I purchased the ModMax II sectional from this location. While the in-store experience was fine, the delivery and fulfillment process was repeatedly problematic. This involved three attempts to complete delivery for the same furniture. During the first delivery, the sectional arrived defective, with pieces that did not align properly, and had to be returned. During the second visit, a required sectional piece was missing, and I was asked to schedule a third delivery to complete the order. When I requested a timing change for the third visit—notified two days in advance—I was informed that I would be charged a $99 rescheduling fee, despite these issues originating from Ashley’s own delivery and fulfillment errors. Charging a customer to correct problems caused by the company is unreasonable and unacceptable.
Good delivery and set-up. The team provided frequent updates to their arrival time, assembled the furniture perfectly and cleaned -up nicely. Very happy.

We had the best experience ever purchasing furniture with Ateeb as the salesman at Ashley Furniture! He was so very knowledgeable and seemed to appreciate our sense of comfort and style. We will definitely go back to Ashley and request Ateeb to help us out.
Recently purchased furniture and when the salesperson asked for a delivery date, we provided him with one that would fit our schedule. We repeated this date a couple of times to him. We received a message this morning and the incorrect delivery date is listed, the date we advised him would not work for us, and now we need to scramble to maybe make it work. Other future dates are not good. Being a salesperson means listening to the customer, which was not done. First and last time we do business with Ashley Furniture.

Absolute worst experience purchasing furniture. Chairs came badly damaged and delivery crew insisted they leave them in my home suggesting I call in a warranty replacement. Then several missed deliveries resulting in wasted time. Nobody at the store answers the phone so I had to physically go there to speak to someone over and over again. Eventually cancelled the whole thing and started over again somewhere else. Just not worth it.

Derrick was amazing. I was 100% on shopping around for couches and not settling on the first one I saw but Derrick completely changed my mind and I bought my couch the same day. He was knowledgeable and helpful. Delivery was just as easy and straightforward and the piece came undamaged and was set up in minutes. Would return for other purchases.
When you get into Ashley, ask for Shae!! We spent about 3 hours in the store looking at (and laying on) every couch in the store. She was super knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly helpful the whole time. Not once did we feel like we were being sold to, either. Her and I moved furniture and pillows around the store to see every combination of couch, chair, and color imaginable. Plus, the whole time, she had the calculator out providing quotes for every one we thought of. Even after leaving the store she made sure that we could measure the space, and change anything on the order. We ended up with a sectional, table, bed frame and a swivel chair that’ll make my new apartment feel like home!! Thank you Ashley — and more importantly, thank you Shae!! My first day in Connecticut was a blast! 😊

Unfortunately, I bought a sofa from Ashley, and the fabric is of poor quality. The seams are coming loose, the fabric is sagging, and everything is unstitched and ripped. The insurance I paid through Montage Furniture Services (the insurance Ashley offers) doesn't cover the damage because, according to them, it's not covered by the protection plan ($1400). I paid over $2,000 for the sofa, and now I have a ripped and damaged sofa, and no one wants to take responsibility for such a poor-quality product. I recommend that you avoid purchasing anything from this store.

We had a very good experience at Ashley when my daughter and I went shopping for bedroom/living room furniture. Shae helped out go through our options and she was great!! Furniture was delivered, as scheduled, and I was very happy. After a short time I noticed an issue with the power recliner and, to date, no matter what I’ve done I cannot get someone out to look at it. Shae told me I’d have worry free coverage for 5 years, which I paid for. So I am very frustrated and disappointed with Ashley customer service. I don’t think I’d shop there again unfortunately. I tried responding to you at the email you provided and received this undeliverable response. Let me know what I need to do.

