Service rep Jose was very helpful in terms of his knowledge and patience. Suggestive without being overbearing. The purchase, however, took too long because of slow Internet.
My husband and I went to the Ashley Sarasota store at 6:00 (they close at 8). Jim and Ben were both amazing. We were greeted by Jim who was great! We were buying furniture for our new Florida townhouse so we had a lot to pick out and we were only going to be in Florida from Monday to Friday. Jim didn't skip a beat showing us all of our options. He even went as far as looking at pics of my rooms and our measurements to see what would fit and what wouldn't. Needless to say we were there til way after the store closed which is when we were introduced to Ben the store manager who was also amazing. Both of them worked together to get us everything we needed. To say we were happy is an understatement especially when we got the phone call on Thursday that our furniture was being delivered on Friday before we left! Thank you so much, Jim and Ben, for your patience and expertise!! Our experience was fantastic! If you need furniture go and see Jim and Ben!!
Fantastic service by Jim he was very professional and broke down all the cost of the items . He was very knowledgeable about the system he was working and provided excellent Customer Service. I will definitely be back to buy at this store because of him and the quality and price of furniture.
Was given what ended up being incorrect info on some clearance furniture from a sales woman 🦆and when I came back the next day to buy the furniture, was told by another sales person very aggressively and unapologetically that was I given incorrect info, end of story. I left and 2 days later sent the sales woman 🦆a text saying I’d buy the furniture and got no response at all. Immature and unprofessional 🦆. I went and spent the $ elsewhere, much better quality future and experience, which I was more than happy to pay more $ for
DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. Period. We bought several items. First issue was a promised delivery date, that was moved. No big deal. Our delivery came and out of 5 items, 3 were damaged. They also forgot to bring the cord for power from our chair to the wall. They rescheduled delivery for damaged desk, where when delivered they could not figure out how to make the desk work (it raises up and down) where they told me a service call was necessary. I had to beg them to troubleshoot it and figure it out. We are now waiting on a third delivery to replace a damaged chaise of which, has been a nightmare for them to even exchange. After 3 days of having to take off work, I'm completely unsatisfied. This is honestly the worst furniture experience ce we've had, and we've bought from tons of stores. The quality isn't worth the hassle.

No one greeted us or asked if we needed help. We walked towards the back of the store, stopped at some sort of business desk and asked where the recliners were. A man behind the desk vaguely waved and said in the middle. Found the recliners. Spent about 20 minutes looking and left without anyone asking if we needed help. They obviously weren't interested in our money.
Don went above and beyond to help us find the perfect furniture for our new house! I highly recommend this location and working with Don!

My husband and I went shopping for a living room set and a dining room set. Our sales person was Sam Spiegel. She was amazing!! She was letting us roam around to find our perfect furniture. We didn’t find the living room set we wanted but found the most beautiful and perfect dining room set. I recommend Sam at Ashley to take great care of you! She cared about what we wanted and understood that we wanted a particular type of living room that, unfortunately, the didn’t have! If you go to Ashley Furniture in Sarasota….ask for Sam!! I went in ready to purchase new living room furniture. No one aknowledged me and I did ask if there was anyone who could help me on the floor and no one ever came. Shoppers who came in after me were helped right away. Lost business. The only reason for 2 stars is ample parking and decent selection of furniture.

This review and the 5-star rating is solely with respect to Mr Ben Maratta at the Sarasota, FL location. We ordered from the store over the phone with one of the store sales folks a complete bed (headboard, foot board, side rails, foundation/box spring & mattress). It arrived and once assembled for us we notice that the headboard & side rails were one shade of grey (very dark) and the foot board was the correct light shade. We contacted Ashley and worked with their customer service and escalation departments. We sent pictures as requested with a detailed explanation. Time went by and nothing. I called the person I originally spoke with and who took the claim but she did not return my call. A few days later I called back and spoke to another person who said he understood and would take car of it but for some reason it still showed in their system as an open order and for which it was not paid. A few days later still nothing and no call back as he promised. I then drove over to the store and met Mr Maratta, the (Assistant?) store manager. He right away addressed my issue. He looks dup the matter on the computer, saw all the notes and my pictures and sent e-mails to those involved to help resolve things. This was on a Saturday. He then called me on Monday to advise that he had not herd back from the last person I spoke to and to whom he e-mailed and advised that he e-mailed another person to try to shake the matter lose and have it addressed as unfortunately, he could not handle the problem and exchange at the local level. A day or so later I received an e-mail from Ashly advising that we would receive an exchange on a specific date. We did in fact received and exchange and now have a matching headboard and foot board (they forgot the rails but we have decided to live with them rather than go through more aggravation in dealing with Ashley's customer service (a true oxymoron if ever there is one!). There is no question in my mind that without Mr Maratta's efforts and follow through, we would not have a matching headboard and foot board. He is a standout.

I was so indecisive and she helped me measure, choose colors, ponder sizes and configurations, and was EXTREMELY patient, kind, professional, and beyond helpful. THANK YOU! Update: the couch and chair are perfect 😍 I desperately needed a chair for my mother who has started coming down to help with my kids and has a bad back, but my old sectional was too big to add a chair to the room. Becka came up with the shape of this couch, and then found a smaller electric recliner with colors that complement each other well in addition to matching the theme of my home. It looks so good!!

Literally the worst. Never received my bedroom set. Tried to get a refund, not only did it take longer than a week, I didn’t even receive the full refund. I will never return. Do better Ashley.

We came in there today around 3pm with my family. Dan greeted us immediately and helped us whenever we called on him. My brother in law is also an employee for the company. He was with us as well and they didn’t give us no trouble with providing us with employee discount. I totally recommend Dan and Sarah (manager) was a pleasure to work with. I just purchased a new home and they took a lot of stress off me with furnishing my entire home.

Five stars for the store itself for great service but one star for the delivery service. My table came with a damaged corner and therefore the delivery people called to set me a technician appointment for a repair/replacement, but not only that they come on the wrong date, they also showed up unannounced - while I was away from my phone (I was at Orangetheory fitness class so I missed their last minute call)
The bed we purchased was fine except the foundation was way too high and they will not let us exchange it for a lower one. Quoted us “Once you sign for it you own it” unacceptable and now talking with corporate
Sierra is the reason for the 5 stars. She was the only kind sales agent who introduced herself and offered her help. There were 2 gentleman who acknowledged me 20 minutes after walking in but everyone else is lacking some training. I was about to leave and just purchase online but Sierra was so helpful and nice that she changed my mind. IF YOU EVER VISIT THIS LOCATION ASK FOR SIERRA!!
Everyone was doing their best! Unfortunately Clayton G put in my phone number incorrectly when I ordered the table and chairs over the phone. He thought he had corrected it but today when I called to have the delivery date changed, it was still incorrect. The people I contacted to get it changed were very helpful and nice to me about this error but it was a great big hassle having the incorrect phone number still unchanged. Thankfully I got this straightened out before they called to let me know about the delivery. And unfortunately it took a lot of time to get to the correct person for the correction to be made.

We purchased two bedroom sets for $6,000. They arrived damaged. We notified the store within 20 minutes of the delivery of the damage to three pieces. They refused to replace them until they had someone out to try to repair our brand new furniture. After several days and many phone calls during our vacation, they agreed to replace the items. Except two of the three replacements were damaged as well. We ended up taking only one replacement piece and no other resolution was offered. We stayed home two days of our vacation for the deliveries. We won't purchase anything from ashley again. We are very dissatisfied.

I work customer service, I train people to fine solution and solves problems just to make sure customer knows we care. But some businesses work like a machine they lust the touch with the customer. She personally took the time to reach out to another Ashley store after I left to get the deal I was looking for and help get me into my dream mattress. I would highly recommend working with her.
Everything started ok. We walked in, said we were just looking and we were left alone to walk through the store and look. We sat and talked for a couple minutes about what we wanted to order. Then my husband walked up to service desk that was surrounded by associates only to have every single one walk away from him as he approached. What a shame!! We were prepared to purchase 1 bedroom set, 1 bed, 2 mattresses, and a coffee table. Looks like someone else will get our business.

It's the product ( a mattress) I purchased I didn't like at all. That was a total mistake! And of course, I was just told it's not returnable. I don't believe I will ever purchase anything else from Ashley Store.
Sales person was very patient and helpfull! I purchased and had it delivered when I needed. The only negative is that Ashley advertised zero financing. When I went to pay, I received a long explanation on how stores are independent and they did not honor the advertised promo. Quite frankly, I had other options but had other furniture that matched so I had to pay by other means. I was very disappointed that the Ashley brand is SO disconnected. From a customer standpoint, all should be seamless.
If you are looking to purchase furniture be sure to work with Eunice Younger! She gives undivided and unparalleled service. She helped me tackle my issue when others just passed the buck. You will not be disappointed if and when you work with her.

Impossible to get in touch with store via phone call. Called customer service numbers and transferred 4 times only to be transferred back to the store where they didn’t answer the phone again. Took 3 hours of my time to make a simple change to the delivery date. Horrible customer care.
Don Brooks was out contact. 32 years in furniture sales answered all of our questions. Was familiar with products. Did not follow us around but made an effort to check with us every few minutes my kind of sales person in a furniture store. did a nice job from start to finish. Got back to me with my questions via text. Set me up to pay the bill with a credit card and we we were done in 15 minutes.
In all the frenzy and detailed to-do’s involved in a long-distance move, probably not my best and brightest to choose Black Friday as THE day to buy new furniture for a house that many states’ away, buuuuut it was Nicole’s absolutely wonderfully kind, patient and helpful voice over the phone that gave us the confidence to move forward! Though we know of the Ashely brand and its commitment to quality products and customer service, getting put thru to Nicole when contacting the Sarasota store and letting her professional guidance work magic by making sure we got the best deal possible, we knew we were in the best of hands and that this one part of our move was going to be saaahmooooth! We can’t thank Nicole enough for listening to us, providing us with all the pictures, prices and information about our purchase which had to be done completely via phone and now we’re actually starting to really looking forward to making our new house our home with a really amazing new Ashley sectional that will hopefully have our family and friends’ gathering for years to come!

The couch we purchase from Ashley Home Store slants on both of the ends of the couch. I have called customer service many times and even had the couch replaced but same thing! I am so upset and I can’t believe that we just have to except the fact that this couch slants. It’s uncomfortable to sit on! We recently had another person come out and take pictures of the couch but no follow up! They’re just trying to get us to go away and I really want my money back! But at this point I’m ready to exchange the couch. It’s not fair that we should live with a defective couch!!! Maybe someone reading this can reach out to us and show that Ashley is going to do right by their customers!

The staff was attentive yet respectful of our need to wander on our own. Once we found a sofa we liked he quickly attended to us. The sectional we wanted was in stock which was a welcome surprise. Delivery was scheduled for less than a week out. The whole process was easy and stress free.
On our first visit into the store, Steve was super helpful and patient with us as we searched for a new couch and discussed customizing one we liked. We didn’t purchase that day, but Steve still remained helpful over the phone when I had questions the next couple weeks. When we returned to purchase, Steve wasn’t there, but his coworker Dan stepped in to help us finish our decision making and purchase. Dan was also very kind and was very clear about the details when walking through the purchase process with us. Overall great experience!

Experience is based online. Purchased table which came damaged, so requested right away with customer service for replacement table that's not damaged and they would not. They told me I had to go donate the damaged table and since I do not have a vehicle to drive it anywhere or lift it myself I told them and all they said was that was their policy. Customer service reps hung up on me twice and their phone lines were horrible and kept disconnecting. I sent them pictures like requested twice and all they would say is I HAVE TO go donate it but as a customer that's not my responsibility. I told them I will leave it outside and they can come pick it up and do whatever they want with the damaged table but to send me a new one that's not damaged and they wouldn't even do that. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced and will never buy from Ashley's again. Sorry I am not one to leave negative reviews but this just was absolutely ridiculous.

It took way too long to get confirmation and hard copy of my 10-year warranty email for my purchase. Purchased on 8/26/23 and after several emails only just received the info today 9/8/23. Unacceptable especially since it was all done by email. Also, we had to arrange and pay for our own pick up from the store and delivery home for the purchase. They said it was because it was a "floor model" that they do not deliver. Who ever heard of such a thing? RTG will be where we purchase the rest of our furniture for our new home.

The only negative was that after paying for my purchase we had to go to another desk to have inventory checked out before I could leave the store. I bought Havalance cocktail table, end tables and TV entertainment unit. I love them. However, my cocktail table had glaring gouges in the table that were painted over and I didn't see it until the delivery guy left. You are suppose to have 72 hours to report which I did. Now they are saying it is suppose to be like that. My whole house is wood furniture from Ashley's and the rest has been great. Still working on getting it replaced.
I was in this store 3 or 4 months ago, I was returning from work, I was dirty and even so they treated me very well and I said I would go back to buy my furniture for the new house, well today I went back and bought a table and 8 chairs in money with the same seller who attended me and in a month or two I'll be there again
Nicest bunch of people to deal with. I had an issue not with the store but the warranty department. Lori Jackson stepped up to the plate & resolved my issue on a Saturday! Thought I would have to wait until Monday. Shout out to Sarah Kennedy , store manager, as well. She's assisted me in the past . You can tell she encourages a positive workplace, the sales seem to enjoy working there & are happy to help.

If I could give no stars I would where to begin first I came into the store and tried to get a payment to go through for $5k dollars there system kept going down and wouldn’t work I finally decided to pay at store for bed frame where they told me I’d have it next weekend Sunday I finally called to confirm the order and now it cannot be delivered till Sept 9th I spoke to a rep and they tried to get it sooner but couldn’t they than proceeded to transfer me to the store where I was hung up on from there I had to call again and the response was the item is back ordered and couldn’t be sped up so the sales guy lied about delivery and also even having the item in stock I decided to goto the store to see what options I had and they weren’t much they offered me to get another style but than decided that it still couldn’t be delivered till after the time I needed it the store manager was very dry quick to talk and offered no solution other than to cancel which when they took my money it was immediate but take 48/72 hours to get the refund the whole experience was a sham customer service skills non existent other than one person who tried to help very disappointed don’t waste your time with this place it’s just a name and have mediocre furniture at best

Drove 45 minutes to purchase 3 bedgear pillows and a mattress protector only to find out that there was only one protector in stock and they wouldn't sell it to me because company policy is to not sell the last stock item. So your company fails to manage the items stock so the customer has to suffer. They offered to order it for me, but why not sell me the item and then you order more stock? Manager was extremely rude. If I wanted to order the item and have it shipped to me I would have ordered direct through bed gear. I've always been an Ashley customer but not anymore. The new corporate policy is turning away money I guess.

I purchased a brand new couch, but it arrived defective. I requested a replacement, but instead, I received a terrible repair job that made it look like a second-hand store purchase, even though I paid full price.

We paid a lot for our furniture and went ahead and paid several hundred dollars more on insurance because we have pets and things happen. We made sure to ask and clarify multiple times before purchasing, that the insurance included cleaning or replacement of the furniture for pet stains including urine accidents. Well, it happened our pup had an accident on the ottoman . We filed a claim and were instantly denied because “damage was caused by a pet” we have spent 1,000s over the years at Ashley but will never shop here again, and we will be making sure no one we know or work with does either. Looking into options moving forward in order to get our money back.

