My fiancé and I were looking for new furniture for the bedroom as well as a home office. We met and worked with Valerie on our first visit but were undecided on sets and needed additional time to think about our choices. She is a consummate professional and is very patient and never puts any pressure on you to buy. A few weeks later when we returned, we immediately asked for Valerie and was pleased that she was working and available. After an hour or so we had narrowed our choice down to a full King Bedroom set and an office desk and wall unit. If you want great furniture choices, and personalized help with no pressure, I'd recommend visiting Ashley in Orange Park and ask for Valerie. You will not regret it. I hated to give Ashley Furniture one star because I absolutely love The electric reclining sofa that was just delivered to me 90 days ago. Unfortunately, they stopped working and that’s where the one star comes in. Very little customer service follow through when I called for warranty repair. Initial call on Monday. Told me a repairman would get back to me and 72 hours. I made another call the next day just to make sure someone was working on my problem and they told me again 72 hours. So I called Friday and they said that the technician would be calling me to schedule my appointment by 430 Friday afternoon. at this point, I’ve kind of lost faith in The company to stand by their product. Saturday and I again was told it was my fault that I didn’t understand 72 hours meant at least a week before anybody would call me to make arrangements for the repair. The lady I talked to was a little on the snarky side since it was obviously my fault for not understanding their procedures. I want my chair fixed. I don’t think it’s a technician‘s fault because he’s a third-party and he really doesn’t have a dog in his fight. I guess I just feel used and abused. So if one day you see a bunch of old disabled vets sitting in front of the store in Orange Park Florida on Blanding Boulevard with signs saying Ashley Furniture Customer service failed me, perhaps stop by and say hello cause it’ll be me And as many people as I can gather, who have a similar problem with this company. I guess miracles can happen. Wish me luck. I do miss my chair. It’s like when you pushed the buttons and it reclines and I’m telling you there’s nothing better than the headrest On this reclining sofa. Just know that they sell great furniture, but they seem to forget about you once you pay your money and you finally get your delivery. I guess I’m just really disappointed That the art of customer service has somehow died.

Let me preface this review by saying we have purchased furniture from Ashley before back home in Chicago. We have NEVER had a negative experience, until now. We recently purchased a home in St. John's but will not be officially moving in until June of 2020. My wife came down for 2 weeks well in advance of the Holidays to furnish some of the house so we could come down for Christmas and have family and friends to celebrate the Holidays with us. My wife found the living room set she wanted and facetimed me to make sure I was in board. When we asked our Sales Rep if we would be able to take delivery before the Holidays he absolutely assured us we would be able to. Looking back I think "of course he did because he wanted the sale." We went ahead with the purchase, which was not cheap, because we liked it but mainly because we knew we would have it on time. Had we known we could not, we would have shopped elsewhere. Fast forward, it is now Dec 26th and all we have is the side table we ordered. That's It! Promised delivery dates have come and gone. Between the date of order and now has been nothing but frustrated and angry phone calls on our part trying to get answers. The end result has been them just telling us what we want to hear in order to get us off their back..but still no results and still no furniture. Nobody seems to know anything including how to actually use a computer. The level of incompetence is very surprising when you consider the amount of 5 star reviews. Again, we have never had this issue in Chicago ever and it has really surprised us. Today they have again promised us a delivery date. This time for this Saturday 12/28. We leave to go back to Chicago on 1/2 not to return again until June. We are quickly running out of time so fingers crossed..lol. We would never tell people not to shop somewhere as we are business owners ourselves but I would definitely warn people to ask questions, get everything you can in writing and expect things can and will happen! Happy Holidays! Update: Furniture was finally delivered on 12/28. So far so good. However, the $200+ table lamp was not delivered. My wife was told it would be ready for pick up in the store today, 12/31. My wife went to the store and guess what? Yup. No lamp. It is sitting at the warehouse and won't be in the store until Friday when we will have already left town..which they already knew by the way. So now my wife is having to drive over to the warehouse with fingers crossed that the lamp will actually be there. I have to give props to Ashley back in Chicago. Never, ever have we experienced this much frustration with them or the blank stares and scripted "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" we have gotten from everyone at this location. Your "sorrys" do not make it any less inconvenient and your automated responses as seen below are a joke. If you truly care about your customers then do your best to reach out and take care of them. You lost us as future customers but maybe you can salvage others.

