Be very very careful with the warranties being sold at this store and what the sellers are claming is covered. I was sold a warranty under the guise that it covered pet damages and that is not the case per the warranty company. Even though is clear in the warranty that is does cover pet damages. Any one who can read would interpret this as: Not Covered: • Damages caused by animals, including but not limited to those caused by beaks, claws, or jaws, are explicitly excluded under the “What’s Not Covered” section. However, it specifies that this exclusion does not include “damage caused by pets” Either the wording is extremely misleading or the sellers and the warranty company are doing this on purpose to sell more warranties and then not cover damages.

I would not have believed this if I wasn't there. The delivery from Ashley's was beyond horrible...and should be an embarrassment for Ashley's. The delivery men arrived about 2 hours early to drop off new mattresses for my parents who are 81 and 78. Fortunately, they were available at that time and able to accommodate this last second notice. They are not able to move the old mattresses themselves. When the old mattresses were moved off of the box springs by the 2 delivery men, my father wanted to quickly vacuum up some of the dust that had accumulated over the years between the mattress and the box spring. One of the delivery guys began to admonish my father by saying that "this should have been done before hand" and he didn't have time for this because he had other deliveries to make. My dad was caught off guard and flabbergasted by this rude and inappropriate response. He said that it would only take a minute, and the delivery guy retorted to him "Less talking and more working". Again, my father was incredulous at the anger directed at him by the Ashley's delivery person who was seemingly trying to teach my father a lesson. He then continued arguing with my father all the while delaying the install of the new mattresses. Afterwards my father said that he should have told them to take the new mattresses back. To be fair, the other delivery guy was very nice, and I'm sure embarrassed by his co-worker's behavior. I thanked him for his help. A manager from Ashley's eventually called my father with the excuse that these are contract employees. However, that does not matter when they drive up in an Ashley's truck delivering Ashley's purchased items. Ashley's owns the relationship from start to finish and their inability to fire or at the very least make this delivery person call back and apologize for his lack of decency shows a lack of concern. It's easy to use the "these are not our employees" excuse, but this is simply an attempt to pass the buck. Terrible service all around and we advise anyone to be very careful with Ashley's commitment to customer service.

My sales person, JQ, was phenomenal! I came in married to the idea of a blue sectional sofa. He gave me the space to look and do what I needed to do, which I appreciated because I don't like being crowded when I'm trying to shop. After I came to the conclusion that what I wanted wasn't in the store I sat on a sofa and began discussing my issue with JQ. The sofa I was sitting on was cream but very comfortable and attractive. JQ rearranged it as I could see it in the configuration I desired. Although it wasn't blue, JQ's patience and product knowledge really helped me break from my single minded focus and purchase the item I bought! He really is an asset to Ashley Furniture! I will definitely be back to purchase from him when I need more pieces! Thanks JQ!

DO NOT BUT THE WARRANTY!!! We paid extra for a warranty which we typically don't for this exact reason. It has been a nightmare to submit the claim. Finally they "approve" fixing the damage. The person the sent comes out today and says their work order will only fix half of the couch because the other half was denied. Its literally the same incident. Now I have a couch that half is damaged and I have to go back through resubmitting the same claim they confirmed they had already approved. I will never do business here again.

If I could give 0 stars I would… first our furniture took almost a year to be delivered. Then they brought us the wrong piece.. that has all been fixed and we have been enjoying our furniture. But now realize the salesman lied to us about the warranty. We were told all wear and Tear would be covered along with pet stains on our couch. These are not covered and the warranty company does nothing to help. We also have a wood sap that has bled through on our entertainment center and the warranty will not cover that due to manufacturer’s defect. Extremely disappointed with Ashley furniture and five star warranty. Would not recommend to anyone.

We had a great experience shopping at the Ashley River City store in Jacksonville, mostly due to the the wonderful assistance from our salesperson, Kalee H. Her approach was so different from what we had experienced at competitor's stores. She stayed with us, walked through different purchasing scenarios, was knowledgeable about the products, and how the store worked. She was always honest, and we never felt pressured. She definitely earned the sale, and Kalee kept her word on post sale follow up. The delivery was fast, the delivery techs worked carefully, neatly, and assembled everything in a manner that showed they knew what they were doing. Finally, the furniture quality was far better than we saw in other area stores. A very happy first purchase!

