My experience purchasing the living room set, coffee table, and area rug was easy and enjoyable. I have searched around at multiple furniture stores for quotes while for the right couch and living room set. However, when the sales representative helped me out, she guided me to the perfect couch right away.

Quick to try and find what I was looking for. I went in looking for a dresser and bought a couch instead.

I have been shopping at City Furniture since it was Waterbed City, this time I decided to try Ashley in Oakland Park. I purchased a sectional from Angela Collins who went above and beyond. She listened to my needs and did not try to pressure me into more than I needed. She also advised me that the Tempur-pedic mattress I purchased 8 months before at City Furniture needed breaking in when I explained how much it was hurting my back . The salesperson I purchased it from never explained this was necessary. I was ready to give up on the mattress and adjustable frame as it was so uncomfortable. I walked on the mattress the way Angela said to and now, it feels amazing. When I need new furniture (I am always changing my decor) I hope Angela will still be there to assist. I highly recommend you ask for her the next time you visit Ashlet, Oakland Park.

There’s not enough good things I can say about this store. I walked in yesterday to get a couch asap. After telling Ronnie what I wanted he walked me directly to the couch I ended up buying. Him and the manager checked different colors for me but I ended up buying what was available and they worked hard to get it shipped to me the next day. After it was delivered Ronnie called to make sure everything went well. Wow talk about customer service! I don’t need any more furniture but if I did I definitely will be headed back here.

We purchased sofa sectional from Ashley DBA City Furniture in June 2025, and me and my wife are extremely disappointed with its quality and condition. The issues I have encountered include sagging cushions, defective ottoman, different color fabrics etc. This purchase has been a frustrating experience, for me and my wife. Several calls to customer service and email with no resolution done. We would like a different product and dont mind paying additional money to get sofas we are going to be happy with. Customer service is horrible and warranty is trash and no one returns calls in a timely matter. Dont buy here or city furniture. Never had issues with El Dorado furniture.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the purchase and delivery of a mattress and bed frame from your store. This experience has been unacceptable from start to finish. I paid in cash, only to discover that a $1,611.86 service/warranty fee and a $422 delivery fee were added without my consent. When confronted, the manager attempted to justify the charges; only after a heated dispute were they refunded. The delivery process was also unacceptable. The first attempt—was rejected by my building due to its late arrival. On April 22, the mattress arrived torn, and the headboard was scratched. After nearly an hour on the phone, customer service suggested I stitch the mattress—an absurd solution. The headboard was eventually repaired, but the result was subpar. Once assembled, the bed (mattress, foundation boxes, and frame) stood nearly five feet high—requiring a ladder to access and posing a danger to my small child. The sales rep acknowledged the issue, saying, “I know you invested a lot financially and emotionally and deserve a smoother experience,” yet provided no solution. Multiple delivery attempts for incomplete sofa parts were also rejected. A partial refund was issued, but the promised $422 delivery fee remains unpaid. Due to the unresolved height issue and your refusal to retrieve the items, we had to remove the foundation legs, which caused floor damage from exposed staples. Changing the sheets is nearly impossible due to the weight and misalignment of the mattress. I was told I had a six-month exchange window. However, a building fire eliminated elevator access, forcing us to relocate temporarily. When I returned and requested an exchange, I was told it was “too late,” despite explaining these extenuating circumstances. This experience has been marked by hidden fees, poor service, and damaged goods. I demand immediate resolution, including a refund or suitable mattress exchange and compensation for the floor damage.

Peta-gaye Forbes was unfortunately my sales representative. She didn’t want to be bothered from the start, I asked for another sales representative because she was on the phone and I was told she would be a few minutes which ended up being about 20 minutes. She didn’t handle my paperwork correctly which caused unnecessary problems. She’s rude and incompetent. The delivery driver was rude and late . I finally got my order delivered after speaking with the manager Miguel . I had plans on buying more furniture from the store but decided it’s best to spend my money where I’m respected. Avoid this place if you are American the discrimination is very open. If I could give zero stars I would have. Thank you for your rudeness and horrible customer service. The next furniture store I go to will also thank you because I don’t window shop when I walk in the store I’m there to spend money!!!

Misleading Info and a Credit Mess This is my second purchase from Ashley—and unbelievably, both times I was told the wrong first payment date. The first time, I trusted the sales associate, paid everything on time (or so I thought), only to find out I missed the last month and was slapped with a fee. I felt completely blindsided. The second time? Same mistake again. Luckily, I double-checked with the bank before it cost me more. But here’s where it gets even more frustrating: I already had an Ashley credit card with enough credit—but instead of using it, they opened a whole new account under City Furniture without telling me. I had no idea I wasn’t even technically buying from Ashley. To make things worse, the manager wrote down the wrong account number, and it took multiple frustrating calls to figure out what was going on. They also heavily push a “service guarantee”—you pay $100 for coverage, and if you don’t use it, they promise to “give it back.” What they don’t tell you is that the refund isn’t real money—it’s store credit that can only be used at Ashley, and it expires quickly if you don’t use it. The lack of transparency is shocking. Customers deserve clear, honest information—not surprises that could damage your finances.