Disappointed with the experience. We were misled about the delivery time — the salesperson overpromised and didn’t deliver. After being bounced around and spending over an hour trying to resolve the issue, we ultimately had to cancel the order. Be cautious and double-check everything they promise.
We recently stopped in Ashley to find furniture for our new home. We were lucky enough to be set up with Derrick. He did a great job of catching on to our taste and helping us find pieces within our ideal price range. At no point did we feel like we were being upsold on anything and he was very honest and helpful every step of the way. We were so appreciative of all his help
I recently moved into my first apartment, and I can say with certainly I will never buy from Ashley Furniture again. I shopped in store last month and told the rep I was moving into a second floor apartment in an older home with a narrow stairwell. The doorways measure 32” and I needed to find something inexpensive that would fit up the stairs. I saved for MONTHS to be able to purchase something in-person versus risking it with Amazon or Wayfair. I purchased a sofa chaise from the outlet that my rep guaranteed would fit, since it comes in 2 pieces. Before I paid for it, I asked if there were any non-refundable fees and he informed me of a $99 re-delivery fee if I miss the delivery window, which is reflected on my order confirmation. He speedily clicked through a bunch of screens, not saying anything, and scanned my card. That was it. He said he would text me the confirmation, he never did. He said I would receive the confirmation via email, it went to spam. The deliverymen came and the sofa would not fit up the stairs despite the opinion of the sales rep. I didn’t sign for the furniture and they took it back to the warehouse. I called to get a refund and was told the sofa is refundable but not the delivery fee. There is no sofa in my apartment. Why am I expected to pay a delivery fee for a sofa I don’t own? I called customer service for a refund and was told there is a $139 non-refundable delivery fee. I told them my order confirmation only lists the $99 re-delivery fee, so the agent told me this store would call me within a few hours to clear it up. The store never called me. There is no note about a non-refundable delivery fee on my confirmation (that I had to search for in spam because the rep never followed up)! I saved for this sofa for months and now can’t even get the money back. I’m expecting a full refund, including delivery, for the couch I do not own. Ashley, please do respectable business. This is the worst experience I could have as a new apartment renter.
I recently bought a bed set at Ashley’s in Milford and Jesse, who helped me was not only professional but knowledgeable I couldn’t of asked for a better person to assist me in the purchase. He also provided me with a text number because I had additional questions which she answered immediately after hours he is really a gem.

My grandmother is 87 years old she was talked into buying things she did not want because she returned a brand new couch and was told if she didn't use the $800 dollar credit that day she would lose her money which is ridiculous so she get a couple of items and a lamp which starts to smoke after about a week so they exchange for another but dame manufacturer and this one just doesn't work so I call 3 time finally the rep Jacqueline from the Milford store tells me her manager Daniel said she's stuck with the purchase and she can call shortly she wants about it she lucky they replaced it to begin with which shocked me because this defective item came from your store and it happened 2 times less than a month apart but this store is very unprofessional after you spend your money and they manipulate you into spending a bunch of money with promises they don't keep and then they are rude to you when you try to resolve the issue this is a lady in her 80s I am livid but karma has a way of coming around be careful who you screw over because you never know who your dealing with DANIEL

Forward a year later, I walked in and she immediately recognized me, and had the order saved from prior encounter. Needless to say the item was now available and I purchased it, Molly was so helpful and friendly throughout the entire process.

We are excited about our recent couch purchase at Ashley’s. The store was clean and we did not feel pressured to purchase anything when we first walked in the door. We worked with Shae. She was professional and courteous, worked within our budget, and was able to answer any question we had about the store products. The couch is super cozy, perfect for movie nights. 🍿 🎥

What started as a very positive shopping experience ended up being an extremely disappointing experience upon delivery of the furniture. We ordered 7 pieces of furniture, 4 of which arrived damaged or stained. After having spent thousands of dollars on this furniture, we expected more out of the quality. We’ve been expecting a phone call from the store manager but never ended up hearing back. While we do love the pieces we ended up getting, it was a frustrating experience and we’ll likely look elsewhere for furniture in the future. We had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Shae at Ashley while purchasing furniture for our new home. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcome and truly understood our needs. BEWARE: store will ACTUALLY open a credit card under your name after a “soft pull” to check if you can finance something. This was done to me, without confirming if I was actually going to buy something. Now I have a HARD PULL on my credit & an actual Credit Card from Ashley’s, which I did NOT ask for, nor was I asked if I wanted or told I was receiving this card. BE CAREFUL IN HERE.
I rarely do reviews but this experience merits one. Dan, the salesman, was great and made me feel comfortable during the buying process. But the delivery experience has been a nightmare. Almost a month later and my furniture was not delivered. Then cancelling the order and asking for a refund has been its own hassle. There is a lack of quality between their in store and delivery service.
They offer great affordable options, and Abdul, who assisted us, was absolutely exceptional. His help made our experience even better. Highly recommend!
I’m officially done with Ashley’s! I bought a couch about four years ago, and let me tell you, it was a saga. It took six months to arrive, and then just a couple of months later, one of the pieces broke. I thought I was smart for getting insurance, but when the tech came out, he basically said, “Sorry, not covered.” So, I ended up tossing that piece because it was completely sunk in. Fast forward to my recent experience I decided to give Ashley’s another shot and ordered a whole bedroom set: a bed, two nightstands, and two dressers, timed perfectly for our move in day. A day before delivery, I get a call saying the nightstands won’t make it. Okay, fine, I can deal with that. But then, on delivery day, I find out that both dressers are broken! I had to refuse them, and now I’m being told that everything else won’t arrive for over two weeks. This whole experience has been such a hassle, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend Ashley’s to anyone. Save yourself the headache!

