Ashley furniture is by far the worst furniture store to buy from. First let me say, the couch I bought was on sale online and I hadn’t noticed til after we bought it. They charged full price and never mentioned the sale. The credit card inquiry is a HARD inquiry and reduced my credit by 80 points. Mind you it was a $1500 couch and the line was approved for $6,000. Okay, not the stores fault but they could’ve informed me. I first bought the couch from the Boca location, the sales people seemed SO friendly. So much so I chose Ashley over Harvartys because I appreciated the sales person so much. Boy what a mistake. We bought our couch, they said 4-6 weeks. Delivery day comes and they only bring half the couch. They tell us DAY OF, the other part is back ordered for another month. Sure, okay. Sucks but we can’t perform magic. A month goes by, and nothing. No call, no update, I check online and it just says it’s back ordered. I contact our sales rep, he forgets to check, I contact him again, he tells me I need to call customer service. I call customer service and they tell me i need to call my sales rep. Talk about an inefficient process. We find out that the couch has been discontinued and we won’t be getting it. AFTER I called several times and waited 2 months. I’m furious by this point. I go into the Boca location and all they say is we can offer you a refund and give you free delivery on your next purchase. So I went to the Fort Lauderdale location, we found a couch we liked, spoke to the guys about what happened and they seemed to want to resolve it. I asked for some sort of discount for this frustration and he offered to pick something off the sales rack. A little insulting, we just waited 2 months and I had to do their jobs for them to figure out where my couch was but okay. I eventually got them to offer 10% off the ottoman but really was that even a good offer? Well just wait for this. Couch gets delivered 2 weeks later. They are supposed to take back the half of my couch we are returning and the delivery guy has no idea about it. Poor communication between vendors. So I have to go call the store, customer service and then figure it out. Delivery guy rolls up, says the couch won’t fit in the elevator. Makes me walk over to show him it will. 3 men were there, they damaged the outside of my apartment wall, the inside of my apartment wall like a massive chip off of it and leave with several stains on the couch. I’m at a loss here. I called customer service, they tried telling me the driver denies the damage, but I have proof, time stamps and it’s very obviously it’s manage from the couch. Guy says sorry but we listen to the drivers. He eventually creates an investigation and now I have to wait 48 hours. 48 hours for them to likely deny my request and make me pay for the damage they caused. Oh! And if you don’t report the damage in front of the 3 men standing there to the customer service again within a second, they disqualify it. I’m home alone, a female and you want me to bring up the damages in front of them? You can’t be serious. I called maybe an hour later at most. But they don’t want to honor the “within 24 hours terms and conditions”. No resolutions. The customer service is arguably some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. The couch itself is not the same couch you sit on in the store. It is not the same material, it’s not the same quality and it’s far cheaper than their show room. Never, will I shop at Ashley furniture again. What a nightmare.

Me and my husband went early on a Saturday morning and worked with Sam. We were looking to fill a few rooms in our home and he let us explore on our own but kept a close eye in case we had any questions. if there was a three minus stars, I would definitely rate this place that . Warning, warning, warning! Do not buy any recliners from them as you will be stuck with FURNITURE that comes without it bottom, cushioning, or well or without the side cushioning, they sent two repair people out who put in foam and put in some wouldn’t even call batting. It was so thin and refused to do the right thing and refund me my money on the defective not once. but twice recliner, which they admit, was sent not once not twice and was defective both times, but are refusing to give me a new one which I really don’t want another one of these ones since it’s been twice with their arriving without all of his hearts and the only answer I get is well all sales are final! Also, I took out the 33 or four year extended warranty which apparently they do not honor or will not honor. And all my state that they fixed it twice to what they consider industry standards.😱😱😱 do not buy any stuff, furniture or recliners because you’re going to get it without all of this stuffing or cushioning in it and then they will refuse because they restocked it twice two different recliners, but clearly admit that they sent me not one but two defective recliners that I cannot use without sitting on two pillows it is so uncomfortable and they are not a good company. They are with citi do not buy furniture from them you are properly warrant and properly advised. I hope you read this post and I hope you have bought anything from them go to a better company not Ashley/Citi

The worst service I've ever had in my life. The salespeople are liars; they'll tell you anything to sell you the product. The delivery was the worst experience; I've had the furniture for two weeks.The furniture they delivered to me doesn't fit the door and it's been sitting in front of my door for over a week. They won't give me a date to pick it up. They gave me a tentative date and said they were going to replace it, but they didn't. It's absolutely ridiculous.All lies, stay away from these people, the worst furniture company you can have.