I initially called to inquire about modular sectionals, and he patiently listed several options while I looked them up on the website. He encouraged me to visit the store to see them in person, and even though he was leaving for the day, he made sure his manager would assist me when I arrived. When I visited, I looked at the couch I had in mind but didn’t love it. Instead, I fell in love with the Elissa Court sectional. Unfortunately, I was told it was on backorder and wouldn’t be available until the end of the month. Later, while chatting with a friend, I found out she had just purchased the same couch from the Sawgrass location and had it delivered the next day. I called Jean-Paul to ask about it, and to my surprise, he called me back shortly after to let me know the backordered piece was now in stock—and that I could have my new couch this upcoming week! Although I live nearby, it was pouring rain, and I didn’t want to take my 4-year-old out in the bad weather. Jean-Paul kindly offered to handle everything over the phone. He was honest, attentive, personable, and respectful throughout the entire process. When I told him I was hesitant about making the purchase due to the wait time, he never pressured me or tried to upsell—he just genuinely wanted to help. Thank you, Jean-Paul, for making this such a smooth and positive experience!

I live in West Palm and there is an Ashley furniture near my house but I would rather drive the extra 50 minutes to do business with JP and Santi again. I needed a bed fast and they were able to help me with the type I needed and see if it was in stock and could be delivered too! Coming from out of town and my mother-in-law wanted to help with the move. I didn’t realize she wouldn’t have a bed to sleep, this helped me tremendously!! Thanks Again 🥰

Delivery stripped bolts in the bed they brought me leaving a big gap ... then gave a credit on it which was fine, but would not honor it when I returned to use it ... still needing a lot of furniture for my Florida condo but will not be going back.

I had to put one star because there isn’t an option for minus 100. It’s been four days and still no contact has been made to me regarding the Horrific Sales, Poor Delivery, Disgusting Customer Service, Extortion and now we can add ZERO Follow Up to the list. After going to the store and calling another two times, I was told a manager would call me… Still Nothing. Even after reaching out to Andrew Koenig and being told, someone from his team will be looking into the issue and getting back with us, nothing. I guess all of the postings on LinkedIn, are just that, postings without any depth. Ashley’s Furniture / City Furniture are not the only game in town. However, they should be ashamed of themselves for treating a customer for over 25 years in the manner they have. Spend your money elsewhere and get the truth from the sales people instead of them just seeing you as a dollar sign when you walk in the door. Most of all, make sure you are treated as a person and not just a “Drop Off”. Think twice!!! If you wish to make it right or do the right, you can compensate me for my time that I took off from work, gas expense back & forth, empty phone calls and the unneeded aggravation, but most of all, the disrespect!!! Don’t send me any more bogus emails offering your condolences. They mean nothing. Tomorrow the BBB to discuss the Extortion. Until you have an offer of compensation regarding the service you claim to aim for, regarding disrespect, wasted time and plain decency, do not contact me again.

Horrible experience. Paid for the “premium delivery” for a bed frame, 2 nightstands, and dresser/mirror set. Floors and walls were all damaged on the transport to my bedroom. Vinyl floors were cracked, walls were dented and frame and night stand came with dents on corners. The mirror was delivered late, and the driver even asked if I can come pick it up from the truck even though I paid for premium delivery. I opened a case immediately, but it has been two weeks since I opened the case and no follow up to have someone inspect the damages. I keep getting told I will get a call in 24-48 hours… so now I am forced to consider legal action

Sales staff is knowledgeable and informative without having to ask! I had to leave and come back 3 times in one day for personal reasons and my sales associate was very patient! She also suggested putting a deposit down on an item not in stock to take advantage of a promotion ending that day which saved me $440. Furniture is well made and reasonable. I bought a beautiful bedroom set, a power sectional and the coolest lighted tv stand with a fake fireplace like the one I have in my rv. Can’t wait for delivery!!

My sale person was JP\n I purchased a bed frame.\n JP explained everything that came through with it bed frame.\n Things get broken. Stain or whatever? And a few other things, so I said, okay, so the price was 400 and some dollars for 35, so when I got home, I looked at the invoice. And it was 39 dolsave so I called up and asked about that and it was for anything that was damaged to the sofa or what not so I said. Well I don't want that I don't need that so. JP said well, we gave you your $25 discount, and she gave it to you. Because you were taking the $39. So I said, well, I'd appreciate you taking that $39 off. Because I don't want that. And she said okay. I will talk to my manager and get back. To you never heard back from her very disappointed.