I cannot speak highly enough about Shae. She was sweet and knowledgeable, and she worked so hard to try to fit my very odd and small apartment. I even sent her the measurements of my hallways/entry, and the next day when I came back for my appointment, she had checked their full inventory to see what would fit and had the list of options ready to go based on my preferences. Everyone else in the store is also attentive and knowledgeable; I have never had such a great experience shopping for furniture!
10/8/24 Update: The store was very accommodating and corrected the prior negative experience. They gave us a discount on the initial purchase due to the experience and were very apologetic. We received our new furniture all in great condition! We are grateful to the customer service team at Ashleys for acknowledging their errors and making it right for their customers. Errors happen, things get damaged sometimes but what’s important is how the company handles it and if they correct their errors accordingly and Ashleys has done this! We are enjoying our furniture and LOVE IT!!! 9/19/24 Update: The furniture was delivered today and all couch pieces had some form of damage. Additionally, my dining table also has a damage. I’m EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! We ordered 4 living room pieces, 1 was delayed delivery and 3 were brought for delivery with some form of damage. Ordered a dining room set and a left for the table was also damage. This is CRAZY! Both Miguel and Donnie were very helpful, patient and pleasant to work with. My husband and I went home very happy with our purchase! The lady helping with finance (maybe Dana) was also very nice. Everyone was nice and helpful! Would highly recommend!
I came in today and Zana helped me in a very emergency situation. There was mold under my sofa cushions that I bought over a year ago. So was so patient and kind. She took the time and effort to solve the immediate problem. We decided would be better to order new Sofa. She was able obtain information and have delivery for Saturday 08-31-24. She was the answer I needed. I will be working with her in near future. Zana is the person one needs everyday.

I was promised they would wrap the bed for transport when I asked for details if I were to buy.. when I came to pick it up they said per policy they don't wrap.. After making the sale.. they can't be texted or messaged.. I had to get forwarded to New Haven to be assisted.. and it's not an interest free loan.. it's a credit card with 0% interest for 18 mos.. they lied through their teeth! Update. I appreciate Ashley customer service for handling my concerns. I will give credit where it is due. It took some time.. but it was accomplished.. thanks again..

Jesse was great sales person, he is the reason I’m not pushing more into this. The manager not so much. Made a deal to give us a free bed cover if we bought today instead of us going out and looking at other stores. Come to find out they still charged us for it. Didn’t notice it till it was delivered and signed for. Threw away the original receipt. Oh well live and learn. Last time I’ll shop anything Ashley. Edit for the reply below: they admitted they changed the price of other items to cover the price. Almost $100. After telling us it was free. So warning to others about how this business operates. I have email from them as proof.
Jesse Brown is very courteous and helpful young man. I was looking for a lift recliner and he found one online for me. He also suggested putting 2 ends of a sectional together to make the perfect loveseat. I will definitely go back to him and refer my family and friends to him.

Three attempts at delivery. Three days I've sat home for nothing. Had to refuse half the merchandise the first time due to damage and no-shows the next two attempts. Total waste of time and money. Nobody at the store is of any help after you purchase. Never again.

I had a wonderful experience at the Ashley Store and the delivery process. I had the pleasure of meeting Keilon at the Ashley store. Keilon went over every piece of furniture with me that I liked. From the price to the benefits of each to piece according to what I wanted. I finally decided on what I wanted two hour later. Then we went over the protection plan and the delivery dates. I picked a date that worked for me. I received a text to confirm my date a week before and also the day before. I was very impressed with that. To top it off I received a call from Ashley automotive service telling me the driver was 10 minutes away. Then I received a cal from the driver stating he was 5 minutes away, I waited till I heard a truck and went out sided to show him what door to deliver to. The drivers was very pleasant and courteous. They put the piece where I wanted and put the sofa together. In my 30 years of shopping and receiving deliveries, I have never had such a great experience. Like what I received in Ashley’s store and the delivery process.My rocking reclining electric chair is coming next. I received my Sofa today. I am grateful and very very happy. I was Wowed by the whole experience.
Purchased 7 piece sofa set back in October Of 2023. I was told everything was in stock which was the only reason I made the purchase but it was all lies after lies. Finally received them after 3 months of wait. Horrible horrible service in the Milford office. Managers wouldn’t return phone calls after several messages left. Never will do business again!!

