Kevin was our salesman in the Sarasota store. My mom & I appreciated the fact that he respected our space while getting situated at the entrance where we saw a wheelchair for her to sit in which was very considerate of the store! It enabled us to see the whole store. Kevin wasn’t over bearing, he reads people very well, asked the right questions, only showed us what we were looking for while suggesting options & didn’t follow us around. But was always there at the right time! Kevin was very informative, professional, dressed for success and really smells nice! We planned on going to several places, this was our first & only stop. Checking out was easy and swift. Hats off to Kevin for putting up with us & making it pleasant and enjoyable!

Beautiful store, well laid out and spotless. Furniture is well placed and signs that direct you to your style.

Great shopping experience at Ashley, looking for a kitchen table. Large selection. Jim Hinchcliffe worked at getting us what we were looking for and arranging delivery.

It's been a very disappointing experience! Ordered a four piece couch. Was supposed to get two sections within a week and other two a couple weeks later. Did not happen that way. Got three sections at the latest date and fourth piece is on back order for THREE months now. My experience with Rooms To Go was so much better. Last time Ashley gets my business.

Ashley does not stand by their extended warrenty. Do not buy an extended warranty from Ashley. There is no store support and the warranty company does everything they can to not provide the service.

I love the furniture but was disappointed that the plug did not fit in our plug on the floor. Also the salesman assured me both sofas would work on 1 plug so I wouldn’t see the cord but that was not true

The only positive to my experience was with the manager, Shawn. If not for him, I would have canceled each part of my order. From salesperson mistakes, lack of follow up, lack of communication, trying to deal with the national level, broken delivery dates, wrong deliveries and a lack of answers, I feel that my experience was lacking any stars. Beware. Deal with Shawn directly, or shop elsewhere.

Phone service sucks with computer questions than can't understand person on other side of the call. (lousy English) strongly thinking of cancelling order with them.

Customer service is poor. Broken dresser arrive and I have to take pictures wait 30 minutes on a customer service call.

Quality of the product is OK (depending of the product and of course this is a cheaper store compared with others), the more annoying part of the experience is when you have your items delivered, they have a policy (no disclosed in store) that once you accept the product you can't return it. They should disclose that before you buy. It took several interactions with the customer service to get them schedule a repair of a coffee table that was dented on arrival.

Ashley’s Customer service department and policies are an absolute mess. And DO NOT BUY a Nectar mattress from them. Buy from the manufacturer website. Long story short, save the headache of dealing with them as the middleman and actually be able to use the 365 day trial period. Nectar’s trial period on their website allows you to return a mattress before 365 days is up. Ashley furniture refused a return and said my only option was an exchange. Ashley’s “policy” (that is not communicated to you at any point during the sale) is that if there’s any price credit between the mattresses you select, you can only use it in the bedding department. This meant I would have had to spend $700 on pillows as their only resolution they offered to me. This policy parroted to me by every customer service representative, though no one could point me to where this was posted or communicated to me in the purchase process. Three different reps neglected to add notes in their system on calls that I had made as well. I had updated this to be two stars from a one star after finally getting ahold of a Gio, a helpful supervisor in the customer service department, but then put it back to one star after I arrived to the store to find that Gio didn’t actually put the notes from our call into the system. I had to start all over again at the store, to be told again by a different rep in customer service that “I don’t know who Gio is, this is our “policy” (inset bedding department restriction BS), I don’t know anyone here that would tell you that” and accused me of lying. Sean, the general manager was so kind and did everything he could to help me, but Ashley’s compartmentalized organization and disorganized customer service prevented Sean from being able to help without customer service authorization. Sean placed a call to them to get authorization and they said they needed to speak with me, and again gave me the same “policy” BS. Once I finally got through to a supervisor (40 minutes later) who could see the ridiculous and dishonest nature of their policy, and that I was not backing down, I finally got them to come to an amenable resolution with me, and made sure that they put the notes in the system where Sean could see them before hanging up. This was the worst battle with any customer service of my entire lifetime. Period.

Horrible. They canceled my order and never called to tell me. On the day of delivery i called what was supposed to be the store number and was told the item had been discontinued, I had been given a store credit and when would I like to go back in and get a different recliner? Really?! Big run around. Told i would have to cancel the order and it would take 2-5 days. Will never go back.

Poor experience! I found a chair and ottoman and asked the salesman if there were any sales going on. He said, no but he works on commission and could give me a 10% discount. I asked if they had any military discounts and he said yes, 5%. He said, “which you prefer the 10% or 5%” in a very fast talking condescending tone. I told him I was hoping to stay under a certain amount then he said he could give me the online discount. There was indeed a lower sale price online. I told him I would think about it and asked if I could just call and purchase over the phone instead of coming back. He said he would just email me the purchase info and would provide a link to pay online. I received the email without a code. I left him a message about not receiving the link. He called me back and asked if I was certain I was buying it, I said I wasn’t completely sure yet (twice). He sounded very annoyed and said the link would expire that night and he would have to resend it again if I chose not to buy it then. I said that’s fine. He called me at 8:30 pm asking me if I was purchasing and I told him no. He pretty much hung up on me. Sadly, I would have purchased the furniture if I had been treated with a little more respect.

