I was told by a salesman my furniture was on stock and could be delivered the following week. I paid and then learned after calling to find out delivery date that it wasn’t in stock and could take at least 3 weeks to get to warehouse before it could even be scheduled for delivery. Total baiting! Meanwhile you have payment in full while I wait for delivery! Frankly If they had just been honest I would have picked out something else that was readily available. Dishonest and unethical. Angry and frustrated!!!!

I purchased a mattress and frame in January. My husband and I spend a ton of time in the bedroom after work relaxing and decided to splurge on the adjustable base. We received everything and was so excited. We began playing with the base features and kept hearing a loud bang. We then realized the base was lifting the entire foot of the bed. There was a board at the foot of the bed frame underneath that was catching the rail on the base as well as a screw on the side rail that was sticking out and had ripped the base. We had the bed two days and the base was already ripped and besides the base lifting the bed that clearly wasn’t compatible with the base, the quality of the furniture was terrible, everything shook and wobbled. We went to the store with videos and pictures of everything I described and was told we could pick out a new better quality set. I asked about the delivery fee and did we have to pay it again bc the set clearly wasn’t compatible and was told yes I did. I asked about the base being torn. We bought the 5 year through Ashley and ten year warranty through tempurpedic. I was told to call customer support for that issue, I did and they told me they couldn’t do anything for a tear. I also called about the charge and was told I had to talk to the store, I already had and they made me pay it. When the delivery team showed up with my new frame, they told me they had to leave and come back bc they didn’t have enough room and didn’t want to move my bed they were taking back over their next few stops and they could come back tomorrow. I took off work that day and had to work all the next day. I told them it had to be today. They did come back and upon coming back made the comment I can’t believe they sold u that frame, it’s not compatible with this base. This I already know!!! I’ve seen it. So now I have a 10,000$ set that I was charged two delivery fees and a base that has a tear in it after two days of having it. Being charged the second delivery fee is beyond ridiculous when I was sold the wrong set. I am very disappointed in my experience!

I would not have believed this if I wasn't there. The delivery from Ashley's was beyond horrible...and should be an embarrassment for Ashley's. The delivery men arrived about 2 hours early to drop off new mattresses for my parents who are 81 and 78. Fortunately, they were available at that time and able to accommodate this last second notice. They are not able to move the old mattresses themselves. When the old mattresses were moved off of the box springs by the 2 delivery men, my father wanted to quickly vacuum up some of the dust that had accumulated over the years between the mattress and the box spring. One of the delivery guys began to admonish my father by saying that "this should have been done before hand" and he didn't have time for this because he had other deliveries to make. My dad was caught off guard and flabbergasted by this rude and inappropriate response. He said that it would only take a minute, and the delivery guy retorted to him "Less talking and more working". Again, my father was incredulous at the anger directed at him by the Ashley's delivery person who was seemingly trying to teach my father a lesson. He then continued arguing with my father all the while delaying the install of the new mattresses. Afterwards my father said that he should have told them to take the new mattresses back. To be fair, the other delivery guy was very nice, and I'm sure embarrassed by his co-worker's behavior. I thanked him for his help. A manager from Ashley's eventually called my father with the excuse that these are contract employees. However, that does not matter when they drive up in an Ashley's truck delivering Ashley's purchased items. Ashley's owns the relationship from start to finish and their inability to fire or at the very least make this delivery person call back and apologize for his lack of decency shows a lack of concern. It's easy to use the "these are not our employees" excuse, but this is simply an attempt to pass the buck. Terrible service all around and we advise anyone to be very careful with Ashley's commitment to customer service.

