I really want this dinette set and I had recently went in and Ashley store and was told that they were having a sale last Saturday. I went in last Saturday to pick up the set which was only 499. The person that waited on me lied and said it was 799 and said he was giving me a bigger discount the normal but I ended up Price for Dinette set I really wanted to sit so it really didn’t matter, but I’ll never shop at Ashley’s again, for cheating out of my 30% disccount

Eddie was very patient with us when looking for our perfect couch. My wife kept changing mind about the layout and he even brought us a pen and paper to sketch it out and get everything in order. We went and asked for the item we wanted and had seen online and he made sure we got the best deal. The only downside was him and his manager processed my whole order and still did not tell me what time it will be delivered. They assured me it shouldn’t take a significant amount of time and will be in contact. Otherwise a good experience.

Be careful when applying for SNAP, if you decide you want to pay with cash instead of going through with SNAP they will use your signature and bill you with small charges without telling you. This is what happened to me. I was paying with cash but noticed they also went through with the payment option of SNAP without me knowing. They scammed me and I can’t get my money back. After six months i finally noticed the payments going through on my debit card still to this day after i payed off my furniture with cash. Terrible company. Please be careful when going to this place. I would not recommend

Warning: GO ELSEWHERE. Like everyone has said, James is awesome to work with, he’s helped a little here and there. I had one other guy who I placed the order with, Nasif. He was also very nice. But the other lady manager treated me like I was a child, just because I got frustrated when nothings been figured out after so long. Very rude. I’ve been waiting to post my review, as I’ve been waiting to be able to get my order. I bought a few pieces of furniture a few years ago, and bought the GBS protection plan to go with it. They gave us a credit instead of replacing the couch cushions, because they no longer made the couch cushions. Fast forward 2 months since placing my order using the credits, having paid the taxes and delivery, and I still have heard nothing from them. They have given me the runaround every single time I call. They blame it on GBS, saying they haven’t received funds even though they did. Now they say they are waiting on corporate to okay the credit/order. I’ve already paid my portion, but they won’t give me my furniture. Buyer beware, if you get a protection plan- they DO NOT want to honor it!! They have absolutely lost a customer, and I will make sure to tell anyone who’s looking for furniture to look elsewhere.

Bought Realyn king bedroom last month. The drawer that goes under the footboard is defective and doesn’t slide in properly. The guys who assembled it told me to call Ashley customer service. I called them and they sent me an email that I need to reply to with pictures. I did. And never heard from them again. I keep calling customer service over and over again and no one picks up. The store in Bear Delaware ( where I bought the bedroom) also not picking up. Maybe their lines are down. But it’s been couple of weeks, how come a big store like Ashely has their lines down for weeks!! Never again buying from Ashley. Very disappointed.

Yesterday I went to this Ashley's location because I was recommended this store. When I walked in I walked around the showroom and was not greeted or asked if I needed assistance by any member of staff. Sales staff were sitting on the couch on their phones, one girl looked up at me, and acted as if I wasn't there. They also were eating in the showroom just staring at me. Even if you are not available to help, you should at least find someone else to help out. I ended up leaving and never had any interaction with any member of staff...It wasn't even that busy. This store just lost out on a sale, I was ready to buy but now I will go elsewhere. 0 stars!

I had bought a leather couch sofa from Ashley and it had wear and tear after an year. We paid 150$ for the parts and service and a part was missing when technician arrived from Ashley side and said he will put an order for the missing part. The missing part arrived after a while and when contacted back, Ashley store is asking us to pay 150 more to fix the couch that we have already paid the service fee for. Please save the hassle and don't buy any stuff from there as you will go through the pain after an year again!!

Don't Shop Here!!!!, I ordered a sofa set with matching pillows, when delivery time came, I asked where are the pillows, they told me its was not included, however my order shows it does. The store manager was no help all.. I told the manager I will return this fruniture if the pillows are not included, then the I spoke with the owner who called me back, he just offered to take 35% off the pillows. I will never shop here again... It was so difficult to get someone on the phone and the customer service is horrible. In the end I had to dispute the transaction with my credit card company to get my money back.

This furniture store sells furniture protection plan but what they are not telling you once you use it if that part of furniture have another issue it will not be covered. Omg. Find another furniture store.

A very friendly vibe with everyone I interacted with. The 4 stars is for everything being pricey compared to other furniture locations, but the staff is a definite 5.
The store experience was short but they were helpful and saved me a lot of money. I was originally going to order online and good thing I didn't because the online site needed some updating and was very misleading. That matched the online price and all worked out in the end. Just have to wait until my order comes in before I can rate any higher.

To celebrate my 17th wedding anniversary, my wife and I decided to buy a replacement couch for our living room. We discussed what we thought we wanted and set a budget. No surprise that we were not exactly on the same page. On May 13th 2023, we decided to spend the day looking, but not buying, with the hope that we’d get on the same page and maybe by the end of the month we’d have a new couch. Ashely Furniture on Rt40 in Bear, DE was our first stop for no reason other than it was the closest to our home. It’s a really nice showroom, well lit, clean with a ton of inventory. So many different styles of couches for us to consider. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a salesperson, Tristan. We had anticipated a full day of high-pressure sales so we were mentally ready for sales people, but Tristan was different. He was sharply dressed, pleasant, well-spoken and direct. He asked a few questions to learn what we might be looking for, what our budget was and then he gave us space to explore the showroom on our own (without feeling like we were being chaperoned). As soon as we had questions, he was immediately available even though he wasn’t hovering over us. As we walked around, we also met the manager, Dominic. Like Tristan, Dominic was on point and pleasant to talk with, but he also didn’t hover over top of us. Really, all the folks we met at the Ashley store were super courteous, helpful, and clearly a great team that worked well together. Dominic and Tristan worked together to come up with a great sectional couch that fit our needs and was within our budget. Because we were in a -look but don’t buy- mode we still went and visited 7 other stores before deciding that the Ashley couch, which was clearly the best couch we had sat in all day. Amazingly, my wife and I were on the same page finally! Even though we hadn’t intended to buy on May 13th we ended up finishing our day by inking a deal on a great couch, really a better couch than we set out to buy, in budget, from a great group of people. In hindsight, we wasted time visiting the 7 other stores. Anyone in need of good furniture and a great buying experience should visit Dominic and his Team at Ashley Furniture in Bear, DE.

OK - so I didn't actually buy anything here, so why a 5-star review? Because they tried to accommodate my ideas, and Lee worked really hard, BUT wasn't pushy in the slightest. Actually, nobody was pushy! They let me wander and then when I had a question, Lee was watching, but not hovering. He answered my questions, didn't try to tell me things like, "Oh, we can change this fabric to anything," and took the time to listen to how I wanted to present the furniture I am looking for. When I explained what I wanted (some color and NOT beige!) and they type of furniture I was looking for both he and Nick, the manager didn't push. They told me that really didn't have what I was looking for. Service like that means a lot to me. I still haven't found what I'm looking for, but there will be other things I need and now this store is right up there for me.

When they came to deliver those items, it looked so beautiful, but the next day the legs fell off the ottoman and the sofa.The Bedroom (2 nite stands, $292.00, 1 full panel bed, $320.00, 1 10inch coil mattress, $404.49, 1 chest of drawers, $657.00. Total cost 1,773.90.I started searching on line and found the same exact set from MMFurniture.comChest of drawers $285.00Night stands $135. ×2Panel bed $285.7Total cost online $842.00I paid $1,269. Plus $404.49 for the coil mattress.Hind sight I should have gone to MMFURNITURE.COM to save $400-$500Not only do they not correct what their assemblers messed up but they ignore you.It's been 5 months still no fix.I'm going to post this every month!!!!!

This is the worst store to buy furniture from. I brought a dining table with pick from store as an option. Store manager told me within 24 hours if there is any damage with the furniture they will take care of it. Within 1 hour from pickup i see damages on a chair and on a table and when i called the store manager he said they don't deal with this issue and said to reach out to customer service. Too bad they don't stand on their words. It's been almost a month since customer service told they would send the replacements for the part of the furniture which got damaged and they dont even have an update when they will be shipping those. Update as of 03/13/2023: Still my damaged parts are not replaced and these guys are big cheaters and they fool the customers.