Definitely not coming back to the stores. The whole process is would delivery with the sales guy. Ray He was asking so professional and nice. He gave the phone number have an issue with a delivery problem with the product I call him. He never even call back. He never even answer the phone so it’s really fake to be like that. Just pretending from the customer soon as they buy the product you don’t care anymore. The whole customer service. I have to call like eight times, it was absolutely insane. I have to deal with the delivery guys. Oh my God I will never come back to the store again.

Waited two months to receive my bed frame and it was packaged with no thought whatsoever. The wood is chipped and scratched from being in the box they delivered with no packaging or foam to prevent this from happening. Poor quality and workmanship especially for having to wait this long to receive it. Highly disappointing/ would not recommend ordering from them. They want me to wait another month or two to receive a new one and will not pickup this damaged furniture. This is ridiculous I have a huge box taking up a bunch of space for another month or two while I wait.

The sales experience was good but the delivery experience was a nightmare. Took 3 months to get everything. Bought 12 items from River City Dr store for a lot of money. Had issues with delivery of few items. Would come damage or incomplete and twice brought a rectangle table that was supposed to be round. More to story, but one damaged item they claimed discontinued and couldn't replace. So we found it at a clearance center nearby and they picked and delivered. They offered no compensation for it being a clearance item, the months of delay or the fact we had to find it for them.

The sales rep Russel was wonderful, she saved me from making a bad purchase. She was very informative and showed me and my husband a lot of different options and never pressured us to purchase. She was so patient helping us configure our sectional. I was so happy that we came here.

I have been to this store twice. Each time, coincidentally, I got the same sales person. The first time, he greeted me at the door and then literally watched me as I walked around the store. It was so annoying and it made me feel uncomfortable. When I asked him questions, he wasn’t helpful at all. I was really interested in about $7,000 worth of furniture. I couldn’t buy anything at that time because I wanted to bring a floor sample for my new home. I went in today with the intent to purchase, and the same salesman not only walked around the entire store watching me to where I felt uncomfortable, my mother and I overheard him talking about us to another sales associate and calling into question if we could afford the furniture. I was so mad, I left. I went to Baers and bought much better quality furniture where I didn’t feel bullied into buying something. You lost a huge sales today due to your high pressure sales techniques - if you’re looking for furniture literally go ANYWHERE else there is so much better customer service and quality in the area!

If you value your time and want to work with good customer service, DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY’S. If you’ll see the good reviews it is about purchasing. They have good sales but then it all goes down hill. I bought a couch and dinning room set. Ashley’s changed the delivery date, without telling me annd only delivered half my order. Then I purchased a bedroom suit. Ashley’s delivered the headboard, footboard and mattress with no rails or sideboards. We had to sleep on the floor on the mattress for over a month waiting on sideboards and rails. Ashley’s did not care and advised that’s how it is. I spend over $10,000 cash and still no one cared about when I received my purchase, just that I gave them money. Please find somewhere else to get your furniture because you will be extremely dissatisfied with Ashley’s services. **UPDATE** We finally got an email saying the bed rails we have been waiting on since August 11th will be delivered. I was asked when to delivery it. I advised Mon or Tues in the morning. I get the time and date text today and it is Wednesday from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Not even close to what I asked. If you’re going to do what you want, don’t ask. I had to call and reschedule it Friday. I have been waiting for 42 days so I can stop sleeping on the floor so what’s a few more days. You get this generic response to these reviews. Ashley doesn’t care and all they say is I’m sorry for not putting the customer first, so please don’t waist your time responding, unless you intend to actually make some sort of restitution or compensation for waisting my time or you want to make your company one that actually stands by quality and service. Please buy somewhere else.

