price paying customer to accept a damaged piece. I declined the request and ask them to order it again. They finally delivered the dining set after a wait of 3 weeks. But this time, i missed one piece during the install. When i saw it they were already gone. I reported to Customer Service team and they told me that they will set-up the appointment to fix the missing piece. On the day of appointment, they called and told me that they have already trashed the piece and they need to order the new part. New part was ordered which was again missing one piece. Delivery Team left without fixing my issue. Then i called so many times to the store, customer service. After a wait of 3 weeks, I finally get hold of customer service team and they started accusing me of being picky and not accepting the part. I had a heated conversation with customer service team and they told me that missing part delivery will arrive next week. Delivery team showed up next week with a part of different color. Ashley Customer Service team have absolutely no idea. I refused to accept the part of different color and spoke with customer service team. They told me that they cannot order any more and i have to live with the issue. When i refuse to accept what they were telling me they transferred my call to Warehouse Manager. Warehouse Manager told me to come to warehouse and choose which missing i want. In the end, I went to warehouse and picked the missing of slightly different color and fixed my issue on my own. This is the kind of customer service Ashley Homestore provides. I seriously do not recommend Ashley Homestore to anyone who is shopping for the furniture.

Micheal was very knowledgeable and helpful in our search for a new couch. Answered all of our questions and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Will be returning for future purchases.

I had an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience at this furniture store. I made it very clear to the associate that I did not want a credit card, nor did I authorize ANY kind of hard credit inquiry. I repeated this MULTIPLE times, and was assured that nothing would be done without my permission. Yet, moments after seeing if I would be “pre-approved”, I received a notification from Credit Karma that a hard inquiry had been made on my credit report. When I confronted the employee, he completely denied it and told me the alert was “wrong” — as if I wouldn’t notice my own credit being affected? This is deceptive and incredibly unprofessional behavior. Signing someone up for a credit card without their consent is not only unethical — it borders on fraud. I will absolutely never return, and recommend that you be VERY careful if you do business here. Instead, go to Bob’s Discount Furniture. My experience there far exceeded that at Ashley Furniture. The employees there are respectful, don’t pressure you, and if you’re interested in financing, they’ll actually show you the pre-approval process and let you sign up — like it should be. Plus, the furniture is WAY more comfortable and actually reasonably priced. Save your time, your credit score, and your sanity.

Ketan was very helpful when I was looking for an obscure table of particular proportions for a specific purpose. He helped me search the inventory, including items off-site, and found me the perfect piece.

Well if you see something on the website don't think that the store is going to carry it I would call first I just drove 45 minutes for nothing and they couldn't even find something comparable to what's on the website

We had a great experience shopping for a new living room set weth Ketan at Ashley in Manchester. Ketan asked questions about exactly what we were looking for and provided different options. We found a set we liked and he was kind enough to show us some different digital designs based on the room dimensions I sent to him. Overall, it was a very smooth process and I would highly recommend working with Ketan if you have any future furniture needs.

We purchased the amazing Boyington Power recline heat massage etc.. sofa and loveseat in caramel from Ketan in Manchester. He was great and we enjoyed our shopping experience. We got the delivery today. It is beautiful. The delivery team was professional respectful and friendly. They pot down a blanket and removed their shoes while carrying the furniture in to protect our carpets. They tested all the functions to make sure everything worked as expected. We love our new set. My partner and I have never felt so uncomfortable and pressured in a furniture store. Our sales associate was very pushy, kept only showing us the most expensive couches in the store, and was trying to talk us out of some of our preferences for the sake of a higher priced couch. We were told "no pressure, take your time" but was approached every 2 minutes asking about financing and made to feel guilty for not making a decision yet. We politely tried to leave, but was told "not to give up and to keep looking" in the store after politely saying we needed to talk about it and tried to leave multiple times. I will never come to this Ashley again, it was incredibly uncomfortable experience.

3 stars because I'm nice. I paid almost $9k for a bunch of furniture, they did not give us a receipt for the purchase, didn't even email one to us. Then when the furniture arrived at our house it didn't include everything we ordered, so we paid for what we thought was everything and we were 2 items short. They also told us that the bed frame didn't need a box spring and it does so now we need to go buy one. Honestly this place needs to get it's crap together. Super unprofessional and I'm definitely not happy.

I wrote a review before for the store, but it was for the Walmart location more than 2 years ago And this location on Hale Road is definitely 100% better. My previous visit to the Walmart location no one greeted me even as I walked around for a good 10 minutes and I left. But today I was greeted at least twice. And Derek helped me walking around with a measuring tape to measure the drawer depth for all of the dressers in the store. I found what I was looking for. Sai the GM also assisted with the measurements. Scott at the desk was also friendly. In total this led to a purchase. Would definitely buy from again!

Visited Ashley's furniture store and was greeted by Williams, who gave us a run down of the store and allows us to walk around uninterrupted (nice touch). On our second visit, we picked the couch, and William made the whole process smooth.

Super friendly and not pushy, shopping here was easy and enjoyable. Working with Lisa was amazing. I am adding to this review as the experience has changed. Our furniture arrived at the warehouse and this is where things started to change. The Warehouse is not super organized, we were missing parts of our furniture and have been struggling to communicate with them. Then while assembling the parts we had, we noticed the table top of our dining room set was damaged. We reached out to the store for help, they basically told us that it was not their problem. When we finally talked with the warehouse, they were surprised we were missing parts. We had to remind them that they knew and were supposed to contact us! So they said they would look into this and get back to us, still waiting. Meanwhile we were told by the store to not use our furniture, and that we could not return it or we would be hit with a restocking fee. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Not organized, not helpful, lack of accountability. We will never shop at Ashley furniture again and will make sure to tell anyone looking for furniture not to go there.