Horrible experience today and it’s sad because we are returning customers. Our sales associate was amazing first and for more! It was his management and the front desk that was terrible and made me decide not to purchase. Our sales associate helped us get to a price we feel comfortable at for Anne’s sofa and when it came time to check out it all went downhill. They were severely understaffed and the staff they did had has no clue what they’re doing. The older man had no clue how to use the system or snap application, then he kept questioning the price in front of me to his colleague and kept saying “well you’re not getting paid off of this i hope you know”. Like I should be hearing these things as a customer? It got to the point that I was bother and just left. For the gentlemen “Lee” who works there…you deserve better and u are great people person. Please go somewhere where your skills are more appreciated because Ashley’s isn’t it.

Looking for a small sofa.
Ordered a bed frame- we asked questions about the items on the invoice prior to finalizing the purchase, and was told it was written correctly on the invoice. I then come to find out that it wasn’t written correctly and now I’m out of luck on this bed frame. The people at this store are wholly incompetent and shouldn’t be allowed to advise people on anything. EDIT: When we called to try and fix this issue we were told we were correct in refusing the delivery. However, she then said “hopefully cancelling the order will offset the price difference for when they order it correctly” and honestly that is absolutely unacceptable. I don’t have a bed frame for my new mattress because of this incompetence and there is absolutely no way I will be paying any additional money because someone at this store has no idea what they’re doing.

Lee & the new GM Dom worked very hard to help me find the couches I needed for my house. I had been searching for some months. Lee made sure to break down all the information about the coverage for the protection plan as well. Lee made this an easy process for me.
Bed set went from… “it should be delivered in about 8 weeks but things are coming in sooner”. To me calling for an ETA only to be told it was delayed until 9/20 now. They refused to give full refund. Said we needed to pay to have it restocked. Asked what’s being restocked since they don’t even have the product yet… and they changed the delivery date… I shouldn’t be held liable for their mistake. Left messages for the manager and never got a response. Will never ever do business there.

Do not shop here!!!!!!. It's going on 2 months no one has come out to fix the problem and no one has called. Smh. I brought LR, BR, and dinette set. #1 the quality of the BR set is sub standard and over price!!!! When they delivered the LR set they put it together incorrectly and legs fell off 2days later. Called cust care. They told me they'd make a claim and a manager will call me back in a week!!!! I called the store sent pictures to Andrea. Have not heard from them in about two weeks. Legs are still off the furniture!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never buy here again!!!!

He and members of management worked to get me online prices with store delivery prices. Took a little bit, busy day in there, but it saved me 1k! Thanks peoples!
Ashley is a scam mattress company. One sentence review about ashley. Don't even think to buy from them online. If you bought it by chance and you need to return that mattress even unopened box they want you to donate it, not return it. I will make sure all of my circle knows about this fraudulent company. No custom rights, like in third world country.
very terrible experience. The associates are always helpful but the corporation is terrible. I had my delivery date changed twice. I gave them a second try because I have a credit card with them(which I wish I never applied for, bc their service is terrible) and again let down by poor communication and poor management of customer expectations

I’m rating this experience as a 2 only because 1-It was delivered near the beginning of 4 hour window given and 2-It was the correct item, less one part. The delivery guys used something metal and rounded to hold the door open that damaged the door and I didn’t noticed until they left. Secondly, a window blind was damaged. I was skeptical about Ashley but gave them the benefit of the doubt because I was purchasing one item. But, I was wrong. Won’t make that same mistake again. Will be requesting refund for part of order not delivered because it’s not in stock.

We purchased a house full of furniture from the Bear store which was delivered 12/06/2022 and out of three bedroom sets two of the storage beds have broken in less than 3 months with no kids. The warranty sucks they informed me that it would be sometime in June before they could get parts to repair beds. When you have spent thousands of dollars on furniture, you’re not expecting it to break and fall apart in less than three months and every one is just passing the buck with no resolution. High prices and poor quality. I will never buy anything from them again.

I visited the Ashley Homestore in Bear, DE. It was a welcomed relief that they did not pounce on me as I entered the door. Nicholas introduced himself and then allowed me to walk the store without being pressured. After I select my items and went to customer service, I meant Andrea and she was so professional and she explained my costs and everything else I needed to know. Great experience!
I purchased a bedroom set April 2021. I expected some delays because the country was still dealing with Covid. Eventually I did receive my bedroom set August 2021. The delivery man informed me the handle and screws for the nightstand was missing and I'd have to contact the store for assistance. I was surprised the store manager informed me I'd have to contact the service department myself for this issue. The service department is in Philly. Well, after 6 months of calling the service department with no results, I'd had it and decided to file a lawsuit since they breached the contract. As I was preparing my paperwork, I finally received a call from Ashley that the handle was in and they'd install it. The moral of the story is if anything is missing from your furniture delivery, Ashley furniture leaves you to your own devices to get the missing parts ON YOUR OWN!

Was told by Spencer on the Ashley Homestore website they price matched. Told in store they won't, that Amazon Ashley seller was a fraud. Also on on their website the couch comes in brown but in store they cannot order in brown. Dismissive and rude.

After having a bad experience with one of the Ashley’s homestores in our area. We had decided to just order from online but today my husband and I decided to try a different home store location which lead us to the home store in Bear De . From the time we walked in the doors we felt welcomed by each of the associated workers that worked there . Our sale rep name was Steven he was amazing with helping us pick and decide on our pieces . He was patient with us and happy to answer all of our questions and get us the best prices. And then there was Cyndy that worked customers she went over and beyond to help process our payment and she make sure before we left we understood our warranty and preparation on the delivery. Asher was also helpful in key points that we needed to know about the function of the prices that we selected. And last but not least the Gm Anthony did everything that he could do to make sure we was happy with our prices and payment options.. That team at the Ashley Homstore in Bear De gave us faith in hands on furniture shopping again. We will most definitely return to that location for any future shopping 🥰

Horrible experience picking up my furniture. Was told I was given a week to pick up a bed room set. Had sprained my ankle and ended up in the hospital moving into my new home. I Began speaking with the manager Anthony Capetola but he became very hostile and told my family we actually had only 48 hours as stated on the contract (which was contracting what he been told to us initially) and he would be returning the furniture and giving store credit. The manager would not give me his supervisors name or number and continued to talk down on us. Terrible customer service and now we have to find furniture elsewhere.

I would love to give this no stars but it won’t let me post the review. I bought two bedroom sets from this store. I have no complaints. Family visited for thanksgiving and slept on the mattress in one of my rooms.They really liked it and wanted to know where I got it. That same day we went to this Ashley store where The manager looked up the furniture that I bought - we told both the manager and the salesperson the she wanted the same mattress that is on my bed at home. They didn’t have the mattress in the store so she could see it but the manager said it was the same mattress only with a pillow top. She received her mattress and bed and the mattress is not the same mattress as mine. Not only is it not the same mattress, the bed squeaks awful. When she called the store she talked to the person who scheduled the delivery who said “Oh I can see here they sold you the wrong mattress.” When I went over to the store and spoke to the manager he said That the person who said it was a mistake got it wrong - the mattress they sold was exactly what my sister in law had ordered. After 15 minutes discussion with this man I knew there was going to be no compromise. DON’T TRUST WHAT THEY SELL YOU IS WHAT YOU WANT. They treat their customers horribly and were extremely rude. We’re all just a sale to them. They want nothing to do with us once they get their money.

We ordered couches in September and were told they would be in by October. Come December and have no idea when they will be delivered. When we went to cancel the order it took us four visits for a number of reasons such as there was no manager on duty etc. And I finally reached the manager he was insulting to us and we cannot even evaluate or correctly calculate the amount of a refund that we were owed. They had previously calculated tax and an incorrect discount on items that we took out of the store back in Se
John helped me out in getting a sectional price matched with their online price. I ended up getting over $500 bucks off! They had to call the regional manager to get the price input because it was so low the system wouldn't allow them to do it themselves!