Terrible customer service, horrible delivery drivers. First, received an "damage protection plan" that I was not told about, nor asked for. Sales person was very nice and helpful but BEWARE!! You have to sign an iPad and are not able to review everything until you get your receipt emailed to you. I immediately Emailed her with overpricing on items and asked why I wasn't told it was added on. $1200. I was told this was discussed, it wasn't. She also stated if you don't use it in 3 years, it becomes a store credit. Ok, whatever. We Received many pieces of damaged furniture. 2 delivery men, one wore slip on crocks and shuffled his feet like a 2 year old, carrying heavy furniture. LIABILITY??? Missing pieces to put the bedroom set together. We were told someone would contact us to schedule the repairs. I had to call after no contact for a week. I was told the order was submitted and the repair person would call to schedule. I received an "how did we do email" and was honest- still waiting for repairs, horrible delivery drivers, etc. That prompted calls the next day trying to resolve my issues. I was told the repair order was submitted. After another week of waiting, I called back (both times speaking to Bridget) and was told, "it just went through and they will call you in 48 hours to schedule". Another few days goes by and I had to call back. I was given the name and number of the repair person. I called to schedule. He thankfully had a cancellation the same day and came right out. When he went to put the bed together, found there were missing parts. That's why it wasn't put together in the first place!! I called the warranty department and Bridget had the audacity to say "I called you and you never called me back"??!! What? We played phone tag twice but I retuned every call. She said we had 2 options. 1. She could reach out to the warehouse and see if they can find it. 2. Order it. Option 1, we would have a response in 24 hours and have it overnighted. Option 2 would take a week to arrive. She chose option 1. John , the repair person sent her texts and photos of what was missing and needed to put the brand new set together. I received a text Monday saying the part was ordered, after waiting another week. I received it last night. WRONG PARTS! 4 weeks of waiting and they sent the wrong parts. I'm so over it. I called Bridget and told her to have it picked up. I have guests coming next week and now have to find another set because they can't get it together. AT THE LEAST, they should have replaced it. Spent my last dime at Ashley of Jacksonville. Also found out that these are warranty repairs (on brand new furniture) so that store credit, isn't going to happen. It sure seems like a scam to me.

I recently called Ashley Furniture to request assistance with my 9 month old couch. When I called, the Service Manager was less than helpful and I ended up hanging up and escalating my issues, which has not helped. I then TRIED to post a review that was never posted and if it was, they did not post it anywhere that I can find it on their site. I feel this is very dishonest. I am posting the review here for others to see, that way the information is out to the public, as Ashley states " We reserve the right to moderate posts, comments, and reviews on any of our social channels/platforms however we will address this with our legal team along with the statements you provided below. I do understand your concern. I hope you understand we need to follow the protocol. I will check the order details and will reach out to you with an update as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience." Below is my review on the Altari Living Room Set: WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS COUCH OR SET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me start by saying, I have a very limited amount of space in my living room, which then limits what I can and can't buy. I looked for a new living room set for over a year and finally, I find something that would fit in my space! Yayyyyy! I was so happy. I purchased the couch, loveseat and chair immediately. I bought the protection plan because I have a young child and well, you know things happen. I bought this package around Jan '23 and it was delivered within a month, give or take. It is now November, so about 9 months and the couch is falling apart. The amount of piling is insane! The top/back cushions are connected to the couch, therefore you can't remove them and the stuffing inside "falls" to the bottom of the cushion making it an extremely strange shape. WARNING - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE ZIPPER AND ADJUST ANY OF IT BECAUSE YOU WILL THEN BE MANIPULATING THE FURNTURE and your warranty is void. Which I found out the hard way and what I found most interesting about this, is the service manager actually sounded HAPPY that she got to tell me that I am now not able to use the manufacturer warranty. The bottom cushions are already so crushed we can feel the frame of the couch under us. All of my issues are categorized as "normal wear and tear" but the couch already looks 7 years old. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase. I am giving up on trying to get Ashley on the phone or even to assist with any of these issues, seeing how they are happy to deny you any assistance. I will not be purchasing from Ashley again.

I typically wait to complain, and the issue must be egregious; however, purchasing from Ashley Furniture store has been the most painful experience! We are four months into this process and still need a product that is not damaged. All in all, we only ordered a little, just a bed frame and mattress. The purchase was on 12/11/22, and we received a partial delivery on 12/22/22. They delivered the headboard and footboard, both of which were damaged. After speaking with our salesperson, the instructions were to submit the documentation when contacted. I did so immediately to ensure we complied. I didn't want any excuses since I was paying for this. Next came radio silence and radio silence. At this point, we are incredibly frustrated. So, we reach back out to our salesperson. And, finally, we get a callback. The reason for the delay? They had no record of us sending the documentation, although I had text proof I sent the pictures and answered their questions. So, now we are in January of 2023; I'm still paying for a damaged bedframe. After a bit of back and forth, the claim is submitted. From there, it was a waiting game because nothing was in stock. Fast forward to 4/1/23. The new bedframe arrives. The first issue was the delivery guys asked us for tools to take apart the bed. Excuse me, shouldn't your company provide the necessary tools for you to complete your job? The homeowner is not responsible for providing tools to complete your tasks! Secondly, this bedframe post is not flush at the top, so it sits unevenly at the top and has a dent. The actual wood is missing. C'mon, man, are you kidding me? So, here we go again, another claim ticket. I'm at a loss for the customer service and furniture's quality, and despite the bad reviews I read, I thought we would be ok. Well, the joke is on us. I would NEVER recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone. Let's see how long it takes for this NEW frame to get replaced. At this point, I want nothing else to do with them. Do better, Ashley Furniture, do better!

STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN. This business has thousands of my dollars and cancelled half of my order without refunding me. I now have half of the things I paid for delivered, and the other half they cancelled. I have had to broker 2 months' worth of communication between their own teams because they do not talk to each other internally and leave the onus on the customer to solve the problem. Tristan helped me pick out mostly items that were “in stock” because I’m moving out of state and needed everything no later than early January. Turns out when I contacted customer service only a day later, most of it was actually backordered and instead of getting everything by the time I move…I’m left to have it delivered to its original location in Jacksonville and have to come back to Jacksonville from my new home (out of state) to pick it up once it’s finally delivered. What’s more frustrating is when I try to ask customer service about this, they can’t help and send me to the store to talk to Tristan who hasn’t called me back. I can now see online that I could order the same exact table today, online, two months later, and get it almost immediately. But, that same table I paid for over a month ago doesn’t have a timetable on delivery, still. It’s overall just frustrating and adds unnecessary complication to something that I was trying to make very simple by ordering so far in advance, in person, with mostly “in stock” items which apparently weren’t in stock. After all of this, I asked for two things to be cancelled and the in stock items to, finally, be delivered. I expected a refund for the two items I cancelled. Instead, the store cancelled the remainder of my order which means I now half half of what I ordered and they cannot even locate the order. Better yet, they haven't refunded me for what they cancelled. This business should not be in business. This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. Ever. There have been some bad apples, but this business takes the award for the worst.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. TLDR: If you want your furniture to basically be held hostage this is the place go order from!! But seriously, don't ever buy furniture from here. My boyfriend and I were going to move on June 1st, so we went shopping here in early May to look for a couch. We seemingly found the perfect couch and everyone was super nice. The couch was a great price and we left pretty satisfied. The problems started afterward. We were quoted the first week of June for delivery, which at the time we thought was perfect because we weren't moving until then anyway. Fast forward to when we moved in, we were then texted a new quote of June 14. Ok, fine no big deal. Then we were notified it was pushed back ANOTHER week to the week of June 21 and we were quoted a delivery day of that Thursday. The day of the delivery came an dwe were notified that the delivery man noticed it was damaged before he started driving over here, so they would have to order a brand new couch. At this point I'm starting to get frustrated because it's been pretty much 2 months since I ordered the couch. I understood there were production delays because of COVID but this was starting to get ridiculous. We were quoted the following week so at this point we are in July now. Fast forward to the new Thursday we were quoted, we received a delivery time quote of 3-6 pm... then were told 6-7 pm... and the delivery driver never showed up. We called the next day and were not given any explanation on why it was delayed and were quoted ANOTHER week. We got a delivery fee refunded and decided to give them one more week. Now it's Thursday July 8th and they called us saying it was delayed another week and we were done. We demanded a full refund because we have had enough and decided to order from Wayfair instead. I had heard through TikTok of the insane delays and damaged furniture that Ashley Furniture delivered, but I had been willing to overlook them because family and friends had always ordered from Ashley Furniture with no issues and the price seemed too good to pass up. I've learned my lesson and will NEVER give this company another dime of my money. Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else. The good reviews on here are probably because people have not received their furniture yet. It's only a good experience inside the store. Once they have your money you'll be disappointed in the end.

