Deb Erwin sales rep spent hours with my partner and I discussing furniture options for a new house we bought. She made us feel very comfortable. We left that afternoon, and told her we’d be back the next day. After measuring all the rooms we returned and purchased the furniture. Great sales rep. No pressure.

Let me start of with the positive: Our first purchase with our sales person Oscar was great so I went back 5 months later to make another purchase totaling about $8000.00. I purchased a dining room set along with a desk first and then I purchased a bedroom set. Now for the negative: Both deliveries were rushed followed by a phone call from a supervisor asking about the delivery and explaining that I had 24 hours to notify of any issues. At the 2nd delivery I actually tried to contact the delivery person minutes after he left. Needless to say, I got the runaround after getting in touch with someone at the store about the damages I noticed with my furniture. I had to wait almost 3 weeks to have someone come out and inspect things I noticed. The man could barely walk and he seemed overwhelmed with his job. He did a touch up on my new furniture. I actually wrote it off as a lesson learned experience but after only owning this new furniture I felt like I needed to speak up because excitement of a new purchase was quickly soured by the quality that we received. My wife and I are empty nesters so the fact that this furniture does not get any busy towards it. This is completely unacceptable that it is chipping and falling apart after barely 6 months of use. Calls to the store seem to make you feel like you are over reacting and getting blamed for not purchasing the warranty. With that being said I want to warn people who make a purchase to DO NOT let the delivery person leave until you fully inspect your purchase with a good eye. This store review site seems to have many positive reviews but if you go to other sites you can review problem reviews, something I wished I would have done before my purchase.

Very nice selection. Some of the pricing is very high and the fee to have them help you build any item is very high and unreasonable. Overall we were happy with the selection and customer service was nice.

Upon entering City/Ashley Furniture in Fort Myers, my sister and I were greeted by a lovely young lady by the name of Leah! She was friendly and cheerful with a genuine smile. She Informed us of the sales going on throughout the store and gave us her card and said if we had any questions to call or text her, which we thought was a great idea and refreshing! No stalking! I have had eight homes throughout the United States over the years, so I am no stranger to Furniture shopping! The quality of the furniture there had improved from the last time I had been there. This was by far, the best experience I have ever had. We found and purchased our furniture through Leah and I will be returning to work with her for my future needs! Was shopping for a power recliner as I have shoulder surgery coming up and will need to sleep in a safe position without my pets getting in the way for recovery. Overall the experience we had was positive since we found what we wanted, but we weren't the happiest with the gentleman who helped us, Jorge. He seemed confused, distracted, was on his phone a lot, and really wasn't attentive. We found what we wanted and ended up purchasing it the same day for same day pickup but wish we had a different sales person.

My wife and I recently moved to Fort Myers from Wisconsin. Our decision to move with little to no furniture made a trip to Ashley City Furniture our top priority. Lauren was our sales representative who made the process of searching for Living room, dining room and bedroom furniture fun and easy. Her knowledge and experience made the process quick and easy. This location has a large selection to choose from and we will not hesitate to return.

Smooth purchase! Had a store certificate for a warranty we never used. Found an item I liked on-line. Used the Chat feature and had an actual conversation with a wonderful agent. She was unable to complete my purchase since it had to be done through the store with the credit. Called the store and was able to successfully purchase the item without having to drive an hour to the location. The salesman also directed me to a similar item that was by the same brand so I had options. Thank you Tony and Alandra S for a wonderful shopping experience!

I traveled a long distance to get to this store to check out a couch and they were closed at least 12 minutes before their 9 PM post closing time. I knocked on the door and the sales people refused to open it for me. I just needed five minutes. Kind of unprofessional.

I called in to check if my local store (Fort Myers) had a specific bed which is out of stock online and marked as clearance. I was so excited when the salesman who was very sweet and nice told me that they did in fact have 2 in store. The issue is that online since it is an out of stock clearance item it is on sale for 1099 but they won’t honor that price in the store. I have to pay 1400 which doesn’t make any sense to me if the item is on clearance I should be able to get the same price as advertised online. But no, all they can do was $50 off coupon which is a joke.

Our sales associate Kelsey Simmonds was very pleasant, Friendly and professional.

My husband and I visited the Fort Myers city furniture location on Sunday. We were greeted by Randi. She did a fantastic job offering to show us around or to leave us on our own. It would check back periodically with us as we viewed the entire showroom. I liked the no pressure approach. Any time we had questions we could easily reach her and she would show up in a moments notice. We will definitely take a closer look at all the items we loved once our new build is completed. The store is fabulous. We highly recommend it and Randi too.