I just moved here from STL I went to a few different places for furniture. When I went to City/ Ashley’s I was greeted by Sam. He listened to my needs , showed me around. I chose a bedroom set. He had it all written up in no time . I walked around the store some more looking for other items and saw a different bedroom set I liked better! Sam had no problem canceling the first set and re writing the 2 nd one I picked . I am so happy with the set and will go back for the living room furniture. 💜

I had a very bad experience with this store. When I bought my sofa, the salesperson offered me a protection plan. I specifically asked if it covered a certain issue, and he confidently said yes, that if anything happened I could just call the warranty company and they would take care of it. Because of that, I decided to buy the protection plan. When I actually needed to use it for exactly what I had asked about, they told me it wasn’t covered. I felt completely misled, because the salesperson lied just to sell the warranty. That’s dishonest and unacceptable. I asked for a refund, and they only gave me less than half of what I paid for the protection plan. I’m very disappointed and feel cheated. I do not recommend this store to anyone.

I came into the store looking to purchase a specific product that I knew was in stock. This should have been a simple walk-in and order, but the sales agent repeatedly tried to upsell me to a different product I didn’t want. I told him several times that I only wanted the item I came in for and was not interested in any upgrades or financing. Despite making that clear, he kept bringing up financing options. I even told him that if he mentioned it again, I would leave — and when he did, I followed through. You lost a sale and a valuable customer. I just moved into the neighborhood and have always purchased from this franchise, but I will never buy from this particular store.

John at the Boca Showroom was amazing! We were able to furnitures an entire home within 2 hours. He was very knowledgeable about the product and patient with us. I highly recommend visiting the showroom, the selection is awesome!

Don’t buy their warranty, I bought one for my dining room table which is all wood and when I called regarding food stains to my table, a technician came out and told me I was getting a new table top and then a few days later it was denied. After many phone calls this is still an issue. My warranty is now expired and they send me an in store only check to use (which the store is 4 hours away, we bought the table and shipped to our new address). Someone from the store was supposed to call and never did, only someone from social media. I wouldn’t have paid for a warranty if I knew my table wasn’t covered from food stains..

Ordered a bed online for my daughter, arrived completely damaged by some 3rd party delivery group neither of them spoke English. Called customer service and they couldn’t give me any answers and also barely spoke English. Now my daughter has no bed to sleep in and it’s been over a week without a replacement or any answers. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Better off paying a little more for better quality and customer service.

I've been buying from ashley for the last ten years.And always had really good experience and the quality of furniture is good. Unfortunately, my last buy, it came damaged. And maybe it happened during shipping, but i'm sure they will take care of it. Wull not stop me from buying again. I just hope they fix this soon.

Ashley I bought a dining room and table and chairs and spent $1,900. I bought the warranty/protection plan on it and there was damage to the table, so I made a claim. Someone came out and said I’d be getting a new table, so I was happy. Then I got a call that our claim was denied and it’s not damage from food/water but yet it was damaged from food and the technician who came out even agreed. I have made several calls to try to get this fixed and no one was helpful. I got an in store credit check for my “money back” for the warranty. I can only use it in store, and a store that’s 4 hours away from me! I called customer service (again) they said someone in sales at the store would call me but nothing. I’m sorry but this experience has been the worst and I will never buy furniture from here again.

At the Boca Location I was helped by both Angel Fuentes and Gian Carlo Roncal. They helped me be able to get my couch and dining set delivered for the following day. They went above and beyond to make sure this was possible (even with system/technical difficulties!!) before the cut off time. Thank youuuu!!!