Two gentlemen were punctual, in fact, 15 minutes early, polite.When setting up the queen bed, very efficient with no mess afterwards….setting up the bed and out the door in 20 minutes. Thank you. Tony

This store operates with deception and lies. Veteran's should avoid this store. Look at the Google reviews, review the Better Business Bureau reviews, and look to see how many lawsuits have been filed against the company before you walk in this store. Please go to a furniture store with a better reputation. I am a disabled vet who bought two twin mattresses and two adjustable bases on the advice of two physicians in August, 2025. During the transaction, two items were discussed with the sales manager and salesperson: 1. Can the taxes be refunded if I provide a statement of need from a physician? (other more reputable companies offer this); and 2. Does the interest free financing have a promotional fee? The answer to the first question was yes, but it is processed after the sale. The answer to the second question was no, there is currently a promotion where the promotional fees are waived. Using this information, I elected to proceed with the sale. When reviewing the financing document that I was expected to sign, it clearly stated that there would be a 2% financing fee. This was dismissed by the manager, Wesley, as "the terms had not been updated yet since it was a new promotion". I elected to not sign the financing agreement and made the $6600.00 purchase with my credit card. Two days later, I submitted two prescriptions from two different board-certified physicians. After 1 month of hearing nothing from Ashley, I e-mailed Wesley who told me that the sales tax refund was denied and that Ashley did not provide a reason. After I requested the reason, Wesley e-mailed me stating that he would get this information and he would refund the $400.00 via the Ashley finance office. He further wrote that the refund would show up on my credit card statement in 7 days. After 3 weeks and no refund I went to the store to see Wesley. He produced and forwarded me a single line statement on my "account" that the claim was paid on October 1st. It was not, so he opened another "case". After 2 weeks, I called customer service, and they told me they had the case and it would be paid in two days. After two weeks, it still was not paid. Another call to customer service revealed the case was closed due to the store manager not sending in the required information. This person, Kaylyn, who represented Ashley Furniture leadership, sent me a blank e-mail so I could provide her all of the e-mails I had. This was done with the request that she confirm receipt. After two e-mails, she had not acknowledged receipt of this information. Another call to customer service ended up being received by Ashley customer service reps in the Philippines, which was a waste of time as I couldn't understand them. Ashley states that before filing a lawsuit, you have to go through their "Complaint Resolution Process". What do you think the outcome of that will be or of my motivation to do so given their evasive performance to date. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I will be writing to the Florida AG. The Ashley store in Sarasota operates with no integrity nor do they care as long as they make the sale. I do believe that this is a systemic philosophy that is pervasive throughout the organization. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Screwed up order and wife has spent hours going around and around to different departments on the phone. Tried to contact store manager two days in a row. "Oh they will call you back.". Nope. Shop elsewhere.

My fiancé and I have gone through several furniture stores looking for a bedroom set. Everybody had either white, black or an artificial tan looking. We both loved the real look wood in the color that matched the baseboard that he had stained and varnished.

First the General Manager of the showroom has no business in leadership. He’s arrogant, cocky, rude, and lacks all leadership skills. A personnel complaint has been filed and I will be speaking with his boss ensuring the most severe disciplinary consequences are faced. He has no business serving the general public. An absolute embarrassment! As a result of his extraordinary terrible leadership I was misinformed, misguided, and not sold correct or compatible items. I will work this out with Corporate but if you can avoid Sarasota store at all costs and try somewhere else. I’ve been buying furniture from Ashley longer than that Manager has been alive and he, on his own may have ruined me to Ashley for life. Sad! Update on post. October 25, 2025. Customer service filed formal personnel complaint against this “Showroom General Manager” and his boss will be calling next week to discuss my issues and how I seek to have it resolved. Because of him Customer Service issued a full refund for the item this person and his salesman screwed up which should impact his sales numbers. I was then referred to the Brandon, Florida location where the service was amazing further making the Sarasota manager look like he doesn’t belong. Not to mention I got the correct items with a huge discount and free delivery on my timeline. When this Sarasota manager loses his job, he can only blame his own cocky ego. Teach this store a lesson and go to a different one. Other stores will give better service and take care of their customers unlike this unqualified person. Disgusting that I had to go through this but Kudos to the rest of the organization for realizing how bad Sarasota leadership is and doing what was right when he failed!

We purchased a table and had it delivered and installed. 2 men arrived that did not answer to the names we were given. I should have refused delivery right then. They were pushy and in a hurry. They then installed the tables legs backwards didn’t understand, the table was scratched they didn’t care. They left our front door open and let trash blow down our street. We have contacted this store, customer services, delivery services and the warranty department and no one cares or has any solutions for us. We dnt know what to do next. This is ridiculous.

The sales people are like sharks just waiting for you to enter the door. But super great people. An enjoyable experience with just the right amount of interaction.

Good furniture

I bought a dresser for my apartment. It gets delivered and they are missing parts and left the torn box in my room and said it will be done in a few days. The parts weren’t suppose to get here till 9/13 over three weeks after it got dropped off. After some phone calls they were able to bring the dresser today. We paid for it to be put together and after waiting 3 hours after orginal drop off it wasn’t even put together. Just a new dresser dropped off in a box and put in my room. Update they just said they won’t build this piece even though we paid for it to be built. Their a terrible company no wonder there are so many 1 star reveiws

Jim was awesome - on a tight schedule got the majority of our house set up in an afternoon, and worked to get a delivery schedule that worked for us.

After being pressured into buying the extended protection, plan for furniture in 2021… Never filed a furniture claim before in my life, one broken knob that disintegrated on its own, impossible to find a match, I would’ve just bought one, of course, out of all things that are covered supposedly that is not covered as it is hardware not a piece of the furniture… A three dollar knob!… Don’t ever waste your time getting protection plans, they will never cover anything. **** UPDATE ****They sent me a very nice email saying that knob was covered… Call this number… Spent another 40 minutes on the phone just to tell me it is not covered… Why would they insist on wasting my time is beyond me… If I could get an exact match. I would just buy the three dollar knob

Worst experience ever! Do not buy from Ashley’s furniture! They are so extremely incompetent! There delivery department stated I get a 12 to 3 time slot and I do not have another option. When I stated that would not work, he said that’s the only time so we have Monday through Friday. Take it or leave it so I told him I wanted to cancel my order they sent me two cancellations. They offered me a $500 discount said that they would email me verification never emailed me the verification Then she scheduled me for Saturday which. Was not an option, but when I tried to cancel it, all of a sudden was an option. They scheduled us for Saturday. And 3 PM we are in the middle of a move and put off our U-Haul because of this appointment that they made and now it is two hours past the time we have talked to their so-called dispatcher and the driver who cannot speak English multiple times and now they’re telling us that they have already delivered our furniture. Buyer beware do not buy from Ashley‘s furniture. It is an absolute nightmare when it comes to delivery. We will definitely be taking our business elsewhere.