Mark Mitchell helped us pick out a sectional and bedroom furniture. He was patient, answered our questions and was knowledgeable about the process.

A good variety of the type of furniture I was looking for. My associate was very helpful.

Horrific! We came in to buy a top grain leather couch and loveseat. I picked three out online and saved it to their website to make it easier. I asked for a leather specialist when we entered. I showed him the pictures and notes I had made about the type of leather we wanted and why. As we were looking at them, my husband noticed a set that really caught his eye. While we were sitting in them I said to the salesperson, “Are these also top grain leather?” He said, yes they are. This whole area is. He told us about all of the features. We decided to buy this set along with a rug and lamps. I asked the salesman if we were going to receive a conditioning kit for the leather and he said, that they don’t have those, unfortunately. I asked if I could use any good brand to clean and condition the leather and he said yes. We were so happy with our purchase. Only to find out when we get home and receive their emails about the financing, products, and delivery info, that it is “FAUX LEATHER!” We almost lost it. I was more than clear on what we were looking for. We called the store only to be told everyone was busy including all of the managers and they would call me back ASAP. I called again after 3 hours and was given the runaround again. The third time, later that night, I spoke to a manager who tried to “handle me.” He didn’t apologize for the mistake or even talk to the salesperson to find out what on Earth went wrong. All he did was agree to cancel our order. I said to him, I can’t believe you aren’t doing anything at all to make us feel any better. He said, well you are more than welcome to come back in to shop. Geez, thanks a lot! I asked for a Corporate phone number and he said there isn’t one. Don’t shop here!

Rafael helped us find the perfect dining table and even a nicely made king size bed. He's very patient and listens to what you want so shopping is enjoyable. There's a large selection between City Furniture and Ashley's so you can find lots of nice items at an affordable price.

Once upon a humid Saturday morning, we wandered into Ashley/City Furniture in search of a new sectional. Just a casual browse. Enter Denise. Denise, it turns out, had always dreamed of being a ninja. You could tell by her silent footsteps and uncanny ability to vanish and reappear just when we least expected. Unfortunately, Denise is no ninja. Not even close. Every step we took, she mirrored. Every sectional we paused at, she observed with the intensity of a Japanese Sparrowhawk. When we turned around suddenly, she'd pretend to study a nearby lamp with Oscarworthy overacting. I think at one point I caught a glimpse of her rolling across a lovely patterned rug straight behind an electric fireplace. It quickly turned from amusing to uncomfortable. Despite politely stating we were "just looking" multiple times, Denise continued her not so stealthy surveillance mission. She weaved through the coffee tables like a crouching tiger with two left feet, she was for sure no hidden dragon. Her version of customer service felt more like being tailed in a spy movie except less Bond, more awkward middle school play. We didn’t stick around long, as I feared that she would resort to using store credit cards as shuriken, I rushed my family to safety. It’s hard to appreciate elegant upholstery when you're being stalked, not by a ninja, but by the curse of commission based sales. Sadly, we never got to see the full selection, ninja Denise made sure of that. 2 stars—one for the selection of furniture, one for effort. Stealth… needs work.

Our experience purchasing furniture for the new home we were purchasing seemed to go smoothly until we put a partial down payment on our order. We were charged the full amount of the order. Plus the downpayment! We were told the correction would clear that day. It didnt. We needed the funds for inspections and appraisals that day. Even contacting the store manager didnt help. He actually seemed not to care at all. We were charged extra for late payments due to their errors. And offered no apologies in return.

This was a seamless purchase.. The sales person brought us to the items we were looking for. She helpful in offering choices. Our checkout process was quick and thorough. We had a great experience.

Quick delivery, great service

My wife and I went in to look at a new bed. 2 employees were sitting at the front desk to worried about what was going on with their phones. We walked around the entire store and saw no one. As we walked out they did say bye but still did t look up. Lost our business and won’t be back.

What I went for I got. It took me a while because there were so many choices. I had a very patient and helpful salesman, Oscar. He knows the merchandise well and was able to answer all my questions and also make some good suggestions.