I posted a previous review about a bad experience where I felt that I was treated poorly because of my ethnic background. I had shopped at city furniture for a long time prior to that encounter. But on that day after work, no one was there to help me. And when someone finally came to help me, I was treated poorly. City furniture really took the initiative to reach out to me and apologize for the trouble. And it wasn’t only words but actions too. I went back to the store to give it another chance to buy a floor lamp and the lady who greeted me (after 5 pm on a week day) was so sweet and kind. I went back again yesterday to buy a dresser and bookcase and two people helped me: Ava and Peter Cutler. They were both so wonderful and very helpful. They helped me to get the best deal and find exactly what I was looking for. I originally put my first review as a 3.5 because of the really bad experience but now I want to say 5 star because of how well I was treated by the City Furniture staff, both on sales and customer service. I have been shopping there for 15 years now and I will keep coming back.

I Was that Ashley furniture/city furniture on Saturday, July 12, 2025. I was greeted by Tonya Who was so sweet and helpful and patient with me. We found the furniture I wanted, and she also helped some friends that were with me. I went back to the next day to look again and make sure it was exactly what I wanted without the help of my friends. I did change a few things and even though I wasn’t ready for delivery, she informed me that the next week They were having a sale and would call and remind me. That next Saturday she did call me And reminded me of the sale. I went the next day and finished the sale and scheduled it with her Help. I saved about $250 which I really appreciated. Thank you, Tonya for such a pleasant experience.

i would like to share my nightmare experience with city furniture/ ashley’s ! i relocated from nj in july ! after hearing how great city furniture is i decided to go there to purchase 4,000 dollars cash in furniture ! most of the furniture was ok , but the couch /chase was a nightmare ! it was defective ! everytime i sit the cushion would dink and there is a big space that my but will sink into ! i went back to the store and i complained ! they give me a number for. customer service ! they sent out someone to look at the furniture ! the do call adjuster look at me and said “ miss i see what u are talking about “ he took pics and left ! 3 min later i got a call back from customer service service , jan was so nasty and insisted nothing was wrong with the furniture! said nothing can be done ! i forgot to mention paid 300$ for insurance on this furniture ! i went back to the store and as much as they try to convince the agent i have insurance there is a defect in the couch , she said to me its wear and tear not a manufacture defect ! excuse me, i an 135 lbs live by myself and bought the furniture in july ! this is un acceptable ! i had high expectations from this furniture store ! i will never advise anyone to purchase anything there ! what’s the purpose of me buying the warranty? they bluntly refuse to do anything to fix the situation .that space open up everytime i lay on the chase very uncomfortable! should i go through the hassle of taking them to small claim court ? only been in florida for 4 mts and spend my hard earned cash ! no finance cash money ! this is a disgrace !!!

I was greeted by someone when I walked in. I told her I am looking for something on sale or clearance (I was looking online earlier in the day at items on sale and decided to go into the store), she informed me they do not have sale or clearance and decided not to assist or show me around and end up assisting clients that walked in after me. I had to look on my own. I saw a bed I wanted and asked someone to assist me. While the associate that was sent to assist me was checking me out, I asked if she can show me other beds in that price range. She showed me one model I thought I wanted but then I saw another model for the same price that I liked more. I asked the associate if she can switch to the other one instead. The comment I heard after switching is “it’s a very busy day today.” Which seems to me like she was implying I was wasting her time and she could be helping other customers. I addressed what she said and informed her I can look for this model online if she would rather help someone else. She claim she was speaking in her mic and it was not towards me. From my understanding, you have to press a button to speak into the mic and she was not pressing the button. I have shopped at city furniture before and I am shocked at the customer service I received today. No one seem like they genuinely wanted to assist me from the moment I walked in.

We bought a couch from Cat and honestly? We’re not sure if we got a piece of furniture or adopted a majestic, nap ready couch. It’s so comfy we’ve considered canceling all plans, including work. Cat is the best and would give the couch and seller 10/10

I will say picking out a new couch is no easy task but Cat was beyond helpful (and very patient) while we explored all of our options. We found the perfect one for our home and can’t thank Cat enough for being a blessing to work with. Very happy with our purchase!!

She never gave me the total on the credit card and just handed me an electronic pad to sign. Later, I asked the amount and she would not give it to me, but told me to check my email. One of the most disappointing furniture shopping experiences! There was a gentleman sitting at the door on his phone. He looked up and barely acknowledged. We looked for more than an hour. Several sales associates walked by on their phones and not a single person asked if they could help or answer questions. We are in search for a whole house of furniture. Did they miss out! .Very poor customer service.