I went in to the Sarasota store with my girls and walked around sitting on sofas for about 30 minutes before anyone bothered to greet us. Not coming to us but Glenn was walking by and asked if we were being helped. After speaking with him briefly about what we were looking for he was all in and gave us his undivided attention. He was kind courteous and listened to our needs and took us exactly where we needed to go. We decided on a specific sofa set which he was kind enough to discuss our options delivery and how to move forward. No pushy sales gimmicks just kindness and understanding. Glenn is an absolute asset to your sales team!!! Everything you need without pushing a sale. KUDOS ***** GREAT JOB!

This Sarasota store has horrible Horrible customer service. We were sent the wrong pieces of furniture and have been hassled trying to get the correct pieces ordered and sent. The sales manager Jocelyn horrible to work with, not friendly and does not care at all about customer service. I've been getting the runaround between the Sarasota store and the customer service contact. When I call customer service they tell me the sales manager which is Jocelyn has to email them the okay. Jocelyn told me 2 days ago that she emailed them which she did not. Talking to customer service again today. They still have not received anything from her. This runaround is totally unnecessary for a customer to have to go through this.

I have to say Jim at this location is absolutely amazing. His customer service is top notch and he is so knowledgeable. I will buy here just because of him. Very appreciative.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE experience: -Sunday 7/27 My wife and I planned on going in together this Sunday night but she got called in to the hospital. I went alone and was greeted by Kevin. We walked around for about 45 minutes and built a shopping cart of approx $10k in furniture. I told him from the start my wife would be in the day after to review the cart but these are the items she wanted. But yet, when I told him I would see him tomorrow with the wife, he was visibly frustrated that I did not complete the transaction. -Monday 7/28 Wife and I go in and quickly review the cart. She makes a few changes which frustrates Kevin but we complete the transaction. We were with Kevin for approximately 30 minutes. -Tuesday 7-29 I meet my wife there after work as we wanted to take measurements of something we purchased (wasn’t online). Kevin seemed extremely frustrated that we were back again. I told Kevin there was no need to waste his time accompanying us and her and I walked the store solo which is what we wanted. He immediately goes up to a co worker. Dwayne, and I see Dwayne roll his eyes and they began to talk smack. We got our measurements and left. -Wednesday 7/30. We went in with the purpose of adding $3600. of furniture to our order that we saw the day before while walking the store (even though we didn’t think they deserved our further buisness, one delivery from one store would be easier) Dwayne literally walks up to us and says “Kevin is not here and neither is a manager, so whatever you all want to cancel, it will have to wait.” LOL. We walked to the counter and demanded someone just cancel our entire order. Naomi helped us and was terrific!! Naomi = 5 stars. Kevin and Dwayne, you all should not be in customer service, especially sales. You both are a disgrace to Ashley Furniture -

See Lucas if you go to this location !! Great customer service. He was able to do what he could on his end to assist us with a major issue we had with a couch we purchased. My fiancé + I came in a few Saturdays ago + purchased a Bressalyn Place 2 piece Left facing sectional. SHARON was our sales person (regrettably) She made us aware that it was her 5th day on the job. After we applied for the Ashley card/finance program, she placed our order. She asked us about 10 times if we wanted the sectional the way it was shown on the sales floor to which we said no we wanted it left facing which would put the long side on the left. She kept having to step away to go ask her manager if she was doing things correctly. The manager came over at one point to ask us the same question we had been asked over and over. Before we had placed the order Sharon was recommending rugs and all kinds of other stuff. I get that they are in sales but please order what your customer wants CORRECTLY before suggesting all kinds of other stuff they aren't interested in. It was clear she didnt have proper training because she had to step away at least 5 times to ask the manager questions. The manager should of walked her through the entire sale. We got our couch delivered today. We have 1 long left chaise & 1 long right chaise.. NO middle seats & the right chaise is way too long for the area. This isnt even a formation the couch can be complete in as the middle seats are connected to the shorter chaise side. We have family members flying in tonight & we have 2 chaise that 2 people can lay down on. We called customer care and the store multiple times to which they kept BOTH giving us a run around. We had to drive 40 minutes to the store & luckily got Lucas who called an urgent help line. The most ridiculous part of all of this is that we have to wait 48 hours for a phone call or email for the replacement piece then set up a delivery time for them to deliver the piece we need & take back the piece we dont need. We weren't offered a discount or money back even though this is CLEARLY the stores fault. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. The only silver lining was Lucas went above and beyond to help us get some resolution even though it is by no means accommodating to us. We used PTO day for this & will have to use another to deal with this BS. It is really unfortunate that Sharon who messed up our order made commission off us but that should be transferred to Lucas as he is the hero of the day. MANAGERS- TRAIN YOUR STAFF. on their 5th day & first order , a manager should be shadowing them & reviewing the orders before they are submitted. This will be the first and last time we ever use Ashley Furniture. To not accommodate your customers better after a sales persons mistake is unacceptable.

⭐ 1-Star Review: Reguard & Ashley Furniture — Total Scam! I’m extremely disappointed with Ashley Furniture and their so-called “Reguard Protection Plan” — this has been nothing short of a scam. I paid $300 for the furniture protection plan, thinking it would actually protect my investment. months ago — while my store warranty was still active — I called Reguard to fix a damaged sofa. They claimed they would send a package to help fix it, and then made me wait for months with no resolution.Also never been responsible for what they said would fix on the plan. Now that I followed up, Ashley Furniture tells me “you should have called sooner” and that they can’t help anymore because the store warranty expired. But I DID call the Reguard protection plan company that Ashley’s asked me to call and also the warranty was still valid when i called them. They just pushed me off until the warranty ran out. It’s a shady and deceptive system — between Ashley Furniture and Reguard, they’re just hoping you give up. Avoid this protection plan. Avoid the lies. This is how they take your money and do nothing.

Ask for Kevin at the Sarasota florida store..... he's amazing and he will work his magic for a win-win. We love our new sofa, dining table and chairs and our mattress... couldn't be happier worth his service!

