I saw the Biscoe performance power reclining sofa and love seat online, went into the Newington store and barely had to see anything else. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and sat down. So comfortable and has nice reclining features. My saleswoman “V” was so nice, not pushy, and did what she could with the price without me even asking. I was expecting a longer couch shopping day but this experience made it easy!

Jess and Scott were AWESOME to work with. Jess and Scott helped us purchase our new dining set and were extremely patient as we were very indecisive and kept going back and forth between two sets. To add an additional layer of patience, we had our newborn son with us who needed to be fed and changed and tended to a few times. They gave us our space, checked in on us, and thoroughly answered all of our questions we had. They were fair and reasonable with their prices and gave us a great deal. Overall, our experience was seamless and pleasant and we’ll definitely go back to Ashley for any future furniture needs.
You have to pay $150.00 for delivering 1 chair. Too high! Plus they do not give you a time frame for delivery! They give you what THEY want of THEIR time and day! I won't be going there anymore! If you pay that much for delivery,you should have time and day options to your convenience! It's NOT free delivery. And yes,the delivery men should get paid but not $150.00 for a reclining chair! 1 item only! Ridiculous! Highway robbery! Don't shop there!

This was a ridiculous experience and one I'll never do again. I went to these guys to buy furniture for a new home. I wound up buying furniture for the master bedroom and dining room, which was all I could buy from them because we were continually told items weren't in stock. Six weeks later and several calls made, we still didn't have the furniture. I even left a message for the manager, who never called back. I finally made a call and wasn't all that nice, which lead to them actually putting the manager on the line. I don't remember his name, but he did work to get the problem corrected and I received the furniture today. So, whoever that was, thank you. On the flip side, I shouldn't have had to make several calls, shouldn't of had to wait 6 weeks with zero communication from the store, and shouldn't have had to finally call the store ranting and raving to finally get the manager on the line. If there was a problem with stock, the store should have properly communicated with me. We received no calls, at all. They took our money and just disappeared until I made enough noise. As a comparison, we went to Raymour & Flannigans the same day we were at Ashley's and the experience was remarkably different. We bought two rooms there as well and 7 days later, all the furniture we purchase was delivered and they communicated with us as things progressed. I certainly will never go back to Ashley's because buying furniture shouldn't quite frankly be a stressful experience. That said, I do want to thank the manager of the store again. It would have been better if he actually returned my call the first time, but I do appreciate him hearing me out and finally getting the situation resolved so my family and I can actually sleep at the new house.

We were in a tricky situation as the original couch didn’t fit through our door. Scott patiently showed us several options that would fit and also fit our preferences. Solid furniture for a solid price. Watch for the sales and/or financing offers. They do price match. Derek was our salesman and he was kind, knowledgeable, and personable. Also ex-military which is a bonus in my book. I would recommend looking him up.

If a customer walks in and the staff is occupied, he steps in to help right away! The sales associates are knowledgeable and friendly without being overwhelming. It's helpful to communicate the type of assistance you need, such as: 1. "I’m just browsing and unsure, so feel free to let me look around." 2. "I have a general idea of what I want but would like to see my options." 3. "I know exactly what I need and would appreciate immediate assistance to find it quickly." When visiting the store, it’s important to research and understand the current promotions, as they frequently change and can impact the already great monthly plans. This fluctuation is due to how financing institutions work, not a reflection of the store itself. Additionally, be sure to thoroughly review the service agreement. While it may seem a bit expensive, after careful consideration and my experience as a former sales manager, this maintenance agreement covers significantly more than others I’ve encountered. I highly recommend communicating its benefits to customers! As for areas of improvement, the in-store catalog screens could be much better—the dim lighting makes it hard for customers to see the details. I’m certain that my 3.5k sale would’ve been 3x more, if I would’ve been able to see the catalog while having an associate was available to me for questions. Sales associates could also benefit from more knowledge about inventory and decor. Remember, customers often do their own research and are well-informed, so honesty is crucial. Thank you all, I will gladly answer any questions! By the way, this store is so clean and inviting, my 11 year old took a little nap and became decor and let me shop…. Jennifer Rivera De Leon

Went to purchase a power recliner today. Met James Sirois at the door and he directed us to the section we needed. James is the sales manager ant he respectfully let my wife and I take our time and try out many of the chairs. Finally we went over to him and asked some questions about a model we were interested in. James was very helpful and found us the color we wanted and it was priced better than the floor model that we checked out. Disappointed with Ashley’s.. waited all day Saturday on a bed we ordered after waiting a month for it to get in the warehouse and they never delivered. Called and said we never confirmed delivery even though voicemail they left said no need to call unless wanted to change delivery date. They want to charge us another delivery fee for the delivery that never happened!!! Makes no sense. We just bought a house and was planning on furnishing our house with the company and will no longer be doing that . Also, horrible customer service the guy we talked to did not care to resolve issues and said nothing he could do. Eventually after telling him more and more about his customer service he said he would do delivery for half price? Again why?Also, i thought you said there was nothing you can do? there is but you are choosing not too. It was your miscommunication not ours! Make it right

Absolutely worse experience! Came in to browse inventory for a new house my spouse and I purchased. 5 minutes in a manager sends an employee to the back to see what we were up too. On 9/1/23, I purchased the king size Hyanna bedroom set from the Newington CT Ashley home furniture store. I spent a total of 999.99 on the platform storage bed with drawers. The order finally came in on 10/28/23. I was informed that I paid for delivery and installation. The 2 individuals who installed my bed initially, did so incorrectly. Ashley uses a privately owned random company for their deliveries. They “forgot” to install the center beam to support all of the terrible quality slats laying horizontally. I was told this bed did not require a box spring, so our mattress was placed directly on top of the bed frame. The 2, 1inch by 1inch pegs to support the center of the bed made holes in our mattress and scratched our hard wood floor. My boyfriend(200lbs) and I (145lb) were sleeping in a large dip. I reported this initially on 1/19/24. I was told to lift our mattress off and take photos and videos of the issues. After receiving the photos, they sent a technician out and this man was not able to repair our bed at the time of this first initial visit. He did not bring any new materials with him. We booked an additional visit. This time, the technician brought new slats with them. They removed the old slats and the technician who came out said “The installers must have been crazy to leave the bed this way”. He installed new slats, left the old ones for us to discard on our own and installed a very thin two pieces of “wood” as a center support beam. We accepted this, thinking okay- now the bed is installed how it was supposed to be. Now it is March and yet again with just a small movement in bed of tossing and turning over, we hear a loud drop and it sounds as though the bed will collapse. I spoke with Bob Ahearn many times, the VP of the store and he has failed to offer me any solution except to keep having technicians out to complete the exact same procedure. Now we have slept on an unsafe, unsupportive, terribly made bed for 5 months. I have requested an alternative option be provided to us such as a metal bed frame or to return the bed and be reimbursed but this has been refused over and over. This experience has been exhausting and extremely unprofessional. Be aware of the risk you take when you make a large purchase from this store.
I would never recommend anyone to shop at this store. we have had a terrible experience with management and their return policy or even customer satisfaction. I purchased a bed that was very poor quality. technicians came out to install and did not even put the support beam in which was bent and scratched my hardwood floors ripped several holes through my $4000 mattress when I called the manager all they wanted to do was keep sending out technicians they would not even replace with a bed frame to help me at all. The manager was very rude and I would never recommend anyone to shop and experience what I have gone through and terrible quality furniture !!!!!

It’s nothing but garbage. A brand new piece of furniture should not have a technician coming out more than once. Absolutely ridiculous. If you want to back your company, you would satisfy the customer and you do not nothing I tried calling the store. Several times manager does not answer the phone they say there’s a 72 hour exchange policy, which is ridiculous a brand new bed was purchased was not put together properly several times it’s very flimsy. A huge inconvenience also damaged a $4000 mattress and scratched my daughters hardwood floors The company will pay the price one way or another When an attorney is involved ! furniture from your store is nothing but garbage warning to everyone, please do not buy furniture from the store

I was greeted by Jerry who was courteous and very pleasant. He directed me to the areas where I would find Bedroom furniture. He gave me the opportunity to look around without hovering which I much appreciated. Jerry would check on me on and off. When I needed him he was right there. I ended up purchasing a dresser and a nightstand which was my goal for the day. The pricing was exactly what I wanted to pay. I will be returning and will make sure to look for Jerry again.