We walked into the City Furniture which is connected to Ashley Furniture. The girl, DJ pointed to where we could find recliners and she said there were some on the Ashley side too. If we found something we liked we could text her. Once we found the chairs we wanted we texted her but was on break and didn't answer. My husband and I were moving from New Jersey to Cape Coral. We saw furniture at our local store that we liked. I called Ashley in Fort Myers and spoke with Randi. We gave her all the numbers of the furniture that we wanted. She said it would take about 2 weeks to get. I expressed how overwhelming it is to move and purchase furniture. She said she would make it a very pleasant experience.....well, it was not! Delivery was scheduled for 3/18. The day before I receive a text message saying our dining room furniture was not going to be delivered and my sales representative would be in touch. I called her twice that day and she never responded. Called again the next day and I missed her call. So I texted her to find out when the dining room furniture was coming. She said she had to check with the management team for an answer. In the interim our bedroom furniture was to be delivered between 2-5 pm. When she finally got back to me, she said the furniture would be in on April 1st. The delivery of our bedroom furniture still hasn't arrived and it's now 5:30. I received a call from the driver at 4:30 saying he would be over within an hour. Well, that never happened. When I called again, I was told our delivery was canceled. I reach out to Randi again to find out if the dining room furniture can come in sooner and told her our delivery was canceled. They said they couldn't get into our gated community. This has not been a positive experience at all! We went to a local furniture store looking for living room furniture and it was delivered the next day. It's amazing that Lowe's, Mattress Firm and FOS furniture had no problem getting into our community but your company did? Hmm. We canceled our entire order and will never do business with your company. Completely disappointed and Randi never called to apologize to me......I guess you don't need our business! Our Ashley store in New Jersey has much better customer service.

Updating my review since issues were resolved* I notified Ashley Furniture within 24 hours of shipment delivery. There was damage to one of the items delivered and Ashley Furniture set up a repair date two weeks away. The date came and it was a No Call No Show. Attempted a second time and same thing No Call No Show. The third attempt only took place after leaving a negative review. I then found out from the Social Media Department at Ashley Furniture whom reached out to me over the negative review, that they actually don't have anyone that services my address, so that explains all the No Call No Shows. Ashley Furniture store ended up agreeing to an credit amount to my bank account, over repairing the furniture. This of course causes me more concern since I purchased the extended warranty for the furniture.

Phill had great, great excellent customer service, very knowledgeable, very, very helpful, very friendly, and Accommodating and patient with me. Excellent all around service in every category.

He got right into figuring out what I want and how to work with my price range, showed me all great options and let me really figure out what I wanted. He walked me through the purchase process with my mother on the phone and made us both feel like we were being taken care of. My husband and I had a positive experience with our purchase at Ashley Furniture today. We were interested in a recliner. The floor display was in one color and the salesman, Tyler Lackey who assisted us brought up the other color on his tablet which we liked. We were told the chair would be delivered boxed with minimal assembly by us. My husband asked Tyler if he could disassemble the floor model and reassemble it to see how easy or difficult it would be. Tyler allowed my husband to do this which reassured us of the ease of assembly. In closing, I would like to say that my husband and I were impressed with Tyler's willingness to make sure we would be happy with our purchase.

This past Saturday I went to this store looking for a bedroom set, and a dining set. I looked for quite a while, and was never approached by a single employee offering assistance. There were many around, but mostly chattering amongst themselves, or sitting in furniture playing with their phones. I went home and ordered the grey caitbrookcounter height table and chairs. I didnt get a discount, it was not on clearance…I paid full price. It showed up today, Wednesday January 29, 2025. I carried all three boxes up the apartment stairs. The boxes looked trashed, not a single square corner left, and tape everywhere. I opened the chairs first, and they were surprisingly ok. One had a chip, but I could fix it, or live with it. 3 hours of assembly, and on to the table. It was damaged, the hardware was already cut opened and taped up like a child fixed a mistake, and the directions were missing. I finally got a place after moving away from Ohio, and a toxic train disaster, and have been furnishing my place as I’ve had the money to do so, and these people sent me a returned item, like I’m trash. Te customer service told me they could offer me 5% back if I just kept it “as is” I said no, and they disconnected. I’ll update my review after they open, and I try again. As of now, I’d tell anyone to shop somewhere else. I’m pretty sure we all know that this is not the top of the line expensive furniture, and I can deal with that. I won’t deal with low quality people. This is blatant theft.

On arrival, I was greeted by friendly sales associates who enquired about the purpose of our visit. They then pointed us in the right direction and allowed us to view and test the furniture at our leisure. Not once did we feel pressurized to buy anything, yet Tony was always around to answer questions.

Honestly I love the product I choose, and hopefully it will last a good amount of time, so I don’t have to go through Their Customer Service or Sale Agent again, because they obviously don’t care once the sale is made, I’ve been waiting since November 2024 for my Bed to be fully delivered, and every time they come there is one piece that is not available, while at the time of purchase the Agent told me that they had all pieces in stock ( lies) , when You contact the sale agent , they won’t pick up, nor calling back even if you left a VM, they rescheduled my delivery without letting me know, not even a call, and when I called on the day I was supposed to received the items, that’s when the Agent told me maybe the item was not available again that’s why they rescheduled you. like come on, Communication please work on that, thank you!!!