The only furniture store that facilitates haul away of your old furniture. While most stores provide white glove delivery service for a price, the customer is left go his own devices to dispose of old and often heavy furniture.

Purchased a couch, when it was delivered rather than bring it thru sliders, they shoved it thru front door causing damage to door frame, their own couch and an antique vase! Customer service is only reachable by email, they respond every few weeks but if you miss their call you have to wait until they decide to call you back. They did replace the damaged couch and sent someone to fix door but demanded a receipt for a 100 year old vase. Offered a few $100 for vase or go to court. Would not refund delivery charge. Then sent gift card to be used in 45 days! It took longer to talk to someone!! Used card but will not return and suggest no one has them DELIVER! Note: sent message to owner who said his team will reach out. Got a call from manager and stated it was settled???

Horrible customer service. Incompetence. I bought a SIX PIECE DUVET SET nearly two weeks ago. $300+. The salesperson first borderline stalked me throughout the store as I shopped. I was then told that the delivery for this set would be THE NEXT DAY. Two weeks later, I find out one other item I ordered was marked as picked up at the warehouse and then today the delivery team brings me the duvet and the other 5 pieces are missing. When they called customer service, the agent condescendingly says to me “the other pieces must be in the package” after I opened the duvet, pulled it out, shook it to show the two delivery guys that there is NOTHING else in the package - a tiny package I might add, not Marge enough for 6 king size pieces of a bedroom set. Then without any apology, the customer service rep says “well she can deny the delivery”…. Your customer service is abhorrent. The sales team is not focused on the customer experience but on their commission - clearly bc why else would I be followed throughout the store?! Your customer service team doesn’t care about the customer experience as is evident by the way this woman condescendingly dismissed my feelings over this entire experience. The ONLY people who had any empathy were the two delivery guys. Get it together Ashley Boca.

Beware of the delivery policy. I had an option of free delivery to my address or premium delivery for a few hundred dollars which meant the driver would put the furniture together. I opted to have free delivery as I could put the furniture together by myself. When the delivery driver got to my condo building he stated that he cannot bring the furniture pieces up to my condo. Granted I live on the 3rd floor with an elevator. He stated he can only bring the pieces to the lobby and/or elevator and not inside my unit leaving me to manhandle the furniture up the elevator to my unit by myself. Just be aware what they mean by free delivery

The sales person was great, but I had problems with my delivery and there has been no follow up by them. They gouged my headboard hitting a flood light with it and my footboard had a crack in the wood. Not sure if the crack happened while they were assembling or if it was that way from the factory. They sent a repair person out to fix both of those items, being as I did not want to have to send the furniture back and get it replaced because I needed the room set up for a guest. However, my bigger issue was that I had a really nice Beautyrest latex foam mattress also delivered at the same time. It was heavy and because it is a “plyable” mattress I assume because it is foam versus spring. When the truck pulled up, the first thing they did was roll the mattress out of it onto the parking lot. They did not carry it off the truck, they just pushed it out. Then they decided it was too heavy for the three of them to carry so they rolled it in like a ball up my steps and into my condo. Hitting railings and mistreating it horribly. It has carry handles on the side but they did not use them, instead pushing and rolling it up the stairwell. It was very poorly treated and I paid a lot of money for the mattress. I did call the store now several times to see if there was anything they were willing to do about it, either monetarily or something else and they say they’ll look into it and they just don’t ever call me back. The last time I called, I asked for the store manager. They told me he was busy and then I needed to leave a message with my sales person because he would talk to her first anyway. So I left a message with her again, but she was the one who hadn’t gotten back to me with a resolution all the other times I called. This time she didn’t even call back nor did the store manager. So this is the first time I’ve ever bought furniture from Ashley furniture, it will now also be the last. It doesn’t matter how good your sales person is if no one follows up if there ends up being a It doesn’t matter how good your sales person is if no one follows up if there ends up being an issue on the delivery end. They were very rushed and hurried and careless. There really is no excuse for that or not getting back with a resolution.