Ashley Furniture has a bully of an employee that works there. Last Saturday I went there to buy a mattress and frame. When I walked in I was greeted by this very nice gentleman Jesse. He asked what I was coming in for to buy. When I told him, he turned around to grab something when I was approached by this Spanish woman. I think her name was Jeanette. When she started asking me questions I politely told her I was waiting for Jesse. She proceeds to tell me that he is new and has no experience. I insisted on having him help me. After he showed me a few mattresses I was walking around when I turned around and found him on the floor. I looked around to see if anyone was helping him up. I look over and find that Spanish woman pointing and laughing at him. Upon hearing another customer ask if he was ok, it took a minute for another employee to come over and help him up. This woman should not have been laughing at the employee who fell. She seems like an employee who likes to steal other employees customers. I would highly recommend AGAINST shopping at Ashley Furniture on the Berlin Turnpike. I ended up buying from Lisa in Manchester

Unfortunately our bathroom FLOODED and we had sewer water ALL over our living room. I mean the ENTIRE floor was covered in the bad bad water. Like even the couch (well loved indeed) was violated by the stenchy liquid. Anyways, we decided to go to Ashley’s as we have always had a great experience here locally in the store and also with the products themselves. We were immediately greeted by Taz. Her warm and welcoming smile put us at ease. We told her about our stinky wet wet story and she understood right away. She recommended the protection plan for us. Since we have 3 little humans that are our responsibility to raise and instill great and good behaviors in we acquiesced. It was a great choice. The sectional recommendation by Taz is what we went with. Adriana and Angel finished the process and they were pleasant and professional. Adriana disclosed EVERYTHING that was on the contract that of course no one reads. But it allowed me to feel secure in my purchase and quite frankly in my life as a whole. Spending almost 4K on a comfy place to park my man buns and the fruit of my loins isn’t an easy decision. But Taz, Adriana, and Angel were a breeze to deal with If you happen to need any furniture I highly recommend visiting the Ashley’s Furniture location in Newington, CT. This is our 5th time purchasing from Ashley over the past decade. We have purchased now 3 sectional sofas, a dining room set and a bedroom set. All items have held their quality and appearance so nicely. The prices are fairly competitive for their quality. Sales people don’t feel pushy or too eager to make a sale- just helpful and knowledgeable. We worked with James this most recent time and he was very willing to help us figure out plans, moving furniture around the store to help us create our vision.

What was I thinking, not going for the adjustable? SO comfortable and good for the body! I bought one with the adjustable base. We chatted as he educated me on these mattresses. This is the second time that I have purchased furniture from this location and it has always been a great experience both times. Most recently my mom purchased a mattress and headboard set. Being in customer service for almost 10 years myself, credit most certainly has to be given. During my visit July 22nd I came to Newingtons location in search for a new couch. (Already picking out the one I wanted although waited for weeks to actually check to see if they had it still available.) Upon entry I was immediately greeted, any questions I had there in that moment was answered all before we could even go take a look at the couch. Expressing my concerns about credit cards she was thorough in providing the information needed for leasing options available to me; credit card free of course :). After getting confirmation of leasing approval it seems we were both in search of a well needed conversation and we did just that, all while enjoying and getting a feel of how my new couch would be for long periods of sitting. I can’t say anything other than thank you. I was initially hesitant as I just sold my house and have a couch but it didn’t fit in my new apartment so had to put that one in storage. Bittersweet, who wants to buy a couch when you already have one you know? However, am really happy with my choice and 1st time experience at this location. Also, my first time leasing so she was sure to let me know of all she knew and more of what they had available for us customers. Great job and hats off to you Alice, you were awesome. I would give them a negative star if it was an option. My daughter ordered some furniture at the new Ashley store in Milford CT. One of the items a large sectional sofa with a large matching ottoman. When they delivered it, wrapped in plastic, she noted stains on many of the couch sections, both front and back. The driver noted it and said they'd either exchange it or send someone to clean it. When she followed up, she was told that since she accepted it, there was nothing they could do! Keep in mind she also purchased the extended warranty!!! Finally, after a lot of time and aggravation, both on the phone and in person, she found someone who was willing to replace the stained sections. In my opinion, this shouldn't even be a "thing"..... You are delivered a stained, yet brand new, piece of furniture, extended warranty or not, there should be NO question about the store making it right. Just a head's up warning you not to shop there, EVER!!!

Taz was so helpful until the end. Some items were not available for delivery as soon as possible. So we had to make so adjustments to the original order. She still made it a priority to place the order for one item that was not available for delivery in the coming weeks and keep me updated once the item is in warehouse and ready for a shipment date.
So disappointed with this store spent $1200 on a mattress had it for 3 weeks started killing my back wanted to exchange it they said all sales final and hung up on me. I would never recommend this store to anyone

We purchased a chair and a half which was communicated to be a chair plus and ottoman by the sales rep we worked with and when the item was delivered it was just an oversized chair. We communicated multiple times that the ottoman was included before purchasing the chair and it was confirmed it was included. When we communicated this they stated the best we can do is give you $50 off the ottoman and then one of the reps showed us a sign and told us we were wrong even though we know how to read and the sales rep was completely in the wrong. Don’t shop here
I bought a tv stand online for $200 and wasn't happy with it. I called customer service and they said to just bring it to whoever delivered it and that shipping would be on me. They wanted to charge me $130 just to return it, almost the same price i paid for the stand. They said they would only refund me after they got it back but i would have to call them to make sure i even got my money back or they wouldn't even let me know. Don't buy with them online!

This review reflects the online experience only. I did not visit an Ashley store.That said, I was satisfied with my purchase. The storage unit was a bit pricey but came fully assembled, so to me it was worth it. The only negative experience was that on the day it was supposed to be delivered, it spent the whole day traveling around in the truck only to be returned to the warehouse and delivered the following day. But that's a FedEx home delivery problem, I suppose.

I would have given this store a 5 star review for the sales lady was very nice and informative but I went to pick up my furniture which was very expensive one piece was damaged even though I was mildly compensated for the damage I still went ahead an ordered a new piece to complete my set upon completion of the sale I was not informed that I had to pay any additional fees to pick up my furniture at the newington location i was contacted by the customer service representative and was told that even if it wasn't explained to me that I had no choice but to pay this fee to pick up my furniture or travel 45min to their warehouse I am a reasonable person but when I asked to speak to another manager I was hung up on I will be taking this to a higher representative of Ashley furniture and will not be making any future purchases with this company and I suggest that anyone who thinks about purchasing from Ashley Furniture be very aware that customers mean nothing beyond the first purchase.
Nice stuff but way over priced
Ashley furniture does not stand by their furniture. I spent alot of money on a bedroom set with the mechanical mattress mover and a sectional sofa. I purchase from Newington, CT. First, The side tables started peeling paint 2 weeks after I had it. The dresser and beureau draws all were put together incorrectly and wouldn't close. Less than a week later a draw breaks. 3 months later the beureau starts peeling paint on the top. I don't eat or drink in my room. This was not a result of liquid. This is horrendous. We had to try to fix the draws but were unsuccessful. The mechanical mattress mover clicks very hard when it moves into the straight position. Sounds like it's breaking and we are not heavy people. When you have your head elevated, if your partner coughs or moves the whole head portion bounces up and down! It's horrible quality! All of it! If I could have returned it I would of! I could not get anyone on the phone to return my calls. It took me 13 weeks to get all the pieces to my furniture after 5 weeks of run around after the "delivery date" that kept expiring without my furniture delivery. I also bought a sofa sectional,it was of very low quality. It doesn't sit level and the pillows are all sunken in and now wearing out! I bought this furniture all at the same time a year ago. I should have shopped elsewhere. This wasmy first time shopping there. The customer service is less than medicre and unnacceptable. They never want to return your call or refund your money. I'm posting this now because my experience was terrible and thousands of dollars wasted and it was left unsaid for a year. The more this furniture breaks down the more foolish I feel for purchasing from Ashley and I do not want anyone else to have this same experience. Their quality of furniture is extremely low, knockoff quality. Their customer service quality is unacceptable. I will not be shopping there again.
I have to say that this was a very pleasant visit to the Newington location. We had a very horrible experience at another furniture location. The customer service we received from the previous location was inappropriate of any business, it was just atrocious. The experience we were met with at the Newington location was immensely professional. We had the pleasure of dealing with Tasha on the phone and she took every measure possible to ensure our concerns and needs were heard and validated. She went above and beyond for potential customers. We chose to go to the Newington location due to Tasha’s skill, grace, and commitment. She handed our concerns over to Johnathan who then treated us with respect and professionalism that is not often seen. Johnathan handled our requirements with diligence and clemency ultimately reinforcing a positive experience emerging from one that had began with many obstacles.
My wife and I needed new living room furniture and we went here. Before we even went to store we knew exactly what we wanted and filled out all paperwork on the line and got approved for financing. Went to store walked in and in 10 minutes found set and and started paperwork for purchase. An HOUR and a half later we were done .

We bought a bedroom set and mattress. Started with the bedroom set and as we were walking around started to look at mattresses. The salesperson who is also the manager started to show us different ones and we were trying them out. As I started to speak with my wife about my back issues and why we should really shop around the salesperson piped in with "you have 30 days to return it anyway". I asked "you're saying if we get it home and it doesn't work we can simply return it?". He said yes and "if you get it home, try it, and it isnt going to work, you can simply call us and return it". I said to my wife that based on that let's try it. Fast forward 2 weeks and my back was killing me and my sleep sucked. I called and spoke to the manager who said " I must have been mistaken as there isn't a return policy on the mattress but let me call the warehouse in Enfield and see what we can do because of the confusion. I called the next day and he said nothing he can do and that he never told us that we could return it. Obviously the guy just needed the sale and said whatever he had to in order to get it...
Website does NOT give you what you search for..waste of time
My husband and I purchased a dining set with six chairs and a table from Ashley furniture in Newington CT. We had a not so good experience unfortunately, we had chairs that were damaged the table wasn’t exactly ideal it had notches that you could feel. We tried to resolve with a customer service call during delivery they said it was a technician issue even though the furniture was brand new so we refused a couple of the chairs. Big issue is there’s a complete disconnect from the store and customer service as far as policy and how things work we are not pleased with the furniture we received. We will not be shopping there again the quality is not as expected and it was very disappointing since we spent a lot of money there. If I had a redo, I would definitely shop elsewhere. Once you purchase no one cares. If you spend a lot on furniture you expect not only good quality but good customer service. That is far from what we received. Bottom line is they do not stand by their furniture.