If I could give this store a ZERO I would. I recently relocated to Florida. Prior to my relocation I opened an account with Ashley. I tried to order my items online but because they never mailed the card, I was forced to go to the store. I worked with the store manager Wes. He assured me that my furniture would be delivered on the 19th. On the 19th, I received a call telling me that the truck broke down and my deliver window would be pushed back an hour. I called the store, customer and customer at least 15 times after my order window was missed. I was assured my items would arrive. I waited until 10::00pm and nothing was delivered. I also spoke to the driver who told me his truck did not break down. ( lie #1) The next day I called the store furious. Wes was unapologetic and showed no concern for what happened. After treating to come to the store, he told me that my items were on the truck for delivery on the 20th. My items did not arrive and I found out that they weren’t even on the truck( lie#2) I finally spoke to a competent, caring person in the delivery department, who not only personally arranged the delivery for Saturday , she also waived the $299 delivery fee. On the 21st my furniture finally arrived. Shortly after the delivery person, whose helper looked like he just crawled out of bed, arrived, he broke my son’s BRAND NEW TV that was just delivered the week before. It is now July 16th and I still have not been reimbursed for the replacement of the tv and all I keep getting is the run around. I will be taking legal action!!! If you are considering this store RUN!!!

Very poor service. Absolutely no one greeted us walking in, walked past 6-7 sales people who wouldn't even look at us. When I did have a question it was a pain to get someone and they wouldn't even try to help us. Little do they know I had 5k in my pocket ready to burn on a couch. I'll never go back.

Luke Skywalker was absolutely amazing! He did an incredible job helping us get the furniture we wanted for our new home. Nichole was a rockstar assisting us as well. We will recommend everyone to come see Luke and Nichole for any furniture they need.

When looking for a small chair for my bedroom, the salesman whose name I didn’t get I’m sorry it was very good. Very nice very helpful very polite and made shopping a breeze.

My husband and I have never had such a bad experience with a furniture store before. Specifically, this Sarasota Ashley location. It all started when about 10 days before moving into our new house they told us our order had been cancelled?! Their billing department supposedly flagged our card for fraud because the billing and shipping information did not match, which is understandable I guess. However, they failed to let us know this in a timely manner and so we had to scramble to repurchase the items. Mind you, this was not an easy process. We had to do a completely new order and they told us some things would now be delayed. Luckily, they found a way to deliver most items on time, but the card used is now backlisted from their corporate stores. After that debacle, they then delivered damaged furniture on THREE different occasions. One being fault of the delivery crew, the others due to poor inspection prior to delivery. The first time, the solution was to send out a “technician”. We said absolutely not considering the damage and the fact that we paid almost $6,000 for furniture (I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect quality condition furniture when you spend this much money). Anyways, we requested they send brand new items and the saga continued…. The second time they delivered, they used a different “white glove” delivery service team, where the furniture was already outside of its box in the actual truck upon arrival (some white glove service right there). The the furniture was also damaged once again. Even the delivery person told us not to accept the order. On another note, one of the items they delivered was a self assemble, but we were told the delivery crew would assemble it for us on 3 different occasions. Of course, it never was. Therefore, we wanted to return it because we decided we would just order something that is more simple to assemble especially because we are busy with my husband starting a new job and having a newborn. During the course of this we had been in contact with Wesley Howard, the general manager, who ghosted us and stopped responding altogether (via phone and email) instead of trying to help find a solution and resolve the issue. Not sure how a manager of an establishment is unable to deal with conflict, but I digress. Every time we called the store we were told the manager was “busy” and would call us back. This rarely happened, if ever. This is after speaking with Jocelyn, the store manager, and Naomi, a sales rep on multiple occasions. The customer service line also sucks and kept hanging up on us after having us on hold for 30+ mins each time. That being said, we had to waste weekend time and drive an hour to Sarasota with a small baby in the car and a dog at home because they would not respond in order for us to make a return. All we wanted was a resolution and to not have to deal with this store anymore. Plus, get rid of the one large box of furniture that was sitting in our hallway for weeks. My husband even came out of the store with a dolly and brought it in himself since they are quite literally helpless.

We went into the store for the second day looking for dining room sets. We were totally unsure of what we wanted, needless to say confused. Cortlin met us at the door and the first thing he asked after we told him we were just looking was “. What does the room look like you are buying for?” We have never had anyone spend as much time with us analyzing our room. This was a tremendous help. He moved furniture, brought different options and finally helped us decide on what made sense. We bought a dining room set and a buffet table. Cortlin cared enough to take time. Thank you so much!! See pictures of my new leather Amiata chaise sofa on my Yelp review. The leather started “puddling” a week after we had it. Looks super cheap! I have to place blankets and pillows on it to distract from the quality. Although Ashley Furniture says they take my concerns “very seriously”, after 8 months on a loop of repetitive emails with Glory and the main CSM, they haven’t actually started to resolved this. So, no they don’t take issues seriously. Please enjoy the photos of my expensive ugly sofa from Ashley Furniture. Too bad for me.

They don't have option of modern dinning set, for example with crystal tables only a few tables all of them wood and horrible. They have to offer more selection of dinning set

The help I got from the store sales person was great but I regret my decision of contacting your online customer service department. I purchased 2 items by mistake, I sent them back to the warehouse with the delivery people on Saturday and I was told I was going to get a refund for them (boxes closed). On Monday afternoon I got an email notification stating that I was going to receive the items I sent back. I contracted the CS team and they had no clue of what I was taking about, I explained again what the issue was and they told me that the order had not been canceled so they had to cancel the order and then try to process my refund. I also have been told that someone is going to call me to check how things are going with the delivery and nobody has called. I am expecting the refund of the items I sent back.