I just want this one of five pieces ordered/delivered replaced. Ordered online and items were delivered and set up on 6/10/23. A problem found after they left. Being a holiday weekend (Juneteenth) I reported it asap which was 6/13/23. They sent a tech on 6/24/13 and he fixed best he could but drawers (this is a 5 drawer chest) didn't open smoothly, wobbly and resistance. They first said they'd replace (based on my photos and videos) but then said they had to send a tech to confirm my photos, this happend on 7/22/23. He told me he did the best he could but the tolerance allowed and the material being pressboard, he could only do so much. On 7/25/23 the email came in that my case was resolved per tech report. I bought new and want new (new working order) product. Ashley online customer service is unacceptable. My word and the visuals don't matter to them.
I am so very very happy. I have been working with Johnny from Ashley in Sarasota for a few weeks now planning for my new furnishing for our new condo. We love in Illinois and so much to do. Johnny was amazing. Did the keg work and it is all done. I am now here in Sarasota and stopped by the store to see everything and I love it. Johnny deservingly had a day off so I met Steve from Arizona who waited in my. He was so accommodating, took me around the store and I saw all my purchases to be delivered. The worst customer service experience in my 61 years. Got an email and text saying our new bed would be delivered between 9:00 & 1:00. 1:30 no delievery. Call 800 # and on hold for 20 minutes and told they need to research more and will call me back. An hour later no call. Call store directly and gal takes the info and says she will call back. An hour and a half later, no call. Call back and ask for the manager. She says he's not available but will take off the delievery charge and the bed will be delivered 4 days from now. This morning we donated our current bedroom set so we don't have a bed to sleep in now. I ask again for the manager again. She says she will give him a message. Another hour goes by and I drive to the store and confront the manager and he won't even tell me that I deserved a call back. He knew I had been trying to figure what was going on but Ben couldn't be bothered returning my call. Cancelled the order and went to Mattress Firm cross the street and ordered the same exact mattress and will be getting Monday and even saved me a few bucks

Lovely furniture store carrying a variety of styles. Many of the furniture stores here carry mostly coastal style furniture. That's OK if you have a home right on the beach or it's just a Snow Bird's home, but for those of us who are year-round residents, I for one don't want my entire home in 'coastal chic'. Ashley's has more variety than most stores and they make their own furniture. They quality is good without being overly costly.

This is the worst place to buy furniture from. Deliveries are never on time, when they deliver the items are damaged or wrong. Their customer service is based outside the USA with people who have no clue what’s going on. There’s much better place to spend your money for furniture than Ashley’s!!!

My experience at Ashley was excellent. My boyfriend and I were looking to get a new sectional as we were moving. Upon entering the showroom we were greeted by Shonté, who was exceptionally helpful, kind, and personable. Furniture stores aren’t always the most fun place to be, but she made it a fun, relaxing experience! We didn’t want the piece assembled as we were going to move it to our new place upon delivery, and Shonté made it happen and we received the delivery early on the day promised. She even followed up a little while later to make sure all went smoothly. Would 10/10 recommend this place, and ask for her if you go in!!

We purchased this sleeper sofa 2 months ago. Our first issue was the refund of the delivery payment of $194 that was charged. After several text to our salesman and me threatening to just return the sofa for a full refund did action get taken but not till after I drove over to the store. So finally that is done and now I'm battling a claim where the mattress backing was cut and I have again sent several text again to our salesman and have received very little information. Now I guess I'll make another trip over to the store in person. This will be the absolutely last piece of furniture we purchase from this store. Our salesman John I feel is stuck in the middle and actually feel bad for him. Just beware should you have any issues with refunds or anything it could and probably will take forever and you staying on top of every day. Very poor for a business of this size.

Terrible customer service! I bought furniture for my husband who i was admitting into residential memory care unit The delivery guys didnt attach the headboard to adjustable frame turns out it wasn’t able to be attached nor did delivery guys call me or tell person who let him in to his room. I personally didn’t realize it until day before he was admitted ( 5 days after delivery) when i was making the bed It literally fell down on the mattress! I had to hurry and find someone to remove it Took a week to finally get someone to call me back from customer service When they did, they said it was outside of their 3 day return policy! The headboard would’ve fallen on his head when he raised the head of the adjustable mattress ( that i bought with headboard) Keep in mind this was bought and delivered to a memory care unit!!

After my purchase, tried calling the store several times, but no answer, no call back. After 3 days of trying, finally someone answered. I requested a sample of fabric or at least a pillow before my June delivery of living room couches, so that my decorator could see to pick paint colors for our Florida beach house. I was willing to pay or give a big deposit, but they said they were not a high end store and could not accommodate me. I’m very disappointed and not sure I will keep my order or cancel. I spent $3,600 on my living room couches.

The salesman made 4 colossal mistakes regarding an order of 4 pieces of furniture. He has 2 of them being shipped 2 months early to the wrong address for delivery and set up, and the other 2 are being sent UPS to the wrong address of an apartment that the construction has not been completed until one month from now. He assured me that he would ensure that deliveries would be to the correct location and on the correct dates. Sloppy and careless customer service.
Beautiful pieces but poor customer service. It took us over two hours to check out on Saturday 4/22. We purchased items on clearance and no delivery available, only though a third party vendor. We purchased regular items as well, with regular delivery. Third party vendor arrived and we were missing a recliner, the very first item selected on clearance. We went back to the store and the young man that worked customer service on 4/24 wearing a blue wrinkled shirt was very bothered by having to help us. He called a manager that didn't want to honor an additional discount for the problem of having to arrange an additional delivery.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! My wife and I had purchased a Dining room table set and chairs in store and on delivery the table had scratches all over the legs of it so I called to complain. Customer service told me that they would take $200 off the table if I was ok with keeping it with the damage to avoid having to wait for a new table and deal with pick up and new delivery. I decided to accept the table with the rebate but little did I know that if you accept a rebate it voids the one year warranty. No one from Ashley told me this and I did not find out until out of the blue they canceled my technician appointment for a defective issue where im getting white rings on the top of my table out of the blue. I tried calling the store manager and never got a call back to discuss options. I called corporate customer service and they told me sorry can't help you call the store where you got it from. I have spent easily over 20k on furniture at Ashley over the past few years and to be treated with such horrible customer service and care is extremely disappointing
Update: If I could put 0 stars I would! Someone reply to this review and now the reply has been deleted! I have sent an email 1 week ago and no one has contacted me! I placed an order in Nov. 2021 I was supposed to get part of my order on Feb. 2022, it was March no noticed, I called and was told that I was supposed to have gotten my order but it was delivered to another customer. That I should have everything by May, because they don't do partial deliveries and there were things missing. June came nothing, call again that in August, we really wanted that furniture, and there were gonna give us an extra discount for the inconvenience. Call in by the end of August to find out my credit card authorization was canceled so they cancel my order without noticed, plus my down-payment still not refunded and then when I try to re-purchase they said now my order is $1000 more...and that they can't price match. I'm I just wanted the furniture I purchased on the beginning. If I would have cancel my order they would've charge restock fees, but they can cancel without noticed and not re-open my order with the same price and items. They need better customer service. This is unacceptable and unfair.
Unboxed my bed frame and the headboard was broken. Ashley refuses to repair or replace. Spend your money at a company that’s trustworthy, not Ashley home furniture
Worst piece of furniture and extended 5 year “warranty” that covers nothing I have ever bought! Cheap materials and craftsmanship. It looks good at the store and I’m getting to think that they have better quality pieces in the showroom but in reality this store furniture is the most low quality and not necessarily cheap. I have bought IKEA pieces that last longer that this sofa-chase. The resiliency of the cushions and foam is gone only after 18 months with normal use. You may think it was abused or jumped on but trust me when I tell you to go and spend a little more and go to Macy’s or any other furniture store that sells quality. Also, customer service is really bad. The lady who answered the phone suggested to get rid of it and go back to buy a new one at their store, are you kidding me? After buying a couch for $1800 and paying for their useless “5 year warranty” for $250? A decent couch is expected to last way longer that 18 months! They know they sell trash! Stay away from Ashley!

I went there to find a cabnit for my living room, Shonte' is who helped me, she was awesome, no pressure and there is a table I want she went out of her way to carry a piece of the table to see if it would match the cabnit, as my house is all open. She didn't make me feel stressed, it was actually fun for me, I usually dread going to furniture stores, I will be back to get another piece and will definitely asking for Shonte' to help. I had an absolutely wonderful sales person who knew what he was doing and was very responsive. However I was only purchasing a couple of clearance items (low $) and the purchase process for doing this is ridiculous. Not to mention that other staff were dismissive when they saw my purchases. Ashley has no idea if I would have spent $5000 on this visit, and now they will never know.

Can I leave no stars??? We are so frustrated! We bought a NEW couch about a month ago… it was delivered and assembled by Ashley’s home delivery. That night we realized the chaise lounge and the love seat were squeaking. We called within the 72 hour window and they said they had to send a technician out to check it out… the First visit he took our BRAND NEW couch apart and sprayed lubricant on it… still didn’t work. He came out yet again and replaced a piece inside… still didn’t work. We called right after that and they said they had to send a technician out to check it out AGAIN in order to start a return process… technician came this morning and told ME that it was a frame issue and there wasn’t anything they could do. In his report he put that it was up to their standards and now we’re not able to replace it… if this is your level of standards that is sad. Yes we have the 5 year warranty… which obviously doesn’t mean anything accept paying extra for the fun of it. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND Ashley furniture to ANYONE! Look online… there are actually people putting lawsuit’s together for this exact issue… beware!

Every part of this purchase was a horrible experience. The weeks long delay for deliver, the order coming in 3 different shipments over weeks, the poor quality of the furniture, broken furniture arriving, the wrong piece being delivered, and much more. I would never advise anyone to make a purchase from Ashley. The people at the store passed me off to a call center who told me I couldn’t order a replacement part for a $1k bed frame that broke conveniently after the 1 year warranty. The couch is cheaply made also..I would rather use furniture from Goodwill than shop here ever again

Called to complain about a situation and They were very rude to how they spoke to me and made me feel like their lack of communication was my fault. I felt I was getting no where. Needless to say , I will not be recommending Ashley to anyone. I have yet to hear from their management team to see how my issue can be resolved. Not holding my breath.

Stephen Grohman Is a real asset to Ashley furniture stores. He guided us through the process of furniture selection, and we never felt pressured On any decisions. He was very patient with our indecision. The quality and prices on the furniture was a nice surprise. We were also surprised by the amount of options on display.
I purchased 4 counter height bar stools from Ashley for $400. They are an "in stock" item. It was not a custom order. I was out of town so I ordered them on line with the help of a sales person at our local store. They were delivered to my home but i realized they were too short for my counter. But because I called the store after 72 hours they informed me that it no longer could be returned. Everyone should know that Ashley has a return window of 72 hours. Unlike overstock, or Macy, or Target or most stores. My salesperson did not inform me. I would never have placed the order and never will buy for Ashley in the future.

Worst furniture purchase we’ve ever made, If zero stars were an option that’s the score. Normally I do not write unfavorable reviews We ordered a patio set (sofa/loveseat/2 chairs/end table/coffee table) July of 2022 the assembly was horrendous and items were put together incorrectly and damaged, we also noticed our set began to fade and discolor. Ashley actually did replace all but one of the items and once again we noticed fading and discoloration on all of the pieces, this set is on the COVERED portion of our lanai. The sofa and loveseat are also warped and not holding their shape. We called corporate and we were directed to contact the store manager as we were outside the 72 hour timeframe for a return. We went into the store and were rudely brushed off by the manager who stated this was above his pay grade and redirected back to corporate. This went on and on, back to the store manager this time a different one who actually took the complaint seriously and apparently took it to her regional manager. The outcome was we could reselect other furniture at over a thousand less than what we paid for this patio set, or replace again. The entire time we have asked for a refund, we were told again to go back to corporate and I was just told once again we cannot get one. NO RESOLUTION! We will never do business with this manufacturer ever again. Please take the time to look at this defective product. Update 6/2024 the furniture is now 3 different colors, never was resolved.

We shopped a big haul in Ashley's Tamiami location. The store staff were amazing and super friendly, especially our rep Jim. He made sure to keep in contact with us to ensure a proper delivery time frame and took the time to help us pick the perfect pieces for our new home. After delivery, there was a missing piece to 1 of the dressers. I called the 800# and was put into contact with a very nice representative who took care of the issue fast! The reason for the 4 stars is because there is no way to directly contact the store or your rep. When calling the # on Google, it puts you to a customer service line that has to ask for the location you're trying to reach, they call and then patch you through (if you give them a valid reason to have to speak to the store). I spent countless hours trying to contact the store because I had questions that weren't able to be answered through the customer service people. Another note: they did a fabulous job at keeping us informed of our delivery time-frame. But the driver never contacted us 30 mins prior, so it was kind of a rush situation because we didn't have a heads up like they said they would do. (They give a 4 hr window). The furniture is nice and the sales rep was helpful though! And the delivery people were friendly and efficient!
Salesmen are not on the same page and give different information. They also hang up on you & just let their phones ring. Purchased a floor model bed and as the customers, we had to disassemble it ourselves! Was told they weren't licensed to help. Neither are we! If a headboard toppled over and cracked one of us in the head it wouldve been a liability for the store. Other retail chains I've worked for wouldnt allow the customers to load product, because of liability issues. Makes sense. Now, im pregnant, my fiance and i had no help whatsoever. The fellow customers held the doors and were more friendly! When I worked for Ashley Homestore in Orland Park, Illinois we never did this to customers! Very disappointing!

Jan 24th update I was supposed to get a call bout the afternoon delivery of the 24th received no call or anything. After waiting on the phone over 25minutes for a store manager I called the customer service # and found out the sofa cushion hadn't arrived at the warehouse. the delivery will need to be rescheduled when the cushion arrives at the warehouse. This is the poorest customer service! Worst experience ever! We ordered a sofa and Loveseat from Ashley store in Sarasota and it was delivered on Dec. 8th. The love had a defect in the fabric. the delivery guy took a picture and was going to follow up with the store. Didn't happen! I was then instructed by customer care to take pictures and submit them which I did but customer care said they need 7pictures(should have told me the first time). Called my sales rep and he said this was Ashley's procedure, when all they had to do was give me a replacement cushion. It has been three weeks and I never heard anything. Called the 800 number on my claim and the system directed me to the Ashley store in Port Charlotte(WHICH IS CLOSED!). Finally got someone in customer service and they said they were sending a technical out on Jan 6.(no one notified me of this!) to inspect the defect(why have me send pictures?) their whole customer service system is the worst ever. I should have refused delivery of the love seat. I tried a number of times unsuccessfully to talk to the store manager. I would never recommend this store their system and customer service is awful!
Absolute nightmare to deal with - it’s amazing how bad their customer service is. We purchased a new bed two weeks ago and the salesperson had to call us back 5 different times to confirm the order details. Then, after notifying us we wouldn’t receive delivery for 6 weeks - we decided to cancel the order. That sales person must have quit because we never heard back and are still waiting on confirmation that the order was cancelled. Every time we call the store, no one answers. Do yourself a favor and avoid this big box retailer. Find a company that cares.
My husband and I met Becca over the phone this summer. We live out of state and needed to furnish a condo in Sarasota. Becca has been super helpful in picking items for us according to our likes and dislikes. She helped us purchase a bed and foundation over the phone! We finally met her yesterday and she is a sweetheart. We purchased two additional items from her and I'm sure we will go back.

I bought a new house recently in Bradenton. I needed new furniture for the place and recently spent over 4 thousand dollars at this store to furnish the place. I paid for "white glove " service which means they will assemble all of the items. The delivery truck arrived at around 7:30pm and the drivers were in a hurry. They immediately said they would not be assembling the coffee table because it would take too long. They also didn't have the stools which accompanied the kitchen table I purchased. Their help line is useless. I had to drive twice to the store in Sarasota to get their attention. After 2 weeks we eventually got the stools delivered. After waiting almost a month of looking at the huge box in the living room, my wife and I decided to assemble the table ourselves. It took about 3 hours. Some white glove service. We got a credit on the delivery only after driving 30 minutes each way to complain. The furniture is nice but that's only part of the equation.
My wife and I could not believe how comfortable we felt at your location. What made it even better was the personal touch that Steve Schettler added as our sales representative. We want to send him a warm Thank You, for the respect and manner he showed us. We will keep his business card handy for future purchases at Ashley Furniture... Thank you all. Perez...

