Very disappointed with our experience. The sales associate failed to communicate accurately, and because of a miscommunication on the final transaction date, the deal fell through. They are keeping our $350 down payment, which may not be a large amount, but it’s the principle. We loved the couch we chose and could have easily gone back to pay cash for it, but we will not. The lack of accurate information and poor customer service have made it clear that we will never purchase anything from this store again. Because there’s no way to reply directly to your comment, I’m updating my review with my response. I have to be honest — your reply doesn’t reflect what actually happened. You weren’t there for the in-person visits we made or the phone calls we had with different people at your store. From our perspective, the situation played out very differently. Bringing up “multiple forms of payment” is misleading and comes across as if we couldn’t afford the purchase, which couldn’t be further from the truth. We had plenty of ways to pay. The real problem was being given information that turned out to be wrong. That’s why we walked away — it was about principle, not money. We ended up buying a more expensive sofa, coffee table, and end tables from Rooms To Go, where we had a great experience start to finish. Those pieces are arriving tomorrow. At the end of the day, we’re not going to keep going back and forth with you online. You made an extra $350 for absolutely nothing, and we’ll leave it at that. But please do not imply we didn’t have the money — your customer service was poor. Own it and move on. As someone who has been a business owner, this is not how I would typically respond to a negative review. I would have reached out to see what I could do to resolve the issue.

Respectfully, you do not know the full extent of the customer service experience we had. You were not present for the multiple times we visited the store or the phone conversations we had with your staff, so we will have to kindly disagree with your version of events. Your statement about offering “multiple forms of payment” comes across as an insinuation that we were unable to pay, which is not the case. Payment was never the issue — the issue was that we were told one thing that turned out to be inaccurate. Out of principle, we canceled the order. We immediately went to Rooms To Go, purchased a more expensive sofa, coffee table, and end tables, and received excellent customer service. Those items will actually be delivered tomorrow. At the end of the day, this is about how we were treated — including the way my husband was spoken to by the store manager (which I assume is you). To then go online and imply we couldn’t pay only made the situation worse. You’ve got our $350. I hope it was worth it.

The worst furniture store in America. No customer service. Absolute cheap junk. Website was designed by a 3rd grader. Fire the CEO.

Over all, Bacon's Furniture/Ashley Furniture is a highly respected and professional company that strives for the perfect showroom experience and 'White glove' delivery service. The gentlemen that delivered our furniture were efficient and very careful with our home, walls and setting up our living room furniture. Unfortunately, there was a little damage to our entryway door frame when the heavy, reclining loveseat was brought through. I'm not worried about the damage because I know Bacon's Furniture is a responsible company and it will be fixed without hesitation. The rest of the delivery went as smooth as possible. We are extremely happy with our puchase experience with Craig Lyons, the Sales associate and Bacon's/Ashley Furniture. *We highly recommend visiting this showroom and talking with Craig.

I have never seen two guys work so hard in such hot weather in the 90’s with high humidity. Everything was unwrapped and placed where we needed and it was very heavy to move. Attention to detail was outstanding. This delivery team was the best of the best. I hope they are compensated well for the hard work I saw them do. I was a Chief E7 in the Coast Guard for 25 years and moved 13 times so I have seen a lot of moving companies do their thing. Your delivery team was the best ever.

Delivery persons were extremely polite and professional. They cleared all wrappings and made sure all electric functioned properly. I will definitely buy from this company again.

My husband and I scheduled to have furntiure delivered on the day we arrived from our cross country trip from Wisconsin to Florida. The furniture was excellent quality and the delivery truck drivers were really great, however the table was chipped. We ended up having to leave the property we rented due to numerous issues we had; and our friend who lives about 30 minutes from the original delivery address was willing to store it for us until we find somewhere else to rent/buy. Ashley Bacon’s staff were understanding of the situation and truly did whatever they could do to help, including delivering a new kitchen table top to our friends residence for us. We had to come back to Wisconsin for the time being, and they have been in communication with us and so empathetic to our situation. Seriously such great staff. Just to name a few - customer service rep Sam, salesman William, Trevor, and Shane with the repair service just to name a few! Thank you so much for making a really stressful situation as painless as possible!