It's Saturday November 27th at 1:07 PM. I just walked out of Ashley on Rte. 40 in Bear, De because I was ignored for 15 minutes and completely disrespected by a salesman that had passed by me three times. The last straw was when he acknowledged someone who had just walked through the door as I was approaching him. I've also been looking through other reviews and the only ones they bother to respond to are the positive ones. This store is a pathetic joke.

Tony did not follow us around but was easily available for questions. When we had made up our minds about items he followed us to each item we were interested and provided answers to our questions and suggested appropriate alternatives if we needed them. Once he had listed all of the items we wanted to purchase he took us to his manager Anthony as we were making a big purchase. Anthony was quick to tell us that he was discounting our purchases due to the volume sale. We didn't even have to ask if we could get a discount. We also purchased several accessory items, which were nicely wrapped for travel and helped us take them to our vehicle. If you need furniture I would recommend Ashley HomeStore on Route 40 for any of your needs. They have a wonderful selection in the store and lots of options! We are very happy with our experience!

Just bought a beautiful couch at the Ashley home store in Bear, DE. Steven, our salesman, was top notch! He was patient with us as we walked around the store for over an hour with our two young kids. He gave us details about each piece and directed us towards ones we had not considered. The store itself was clean and inviting. I purchased a sofa, mattress, and a box spring from Ashley Furniture. The sale associate that assisted me was Crystal Broomer who went above and beyond her job duties. She was very patient as I look around the store. I made a purchase , but the warehouse screwed my order up and sent two different box springs. The sale associate was able to fix the problem and followed up with me on several occasions. The warehouse in Pennsylvania was very rude and did not follow up with my complaint. Terrible customer service. I regret ever stepping in this store. I bought 2 dinning chairs, the store delivered the wrong chairs and refused to take them back citing that it was past 72 hours since I picked up the items. They made the mistake with the order, I lost money!!! Unhelpful manager and people who don’t care about returning customers. Stay away from this store!!!!

My husband and I visited this store with the goal of purchasing a mattress as we are in dire need of a quality mattress. After looking through the initial selection, we were a little defeated in hoping to find something we loved. However, Steven came to introduce himself and the experience was uphill from there. He is still training but it was evident that his customer service skills are above and beyond. He then introduced us to Frank who listened to our concerns and understood what we needed. We are now awaiting delivery for a quality mattress AND an adjustable base for a wonderful deal! This was definitely a great, quick and efficient process!!!

This review is for the Bear Delaware location on Polanski hwy. in Bear, Newcastle county, Delaware. We (Matt&AngelaForestieriSimpson) purchased two significant pieces of furniture on 9/25/2021 and we are very happy with the service we received from a terrific group of people. Michele was our very first contact and he was professional, respectful, and patient at all times. His knowledge of the merchandise and policies was extensive and impressive. He was down to earth and has a great sense of humor. We know how hard he worked to deliver the items we were interested in and at the price we were comfortable paying. He was genuine and sincere and it didn’t go unappreciated. He’s an impressive young man. Melissa, this youn dynamic young was our second contact and proved herself to be not only hard working and also genuine and sincere but quick to offer solutions when the process encountered challenges, she also made the difficult decision to reach out to her superiors and request rarely utilized strategies and techniques in an effort to deliver our request with the many recent events that greatly reduce the inventory, availability and deliver ability of just about the entire product line of everything they advertise . She was a complement to Michele and an important component in the process. She has earned and deserves the accolades she has coming. Disappointed to see some of the staff members not wearing masks. Even worse, you'd see them carrying them in their pockets. The rep that I had was very pleasant and we ended up buying furniture. I'm only subtracting the star for the people that work there that don't respect Covid.

My mothers experience was horrible. She got yelled at by the store manager, treated like she was a nobody. We didn’t get what we ordered, we got tricked into buying something, we were not okay with. The delivery people pressured my mother into signing off, so now my mother can’t do anything. And instead of customer service trying to help her out, HE yelled at her and made her feel less.
Our salesman frank was honest he help us with no pressure and I will be back and hope to have him again for our salesman thanks again Frank.
Had a very nice experience today at this location. My wife and I were having some difficulty making a purchase online so we called this location because it is right next to us for assistance. Cindy was very kind to us on the phone and suggested we come in to make our purchase due to there being some kind of issue when using the Ashley credit card online and having the billing and shipping address being different. So we came in and we were assisted by John, who was very helpful and informative in showing us the mattress we were purchasing. We were also helped by Anthony, the general manager, and he was so helpful and kind and really helped us out. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Very poor customer service especially by the store manager. We were in need of a bed set for a visiting family at a specific time, and we purchased same from Ashley with the salesman assuring us that it would be delivered in a couple of weeks. We made the purchase on August 1, two weeks later no delivery and no call. We made many inquiries and promised return calls for update were never made by them until we went in to request a refund. Store manager demanded 10 cancellation fee as stated on their receipt, although they bridged the promise to deliver. They don’t call you as a customer to inform you of any mishaps on their part. BOTTOM LINE IS, NEVER BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU VERBALLY, ALWAYS READ THEIR FINE PRINT BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE. THEY WOILD REVERT TO THE FINE PRINT IF THEY CAN NOT DELIVER AS PROMISED. Shady sales practice indeed!, your word should be your word.
I have never been so unsatisfied with a furniture store. I purchased a sectional, ottoman, and a recliner in March and have heard nothing from the company. I was told when I bought it that it would be 8-10 weeks. It has been more than double that time and all I've gotten was the run around from customer service. "It should happen next week" is literally the response I've gotten each week. I ask for a call back when they "hear back from the other warehouse." I called today only to hear that it would be hopefully October 3rd. If their associates would just say that it would be 6-8 months, I'd be fine. Just be honest with timelines. I'm cancelling my order. Just not worth the hassle.
If I could give negative stars, I would. Bought a bedroom set in February and paid for it up front. Just received a partial delivery yesterday (August) . Everything but the bed frame. At the time of the sale we were told we would hear from someone in a month or two to schedule delivery. More like never and we had to call the store for a month to get someone to answer just to get the run around and never get to a supervisor. They were never around and never got the numerous messages left. After that I got online to complain just to be told this store is privately owned and not a corporate store. Then they gave us a number to the main office which ended up being a little more helpful. Instead had to go to the store and found the regional manager there. Finally got the answers but still had to wait another three weeks and call to remind him. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Only reason I never got a refund was because the wife really wanted this set and not wanting to go start another wait time anywhere else. This post is being nice too.
I found so many different things that I liked for great prices. But then there were some things I liked that were too high priced!
When we arrived to the furniture store we were excited to find a new couch! However, no one offered to help us. The one gentleman was on FaceTime with a friend. The gentleman was in the corner of the store on the computer. We had asked the gentleman if he could help us and he said he could get someone else. The process of buying the couch went smoothly. I called a few weeks later to get an update on when our couch would be delivered and when our payments would start because we never received a bill. They NEVER answer the phone. It just rings and rings and rings. I am thinking of just returning the couch when they call for delivery and taking my business elsewhere. Ridiculous!

Good luck getting the Bear, DE to answer the phone. I’ve double checked to make sure I’m calling the correct number. From 11am through 4pm today no one is answering the phone. They finally answered today, 6/29. Beware! Ashley charged me $39.99 to have furniture delivered to the STORE! I’m not talking about home delivery. To the store! They refused to refund. Claimed corporate policy. Tampa, FL corporate offices said they never heard of it. NEVER have I had a furniture vendor do this. We are going to be redecorating 2 more rooms. I will not be considering Ashley ever again. It’s a shame because John Taylor, our sales person at the Bear store, is a nice guy and very helpful when we were there.

I ordered my dining room set ( 7 piece set) on 04/05, I’m still waiting for it. They told me that i will get it on 05/25. As my boyfriend and i prepared for that week, i got an email the week before the 25th giving me a future delivery date. So i called them and the warehouse they directed me to, that entire week and no one called me back. I think it was 05/18 when they left me a vm to call them back just to say that they will deliver my items on June 10th and if that was a good day. I am really disappointed and not happy with how they do not communicate. I did not feel like a valued customer. I’m giving you my hard earned money and you treat customers like they are bothering you. Will not order from here again until they get better training on how to treat customers.