I stopped into the store for an outdoor patio set with fire table. Upon entering the store, everything was very well lit, organized and clean. I love the way they put rooms together and give ideas for accessories. The staff were very friendly, and low pressure. My associate was Josh Miller and he was very laid back yet knowledgable about everything I asked. I always come here first because I love the furniture, warranty, delivery timelines and ease of purchase.
This shopping experience has been a nightmare, at this point I just want to cancel my order, but they are making this even a nightmare, what is so hard, just cancel order, but no..I am still fighting with them, customer service refuses to escalate call or let me file a complaint. And won't give me confirmation of cancellation, the woman said it can't be cancelled until its been delivered, WHAT!!!! Why so then can charge me for item leaving warehouse, c'mon, somebody help, this is worse experience of my shopping life.......
Called store, Saleman , John , answered immediately and answered my questions, I drove over to store within minutes, he met me, , (this was the 5th store I had contacted that day, and visited .. ..this was an urgent purchase and I had no time or interest in browsing and he was aware of that.. He took me immediately to show me what I had called about, demonstrated use and helped with sizing…it was a recliner lift chair , .promptly arranged delivery and I asked about a sofa, he did not try to “sell”, me., took me immediately to the sofa that would work in the colour and fabric, but showed me immediately what was in stock and I purchased it, with the same delivery period..

Ashley Sarasota Store!!! Worst experience in my life. I bought all the furniture for my house in march of 2022 and I payed in full. They promised to deliver as soon as my house was ready to move in the delivery guy who opened my the boxes ripped a hole in the couch. The dining set is missing so many parts to finish assembling the table, and I’ve been waiting for around 40 days and the parts haven’t gotten here yet. I hope they resolve this issue soon. Definitely don’t recommend.

Had the pleasure to have Jeannie help me. She is the best . We found a bedroom set. I thought it was too big. So I ordered the bed and dresser without mirror and 2 night stands. They delivered and put everything together but my room was bigger than I thought. So I called her and ask if I could add more because the room was exactly bigger than I thought. So I went back and ordered the additional dresser that came with set and bed seat bench. With pillows. Jeannie said its ok it happens all the time. But everything was seamless. I will definitely order more furniture from Ashley and Jeannie.

Ordered a desk and a couch in July. Here we are in October and I am still dealing with the headache. They delivered my couch and damaged my wall and door frame in the process. The next day they delivered a broken desk. Instead of getting an exchange they needed to send out a repair technician. The technician said he couldn’t repair the desk and was confused as to why he was even sent out. After weeks of no shows, or forgetting to load the new one on the truck I decided to return it all together. They never showed when scheduled to pick it up and when they finally did, here I am 10 days later still with no refund and a damaged house. Ashley’s has the worst customer service and the dispatch team doesn’t know what the heck they are doing. You definitely get what you pay for and this was a lesson learned. Cheap doesn’t mean better. Take your money elsewhere.
Found what I wanted online, contacted my local Ashley Store, spoke to a sales person (Steve) who sent me an email invoice...paid for my new sideboard...waiting for a delivery email...fast, simple, excellent!! Too easy!!

Very bad contact information
We purchased some furniture and three hybrid mattresses. Delivery was on 9/18/22. With the exception of one mattress, all was fine. The defective mattress’ top layer has been filled unevenly - there are bumps and valleys where there shouldn’t be (which is quite easy to tell because I have its twin that looks like it’s supposed to look.). However, getting the defective mattress replaced has been quite the frustrating experience. Customer service is quite unresponsive; after sending in photos, per their request, there was no further communication. I called back the next day. A rep said a technician will have to look at the mattress and gave me the first available date: 10/12/22. (Another three weeks without a mattress that you can sleep on!). On 9/20/22, I went to the store, hoping that a customer service rep there could help me expedite the replacement. I was told that in the computer system, there was a note that there would be an even exchange and they’d call me to let me know when that would be. There still has been no call and I have a sinking feeling that they just said that to get rid of me. (The mattress in question -Ashley’s own brand - is in stock; if I ordered a new one today, I could have it on Tuesday.) I dread reaching out to customer service again which is probably what they want. This has soured us quite a bit on Ashley. UDATE: I gave up on calling customer service and decided to just wait for the technician’s visit. The technician came out Wednesday, 10/12/22, in the morning. He was nice, took a bunch of photos and said I should hear in 1 - 2 days from Ashley. I called them Friday afternoon and spoke again to a nice rep who said that the matter was still pending review and confirmed that the technician had uploaded his photos. She was going to send the matter to an „escalation“ team who would review it on Monday (10/17/22). This is now beyond frustrating; how can it be that after a technician comes to the house & sees a clearly defective mattress, that there is no mechanism in place that automatically results in the scheduling of a replacement mattress? Ironically, while on hold waiting for customer service, the phone propaganda is relentless about the importance of a quality mattress and the high quality standards of Ashley.

On May 13, 2022, we received our 2-seat power reclining sofa from Ashley store, Sarasota, after waiting over four months. That same week, after the delivery, we moved from Florida to Georgia not knowing that our one-year warranty would be cancelled for doing so.- We did mention it to the sales person, but he did not offer any advise regarding their process. We did buy a protection plan from GBS Enterprises, through Ashley... 2.5 months afterward, the leg lift began to act up by going sideways instead of straight up as it was supposed to. Ashley refused to help because we "moved" the sofa from FL to GA., so the warranty had been cancelled. I called the Protection Plan and explained in details with pictures, and the refused to help, first because Ashley was supposed to help, and then because the mechanical issue "was not covered", even when their document does nention that they would cover "mechanism".. We are in the process to contact BBB and Federal Trade Commission regarding this matter, as this sofa seems to be a lemon.
So, I dropped into Ashley in Sarasota, paid cash for a table and 4 chairs tall. They delivered a low table and high chairs so obviously I would need the correct table of very skinny legs. So, here we are now with 2 deliveries that never delivered, and still no table. Per my request I wanted to return it. Took 4 hours to return my call, with no updated information, just plainly did not care, or apologize. Stay away and save yourself some heartache. I noticed also the automated responses on all these complaints, which tells me they don't care. Sad there are businesses like this still operating.
See Trent or Brittany at Ashley in Sarasota. They both spend the time that you need to be sure that your selections are perfect. I bought 3 bedroom sets at once & they were delivered in a few days. Mattresses are amazing- have had the best nights sleep ever thanks to these two!
Dan helped me purchase new items for my house. He listened to my needs and made my decision process very easy. If you need furniture don’t hesitate to give Dan a call! I can’t wait until my new furniture arrives.
Keep away from this store! I bought a >1000 USD bed and there were some pieces missing at delivery time. I called the customer service and they were useless, then I talked to the physical store and they made go to the store to pick the missing parts. JUST to realize that they gave me the WRONG parts. Shame on Ashely!!!! I had to go AGAIN to the store to pick up the parts AGAIN. This is unacceptable customer service!!! DO NOT BUY, NEVER, ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY!!!!!!
My son and I visited today with hopes of finding a bedroom set for him. We didn’t find one but my son wanted a cute hour glass that they had for sale. We bought this after listing to much grumbling from Trent. He didn’t seem happy that we only found an hour glass and even made us wrap it ourselves! I expressed my concern in wrapping it myself but Trent didn’t care. What Trent did not realize is that we have 4 bedrooms, and office, a patio , bonus is room, family room, kitchen, and more to furnish. We have bought from Ashley before but I have never been treated in such an inhospitable manner by anyone at the Ashley! Epic fail on Trent’s part! I can and will easily take my business elsewhere!
If I could write a review without giving them a 1 star rating I would. I'm on my 4th delivery for the same they brought back the set i refused due to missing parts ,and was told that they will deliver it 1st stop im still waiting set
This review is for the Hudson store, my experience at the store was fantastic but after I was missing a recliner power supply called the customer service sat on hold over an hour just for someone to pick up the phone & hang up, called again sat on hold for over an hour & she wants me to take a picture of the missing part (duh), so I sent a picture from Amazon of the part I needed, they emailed me said someone would come out to follow-up, 2 months later nothing, emailed various times even called the store & they said I had to call the customer service #, the part is only $15 but that is not the point. I spent $4000 on the couch & Ashley is not standing by thier product, will never buy from them again. 😒
Ashley Home store does not stand behind their merchandise. They delivered a king size mattress with two single bed box springs. They refuse to correct the problem. Rude manager, poor service.
Came in the store looking for a mattress that I saw online and Clayton immediately showed me the mattress. The one I wanted wasn't on display, but in a rack on the showroom floor. He was kind enough to move mattress around so I could lay down on the one I wanted. He was attentive and informative. I purchased the mattress and was very happy to hear that delivery was free and would be shipped to my house in just a few days.
Have had issues with a love seat with a bent frame and have been going back and forth for 6 months trying to get the issue corrected. Customer service will answer and show up but that’s about it. Always get a different answer for what is going on with the parts. Don’t buy from here or any Ashley. Won’t ever do it again. For the money I expect better customer service.
This location is very accommodating to the casual shopper who wants to take in all of the options. Sammy, my sales rep, was very obliging and NOT pushy! When I was ready to make a purchase, she had everything done very quickly. I also got 20%, and a 5 year warranty. My cost was less than some places that sell furniture at cheap prices. Definitely going back for my next furniture need.

I made a purchase on a Memorial Day event and have not received my reward. Purchase was made 5/21/2022 and I started calling about the missing reward approximately 6 weeks after. Since then I have gotten the run around from everyone that has anything to do with it. So 3 months later I get a reply from Elite Rewards saying that it basically is not their problem to contact the store or Ashley Customer service again. This has been the worst experience of my entire life and I am 65 years old. Had I known these people were not going to stand by their advertisement I would have bought this item from Big Lots they have the same piece.
I really do not like writing bad reviews. But I need to warn people about this company. We paid $10,000 cash for new furniture furnishing our whole home. Every piece of furniture was damaged. We have had a technician out who made the problem worse by painting multiple pieces of furniture with marker. We have been assured that the furniture will be replaced. They have showed up multiple times with new broken furniture. And when they come, they only bring one-third of the furniture that they are supposed to. Does not seem like the customer service really knows what is going on. I also purchased insurance on the furniture which is supposed to insure in the case of me or my family damaging the furniture. I should not need to use it for new furniture that showed up damaged. But I may have to. Please do not buy your furniture here. It is a nightmare and feels like a full-time job just scheduling and rescheduling due to them bringing out only broken furniture. At this point it does not seem like Ashley caries furniture that is not damaged. Pretty bad. Ashley added the note below 👇 By the way this issue was not resolved.

Wrong order, 2 delivery attempts were refused, 3 trips to the store, order still wrong. Only offered 10%off and free delivery, no remorse, canceled my order. Will NEVER buy from the Sarasota store again!

I ordered furniture and home decor from Ashley’s a few weeks ago. The salesperson put the wrong address down so I haven’t received all of the home decor that was direct shipped to me. I did receive one item and it was damaged. I reached out to the salesperson who sold us the items and said at the time of the sale, “reach out to me if you need anything or if you have any issues”. So, I reached out to him. He told me I had to call the store that there wasn’t anything he could do. I have been trying to call the store but it just keeps ringing. Customer service online says I have to deal directly with the store. Terrible customer service all the way around. No resolution yet. I also bought furniture from Kane’s that weekend. An ottoman I purchased that was delivered had a small dent in the corner. I noticed it last week. I reached out to the salesperson at Kane’s, she said she would let her manager know. I got a call from the manager the same day letting me know they were replacing it and scheduling delivery. Big difference in the two experiences that I had. I recommend Kane’s.

Nice selection, but the sales guy was shady. Told us that we were lucky for being there because they had a "one day special promotion", even though my friend who bought furniture there 3 weeks prior was given the same promotion. He also seemed judgemental and snobby. I'd shop there again, but never with that sales person.

Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant to make a purchase after reading many reviews that complained about fulfillment issues. We visited the store, spoke to sales associate Samantha S., and then later made the purchase over the phone. Sam was polite and very patient throughout the process. The delivery team made contact, multiple times, by phone, text, and email. All methods provided options to confirm delivery times. The home delivery was fulfilled as scheduled and the delivery personnel were polite and efficient. Perhaps we’re just lucky but I’d like to think Ashley has corrected whatever issues gave rise to the history of troubling reviews.

I only gave a 1 star because I didn't have an option for a zero. I ordered a few products - 4 bar stools, a dining room table with 8 chairs and a dining server. Delivery times are absolutely ridiculous. Expect it to take about 6 - 12 months. We received our table the soonest - but no chairs until about 3 months later. One chair came broken - it took another 4 months to get a replacement. Then finally our dining server came in - damaged. It was cracked in 3 different places. I contacted Ashley's again for probably the 10th time - no exaggeration. They wanted ME to pay to ship back their damaged product - I told them no. Someone could come pick it up. They had me send them pictures and right away said just throw it away, we can't accept that back. (Because of the damage) So they ordered a replacement - which took another 4 months to get to us. We get the replacement today and immediately before we even moved it into the house I knew it would be damaged by the looks of the box - I took pictures of it before we moved it, once we opened it we didn't even bother taking it out of the box because the top of the server was cracked. I called Ashley's right away to report it - but this time I told them I am not waiting on a replacement for another 4 months just to get another damaged product and have to go through this all over again. After talking to someone on the phone for over an hour, being asked the same question over and over, being put on hold repeatedly, having to send more pictures - I was finally issued a refund. I will not be returning to Ashley's I truly hope that others have a better experience.
By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Poorly organized, poor communication, blatant lies about delivery dates. The people at their call center seem to care, but have no power to help. The people in the store (including management) do not care at all. We spent $1,600 on a dining room table 9 months ago and we are still waiting even though our table (which is already paid for) is sitting in their warehouse. Multiple phone calls with long hold times and no answers. Multiple times we were told we would get a call back with delivery info and no one ever called. Save yourself the frustration of dealing with them.
Astonishly Perfect Johnny in Sarasota store found my 3 year old California order, processed my reorder of identical lift chair for Florida - in 5 minutes ! Delivery in 3 days ! Cannot be happier - needed asap after surgery DMG

Not only do we not have our furniture after 7 months, we have a "warranty" they told us to get and they did NOT tell us would be void when we moved out of the state.....which we were VERY clear on the whole time. Do not buy from this store.

The veneer is lifting on our table, I was told it's a known issue. We have the extended warranty purchased through Ashley in Sarasota. Not only are they denying the warranty claim that I PAID for, (yes, I read the fine print, our issue is supposed to be covered) they refuse to do anything. Never buy from here, they don't back their product with known issues and sell warranties that they know don't work! American Signature has much better quality and stands by their warranty, so much so, that if you don't use the warranty, they refund you at the end of the warranty!