She walked me around the whole store and pointed out what couches matched my measurements (they were rather small and specific). We explored different mattresses and found the perfect one. I had a great experience in-store with Danny, but my delivery and the process of filing a damage claim was beyond frustrating. I paid extra for “premium delivery,” only to receive a bed with damage upon arrival. When the delivery team showed up, I noticed the bed was already unwrapped as it was being taken off the truck. When I asked why, the driver said, “It’s easier for us.” As the bed was loaded into the elevator, I noticed four visible areas of damage. The drivers offered to take it back or suggested I file a claim. I chose to file the claim to avoid further delays. The claims process has been horrendous. Calls are outsourced, and the representatives read from a script, no matter what you ask. I was issued a $100 credit to my card, as I didn’t want a gift card to spend more money in-store after this horrible experience or deal with more inconvenience of having someone coming to my home to “fix” the damages. When I requested to speak to a manager, one got on the phone, sounding half-asleep, only to repeat the same scripted responses. In the end, I paid extra for “premium delivery,” received a damaged bed that makes weird noises, and is already showing signs of wear and it’s only been about two weeks since I have had the bed.

I was greeted right away, sales gentleman was helpful, personable, knowledgeable. Delivery was right on time and delivery mentioned very precise with setting up. Very happy with the service I received

Horrible and dangerous for my health. I order the bed that’s looks very nice in the store, bring in my home and the bed smells toxic, very bad that I was sick and got to the hospital ,after Talking to the manager that make a appointment to come the professional person to check .The person check and give a report that’s the fabric headband was toxic and did the atmosphere that you can not breathe even I had open the window all the time. We call the store and they did not want to give the money back, they didn’t wanted to get back the bed . After a lot hours in the phone they decided to come and take back the bed, to return the money back. do you now why? because was so dangerous for the health, the toxic product can kill everyone who is in the room.In another situation you never get the money back.

Ashelys did end up taking the couch section and allowing me to get a table with the amount. But im still not fully satisfied because of the time I had to put on to get it resolved. Just read your fine print and be cautious obviously there first priority is buisness not customer service. I appreciate the gesture so im updating my stars. Horrible ...do not go our purchase!!! I got my delivery in 2 section when I get the second half my sectional didn't fit. I tried to CALL TO return an unused section of the sectional and told I was unable to. Asked for manager and was told Sanika Golden was not available for calls. I said till when and the representative Cristian didn't know I asked to be placed on hold to wait. I don't suggest purchasing anything from here. They have a no return policy even though the website says different. They will not work with you and they are not helpful. Take you business else where!!

I am only giving 3 stars due to delivery. My sales agent PETA was great and apologize if this reflects her score. My delivery was suppose to take place between 3-6 . I received a phone call and text message at 415 stating crew will be arriving in 15 min. It is currently 610no one has showed or responded back to my messages as for an update. I guess this what you get for paying Premium delivery of $292.00 Update 10/17 After 2 additional deliveries. I finally received my all furniture. On the second delivery , driver left garbage in my elevator. Called City/Ashley furniture to get refund of Premium delivery service of 292.00. Aske to speak to supervisor today after 35 min Lesste tells me supervisor is not available and I can receive a call back with in 24 hours. I told this was joke. Current still on hold after 43 min still no supervisor. Forgot to mention I was to get a call back fro 2 different store manages. Still waiting on a call from both of them.

Sebastian was the freaking best I have been looking for a couch for weeks and he was so pleasurable and so relax provided all info he listened to what I wanted and did everything he could find me what I wanted and not pushy at all just really seemed like he cared to help me get exactly what I wanted and that’s very rare in these types of situation with sales reps that are normal pushy and make you uncomfortable I felt comfortable to tell him what I could afford and could not and I felt he wanted more information from me with all his questions to make sure I get what I want instead of trying to use that info to sell me. He built Rapport on accident and we were having such a great time finding me my dream couch I found it and I bought it and I will go back to him for the rest of my furniture I highly suggest when you go to ask for Sebastian and if he is busy wait for him you will not regret AMAZING experience 1000 stars!!!! It took us a week to make a decision, and during that time, he was always present and attentive to any needs we had. He is an excellent employee! I received my sofa this weekend in perfect condition. The delivery process was also super convenient and organized.

Very poor quality furniture for the price. Don’t let the delivery and installation guys rush out, look over everything. They definitely are going to make a mistake and there will be a defect or damage in your new cheap furniture. If you do not mention it then, you have no claim to anything. They will say you should have got the protection plan, which is a huge rip-off, and it doesn’t really cover anything. The sales team was great though, they are the only reason i gave 2 stars.