Bought items on Ashley Credit through Synchrony bank. We were told by the sales person we would not have to make a payment until all items were delivered. 3 items were on back order for 3 months. We immediately got a notice to make a payment, and tried to contact Synchrony bank. We called Ashley, and they stated they would extend the first payment until delivery. This was a blindside since we were already told we wouldn't have to make a payment until all items were delivered. We called Synchrony bank again to confirm, and the representative was very condesending and rude hiding behind a phrase of its in your "terms and conditions". When we finally received all of our items, we received a statement to make a payment. The payment was made and we had a confirmation. We then got another notice stating that the payment was still due. When I called, another rep with the same condensending attitude kept referring to "terms and conditions", when I asked "where" in the terms, he just kept repeating himself. I finally got a supervisor on the phone, and he stated we missed a number in the online payment. I asked him to prove it, and send me the transaction details. Of course he stated he couldn't and hid behind "company policy". This company and credit program is a scam and a joke. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY. Update: Ashley called me just now to take down my review and offered "something" you can do. I asked sure, give me my $30 back they charged for an NSF fee with which they sent a confirmation that they received the funds. Also, fix the repairs I have already posted. Ashley's sub contracted handyman only fixed one out of the three.

I shopped online for the dining table look that I was looking for and ended up on the Ashley’s Furniture website. I went to the Ashley store near me, it was my first time in. Kelsey was amazing from my first step into the store, he greeted me with a smile and listened to what I was looking for. He took me to the dining tables that fit my description and within a few minutes, I was ordering my set and signing paperwork on the spot. In and out, easy peasy! Kelsey was easy to talk to and was genuinely interested in what I had to say. Customer service seems to be dying these days but not with him!

We went into Ashley Furniture not knowing that City Furniture and Ashley are one and the same. Needless to say they had a vast selection of furniture to choose from. We were looking for a two seat loveseat and kept coming back to one that caught our eye. We liked it so much that we bought the matching couch and the rug that went with the set. Our sales rep Joey Padilla, listened to what we wanted. We weren’t sure about whether getting it with the battery or with the plug in. After Joey told us how long the batteries last before needing charged, we opted for the battery packs. He also reaffirmed our decision about getting the couch which we are happy we did. Went to buy furniture because it said it had a big sale up to 25% off and free premium delivery. The sales prices were poorly marked and premium delivery was if you spent greater than $1500. I also didn’t understand that if you didn’t get premium delivery they ship the furniture in a box and you put it together. You might as well buy it on Amazon. I guess furniture stores are really not furniture stores; they are just a showcases for you to see it.

I had the pleasure of searching for the perfect bedroom set with Luis Montalvo. I ended up with 2 bedroom sets! I was very indecisive and changed my mind multiple times. We showed kindness and worked with me and this made my experience so much easier. Let’s be honest nobody wants to spend thousands on furniture and it’s very overwhelming. But Luis made it very easy for me! The whole process went way better than I could imagine. He checked on me until it got delivered and made sure I was happy with my choice. I was told the furniture was going to arrive beginning of November no later than middle of November. I decided to look at order online and some of the items are back ordered until January 2025. I’m most likely will be stopping by the store and getting my money back.

I visited the store 3 times to make my decision. Dillon was a great associate ro work with. It was great bouncing ideals off of him while getting my steps in walking the entire store. That show room was like a stadium. Great experience definitely will be coming back.

I am editing my previous review of Ashley furniture as since I purchased my furniture, it has been a complete nightmare. It has take. Three attempts at delivery and it’s still not right. I am now told that they delivered the wrong headboard and who knows how long I’ll have to wait this time. It’s been a month since I purchased and it’s still not right and no communication with Ashley or the sales rep. Once they make the sale and collect their commission they obviously don’t care for their customer however, I will never return there and I will be sure that I do not recommend this furniture store ever again. I am extremely disappointed and the longer I wait, the angrier I get. I will be contacting their corporate office and anyone else willing to listen to my complaint until it’s made right.

Tyler and his manager were very nice and helpful! Good selection of furniture. Tyler let us wander around and look at stuff at our leisure, but he would check on us and was always there if we had any questions, which was perfect!

We were greeted immediately asked how we coupd be helped, immediately. George introduced himself and directed us to what we wanted. He checked with is appopriately, and when we made our choice, quickly and efficiently completed the transaction. Great guy!