I will agree with the sentiment that many other reviewers have expressed which is that this place is fine albeit slightly aggressive when it comes to sales until you’ve made your purchase through them. Once they have your money unfortunately they do not provide even the most basic level of customer service. We purchased our couch on Sunday evening and there was some confusion even during the sales process the salesperson initially said that the entirety of Connecticut was within the delivery area and then at checkout realized we were actually “out of range” and that there would be an additional up charge of $250 on top of the existing delivery fee to deliver to us. Luckily they were able to wave the additional fee when we intended to walk away from the purchase. After we finalized the deal is when things went from mediocre to awful. The sales person we were working with said that we would not be able to get a delivery date until the next day due to being out of range however assured us he’d put in the request that evening and we’d get a definite date the next morning but that the delivery would be within the next two weeks. Monday evening we called back as we had not heard anything at that point we were initially routed through a call center who told us the request for delivery had in fact not been put in. The agent at the call center routed us to the actual store, the person in the store confirmed there was no request and that they’d reach out to us no later than 6pm that same evening. We heard nothing from them. We then waited until Tuesday evening in the hopes that they would proactively call us either with a delivery date or at the very least an explanation that there was a hold up and they were working to fix. Just before the business closed we called Tuesday and finally spoke to our actual sales representative who said that the request had been raised on Sunday and he was unsure as to why we didn’t have a date, but not to worry, he’d call us back by the end of the day or Wednesday morning at the latest. In a shocking twist of events Wednesday at 5:30 we still hadn’t heard anything. At this point we were frustrated by the lack of even the most basic customer service and called to cancel our order. While on the phone in the process of cancelling we got a representative from the actual store again and as soon as I mentioned that I wanted to cancel our purchase within SECONDS they were able to give us a delivery date. At that point we opted to move forward with the cancellation anyways as the delivery date offered would be almost a full month after purchase. We were told we would receive a confirmation cancellation email within 20 minutes of the call. As of writing this review despite having cancelled we have not received a confirmation or the refund. We wouldn’t have cancelled if there had been literally any communication to us even in regards to a delay but they gave us the run around, lied to us, and refused to assist us in obtaining our purchase. We have already found and purchased a couch elsewhere and I recommend to anyone looking for furniture to do the same. Upon shopping around we were able to find options that were similar (and at the same or better quality) for a fraction of the price. Discussing this story recently almost everyone we told had a similar experience with Ashley. I cannot emphasize enough how much I would recommend furniture shopping quite literally anywhere else as you’ll get the same or better products for less money and with better service.
If I could give no stars I would. They help you find what you’re looking for and are super pleasant UNTIL you sign the papers. Then they avoid you at all costs. I’ve reached out 3 times about a delivery date and they have failed to call me back. Each time saying they would find out and let me know. Then I canceled my order and was told I’d receive a confirmation letter in my email… well you guessed it. No email after 24 hours. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE.
We look at furniture at other major retailers and the process and be extremely overwhelming if you’re not looking for some really specific. My wife and I decided to stop in Ashley’s Furniture in Milford, CT. As soon as we waked in the door we were greeted by Manilay V. She was very friendly, asked questions as to what we were looking for. She did an awesome job to find what we were looking for and made the purchase process easy. Highly recommend her and would buy from her again.

Absolutely horrendous experience. They're sweet as pie when you're purchasing but don't want to know you when you need help after. They don't answer the phone so you have to go in whenever you need to speak to someone. My couch was delivered badly damaged and it's taking months to get another one. I'll never do this again.

I was used to getting furniture at the store you need an allen wrench for, but the deals at Ashley for the holiday season were to good to pass up. I'm a no-nonsense shopper but there was zero pressure from the sales staff when I walked in and zoomed around. I worked with Kaden who was very impressive in his willingness to deal with my questions. I also lost my phone briefly and everyone helped me find it. I knocked one star off only because I called ahead for a product and was told it was in stock but it wasn't when I went to the store.

Horrible experience with very little resolve to solve my problem after failing to hold up their end of the bargain. I purchased a couch for $4k that later had significant delays. Corporate informed me that I could call the store to get up to a 15% dicsount off my order for the additional hassle. After speaking to someone at the store, they spoke to their manager and came back and told me that they could honor the request for an additional 15% off. Annoying that my couch was significantly delayed but okay, they seemed to have made it right with an appropriate discount. A few weeks later, I got less than 5% refunded to my card. Hmm...that's not what they told me on the phone? I've now spoken to multiple people who either never return my calls or tell me there isn't anything they can do because their system won't let them apply more discounts. If it's truly a system problem, why did you verbally agree (and get manager approval) to give me 15% off earlier? Look, I'd have been much happier if they originally told me they could only give me 5%, but don't tell me your going to give me a discount and then don't do it, it's dishonest and makes me not want to shop at Ashley ever again. Just do what you promise, it's not that hard.