My shopping experience was one i could say felt like being at a bad used car dealership. A lot of pressure is endured from sales team, especially Chris who tries to strong arm you into purchasing protection plan or you can't receive additional sale prices on certain pieces. When i questioned a price on a piece of furniture that i saw cheaper the DAY before at the location in OP he tried to tell ME i must have seen that price a while back for some other sale. I had to show him picture i took on my cell phone and walla-- that's the sale price. I should have NEVER visited this store as my experience in OP was more pleasing. The salesmen at this store are sleezy and the staff behind counter are incompetent. They recorded not one but BOTH of my contact numbers wrong and i was told by James (which my receipt reflects) that i was scheduled for the 22nd and when i contacted them today on the 21st they never saw me scheduled for 22nd and my order was on hold since they could not get a hold of me. Now i have to wait another week for delivery. Not impressed and highly upset. No compensation for their mistake and barely an apology as Miranda who took a call from me at this location was quite rude when i asked to hold for manager. FAST Fwd a few days and I had a customer care manager- Sandra call me and apologize, which was great...until she gave me her word that I would have 5pm or After deliver this week and then 1 day later she can't keep her word because delivery manager says there aren't enough deliveries on the route. Hmmm...seems you should NEVER over promise to a customer just to under deliver(get it?). Dissapointed in myself for ever setting foot into an Ashley furniture store and dealing with the headache of people unable to do their jobs right. Never again, lesson learned. One last update. "White glove" delivery is a joke! One man asked to use my bathroom immediately (and didn't bother wash his hands afterwards; and just to clarify the non hand washer had a moving company shirt on not affiliated with Ashley)and the other asked to use a phone charger and then tracked dirt in my house. They refuse to measure doorways before attempting to move furniture through and walked all the way around to the back of my home nearly taking my sliding back door out in their attempt to bring furniture through. Fear not they came all the way back around to the front and tried again without the dolly. I am also wondering why if you pick up directly from warehouse(in jax) furniture will still be in plastic that you take off yourself, but I guess to save time the furniture is pre unwrapped and wrapped in smelly furniture blankets if use"white glove" delivery. I seriously can't make up my experience with this company. Never ever ever ever again will I buy from here again. I will gladly spend much more at Haverty's or layzboy. Anywhere else but here.

I'm Back to Consumer Alert. I will NEVER shop here again. All they want to do is close the sale, they could give a crap about any issue. I purchased an electric base for my tempurpedic mattress based off their bed experts recommendation. We wanted a more professionally built version to raise our heads then board lifting up the head. We got the base installed, and when I got home it was sitting on the floor. So first lie from Ashley was it arrives just like this. In the show room its sitting on this pretty gray cloth base thing with black legs. Mine, sitting straight on the floor. When I call and say wuzzup they say oh we will send a base out, then they send this cheap little metal put together bed frame thing like I had when I was a child. We called the next day after sleeping on this heads up adjustable base explaining it almost put me in the hospital, sent my blood pressure through the roof, and kicked up my GERD so terribly it wasn't funny. Also we woke up with a pinched nerve in our backs and necks, slept on the adjustable base the second night, same issue but worse. All we asked for was a store credit. Instead they tell us if we spend $4600 more then will trade in the bed, mind you we still have that $1595 base on our credit card. Then comes lie number 10 or 20 out of their mouths, they say oh if we take this back we have to take it to a warehouse and burn it. Do you really think I'm that stupid? Don't insult me, I have 3 degrees sir. Long story short we finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and got a pretty negative response from someone that I didn't appreciate, but they were offering a trade with a restocking fee (30% plus a new $195 delivery fee) We basically ended up purchasing the bed frame we went in there to look at before they convinced us this heads up base would be better, he even said yeah you could put a bed skirt over this base, pointing at the grey base we never got to put under the box springs. I pitty anyone that makes a purchase at this place. If you have one second of an issue, best of luck to you, it just wont happen. So $500 more later we now have a bed that should have cost $1300. If you must purchase, buy from Ashley Website, prices are better, corporate Ashley not this franchise, would have actually given us the credit we wanted. I want the owner of this store to know I will tell my story to hundreds of people, I hope your ripping me off of $500 makes you happen, because that is going to turn in to $1000s in lost revenue. Its already happening sir, 2 sales you already lost this week. We left your store and went to Haverty's, got amazing service they have a 3 day no fuss return policy, and we would have been much better off there. Might I mention, we spend about 4 grand in their store that day, so yeah $500. Oh and then there is my friend I convinced to buy his recliner anywhere but your store, because I would hope NO consumer reading this should ever have to deal with your pathetic customer service. Now on the plus side, the delivery guys were awesome, and some of your staff in the store are super nice. If you like to be harassed by used car salesman in a furniture store with a bunch of high pressure lies and tactics, then you will LOVE Ashley Furniture Homestore in the town center. Haverty's same prices, better quality, hope yall listen to me. Tell Haverty's Jerry sent you!