This Ashley HomeStore is the worst of the worst. They will lie, cheat and steal. The quality is horrible and they delivered broken furniture 4 times and even tried to sneak Showroom Floor Samples, instead of new. They refuse to refund me and said I bought it so I must accept deliveries until they get it right! Really? Ashley is selling a beautiful line called realyn. The coffee and end table literally chipped apart within one year. They did not stand behind their product and neither did the so called insurance.
The sales rep John was courteous. Informative and helped me get the best price.
Today, I ended up with an positive experience with sales associate Clint. I was in this location to view the floor model of a bed because a different location I had placed an order for had a delay on delivery. I thoroughly explained my situation of needing a bedroom set by the end of this week and Clint understood. He went over and beyond to meet and exceed my expectations. He is knowledgeable and an effective communicator. If you want an honest and quality sales associate please ask for Clint.

Terrible furniture terrible customer service. I had ordered a 4,000 dollar bed set in Oct 2021 didn’t receive it until February 2022. It came with a 1 year warranty which they say ends in October even though I didn’t receive my bed til February. & ever since the bed was delivered it’s been broken with no fix still. The middle bed post has broken multiple times and everytime a new bed post and service is scheduled it takes up to two months to get them to fix it again. I was better off with my ikea bed set that was half the price. I have been sleeping in a ditch in the middle of my bed for the past year that has caused nothing but extreme back pain. & when you call customer service they don't help. I would not recommend buying any furniture here it will be a waste of time an money.
I was so happy to finally buy what I thought was quality furniture. Was going in to buy a sleeper sofa. The salesman had an emergency and I was left with Tony. I saw a bedroom set that I fell in love with. Got that delivered. They did take care of the damaged mirror. I also, found a sleeper sofa to go with my recliner. After spending close to $6,000 and Weeks later when I finally received the sofa ( which I tried to cancel but, they wanted a restock fee for something I didn't have ) it was damaged and I told the guy I think it's the wrong color. I went away on vacation. Then I was ill. 3 weeks to the day and the couch hadn't been used. I called and couldn't get through. I then email customer care that it's the wrong color. Sent pics of my recliner. They sent me gray instead of chestnut. They are more interested in collecting restocking fees than making customers happy. I refuse to pay a restock and I want what I thought I ordered. They are real sneaky there. It even took 1 hour to write up a sales slip. I should have ran .... But, here I am with a couch that's the wrong color. I did call my credit card company. They reversed the charge for now. And, started a dispute for me.... There is no customer service here. Bob the Vice President is a joke! I'm a commissioned salesperson. I get my quarterly check this Friday. I still want a new dining room set and coffee table. That will be bought elsewhere..
Don't waste your time with Ashley, either here or in Manchester. (Both under the same owner.) They seem nice and some salespeople are genuinely helpful, but we have struggled with them from beginning to end. They don't represent their policies correctly, communicating with them after making a purchase is a nightmare, delivery people are rude, and warehouse disorganized. They only want to get as much of your money as they can, and don't care if you actually end up happy.

My son went into this store with his girlfriend to purchase furniture for their apartment. They walk around and spent 25 minutes in the store and not one sales person assisted them, probably cause they were young adults. Needless to say, they gave their business to another furniture which provided them with great customer service.

This was the undoubtedly the worst sales experience of my life. After waiting 6 weeks for a couch to be put back in stock, the delivery team couldn't fit the last piece through our door, despite our home fitting the specification ASHLEY provided us. However, they also refused to attempt our back door entrance because it was 5pm on a Friday and they wanted to go home. So they refused to leave the couch there.We return to Ashleys to sort it out and they inform us we not only are expected to pay the delivery fee, but due to their incompetence, we need to pay a 30% restocking fee. All because they gave us incorrect information and are a logistically incompetent company.

About two months ago my wife and I went into the store and purchased these items. They where delivered on 4/27/2022. As the pictures show they where left in its packaging. Upon ordering these items we paid for it to be set up our paperwork shows that we paid for that. I spoke with the staff at the store and they were helpful enough to give me the information so that I can submit a complaint to customer service and they told me that I can't get refunded when I clearly paid for it to be set up. I explained that I paid for it and it's on paperwork. The delivery team ignored that and asked someone who didn't know we paid for it was told he would put the legs on the sofa but to set up the sofa in the corner. The delivery team brought in the items and left right after. My wife and I will never show our faces in any Ashley furniture ever again.
I went in today looking for a few pieces of furniture. The female salesperson was great! As far as the two boys at the front door, they sat around looking disinterested, barely welcomed me in and then treated me like I was there to rob them as opposed to a potential customer. As a former Director of Sales for a fortune 500 company, I thought they were pathetic!! They seemed better suited for McDonald's. I spent my money somewhere else.

The store looks amazing and has an almost endless variety of home furniture for every individual. Associate Michele was very helpful and patient in helping us choose what we were looking for, Michele was very knowledgeable about every piece of furniture, pricing and functionality, after making our choice Michele got us through the paper work very quickly. They don't back what they say when it's not what you think you bought would never purchase anything there again
The store is beautiful and I love their furniture. I had the best sales person, Patti. She was sweet, polite and very knowledgeable. The problem was the store cancellation policy: you have 72 hours to cancel. After this period, they will charge a 30% CANCELLATION FEE. The delivery estimate for my sofa was first week of March but their policy says they have up to 26 WEEKS TO DELIVER IT! If I try to cancel it before the 26 weeks, they would charge me a 30% fee. No joke! Buy the furniture online. The online policy just charge a fee if the furniture is delivered. The store is independent and make their own policies. Please don’t agree with this cancelation policy. It’s unfair and will give you a big headache.
I ordered a couch that they told me was going to be delivered “first week of January” Ofcourse i call and they keep pushing the date back and back saying it’s “in the warehouse” then “oh we don’t have it yet” “oh we’re waiting on the ottoman”. I understand shipping is delayed but they definitely tell you what you want to hear to get a sale, they kind of scam you considering Stan originally charged me way more for the couch than it was listed for online and way more for shipping until i saw this binder they had laying out with a way lower shipping price. Now when I call for updates they don’t even answer the phone, it’s not that I want to be annoying but i spent a lot of money and just want to be updated when I will receive my order as they keep changing their answer every time. Update: we finally called again and asked for corporate number, turns out they gave us a number that has nothing to do with corporate, we then got the number to the warehouse and called and by our surprise our furniture has been in the warehouse for quite sometime yet the store was telling us they still don’t have anything. We set up delivery with the warehouse and should finally be getting our set next week. *will not be coming here again for any furniture ever again
My whole experience was excellent with Ashley!! The furniture I received was exactly what I ordered and the delivery was painless and professional! The whole process was guided with expertise from Jonathan Rome, the sales manager that helped me from beginning to end, as well as following up afterwards to insure I was satisfied. I would recommend Ashley and Mr Rome without hesitation to anyone. During these times of extended delays and shortages in everything they made it easy as possible.

I ordered a desk in October 2021 for my fiancé’s birthday and was told by the associate there “should” be no delays and the desk will arrive the week of November 9, 2021. November 9, 2021 came and went with no desk and no call. I called back and Ashley’s now told me March 2022. Instead of the desk being delivered 30 days after order now it is estimated for 5 months later. If I knew it would take at least 5 months I would’ve ordered from a different store, as my fiancé is still waiting for birthday present. I understand things get delayed but delayed 4 months is a bit ridiculous especially after being told there should be no delays. This isn’t the first month of the pandemic, business know now about supply chain disruptions and how to forecast them. The customer associate who helped me had to know when I ordered the desk that it wouldn’t be ready in November 2021 and was just misleading me to make a sale. I’d recommend going with a more honest trustworthy company.
Do not ever buy anything from this store. This store gives false details. I ordered two item one month ago from the store initially they said one item is at ware house and they waiting for another item so they can deliver both thing to gather(overall time was mid January).I called them today and now they are saying they will not have anything by February. Do not buy anything from here we can understand supply chain issues but not lie. They have been lieing every-time I call.
UPDATE: It is now February 2022, 10 months after we placed our order and we STILL DO NOT HAVE OUR FURNITURE. Original Post: DO NOT SHOP HERE. I have never left a review for anything in my entire life but I am leaving one here so that no one makes the mistake of shopping here. We ordered our furniture at the beginning of May 2021. They told us to expect our order delivered by the end of May. That original date was pushed back to August then October and now it is December and we STILL do not have all the pieces we ordered. Also, they never called to let us know this, if we had not called to inquire about the status of our order we would have never known. At first we were totally understanding given COVID and supply chain issues but after multiple calls, discussions, and empty promises alas we are still waiting. In the meantime, two of our neighbors have ordered furniture from local competitors and received their items within two weeks. Please do yourselves a favor and shop somewhere else. I doubt the customer service department monitors these reviews or even cares that we had a horrible experience but if this review stops someone else from shopping here and having to go through a similar experience then this review was worth writing.
When I went in the store everyone was very professional and then with the whole Covid going on as they use as a accuse get your money supposed to get delivered between six and seven weeks finally got delivered after 12 weeks tried to call the store multiple times to figure out what was what and I got so many different stories and the manager and my sales rep were always supposed to call me back and never did I had Going to the store and figure out what was wrong and they’re saying my furniture was in a get delivered to January some pieces and I will soon as I made a big complaint miraculously it came out of thin air in my furniture is getting delivered in the next few daysAshley furniture does have a nice stuff but what I went through I don’t think I’ve ever purchase from there again because I wasn’t compensated for doing their job and all the aggravation and the stress that it caused me and having a miss work
I've ordered from this store before. Sales and customer service are always eager to sale to you. It's getting the furniture that is the issue! The delivery truck came with half my sofa only to learn through customer service the piece wasn't going to fit my pre-existing sectional. I spent over an hour on the phone when making this purchase. Had the sale rep send me photos, look up my older order to match the extra pieces only to have it not match. Let's not even start with the price discrepancy. I'm currently waiting for the store to open to see how this is going to be rectified.