My furniture was delivered today by Rick and Steve. It was the high point of the whole process of picking out, buying and receiving furniture. What an asset to your company, both of these guys were quick, professional, And went above and beyond! I will ask for them to deliver my furniture the next time I purchase at Ashley.

The guys did an AMAZING job setting up our new bed and even complimented us on how well it went with our lamps and drawer handles! Very observant!!!

Customer service in the store was good but extremely upset that we were lied to about the warranty protection we purchased. We were skeptical as we were sold a warranty previously for our furniture and It covered absolutely nothing but we were reassured that this warranty offered through Ashley’s covers the things we had concerns about. Well here we are almost a year later attempted to make a claim and got denied for over 18 different things we attempted to claim that we were told would be covered. Called Ashley’s and we were told that because we had a professional cleaning service come out that ruined our couch. BS. We have 3 broken pieces and we were told NOT COVERED. Ashley’s told us they’d charge us $80 to come access damages and give us a quote on repairs. Just another scam by another furniture store. Your furniture is not quality and neither is the warranty you sell people. Just a way to make an upsell and screw people. So sad, We most defiantly will never purchase another thing from ashley’s.

Our sales lady Mary Lou was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately the delivery drivers weren’t friendly. Was very uncomfortable while they were delivering couches. Kept sunglasses on and just throwing the pillows onto the couch. Just didn't feel right.

I am very happy with my new Ralene dining table and also with the delivery services. They showed me how to open and close the butterfly leaf and it arrived in perfect condition with the white glove delivery services.

All good! Just took to long to receive the furniture. I was told 8 weeks and that's what it was. Other than that Ashley Store was great!

We purchased two power recliners. They arrived a week earlier than expected and in excellent shape. Delivery crew was great. We have no complaints. This is our third time buying from here and we’ve had a great experience each time.

Ordered pieces online. Delivered as promised. Instructions said assembly required. There was minimal assembly on 3 pieces & no assembly on the other pieces. The delivery guys were very nice & professional. I would buy again.

We are very pleased with the recently purchased bedroom furniture. The delivery went smoothly, and the men were very efficient. The items looked perfect in the room and were clean and ready to use.

Had a great experience with Ashley from start to finish. To start we were not bombarded with salespeople the second we walked in the door. When we had a question, we easily found a salesperson who not only answered our question but showed us how we could get exactly what we were looking for by combining two products on the floor (bought a fireplace TV stand). The price was on point and even had a fun March Madness basketball game to play in the store to save on shipping! Delivery was within 1 week of placing our order. We received the piece and it is heavy and well-made. Very happy with our purchase. Next time Ashley will be my first stop when furniture shopping. Highly recommend!

Quick, quality work installing our chest of drawers, dining room set and living room set!

Very reasonable, nice delivery staff.

Bought a couch and had 3 service calls for it. They clearly don’t stand behind their products as they won’t issue a credit or replace the couch. Instead want to charge me for parts to keep ”repairing“ it when it’s sagging and has no support and very uncomfortable to sit in. Want me to pay for the materials. The warranty they sell you is useless! They even say if they can’t repair it that’ll replace it. Well, that’s not happening. Don’t shop here. The couch we purchased never looked the same as on the store floor.

Sofa was delivered shrink wrapped crew called me ahead of time, they were clean and professional. They unwrapped the sofa disposed the shrink wrap and brought the sofa into the house and put it in place. NO DAMAGE!!!! Excellent experience

My family has purchased several things from Ashley so I was extremely disappointed when I waited over 2 months for the delivery of a nightstand. They kept saying every week that it was “the week” but it never came. Finally I called to cancel. The manager was extremely rude, never even apologized for the delay. I ordered the exact same nightstand on Amazon for the same price (no delivery charge!) AND it arrived in 2 days! Never going back to this Ashley.

Delivery of our dining room table and chairs by Steve and Jeff was awesome! Both were super nice - and it was a perfect delivery - they took care bringing in all the pieces and putting the large and heavy table together.