Too many bad reviews. Went in not too long ago, salesman had his DOG with him -- it was about the size of a colt or larger. I'm very allergic. I wasn't shopping for any critters, and was surprised he was allowed to have a pony-dog on premises. I left and do not ever plan to return based on the way people have been scammed and treated so horribly. Shame on ASHLEY --- may it crumble to ASHES!
Chanelle Edwards would not get a star at all if possible. Our family just left because none of the staff had time to help us with furnishing our new home. An older gentleman said "are you planning on doing this tonight?, what are you doing?" Then proceeded to say he had more customers over there and would be back. So we left the store since no one would help us. We then called the store to express our concern about the lack of customer service. Chanelle Edwards answered (without even introducing whom I was speaking with). I told her I would be going to a sister store because there was a lack of customer service at this store. She then replied "Well that doesn't bother me at all, baby you do what you gotta do." I replied this has been the worst customer service I've ever experienced when going somewhere to spend a lot of money to furnish an entire house. Chanelle replied "Baby, I own my own business, good bye." And hung up the phone. No apology for the lack of customer service we encountered. We will never return to this store and neither will any of our family or friends. This was such an awful experience, we will not shop with Ashley furniture at all today or anytime in the future.
I wouldn't even give this store a one star review we purchased furniture on December 27th 2020 We were told it would be 6 weeks to get the furniture to after waiting 3 1/2 months 1 piece of furniture came to the store and they delivered the other piece 2 hours away to Brandywine Maryland We spoke with the manager Mercedes who apologised for their mistake and that it would only take 2 weeks to get the other piece of furniture it never came in he also said that if it didn't come in 2 weeks he would refund our money what he didn't tell us was that there would be a restocking fee for their mistake When we spoke to Mercedes the manager today he was very rude and wouldn't work with us at all we found out that nothing had been done to get the piece of furniture to the correct store buyer beware please don't purchase furniture from here it will be the biggest waste of time
No one called when the one piece we ordered came in after 3 months. We tried calling no one answers the phone for 1-3 first call 5 minutes the second 10minutes the third 15 minutes the fourth 20 minutes the fifth. This place is the worst never getting anything from this place again!!!!!!!
Ordered a couch on 11/28/2020 I was told 2 to 12 weeks it is now April 29th 5 months later and now I’m told June 14th WHAT ??? 7 months I probably could have had someone make me a couch in that amount of time I have to keep calling them for updates and it usually takes a few days no one seems to be able to answer the phones either totally ridiculous.....
Sorry to say but they have gone downhill.... there was only one sweaty older man to try and help me. He seemed like he was the only one running around trying to make everyone happy, didn't see any other sales people anywhere not even helping people !

I am NOT happy with the purchase or customer service at the Bear, De store. I’ll make this short. I ordered on 11/27/20 was told 2-12 weeks due to the pandemic. I understand that part. But at week 12 or close there should have been some communication about the purchase. Here it is week 19. I received one piece and it’s damaged. I noticed the scratched and chips before the item was taken off of the truck. As I am pointing these out to the driver he had a permanent black sharpie going before me filling in the spots and scratches UNACCEPTABLE! I called into the store as the driver was standing there and was told to return it and that they will send a replacement. NOPE don’t want a replacement. I would like ALL of my money returned. Here’s why: i called in January and you said that you had one of the pieces in but couldn’t delivery until you had both. Now in April you deliver one and say that the other isn’t up to manufacturers standard and then bring another damaged piece. Instead of taking responsibility when calling into the store, you give me attitude and when I ask for a manager you say there isn’t anything that the manager can do. During this process I’ve called numerous times. It’s unacceptable. Either refund EVERYTHING or I will sue you. Period!

Screw Ashley furniture. I ordered a sectional couch back in November of 2020. Was promised the couch originally 2 to 12 weeks from purchase. It's now 920pm March 27th 2021. They called me a week ago to schedule delivery for today between 3pm and 7pm. Was called earlier in the day and told the crew will be a little later than 7pm. I have yet to receive any call updating me as to when my couch will be delivered. At this point, I'm going into the store tomorrow as soon as they open and I'm demanding an immediate refund. Do not ever order from Ashley furniture.

Worst customer service. Nobody calls to let you know when furniture is delayed. Been waiting 12 weeks for a sectional that we ordered and just got told after I called to check on it again that we are another 3 weeks out. They take your money and leave you hanging with no contact and act like it’s an inconvenience when you call to check on it. Also you can get the same exact furniture cheaper and quicker other places online. I should have and would have if I knew the customer service was this bad.
Horrible. Was supposed to have furniture delivered 3-6pm. They came at 2 but I wasn’t home because I was expecting them at 3. Then they called and said they are going to charge me a 25% restock fee and a another delivery charge to deliver my furniture. Customer service is horrible and now they can’t deliver until February

It&'s been 4 months and I still don&'t have the furniture I&'ve ordered. They do not provide you with any updates about your furniture unless you come into the store and raise a fuss, because they do not answer the phone. Apparently the company is so disjointed that the store doesn&'t know or have any control of what is happening with shipping, customer service, or the warehouse and the same for any other department. The estimated dates are never even remotely firm. I went in at the beginning of Nov. for to check on a date and was told end of the month, went back in Dec after still not receiving anything or any updates and was again told end of the month.

They are the most unorganized, poorly structured business I have ever delt with. They will knowingly lie and tell you 2 to 6 weeks for delivery in order to make a sale. I am going on 17 weeks now without my complete order. Don't waste your time and effort.

Purchased a sectional in store and was told 4-6 weeks for delivery. Called the store on two occasions after getting no update from them for a month. Customer support desk were uninterested and told us covid had pushed things back to 4-8 weeks and they would call us. Third call they finally admitted that my sectional would not even be in the warehouse until Mis-feb. (4 months after placing the order) I was told I could come into the store to cancel and pay a “restocking fee”. They want me to pay a restocking fee for something that is apparently not even constructed yet. Disputed charges with credit card company for non-delivery of purchase. 4 months is unacceptable with no communication and telling me to pay a restocking fee on top of that? I have purchased through Ashley before and had no issues (Dover store) I will *never* return to this franchise.

Frank was friendly and attentive without being a stalker. Will definitely visit again. UPDATE: Recently went there looking for a media fireplace; Frank was apparently not there that day and the staff seemed mildly put out by my arrival. The young man who presumably drew the short straw was pleasant enough but told me that only the cabinet was in stock and he had no idea when the fireplace insert would be available. I thanked him, went to the showroom of a different furniture chain and bought the exact same piece (cabinet and insert) for less money.
REALLY THEY GET 00000 stars!!! While I did like a &"sales person&" didn&'t pounce immediately upon entry hardly any of the furniture and NONE of the recliners had prices or any other tags with details!!! I went to counter to ask &"how do I find out prices and details&". Employee at counter said &"he could give me 50% off&" and is said &"off what, there are no prices on the furniture?&" I said they make it too difficult to shop here and left!!!
Will update with 4-5 stars when all items are delivered. Purchased, in full, $6,583.00 in furniture from Frank on 8/19. Frank was exceptional, not pushy, and very professional. Invoice says 2-6 weeks, Frank was more honest about 6-10 weeks. Server, coffee table, and end tables arrived 9/5, excellent quality and the delivery team was professional and on time. That was 2 weeks & 4 days. As of 10/22, it has been 9 weeks & 2 days. Frank intermittently sends us notes communicating no updates, but I think even he doesn't know where in the manufacturing or supply-chain the remaining items are. Still waiting. No response in four emails (wife sent fourth this week) as visible from email screenshot below.
Purchased a desk in July, was told should be about 6 weeks at most, still have not received it. No one seems to have answers there and keep blaming the delay on COVID. They can’t tell me where it is or even if they have it in the factory. They gladly took my money in July though. Very unprofessional and disorganized. Will not use Ashley anymore and would highly recommend anyone considering buying there to reconsider.