Terrible customer service and business practices
Have been waiting for my coffee table that I bought from Newington, CT store in October 2020. I have been waiting for it since December 2020, and still have not received it. Today (Sep 6) the “likely” delivery date was pushed out for the umpteenth time and was given as “sometime in October”. Today again I have been offered a refund but all my furniture was bought as matches sets, so I am not willing to let go of this coffee table. A second option I was given today was to buy it again online but since it could be that a franchisee may be able to deliver it sooner, however I would not get it at the same lower price I had bought the previous one for. Neither the manager Tony nor any of the employees at the Newington, CT store are able to resolve this and conveniently gave up on me today. Be very wary of what and how you buy from this store. I would not recommend this store. The only star that they deserve is to still answer my calls and talk to me. However, after today’s discussion I am not sure whether that will stay the same. I love this place, the furniture is made of good quality nice a strong wood not the fake stuff like bobs or raymour (ewwww) the people there are very nice and do their best to make sure your leaving there happy and not feeling like you made a bad decision. Jonathan Rome was wonderful in helping us find the furniture that fit our needs. Shipping was as expected considering the delays due to COVID. We were notified the day before of our shipping window and received a call and txt message the day of with an ETA. Our original order came defective so we had to refuse the furniture but Jonathan helped us pick out something different and had no issues with our second choice. The delivery men were professional and courteous of our property. Pricing was fair and payment financing was made available. I would definitely recommend Ashley HomeStore to my friends and family.

What a great experience we had at store. Jonathan was so great with his customer service that he locked us to buy the stuff from their store. Not many people have that kind of great skills. He took care of us in great way making sure we are getting great deal along with making sure we get delivery at time during this pandemic delays. I honestly wouldn't bother going into this specific establishment . Went in today, no one greeted my father and I even though there was 3 to 4 salespersons standing near the front entrance. Stood around for almost 20 minutes because we were interested in a living room set. No one even bothered, they stare at you though. I work in customer service, there's a difference between trying to give a customer some breathing room and ignoring them entirely. Good luck earning your commission without being personable towards paying customers. To make things more of a joke, my father went in a few days prior without me to look around for a living room set and found one my family would like. The saleswoman must be new, no hard feelings towards her I'm positive she was trying her best , it's most likely the management and training that's the issue. She couldn't get correct pricing for the set, and kept going back and forth with wrong pricing. After today, while we were still in the store, I decided to check online on my phone for the exact set, turns out we would have payed an additional $300 in store for no reason. Would have waited until October for the set and would have had driven to a location almost half a hour away to pick it up. No thank you. We purchased the set online, on our own, saved almost $300-$400 dollars and gas money with the home delivery and discount they offer online.

I experienced hands down the most excellent customer service from the Manchester, CT store. From the beginning of the shopping experience to the end, the manager Angel Ramos was extremely helpful, and accommodating. He made the entire process of buying a mattress and bed frame completely stress free and easy. I had both my children with me and it took under an hour! Josh was also an extremely helpful associate and both he and Angel helped me with getting my mattress ready to bring home in no time at all. I am so unbelievably impressed by the level of professionalism and amazing customer service I received. I will be an Ashley Furniture customer for life based on this experience! So grateful and satisfied! 😊
Waterbury delivery was horrible, after receiving our products the fire place didn't fit, it was too small for the tv stand, not what we pay for. 1chair had a ugly stain and the other chair was lop sided. And bench didn't arrive because something went wrong with it. Wow! Waiting 3 months or 2 and thats the junk we get. Ashley should go out of business. Horrible delivery

Tried buying a couch from Ashley. They kept delaying the deliver date by a month a day before it was supposed to be delivered. Called customer service and they couldn't tell me if I would ever actually get the delivery. Here I am 5 months later with no couch. Would not bother buying furniture from them. You wont get it.
Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I set aside the incredibly awkward interaction when making the initial purchase (I heard way too many intimate details of the sales person's life) because I finally found the right sleeper sofa. I waited the estimated two months to call about delivery date only to find out the order was delayed an extra four months. And I hadn't been notified bc the sales person no longer worked there. It then took several calls (only one call was ever returned of the four or five they promised) to cancel the order and waive the fee. I had to hand hold the process since each person I spoke with was content with telling me a manager would call me back. Don't bother being tempted by their products, the customer service and eventually never getting a product is not worth it.
The salesman I had was very irritating, constantly trying to use high pressure sales tactics and show me a fake website to make me think I was getting an amazing deal. Apparently he didn't realize I could check their actual website on my phone. They never called to give me a delivery window and when I called the store they claimed the warehouse had phone issues. The delivery guys showed up in the time window stated but never called to let me know they were on their way. They scraped my walls up while they were bringing the couch in and were pretty rude when I asked for them to move where they placed it (not at all centered on the rug). The only pros were they had a decent couch in stock and it did arrive fairly quickly. I don't think I'd shop here again, certainly not with the same salesman.
The buying process was easy enough but I live almost over 10 miles from the newington location. don't have alot of extra time on my hands. Trying to coordinate a delivery is so hard because they NEVER pick up their phones. This is my last purchase from them needed more furniture bought it somewhere else because I can't bother with this i don't have the Time to keep driving to this store and when I get there they just sitting down and the phone lights blinking.
We decided to purchase the insurance for our new couch which was supposed to cover all damage/stains etc. A few months after purchase the pull handle for our recliner broke. It took a few months before the mailed us just the part that broke. Then they preceeded to ask us to pay for this part, which we of course refused. Unfortunately it looks like they are also expecting us to install the part ourselves? Don't trust warranty insurance with this company especially when this damage was from their cheap design. I'm hoping this never happens to an elderly person incapable of self installation
I have been to other furniture outlet stores that were crammed with furniture. Not this Ashley. Staff was helpful. Less expensive items included desks, small tables, etc. We used their computer system to locate a dining room table, but had to visit an Ashley furniture store to sit on the chairs and see the table in person. We bought it at the regular Ashley store.
Not much in stock. Was told it would take 10 weeks at the earliest to get a couch and love seat in. Doesn't seem possible when hundreds of thousands of people looking for jobs
Angel Ramos was one of the more attentive and accommodating salespeople I have met in the retail industry. His attention to detail and doing what is best for the customer is outstanding. His willingness to go the extra mile for helping a customer is commendable! I would definitely return to the store where he works for future purchases.
I worked with Johnathan Rome in the Newington store. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and did everything he could to get me furniture in this pandemic. I have ordered living room tables and a bedroom set. I am very pleased and plan on ordering more furniture from Ashley in the future!
They gave us a delivery date which we cut up and throw out our old table. They delivered the WRONG table the next day, which has left us tableless. No one from Ashley Furniture has contacted us in regards to a new delivery date or even an apologetic reach out. Every thing someone from my family reach to this location, no one answered, all voicemails were full. When I finally got a hold of someone, I asked to speak to Stanton the Floor Manager who helped us. The rep on the phone said he's just in sales which confused me since his business card he handed to me said Floor Manager. So, who he is? I left my name and number for him and call me back and he never did. I reached out the them the next day, finally someone answered and helped with my concern. Our new delivery date is a week out... 2 weeks after their mess up. We are getting punished for their mistake. Unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone. They would have never called us to reschedule if we never called them.
We purchased our furniture on Black Friday. We need to do to Covid there’s a furniture would be delayed. The original sales person who helped us had left the company. This is when we met Jonathan Rome, sales manager from the Newington store. Jonathan me sure to contact us to let us know that he would be handling our account. He also touch base with us several times to keep us informed of when our furniture would be available. After setting the delivery date unfortunately my family got Covid. Jonathan but above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. Thank you Jonathan Rome for proving that customer service is not dead.

We worked with Angel he was great and not pushy. I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered all of them . I would recommend asking for him if you go there. We haven’t received our furniture yet so I can’t remark on that but they say it’s about six weeks.
Our salesman Angel was the best!! Due to recent bad experience with another furniture store. He greeted us at the door, listened to what we wanted and showed us what we were looking for in a couch. He didn’t crowd us or push us in something we didn’t want. We left there completely satisfied with our purchase!!! Highly recommend him!! Thanks Angel!!!
I wish that I could leave negative 1,000 stars... There have been exactly 0 times that I’ve left a negative review in my life about anything or anyone,,, but here goes. We purchased furniture in the last week of October after a lengthy conversation where we assured the sales person that, if it was going to be delayed, we’d rather hold off. Of course we were assured that our items were in the warehouse and would arrive before the holidays. We felt very pleased if skeptical... and paid in full. When we called to check on our order in November, we were told that pieces were held up and that late December was still a possibility. Well, Christmas came and went and we were, ofcourse, without our living room set but assured that the first week of January would be our time frame. Wouldn’t you know, when I called in January, the date had been delayed by - you guessed it - problems in the manufacturing process. Rest assured however, the first week of February was going to be awesome and soon we would be enjoying a wonderful time relaxing on our new furniture... Except that isn’t really the case. Today I called to confirm our February bliss only to receive another line of BS from a manager who sort of cared in between yawns... as he assured me the hard date of February 20th would be one I could set my clock to! Should I hold my breath with joy?!?!?! After all it’s only another 4 weeks! Given that I want the product, I remain in this abusive customer relationship with Ashley Furniture who, by all appearances, seems to score a enormously negative scores in the old customer care department. This location - in Newington - has now lied to me in the selling process, failed 4 times to meet delivery targets, and barely registered a pulse in the “give a damn” department. I’ve seen poorly run businesses before - but take a bow folks - you are, without question, the worst of them all.