It’s been a minute since Ive gone into a store to even look, let alone buy furniture. I expected to take a look around and then buy the item online myself when it fit my schedule. I anticipated being swarmed by sales associates and so I was armed with my “I just want to look around” answer but all my preparation did no good because I didnt need to use it. Not only is the showroom well put together and welcoming, the “sales” team was even better. The store manager came over and introduced himself, shook my hand, and told me what I should be expecting from his team - No one followed me around waiting to be called on (unless I wanted them to) which was a breath of fresh air and instead I had someone who was assigned to me to nake sure I was good - Mikayla! Mikayla is amazing. Not only is her positivity infectious, she anticipates your question and seems to always be a step ahead so that before you even know what your next question is, she answers it and has examples and alternate options ready to show you. She listens to what you want/ need, shes real with you when it comes down to something working or not, she gives you options, not obstacles, and shes fun to even be around. She made shopping for a sofa, dare I say, fun! From my entrance, to my exit and to my purchase being delivered next Saturday, the Ashley Team made this easy and exciting. I am excited about a couch…! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! This is not an Ashley Furniture store. This is City Furniture who bought Ashley locations in South Florida. They use the Ashley name to sell their cheaply made furniture with a no refund policy that is not mentioned until you receive delivery. Delivery company was awful and unprofessional. Exchange process was just as frustrating as they scheduled it several times and blamed “system errors” when you wait around ALL day and no one arrives. If I could give zero stars I would so they don’t get credit for a 1 star review. I have purchased many times from Ashely Furniture in the past and have never had any of these issues and it’s a shame City Furniture is being allowed to ruin their reputation by using their name. SALES PEOPLE ARE LIARS AS WELL!! Don’t buy from City Furniture or the Ashley stores they have purchased.

Weather the sales manager and a new sales person in training helped me. They were both delightful to work with. They made it fun to spend my money. I would’ve rated this a five star, but for one exception. The corporate policy for placing a special order is lengthy and complicated. No reflection upon the store personnel, but the corporate entities that be really need to re-examine their policy and make it an easier and speedier process for both the customer and personnel.

I wish I could give Ashley Furniture Store and City Furniture Delivery service 0 stars. First, when we’re in the store we looked at many bedroom sets. Our salesperson was very attentive and listened to our needs. We were only interested in bedroom sets we could get delivered completely. We picked out 2 sets that were to be delivered on Tuesday. Sounded great as we were sleeping on air mattresses. As it turned out, on Tuesday the delivery guy called to make sure I knew both bedrooms were incomplete. It turns out our bed would not have a frame until October 😭 and the other bedroom set was missing both night stands and the chest of drawers until August. (It’s the middle of June.) I refused delivery until I could talk to my salesperson. Of course, Ashley blamed the mix up on a “computer glitch”. They offered a loaner frame to use until October and a $200 credit for our trouble. In the end, we decided to take delivery with the understanding that Ashley would take back the furniture if all the pieces were not delivered as promised with a full refund. Well when the delivery got to the house not only was the bed frame missing but also the headboard. So the footboard and box springs were placed in a tiny one car garage. As the rest of the furniture was being taken to the bedrooms, the delivery men left black marks and sweat stains all over the white walls. We will have to repaint the walls. 😩. As it turns out, we were given a queen box springs for our king size mattress. Supposedly sometime today, I am supposed to be getting the correct box spring. My whole experience with Ashley was a disaster. If you are thinking about buying furniture from them…go somewhere else! You will get empty promises and your walls all messed up. I would never recommend this business to anyone!

The store is well organized, clean and the entire staff is very friendly. This is my second experience at this store and I will come back again.

I called the Ft Lauderdale location about my unused warranty/protection plan for a previous purchase. When you have an unused warranty/protection plan, that amount will be returned to you as a store credit. So I spoke to Santiago, the store manager, after looking up my account, told me I can come in to use my credit. When I arrived at the store Santi went back into my account and said he made a mistake over the phone and it was expired, but he’ll honor it because of our conversation. I appreciated it but didn’t find a piece of furniture I like to purchase so I chose a memory foam pillow. But then Santi sat me down and said he apologize but can’t honor it because the code isn’t appearing on his device, which sounded instantly convenient. I was very disappointed, he told me false information to get me into the store and when I didn’t buy something worth his commission he made an excuse to get rid of me. I realized how in store furniture shopping isn’t the same anymore. I decided to shop online for what I was looking for, though it’s not a new concept but it’s definitely one that going to eventually put more storefront out of business because they still operate with their old salesman techniques.

The guy with the light yellow shirt I forgot his name, he was very nice and welcoming also and on my way out even the other people(sales persons) they all said thanks for doing business with them.