**UPDATE** Store manager reached out to apologize after reading review. I was impressed with their immediate response and sincerity. Product delivered broken. Delivery persons agitated it had to be returned. Agitated I asked them not to walk on carpet with dirty shoes. Rude and very unfriendly. Same delivery team when item was replaced. Same exact demeanor 2nd visit. Gave 3 stars because store staff was very accommodating and quickly replaced item. I would be hesitant to order from Ashely again if they use the same delivery team

Two bedroom sets delivered and set up. Jeff and Steven did an awesome job. Helped with the install of floor protectors. Made sure we were happy with the furniture placement. A great couple of guys!

We placed an order at the end of December and we are STILL waiting on the rest of our order. 2 pieces are “in” and the store cannot give us a reasonable ETA. At this point w would have purchased several other items. We understand delays due to unforeseen circumstances but at this point it’s getting absurd. We have no idea when our furniture will be in. No solution and no idea when the issue will be resolved.

So much nice furniture to choose from; we were there almost all afternoon. Bob was very helpful, and fun to visit with, besides.

I ordered furniture in Oct 23 2024 for over 2000 dollars it is now November 25th and the Port Charlotte store has a deposit over 1000 dollars and I have nothing not 1 piece of furniture

Love the items, And Steven the Sales person was very friendly and helpful. What I was disappointed with was that I was emailed and texted a $50 discount but was not able to use it. They tried the code in the store and I also tried ordering only and the code provided to me did not work and I was not able to receive the discount which to me seemed a bit deceiving. I was not happy with that.

Waited since September for a couch that came in December. when the couch arrived I wasn't home to inspect the couch, and when I got home, I called the store for them to pick it up. When the drivers arrived, they said they had to call "Jeff" because there were dirt marks on the couch, I let them know it was there when I was hone. Sales Manager Jeff, told me he's not going to do anything for me, acted very unprofessional, even his delivery drivers were in shock and said he has a temper, that he has minimal interaction with customer because of this. I recorded the whole phone call. He also told me I have to have the WHOLE couch professionally cleaned before he picks it up, which I refused in doing. After the drivers left without taking my furniture, I called Jeff back to let him know I recorded the whole call and will make sure regional management, news, and social media will know of how he decided to conduct business. I also let him know, that his product knowledge was not up to par, because the couch was highly advertised as "high performance" material easy to clean, and only requires water and cloth. He then gave in and accepted my return and said "I have to feel like I am winning in a sense, so please clean off the couch before they pick it up. After the return, I decided to go back and give another shot at ordering the same couch, different color, still in December. I was told by the sales person it would be late Jan of delivery 4-6 weeks. Okay, I was fine. Here we are, I have called every week, was told by end of feb I would be receiving my furniture, and now it's March. I do not recommend going to a franchise Ashley furniture, and will advise to visit the corp store in Sarasota where there is better communication. I was told Wednesday (it's now sat) I will hear from a manager and here we are, still nothing. Every piece of furniture I have in my home is from Ashley furniture. I will no longer order from the Port Charlotte location, will be in touch with a Regional Manager, and high ups on this interaction and processd UPDATE***** - THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO JEFF, THE STORE MANAGERS "OWNERS" COMMENT... NOT SPAM, I FINALLY RECIEVED MY FURNITURE THIS MONTH - AND THE COMPANY REP "JEFF" IS TRYING TO MARK MY REVIEW AS SPAM, DUE TO CALLING OUT HIS POOR PROFESSIONALISM, ALONG WITH HIS CUSTOMER REP. I REPORT THEM TO THE BBB AND RECIEVED A RESPONSE IT WAS SENT TO ASHLEY CORPORATE TODAY FOR REVIEW. I AM POSTING A PICTURE OF MY FURNITURE AND MY FIRST SALES ORDER TO PROVE THIS ISN'T SPAM, BUT JUST JEFF THE STORE MANAGER TRYING TO PROTECT HIS IMAGE. I went back and bought the one I wanted(that's why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1) @ a discount.....well I was supposed to get it this week,I was told...well jokes on me again I should get it around July 9th...I won't hold my breath....Sorry but I WILL NEVER GOT BACK TO THAT STORE EVER AGAIN !...Can't wait to hear the excuses this time/covid/can't get a driver..and they can't blame hurricane ian,which by the way I bought everything in July of that year..NOT after ian..Live and learn I guess?