Let's start off with i bought my furniture in August cause my wife was pregnant and we wanted to have it all ahead of time for the baby which was due in december. I was told 6 to 8 weeks for a time frame on delivery. Well 3 months later some of my furniture came in damaged(still waiting on the rest). I contacted the store. I was told someone would call me back within 48 hours. Never heard back. Called again and was told to email the customer service email on the website. That email doesn't work at all. Call and I'm told there's no managers on duty. They're busy. Anything but actually being helped. The employees seem to be trained to keep you away from managers or getting anything resolved. I was actually told by someone at the store that they're under paid and do to much work as it is. I was also told by a manager that because I bought a lower end set that it is what it is. As rude as that is to hear after spending 2k on a bedroom set. I continue to press on to try to get my furniture fixed and delivered. I was told they would have someone come out to repair the damaged pieces. That never happened. I was called and told they would be delivering the last piece of my furniture. It also came in so damaged that they had to take it back and get me another one. I was then called a week later and told they could deliver the chest on December 30th. Now my child has been born and I still haven't had this resolved. On December 29th I was called by an incredibly rude lady from the distribution center saying they're too busy on the 30th and ill have to reschedule.... again. Mind you I have a new born in my house. We are in a pandemic and I did this over 4 months ago to avoid all this. She said too bad theres nothing they could do to help me. So after rearranging everything to make it work I now have to do it again but I won't be able to be home cause I have to go back to work. My paternity time has ended. This is the absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with. Terrible customer service. No one there seems to have an idea about their job and how to appropriately help customers. Its unfortunate thats this is how I was treated and that you will never get me back as a customer. Buyer beware. This place is a travesty.

Loving my new living room sofa! The Sales Manager, Jonathan Rome, was extremely helpful throughout the process. Due to COVID-19, many furniture pieces are unfortunately on back order. So, I’d recommend keeping that in mind and checking your delivery status frequently. I originally ordered the “ Coulee Point 2-Piece Sectional with Chaise,” but when I was told that delivery would be delayed for another few months I visited the store and selected the “Wilcot 2-Piece Sectional” instead. Overall, I’m grateful that Ashley HomeStore was able to find a solution to the problem.

Horrible customer service and poorly made furniture 😕 I have put off writing reviews for almost a year because my service when buying was so excellent. But I have come to learn that the customer service is only good when they can make a buck. I furnished my new home with Ashley’s and every piece I purchased that day is flawed. I was going to let the flaws go but my main couch is completely broken and when I reached out it took three months to get a hold of someone then a month to “fix” it and with in a month it broke again . Now I have tried for 9 months to get a hold of someone and no one returns my calls emails or chats on the website . I just want a replacement or even a store credit at this point. Very very disappointed. We sent so many friend to the store after our shopping experience and now I feel I did a disservice by recommending them.
Ordered Patio Set & Couch in June. Said we would receive in August. August comes. Said we'd receive today. We canceled the couch. Bought elsewhere, received on time. Now that delivery date comes - the patio set is scheduled to be delivered in November - just in time for winter. We could have re-ordered our furniture from Wayfair ( NOTE: The same exact model & style ) & received it 2 weeks ago - but their sales rep Sami lies to us, give us the runaround & feed us misinformation for their commission. Disgsting. Never doing busines with these people again. Stick to Wayfair or Bassett. They treat you right, respect you - AND they stick to their commitments. Don't waste your time here.
We ordered a couch and matching love seat on July 5th, it's now 9/8 and still nothing. I also bought a $130 pillow and was told AFTER I paid for it that it wasn't in stock. I called 3 weeks later asking for an update on my pillow and they told me they had it at the store to be picked up. I drove 35-40 mins to get there only for them to tell me they didn't have it but would call the warehouse and call me back with an update, I never received a call. I called a week later and they had it waiting at the front desk..again I never received a call telling me it was finally ready. I called back today (9/8) at 10:25am...it took me 25 mins to get someone on the phone and when someone finally answered (10:50 am) they told me to call back at 11am (in 10 mins) bc they couldn't help me until they were open. We love the couch we selected and got a great deal on it, but honestly if I knew their service would be so bad I would have gone somewhere else. Now we are past the time to cancel our order, and who knows how much longer we have to wait bc they never give you any updates for anything. I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic but that is not an excuse for the lack of communication and customer service that I received. This has just been an extremely frustrating experience with Ashley Furniture.

If I could leave negative stars I would. I will never ever be going back to an Ashley Furniture. While their furniture may look great, their customer service is beyond awful. We ordered our couch at the end of May, and while I completely understand we are in a pandemic so shipping times are longer, the company continuously lied to us over and over about when we would be receiving our couch (that we still have not received). At first on the day of the order, they said it would take 4-6 weeks, which was perfect because we were moving and didn’t have a couch for our empty place. Our salesman conveniently “forgot” to mention that it would be 4 weeks from the date it got to the warehouse, which was expected to be in 9 weeks!! After having talked to them on the phone pretty much once a week since then, I have received no help. They were so sure it would be at the warehouse August 28th and they promised to have it on the truck and at our place within days. After waiting so long, we called today (9/1) to check on the status because we hadn’t received any more information about delivery, and they now say it won’t be at the warehouse until 10/1!!! If they were upfront with us about the time it would take and didn’t lie and mess with us, I wouldn’t have an issue, but this process has been so incredibly stressful and awful. Please just go to a better furniture store. We have just ordered pretty much the same couch from Raymour and itll be here in 3 weeks, not 5 months.
ordered a nice dining room set to be delivered threshold. I guess if you don't get white glove service, they damage your items on purpose. Dining bench arrived with the upholstery exposed and dirty. Chair arrived assembled and scratched. I'm starting to think this was a return and they gave it to me. Calling the customer care does nothing. They sent me an email on how to clean my upholstery and they still haven't responded to the scratched chair 3 weeks later. I used to be a faithful Ashley customer but I'm done.
By far the worst experience I have ever had purchasing anything. The salesman repeatedly went back and forth on pricing in an attempt to confuse my girlfriend and kept asking how many barstools we were looking for. It was two. Two seats. He tried to say, "It was six, right?" at least three times, presumably because he knows that once he has an order processed, their distribution is absolutely horrendous, and he can blame any issues on them. At that point, his commission is in the bag, and he can say, "Sorry, you have to deal with the warehouse," so what does he care, right? If you don't want to pay for delivery, you have to drive to Enfield (45+ minutes from my location) to their backwoods truck stop of a distribution center. After waiting six weeks for them to ship two bar height chairs and a bench to Enfield, we never received any notification that they were ready for pick up. When I finally had to drive there, because no one could give me answers, I was informed that the distribution center lost power. Understandable, as much of the state lost power recently, but when I was told they would notify me when I could reschedule, they again failed to contact me on the day they assured me they would call. I had to call them back myself several times. When I finally was able to drive there to pick my purchase up they took their time trying to find what they had done with it. They also brought it out without wearing masks. I'm not the kind of person to make a big deal out of that, but it should at least be mentioned for those who are. When I got the chairs home, they were missing pieces and did not assemble properly. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was just me, but when my girlfriend researched online, she found that multiple people had the same issue, because a peg hole was misaligned. When I called to speak to customer service (because you can only deal with the distribution center in ENFIELD at this point), they had to go through a physical file of all the orders from that day to find our name, because apparently they are only able to look up the assigned order number for orders that are delivered. What exactly is the point of an order number then? Do they even have computers there? Now I have to either A.) Drive all the way back to have someone look at it or B.) Wait six weeks for them to have new chairs shipped and drive all the way back to pick them up, with no way of knowing if they will have the same problem. They can't tell me if I can return the chairs for my money back, because the person whose call that is is apparently conducting interviews all day today and will not be available for two days. I'm glad that minimally staffing their incompetent operation (likely because they won't provide their employees with enough help or compensation to keep them around) is a higher priority than my satisfaction as a customer. I believe that they have a no return policy any way. I am a patient man, who works in sales and shipping/receiving, for construction material FAR larger and more logistically mind-numbing than furniture, so I understand how difficult these times are. Regardless, this was an absolutely, over the top miserable experience. Nothing justifies this level of incompetence and lack of concern for the customers who keep this company in business. I am completely and utterly disgusted.
I won’t be purchasing another item from them. I was told I would be getting my complete new living room set on June 10th from a May 22nd sale. They called and said it was delayed to mid July. Finally was able to get a partial delivery at the end July. Now it’s August 11th and I haven’t heard about the love seat. So I call them and they tell me the end of October! If I had known in May that it would take 5 months to get the entire living room set I would have moved on. There is no return policy once The item is in your home so I’m stuck waiting for my love seat. Very misleading and dishonest way to conduct business.
I purchased an Ottoman from Ashley&'s about 1 1/2 months ago. When it was delivered my husband noticed that all the pieces weren&'t there and that there were nails sticking out. I called the store the next day to have someone to come out and fix it and they directed me to the warehouse. I called the warehouse a few times and have not spoken to anyone but have left messages. I called the store about 2 weeks ago and have been emailing to get a refund on the ottoman and no one has answered my emails. I will not be going back.
Go to Jonathan (Sales Manager) for all your shopping inquiries! This is the second time we have bought home furniture from Ashley’s HomeStore (Newington) with Joanthan being our representative. He has been nothing but helpful and honest. We will definitely be coming back for future purchases for our new home!