The agent for selling was great, but that's the service you will get for they want that commission. We started with a couch, picked one out and paid in full. Paper work said 2 to 6 weeks delivery, here is it 8 weeks still now couch, countless phone calls for they clearly screen your calls because I could call from a different number and thats when they would answer. No phone call to let know its delay, no emails nothing. Finally after about 5 calls there was 1 piece which they said was an ottoman so we asked if we can get our couch delivered since we have no couch for we thought 2 to 6 weeks had to schedule special pick up 2 weeks in advance for trash service. we were told someone would call and scdule a 4 hour window, no call again. Finally I get a text the day before toschedule a time frame. the Couch comes with ottoman . So it wasn't the ottoman missing it was a chaise to the couch. they gave us a date when we can pick that up at store, again no call for any delays etc. So here is is 9 weeks later still half my couch is missing, finally we get its in and this time they delivered the chaise instead of us picking it up. Sure glad we started with JUST the couch, since wanted to do dressers, a bed and a dinning room set. I would never go back to ashley furniture for the service is terrible, they clearly don't care, they don't try to even make the customers come again. Lesson leanered. The couch is ok, its not what I thought it would be, a bit hard not as much comfort, the style is great considering you can choose with this kind of couch so I feel the price was definitely higher than it should be. The cushions constantly come out, you always got to push them back in.
After being promised a 2 - 6 week timeframe by their sales team, I purchased several items at the Ashley Furniture Home Store in Bear, Delaware in July, 2020 totaling almost $4,000.00 USC. As of current, and approximately 10 weeks later, I still do not have any of the items I paid for. I have called several times, and gone beyond my scope of responsibility as a customer to make sure my items are still being delivered. After almost 22 shipment modifications, I still have no solution from the management team. Nobody calls me back when promised, and despite my best efforts, I cannot get a resolution. They are the most unorganized, poorly structured business I have felt with.
Will not buy again from this Ashley Homestore Franchisee mainly due to owner's Price match policy which is different than the Corporate you see online.

I ordered a couch from Ashley Furniture back in April. In June, we finally received the couch delivered to our home. It was delivered with a tear in the cushion cover. We had the option to either get a new couch or receive a new cover. At the time, we had already gotten rid of our old couch and decided to just get a replacement cover. I reached out a week after the couch was discovered asking Ashley Furniture if the cover had been ordered, as I had not received a confirmation. The cover had not been ordered. At that time I sent the Guest Services department multiple pictures of the damaged couch and the ripped cover. Finally they ordered the cover. This took about 2 weeks to be delivered. Once received, the cover came in 2 pieces. At a glance this did not seem like the right covers, as the cushion cover that needed replaced is part of the chaise that is one piece. I sent a picture of the covers I received to guest services who confirmed that this was correct. After that, I reached out to 3rd party company to come out and put my cushion cover on (I was not attempting this as I didn’t even think they were the right pieces). The earliest appointment they had available for my area was 6 weeks out. I scheduled that appointment for August 20th. On August 20th the individual came to my house to put the cover on. Within a couple minutes of entering the house, the employee told me that this was not the right cover and he would have to submit a report for a new one. This would take 48 hours to process and then Ashley Furniture will be in contact with you to get the parts ordered. After not hearing from them for a week, I gave them a call. At that time they told me that my cover was on backorder, they would reach out to the manufacturer and get me an estimated date that I would receive the cover. If I did not hear from them in 5 days, to give them a call. They did give me a call back the same day after talking with the manufacturer but there is no estimated date on when this cushion cover will be available AND she added that when it is available, the manufacturer will have to ship it to the warehouse and THEN they will UPS it to my house. This process and responses from Ashley Furniture representatives are completely unacceptable. The product was delivered damaged and then I was sent the incorrect covers after that, and they have made no effort on their end to correct the issue within a timely manner. This ordeal has taken over 4 months at this point and is still not resolved, with no end date in site. I will not ever purchase another product from Ashley Furniture and will be sure to let others know not order from there either.
Bought a couch & table from there last year. Table broke within 3 months, called, someone came & looked at it to process a claim, but we never heard from them again. We’ve called and they don’t return our calls. Even when I get a rep they say it’s too late to process now. The warranty was good for a year and we called after 3 months of it being active. The table wasn’t cheap either . It was close to $700... very disappointed, won’t shop here or recommend anyone to go there. I’ve gotten better furniture and customer service from wayfair... a freaking online furniture store. Enough said..
I purchased the protection plan at this location for my sofa and loveseat, it broke. They are refusing to let me pick new furniture because it is a new owner who is not held to the protection service of the previous owner. It has been less than 5 years, I guess Ashley doesn't stand behind their product. I didn't read the fine print of the 600.00 plan I purchased, I took the sales associate word. I am now out of a sofa and loveseat in less than 5 years. Buyers beware of this franchise loophole!

Beware of delivery delays! Bought a sectional couch and chair on July 2nd and were told 2-6 weeks for delivery. It’s now past week 6 and we’re essentially being told they have no clue when the final piece of the sectional will be in stock. They even said it could be another six weeks! We’ve tried to get the in stock pieces delivered which is met with excuses on how it’s not possible. Would not recommend. We understand COVID has caused delays in stocking but we’ve been kept in the dark throughout this whole process.
I couldn&'t be more disappointed in this location! As I love Ashley Furniture/products, what I value is honesty!! I would rather the sales person as well as the store Manger to be honest and tell me a piece or in my case (several pieces!) are on back order!! And tell me that they do not expect these pieces until mid October when I&'ve purchased in mid July!!! I had to get the runaround and finally call corporate, and a nice lady told me exactly the estimated dates of warehouse arrivals and delivery!!!! Purchase in July and delivery mid October!!!! When you weren&'t told upfront!!! Is absolutely outrageous!!! I would have chosen something else! But as long as the store makes there quota for the day right! And the salesman makes his commission right! This location doesn&'t care about the customer, it&'s all about there bottom line!
The worst customer service at this location!! Crystal needs to learn basic phone etiquette! Lamont who feels it's okay to tell the consumer excuse driven details of their personal life that prevents him from proper customer service and whomever at this location who does not provide the service they're being paid to execute, all need to reevaluate why they are employed at this location. It is unacceptable and I will not be spending my money at this location. I only gave one star because it's required to leave a review. Do better!
We purchased a double bed for our daughter in March of 2019. One of the legs cracked where the “solid wood” was glued together. Our repeated calls and emails went unanswered for over 3 months. When they finally got around to getting back to us they said it was out of the year warranty and couldn’t do anything to rectify the situation. Very poor customer service, poor quality furniture and failure to back their warranty. I can not recommend this store.
After checking out about 6 furniture stores, we came back to Ashley because of Frank Ruiz! He made us feel like people instead of customers, helped us out to the best of his ability and had amazing customer service. We then had the pleasure of also being helped by Lamont Walker, Treavien Holley and Charmaine Lindsay who were wonderful. Overall best experience during our transition process of moving. The sales lady was extrelemy nice and helpful but.... it took us 4 months to receive the bottom part of my bed with hard wiring. After that we received a gift card so we decided to use it on May 30 and buy 3 lamps. I called today on July 10 and I was told again to call aftet 4:00 pm to speak with the manager. I called back, the manager never came on the phone and the lady told me that he had put in the lamps as floor model and she re-ordered them today. I asked her how long it will take and she told me she didn't know and she will call me once it comes in. I will never ever buy from them again. I put 1 star because the sales lady was very nice and helpful.
Worst customer service in the industry. Non responsive to numerous attempts to contact during COVID. We were told we needed to speak with store manager, Lamont Walker, but he is apparently in need of a babysitter and unable to be at work. We have been trying to reach Lamont since mid May and still no response. He is NOT there when we go in store (numerous occassions). Drive to Dover, they provide excellent customer service.
Called to get warrantee service for manufacturing defect and was asked to call back..... now no answer at all. Avoid them!!!! they wont stand by the products. To top it off the contact address you respond with isn't real...... It won't deliver. No response from emails or calls.
No one was there to help!