Literally the WORST company to deal with when ordering online. I ordered beige barstools. Received light gray, which is not even an option to order online. Upon receipt, immediately called customer service. Instead of the refund I asked for I was sent replacement light gray barstools. Nightmare trying to return & still no refund after a month. TERRIBLE COMPANY WITH FALSE ADVERTISING.

I went in looking for a dinette and Oscar showed me all my options plus he helped me pick out a desk and a pull out couch. Oscar went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. He was awesome.

The store has been the worst nightmare I have ever gone thru purchased 4 bedroom sets and later found out it was a bait a switch 2 of 4 bedroom set allegedly was discontinued from time of purchase to delivery date and they would not return a 3rd bedroom set was heavily damaged and they orginally stated they would have someone come to repair which I refused after words we learned not only was the one bedroom set bait and switch and discontinued but our incompetent sales person Neil failed to order side rails,and headboard after I was forced to pay another few hundred for missing pieces that incompetent Neil never ordered they arrived damaged and the fight now to get returned or replaced once again goes on DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE oh yeah forgot all the mattresses we ordered were on backorder for months so we had to cancel since the beds were worthless without mattresses BEWARE

Mark was our sales guy there and was awesome. He was patient, knowledgeable, and we could tell he was passionate about his work. Normally when we go into furniture stores it’s kinda like a car dealership, they are like sharks but not in this case. Three years ago we purchased a dining room and bedroom set along with the warranty plan. I’d highly recommend it. We used it to replace chairs. At the end of the three years we received back the unused balance in a store credit to use in City or Ashley. The manager was very helpful and extended our credit offer for us. Our salesmen Luis Montalvo was awesome assisting us with our purchases in store.

Want to thank Oscar and Ashley for the great service that we received from the Estero Store. Delivery was first class as was our experience purchasing our tempur-pedic bed set. Highly recommend buying from City Furniture.

Title: Beware: Ashley Furniture's Misleading Product and Poor Return Policy I recently purchased an item from Ashley Furniture, and I couldn't be more disappointed with both the product and the customer service I received. The item I received was not at all as described on their website or in their catalog. It was of significantly lower quality, and the color was completely off from what was advertised. Upon contacting their customer service to initiate a return, I was shocked to learn that not only would I have to pay for return shipping, but also possibly additional fees for restocking. This is completely unacceptable considering it's their mistake in misrepresenting the product in the first place. I expected better from a company like Ashley Furniture. The fact that they are unwilling to take responsibility for their error and expect the customer to foot the bill for their mistakes is utterly disappointing. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing from Ashley Furniture again and will be cautioning others to steer clear as well.

Most exhausting and taxing experience as a customer yet! Long story short. I Bought furniture. The sales person did whatever it took to get the sale. I trusted. She made a mistake. I used their finance company at 0% interest for 1 year. Their credit card company over charged me over $1500.00. The creditor would not fix the problem as they didn’t charge the credit. Most of all the store wouldn’t look into details to help! Been dealing with this problem for over 4 months since I discovered the issue. The reason it took me awhile to know is because the credit card company got bought out and the new one switched their name. Simply ridiculous! At the end of the day, City Furniture (Ashley Furniture) is responsible for this. And they blame the credit card agent that they provided. Absolutely hanging me dry. Zero sense of customer service. I have been a customer for over 14 years. Filled a condo, a house, and an apartment from them. This is my treatment when in need of help? This is their error! Shop somewhere else. Best thing you can do.

The gentleman Jason was an amazing sales person. But his supervisor was not. I gave him a paper that was sent to me in the mail for premium delivery and it was effective till 5/28/24. I went yesterday because it was very busy over the weekend and the paper stated it was valid till 5/28/24 and they did not honor it.. Very bad customer service on there end. I will be calling corporate.

I went in to Ashley with $120 rebate that was about to expire. The salesman showed me to their clearance table and I was thrilled to get quite a bit pretty much “free” . Great feeling!

This purchase was returned when it was delivered. I was told by the salesman that it would be delivered inside my front door and all I was going to have to do was put on the knobs. Totally wrong!!! Totally misleading!!!! It came in a box and required assembly!!!!! I refused the delivery and called the salesman to get my money back. The salesman couldn't offer any solution except to charge me $100 more for assembly. A total rip off. I will never purchase from Ashley or City Furniture again! . I had to add a star in order to post this but none was deserved. Rip off!!!!!!!!!

We have had to economically replace everything in our home after flooding a Mark walked us through many ideas and options. He informed us of many options and also shared some ideas.