I went in for a coffee table and a dining room table. The idiot sales woman told me there was no coffee table from the same family as the dining room table I selected. I ordered the dining room table and went about my life. Once home, I went to the Ashley website and VOILA! There was the matching coffee table! I immediately called the store back to add the coffee table to my order, but my sales lady was "with another customer." The biznitch who answered the phone would only take my phone number and not the message that I needed to add to my order. When I didn't get a call back in 3 hours, I called again. Same chick answers the phone and says, "Ms. Lawrence, I HAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER! She'll call you when she's available." Mind you, I did not introduce myself when I called, so she's screening calls. Clearly, they were not interested in making an extra sale that day for whatever reason. SO...I decided I would NOT purchase that coffee table. Eff 'em. My dining room table is delivered on a Sunday and there is a 6 inch section that should be painted white like the rest of the table, but it's not painted, and it's black. I call the store and they say to send pictures. I do this the very next day. I get a returned e-mail (MIRACLE). They say if I don't hear back within a week, call them. I called a week later and what do you know, that person is off and someone else can't find record of it. She's going to try to help me and she'll call me back. She doesn't, so I call back. She sayd I should be hearing from the scheduling department soon so they can come out to repair the furniture. Another week goes by...NOTHING. I call the store every morning at 1005 because they "open at 1000." Yet no one seems to answer the phone there until after 1100. The same biznitch always answers. It has been 1 month and I still have a damaged table and no one will help me. They're about to be real surprised when I walk up into that store and raise a fuss in front of every last one of their customers that will have them all thinking twice about making a purchase!!!! DO NOT GO TO RIVER CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do NOT trust purchasing furniture from Ashley Furniture. This is the most UNETHICAL place I've ever purchased any good or service from. They ILLEGALLY sold me Warranties with my furniture by stating that "The warranties are FREE, we'll THROW THEM IN FOR YOU". When I reviewed my Purchase Invoice, I was charged over $1,000 IN WARRANTIES. They stated that they were able to discount the price of the furniture BECAUSE of the WARRANTIES, which is highly ILLEGAL and UNETHICAL. The bottom line is I was told the warranties were FREE and being THROWN IN, but in reality, on my purchase order, they CHARGED ME OVER $1,000 IN WARRANTIES, which technically means I PAID $1,000 for WARRANTIES that were supposed to be FREE AND THROWN IN and their response is "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". Sales Manager MELISSA and Customer Service Associate JESSICA even admitted to me that it is common practice for them to PACK THE COST OF THE FURNITURE with WARRANTIES. Furthermore, the CUSTOMER SERVICE was HORRIBLE, THE WORST, as both SALES MANAGER MELISSA and CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE JESSICA LIED TO ME REPEATEDLY about the DELIVERY of the furniture as well as the PRICING OF THE FURNITURE. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE PEOPLE, THEY WILL ROB AND MISTREAT YOU. Additionally, you can EXPECT your furniture DELIVERY to be DELAYED REPEATEDLY for MONTHS, even almost a YEAR. If you HAVE had a similar experience at Ashley Furniture, you should: 1) You should contact an LAWYER IMMEDIATELY for illegal and unethical business practices, specifically MISINFORMATION, PAYMENT PACKING, and ILLEGAL WARRANTY PACKING. 2) File a COMPLAINT with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU ONLINE. 3) Write a NEGATIVE GOOGLE REVIEW for ASHLEY FURNITURE detailing your experience as well as specifically naming the MANAGERS and ASSOCIATES involved in the sale. 4) Contact the CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU (CFPB) and SUBMIT A COMPLAINT WITH THEM detailing your EXPERIENCE for UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. They will INVESTIGATE thoroughly including AUDITS of Ashley Furniture's records for DISCRIMINATION, etc. of other CUSTOMERS who have had SIMILAR experiences. It's time Ashley Furniture starts VALUING their CUSTOMERS and make CUSTOMER SERVICE their TOP PRIORITY, NOT MONEY. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