Today I received delivery of a beautiful sofa. Rod and Joe were the delivery persons. Very polite, didn’t take a lot of time to deliver, but did take a lot of care to ensure my purchase was placed where directed without disturbing any other household furniture. Many thanks.

I found the salesman, who greeted me at the door, to be very welcoming. He took the time to show me what he had that matched what I was looking for. We love the TV stand we purchased for our large TV. The Ashley store also had great prices compared to other furniture stores in the area. Next time I am looking for furniture, I will start with Ashley. Linda, who works at the checkout desk at the Port Charlotte store, was so pleasant and helpful with our delivery set up. Then, we had the nicest men (Chris & Tristan) deliver our furniture. It could not have been a better experience.

My wife and I were in twice to look at sofa beds, we talked to a man named Will both times. He is the best, patient, listens to what potential customers are looking for and shows them everything available in the showroom, even looks up items if they aren't on the showroom to see if they are available to order for them. Ashley needs to know what a great representative they have for the company in Will. Any time I need furniture in the future I will give Ashley and Will 1st look. Will was one of the best representatives of a company we have met in many, many years. Hang on to him, he is an asset to your store.

I needed to furnish my new home in Florida, and the team at Ashley Furniture was great to work with. Todd in Sales helped us pick out the right things, and on delivery day, Jett and Tristian did a GREAT job bringing everything in and assembling it. Nice selection

Todd was great with helping us pick out our console table. He was patient and not pushy. I even sent him a bunch of item numbers to look up after I left the store and he looked them up all for me. The store has so many options being not only an Ashley furniture store.

Grace was very honest and not just trying to sell a product. She helped me with good ideas.

Chris & Tristian just delivered our table, and everything was fantastic! They treated us & our house with respect. We had one chair that was incorrectly sent & Chris handled the situation & will have the correct one delivered. Thank you Chris & Tristian!

Met Will at the Port Charlotte Florida store. He guided me to the furniture item section that I needed and answered all of my questions. After checking with another local store for the same product, I returned to the Ashley store, found Will made a seamless purchase. For the price and the service, I believe I made the right choice.

Well what can I say? The doors were unlocked and soon as we walked in we’re were greated with eyrolls because we asked a few questions. I said how late are you open till and he said 6pm and he goes it 5:58pm I go oh ok well we need a new couch and dinner table and set along with a coffee table and end tables and a entertainment stand. I was approved for 20k in credit and No one wanted to help me complete a huge sale. I never felt so uncomfortable and my business unwanted before. So instead of the guy being friendly and maybe staying for a few because I told him we had a huge purchase and we work till 5, and with traffic it’s hard to get into Ashley’s when they close at 6 everyday. We are taking our business and plan to spend 10k at another furniture if not more seeing we were looking into buying a bed as well. There loss is someone else’s gain and I can’t wait to help someone who truly cares for people make a commission. I will never do business here and have new friends moving to the area and will latest them clear as well. Horrible policy they have and the service clearly isn’t top notch!!

My wife purchased a mattress for me while I was in hospital. It was promised for delivery around Friday or earlier. It is NowSunday, no mattress and no communication as to when or if delivery will occur. At the pre-paid price I authorized, I consider such service unacceptable.

I purchased a recliner / loveseat from Lynn this afternoon. Lynn was helpful in finding a suitable recliner at a reasonable price. She also arranged for delivery. Satisfied customer.

We have shopped at Bacon Furniture for years. We have always purchased solid wood furniture which can be hard to find. Our salesman Ron has always been courteous and pleasant.

Every time we've visited Ashley's we have experienced prompt, courteous service from the staff. Javier today was a great example. And the prices are quite good.

Salesman was gracious, answered our questions, showed us what we wanted to see and did not pressure us at all.

Shopped for bar stools and found what we were looking for, which we discovered was not easy after having gone to a half dozen other furniture stores.

Great salesman but terrible delivery time still waiting on recliner ordered late January We knew it was expected second week of February now it’s second week of March we are very disappointed in their shipping department. Saving grace of this place is their sales staff

Needed a new mattress. Went in no one bothered us. We laid down on several beds that were on display. Decided which one we wanted and found a salesperson walking in the store and lucky for us there was one in the warehouse. We drove home with our new mattress that very day!