I am so disappointed in my shopping experience at Ashley&'s. My mom and I walked in looking to buy a couch she saw online. When we arrived no one greeted us, we literally walked the entire store until we finally found the couch we wanted. We walked up to the help desk where 3 employees were sitting and we asked them if anyone could help us make our purchase.A man came over to us, didn&'t greet us, was in a full blown conversation with someone else, and then finally asked us what we wanted. We showed him the couch and he said he would check on the price, but then proceeded his conversation with whom he was talking to earlier. We waited and waited and waited. Finally we went back to the help desk and asked if someone else could help seeing us how this person was not interested.Later on the man came up, raised his voice, and said &"I was looking for the price&", even though he hasn&'t mice. I am so disappointed in my shopping experience at Ashley's. My mom and I walked in looking to buy a couch she saw online. When we arrived no one greeted us, we literally walked the entire store until we finally found the couch we wanted. We walked up to the help desk where 3 employees were sitting and we asked them if anyone could help us make our purchase.A man came over to us, didn't greet us, was in a full blown conversation with someone else, and then finally asked us what we wanted. We showed him the couch and he said he would check on the price, but then proceeded his conversation with whom he was talking to earlier. We waited and waited and waited. Finally we went back to the help desk and asked if someone else could help seeing us how this person was not interested.Later on the man came up, raised his voice, and said "I was looking for the price", even though he hasn't mice. Absolutely Horrible Furniture Quality And Service The furniture came with material and electronic issues, and they act like they don't care. They didn't honor the return policy, and they've already admitted that they can't repair as new either. I would NEVER buy anything from Ashley Furniture again. The quality is subpar and the service is horrible.
I remember when this Ashley store used to me a bowling place and it was fun. This Ashley HomeStore is horrible!!!!!!!! My family got a couch and it was horrible!!! The fabric is bad and it&'s coming out and it feels really bad!!! We had that couch for 3 years and it&'s horrible!!! We got a dinner table too and it wasn&'t that bad but I think the couches are the worst!!! They are not even that comfy and when you sit on it it&'s uncomfortable!!! When you let them order it to your house it&'s so stressful and they basically never call you and it&'s always late and they basically lie to you when it&'s about to come ! I really want this Newington store to be done like I want hype bowling place back!! It&'s just HORRIBLE NEVER COME HERE !!! Because you will be WASTING YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

I scheduled a delivery over 2 weeks ago and was told I would get a call that details the time my delivery would be. I never got that call and inquired about my delivery. They never put me in the system and now I have an empty apartment that I have to live in for another week because their people are incompetent and don't even know how to use their own systems. Their response to the situation was completely inadequate and almost non existent. I will NEVER buy from this store or recommend them to anyone. I hope the furniture is better than their customer service..
This location is very unprofessional. The agent who helped me initially seemed knowledgeable about the products and sold me furniture. However, once ist came to receiving my furniture I was talked down to by staff when I had questions about when I'll be receiving my order and the agent called me personally to argue with me about my complaints. It's been little more than a month and my child still have NO bed. It's been hell since ive dealt with this Ashley's. Very stressed.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ!! Honestly, I don’t know where to begin. When we decided to go with Ashley’s we had already tried twice from another furniture store. We selected a piece with Fabiana and then it was scheduled to come on 1/20/20. Two days prior I got a time frame for 1:30-4:30p. That day around 11:30am I get a text saying “your furniture will be arriving in 15 minutes.” I call them and tell them I’m not home and that I’ll be home by my time frame or a little before. I never specified a time. At 1pm, I get a call from a man I now know to be Julius who says we’re outside. No warning text. No nothing. I tell him I’m not home but can be there in 15 minutes which is still within my time frame. He yells at me saying that he was told I’d be there. Again I never specified a time so I told him I was on my way. I get there and rolled down my window to tell one of the guys who I was and that I was just going to park. While my window is still down I can hear Julius making a comment like “I can tell that’s her right there, just by the look on her face.” I then get out of the car and I don’t make a comment, I just let them in and the other two movers are bringing in the smaller items. When it came time for the bigger piece to come, by the time he got it in the hallway Julius was already making snarky comments about it not fitting. As soon as he began making those comments, I called my husband because these were issues that we experienced with the previous furniture store. Julius tells me to FaceTime him so he can see that it doesn’t fit. Julius then lifts up the couch barely moving it to show that it didn’t fit. He didn’t even try different angles to get it to fit or move it any other way. My husband then starts asking him if he has tried different angles. Julius then proceeds to yell at my husband about how it won’t fit, about how Julius has been doing this job for 3 years, about how my husband is telling him he doesn’t know how to do his job, and so on... It got so bad that my mother-in-law who came up through the elevator heard the commotion and thought Julius was yelling at me and yelled at him saying “ARE YOU YELLING AT HER” to which he replied “no I’m yelling at him” and she said “so you’re yelling at my son” and told him to relax which he then began to. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional and kept stating how he has 3 years experience with the company... we then decide to reselect another couch and when speaking to Fabiana, when I expressed my concern with my experience, she was also very rude and kept calling me “hun” such as “well hun, if it doesn’t fit then it doesn’t fit” which I find quite insulting and disrespectful... eventually we came in store and picked something out with the manager and another store worker named Patty. It came in today 2/5/20. At the time of re-selection, we specifically stated to not have Julius as our mover. My husband was present this time and our scheduled time was 4-7p. I then get a text from my husband that Julius is the one bringing up our furniture.... WE WERE ASSURED THAT HE WOULD NOT BE THE ONE DELIVERING OUR FURNITURE. Yet here we were with him still being rude and disrespectful, fighting and bickering with his coworker in front of my husband. Here’s the funny part... THEY COULD NOT GET THE FURNITURE IN... and given this was the fourth time we’re going through this we measured everything to a T.... here’s the best part.. MY HUSBAND TOLD THEM TO LEAVE THE SOFA IN THE HALLWAY AND PROCEEDED TO GET THE COUCH IN ALONE.... without their help or their 3-years worth of experience. Honestly so unbelievable.. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who cares about their customer service experience.
In store employees were ok. A little over priced. Delivery service was terrible. Employees burping and farting in my house. When the couch didn’t fit up the front they stood around for 20mins until I canceled the order and told them to leave. Plus the order was late by two weeks in the first place. Never again.
My experience with the manager John R was exceptional! He was very knowledgeable on all items and spent a considerable amount of time with us to ensure our purchase was to our satisfaction. I did not feel pressured to buy outside of our budget, he was professional, well versed and guided us with all the necessary options that was a fit for our family. He was transparent and honest, when making large purchases that’s what I look for in a great sales manager! Best customer service around and I recommend John R if you are looking for an awesome Ashbury experience!
Buying furniture here has been the worst experience of my entire life. Ordered a dining table, sectional couch, and a bedroom set. The bedroom set came in unscathed and actually looks and feels very nice. The couch and table however, have given me nothing but headaches. The table had to be delivered 2 times. The first one was completely broken in every way a table could be broken. The second came in slightly wrong. They sent a tech out, the tech did nothing. I fixed the table myself with 3 simple tools, something the tech couldn’t even do. Upon delivery of the second couch, during setup, the delivery guys took a chunk out of my brand new $3800.00 flooring that cannot be repaired. The flooring will have to be re-done, and the quote I got was $5,300.00. I called this store and the manager was “busy” with a customer on 2 different occasions. I called the warehouse and I spoke with a woman who told me someone has to come look at the damage. She then hung up on me without taking down the rest of my information. I am absolutely disgusted with this company. If you don’t think they’ll do the SAME EXACT thing to you...you’re wrong. Go read the bad reviews...this issue is consistent and nobody wants to rectify the situation.
My husband & I had a great experience shopping at Ashley’s Furniture in Newington. Jonathan, the Sales Manager, was easy to work with and incredibly helpful. We didn’t feel pressured into purchasing anything (no one followed us around or tried to push us into making a purchase, like many other stores we went to before). They allowed us to look around & try everything out by ourselves. When we did have a question, Jonathan was readily available to answer and was incredibly thorough. We can’t thank Jonathan enough for his exceptional service. We did purchase a living room set that we absolutely love, but more importantly, we walked out of the store with complete confidence and understanding of our entire purchase thanks to Jonathan. We will definitely be going back to Ashley’s Furniture in Newington for all of our future furniture needs and hope that we will be able to have Jonathan assist us again. If we could give him 10 stars, we would!

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Our delivery drivers were unbelievably rude and smelled of marijuana. They didn&'t deliver the couches and barely even attempted to move them into the house. When I called to complain, the V.P of Operations Bob Ahern was also extremely rude. I can see why this company has such poor ratings as the poor customer service certainly trickles down from the top. They have a better business bureau &"F&" rating. Never ever will I shop here again and I will go out of my way to ensure I warn as many people as possible of their unbelievably poor service.