The worst retail experience my wife have ever had! Ordered a gray/white dinning room set, received brown/white. Contacted store immediately would not return phone calls or messages left. Both sales person and manager. Called 800 customer service who took all the info and said they would leave additional messages, still no responses. This went on for about 10 days.Now we are leaving our condo to back home told them all of the date even extended our stay to accommodate them. Still no response or pickup of table and chairs. Finally someone from 800 customer service calls the day before we are going home to tell us that they will pick up table 2 days after we had left, What a mess, had to file dispute with credit card company as well. Will NEVER buy again from this company!!!
Made a large purchase of many pieces of furniture at an Ashley Home Store. Purchased the warranty which Ashley ushered me to do. The warranty company is not responding to a defective dining room chair which is now no longer manufactured. Called Ashley numerous times regarding the warranty co. not responding. They said there is nothing they can do for me, the warranty company is not ASHLEY. Suddenly have divorced themselves from them. It is impossible to contact the store by phone. Unethical business practices by ASHLEY. Sub-par furniture.
Bought a beautiful new couch for my new home and now I’m sitting on the floor. I moved to a new state and was promised a certain delivery date to my new home. I even ordered my moving truck to be on the same day as my couch so everything lined up. Moved in my new home and was informed the day of my move that my couch was on back order for 3 more months. Never again!

Absolutely horrible customer service and experience. We purchased a couch two and a half months ago and were guaranteed delivery within a month by a salesperson who clearly cared more about making a sale than keep his word. AGAIN, promised IN A MONTH. This would have indicated delivery should have been in the middle of February. Here we are now 10 days before their visit and the couch might be delivered in TWO weeks. To make things worse, the company offered no compensation for their errors and lies. Would highly recommend shopping elsewhere.

After many previous attempts to order a specific mattress, the salesman at the store was able to fill my order. It was a pleasure working with him. ( Stephan Grohman ) . While others failed, he succeeded in finding what I needed.
So disappointed with Ashley's delivering system. Ordered a new sofa at the Sarasota location on 3/12. Paid cash and was given a delivery date for 3/16. Received an email confirmation for that date on 3/16 between 4pm-7pm. I took off work to be home for the delivery since someone over the age of 18 needs to be at the home. My sofa never came. No call. No email. Nothing about my delivery. Contacted the store on 3/17 and they gave me a date for the warehouse to RECEIVE the sofa on 3/19. Then it will be shipped from the warehouse to me with no specific date until 24 hours before sofa is shipped from the warehouse. So now I have to take off work again on a date I don't even know yet. Very frustrating on given a specific delivery date and time then changing it without letting a customer know.
Sarasota FL OMG!!! Worst ever - sofa ordered Nov 2021, came in dec 2021 was damaged. was told delivery in Feb. 2022 - then March 2022, now on backorder until May 2022. tried for 4 weeks to cancel - can never get anyone at the store nor a live person. Finally got some person in India who answers the phones and cancelled it. Still have no refund on my credit card. Tried again to reach actual store as they said they have to void it to get my money back. Chatted online with Ashley person and said store has not voided it yet. Again no way to reach the store and with gas at $4.50 a gallon I am NOT going to drive 20 miles and back to get the stupid store to get me a refund. Ashley just lost a customer who has been with them for 20 years!!

Drove nearly 30 minutes to see a livingroom set that WAS NOT on display. Then the sales guy says " I can order it for you" Well I coulda ordered it also w/o ever having to drive 30 mins if that's what I wanted! I mean... people who go to the store want to see the items before ordering several thousands of dollars of furniture!! So annoying!
If I could post a 0 or less I would. Nobody knows what is going on especially the managers. They lie constantly about delivery dates and apology discounts. Will never order from them again. Had to cancel our order today after waiting since November due to the managers consistently lying to us every time we call and the dates changing. Do not recommend this company.

I have to give this a disappointment rating. Came here today with the Mrs and MIL, and a pretty hefty credit score looking for several pieces of furniture. Usually when you walk into this type of store you are practically tackled and not left out of sight. That was not the case here. For the 45 minutes we were in the store we were not greeted or addressed even though there were sales people around. As I said earlier, we had the intention to purchase should the right piece come along. My MIL tried a number of chairs, love seats, recliners and even a mattress without a reaction from the Sales team. Unhappy we left. Since I didn't see a Manager I called the store when we got home and was told that he was in a meeting and would return my call. So far, no response. Given the Brandon economy we live in you would think that your business would be important. This location does not seem to see it that way
They don’t answer phone calls. And they changed my delivery date 10 times and I still don’t have my bed frame. So unprofessional never buying from them again
Felt like i was Julie Roberts from movie Pretty Women. He was rude and didnt want to help me at all. He then told me to look at the lower end mattress on what he thought i could afford. Well I went ahead and purchased a 6000 bed at Hudson. Top of the line mattress with motarized bed frame. (Temperpedic).
Caleigh is the upseller of the year. Magic may have been involved. We went in to buy my doughters bed frame, this was the only thing we had wanted from the preivious visit (the first time we were in here, we weren't impressed....may have had something to do with the car salesman). We left with: bedframe, matresses for both kids, matress for the parents (didn't need!), chouch, loveseat, side chair (still mad they wouldn't sell me the matching pillows, but it wasn't for her and Frank not trying), dining room table and chairs, rug, added misc stuff and popcorn. From $250 to $12k real quick. I hope she got the record sale for the day, she deserved it.
Hayden was extremely helpful in assisting my boyfriend and I with purchasing furniture for our new place. We actually went back two days in a row and he was extremely patient as well as knowledgeable while assisting us in the process on both days. I’ve already begun telling my friends and family about my experience with Ashley so far. I hope to have more good reviews ones all our furniture arrives!
Damian greeted me once entering the store. He was super helpful when explaining the store layout. I appreciated the space he gave me to brows, but checked in with me as I cruised the store. I didn’t purchase any items that day, but returned the next day to purchase multiple items. Defiantly ask for Damian while visiting the Sarasota store.
I wish I could give them zero stars. The store in Sarasota is not bad but their customer service is terrible. The techs come to my house and tell me the repairs will take too long. So they don't do them. Email after email not returned. I wish I could return this paid off couch...
We ordereder some furniture from Ashley, and delivery got delayed 3 times, and we are still waiting on our coffe table, it has been a month since we ordered it and they said they have everything in stock...... very bad experience, would not recomend shopping there.

Overall very disappointed with my experience shopping with Ashley Furniture. After waiting over 4 months to receive dining room table and chairs, I received 5/6 chairs with uneven legs causing the chairs to “wobble” when sitting. Dinning table has We asked for a return on the table and chairs and were told that we could return them only to find out our return was “denied” on the basis that they needed to try fixing chairs first. Not very happy with Ashley’s customer service and workmanship of their furniture. Lesson learned.

My family and I are relocating to Sarasota from Pittsburgh and had a month to get everything in order… flew down for a weekend just to shop for furniture! Stressed and not knowing where to start we went to every furniture store in the area one after the other…. Ashley was our first stop on Day 2 and the search was over! They had the most in stock by far and had exactly what we were looking for… but the customer service was top notch, shout out to Damien! Damien greeted us as soon as we walked in and explained how to navigate the store and how to find the items that would be available the soonest, which was extremely helpful as we needed to furnish an entire condo in less than 6 weeks. He allowed us to walk the floor on our own and was available any time we had a question. He was knowledgeable and accommodating and he went above and beyond for us through the entire experience! We even asked to speak to his manager before leaving to let him know how great it was to work with Damien:) We are happy customers and can’t wait to get all of our new furniture! Thank you Damien!!!

Yesterdays experience was to cancel a $2,800.00 order. Items that were promised for delivery on 11-13 never were delivered. The phone system at the store is horrendous, you can't reach a person EVER. We will never shop at this store again; and that disappointing the selection of merchandise very nice. I hope management will view this as constructive and try to fix the issues of communication.
Damian did a nice job of listening to me and helped me stay within my budget. With his non pressure help, I found pretty much exactly what I wanted and feel good about my purchase! He was able to also get me the exact date I wanted for delivery. This was very important to me as I am moving to a new place and wanted my new furniture to arrive on the same day I'll be moving in. Brought some outdoor furniture that was on sale. Very good price. Then went back a week later and brought some indoor furniture. Some furniture they actually could get in a week. The furniture I ordered will take about 4 to 6 weeks. Shorter time then some other stores.
There is not a zero allowed so!! Buyer beware, if you are unsure of the item you are buying DO NOT BUY IT!. They say returns are easy. 3-1/2 weeks of games and now have to go back to the store that they say you cannot return to. And cannot call the store!! There are a lot of options out there. Don't use this one!!
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS FURNITURE. I’ve had the worst experience after buying a bed. This is the only purchase I have ever made from them but it arrived defective and it was missing some parts. The baseboard of the bed is not properly angled and you cannot secure the bed. After months and months of misleading information from their customer service, sometimes they tell me yes, I can return the bed and ask me to wait to arrange pick up then they say their representative gave me the wrong information and I am not eligible for a return, sometimes they tell me it’s out of warranty but I have proved to them I have been calling since the day the bed arrived, they’ve run out of excuses but still won’t allow me to return this bed... This has been going on for over SIX MONTHS and I still don’t have a bed I can actually use. I am really frustrated and I never felt so disappointed after paying for a brand new item that is defective and missing parts, this is not fair to their clients. Please don’t waste your money like I did, go somewhere else. I had a great experience at Kane’s Furniture (Sarasota) and Macy’s Furniture (Tampa), their products are of great quality and arrived in perfect condition, their customer service is also outstanding. Please NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY’s furniture.

Update March 2024, still calling store and no one responds. Two years of no results to issues! Cleaning company made couch worse. No one taking responsibility I bought a couch that was stained on the bottom and has a scent when delivered. I called about 20 times and only once got an answer. The cleaning company that is under the insurance I bought doesn’t answer the phone. Then I get Ashley on the phone 1 times out of every 5 phone calls on their customer service and I can’t get a scheduled appointment with anyone because they say they will call you with the appointment to come clean the couch that shouldn’t have come dirty in the first place and they don’t call back. I have copies of emails and phone calls and I will go to Better Business bureau at this point. When I told people I know they all said people they know all have issues with Ashley. They lost my business and everyone I know.
Johnny at the Sarasota, FL. location was the most amazingly salesman! He was so patient with all my questions & changing my mind. Prices are great & everything we purchased is available now! I would highly recommend!
Anna was excellent to work with for our bedroom purchase. She answered us at a moments notice by text. She worked hard to price match and find us the best price offered for the bedroom set. Would come back here and work with her again.
I also wish I could leave zero stars. Service is beyond pathetic. They ruin your floors when delivering. Leave your furniture dirty after delivery.. Items not delivered for months and months and months. Lies after lies as where your order is. I'm so disappointed. I will never purchase from this store again. Still waiting for missing items since May. Now told end of December. Disgraceful.

This table has been a nitemare!!! We first ordered in late July. We received the chairs, to our house, in early august. The table top was delivered to my moms house, not exactly sure why! When we finally got it from her we found there was no base! I had to call to check on the status of the table base. Early September we still hadn’t received the base but they said it was delivered. They issued a new one. 2 weeks later I still didn’t have the base and had to call again! When we finally received the table base, which was close to 2 months after the order was placed, we went to put the table together and the top was damaged! So for the 4th time I had to call them back! They issued a new top but instructed us to send back the damaged one. When we finally got that it had scratches and dings all over it- see picture below!! I reached out to customer care and asked if I could receive a credit. All they could offer was a 20% for next time! I question- why would I purchase from u again when this was such a debacle to get and then kept arriving damaged? I could have purchased a table, similar to this one, at Home Depot and finished it myself and saved a few hundred dollars!!! What an issue- I will do everything to NEVER shop here again!!!
Ashley has a huge selection. Something for everyone two three things for some. Lol. The customer service was outstanding. A lot of things are on back order. But with everything that’s going on in our world, that’s to be expected. But just knowing in a few weeks I will have a beautiful new living room set.
My overall experience with Johnny was very pleasant. He was knowledgeable and very helpful!! I would definitely recommend him as a salesperson! We are very excited to get our new furniture!
I rarely write reviews, I wanted to warn anyone from buying from Ashley Sarasota. We ordered furniture in July that was suppose to deliver on September 6th 2021, we never received a call let us know this was on back order. So I called to find out what happened to our order. When you call the local store number you are routed to a national number which 3 times I tried and gave up all 3 times after over a 1/2 hour of hold time. I was able to get a hold of the local store by choosing new sale option on the phone tree. I spoke to Dalton twice and asked for a manager to call me back, I never received a call back. I called a third time and finally got a hold of Michael the manager he committed to get a hold of me the next day with an update good or bad. I never received a call from him, my wife and I just drove down to the store and cancelled our order. Do not buy from these people, everyone understands Covid has made everything tough to get, but the lack of communication is unforgivable. Ashley if off our list of stores, we received much better service at American Signature.
Called to confirm they had the mattresses we wanted but couldn't get through for an hour. Tried chatting online but couldn't get answers. Arrived at the store only to find out they don't carry Casper at this store even though the website says they do.
Terrible customer service. In store went great, but table came damaged. That happens sometimes, but I called their “customer support” and had to speak to 5 people over the span of 3 days. A couple said they have a replacement at the warehouse, but are unable to schedule a delivery? Two of them said I would receive a phone call to schedule delivery..never got a call. So I had to end up going online and scheduling a delivery. They only have one day available, 3 weeks out. So we have to wait a month past our delivery date for something that was damaged and is currently in the warehouse. I’ll probably never shop here again, just in case I have to use the customer service again.

Looking for a new couch found 2, the sales person was very helpful. I had my finances in order went and brought my fiancé back to show him and that’s where it shifted end of the day and we only had time to look as we had a prior engagement an hour later. She did not know what finance companies Ashley uses and blew me off saying I’ve never heard of that. And what I had in place I did it on line on the Ashley website. So she focused totally on my fiancé tried to get him to apply for credit. All at the same time she’s working with another couple. We ended up paying cash, rushed out the door. I’ve got a line of credit I’ll never use and the acct won’t close for 12 months. Beware who you work with, don’t let a salesman rush or manipulate you into buying. It’s a couch ppl not a car. Definitely had the rug pulled out from under my feet on this one. Delivery was great no problems. The manager did call me to let me know that this was not acceptable and more training was required.

What a JOKE was told by Hayden the sectional we where looking at “had to be ordered tonight” in order to get Monday. Told him had to go head and Measure to make sure we had enough room. Told him we would call him or text him back either way. Send him a text message as he requested after an hour made several phone calls to Hayden and the store!!!! Nobody answered either one. When he finally called me back and told me that the sectional had been discontinued! Wow Discontinued after 45 minutes! Ask if we could purchase the one on the floor since they had no reason to keep it since they could not order any more, City doctor called me Tuesday. I just Love the great service!!! Off to a real furniture store.
Our Sales Rep (Anna) was a pleasure to work with us. She was so informative about the products, but more importantly about the EtA on delivery and availability. We eventually made a decision to endure the delays, because of the quality of the furniture and Anne being so honest about the whole situation with vendor's shipments. Definitely go to see Anna and Ashley Furniture.
Horrible delivery department I’ve taken three days off for three different delivery confirmations only for the three different delivery dates to be changed without my acknowledgment. Always fun to expect your things on the 20th of the month then for it to be randomly changed to the 25th then when they don’t show up you call and it’s been changed for a month and a half out. Not to mention losing pay from taking off 😃 Communication is key
I wish I could give them 0. The worst company ever. I paid for shipping and the assembly and the came to my house and left my sectional just like that. You call Ashley and all they can do is send you other people on different day to assemble them. Unbelievable seriously they think I don’t work but sit at home everyday for Ashley. Don’t buy from them ,the same thing happened to my sister and nobody will not do anything.
I purchased a pair of sofa for the July sale. And the price tag on the stand was $599 but KENDRICK MILLER the salesman at the store tried to rip us off because he said that sale ended. We did purchase at a higher rate and then saw online that the sale was still on so luckily we called Ashley customer service and they gave us a store credit. That was a very sloppy move on behalf of KENRICK so runaway from him if you ever see him at the store!
So far very disappointing experience. First placed order online got conformation but when I inquired about order something went wrong. So missed that sale price. Went into store placed order on 7/25 with delivery between 8/8-8/11. Got a call yesterday 8/7 saying would not arrive till at least 8/22. Needless to say very dissappointed. UPDATE...9/05 Would like to add received my sofa. Was very pleased with the care and courtesy of the delivery people. Love my new sofa will shop Ashley again. Was dissappointed in the wait time, but in the end satisfied. 4 stars 🌟 would be 5 if not for the wait time.
After visiting 4 different Furniture stores , liking several items and having to hear, it will be November before delivery, we finally went to Ashley Furniture. Our sales gentleman Jim Hinchliffe was knowledgeable, super friendly and even went above and helped us sketch out what we were looking to do. Recommend this store. And best of all my furniture will be here in laws than a week!