I love the Ashley store and furniture.
We bought a couch at this branch and were told that delivery will be after 2 weeks and we were fine with that. They came to our apartment the sectional won&'t fit the elevator. I asked the delivery guys if we can try to use the stairs instead and they checked the stairs and said it won&'t fit either, but this time they did not even try! What they did was just an estimate. These delivery people are not very helpful. Not even trying. I asked them if we could possibly detach a part of the couch and try to fit it in but they said NO. He then justified that he knows better because he&'s been doing this for 5 years, yeah right. These might be the same guys that has been delivering all Delaware and the reason why Ashley got 1 star. The customer service lady on the phone was not the nicest either, not helpful at all. It&'s like, it won&'t fit so we will take the furniture back. What a service. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS FURNITURE STORE.
My salesman John deserves 5 stars completely. He was patient, kind, and had a lot of knowledge about the products I ordered. However I will never order from Ashley again unless I am able to speak with a manager about my delivery service. I ordered my furniture on 2/26. I had an option of purchasing from a different company at a lower rate but John was so nice and helpful I really wanted him to receive his commission so I ordered from here. I was told 2-6 weeks for delivery however no one kept me updated on my delivery status. I would call Ashley’s each week to try to get an update and got a bogus answer. When my delivery was finally closer I received a call and they said it still wouldn’t be able to be delivered to me for another week. I asked if I could just have my money back and I was told it would cost me more to cancel everything. I called today 3/23 and the man who answered didn’t sound very understanding. I told him I wanted an update on my delivery and he said that he doesn’t think anything anywhere will be delivered. Sir, I asked about my furniture from YOUR STORE. That I paid for in FULL! The least you could do is politely say that you are not making any deliveries. And that’s a question you should for sure know the answer to not a guess! I felt like this company has played with my money. I understand the government shutdown is out of your hands but communicate with people who have spent thousands of dollars from your store! I could have picked it up myself! As of right now I do not recommend! There are too many other furniture stores with better customer service.

My daughter and I were desperate looking at numerous stores to find her a desk for her bedroom. Not until we reached the holy grail Ashley furnitures. We met Trea and he did a tremendous job in getting us what we needed. Not only did I get the desk but I got a living room and dining room set as well. He is a great worker and hands on with the deals. I will definitely come to Ashley's furniture again for anything!
Frank is great! Make sure you ask for him!! Everyone was very welcoming from the start all the way until the end. I’m from New York and I’m used to seeing some very nasty people. It was a pleasure to shop with such great people. John (the managers) kindness was only matched by his professionalism. A customer came in while I was checking out with and issues that the store could not fix or I should say until John intervened. He fix that gentleman’s issue instantly. Couldn’t have had a better experience. If I need furniture again I would drive down 134 miles back to this location just for the service. John, Sharon, and Lamont thank you so much!!!

This was the worst buying experience of my life!!! The salesman Larry attempted to sell me a more expensive product than I was looking for. When his attempt to upgrade his comission didnt work, he became angry and actually said " You are wasting my time". Lamont, the manager, choose to lie instead of having the incident reported to corporate. I would never ever do business with this company. I actually cancelled my order,instead of giving these arrogant low rent salesman a dine of my money!!

Our couches were falling apart, and we needed a replacement asap. Trea helped us to boil down to our specific needs and found us the perfect replacement sofa and loveseat combo.UPDATE: After checking the product at the Ashley HomeStore website, we found out that we'd been overcharged for both the furniture and the protection plan. I went to cancel the order and delivery, and they made me go into the store to begin the cancellation process (they won't cancel over the phone and then process a refund later). The sales guy there tried to hit me with 2 different sales recovery attempts before finally letting the cancellation go through.
My husband and I visited the Ashley Furniture store today and was impressed with Trea Sammie's customer service. He immediately greeted us with no pressure and was very knowledgeable about the different sectionals we liked. His patience paid off! We love the furniture we selected and would recommend anyone to visit the Beat store and ask for Trea.
My fiance and I were out shopping for our first mattress and Brent made that experience great. We had fun looking at all the furniture and the beds, but Brent gave us good advise and was a great help. Sammie at checkout was very informative and friendly and they both made our first mattress buying experience wonderful!
Would never buy from Ashley. My son has been waiting two weeks for a sofa that the delivery men thought was to large for the foot and just drove away. He is still waiting for them to come back but they “ have to wait for the right tome for a delivery on their area”. After all this time it should be a special delivery.
Horrible experience in the Bear, Delaware store. Car sales environment. Store manager hides in the back and refuses to speak with customers. My wife and I went in to look at a bed for our 4 year old son that we saw online. We originally just wanted to look at it in person before making the online purchase but were told by the floor sales rep that he could work with us in store. After talking to him for a few minutes we decided to purchase a bed, dresser and mirror package. He originally quoted us a price around $850 which I passed on and said $700. The sales rep went back and forth with his manager multiple times to get the price where we wanted (close to the online offer). After multiple back and forths with the sales rep, the “sales manager” came to talk to us and advised us that he couldn’t get the price we wanted with the shipping cost but could do $750 which including cutting the shipping charge in half. We decided to not purchase the mirror and agreed with his offer price of $696 for the bed/dresser and 1/2 shipping price. The “sales manager” shook our hands and my wife jokingly said, “don’t come back with bad news again”. He laughed and said “no we’re good, the front desk will call you up shortly to complete the transaction”. 2 minutes later the original sales rep came back and said, you’re going to be mad, my manager said no less than $780. Apparently the person that shook my hand and gave us the price we wanted was not the store manager. We immediately asked to speak to the store manager and a few minutes later we were told he was too busy to talk. I know it was only $80 difference but after being in the store over an hour and being told numerous times different prices we decided to leave. On the way out I asked to speak with the store manager again and was told again that he was too busy (even though he wasn’t on the sales floor). About and hour after leaving the store I called to speak with the store manager and was told again he was too busy. The representative on the phone took my complaint and actually said the “sales manager” that made the deal with me wasn’t a manager at all. Just another sales rep. I still haven’t received a call back from the store manager. Go to this store if you want to be lied to, purchase furniture in a car dealer environment and waste your free time. Oh and the “sales manager” also told us that online purchases take at least 4-6 weeks for delivery and that’s why they offer free delivery. Unfortunately because my son liked the bed so much we purchased only the bed online.. Ships in 2-3 days (free of charge) vs. the 4-6 weeks we were told in the store. Overall just a HORRIBLE in store experience.
My wife and I came in for recliners and got much more. Frank was so kind, helpful, and humorous. I felt like he listened to our wants and talked us through our questions. He was terrific. Sharon helped us with checking out. She was polite, caring, and made us feel comfortable with our purchases and the payment plan. I would change everything about this experience if I could. The first salesman followed me throughout the entire store, completely hovering, when I said I wanted time to look at everything first. Then I was told that online orders take 4+ weeks, false! Online has free next day shipping.. the store gave me an estimate of 2-6 weeks for $69.99, no option to ship to store. The saleswoman I dealt with did not inform me of the prices at all, or that a down payment was required. She was constantly trying to help other customers while dealing with my order, to the point of walking away with them on multiple occasions. While checking out, the woman was yelling at a fellow associate. When I questioned a price, she brushed me off. It seems they value sales over service. In the future, I will definitely order online. The store requested this review for their superb customer service.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had, I was buying furniture for my whole house. I felt very rushed by the sales person and wasn’t told the furniture would not be in for more then 9 weeks from order, plus he wouldn’t give us a price on anything and kept saying you won’t pay anywhere near that don’t worry, but we spent $15,000 and everything was the same price on the signs in the store then on delivery we got the whole wrong table set delivered and store manager is avoiding our calls and corporate tells us there is nothing that can be done! Also some furniture didn’t work properly on delivery And it’s been almost 2 months and no one has contacted me for repair yet! At this point I wish I could cancel and go elsewhere!!!!!