STAY AWAY!!! I would give 0 stars if I could. This location deals in bad faith and makes you the paying customer or potential customer feel like you were in the wrong and the problem. My wife and I were in the store looking at couches and we were working with one of their sales people Dewane. We found a couch that we liked and started talking about price. He mentioned that sometimes it’s cheaper to get their pieces online so we decided to wait to purchase and check the online prices. So far so good. We noticed the out the door price would be WAY cheaper online. I gave Dewane a call and let him know that we found it online and it would be way cheaper $3263. Being in sales myself I wanted to give him an opportunity to earn our business and let him know if he could take an additional 250$ off the couch and make the price 3k even out the door he would earn our business and we would get it from him vs going online which wouldn’t benefit him or that stores location. He said he needed to call his manager and he would let me know. He gave me a call back and said that his sales manager said he could do it for 3k out the door which was roughly only 250$ cheaper than the out the door online price for a couch over 3k. We were excited but he said that he was off the next day and the store had already closed that day and we can do the transaction the following day from his off day which brings us to today Saturday May 17th 2025. After a little phone tag we finally connected and he let me know that the price was going to be 3,000 plus tax which made the couch almost the same exact price as online out the door. This was not what we talked about or agreed to over the phone. We specifically said it would be 3k out the door since the online out the door price was 3260$. He then said that’s not what we talked about or agreed to and my wife was present for both calls and can attest to him lying and now saying something completely different. I am a man of principle and this really bothers me it’s more than just $250 it’s about character and right from wrong. I then asked to speak to the store manager Wes. This was where it got worse. Wes basically came on the phone and said that his employee didn’t do anything wrong and that it was my fault for not understanding and that I misinterpreted the conversation with Dewane (ones he was never even a part of or present for). He never once apologized for his employees actions and didn’t try to rectify the situation at all. He basically just kept repeating himself saying I was Misunderstanding. If my employee had done what Dewane did I would have apologized on my employees behalf and tried to find a solution which was not done in this case. There was a verbal agreement at a specific price point and then straight up lied to saying that’s not what was discussed. It doesn’t even make sense why would I wait 3 days to buy a couch from a sales rep that I could get online for the same exact price basically. The whole point of negotiating another 250$ off the online out the door price was for Dewane and that store to earn a customer but now they definitely lost a forever customer and a lot of others as I will be telling a lot of folks through my social following to stay away. Very surprised Wes is a store manager with such little sales acumen and lack of empathy for their customers and this specific situation at hand. Will definitely be going to corporate with this. You’d think a large corporation like Ashley Furniture would rather just do what they agreed to and take off another 250$ and have a happy customer then to lie and then make you seem like you are the problem and now lose a customer forever and most likely now several others as I have tons of friends and family in the area who are also moving and will be needing furniture. O stars for sure. Hopefully someone reaches out and try’s to make things right. If not City furniture it is.

Ashley online, horrible delivery!! Delivered 1/2 a sectional and the crew had no tools to put together. Promised 2nd 1/2 next day....now waiting over a week for it. No apology, no phone call. I had to find out my sofa wasn't coming by calling them multiple times for updates.

He helped me find a tape measure to ensure the bed would fit in the room and gave information about color choices. We did locate the patio furniture as well. Because the patio furniture was delayed a small bit he did the orders separately so the bed would ship immediately. We decided on a dining table and couch as well. He was friendly and joking where appropriate. I would recommend this location and Johnny to anyone looking for any piece of furniture. Johnny is a true gem keep him around !

Could not be happier..easy shopping great delivery team!

We purchased a dining room set from this store on March 6th. Delivery set up for March 11th between 8:00 AM and Noon. I received an automated call delivery day at 6:19 AM that the guys were on their way. Fortunately I had just got up. They arrived just less than 30 minutes later at 6:43 AM. In the dark. For the delivery scheduled for NO EARLIER than over an over later. No doubt they woke the neighbors with unloading banging and letting their truck run the entire time they were there assembling the furniture. The delivery driver said he didn't know delivery wasn't before 8:00 AM. Yea, sure. At least I think that's what he said as he was hard to understand. And they left some Styrofoam packing material behind after paying $299.99 for Ashley's "No Hassle Delivery + Assembly" where "packing materials will be removed." Apparently our delivery isn't abnormal. Another review a month ago by "MartinA" said his Mother's recliner was delivered 2 hours early @ 7:30 AM and it was left in the hallway in a box. The Ashley comment to that post was "We'll work to improve that aspect." It must still be in work. Last purchase ever from Ashley.

After greeting when 1st walked in, associates gave us time and space to wander through store and when i decuded on table and chairs he took time to explain everything re purchase and their really great store policy and brought within my budget. I will def use for further purchases. Gentleman who helped us was jhinchliffe and he adressed my hesitations and i was very comfortable and happy with purchase when i left.

First, Shannon (I hope I spelled your name correctly) is why I am leaving this review. Second, she addressed the issue professionally and efficiently, and it was a pleasure to talk to her. She contacted us promptly. She fixed everything that went wrong, and here is the story: We bought a dining room set, one table with six chairs. We paid the salesperson, and the person said that all the paperwork will be emailed to us. The order email never came, but we got text messages on the delivery. On delivery, they brought two tables and one chair. Not what we bought. The delivery crew called their office and created a claim, and took back the extra table and stated that they will come back with the missing five chairs. Also, said that I would hear back from Ashley within 72 hours. Time came and went, no one contacted us. Long story short, we called the Ashley no less than half a dozen times, and had to cancel two additional deliveries of the one table. Since we had no luck with customer service, we went back to the store and left our number for some one to call us back to fix the order. We got a call back from Shannon. She was able to find out that the order was entered incorrectly, thus we were not getting the correct item delivered. She worked diligently for days to fix the order and was finally able to get us the correct items. In conclusion, there are numerous furniture stores in the area, I was almost at the point that I will never shop Ashley again. However, Shannon proved that Ashley can solve customer issues, and keep them going back with confidence that if there is an issue they will make it right. Awesome job by Shannon! Thank you!

I bought a dresser mirror nightstand and two end tables. The products are great and the delivery was very well communicated. The guys put my furniture together quickly and efficiently. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because they left a mess behind for me to cleanup.