I have had the worst experience possible with Ashely Furniture. We purchased a sofa and love seat in store, and had it delivered. The sofa come with all 4 legs and hardware, but the love seat was missing them. No big deal, a quick phone call and Ashely said they’d send the feet for the love seat. WRONG. That was month’s ago, and both me and my fiancée have been on the phone with Ashley 4-5x for HOURS now, each person saying they’ll fix the situation. 3x now they said they ‘shipped’ something and it never arrives and they can’t provide tracking info. And now twice, a SINGLE leg has showed up with no hardware. How clear do I have to be, WE NEED 4 LEGS AND 8 BOLTS. Not a single leg. This has been the worst customer experience I have ever received. I guess it will be another 2 months and 3 phone calls until we finally received two more legs. DO NOT purchase anything from Ashely.

If I have a choice to give 0 star I would. I purchased a dinning set and some other furniture July 2020. I also talked into buying the warranties. After a few months, the chairs sank as much as 2 inches when I sat down. I went to the store and spoke to a woman. Someone came to take pictures and I never heard fr anyone. When I called the store today, I was told that the case is closed because the ‘2” sank” was normal wear and tear. They will not replace or repair the damaged chairs. If the normal wear and tear is so extensive with my 125lbs-weight, then Ashley furniture are really not up to standard as they claim. How could Ashley sell such low quality furniture? How good are the warranties if I can’t use them when my furniture are damaged. I would never buy another piece of furniture from Ashley ever again. I won’t recommend anyone to go there either.
I WOULD NEVER DO business with them. again. I did order bedroom set with White Glove delivery service. Furniture were delivered, but nobody was able to put all the pieces together, neither delivery people or technicians that came next day. After 2 days of multiple phone calls ( terrible Customer Service!!!!) I am sending it back. I just hope that someone will come to pick it up. NEVER AGAIN.
We were promptly greeted upon entering. As it was our first time in an Ashley store, We received a brief explanation of how they operate, delivery dates, etc. We were free to roam and when we stopped to seriously contemplate a piece, our greeter - Jim - noticed and approached. From there, he answered all of my questions, began working up an exact estimate, but never did I feel pressured. I ended up purchasing a similar set but was given lots of time to consider my options. I was impressed with the professionalism and class - when I was half expecting pushy and obnoxious. Definitely will be buying from them again!

The salesman named Damian at the Ashley Homestore in Sarasota, Florida was very helpful and polite. He knows his business and answered all of our questions. We are very pleased with him. We are also impressed with the store being very clean with a lot to choose from. It is our hometown store!
Must ask for Rebecca when you go in. My wife and I walked around for about 20 minutes, past multiple sales"men", with out a word. Than Rebecca asked if we had been helped yet. She was apologetic for her co workers and help us find the perfect living room set to fit our floor plan. Very kind and helpful throughout the entire process.

Would give this organization zero stars if I could. Ed, the sales representative was a pleasure to purchase from. We purchased months ago to ensure our furniture would be in stock when delivered. Weeks ago we pushed the delivery out due to a delay in closing, when changing the delivery date I explicitly asked whether we would still receive all our furniture. Three days prior to delivery I receive a call stating that I lost my place when the delivery date was moved and therefore would not be receiving my server but would receive a partial to which though I was mislead and upset still accepted. Well delivery day arrives and I sat waiting for the delivery and surprise! No one showed up. I have called the 1-800 number and have been hung up on and put on hold for hours at a time. Finally some one gave me a date- July 3rd and that I would receive all my items. Then it was pushed to the 7th and received a delivery message stating all 11 of my items would be delivered; which was then canceled due to the storm and moved to the 15th. Finally was given the option to up my delivery date to the 9th which I did. To ensure the date was accurate along with that all my pieces were in stock I went into the store to verify. I spoke to Angelo which pulled up my account and indeed verified that all 11 pieces including my server were set for July 9th. Well this morning we receive yet another call to confirm delivery and yet my server is yet again on back order and won't be delivered... when just yesterday I was told differently. Point is, we have received so much contradicting and misleading information. All promises of delivery have not been fulfilled and no one takes accountability. We just want the furniture we paid for. Never again would I purchase from here or recommend them.
Please don’t buy from this organization. I bought my furniture in February and the salesman assured me it would arrive when I needed it in June. However the day of the planned delivery they didn’t show and when I finally got a hold of someone they tell me it will be a week late.

The worst experience I have ever had. Purchased a couch in February 2021. Was told in-store that it was on back order but would be available in April. April came and went, and after I had to call to inquire (because no one from the store or corporate calls to update you) I found out that they pushed back the delivery date until May. May came and went, and same result. Pushed back until June. Meanwhile They attempted to deliver 1/3 of the couch on 3 separate occasions. Guess what happened in June? You guessed it! They pushed it back until August. I had to call and inquire EVERY TIME. This company is QUICK to TAKE YOUR MONEY but drops the ball in EVERY OTHER FACET. Be warned. This company is trash. Find a furniture store that keeps their promises. This one sure doesn’t. -Kyle

We ordered a sofa table and end table along with patio furniture in January 2021. We were told at the time everything would be delayed 6 weeks due to Covid. Ok, we cancelled the patio furniture because that could wait, but the end table and sofa table we needed. We were told 6 weeks, that put us at the end of February, called to check on that, delivery pushed back to June 23, 2021. Checked on that the last week of May to see if it was still coming, there was no open order for us. And they still had our money!!! We were told to contact Customer Service at the Sarasota store. The first attempt our call was dropped, what a surprise. But what WAS a surprise was our second call was answered by Susanna Richstein. She was professional, efficient and more than accommodating. Our telephone call with Susanna was May 26th, she straightened out everything and we had our tables by June 1st. She is the epitome of a professional!! Thank you Susanna, you are the best.

Visited the store a few days ago and when we walked in there was a friendly salesman named Jim Hinchliffe who greeted us! He waved us in and asked what brought us in today so we told him. He explained everything to us!! He was kind and listened and even went on our hunt with us till he was satisfied we were OK. He came back to check on us and answer other questions and was just a joy! I would highly recommend Jim to anyone. We did not buy from him that day because they didn't have quite what we were looking for but we will visit Ashley Furniture Stores again and when we do, we'll ask for Jim. Also want to mention that at some stores no one even approached us. I have a brother in the business and when I mentioned this to him he said, "you look like no money". Yes, we didn't have our Sunday best on. Not even quite sure where that is as we just moved down to FL and most of our belongings are in storage *somewhere*. Jim did not judge us in any way but it was very obvious that other stores did. I was in sales myself for 25 years and one thing I know is NEVER judge a book by it's cover. Hayden was excellent in his no pressure approach and knowledge to assist my wife and I in our furniture needs. As a result we ended up taking our time and selecting far more furniture than we originally intended to but but it completed the vision for our new home.

The best thing about shopping at Ashley Furniture is when you are able to do price matching.
We have been shopping for furniture in SW Florida for some time and between the influx of people moving to Florida and furniture manufacturers having to shut down production due to the pandemic, it has been challenging to get anything that does not have a lead time of 6 months or more. Not only did Ashley HomeStore have the quality and style we were looking for, most items were in stock or only had a short 30-day turnaround. Equally important, John Fleming, our sales consultant, was exceptionally professional, he knew his product details and gave us the time to look around while being very patient with us. He never pushed us or tried to "sell" us; yet was always available to answer questions . He even stuck around even though his shift was over after a long day. Consummate professional of the highest order.

I have been trying to reach the Ashley store in Sarasota for 3 weeks with no success. I’m wanting to place a furniture order for my entire home since I’m moving there in less than a month. The chat line is unavailable except with a virtual assistant which is no help. I’ve tried at least 25 times. Apparently they do not care about sales orders.
Let me just start by how poor the customer service is. I went with my wife and I didnt realize it was almost closing time. 10 minutes before closing to be exact. Instead of a welcome literally was like"Do you have an appointment? if not sorry we are ready to close". There was no How can we help you? Trust me if that approach would have been different I would understand and come back with a better time frame. Instead you lost my business forever. We the decided to go to the furniture store and it was amazing. We bought our dinning table and ready to change the rest of our living area.

Don't bother with Ashley Furniture! I only gave one star because you have to select a star in order to write a review. Their C/S is a complete black hole and they gave us the run around on the original delivery date and it got moved out 3 different times and they blamed us. They text you and ask you to text 'YES' in return to confirm, so I did every time and they said 'oh our text feature isn't working well!' Interesting! Not sure how that is my fault. Anyway, once we finally did get the delivery scheduled, they came to the door and said the furniture was damaged so they never unloaded it from the truck. I was told someone would call w/in 48 hours and they never did. I have a case number and have called the number they provided and I've called 3 times to no avail and can't seem to get this resolved. I still don't have my furniture and I also don't have any resolution! I will NEVER buy from them again and I would caution anyone who wants to purchase. You would be better off going elsewhere. I have cancelled my order and asked for a full return. Not worth the money or time!!!

I understand sometimes you have no choice when it comes to selection or price with furniture but.... if at all possible DO NOT Do Business with this company. For one the furniture is cheaper for a reason but it's after your purchase when the real fun begins at thee Sarasota store at least. You cannot contact the showroom directly by design - if the "sales person" gives you a card - good luck with that and watch out for other solicitations for other side gigs they might be involved with. But - their customer service black hole is where you wind up. Our delivery was to be on Sunday they confirmed as we left the showroom on Friday. Of course between 12 - 5 is your window just perfect enough to screw up your day off waiting. Well the furniture never came so at 5:15 we called. Turns out that was our fault as they claimed we did not answer their text (which we did) then they tell us Oh you have to call to confirm you will be home 24 hours prior or they won't attempt to deliver - they basically started blaming us for not doing their job; to say hey we are heading your way today like normal deliveries are done. So after the blame game they tell us it will be Wednesday not sorry sir we will get this on a truck for Monday. So we called back on Monday three times to try and get them to confirm Wednesday - now we have called too soon it has to be within 24 hours - so we called Tuesday to find out they have moved our shipment to Friday!! Complete morons and should win an award for the worst customer service of which we were nice to them - expressed our frustrations but nice. Do yourself a big favor and spend your money elsewhere if at all possible. I gave them one star for two out of the six CS people who tried to help and apologized for the horrible experience and internal processes - I would probably fire the majority of their management team if I stepped in to reorganize this pathetically run company.
Beautiful furniture, well priced, professional sales people, BUT! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Trying to reschedule delivery date was an Orwellian nightmare. Long hold times that would abruptly get shut down, dysfunctional chat service. After several frustrating attempts, will now have to go back to the store.
The item is a light beige and it came with HUGE black zippers on the pillows and armrests. It’s a modular piece so you will see both sides of the arm rest. I tried to call and left a message with corporate and the local store and no one has called me back.
I thought this was a great store until i purchased on 12/1/2020. Paid full value and as of 2/20/21 - have not received the item and the store WILL NOT answer their calls nor call you back after repeated calls to customer service escalation. BUYER BEWARE. I will be contacting the BBB next.

Similar to what many others have said, the store experience was great. After leaving the store it went all downhill. The enterprise truck showed up, and one guy unloaded the truck while the other attempted to drag stuff into place, and up the stairs. The walls were beat up, and the floors were marked up. Ashley Furniture has multiple departments and none of them can give a good resolution to an issue. We paid for full assembly, and were still left to assemble multiple items after the delivery team left. Hardware was left at the warehouse apparently because we have a kitchen table sitting upside down in the living room with the promise it will be here today (9pm still not here). When calling in, it sounds like it will likely not be here until later in the week after they said it would be here for sure. This has been nothing, but a dumpster fire, and with the amount of times I have had to call the store, shipping, scheduling, and delivery teams is unreal. This has been the worst furniture purchase of my life, and plan to never go through Ashley Furniture EVER again!

We shopped at the Ashley store in Bradenton Fl this past weekend. We bought a mattress and some other furniture pieces. This was one of the best experience we have ever had buying furniture. Johnnie our sales man was the best. He was so knowledgeable and very patient with us while we tried many mattresses. Johnnie really made our experience a pleasant one. I highly recommend checking out Ashley furniture they have a great inventory of furniture and the customer service is excellent. Ashley, the finance manager was also amazing. She was so much fun to talk with and she helped us with all of our questions. I have worked customer service for years and Johnnie and Ashley went above and beyond and i just want them both to know how much we appreciated all their help.
Furniture arrived damaged...dining table, 4 chairs and a bench. The table was scraped, looked like yellow paint on a corner, chairs each had nicks or scrapes. They offered to replace...but we decided the quality wasn't there ... leaf to table was difficult to pull up...when it did there was friction which caused marks on each half which are right sides together when folded. No guarantee new set would arrive in perfect condition. We simply couldn't see wasting more time waiting for a new set. We were also led to believe Ashley makes their own furniture...when table was upside down in order to work on the hidden leaf it was marked: made in Vietnam!!!
I ordered my furniture November 28. I was told it would not arrive until January. The first week of January I called to get an update because I had not heard a thing. I was told my delivery date is January 15. Today is January 14 and I have not heard a single thing about my delivery tomorrow. So I called the store again and was told my delivery is not until February 12. This is totally unacceptable and I will never ever in my lifetime use Ashley again for another purchase. I have spent thousands of dollars in that store and will never again use them. I will also tell everybody I know to never ever use them. UPDATE: I just called to confirm February 12 and was told now March 2. It also shows that I have not had any previous dates of delivery, which is a total lie on their part. I have now sent them to the Better Business Bureau.
Extremely disappointed! I drove from Bradenton to Sarasota, Florida to check out the Ashley HomeStore. I walked around for 15 -20 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. I approached a salesman and ask him if he was helping anyone, he pointed across the aisle to another gentleman and walked off. I then approached another salesman who was walking around. I explained what I was shopping for - dining room set, coffee and end tables, counter height table and chairs, bedroom set etc....My challenge was needing to get items quickly because I’m furnishing an investment property I just bought; trying to get it furnished and on the market. He said very curtly everything would be 4 to 5 weeks out. I asked him if there was any way to look at items that they would have in their warehouse and could I pick anything up since it rented a truck. He then gave me a very snarky response if “I want to drive to Tampa” This guy was very arrogant and it was obvious that he did not want to help me. He didn’t offer to show me around or give me any options. At that point I was done and left the store. I can’t believe that Ashley doesn’t have better sales people and what I experienced today! Seriously disappointing!!
Absolute horrible customer service!!!!!!! I should have known when our salesman told us that we could go home and call back to place our order. Once we decided that we wanted the furniture we called back and was told that they could not take our order over the phone! Hmmmmm ok, so back to the store we go. The sales man told us that it was not true and that we can order online. Received the first 2 chairs on the first delivery, even though they said we would get all 4. Ok no problem we'll wait for the second 2. Delivery date came for the second set of chairs they delivery truck arrived (late in the evening) sat out in the driveway and then pulled away without dropping the chairs off!!! Called them immediately they said because of the rain storm they were not allowed out of the truck to make the delivery so they went back to the warehouse with our chairs in tote! Set up a 3rd delivery date to finally have the chairs delivered. When putting the chairs together one of the inserts were damaged and would not accept the bolt. I have call customer service twice now ( which you have to leave a message and wait for them to call you back 24/48 hours later) both of the operators on each call promised to take care of my problems. Guess what still no call back and no resolution to my problem!!!!! These chairs were purchased and "delivered" approx a month before Thanksgiving it should not take the long to handle a minor issue. I don't know how a company stays in business with these kind of business practices!!!! I will be looking else where when it comes to my future purchases!!!

