This store operates with deception and lies. Veteran's should avoid this store. Look at the Google reviews, review the Better Business Bureau reviews, and look to see how many lawsuits have been filed against the company before you walk in this store. Please go to a furniture store with a better reputation. I am a disabled vet who bought two twin mattresses and two adjustable bases on the advice of two physicians in August, 2025. During the transaction, two items were discussed with the sales manager and salesperson: 1. Can the taxes be refunded if I provide a statement of need from a physician? (other more reputable companies offer this); and 2. Does the interest free financing have a promotional fee? The answer to the first question was yes, but it is processed after the sale. The answer to the second question was no, there is currently a promotion where the promotional fees are waived. Using this information, I elected to proceed with the sale. When reviewing the financing document that I was expected to sign, it clearly stated that there would be a 2% financing fee. This was dismissed by the manager, Wesley, as "the terms had not been updated yet since it was a new promotion". I elected to not sign the financing agreement and made the $6600.00 purchase with my credit card. Two days later, I submitted two prescriptions from two different board-certified physicians. After 1 month of hearing nothing from Ashley, I e-mailed Wesley who told me that the sales tax refund was denied and that Ashley did not provide a reason. After I requested the reason, Wesley e-mailed me stating that he would get this information and he would refund the $400.00 via the Ashley finance office. He further wrote that the refund would show up on my credit card statement in 7 days. After 3 weeks and no refund I went to the store to see Wesley. He produced and forwarded me a single line statement on my "account" that the claim was paid on October 1st. It was not, so he opened another "case". After 2 weeks, I called customer service, and they told me they had the case and it would be paid in two days. After two weeks, it still was not paid. Another call to customer service revealed the case was closed due to the store manager not sending in the required information. This person, Kaylyn, who represented Ashley Furniture leadership, sent me a blank e-mail so I could provide her all of the e-mails I had. This was done with the request that she confirm receipt. After two e-mails, she had not acknowledged receipt of this information. Another call to customer service ended up being received by Ashley customer service reps in the Philippines, which was a waste of time as I couldn't understand them. Ashley states that before filing a lawsuit, you have to go through their "Complaint Resolution Process". What do you think the outcome of that will be or of my motivation to do so given their evasive performance to date. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I will be writing to the Florida AG. The Ashley store in Sarasota operates with no integrity nor do they care as long as they make the sale. I do believe that this is a systemic philosophy that is pervasive throughout the organization. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Screwed up order and wife has spent hours going around and around to different departments on the phone. Tried to contact store manager two days in a row. "Oh they will call you back.". Nope. Shop elsewhere.

Staff are very knowledgeable. The sofa we wanted wasn’t available to see on the floor so we decided to just purchase it sight unseen and were very happy with the sofa and the delivery and the set up. What you can’t see from the online photos is that this sofa has stitching which I think gives it a more casual look. Very comfy though.