My husband and I came into Ashley’s looking for a couch and ottoman for our basement. This was our second time purchasing furniture from Jonathan Rome. After having a wonderful first time experience purchasing a new bedroom and dining room set a couple years ago we were in the market for new basement furniture. We knew exactly who to go see to help us with our furniture needs. Jonathan was so helpful in finding us the perfect couch at a great price. He was very professional and knowledgeable about all the products in the store. We would definitely recommend anyone looking for new furniture to talk to Jonathan. Do not order from this store. Inside the store, they were very nice and helpful; I bought a coffee table and matching end table, when the coffee table was delivered, it was damaged on the inside. They wanted to send someone to fix it but I wanted it to be replaced, they then agreed to have it replaced. A second delivery came and this one was not in perfect condition either. It was scratched as well but not as noticeable.. BUT the top of the table was a lift top and did not sit right, I called and they said they couldn&'t send someone out to fix it for 3 weeks. Called to speak with a manager and none were working today. I will never be shopping here again. When I pay for something I expect it to come in perfect condition. I want to return all together but there&'s a 25% restocking fee.. so you get what you pay for I guess.
They said they would price match and after one day the price was lower online. Told I would get a call back from the manager...still waiting. Look online it’s probably cheaper!
Our sales person Jonathon Simmons was very knowledgeable regarding the products. He answered our questions fully and helped us to make an informed decision. We will certainly make Ashley Homestore our first choice when looking for new furniture in the future.
First time to an Ashley Store, looking for some reasonable priced items for our Florida home. I was hoping to pick out and order through my local Ct. store when I was informed by a saleswoman that she could not help me because I could not order in Ct. and she worked on commission so therefore I was on my own. At that point, Angel offered to assist me even though he too worked on commission but would answer any questions I had. What a difference an employee makes when shopping at a new store! He showed me that he was obviously a team player and worked for the good of the company in-spite of the fact he wasn’t earning anything. I spoke to the manager to let him know that this employee showed good will towards the company he represented, a sense of responsibility to help, and impressed new customers. My husband and I visited the Newington location and left feeling better than when we first arrived. Hopefully, Angel will get a nod from the franchise owner!
We visited Pilgrim, Puritan, Bob’s, and Raymour and honestly, although I thought I received good attention and found some nice pieces, I’m glad I decided when I saw Ashley advertised on TV to take the trip to Newington. Omg, the attention I received and the knowledge that Jonathan had regarding beds just blew me away! The way he worked with his fellow new employee and gave her so many wonderful tips and tidbits of knowledge was very impressive. He treated his trainee with as much respect as he did us. Honestly, I would send anyone here to buy furniture and I’m looking forward to a return visit soon. If I had my way I think both Jonathan and your new employee Nia deserve a raise. In any case, Jonathan is a great Sales Manager and also is superb as training his employees! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Sandy

However, our interaction with the sales rep Fabiana and the front desk lady ruined our shopping experience. Our greeting with Fabiana was friendly and she was able to price match with the lower price online. However, as we decided to move forward with our purchase and asked some questions she gave us attitude and patronized us. Then as we were checking out at the front desk, the girl was just unnecessarily sarcastic during the whole interaction. In addition, we were told (by Fabiana & the front desk) that they would be able to deliver the couch on the specific date we requested. About 2-3 days before our delivery date, they called us saying the couch was going to be a day late. This caused quite a bit of inconvenience for us. THEN when the couch was delivered, there was a broken part. SO we had to wait another 2 more weeks for a replacement to arrive to the warehouse and to be once again delivered to our apartment. In all, Ashley furniture's poor customer service and handling will be the reason we will not shop at again and will be sure to let others know about their poor service.

We ordered a dining room set that had to be re-delivered on 3 separate occasions because they kept delivering damaged items. During the first delivery, they left 3 chairs outside in the rain UNCOVERED as they were unloading. When I asked as a sign of good faith for them to credit us the $130 delivery fee for the hassle (because we had to be home each time), they responded they would only give us $65 in store credit. Their reasoning is that it was a cost and inconvenience to THEM even though it was continuously their mistake. Very insulting. I requested to speak with a store manager to discuss and they stated someone would call me. No one has called or followed up. Poor customer service. Once they get your money they don't care about follow through with delivery. I will never shop there again.

As with other reviewers, my experience shopping in the store was significantly better than what followed during the delivery process. During purchase, I specifically asked whether the delivery people would remove my old mattress, and it was confirmed that they would. The day before the scheduled delivery, I get a text confirming delivery between 3 and 6 the following day. Despite this, on the date of delivery I get a call around 1 ok saying they will be there soon. The mattress is delivered. They did NOT take my old mattress. I call the store to try to have them contact the delivery drivers immediately to come back, since they left just moments ago... the woman answering the phone was rude, unhelpful and TOTALLY WRONG. She is now telling me that no, they won't take your old mattress, ever, and that "you signed something to that effect when you made the purchase". Except -- that's not true!! The document I signed says they WILL take my old mattress. We argue on the phone, and she is INSISTENT that I'm wrong and that they won't take the old mattress. I ask for the manager. He is very helpful and polite, and immediately confirms that I am right- they WILL take my old mattress, and he calls and arranges for delivery guys to return... at some point. Incredibly frustrating! Anyone that answers the phone at the store should be trained as to ACTUAL store and delivery policies, and should not feel empowered to simply make things up! I shouldn't have needed to escalate this to management!

Was my first time in Ashley Furniture and didn't have many expectations going in. We were able to make it through the front door and look around a bit before being slammed by salesmen. We were assisted by Angel and he was very personable and didn't hover as we browsed like in other furniture stores. The prices on the furniture seems reasonable and the quality appears to fit the prices if not better.
Angel was the best! He introduced himself and left us alone to shop! How wonderful not to be followed around by a salesman. He was knowledgeable and fast to finish the sale. Really nice guy if your in need of furniture and going by Ashley’s in Newington. Give him a call.

Everything we purchased looks great and has made our home very beautiful and cozy. The prices are very reasonable and the discounts are great as well. Patricia was fantastic in helping us to choose our furniture. Jonathan R. one of the Managers was wonderful, extremely helpful, patient, and very pleasant to work with with everything we needed, when we finalized our order, with the delivery, when we added more items to our order, and in general with anything we had to figure out. Great staff all around at Ashley's also with all the staff and delivery crew we dealt with !!!
Went in looking for book cases...ended up buying sleeper sofa, loveseat and two bookcases. Was greeted by Angel Ramos who was wonderful with answering our questions and wrapped it all up with Jonathan Rome who gave us a great price. Buyer BEWARE!!! First buying experience at Ashley HomeStore, Newington CT has been unacceptable, miserable & totally inexplicably awful. My husband & I purchased a Serta Mattress & floor model retractable bed frame to the tune of $2,400. Delivered on time by competitors delivery people, miscommunication from them to take old mattress & box spring away. After 3 phone calls, okay to take away. Retractable bedframe arrived soiled, vacuumed before delivery people brought up new mattress. Mattress came wrapped in plastic, after plastic was removed there were snags all across side of mattress. I took pictures, and was shaking I was so upset. After having time to calm down I went into the store & talked with manager & sale person to voice my displeasure. They assured me it would be rectified, nope that didn't happen. I called their Customer Care people, sent them an email with my pictures of the damaged purchases. Still haven't heard back!!!!!! Please read reviews before buying from this STORE in Newington CT.
Terrible experience- we were told our furniture would be in in a week- we even offered to pick it up at the warehouse. It has been 5 weeks and we STILL have t gotten our order. We are now being told the delivery date will be sometime next week which would be 6 wks and if we could t do the date they had available they would be charging us extra. I'm not even sure if the quality at this point I do not plan on returning- terrible service.
Had a great experience, our saleswoman Fabiana was awesome. No pressure to buy. She didn’t not cling to us as we walked around the store. She answered every question we had and it was clear from speaking to her she has a great understanding of the furniture. The furniture selection and the variety of furniture is large. I would return again no doubt.

I went to Newington Ashley HomeStore looking for a table that they had on sale. Then I saw another table set that I liked so much more. The Salesman Carl Lyon was very helpful with the purchase. Needless to say I purchased the table set. Which I love. I will be going back in the near future.

We had the opportunity to work with Jonathan. He spent a lot of time without hounding us while we looked but was attentive when we had questions. He allowed us to take our time and explained ALL options without pressure. We ended up making a substantial purchase. The next day we went in with questions regarding pricing online vs store. We were just planning on looking to get some ideas, however, Jonathan was so helpful and we found a set we loved and purchased it! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Idk where to begin. We went in store and purchased a bed on August 5th. We were told the bed would arrive in store by the 13th. We received an email it would now arrive on the 15th. I had to call the store on the 15th to see if it arrived. Was now told it would be the 17th, then the 20th, 24th and finally the 27th. STILL HASNT ARRIVED after they promised it would all be delivered on the 31st once arrived in store on the 27th. We had to contact them every time in order to find out where our bed was. Do not shop there. They totally mislead us. Would give zero stars if I could.