They got as big as they have because of their financing. Their customer service post-order is thee worst. Every time we buy from them, the delivery is screwed up. Every. Time. The most recent fiasco sees us paying for order 1/17 and with delivery date of 1/22 and so on 1/21 when we haven't received delivery confirmation they tell us that it will be mid- February(!!!!) Called the supervisor- unwilling to do anything. I demanded a credit from the supervisor who said it can't be done over the phone and hung up on me (!!) when I expressed frustration. I called back and the customer service rep DID in fact credit me over the phone. If you are desperate enough to need their financing and when you do have your delivery issues- make sure to complain to the basic customer service rep as the managers are wholly incompetent and unhelpful. I wish I could give negative stars. Truly pathetic.

We went to Ashley in January. We ordered a new bedroom set and mattress. We told the saleswoman that we would not be able to accept delivery until May. We set up a delivery date for May 15 At the beginning of March I received the phone call from Ashley furniture saying that our furniture was here and ready to be delivered. I told them we were not prepared as we had stayed earlier on our delivery request. I found out we were closing on April 19th I called Ashley furniture to try to get the delivery moved up they told me my furniture was gone they had given it to somebody else. I asked the customer service woman what am I supposed to do for the rest of the month should I sleep on the floor she said she did so I can do the same. Outstanding customer service LOL. Subsequently we canceled our order with Ashley furniture and bought furniture from another store who could guarantee our delivery on the day we requested and never mentioned a sleeping on a floor. They should let their customers know first up front that if they don't accept their furniture when it comes in they will give it to somebody else I will never ever ever shop at Ashley again and I suggest the same for people who are reading this to ask your salesperson about delivery

We had a fantastic experience working with Jim over the last few weeks. I stopped in a few weeks back to look at a few pieces of furniture, Jim was very helpful and while I couldn't buy that day, I came back a few days later to purchase. On my second trip in, my mom came with me and Jim was just as helpful the 2nd time. My mom ended up being interested in a few items as well. We then came back a few weeks later and Jim let us know we could come back for a private sales event the following weekend and saved my mom some money when we came back. Total combined, we bought 7 pieces of furniture. Jim was friendly, chatted with us, didn't make us feel rushed, shared stories about his family and really made us feel like friends. In addition, he was very professional and made sure to get us the best price possible. He was very knowledgeable and hardworking, I 100% would recommend him to anyone.
No acknowledgement when we walked in. Asked an employee where a particular item was, and just pointed me in the direction. I saw what I needed to see and left without making a purchase, due to the lack of employee support. First time in this store, and will be my last.
Johnny was incredibly helpful through our entire sale! Shopping for furniture is not the easiest however Johnny made the experience fun and easy. I’ve worked in sales for 10 years and he really went above and beyond. Next time I shop for furniture I will surely ask for Johnny to help again!
Horrible customer service!!! The experience at the store was fine, the sales guy was very nice. The problem started with the delivery. Some guys showed up on an Enterprise rental truck, only one guy tried to get the love sit by himself on my living room, dragging it and hitting everything on its way! They basically ruined the sofa, living it full of black spots from their dirty hands, very unprofessional. My wife called customer service several times, every person will tell her something different, including they will give us a new sofa... it never happened! They end up sending a technician to clean it up, but there still some spots on them. Went to the store and asked to talk to the manager, it was a waste of time. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THIS STORE AGAIN!
Told on website it would be delivered in a week. Got a delivery confirmation with date. My wife and I waited during delivery window. The time comes and goes. Call to see where the delivery is at. I was told they were here and waited 15 minutes. My wife and I disagree. Told I could reschedule delivery for 3 days later. I wait 3 days. Don’t hear anything. I call again and warehouse tells me it wasn’t shipped. Tells me I can set up delivery for 4 weeks from then. NO. Give me my money back.
Hate everything about ashley, its problem after problem once you give them money and leave the store. Lamps breaking and cutting my fiancee hand open when they are being delivered,furniture not delivered on time, couch that is now 2 years old already needs a part to be fixed, "parts" warranty doesn't cover parts, Cant get in touch with "consumer affairs" to order the part, sat on hold for over an hour total to get a 9 dollar cord(which isn't covered by "parts warranty") Never got the part, never got a sorry from the company all I can say is NEVER AGAIN!
Went to tamiami trail in florida. Horrible experience 2 years ago but still went back. Furniture is delayed. When I call the store it goes directly to corporate number and than goes to voicemail after 15 minutes. I left a message for manager of the store to call me back or I will cancel. Four days later....still waiting. Please DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!! Zero stars but for some reason would not let me post zero stars
Went into the store to purchase furniture no one greeted me and no salesperson even talked to me. Had to go to the cashier to ask for help she called to the back asking for a salesperson no one came up front or even bothered answering the phone. Good thing I do not Own this store! I would have all new sales people. Plenty of people wanting Jobs!
Bought a Sectional in store and had it delivered/setup in home just now. Delivery was on time, fast setup, and there were no problems in the entire process that impacted the service. Their customer service in store was excellent. Their delivery service was excellent. There are two minor flags* detailed below. I'm writing this to ease any worries you have reading other reviews of Ashley Furniture. I was in the same situation wondering if I would run into problems other reviewers left (delivery date changes/bad customer service). For my experience, I had made a purchase in store and set a date of delivery with an associate. However upon reviewing my documents they had printed out for me and the email receipt, there was no delivery date*. Next, when trying to look up the delivery date confirmation online with my order id, nothing would show up*. Despite this, as they said would happen, three days before delivery date I had made originally they texted confirmation for the day and time. Then they delivered it as described in my first paragraph. Lesson learned: have the associate write down/point out the delivery date on your documents when ordering your furniture.
Jim Hinchliffe took great care of us and we walked out with a patio and a dinning room set! Waiting on the delivery of the dinning room but the patio set is perfect. It was delivered on time and was set up properly. The delivery men were great as well. Jim was very knowledgeable, professional, and even made us coffee! Exceptional customer service. Thank you Jim!!

My wife and I had an excellent experience with John Fleming at this location. He was a true professional and knew the products he was selling very well. John quickly identified our design taste and made some great recommendations on pieces we may like. John answered his phone every time I called and was ever ready to answer our questions, even on his day off. We were purchasing a large amount of furniture and from day one John was able to keep it all straight, even when we made changes throughout the process. Thank you John, we will definitely be back to see you when we need to purchase more furniture in the future!
Purchased dinette set arrived damaged cannot get a hold of anyone to come out to fix the damage also purchased the warranty but that would not apply due to the furniture was already delivered damaged I’ve called the store left messages Website left messages no one returns your call . this furniture was purchased in May and it is already October I would not recommend purchasing anything from them ..I will be contacting the finance company to let them know they can come get their furniture...

Terrible customer service. I ordered a couch cushion cover for a couch I purchased, only to receive a whole section of my couch. Delivery guy was told he “had to leave it” and couldn’t take it back. This left me without the cushion I ordered and half of a couch left sitting in my living room. I called to talk to someone about this and they couldn’t even find my name, phone number, order number, NOTHING. This voided my warranty that I paid $150 for. I eventually (after calling and talking to MULTIPLE people) got this sorted out. Very stressful and frustrating and needless to say I will never purchase through Ashley Furniture in the future.
The worst company! We made our order 3 months ago and still didn’t receive it. Please think wise before you go there. Customer service is super bad I wish we didn’t go there! I feel bad that I bought from them if I can cancel the deal I will do that
I ordered a love seat and couch on July 5th. I was told it would arrive 30 days after purchase. Well it didn’t. They called two days prior to delivery and told me it would be another 35 days. I went down and complained. Ended up getting a good discount and purchased a $4k temperpedic. Then on delivery day for the couch. They never called or showed. I called back in and found out they needed until November for the love seat and the sofa would arrive August 26th. Upon delivery it was dropped and the frame broke. When I called in (1 hour on the phone) they said they would have a tech out there in 2-3 weeks. Tech pulled a no call no show because the Customer care lady never filed the couch was DOD! Now I have to go back in again to handle what should’ve been taken care of months ago. Honestly I’m a retail manager myself so I know what Order of Ops is like. This has been the most atrocious process in my life. I will be request the district managers contact info. Filing a complaint with the BBB. Disputing charges with synchrony. I have been as patient and kind as humanly possible because of the external circumstances. When I told them my wife was pregnant and we had no couch to sit on.. they suggested I get milk cartons... please let that sink in. They told my pregnant wife who purchased 7k worth of product from them to sit on milk cartons.

This was the easiest shopping experience we've ever had. We were looking for theatre seating due to our significant height difference, it is hard to find recliners to fit us both. Our salesman Michael Lynch was awesome. He made the whole experience great. We will be back when we redecorate our outdoor space.
The tables we bought today appear to be a good value and will be delivered in a timely fashion. We bought recliners a couple weeks ago they had a delivery date of Oct 25. We were goi to have the tables and chairs deceivers at same time but found out today chairs won’t be in till Feb 2021. Needs less to say we may cancel chair order.
One must know that once it is delivered to your door and you find defects, you can not return it! You have to go through “their” procedure that takes weeks and once they do determine it is defected they will try to send you parts ( yea wait for another 2-3 weeks). If parts is not an option it is their discretion to give you refund or exchange. Even ikea policy is better.

I bought furniture at Ashley a couple of years ago and was very satisfied. This time I am furnishing a second home I compared prices And quality and once again decided to buy at Ashley. No salesman waiting in the bushes to push a sale. Great people great finds great furniture.
I usually don't check out online reviews, but this time I should have. When they customer service is non existant, its an understatement. We arrived at the store and immediately walked over to what we were looking for. The sales associate approached us and instead of saying hello, she said, "Do you know what you want, because we close in 10 minutes. I realize hours have changed due to COVID, but this is not the way to greet a customer, no matter what. Next time can I recommend saying, we are closing soon, but please look around until we do.
A little overpriced
The worst store management I have ever dealt with the Sales people were great and very helpful on the floor but the way everything was handled after was horrible short story long we had an order from July before the delivery day I called to check on the order because we didn’t have any call back to set the delivery time and I was surprised that we had an issue with the order and it’s been on hold with any heads up nothing, and now we need to wait until the med of October just because they couldn’t do their jobs properly so disappointed
Absolutely the worst managed company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a sofa and loveseat in early July. I was called in mid August and was offered a partial delivery of the sofa on 8/26 since the loveseat would not be available until late September. I said yes please deliver on 8/26 and it ended up being a no call no show. Worst part was that I got rid of my old furniture the day they promised to deliver. I called 5 separate times and was given 5 different dates. At one point the customer service rep on line blamed me for not splitting the order if I wanted a partial delivery! They also said who ever told me this was possible was wrong. I was told on 3 separate occasions that the sofa was at the Brandon warehouse and the loveseat was still backordered. Forward to today, they are now telling me that the couch is not in stock and I will have to wait until 9/16 but no guarantees. ..... so they either flat out lied to me, sent the couch back to China or gave it to someone else. If this company is still in business by the end of the year I will be surprised. The left hand doesn’t now what the right hand is doing. I do have to say the Sarasota store staff appear to be competent and genuinely concerned. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to work for a company so disorganized at the corporate and distribution level. It’s appears they are just along for the ride on this dis functional carnival ride called Ashley Furniture.
They have the absolute WORST customer service I have ever encountered. They only have a 72 hour window for you to call to return your items, even though this is not listed on your receipt and most people do not even assemble their furniture within that time frame. Even if you call them on the same day as the delivery like I did (so within the 72 hour requirement) it will take you WEEKS to even hear whether you will be receiving a return. Once they confirmed that they will take the return, after requiring me to provide a screenshot of my phone log showing I had called them, they had refused to tell me the amount of my return or whether they will try to tack on restocking fees, and what those fees would even be. Their customer service representatives and managers are incompetent and disrespectful. Even the person confirming the pickup of your items is rude and will not care whether they have your information incorrect in the system and they have been sending YOUR information to someone else!!! (As this happened with me, even after spending hours on the phone confirming my information with various representatives, managers, and even delivery drivers.) This return (which was because the items I received did not even look like the photo) was the biggest headache I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service, and this is even coming from someone who has worked years in retail and does not typically complain about bad customer service. This experience was horrendous and I have yet to have the full situation resolved, even after speaking with countless managers. I would not recommend ANYONE to buy from them. You will just be receiving cheap products for a high price and the worst customer service.
Purchased a king size bed frame from here and had multiple problems with it. Each time I called, someone was sent promptly but problem still was there. Only had the bedframe for 6 months and ultimately the problem was a design flaw. The office manager made sure I was credited full amount to pick out another frame l. When I went back to the store to pick out a new bed and John was very helpful and accommodating. Very happy with the customer service I received and hopefully will not have to run into this problem again.
Beyond terrible customer service. We purchased a dining room set which was damaged upon delivery. The company replaced the dining room table and that’s where our problem began. Second table arrived scratched and needed to be fixed. Technician came out to repair and made problem worse by grossly mismatching the touch up. A two (2) inch square area is now a one (1) foot mismatched area. We asked for replacement table again. We and went back and forth with company and they denied replacement after weeks of calling/chatting. Went into the store in Sarasota where we purchased the furniture for customer service assistance. After waiting for awhile we were told by the Stores General Manager it’s not their problem and could not assist in rectify our problem. Finally, Ashley Customer Service sent the technician out again to fix problem, he made it slightly better but still not to our satisfaction. Also, please be aware that most of there product is manufactured and purchased from a off shore country which we did not know until after second table was delivered. This may be a factor why they were unable to adequately match the touch up. It’s very clear to me that Ashley Furniture does not care about there customers satisfaction. Subsequently, I will never shop at any Ashley Furniture Store again and would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Once again beyond terrible customer service.
It was the worst experience ever! We got our furniture damaged and we also were missing a chair for our dinning table which we ordered. Working with Rebecca, the salesperson, was great. She was able to customize a set for us to match our price, and walked us through the entire store multiple times to find what we needed. The furniture was delivered broken though. The delivery team dropped it off, and darted out the door without checking that everything worked. We have spent many hours on hold with the customer service team and have had a technician out twice to try and fix the problem. Both times, the technician had to order a new drawer. Both times, the wrong drawer or the wrong part was delivered. We are attempting to contact them for a THIRD time to get the correct part. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND WE WOULD NEVER HAVE CHOSEN ASHLEY FURNITURE HAD WE KNOWN THIS. WE WON'T BE BACK.

Johnny was our salesman and he was awesome! He helped us with our order so that we could have our bedset delivered on the first of the month as we were moving into our new house. I have tried to do business with this Ashley over a few years now and have been dissatisfied and disappointed each time due to various customer service issues and pricing. This last time we attempted to give them our business was much worse. They have tried to price gouge at an unprecedented rate this time. We were looking for a Tempur-Pedic mattress that started at $2899, but when we went to cash out it all came to $4500 with unneeded up charges that They they claimed were imperative to satisfy the warranty. We stopped that sale and checked those claims that we found to be lies. We found the exact same mattress with frame, delivery, etc... everything included for the full price (tax and delivery included) for $2964 at a local, long term mattress store here in Sarasota the hat we have used before with success. Do your homework and variety their claims before you purchase anything from them.
Terrible customer service paid for expedited delivery for a couch paid over 1800 dollars. Was supposed to have delivery today call customer service they told me july 1st. Save your self the time money and headache go somewhere else

Ashley handled buisness in the on-going Covid -19 with understanding the customers position of not being employed and willing to accommodate their situation. I know my wife and I needed more time to arrange our delivery.