We had 2 visits to the store. One just to browse and then we came back with measurements. From the moment you walk in, you are cheerfully greeted. (Katherine is the sweetest) Not once did I feel like the staff were "vultures". It seemed more like meeting new friends and hanging out and chatting about what you want your house to look like. We received personal attention from Ben and Derek, both floor managers and the wonderful Jesse. And Ashley even remembered our names from our first visit and joined in on the fun. They take the time to get to know you which in turn helps pair with your needs of your home. These employees love their jobs. Their bosses including the owners love them and genuinely care about them, their futures and goals. This transpired to unbelievable customer service. We ended up purchasing a sectional and a new mattress. They are all so knowledgeable and even the store manager joined in. It really was like a family and they each wanted to help us and each other. Many different financing options were explained and our delivery is only a couple weeks away. I thought this was going to be a stressful situation and it turned out to be so much fun. Thanks to all of the staff!!
I have been looking for a couch for over a year and went a couple times to Ashley’s in Orange and wasn’t sold due to the fact of pushy sales. Came to find out there was an outlet store down the road so I stopped in and met Jesse. He was professional, knowledgeable and HONEST. I knew leaving the store I would be back to get what I needed. If I could give zero stars, I would! Terrible, terrible experience dealing with delivery following the in store visit to purchase furniture. They have poor customer service and corporate was rude, over-talking me and no help. Initial delivery date was pushed back a week and when they told me I would be given complimentary furniture pick up services (for old items) for the delay/inconvenience, it was not noted on the delivery order and not honored at time of delivery… furniture was taken back due to removal needed prior to new pieces being received and caused for another almost week delay. One of the worst experiences during what’s supposed to be an exciting one. Never again!
Jesse was patient, informative, attentive and exceptional. Went to several other stores for a king sized bed and nowhere compared. Highly suggest visiting this location for any furniture needs.

Do not Ever shop at Ashley’s Furniture Outlet in Milford. I dealt with the manager Erika who has no idea what she is doing. I purchased a couch to be delivered. I had to delay the delivery and then decided just to cancel the entire order. I called Erika to cancel the order. She said I could not. Ok so then I called the credit card to dispute the purchase. It cancelled on Ashley’s side but not on their Synchony Banks side. They basically told me this is my issue. Meanwhile I have no couch and $3000 on credit outstanding. Their credit card and store are not in sync together. Erika texted me today that she is out of this and operations will contact me. Terrible terrible customer service. Now I have to be the one to fight this. She will no longer talk to me or have her district manager call me. Nor will they answer my phone calls. So I have to go to Ashley’s. Safe yourself the headache 🤕

Great collections and welcoming environment
Store is nice. Selection is good. Problem is they’re overbearing sales person Steven. Go in, say we are browsing. (We were looking for a couch & possibly dresser) He proceeded to show us the layout of the store - slightly annoying but fine but he WOULD NOT LEAVE US ALONE. HE FOLLOWED US ALLLLLLL OVER THE STORE. Every time we sat down on ANYTHING. There he was. He made the experience ridiculously uncomfortable & I could not get outta there fast enough. Told another associate that someone needs to have a talk with him because what the hell. What was gonna be a 45 min trip, relaxing and mulling over the options turned into 10 min of trying to lose the guy in the store.
Friendly service, nice store layout, management helpful with information, Luis was professional and courteous, answered all my questions, pricing was fair for the quality, good shopping experience. They are NOT associated with the Orange Ashley store, and that’s a good thing, my experience there last year was horrific. Nice to have another Ashley option in the area.
I walked in just wanting to walk around and was greeted by Ben. We ended up buying a wonderful couch. The couch was a great price and it was a delight working with Ben. He made the whole buying experience simple and easy. Ben knew the product inside and out and was very personable. Steve welcomed us at the door with a friendly and want to help attitude. He is very well versed in Ashley’s manufacturing, products and the warranty offered. The whole staff that helped us for that matter, all very friendly and helpful. Steve took his time and gave us the opportunity to see multiple dining room sets, even twice over. Removing and adding leafs and sitting at different parts of the table to really make sure it would be something my wife and I would enjoy.. all without feeling like we were being bothersome or pushing for us to buy. Personable, considerate, knowledgeable and patient service from Steve.. plus a great deal helped to sell us on our new dinning room table for our new home.