Absolutely horrible customer service. We spent over $4000 in one sitting at this store, had everything delivered, and when the delivery men put together our king-sized platform bed, they apparently decided they wanted to ignore the instructions that came with it and rigged it together in such a way that was actually dangerous for us to sleep on and we didn&'t even know until we needed to switch out the mattress. My fiancé had to completely redo the lower portion of the platform bed. And all of this when we had tipped the delivery guys, thinking that they had done a good job. Then, the mattress didn&'t work out for us so we wanted to return it just 3 days after receiving it and offered to buy a mattress twice the price of the original one in order to avoid the $125 restocking fee that they were requiring. The manager of the store named Jonathan talked to me not once but twice on the phone, both times telling me he needed to talk to someone above him in order to make that decision and he would get back with me. Both times he did not return my call and I was forced to have to contact him again. Finally, we just let them come pick up the mattress and we bought one from a competitor. Four weeks later and we realize they actually never refunded us for the mattress. So they came and picked it up, but didn&'t give us our money back. My fiancé had to go to the actual store and ask for the manager&'s boss, named Bill. We got a halfhearted apology, a refund finally on our credit card, but they made sure to go ahead and charge us the restocking fee and the pick-up fee. So even after they screwed up, they still wouldn&'t do anything to make it right for us even though we spent so much money at their store. They did nothing to ensure that we would be future customers. And now, we certainly won&'t be.
One of, if not the best experience I have had while shopping for furniture. Jonathan was very honest and ensure that my family got the best deal available. My wife is very happy with what he assisted my family with. Now I see why he does what he does. He deserves every accolade your team can offer. We shall be back to work with him again.

They said theyd be right back...Took off an never came back an we purchased something! We had to go an look for the man that "helped" us....we told him once we found him we'd take the mattress, well he said he needed help and then turned around an said he isn't helping he's wearing a suit an had a bad"back". Very very rude! My husband had to carry the mattress from the back of the store all the way to the front and put it on our truck by himself! Strongly disappointed! Taking my business somewhere else! Very nice and friendly until you make a payment. After that, they don't care. Ordered a King bed and brought a damaged bed two times. Delivery guys are rude and frustrated when they found out that the bed is broken. Left trash (nails and other packing material) in the bedroom and drive way. I tried to talk to sales peron Jonathan or a manager to get refund because of quality concerns. They never call back and asking me to pay 25% restocking fee. Look elsewhere (Raymour and Flanigan) if you want quality furnitures and frustration-free customer service.

It was nice waking into a store where you are greeted and not hovered over. Lisa pointed us in the right direction, gave us appropriate space and was always there when we had questions. Because of Lisa, and the fantastic selection and quality, we left with a beautiful sofa and love seat.

Never shop at Ashley. They sell you items they promise will be in stock then move dates out again and again. They schedule deliveries and don't show on multiple occasions. They deliver furniture boxes without all the pieces and don't know what to do. They tell you they'll call you back and never do. We were die hard Ashley customers until this last experience. They have gone way down hill. Try another retailer.

I really liked the style of their products. I purchased a sleeper sofa sectional with a chaise that will fit perfectly in my living room. Their salesperson Lisa was great to work with. The one suggestion I would make would be to have more color diversity as 80 percent of their products are gray and are only available in the colors shown in the store.

Good experience in the store and better experience with delivery. The warehouse sent double my purchase by mistake and all the paperwork suggested I ordered double. After some calls - the delivery men had someone on the phone and all was made correct. Tyrone and Junior were polite and funny and mindful of my pets.

Got a killer deal on a couch ive wanted forever
I've been debating for months on buying a new living room set. Found one online but needed to "try before I buy". Luckily, the set was in-stock and sure enough, I did like it. Jonathan was there to answer all questions and check the availability of the products and gave me an estimated delivery time, on the spot. I will definitely be returning.
James is a wonderful salesman. He was patient, explained everything thoroughly, and we didn’t feel pressured. He was extremely kind and answered each of our questions. From getting us bottles of water to the best deal- it was an awesome experience. James will be our go to for our future furniture needs.

Ashley's( Orange CT ) Ms. J ( Manager) was about the only pro to come out of my experience with Ashley's furniture. She was helpful and gave great feedback, never pushy. After reading the other reviews I was lucky to get that. Delivery however is a joke. They have no called no showed me twice and my sofa is most likely still in China in the back of a wear house. 4 weeks now and no sofa, i was told they had a glitch in the system, still nothing. We made another date, of course no call no show. If my payment was contingent on delivery i am sure this sectional would have arrived weeks ago. They have their money, now they drag their feet. If you want your furniture within 6 months, shop elsewhere. Ashley's got 1 star as 0 is not an option.
We knew what we wanted and were able to quickly shop without pressure. Oneil was easy to work with and answered our questions thoroughly. The rest of the staff was so friendly and I would absolutely return for my next furniture purchase.

My fiancé and I went into Ashley on a whim, we had been looking at other stores for furniture. True story...after getting a bedroom set our entire house is furnished from Ashley!! They gave us amazing deals on each piece. The sales team were great, not invasive or pushy...great experience! Thank you guys we love our furniture!!
I did not have a bad experience at the store. It is the warehouse that is the problem. It took them over one month to deliver our furniture. We had 30 days to return the mattress we bought, the day after we got it, we called the warehouse to explain that it was too hard and would like to exchange it for a different one. It took the warehouse 3 weeks to get back to us. We then went to the store to pick out a different mattress, which ended up being over $200 cheaper than the original mattress, and were told by the warehouse that they would not refund us our money. I will NEVER do business with them again!!! Worst experience I have ever had buying furniture.

It was our First time to the store in search of a new couch. Lisa was right there to greet us and help us with all our needs/questions. After browsing the store, We picked one out, went home to measure only to find out it wouldn't fit. So after getting all of our measurements together, we came back the next day and we finally decided on the hallenberg sectional. We are so excited to get it in our home!

Very disappointed. Too many things that they tell you turn out to be false. Was upfront with my needs and was told one thing to get the sale then something completely different during the payment and delivery part. Seems like my money was the only important part of the transaction for Ashley. On a positive note the delivery folks were great.

My wife and I were very happy with our in store experience at this Ashley location. We were greeted by our sales consultant Lisa who directed us to the sofa we came to see. We knew it was the right one right away. Lisa answered our questions about pricing and warranty and gave us some space to browse and talk it over. I brought up that we had seen the same sofa at an online only retailer for a little cheaper and she proceeded to explain the advantages of purchasing direct from an Ashley store and their superior (and cheaper) extended warranty and delivery service. Ultimately we felt more comfortable buying in store and face to face rather than rolling the dice online. My wife loves the warranty option and the piece of mind and we're both excited to recieve the sofa in the next week or so. Lisa was wonderful, patient and very knowledgeable about all her products. Would definitely buy here again and ask for Lisa!
From the moment I walked in, all staff members from the sales team and the receptionist, everyone was professional and kind. Lisa was the sales member who helped me in making my purchase. She wasn't pushy. Lisa took the time to listen to all that I expected and assisted me in choosing the right fit for me. Lisa is very knowledgeable and was a great help during my visit. We stopped into Ashley in Newington, CT this weekend and worked with Jonathan R. We initially intended to purchase a new sectional. He was exceptionally helpful in getting us a couch that would work for us. We also purchased a new dining set. He was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. We also worked with Annette to wrap everything up and she was also wonderful! We highly recommend both for all the help they provided! We’ll be back again in the future for sure!

I had a great experience here at Ashley HomeStore. Staff was great and very knowledgeable and the store was immaculate. I couldn't find what I was looking for in the store but I did order it online (queen bed frame with headboard) which was recommended to me by store associate. This have everything here for every room and amazing accent pieces. I will definitely return and highly recommend this store to anyone.

I had a great experience at the store today. The sales representative I worked with, his name was James, was absolutely incredible. He was amazing at working with me to find something that was going to be the right fit for my needs and taste. He offered really amazing insight and wasn’t afraid to seek out answers to questions he wasn’t 100% certain of which I really appreciated. The store itself was really nice and had a lot to choose from. The customer service representatives were also incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I will undoubtably be returning to this location in the future.

A store that was easy to work with. They greeted you at the door but left you alone to shop at your pace. When you did have a question they were close by for you to ask. We did shop several other stores but Ashley’s had what we were looking for that fit our budget and would be able to delivery in a reasonable time frame. The quality seems good...but we will soon find out once delivered. I really don’t anticipate any issues. If looking for furniture I highly recommend a visit.
If I could rate this zero stars I would. Terrible customer service. The sales people made me feel so uncomfortable and they are SO rude. Ended up going across the street to Raymour and Flangian where I got terrific service and ended up buying a couch.

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! Brought a living room set only to find a dead mouse within the sofa! Not sure if they even inspect the merchandise that they sell! Spoke to Bob and he was no help and very disrespectful when I brought this to his attention! I’ve never done business with a company who doesn’t care about their customers or their product. For now.. I’ll shop anywhere but here

This is my second purchase from Ashley Furniture. They are a pleasure to do business with. My first purchase was a bed room set. It’s high quality and really puts a finished spin on my bedroom. About a month after I purchased, I had an accident with the foot board and it needed to be replaced. Ashley Furniture sent a repair man and in 15 minutes, boom it was fixed. At no charge to me. I just purchased a couch set and I can’t wait to get this in my living room. Patricia Fanelil met me at the door, asked if I was familiar with the store, and left me to my own devices. No pressure at all. She continued to check on me and was willing to call me to advise if the set sold while I was making my decision. Fantastic experience.