Made an order and was told they would be delivered in a week. Got delayed again and got a email saying items are on hold. Called them and got the things resolved and scheduled another delivery date to get it delivered. Another week rolled up and same thing once again. Took days off from work to be home to receive my items. Just Ridiculous!! Got the email items were on hold. Gave them 3 chances and same thing so I could have my furniture delivered but got nothing. Poor service to be honest! Was my first time ordering anything from them and never again will I be doing that.

In May 2020 we bought a Power controlled recliner loveseat, and bought the protection plan for five years. September 2024 the one motor went out on the power recliner. I called the warranty company ,they ordered part but I received the wrong part. I have been calling the Ashley store and the warranty company but I am getting nowhere to get a different part ordered . The warranty companies said Ashley has to approve the order and Ashley tells me I have to call the warranty company back and tell them it’s OK to order the part. I spent another 55 minutes on the phone today and finally they just put me on hold and never came back. I will NEVER Do business with Ashley again and would not recommend them. Poor customer service. 4/19/25 Just to add a comment about my complaint and the owner‘s response. I immediately sent the email as directed by the store owner but have not heard one word from anyone. In the meantime, I still have a broken recliner with no help from Ashley furniture store. I would not waste another dime on Ashley furniture.

Salesman ordered incorrect size mattress for which I’m still awaiting refund. Although delivery and assembly of bed frame was smooth, there was a small hole in wood frame. The staff was super helpful and friendly, making the shopping experience easy. The only downside was the delivery—it showed up almost two hours early at 7:30 A.M. and was left in the hallway in the box. Overall, though, we’re happy with the purchase!

Had a horrific experience dealing with the Ashley furniture sarasota. They were slimy and tried to trick us at any chance they got. They sold us fake deals and didn’t work with us when our original couch didn’t fit in out apartment. The biggest issue was them trying to steal our money. They told us they refunded our accounts from the couch that didn’t fit and sure enough the refunded some of it but not all of it. It took over a month, multiple trips to the store, endless phone calls just to get the rest of our money. We decided to purchase a second couch in the midst of all of that because we needed furniture. They charged us the amount of the second couch and a few days later tan the card again and charged us the full amount twice. Make sure you check your statements after dealing with them. Would not recommend. Try to avoid Ashley furniture at all costs.

Lost part of our order after shipping a part of it with fedex. No tracking number, nobody has answers for where the item is. No answers for when it can be replaced.

Jose S. Helped us purchase a new couch today. He greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, introduced himself and said let him know if we have any questions. Jose came to check on us, gave us all the details on one we liked, and even helped us measure to see if it would fit for us. He explained the deals they had going on, and even printed out a quote for us. This was our first stop, so we wanted to look at a few other stores before making a decision. Well, we came back about 30 minutes later after another sales person (at another store) was not as welcoming or friendly. She seemed frustrated when my husband and I were deciding between two, and actually said “are you serious?” After we said we couldn’t decide. Even though this one ended up slightly more expensive than a similar couch at another store, Jose is what made us want to spend our money here instead. He was very helpful!

I had a bad experience there a few days ago. But yesterday was great. Becca was wonderful you have a real gem with her!!!

Made my purchase in store. Was told all items in stock and furniture would be delivered and assembled in one week on Friday. Friday came and by 6pm I called the store as they had not arrived yet. Was told that they did not have all items in stock and delivery would be another week. When the furniture finallly came and was assembled, the bed boards immediately snapped after one hour of having the bed. Upon investigating the bed boards I fond them to be made of cheap particle board. I spent nearly 5k on a king furniture set. Spent another two weeks waiting to get someone out to fix the set. I will never purchase furniture from Ashley’s again.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at The Ashley Store in Sarasota, FL. Customer service was unhelpful, and I felt ignored by the staff. I will share my experiences with you. The freshest customer comment of the year about the products I bought from The Ashley Store in Sarasota on January 1, 2025: Poor quality, poor service, and poor follow-up. The delivery experience was terrible. After waiting for hours, two exhausted delivery workers arrived and carelessly threw the furniture off the truck. Both were very rude generally. When we mentioned this issue to the store authorities, they made a laughable excuse, saying that these distribution personnel were not employees affiliated with the store. The furniture was disappointing, and despite being promised a 2-week return option by the salesperson, the store refused to accept a return of less than 24 hours after delivery. Instead, they mocked us and suggested selling the furniture on Facebook Marketplace. The furniture is of poor quality, made with subpar materials and shoddy workmanship. For instance, the sofa linings were improperly stapled, causing them to come apart quickly. Experience Sharing #1: Please do not buy the furniture moving service from this store and pay $200 for nothing. Experience Sharing #2: Please do not buy furniture from this store due to quality and workmanship issues. Experience Sharing #3: Please do not buy furniture from this store due to the incorrect information provided by the sales staff. Scheduled bed delivery on a date they provided and made it the day I'd permanently move into my new resident, just to be told the afternoon before the delivery date there will be a delay till the following next week.

I had the absolute worst experience with Ashley Furniture in Sarasota. I purchased a dining room set and living room set, and the entire process has been a complete nightmare. Let’s start with the day I visited the store. Naomi, the sales agent assigned to me, started helping another couple while I was looking at furniture. I ended up waiting for almost an hour because, apparently, the other 10 sales reps in the store couldn’t assist me—I assume because they wouldn’t get the commission. Frustrated, I left to have lunch with my family and came back later when Naomi was finally available to help me. I couldn’t even purchase the furniture I originally wanted because none of the sets I chose were available for the date I needed—which, by the way, was almost a month out. After repeatedly being told my choices weren’t in stock, I settled for a set that was “supposedly” available. However, I had to order two dining room chairs online because, once again, they weren’t available in-store. The sales rep assured me that everything would be delivered on the agreed-upon date. Well, a day before delivery, I received a call informing me that not all the items would arrive, and the new delivery date was December 21st. Fine. Then, when the partial delivery arrived on December 13th, some of the items were damaged, including the dining room table, which I had to return. Two days later, I got another call: now the delivery date wasn’t December 21st but December 22nd. At this point, I called the Sarasota store to speak with a manager. Not only was the manager incredibly rude, but she also told me there was nothing they could do about the delay. Later that same afternoon, I received yet another call saying the delivery date had been pushed back again—this time to January 5th! To make matters worse, every time I called the store’s customer service number, I was connected to representatives in another country, which made communication extremely difficult. As of today, I still have not received a delivery date for the dining room table that I returned—the same table they claimed was in stock when I purchased it. The entire process has been beyond frustrating—from terrible in-store service to broken promises, damaged products, and repeated delays. Ashley Furniture has completely failed in every aspect of customer service and reliability. I will never shop here again, and I strongly recommend others avoid this store as well. Nice furniture, if it ever arrives. We ordered a sofa from Ashley during COVID and it kept getting delayed and we chalked it up to the pandemic. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago and we went into the store room knowing what we wanted ordered it confirmed with the salesperson that it would be delivered in 2 weeks time have spoken to several people on the phone confirming the date and two days before it's supposed to be delivered we get an email saying that there's been a snag. I'm sure they have great furniture but I wouldn't know because I've never had a chance to actually see it in my house. Find someone that can deliver on their promises