One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a store of any kind. We were looking for a kitchen table and chair set. We showed the salesman a cheaper price on a competitor website to see if they would price match. He left to talk to the store manager and got us a price including delivery and set up. We originally were looking at the regular height but settled on the counter height. When we were ready to pay we went up front and the store manager said it was wrong and the price was going to be almost $200 more. Stating the price was for the regular height table. To me this was a classic bait and switch tactic. From there the manager and the worker with him proceeded to argue with myself and my girlfriend over the sudden price increase. They said that they only rented the name of Ashley Furniture and didn't have to follow the website rules. They were extremely dismissive of our complaints and acted as if they didn't care if they got our business or not. I shudder to think how many other people have gotten caught up in this obvious scam and buckled under and paid the higher price. I would tell anyone to never shop in this store.
There was no pressure by the sales people at all. I was able to browse the entire store uninterrupted and when I was ready to talk to a salesperson I got one. The entire process was very easy and stress free

After having issues with Urban Furniture we found Ashley Furniture on Rt40. Our experience with Marcus exceeded our expectations and we will return for any future furniture needs.
Today we shopped at this store. We were helped by Treavian. Upon entering the store we were greeted by him. He asked what we were in search of today and we shared that we were looking for a sectional. He took us to the set that was advertised which we really liked. As we discussed if the sectional would fit in our family room, he excused himself so we could talk freely. He returned and measured the set for us. He also showed us another sectional that was smaller, to see if we would prefer it. We ended up leaving to go to another furniture store and then returning. Treavian worked with us to get the original set we wanted and discount on the delivery fee. Cyndy completed our paper work and was very pleasant as she explained the final details with us.

They have a big self help shopping digital catalog for additional models not on display due to space. You can save the models of interest in a shopping cart but with no prices (that's a boomer). The salesman will give you the quotes and any sales discounts available in your selections. We had a budget which they were able to come down to. Delivery is available at $75 (covers installation until you are fully satisfied, great deal). Furniture delivery date is a bit long for our purchase so not sure if it's relevant to inventory. Overall, a good experience and priced at discount with room for negotiation.

Ordered a sectional from this location and at the time of purchase thoroughly reviewed the configuration that we wanted with the salesperson. We were assured of the pieces we needed to order to achieve that configuration, but when the pieces were delivered they were oriented incorrectly so the configuration was not correct. This was after waiting 2 weeks for delivery. I called the store expecting them to either expedite the delivery of the correct pieces OR provide a discount on the item in the form of a partial refund (I would have been content with either), but they refused and instead quoted me another 2-6 week delivery period. Because of this interaction, they've absolutely lost a customer and I hope this serves as a warning to others that (at least this location) Ashley Furniture is not worth doing business with.
I am not normally one to post reviews, however the two ladies that I dealt with last night I felt deserved the time. I was greeted by Andranae who was both friendly and knowledgeable, I had come in knowing exactly what I wanted and she was able to assist me in achieving that with ease and no hard sales pitches! We moved onto Cyndy for checking out and setting up delivery who was also wonderful and very knowledgeable as well, Thank you to them both as I am not a shopper I know what I want and I want to get in and out of stores. Ashley is very lucky to have these ladies as employees, I will be back. . .

Frank, was awesome! We went to the store with one type of living room style for our family room in mind. However, once we told him the dimensions and showed him pictures of the room; quickly found that the set wouldn't work for our family room. Frank, patiently worked with us, for over a hours, to find the perfect furniture, in the color we wanted. Again, if you need furniture go see Frank.

My experience is at the very front end of the buying process. Our salesperson, Andranae, was very pleasant to deal with and answered all of our questions regarding a chaise sofa and coffee table for the sitting area of our master bedroom. Sammie finished up the order where we paid and gave our address for delivery and was also pleasant. The 50% Labor Day Sale is impressive for a lower price as I was expecting the 50% to come off a larger mark up and bring the price down to what you'd normally pay. So, we await delivery and we'll see/hope that the negative reviews don't come true for us. I did ask Andranae to call me for the next 50% off sale, as we need to replace our family room couch and lounger. In looking over their choices, I have to say that the sofa/coffee table, we bought, and the theater style recliner/leather couch, we'd like to get, seemed to me to be of decent quality. Overall, I'd say the furniture is good for everyday living. I have 3 labrador retrievers who believe the couch is theirs. I think it will stand up to them for 10 years. We'll see, but, so far, so good.
We walked in and Trea immediately greeted us with a big smile. I have to admit, I’m a bit picky when it comes to furniture. Trea walked us around and answered every question throughly and honestly. He didn’t even get frustrated when I would ask the same question. He was so helpful and the reason we went back and purchased the furniture we did. He made the experience a wonderful one and we’re so excited about our new beds (which cool you down when you lay on it!) and our new couch! Thank you! Edit* Cyndy and Sammie were so helpful! I went back to talk about billing and delivery and they were beyond helpful. I laughed the entire time and really felt comfortable. Who knew you could do that talking about a bill. I definitely recommend!

I have purchased furniture from Ashley furniture store in the past but never from their location in Bear, De. I was pleased with the service when I was there buying furniture until it was time to sign the papers to purchase the furniture. I was told that if at any time I was not happy with my decision, I would have 72 hours to cancel the purchase on the credit card. What they failed to omit was that I would still have to pay 30% of the cost of the furniture. When I called the Bear, De location to explain the situation, I was told that there was nothing they could do. Seems like shady business to me.

After posting a 5 star review I realized I had made a terrible mistake. After purchasing a living room set and couches. The customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. The employees give false information and neither does the store or the warehouse have any idea what they are talking about and can not find any answers for my issues. "All I can do Sr. Is send a email and wait" is the answer i have received over and over again and have never received a follow up call I have had to reach out to them.I had purchased coffee table that has been damaged multiple times and yet to have it fixed and it has been over two months. Each and every time I call there is a new excuse. I will leave a photo of what I am dealing with now. Just to show I am not making a false review. Not the store wants to send service to fix it and it is supposed to be a new piece. Be careful with these people they are crooks in the sense of customer service. People in store where very nice but that is expected when being a sale rep.

We were very happy with our initial experience at Ashley's. The salesman, Marcus, was very helpful as was the manager. When we got home and examined our paperwork more closely, no one went over it with us at the store, we found almost everything was incorrect. We had to return the next day it get it all straightened out. We ended up spending somewhere between 6 and 7 hours at the store in total. Hopefully it will be worth it once our furniture arrives!
Great place to shop for furniture. My salesman was Frank. He allowed me to walk around and look at what was on display without bothering me. Once I had a chance to see what they had to offer, he was attentive and answered my questions. His manager Scott was more than happy to add support when I requested quick delivery by checking with regional management to see if he could find stock at any nearby warehouses. Between the two of them, they were able to get me everything I wanted. Cyndy is the office manager and she was great writing up the sale and finalizing the purchase. All in all it was a very positive encounter

Have been to both stores in Newark and Bear. If you are not buying something that day salesman can not be bothered and will go to another customer. Even though there was barely anyone in the store. The delivery takes almost a month to receive even though they will say different. Shop there at your own risk. Those 5 star reviews seem like there from the same bot.
I went to Ashley furniture to look at their bedroom sets and had a hard time deciding on what to get. Chris is awesome and was very helpful and patient with me. I'm very happy with what I got. Cyndy was very nice while checking out and going over the paperwork.

I always have a great experience when I visit the Ashley Furniture located in Bear. I had the pleasure of being helped by Lorri, Cyndy and Crystal and all three were amazing. Crystal had just been promoted to Store manager that same day I believe and I say it was well earned. Crystal made sure she helped me in every way to make sure I leave with the dining room set that I wanted. I will definitely be returning for my living room set. I also purchased my amazing mattress from this store in May 2017.

Brent was very helpful and knowledgeable I also liked that he showed me the section for the furniture I was looking for gave me basic info and then allowed me space to look around on my own and after a few minutes checked in on me to see if I needed him for anything or more time to look around on my own. I hate it when sales people don’t let you breathe and Brent provides a great balance for me.

Had great experience with Brent. He was friendly, informative, and questioned size of our room to make sure furniture would fit appropriately. Ended up ordering the door buster special sofa, along with a chair and ottoman. Brent offered a better price for chair and ottoman, since sofa was a lower price. Store manager was nice, but lady at desk was a little unfriendly at first. Lady calling to set up delivery was super nice. Furniture delivered when promised, no problems. Love the color of the furniture. Material seems to be good, hopefully will hold up well.

