Had an excellent experience with Ashley and my salesman Armando. Just waiting for them to deliver my furniture. One item was not in stock for two weeks. It is not a problem and gave me time to get ready for the new bed to come. I bought a full king bed frame for my Sleep Number Bed.

Seeking and finding your perfect selections of furniture and/or accessories can be a task...but at Ashley Furniture, the choices are huge and the sales associates are professional. After a very bad experience with another local firm, A search lead us to Ashley and from start to finish, the purchasing experience was proficient, courteous and smooth. In the last 15 years I have made several purchases in Ashley Furniture Stores in different states. My experience with Melbourne Ashely was as follows: Great Service at the store! Mark was a great sales advisor and provided superb customer service with no pressure. Delivery personnel was efficient. Now, in terms of the product, I have to say Quality and workmanship have decline over the years. The product looks good and the design and patters are nice, however a few days after delivery of the product we have found some issues that require fix. Seems like their factory or contractor in China has sacrificed quality for cost.

We had an okay experience. At the store we had a little issue with pricing on the right furniture, but finally got it right and almost made a bad decision on the choice of furniture due to errors. It all worked out in the end, but process took longer do to the error. The delivery was a little worse. I was given a time of 9-1:15. Got a call from the driver at 11 saying they would be here in an hour to hour and a half. after 2 hours I called the 800 number and the store and got excuses, but never a confirmation they were on way. At about 2:30 they arrived and got my furniture quickly. It was mostly bad because I waited all day for a window and that was not held to, the store and 800 never offered a excuse or something in return. I guess my time is not worth anything. To make it worse my kids were visiting from Dallas and we wasted a day on this and could not leave the house till they got there, because of their lack of communication. Unacceptable and the number one reason I hate windows of time. Just keep your commitment people, our time is as valuable as yours.

We ordered a bed set from Ashleys were promised 2-3 weeks delivery time. 3.5 passed and not even our salesman thought it was necessary to give is a call to tell us it would be another 2 weeks. When went into the store to find out what was going on, our salesman refused to talk to us and told us to go see the girls in the back of the store. The least he could have done is walked the 50 feet with us. Funny thing is he was very attentive BEFORE we opened our wallets. Ashleys, great furniture, BAD service.

My wife and I bought a chair – the High Leg Recliner/Placido/Script - from the Ashley store in Melbourne, FL. Upon delivery, we saw right away that the front legs were badly misaligned and the frame was crooked. The delivery man wanted to get going (it was Superbowl Sunday) and refused to take it back. When I complained to Ashley, I was told that I should have refused delivery of the chair (I tried!) and my only option was to accept a replacement chair. After much argument, Ashley sent another chair. It was even worse, with bad wrinkles in the back fabric. Again, the delivery man wouldn’t allow us to refuse the chair and, when I called Ashley, I was told they’d only exchange it for another identical chair! It took a lot of argument, but now we have a store credit, not the refund we deserve. All this demonstrates a total lack of concern for Ashley’s customers. This is not “customer service”, it’s “customer abuse”.

Customer service is okay, until >after< a sale. There is a "no returns" policy on mattresses, even if the mattress is defective. We had to fight it out with Sealy, they sent out a representative to examine the mattress, and even after they found six defects in the mattress and boxsprings, they tried to deny our claim to replace the mattress. This after just THREE days after purchase. Ashley wanted nothing to do with the problem and quickly referred us to Sealy. Will definitely NOT recommend this store for any home furnishing purchase, even after I found several items of furniture I considered purchasing. Any company that doesn't stand behind what they sell ... is NOT worth doing business with. Major let down.

Purchased a furniture package, and asked when I could pick it up. The answer was that they do not allow for customer's to actually pick up the furniture. It can only be delivered, and at a cost of $125. I reluctantly agreed. Furniture was purchased on Saturday and delivery was scheduled for the following Tuesday for between 11:00 and 3:00. I asked the sales person if the driver could call me when they were on their way, the answer was "No". She explained that I needed to be home between those hours. I reluctantly agreed. I sat at home on that Tuesday from 11:00 to 3:00 with no delivery. At 3:00 I called the 1-800 number given to me and they explained that the driver was on his way. An hour later with no delivery I called again, and received the same answer that "they were on their way". I decided to call the store I purchased it from and they told me that it was "on it's way". So, at 6:00 pm (Three Hours Past the Quoted Time), I called the store again, and was told that they furniture was "on it's way". The furniture was finally delivered at 7:30 pm (Four and A Half Hours Late), while we were trying to put my two year old daughter to bed. I called the store to ask if I could be refunded the delivery cost since I originally wanted to pick up the furniture but was told that I couldn't, and that I also lost money not working that day. The person I spoke to said she would speak to her manager and call me back. I did not receive a call back, so I called the store and spoke to the same young lady that I had been speaking with the next day at noon. She said that her manager would not give me any sort of compensation, or even an apology. They said I signed a piece of paper explaining the delivery process and they were not liable. So apparently It is customary to pay for delivery and then wait at home for eight and a half hours waiting for it to be delivered. I will not buy furniture from here again...

Is there a negative rating to choose from? I've never experienced such unprofessional behavior in all of my life. After 3 attempted deliveries of a partial couch with no real explanation and an unsatisfactory resolution (still no couch)...the store manager told us that our best option was to to simply accept a refund. WE WANTED THE COUCH. Too bad. Do not buy from here. Do not walk. Do not pass Go. Run for your life and spend your money at a place that wants to earn your business. Or just anywhere else AT ALL. I would not buy a DOG BED from these people.

I would give a negative review, but there is no way to do that. Ashley Furniture is one of the worst furniture stores to shop at. They do not stand behind their products. I had the loveseat replaced 3 times. I had an issue with the cushion on the couch where the seam came unsewn. It is like pulling teeth to get someone out here to fix it the right way. Don't shop here is you can find the same deal somewhere else.

Buying from this store is being the worst experience I've ever had. I purchased a bed from them, after waiting one week the bed was delivered, the only thing is that it was the wrong one...completely wrong order. I can understand and error on the order, the worst part was when the delivery guy tried to talk my husband into keeping the bed because "it was better than the one we purchased"...not only that, he assembled the bed even after we told him not to. Of course the guy had to disassemble the bed and take it with him (very rude when he was leaving) But the story does not end there... after we reported the incident to the store, they scheduled the delivery of the correct bed for the upcoming days... The bed was delivered, however it was damaged, so again back to the store...three weeks after the purchase we are still waiting for the bed. The store has good furniture, but their commitment to a decent customer service is non-existing.

Walked in there 3 weeks ago to purchase a small pub set that was advertised on sale. Told the Sales person Donnie, who thought he was a comedian, what we wanted. He was able to write up the order, but we had to wait three weeks for delivery Day of delivery comes.. table is damaged. We refused it. I called the store. They arranged to have the table redelivered Monday. Monday comes, and they show up early... good thing I was here. However, the table missed the truck. Three delivery men standing in the road wondering where my Furniture was. I called the store and was placed on hold for ten minutes, I hung up and called back. The sales manager Jim, completely unprofessional. Made personal excuses , and spoke over me. I had to stop him and tell him to listen to me. I asked what he was going to do to make this right, and he said he will get me scheduled for a redeliver. Good thing I called customer service and did it myself... I have not heard from anyone at the store. I requested to speak with Stephanie, the store manager... and she has not called me. I called customer service and they are shocked at the lack of response from the store. DO NOT buy from this store.