Terrible experience. I purchased a floor sample which included a six piece sectional and rug. I had requested the rug be vacuumed and the pieces wrapped in plastic wrap. When we came to the store to pick up the furniture I purchased, they told me they don’t have rolls of plastic in which to wrap the furniture nor did they vacuum the rug. I had asked Peyton several times to have the rug vacuumed. I find it really disturbing that they wanted to sell me a damage protection plan for the furniture I just bought for lots of $$$, but they have nothing there to protect it when you purchase off the floor. It seems as though they don’t care about the furniture they are selling because they simply have Nothing available to protect it when you purchase off the floor. As a matter of fact, there was another guy there that wanted to buy a piece of art. What are they going to wrap it with??? So, we had to buy a roll of plastic in which to wrap the 6 pieces with and nobody would do anything to help us wrap the furniture. I, myself have been in the furniture industry for 30 years and every place I have ever worked, always had rolls of plastic and or bubble wrap to protect items from damage. Needless to say, I will never shop at this company again. All they care about is $$$ after they get that, you’re on your own.

We had a great experience at Ashley Furniture the other day. My wife had been looking for a specific type of a recliner that was powered, but also reclined almost to a prone position. We always avoid going into a furniture store because you’re usually accosted by sale people as soon as you set a foot in the door. Well, we were pleasantly surprised at Ashely Furniture. No one jumped all over to sell us anything and we were able to walk around at our leisure looking for a recliner. We found one and I went up to a sales person who was super nice and friendly. The sales person, Zach was helpful, easy going and knowledgeable and he answered my questions very professionally but friendly. It was a great experience working with Zach and would definitely ask for him the next time we are looking for furniture at Ashely. Zach is what all sales personnel should be. No high pressure, professional, knowledgeable and friendly! The purchase process was easy and completed within minutes. Thanks for the great experience, Zach!

Although our sales experience with Marie (Jacksonville) was great, it went downhill fast from there. The $350 white glove delivery service was absolutely unacceptable. The team delivering our white sectional took zero care in keeping it clean during set up, not to mention they SLICED through the fabric when cutting off the plastic! Every piece was covered in black fingerprints and handprints. No gloves, no booties, it was careless to say the least. The lead delivery person did try cleaning the fingerprints and wiping with a paper towel but it did little good. In addition, there was a missing section that arrived a week later. We reported the bad experience to customer service and the reps were kind and helpful. John, the furniture specialist, was sent out and he was great. He spent an hour cleaning the sectional. He ordered a new arm (because it was sliced open) and ordered a new recliner mechanism (because it was bent). SIDE NOTE: The sections don't line up, they are off center, large gaps and John hopes to fix this as well) A week later the missing section was delivered by the SAME team who again took zero care in keeping it clean and while attaching the sections together, managed to get them ALL dirty again with black fingerprints and handprints. John will return to once again clean the fabric when he installs the new parts. We asked management to refund our $350 white glove delivery fee, but they refused, stating they would give us a $150 credit to buy more furniture! Why would we buy more furniture from them? Shop elsewhere for your furniture...Ashley should not benefit from your business.

Do not shop here! I went into the store and worked with Zach (Jacksonville, FL). I explained to him that we had just moved and we had no furniture so we needed things quickly. He assured me that everything I was ordering was in stock and scheduled to be delivered in 1-4 weeks. I spent over $6K with them. No one ever contacted me, so I finally reached out to Zach after several weeks. He was very rude and dismissive and told me he has nothing to do with Delivery. So I called customer service, they had no information for me. So after another week or so I call back and find out I'm scheduled for delivery, but no one decided to let me know that. I had to arrange for someone to be there since I was out of town when they scheduled without telling me. The drivers were scheduled between 12-4pm, they showed up at 9:30 pm. Although they showed up with my couch and dining room table, they had no chairs for that table. It's now been almost 8 weeks and I have not heard from Ashley and I still don't have chairs for my dining room table. I called again today and I was told they should be in the warehouse in about a week, but there is no guarantee on when they will be delivered. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

If you want to shop peacefully - Run! Prices are good and they have a good selection but holy smokes, their salespeople are so creepy and rude. My husband and I told this guy several times we dont want help and he wouldn't leave us alone and at one point was to the side of us muttering “just buyy ittt” At that point we took pictures and left to ordered it online. Whoever was wearing glasses with a black short sleeve button up at 3pm on 8/12 — Recommend teaching him some people skills so you aren't losing business.