I was a little skeptical returning to Ashley after having a less than pleasant experience in the past, but Brent definitely changed my mind and experience. As I was leaving, I thanked him, laughed at the fact that I walked in so sure about what I did and did not want, Brent showed me ways that these items would work for me and I was happy to oblige. Cyndy was also excellent in finalizing my transaction and explaining all terms, etc. . I returned to the store a few days later to make an additional purchase in which Brent went above and beyond to assist. Aaron assisted in the paperwork at the end and as before, everyone was personable and the experience terrific.
After months of full bedroom set shopping and other furniture outlets and stores I was about to give up and call it a day when I decided to give this store a look and boy was I happily surprised to see that they had exactly what both my husband and I wanted and needed! Had a great "low pressure" shopping experience and I found the furniture I was looking for. In fact, Ashley's prices (and low pressure) makes me never want to shop at Raymour and Flanigan again. I am a little surprised that the online pricing seems slightly better than what I paid in the store. Despite all of the negative reviews, I will have to say my experience at the bear location was awesome. Everyone was polite and Andranae make our shopping experience very easy! And when trying to fit our budget Crystal also was a great help. Crystal is the reason we revisited the store more than once. They where both beyond accommodating.

This store has the worst customer service. I was told one thing it ended up being another the manager John is just rude and unprofessional he got very ignorant and talked down to me I usually don’t do the corporate complaining thing but he has definitely earned a phone call they need better sales training and customer service training now could he as a manager be a role model to his employees of he can’t even talk to a customer right .. I WOULD never consider doing new business with this store again not to mention it has been almost a month since I ordered and I still have no delivery date for my furniture. Never AGAIN
My husband and I spent the last month feeling pressured and crowded by staff at various furniture stores. Going to Ashley Furniture was the best decision we could have made. On arrival we met Marcus who was friendly and personable, but not overbearing as we had experienced in other places. He explained the layout and pricing of the store. He allowed us to look and discuss the couches privately, but made himself available to answer all of our questions and checked on us periodically. When we made our decision we were greeted by Cyndy who ensured everything with our order was correct and that delivery would run smoothly. She was an absolute sweetheart and made the buying process fun again. I had been so stressed after our previous experiences, but the staff reminded us how exciting buying furniture for our first house is supposed to be. We will definitely continue to furnish our home by stopping in at Ashley to see their large collections and their awesome staff.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT THIS STORE! I bought a bedroom set in January and the finish is bubbling and lifting off of my dresser. The store sent me to the service department who told me it was cosmetic and they could not do anything about it unless it was 72 hours after purchase. I called the store back and they blew me off. The finish keeps bubbling down the top of the dresser and they said it's NOT a defect. Very disappointing. Don't waste your time or hard earned dollars going there. I would give it a negative 0 star if I could, but I had to choose 1!

Thursday 3/21/19 had gone to the Bear location for Ashley home store. I had purchased my dining room set there more than 2 years ago. Did still have my paperwork. Des and Cyndy were so helpful and friendly in helping me to reorder a chair that I had damaged. Even though I could not order just one had to order 2 chairs I was given a good price. Both were were very helpful in completing the process, was able to show me a picture so I knew I was getting the correct chair. I was so afraid that after 2 years it may not be available. The process was quick and painless and I was happy that It was still available. Thank you girls for great service. I will be back when I need new furniture.

I love Ashley furniture this is my second time purchasing furniture from the Bear, Delaware store. The prices are reasonable and the furniture is really nice. The sale specialist both times I have gone have been really nice. I just purchased my beds room set and my sale specialist was Heather who helped me make the right purchase and also answered any questions I had along the way. Thank you again Heather and Darryl who did my transaction and explained my coverage and went through the numbers with me to explain what was what. I definitely highly recommend this store to anyone out there who is looking for furniture!! It's the BEST!!

I needed new furniture because my furniture was old and out dated. I was helped by Crystal and Daryl when I went to the bear Delaware location to buy furniture. I knew exactly what I wanted along with what color scheme I desired. Crystal was great when it came down to showing me the different selections on the computer screen. She even help me pick a lovely dinning room set. Everything I picked was exactly like I imagined it in my head. Daryl walk me through the paperwork and did it with so much ease. I'm definitely purchasing from Ashley Furniture again.
I've ordered from here about 5 years go and loved everything about the experience. This time I had a hard time, only because I came in for one item but I fell in love with something else and ended up with 3 items in total. I was able to get the custom shape that I needed for my sectional and Checkout went well and Des was helpful. One week passed and I called the store to ask when I should be expecting a delivery. The normal delivery window was 2-6 weeks. Cyndy said it wasn't in (wharehouse) right now and to call back in a week. I called back and it still wasn't in stock. She assured me that she would keep an eye on the order and will let me know immediately when the order was in. A week after (3 weeks later) Cyndy, called and said my order was in and ready for delivery. I was ecstatic. She was sweet and helpful. So now I'm just waiting for delivery. I'll update after my furniture arrives.

I am so disappointed in the service at the Bear location. As a long time customer through many generations with Ashley&'s this store by far made me sick to my stomach to walk in or even drive by it. It all started when I got married to man of my dreams and moved to Delaware because of my husband&'s new job. Little did I know that the stuff was nothing like the service I and my family was used it. As a wedding gift my parents bought an bedroom set and table to eat at and a small coffee table and a set of love seats. The sells person was so helpful and kind and sold us the insurance on ever single item. He told us that the company would replace it or try to fix it without any questions. THIS WAS LIE. The bedroom came in 8 weeks and then a week later it broke they turned around and keep us waiting for almost a year to fix it. Then the loveseat started tearing we called they said we can&'t do anything for us. Waste of money my poor father has to pay because of lies the sells men told us.
Had nice experience . . . store was clean with a lot of selections. Sales staff (Crystal) was social without being overbearing and once questions were asked she promptly answered and worked a very good deal--she was willing to price match and attempted to get every possible discount. I was quite pleased with my selection and the availability. Previously purchased a sectional about a year ago from a different Ashley store and had to wait nearly a month before delivery - this time only 4 days Associate (Sammie) completed transaction in a short, friendly and quick way.

My father and I stopped in the store to purchase some furniture for my apartment. We were really impressed by the prices and found a lot of stuff we really liked. The associates were all really nice too - we were assisted by Heather and Cyndy. We will definitely be looking here again if we need more furniture in the future!
I won&'t waste much time on this review. Stopped in about 6 years ago. Manager was a total ass in under 2 minutes flat. I pity the people that work for her Have not set foot back in the store since.

Ashley Furniture in Bear, DE is one of the best furniture stores i've been to. Usually furniture stores are such a grueling annoying place to go because you constantly get bugged by the salesmen and pressured into buying something you didnt even want in the first place. My first purchase from Ashley furniture was nearly 4 years ago, and i must've gone back and forth at least 3 times before buying my furniture, in which the saleman helped me furnish my entire living room with things i absolutely love and adore now. So i knew exactly where I had to go when my coffee table got destroyed and i needed a new one. Not only is Ashley furniture a warm friendly environment to be in, the quality of the furniture is amazing and the prices are even better. There is (almost always) a sale going on and there are such great financing offers that the salesmen will do all they can to accommodate your situation. They have great warranties too. My salesman, Marcus, not only searched for my previous coffee table to see if it could be replaced (which unfortunately my table was discontinued so i bought a complete different one), he also matched the online price for me and tried hard to get me out of a shipping fee, which couldnt be avoided. Not only that, when it came time to pay for it, I was not prepared to put a small deposit down (which is usually required) so the manager John helped accommodate my situation. Like i said, the staff at this store (i wish i could remember everyones names to give them personal shoutouts) is just so amazingly friendly and understanding and always helpful. Its probably one of the only furniture stores i will ever shop at. Theres something here for every style and taste!
Recently came into Ashley looking for a bedroom set. I called over the phone first and spoke with Darryl. He was very helpful, funny and kind to us even when we arrived at the store and immediately got us to the right person.

Crystal and Sammie were awesome! They helped me locate a couch in a very obscure color and helped arrange pickup the same day. Would've been a very tedious and exhausting process as four other furtniture stores were either unable to assist or had no idea what I was talking about. Crystal verified the color and model I wanted throughout the process to ensure accurate ordering. Sammie contacted the distrubtion center and ensured that same day pickup was obtainable. Shame to read some of these other reviews but my experience was nothing but pleasant. Hopefully marks a positive change because I'll certainly be a repeat customer!