We finally decided on one piece which she helped us in putting it together to meet our required dimensions. We told her at the time that we were just shopping at the time and thanked her for her time. After visiting two more furniture stores and not getting the same attention we received at. Ashley or the sales person attention we received from Claudia. We called her back and placed the order. She is a wonderful person and a great sales person and Ashley should be great full to have her. We will definitely recommend her to our friends and family.

Salesperson was great and we love our new bed. Only negative is the delivery was scheduled for between 8am and 12. The driver was in my driveway at 6:30 am with no notice. My neighbors had to call and wake me to let me know someone was at my gate.

I like my couch (but it does feel much firmer than it did in the store, but im hoping it’s just because it needs to be broken into). I was very unhappy about the delivery service though. Besides it being $200, the people who delivered my couch were very unprofessional, they threw parts of my couch on the ground and were being reckless as they scrambled to rapidly put it together. I’m 5’2” and I could’ve done a better job. I requested a refund for the delivery but it was denied. Don’t recommend!

Jim at Ashley has been a huge help. We lost everything in a hurricane. Jim memorised the spaces I had told him and even measured from photos to make sure the pieces that we chose would fit or not. I can’t say enough to praise him. I’ll be sending everyone I know to work with him.

I had a great experience shopping at Ashley’s! I went in with a picture of the chair that I found on their website. The salesperson directed me to it in the store and I was able to try it out and ask questions. I went home to think about it and came back later in the week to order it. We bought 4 rooms of furniture from Ashley and most everything was fine. Bought 2 wood/metal bookshelves for $500 and couldn’t get the stupid stickers off of them which were in a conspicuous place. Why they were slapped on in an obvious spot is a mystery. I tried the usual windex, alcohol but didn’t want to ruin the finish with anything stronger. Well, Ashley isn’t about to help with that- the sale is final and they don’t care anymore. Buzz off. But the one piece that kills me is the huge and beautiful “Amiata “ chaise sofa. We are medium size people and we watched tv for a week on it and our CHEEK PRINTS have puddled the leather. They sent someone out and said yep that’s right. It’s puddling alright. Too bad, no can fix or return. I have bought a large blanket to cover the actual molds of our butts on this new sofa. So embarrassing front and center of our living room. Wish I could add the butt photos. Horrible quality leather and just no one cares at all to fix or mitigate the problem. Won’t shop there again. And will tell the world about my experience. UPDATE: emailed the customer service representative and she fell off the planet.. couple emails/questions and then nothing. And adding pics of our BUTT CHEEK SOFA FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE

If I could give it less than one star I would. I ordered a TV stand 1 August. Had to pay 100% for it and still don’t have it. Additionally, the day it was scheduled for delivery. I made accommodations for them, changed appointments, etc. to be here, Received a text saying delivery was on their way and would be there in 45 minutes, only to receive a phone call five minutes later, saying it was out of stock and would Have to reschedule. Here it is November one and still haven’t heard anything.

My couch was delivered and re-delivered five times possibly six, but it was so many and got to be so ridiculous that I lost count. They tried to send someone out to reupholster it two times and I was told both times by the person that it was not able to be reupholstered. The quality is terrible. Every couch they sent was damaged. Their furniture is horrible quality. Even multiple delivery men told me how bad Ashley Furniture is and that they would never purchase from them. My chair also came damaged and they had to replace it. I was given a $100 gift card for my inconvenience. I was also given a delivery date twice and they never showed up. I would not recommend purchasing from them. I could understand if something came damaged and had to be replaced, but this many times is a bit much. I even received emails from quality control letting me know they hand inspected my couch and it was perfect. When it arrived, it was messed up how you see in the pictures

I recently purchased a Altari sectional sleeper sofa and 2 end tables from Ashley‘s and I am delighted with them! Quality is superb and the delivery went very smoothly. I would definitely shop there again!

Great experience with this Ashley Furniture location and Don Brooks. We needed a couch ordered and delivered on a specific date. I called and the sales manager had someone call me right away. Don answered my questions and we had the order finished in under 10 minutes, super smooth!

The Ashley product is always great but it was Murdoch’s exceptional advice and patience that made the shopping experience top notch. Delivery and setup was also a breeze and it is an added bonus to not worry about the trash either! Everything looks beautiful and I’m so pleased with my purchase. I’m looking forward to returning to this location again!

WOW! There is a first time for everything! I would highly recommend Nicole at Ashley furniture in Sarasota, who helped me convince my husband that we needed new living room furniture simply by being the opposite of what you'd expect from a salesperson at a furniture store - no pressure! Nicole understood from the get-go that when I said I wanted to look at some furniture, but that I was not ready to buy, that I meant it. She picked up what I was throwing down immediately, and for that I am grateful. She politely asked if she could text me pics of what I was looking at. She stayed true to her word and didn't bug me at all by text or phone call but when we were ready to pull the plug she was professional, efficient and beyond helpful. I will be recommending Nicole to all my friends and family! Thank you Nicole! You rock!