Beware buyers!!! I had my first and last purchase at this ridiculous store. I ordered a bedroom set on July 22nd and I am still waiting on my night stand. They called me last week for pickup and we found at warehouse that its faulty. Now the new timeline is end of October. Just imagine the amount of frustration that i am going through right now. And funniest part is that store is not taking any responsibility and asking me to contact customer center for delivery, they are just there to collect your money and once you place your order you are at the mercy of lazy backend teams.

My experience at Ashley Furniture in Manchester was very positive overall! The atmosphere was great, and the staff were very friendly! Derek was extremely helpful with helping me find what I was looking for based on what I was telling him I needed for the space for which I was purchasing. He went above and beyond re-ranging furniture, measuring, moving items back and forth across the store so I could get a visual of how it would look and if it would work. I went to Ashley furniture in Manchester, Connecticut to find a recliner for my husband. I had very specific requests, not just an easy purchase. I worked with Lisa and she went above and beyond to help with everything I was looking for. After looking together and discussing different options, I made a purchase. I had planned to go to another store but after working with Lisa and receiving her wonderful customer service, I decided to purchase at Ashley and not look any further.

Our salesman was William, who was helpful and professional and we were able to find some couches that fit our room and budget and ended up ordering the following day. Our experience at Ashley furniture was a positive one, the environment isn't pushy or annoying like some other stores we visited. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality and reasonably priced furniture and a laid back atmosphere.

Today (08/07/2024), we went to purchase a recliner sofa at Ashley Store in Manchester . Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a salesperson named William, who was excellent. He showed us a variety of recliners, patiently helping us find the right type and color. William was genuine, generous, and modest. He explained everything thoroughly and ultimately offered us a reasonable discount and free delivery. However, our experience with the store sales manager ( Sia Zadeh) was extremely disappointing. The manager’s attitude was rude and unprofessional. When we inquired about a discount on a $2,100 sofa, the manager (Sia Zadeh) immediately judged us and implied that we were the type of customers who shop around for quotes to get lower prices elsewhere. His manner of speaking and behavior were completely inappropriate. Despite our need to take time to decide on such a significant purchase, the manager was pushy and dismissive. Furthermore, the manager’s guidance to the new salesperson was poor, resulting in the wrong item being ordered. Fortunately, we caught the mistake while still in the store and had it corrected, but the manager’s arrogance and lack of professionalism left a negative impression. In summary, while our experience with William was fantastic and deserving of praise, the manager’s (Sia Zadeh)conduct was unacceptable and significantly marred our overall experience. Please, don’t judge anyone just because if the people are asking about deals or discount on a particular product. Therefore, I am giving a four-star rating solely because of William’s excellent service.

I purchased a couch from this location with the protection plan. Upon trying to cancel this plan according to their policy, the company has been non responsive. After calling, emailing and speaking to an employee in person, this request continues to be ignored. I was urged to leave a 5 star review while I was in the store completing my purchase. I'm glad I chose not to now that I have experienced their non existent customer service. I would not purchase from this company again.

I had a horribly rude and targeted interaction with an employee at the Hale Rd location, on sunday. Me and my friend (we are 17 and 18) stepped inside and right away, the employees all stared at us and then one of the workers, a man, proceeded to ask us for id’s and claimed that nobody under 18 was allowed inside.. my friend pulled out his id to show him, but then the other employee claimed it was a joke and they told us to have fun. I thought that was strange but the end of that. Obviously we are teens but we aren’t children. We were walking around and trying out the chairs, when the same man yells at us from across the room demanding us to “come here”. So we go over, we’re confused because we can’t understand what he was saying, we were just talking to eachother and sitting on the furniture, and he asked us what we were doing here, we explained that we were just stopping in and we were simply trying out the furtniture, we weren’t being rough or disruptive, or anything that would have deserved what he said to us. Then he proceeded to say “You can go date somewhere else, this isn’t a place for a date.” And he kicked us out of the building rudely, and the other employees just sat behind him sulking and glaring at us. One, me and my friend weren’t even dating, and did nothing to suggest that. He probably assumed that because one of us is a girl and one is a boy, and he said he was “waiting for customers”, basically assuming that just because we appeared to be young that we weren’t customers like anybody else. Never have I felt so unwelcome, violated, and targeted. I would understand that he kicked us out if we were being disruptive or acting as children, but we did nothing wrong and were simply walking around the store and using it how it’s intended. It’s really rude how he assumed we were dating or on a date simply because a boy and girl are in a store together. And the ID’s clearly wasn’t a rule nor assuming we weren’t customers due to our appearance and ages. The man that treated us like this appeared to be indian, had an accent, was middle aged, and seemed to be the main employee welcoming people into the store. Honestly, I hope this man gets discliplined and learns how to treat customers, thats probably why this Ashleys location is always so empty. Also, when he kicked us out there were no other customers even though he claimed they were waiting, and the employees were all just sitting around looking bored. Please be more welcoming and don’t assume somebody isn’t a customer if they appear to be younger. Plus my friend is a legitimate adult so asking for an ID and assuming we were both children is ridiculous. Please learn to be respectful and kind and how to treat a prospective customer, even if you may assume something based on your personal bias. I really hope some accountability is taken, but for others looking to shop here, just don’t. The staff is incredibly rude.