The store’s disconnect with “corporate” and what’s on their own website is confusing and this will go for any Ashley’s Furniture store. Basically the Ashley’s website is not the same Ashley’s you walk into and neither of the aforementioned is the same Ashley’s across town. This means they can’t tap into each other’s deals or promotions and possibly selling items. Some other important things: 1. Expect to wait 2-4 weeks to get your furniture since every piece is supposedly made to order. 2. All purchases are final. No returns or exchanges. If your new furniture does not meet your expectations, which will be a surprise on delivery day, your only saving grace might be the warranty. 3. They consider price matching their own website price a discount in the sense that a coupon can’t be combined. Yet they honored the store sale discount price with our coupon. Odd. Note disconnect previously mentioned. 4. The most prominent price next to a furniture item on the sales floor might not apply to that piece of furniture. Read the back of the sign to check for the floor model price. 5. Make sure you’re comfortable with your sales person and that you feel like they’re listening to what you want. This was the most disappointing buying experience I’ve ever had in my whole life. When we told our sales person we were ready to buy, I later realized I had left our coupon in the car and told her I’ll be right back while my fiancé would explain what we wanted, she responded asking if we weren’t buying today after all (??). Also at that time, before discussing what we wanted, she asked us how we would be paying. When she suggested financing, we gave her a hard no. We actually told her three separate times we’d be paying in full, yet she proceeded to go over financing options in detail when going over the final cost, you’ll see how ironic this part is later. Why would you ask someone how they’re going to pay and try to suggest financing options before you even know what they want? Go in this store knowing that all they care about is money. Flustered we decided to take a breather and told her we’ll come get her when we’re ready again. We attempted to get someone else but she walked by, saw us and took over again. We told her “this is the one we want”, pointing to the model on the floor. This being our first major furniture purchase and first Ashley Furniture purchase, initially we did not realize the back of the price sign even existed, let alone that there were different model types since our reference was the website where the only sofa in that style was the one we wanted, again the disconnect is confusing. We were excited and chatting amongst ourselves about all the features and how good the price was. At no point did she stop to explain that the model we pointed to and asked for didn’t have the same price as the price that was biggest, outward, and in bold on the sign adjacent to the furniture on the sales floor. To our confusion on delivery day, we ended up with a different model than what we asked for, supposedly the one for the price we saw but I honestly think we’ll never know because the prices changed when we returned. After trying to talk with the sales lady on the phone and not getting anywhere, my fiancé went into the store to try to work something out with the sales manager. He literally had to hardcore haggle them to get something agreeable as if buying for a car. Not the most fun situation to be in when you already legitimately feel like this is partly their fault. While we shared some fault in it by honestly not knowing there were different model types, we were left feeling extremely uncomfortable. We felt like they were being dishonest and manipulative throughout the entire process even before we realized the mix up, for that reason we will never go to this store ever again and we will never recommend this particular store to anyone.

Delivery issues and unacceptable customer service through this company! April 20th we ordered a rug from Ashley's and paid in full. Our receipt stated that the rug should arrive no later than June 4th. On June 4th the rug had not arrived and so I contacted the company. Kimberly said that it looked as if the rug had not been shipped because stock was low and we could pick out another rug or wait until August for it to arrive. I said that I wanted a refund. She said that she must get authorization from a customer service (cs) rep. to do this and would get back with me the next day. I called the next day after not hearing from her and she said that the cs rep. was contacting the rug distributor to see where the rug was because the order HAD gone through, but they were not sure where things had gone wrong. I asked to work directly with the cs rep. and was denied. I requested she contact me within 2 days with updates and did not hear back. I called and was told that Kimberly was out until Sat. and the cs rep. was in a meeting and would call me after. 20 min. before the company closed I called again because I hadn't heard from the c.s. rep (Brandi). Brandi answered and said that she had not received my message. She could not handle my refund because accounting was closed, but wanted to take down my cc# to give to them the next day. I was uncomfortable with this and so I was assured that they would call me the next morning. I went into the store the next afternoon (accounting never called), talked to Brandi, who said that the return should have been processed already (How could it have been processed if they did not have my cc #). I was put on the phone with accounting who processed the return (it had not been taken care of yet). It appeared as if a receptionist was writing down my cc info as I was verbalizing it over the phone with accounting. I am unsure of this, but this makes me nervous as she had no reason to document this private info. At no point during the store visit did the cs rep apologize.