This time it was better. We have been to quite a few furniture stores in the last couple of weeks. We have not enjoyed our experience because of the sales people but Jim H. at the Sarasota Ashley store was a refreshing change. We thought we had heard it all about the products we were looking at but he actually spoke with us and taught us and didn’t talk at us just to get a sale. The store closed and we still had questions and he continued to educate us even without us quite ready to buy anything that night. We went back the next day and specifically looked for him to make our purchases. We will be back for any future furniture needs because of Jim and the experience he gave us at this Ashely location.

Jose is great! He moved around items, end tables, etc. to make sure we were able to visualize everything we wanted to buy. After being there for over three hours he even adjusted our order without complaint. I highly recommend this Ashley store and Jose.

Just want buyers to be aware of this potential issue. I ordered a $3,000 dining room set that was scheduled for a July 31st delivery. Out of my top choices, I went with this one from Ashley because of the delivery date. They delivered it with a damaged chair. It's clearly ripped. Instead of shipping me a new chair or immediately ordering a new part, they sent a technician out for a "stain". First off, they sent a tech yesterday without verifying I'd be home. I was 2 hours away when I got the call with the eta. I immediately called customer service, he was going to schedule it 2 weeks out because it was a "reschedule". No it wasn't. I never would have scheduled it for a date & time I wasn't going to be home. So he then got it scheduled for today. I specifically told him to note it is a rip in the fabric, NOT a stain, and would need a new seat cushion. Tech just left & guess what? It needs a new seat cushion. He seemed surprised it wasn't a stain so that wasn't even relayed properly to him. So now I HAVE TO WAIT 7 to 14 days for a part to be delivered when they should've just shipped me a new chair because I didn't pay 3k for damaged furniture. And I needed it now, NOT in a week or two. Where's the quality assurance? Who put a dining chair into a shipping carton with a rip in the seat & sent it out to a customer like that? I will never buy from Ashley again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. Side note, today's tech wasn't at fault, nobody communicated with him. And if delivering damaged furniture is an Ashley store policy, then I don't fault the delivery crew for following orders. And if you look at my review history, you will see that negative ones are rare coming from me.

My husband and I went to the Ashley Sarasota store at 6:00 (they close at 8). Jim and Ben were both amazing. We were greeted by Jim who was great! We were buying furniture for our new Florida townhouse so we had a lot to pick out and we were only going to be in Florida from Monday to Friday. Jim didn't skip a beat showing us all of our options. He even went as far as looking at pics of my rooms and our measurements to see what would fit and what wouldn't. Needless to say we were there til way after the store closed which is when we were introduced to Ben the store manager who was also amazing. Both of them worked together to get us everything we needed. To say we were happy is an understatement especially when we got the phone call on Thursday that our furniture was being delivered on Friday before we left! Thank you so much, Jim and Ben, for your patience and expertise!! Our experience was fantastic! If you need furniture go and see Jim and Ben!!

Was given what ended up being incorrect info on some clearance furniture from a sales woman 🦆and when I came back the next day to buy the furniture, was told by another sales person very aggressively and unapologetically that was I given incorrect info, end of story. I left and 2 days later sent the sales woman 🦆a text saying I’d buy the furniture and got no response at all. Immature and unprofessional 🦆. I went and spent the $ elsewhere, much better quality future and experience, which I was more than happy to pay more $ for

DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. Period. We bought several items. First issue was a promised delivery date, that was moved. No big deal. Our delivery came and out of 5 items, 3 were damaged. They also forgot to bring the cord for power from our chair to the wall. They rescheduled delivery for damaged desk, where when delivered they could not figure out how to make the desk work (it raises up and down) where they told me a service call was necessary. I had to beg them to troubleshoot it and figure it out. We are now waiting on a third delivery to replace a damaged chaise of which, has been a nightmare for them to even exchange. After 3 days of having to take off work, I'm completely unsatisfied. This is honestly the worst furniture experience ce we've had, and we've bought from tons of stores. The quality isn't worth the hassle.

No one greeted us or asked if we needed help. We walked towards the back of the store, stopped at some sort of business desk and asked where the recliners were. A man behind the desk vaguely waved and said in the middle. Found the recliners. Spent about 20 minutes looking and left without anyone asking if we needed help. They obviously weren't interested in our money.

Don went above and beyond to help us find the perfect furniture for our new house! I highly recommend this location and working with Don!

This review and the 5-star rating is solely with respect to Mr Ben Maratta at the Sarasota, FL location. We ordered from the store over the phone with one of the store sales folks a complete bed (headboard, foot board, side rails, foundation/box spring & mattress). It arrived and once assembled for us we notice that the headboard & side rails were one shade of grey (very dark) and the foot board was the correct light shade. We contacted Ashley and worked with their customer service and escalation departments. We sent pictures as requested with a detailed explanation. Time went by and nothing. I called the person I originally spoke with and who took the claim but she did not return my call. A few days later I called back and spoke to another person who said he understood and would take car of it but for some reason it still showed in their system as an open order and for which it was not paid. A few days later still nothing and no call back as he promised. I then drove over to the store and met Mr Maratta, the (Assistant?) store manager. He right away addressed my issue. He looks dup the matter on the computer, saw all the notes and my pictures and sent e-mails to those involved to help resolve things. This was on a Saturday. He then called me on Monday to advise that he had not herd back from the last person I spoke to and to whom he e-mailed and advised that he e-mailed another person to try to shake the matter lose and have it addressed as unfortunately, he could not handle the problem and exchange at the local level. A day or so later I received an e-mail from Ashly advising that we would receive an exchange on a specific date. We did in fact received and exchange and now have a matching headboard and foot board (they forgot the rails but we have decided to live with them rather than go through more aggravation in dealing with Ashley's customer service (a true oxymoron if ever there is one!). There is no question in my mind that without Mr Maratta's efforts and follow through, we would not have a matching headboard and foot board. He is a standout.

Becka came up with the shape of this couch, and then found a smaller electric recliner with colors that complement each other well in addition to matching the theme of my home. It looks so good!!