Do not buy furniture from this store or Ashley in general. Horrific customer service. Salesman ordered wrong bed and only one nightstand. Every piece of the set was broken or wrong when delivered. Delivery people were incredibly rude when we pointed it out. Then when we asked them to take the broken items back they left without taking anything. What followed was days and days of hold times and useless customer service reps who did not take ownership. They tried to make us keep the furniture as they have a "no return" policy. Luckily we hadn't signed for the broken items and that makes them required to pick it up which somehow has taken even more days. Be warned, don't ever buy from them.
The store was out of stock of items we were looking for & the items we found on their website couldn't even be pulled up by their sales reps so we couldn't even order them

Went in june 12 to purchase 2 tables for a house I just purchased. They had no less than 4 of the exact same end tables on their showroom floor and was ready to purchase just one of them including another of a similar style. I was told that I couldn't purchase one of the many same tables on display and that it would have to be shipped to me within a week for $60. I explained that I was only in town for 2 more days and wouldn't be around to receive the delivery and was ok with a floor model. The sales rep said the manager wont sell a floor model and thanks for stopping!!!! So I'm new to the area and only in town for 2 days and you let me walk out unsatisfied? You have a retail store for a reason to sell items!!!! If you walk into a car dealership ate you not allowed to buy the car on display? If you walk into a grocery store are you not allowed to walk out with milk? You had atleast 4 of the exact same tables and you want to ship it to me for $60! I've spent over $30k in furniture with Ashley over the course of 20 years of home ownership and will NEVER again! You know there is a problem when the manager doesnt reply to any of the many bad reviews posted on here. Your store manager is horrible!!!
LOVE our living room set, and John Flemming was an amazing sales person, just gives facts and does NOT oversell. However we were contacted to give a model number of a lamp that was included in set, and everytime I call all I get is a VM option after hold time, that gives you 5 seconds of record time, an option to add to message in 5 second intervals and is so frustrating!! All I want to do is give John the model number of lamps he needs but aside from driving back to Sarasota to do so, it is quite impossible to get ahold of anyone or even leave a proper VM!
I purchased some furniture from this store; I later changed my mind (prior to delivery) due to the horrible customer service that I received when working with the salesman and manager. After several attempts to get a full refund for my purchase, I have not received my appropriate refund. Now the manager claims that she can’t locate the order. I would strongly warn anyone against doing business at this establishment. Very unprofessional and shady business practices being conducted there.
After my new new leather power reclining cough and over sized chair were delivered I noticed a small tear in the leather. I contacted Sara ( my sales rep ) and sent a picture Showing the damage. She told me she would start a claim and it would be taken care of. After over a week later I still have not heard anything. Sara is not answering my text messages any longer. I would never recommend this store to any one I know. This is terrible customer service. All they want is to make a sale. After they are paid they don't care about their customers!
UPDATE: Outdoor furniture cushions have started to mildew, even though the set is covered and brought in during big storms. Your warranty won’t cover this. Per the company, mildew stains after a year are perfectly normal. However; if you happen to spill juice all over or burn all the cushions on accident- that’s covered. This place is the worst. Our sales rep Brian was fine, we purchased a bedroom set as well as an outdoor living set. Just a few hours before the scheduled delivery we were informed the bed we order was on back order. We needed a bed right away for my daughter as we have just moved from out of state. In addition the outdoor set that was delivered at 8:30pm (1.5 hours later than their 4 hour time slot) was broken. We tried the store several times regarding both issues, each time the manager Michelle was too busy to talk to us, we tried corporate and was told we need to deal with the store. This went on for days. Finally several days later we were told the bed would be delivered and the outdoor set replaced. Customer service beyond the sales floor is a joke. I would not suggest to use them - which is disappointing because both sets we purchased we love.

Ordered furniture.. no call to set up delivery so I called on the day they had given me at time of purchase and was told I would get a call back... 45 mins later call back and was told half my stuff is on back order and not available until next month.. no courtesy call to inform me of this delay and had taken off work to be home for delivery. Asked for a refund and was told I would get a call back in 10 mins to process it.. hour goes by and I have to call back again. Worst customer service I have had in years from a retailer.
Sales people are great....and were a big help...we bought a mattress and the salesman knew we had a bad mattress in our camper....when they delivered the mattress...the delivery driver did not take the old one...and they stated because we did not tell them we had to get rid of the mattress we had...First of all we didnt know we had to say anything. It should be assumed or asked to the customer....for this reason we gave only 2 stars....now i am stuck with a mattress and will probably have to pay for it myself....Ashley's is being real neaky with this....
HORRIBLE!!! Purchased couches on March 21st they charged my card once and went to pending the $618 was taken out of my account never seen again. We got the couches delivered April 2nd and one of the couches is broken, I called that day to let them know. I was told April 9th someone would be at my house...nobody showed up. Then had to call them and figure it out, they rescheduled for April 23rd got the text and email. Again nobody showed up. They texted me again apologizing to then schedule it for May 5th guess what...yup never showed up! Woke up May 4th to see they took out $618 again making me negative. I called customer service and questioned why I was charged twice she then proceeded to tell me it was declined twice BUT as it states on the confirmation email and as she stated they charge your account again the day of delivery. I questioned why nobody called me and told me it declined she told me “I don’t know” I said bad communication on your end she said yes guess so. Again April 2nd was delivery, I’ve had my couches over a month. I asked her how did they deliver my couches if it wasn’t paid for...again “I don’t know.” She then said they charged it May 1st and was approved I asked how was it approved with no money in the account and declined every other time with no money in it? Again she said “I don’t know.” I told her I would be disputing this with my bank as I already paid she said to me “you won’t win.” What kind of agent says that for one, I told her sure I will I have all the proof. I was then transferred to another lady in regards to the times nobody showed up she put me on hold for 20 min to then hang up! So not only did they steal from me, they sold me broken furniture won’t fix it and will not take responsibility for charging me multiple times even tho I have proof. Should have known something was up when the delivery guy stopped us from opening it up before he left. I will get my lawyers involved if that is what it takes...
Edit: It has been 1 year since my delivery and I am still extremely happy with my purchase! I have no issues with any pieces of furniture (bed, 2 dressers and 2 night stands). Having been let down by a different seller, this experience was much more pleasant. Julie was patient, thoughtful and personable. She took her time to price out numerous different sets for me and did not pressure me into purchasing the most expensive set; which is very appreciated. I am in sales myself and can easily spot deceptive practices. I did not get the typical “sales jerk” vibes I’ve gotten in the past. I am set up for delivery and will update my review once that happens! I am very pleased with the purchase experience in the showroom and would recommend Julie to both friends and family.
While looking for a sofa, I stopped in and Boswell, B was my design consultant. Very informative and helpful. The last star is missing because I did not buy (sofa was to big for my 1 bedroom apartment) and I did not go through the full purchasing phase. So I don't know the full experience.

Wow!!! We had an amazing experience today with Johnny Leon! He helped us furnish our brand new home!! He was patient while we switched between different bed sets, and couches and priced everything out!! 10/10 recommend this store!
If I could give 0 starts I would. I had a delivery on my bedroom set on 03/01 and a handle was missing on my dresser. It is now 03/21 and I have not received that and a missing candle holder. I have called this store 3 times and told me they would ship it. Asked today and they don’t even have a tracking number and send me to call another number. Don’t waste your time and shop Rooms to go. They called me 30 minutes later to tell me of everything was ok. That’s customer service. Oh and the lady that answers the phone saids there was no store manager. She is useless. Shop somewhere else

DONT do it!!!! Weve had nothing much issues each time weve purchased from this exact location. They fail to tell you crucial information about anything and everything. Such as, their warranty plan, the no returns in this store, and even delivery options. Theres always an issue each time weve ever purchased from them. Weve had issues the first time around and felt like maybe it was just a mess up/ bad sales person, after spending close to 15 grand in store we decided to give another chance to only be just as unhappy as we were the first time around. Also if going into store over an issue that occurs and then being spoken to in such a disrespectful manner isnt bad enough, they lie straight to your face.
Just adding one star is not even worth it. Walked into this Ashley B.S furniture on February 7 2020 with my grandmother looking for a leather loveseat, we found the perfect one. The sales witch told us the loveseat would be delivered on February 23 2020 and they'll call 3 days before to confirm the delivery. No one ever called so I called the warehouse and found out the phone number was put in wrong, I'm not surprised since the young sales rep chick was in a hurry putting in the information. Well talking to the warehouse I was told they don't understand why they would sell me something the dont even have in stock, I was told. That they haven't had that loveseat in stock for a while and don't know when they will so I called the store to cancel the order since it's been nearly a month and they either wouldn't return or answer my calls smh what a shame. So It's February 25 2020 and decided to show up at the store to cancel the order but I have to call a different place because I was charged for the first payment for nothing. What a waste of time. This place is a joke.

Will never shop here again. They force you to pay for outrageous delivery fee by not standing by damaged pieces if you choose free delivery. They will not repair or replace if you pick up yourself or choose free delivery. Plus when you sign to agree to purchase they tie it in to you agreeing to text and or voice telemarketing. Salesperson said you can not decline telemarketing and only agree to purchase you have to agree to both. Very deceptive underhanded methods. Will not go back or recommend. Shame on you!!! It doesn’t say much for your products if you stoop so low in your dealings with your customers.

The desk girl that checked us out was wonderful too, can’t remember her name, but friendly and kind also. Great store and great people, at least those we had helping us.

Great selection and prices! We had visited a few other stores however the selection and quality just didn’t compare to Ashley. At first I/we didn’t feel comfortable with our salesperson Julie, however that soon changed and we would like to thank her for tolerating me/us. We are excited and can not wait until Friday for our delivery! The Wrights Note; to our surprise we have encountered a problem with the leather on the couch and repeated calls haven’t been returned! So much for paying for quality and paying for the extended warranty. Will update this review should the situation change!

I had a terrible experience with this store. I fully paid for a dresser and two end tables on No ember 1st. One end table was defective. I spoke with the warehouse that day and they said they would send a new nightstand. After three visits to the main store on South Tamiami and several phones calls and a promise that my new nightstand would be delivered December 23, the delivery man said he was there to Pick Up a nightstand! I was very angry and had to get nasty with the store. Finally it was delivered three days later. I will never shop there again.
My wife and I spent $4500 with this company just to have them deliver half of the furniture unboxed and soiled. They use 3rd party movers who are overworked and obviously have no respect for your property, forcing Furniture parts through the front door damaging our front entryway of our brand new. I've been back and forth with Ashley's business office who continues not to address the issue but only to send me going in circles with phone numbers that dont get answered or returned. I hold Ashley responsible for these workers damage and will continue to press them on fixing my damaged front entry to our newly purchased home, Or providing me with the funds to do so.
I love Ashley home store. I got a beautiful living room set and it was a really good price plus I got 12 months no interest. They even have 5 years no interest. How can you go wrong. They have a nice selection of real nice furniture. I would recommend this store.
This is our 2nd time making 2 Big purchases for our Winter home here in Sarasota. The store is beautiful the staff are well dressed very knowledgeable and easy going. Good quality at an affordable price.
They are not knowledgeable about their products and will not return calls from so called store management. Customer service is a joke. Was delivered a couch on 12/24 and we called and was told this was incorrect couch and would send the correct one. Could not figure out the reclining. Sent pictures in. Fast forward same couch was delivered. Now trying to send another couch for tomorrow. After talking with 2nd delivery guys the pull is on the inside of the couch. Never buying anything from them again. Im sure this post will be deleted.
It was the worst experience ever! We got our furniture damaged and we also were missing a chair for our dinning table which we ordered. They fixed damaged furniture after 3 weeks of delivery and we still don't have our chair and its been over a month.. People at the store is rude, they were constantly transferring me to corporate but corporate was transferring me back to their store... Its just a joke...People in this company doesn't know how to take care of customers and their own business...I can't believe it's one of the largest companies in the USA....
No one greeted me or even approached me during my 30-40 minutes in the store looking for a sofa. I also felt the selection of sofas was limited, probably because no one assisted me. Disappointed.

The worst experience of my life. Please understand when you buy anything from Ashley furniture they are not responsible for the delivery or anything that happens with the delivery. If they do not arrive on the appropriate day that you signed the contract at the Ashley home store it is not the home stores fault and you have to call Brandon Florida their delivery service and speak to them. I've spent four days on hold and calling to find out where my mattresses that I ordered two weeks ago and I still do not have it and I'm flying out today and have already paid for the mattress. Please do not trust them and do not purchase ever from Ashley home store because they are not responsible for getting anything to your house. They will hold your money because you already paid!
Bought about 6000$ worth of furniture back in September and was lied to about the financing.. but that's not what I want to talk about.. I added a recliner to the delivery via a wire transfer as I was in Tampa at the time moving to Sarasota and didn't want to drive back down. It was never delivered went to the store and put it on my credit card and was told the money would be refunded to me. It never was. It's been since the first week of September and never have heard back from you guys. Called customer service before Thanksgiving and opened a case and was assured someone would be in touch with me.. ofcourse it's been about a month since then and no contact. I am now going to file a police report as well as a grievance with the BBB. You have stolen money from me charging me twice for one piece of furniture. I hope many people read this review as this is the worst business I have ever seen in my life. No one does their job there and they're thiefs. If I could give negative stars I would.

What a joke this whole process was. Wife went in to purchase a sofa chase. Never given a receipt and the told a delivery date that initially would've bee. Perfect. Got a text the next day saying the delivery date was for a different date which wouldn't work. Called and rescheduled for a date someone would be home which was today. My wife cleared her schedule and waited patiently at home for the delivery. Never showed, so I called and was told the delivery was scheduled for the following week.... cancelled the order and will not be shopping at Ashely Furniture stores anymore.
Do not Buy from this store and before pay money they are sweet and after paid they are really rude. before order from store they said we have all in stock and when we get delivery they said we don't have in stock and you can get after 2 weeks. i called in store and said need to talk to manager and medi said he is busy without asking him. never buy from this store anymore. worst service ever.... don't buy or order from this store.
The woman at the front, Julie August was pushy and told me she was here to “shop with me” until I mentioned I lived in a different state, she immediately cut me off and said no before I asked her a question. This is why I don’t like shopping at furniture stores because they’re always too pushy and when they know you won’t give them commission, they stop helping.

Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Went to the local showroom back in September, and told them I was looking for a bedroom set, and that I needed something that day, or the following day. The sales associate said there was no way they’d be able to get me a set by my deadline. So I went a mile down the road and purchased a set elsewhere. Immediately after buying the set at the other furniture store, I went straight back to Ashley to buy a mattress that I was shown when I was there earlier. As soon as I walked in the door, the sales associate said he was just about to call me because they had the set that I wanted at the warehouse, and that they could deliver it the next day. I stated that I had literally just purchased a set at another store because of my time dilemma. He asked if I would be willing to do business with them if they delivered the following day. I honestly liked the Ashley set better, and as much as I hated to do so, I went to the parking lot, called the other store, and canceled my order. I walked back in and told the sales associate that I had canceled my other order, and I would buy the set for him. The following day I’m running errands because I had just moved, and I’m waiting to hear from the delivery guys. By 3 o’clock, I finally call the store to see what’s going on. The lady on the phone tells me that due to “unforeseen circumstances” my bedroom set did not make it on the truck. After telling her numerous times that it was unacceptable, I ask to speak to the manager, whom I believe is named Nabill. The lady just kept naming different dates as to when they could deliver my furniture, and I keep asking to speak with Nabill. Mind you, I still to this day have not heard from him. So I decide to call the warehouse manager who is in Tampa. (1hour north of me). He was very nice, and told me he was sending me $200 in gift cards for my troubles. I had taken the day off to get this furniture delivered, so I tell him that I was on my way to Home Depot to rent a truck, and drive there to get it myself. As soon as I hang up, the receptionist lady from the local store calls me and has the audacity to tell me that they were willing to knock $50 off of my delivery fee. By this point I’m so irritated, I (not so politely) tell her that they will be refunding my ENTIRE delivery fee, considering that I was on my way to RENT a truck, and go get it myself. She tells me that that is not her call, and I tell her once again, to have the manager call me. So they finally agree to refund my $100 delivery fee, and send me an additional $50 gift card. My refund check FINALLY showed up about 6 weeks later, and I have yet to see my $200 in gift cards from corporate, nor my $50 gift card from the store. Also, while unboxing my dresser, I find the corner of a drawer to be cracked, and the corner of my mirror frame to be chipped. I did receive a drawer replacement, but have now been told twice that someone would be coming out to “repair” my brand new mirror. Have not heard anything. This service is absolutely ridiculous.

Julie was absolutely 'The Best' design consultant we have ever worked with, and after seven moves that is truly saying something. Julie's expertise combined with her overall depth of design knowledge is surpassed only by her friendly personality and her desire to make sure we were completely satisfied! She guided us through selecting and coordinating our living room, dining room, master and guests bedrooms along with lanai furnishing. And delivery for most pieces was only a week away. Ashley HomeStore is a great place to shop and Julie August is top notch all the way, you can expect the best when you work with her!

I ordered a whole house of furniture for a vacation home from Sarasota store. It has been one delivery error after another. Through this process the Sarasota store manager and my salesman do not return my calls for assistance. When I do get ahold of the warehouse they say one thing and do another. They just can't get it right. I sure someone from Ashley that has authority to make this right would look up my account and reach out to fix the worst customer service I ever experienced. They were going to correct a delivery this morning so I had my sister go wait for them since I am not there now. They delivered the wrong furniture again. Not just once. The level of incompetence and disregard to make it right are mind blowing. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I ordered my items on the phone and had to go to the store to pay because they won't except credit cards on the phone. Steven did the phone and Pia helped me in the store. Pia was delightful from greeting me till finishing up, making sure I understood everything.
Our Ashley rep, Julie August, was fantastic and made the furniture buying experience enjoyable and stress free. She was courteous to our style requests and showed us quality material for our kitchen, dining room, and master bedroom. Highly recommend visiting Ashley for their quality goods, reasonable pricing, sales, and high customer service employees.

After a 6 week wait on a loft bed purchase I was notified of an additional 3week delay. When walking in to the store to discuss, I learned of a several month delay because all the pieces were not ready. How on earth can you sell a product and not have pieces ready. Was this a test of who might be interested in your product? The same loft bed is selling for $300 more. Are the customers who purchased at the higher price getting orders fulfilled quicker? Sure does feel like it. I was awaiting a call today from the Sales Manager (Nabill) who unfortunately gave the dirty work to Associate Steve. There is a principal behind customer service. You have lost a customer. I have cancelled my order and will be going elsewhere. It’s unfortunate because I have purchased from Ashley multiple times in the past. It takes one poor experience for business to be lost.

Stay away! the furniture does not last. If you call in or have an issue good luck finding someone who cares after you have already purchased! You are better off going and spending a few more dollars at a better store. They will try to sell you a warranty that is worthless do not buy it. My couch is 1 year and and 1 month old, called in claim for cushions being flat and couch looking terrible. I am out of luck. I would never buy anything from here again. Very disappointed in customer service and warranty company. Its a third party warranty so Ashley does not care.

I wouldn’t recommend buying furniture at this store, we bought a bedroom set for our two kids. The buying process was pretty normal however getting our delivery has been a very stressful process. The delivery guys didn’t speak much English they were speaking amongst themselves in our house in their native language. I had a very hard time explaining what I wanted to them & they were obviously not experienced. All in all we’ve dealt with Missing pieces Damaged and defective furniture Undelivered furniture Bad communication When I called to get help I spoke with Christina and Madison both who told me the store manager “ Kenyatta” would call me back tomorrow And each day I never got a call back Haven’t spoke to the manager still... & It’s been about three weeks now. I’ve had to buy a mattress off amazon so my kid has a place to sleep.
Ashley was great. I was buying my first new couch and they made it easy and inexpensive. I was a bit sad I couldn't get the advertised next day delivery when purchasing at 1:30pm but I guess that is why they call it fine print. 🤨🤔. My salesman was amazing and tried to get the furniture delivered but was unable to. So I had to live with getting my new couch on Monday instead of enjoying it Sunday.

I was shopping for a coffee table and two end tables for a beachfront rental. We need the items to provide storage also- space is very tight! I had chosen a square “double trunk” style coffee table. It will be placed in front of a pull- out sofa. Julie pointed out that my chosen piece is very heavy to move and a piece on casters might be better. I settled on a similar style that is much lighter and Julie advised me to get a rug that is smooth to help on the occasions the couch is opened. After looking at many side tables that could provide big drawers for storage, Julie pointed out that the end tables that match the coffee table would look best, even though they had doors/shelves and not drawers. I found deep baskets in the Ashley store to place inside and they will function just like drawers. Julie made sure I got a great discount and explained all the details of delivery (including no return policy so be sure I look it over closely when I accept delivery). I’m so grateful Julie pointed out how heavy the first coffee table was - I can just imagine the complaints I would have gotten! So glad she convinced me to work with the matching end tables instead of running all over town and the internet trying to find something that might look odd anyways! Thank you Julie! You’re the best!!!
I bought a couch that was uncomfortable, called Ashley’s Furniture was transferred a bunch of times to learn return policy is only ok for online orders instead of buying in store. I wanted to exchange the couch for another Ashley couch manager never called me back, I was told 4 different stories. Will NEVER buy from them again. Horrible customer service. Low qualify furniture 2 weeks and the seats were already sinking in.

Updated review: almost 2 years after purchase, we finally decide to utilize the unlimited cleaning service that the sales representative advised us to purchase. We recently had some renovations done to the interior of our house and despite covering the furniture with plastic, the cloth on the sectional, Ottoman, and loveseat all managed to pick up a fair amount of construction dust. I called to schedule a cleaning and the company advised me that general cleaning is not covered, only spot cleaning. This stands in stark contrast with what the sales representative told me. Unfortunately I have to rate this place at least one star because zero stars are not possible. I will advise again, do not spend your money at Ashley! Original review: After being in the store for 5 hours with my 2 kids treating me like a jungle gym, apparently I was told that purchases can not be returned (at least the customer service woman I spoke with insisted that I was - I don't recall this). When the furniture was delivered, it was obvious that it wasn't a good fit in the room and my wife and I even talked about it with the delivery guys. They just kind of shrugged and went about their business. So, I called and was told that furniture can't be returned (again, apparently). They absolutely would not budge. I told my wife we'd just have to make it work for the next 5 years... you know... looking like sh*t... And then the delivery guys left. Then, I received a phone call a few days later to check and see if I was happy and of course I said that I wasn't. At all. I explained the situation and she asked "why didn't you refuse the delivery?" WHAT!?! THAT WAS AN OPTION!?!?! I told her that neither the delivery guys nor the customer service rep told me this was an option and now I was even MORE upset. A company which does NOT give an option to return something that simply doesn't work in a room, yet costs thousands of dollars, is NOT a customer-centric company. We purchased $16,000 worth of furniture and will NOT ever purchase from them again even though we still need about that much more furniture for our house in the next year or two. Oh, additionally, two pieces of furniture showed up damaged and our bed was either built incorrectly or put together incorrectly and the mattress doesn't lie flat as a result. One corner at the head of the bed is about 2" higher than the other 3 corners. Someone is supposed to be here in 2 days (2 weeks after it was delivered) to fix it. I don't have the highest of hopes... probably because I've been sleeping like garbage for the last couple of weeks thanks to their incompetence.

My wife and I were very happy . We went to Ashley Homestore looking for a special piece of furniture and artificial fireplace. We were greated at the door by Dianna Hudson who understood what we were looking for and immediately showed us the perfect items we were looking for band gave us a good price in our budget so we bought the two items are very happy and intend on buying other furniture there in the near future.

We bought over $5,000 worth of furniture from the store about two years ago Recently, we noticed some seams on our couch and chair opening up with staples showing. We also noticed one of the ottoman's cushions lopsided and completely out of shape. We had purchased a five year protection plan on these items. I was remiss in not reading the agreement and found out it did not cover manufacturing defects on our furniture. It was also never explained to us by our salesman, what the protection plan covered. When I reached out to our salesman, Christian, to inform him of our grievances we were told that the manufacturer's warranty was only for 12 months. We were not told this at time of purchase. The store and the salesman assumed no responsibility to remedy this sutuation. I was told by our salesman that we could come to the store and speak with him personally but there was no mention of any resolution to our problem. There are only two of us using this furniture so wear and tear is minimum. We just thought after spending a lot of money at this store some allowance could have been made to repair these items. This is not good customer service and we don't think furniture should start to fall apart in such a short period of time. The store should assume some responsibility for this situation. Went in to find a power recliner that also lifts for my 89 year old father. Eli Gonzalez greeted me as I entered and was very courteous and helpful. After demonstrating several chairs I made my selection and got a great deal. I would highly recommend this store and particularly Eli for any of your furniture needs. Unfortunately I must edit my previous 5 star review. The above lift recliner that I purchased for my 89 year old fathers nursing home room broke. I know things break and no one can predict that. The chair has a 5 year warranty and no cost parts and labor for the first year. The chair is 7 months old so I should be good. I called the Sarasota store and was told a technician would be there in 3 days to fix or replace it. I was grateful since my dad was stuck in his wheelchair all day while it is broken. Well, the technician had an “emergency “ and I was told they would reschedule and call back with a date and time. I waited 5 days and no call so I called back and got another appointment which was also cancelled the day before it was supposed to be. My next alleged appointment is August 7 if it happens at all. This will be a month since my first call. I couldn’t leave my dad in his wheelchair any longer and purchased him a new lift chair from a local small business medical supply store which I should have done in the first place. If it breaks, the owner assured me he will be there within 24 hours to fix it. Anything can break or malfunction. As long as a business provides good service and honors their warranties in a timely manner you can’t really ask for more than that. Ashley HomeStores has not done that. I caution people that may be thinking about buying from them. Go find a locally owned small business and you’ll probably find the kind of customer service you are looking for.

We searched for furniture for our new home in Venice, Florida in many different “quality” furniture stores and nothing compared to Ashley! We love our new living room set and can’t wait for the rest of our rooms to arrive! Best part of our Ashley experience was our sales consultant Julie August! From the moment we met she was pleasant, funny, informative and extremely knowledgeable of her inventory. Julie never pushed or rushed us into a sale, but rather she really listened to exactly what we were looking for and showed us pieces that would work with our home instead of trying to pad the bill with items we didn’t need or want. Julie was so great that I’ve been back 4 times for additional pieces around our home! July has become my “personal furniture guru”...she’s the best! We also worked with the floor Manager Michelle and she was amazing too! I can’t wait to furnish another room with Julie!
Becca* was super! She listened to my needs and wants showed me everything that I wanted to look at. She didn’t pressure me for what she that I should have and she listened to what I wanted. She made me happy and she did what I wanted which was best for me and not the store or her commission. I will definitely be back to see her in the near future, she has a customer for life.

I recently moved from Chicago to Sarasota I went to Ashley to look for a mattress. Was geeeted as I walked in by Julie August, who was not only one of the most helpful, knowledgeable and personable designer/ sales people I have ever worked with, but she was very welcoming to me as a new resident of this area. I ended up buying two high end mattresses instead of one. Julie, is indeed, a wonderful asset to Ashley Furniture!
This is my second time at this Ashley location. Each time I had Jules who I will ask for every time. I am a contractor in Sarasota county renting and flipping homes...RGRGRV, LLC. I truly like Ashley furniture for furnishing and staging. But the real attraction is customer service. Jules or Julie as is her name is the best. We had a great associate Becca yesterday. She was so nice and understanding of us with our two kids and they were wandering around and playing. Nothing out of hand. Becca kept saying no worries it’s fine. Today we go to make the payments and final order. Had another sales associate and we r sitting with our kids in front of us and Julie came over and started arguing with us and telling my kid to not move stuff as I tried to tell her we had the plastic cover she walked off and didn’t even look back at us and waved her hand up in the air. I felt very disrespected and would have left if not about to sign papers already. And then the manager came to the section across from us and just started watching us. We were not being disruptive and we picked up everything before leaving as we did yesterday. If u don’t want families to come with kids and buy furniture put a sign at the door and we will take our money somewhere else gladly.
James and Michelle went above and beyond to make us happy customers. They took the time to make sure that we found the perfect furniture to fit our needs.
I wish I could give Negative stars. I bought over 10 grand in furniture back in Feb. I bought it all at the same time. I have had multiple deliveries and each one brought something scratched and damaged or just the wrong item all together. I watched as the delivery people dropped a bookcase off the back of the truck and then tried to get me to take delivery of it and that they would send a technician to fix it. I have called multiple times to fix these issues and been very patient. The store manager does not like to return phone calls and has yet to fix this issue. I still am waiting for two pieces that were messed up to be replaced. I have had 9 deliveries off one order. Make sure to check everything that you buy before they bring it in because odds are that you will find scratches or defects. I had something damaged on every single delivery. I got to the point where I told them not to bring it in until they checked it. The delivery people even found marks before even getting me to check it. The first delivery I received the guys marked up my walls and banged the furniture up and down my stair case walls. They say they are going to fix it but don’t return phone calls and drag their customers out. I will NEVER BUY ASHLEYS AGAIN! It’s constructed cheap and scratches easily. Make sure to check the quality in the showroom don’t just take my word for it. Like my father always said, “You get what you pay for.” Cheaper is cheaper for a reason! There is a reason their furniture is what you find in the rent a centers. It’s all particle board and fake wood that is made as cheaply as they can make it. Check your furniture well!!! Once you accept it it’s yours! Do not agree to have a technician come fix or replace it. You will end up a horror case like me. Sometimes being the nice guy and doing what is suggested is not the best. If you don’t accept the product they will be quicker to replace it and deliver it.

After a scouting visit in mid May, we returned to make a purchase of dining chairs that we found were excellent for our dining table and overall decor. From the time we entered the store through to our purchase we were treated very well and without any sense of sales pressure. Michael Lynch, our sales associate, not only handled our chair purchase but also showed us mattresses, something we also need, but were so locked in on chairs that we totally missed the floor area for mattresses!! We were able to complete two items on our furniture list, and were very pleased with our selections and the value for our dollars!!
WE WILL DEFINITELY NEVER PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE EVER AGAIN. We have had several issues with our sectional couch purchased May 2018 from the Sarasota, FL location. Each time the furniture had been delivered, there has been damage to at least one piece of the set: Original delivery: The main 3-seat portion was warped. Second delivery: The product came dirty and smudged. Third delivery: There was a staple sticking out of the fabric (still has not been resolved) Fourth delivery: Several issues were detected with the couch (They were even pointed out by the delivery drivers). Fifth (and last) delivery: The end piece had staples sticking out of it as well as a discolored spot on the end piece... (as well as another imperfection) and this time, the delivery driver was extremely rude and very unprofessional, and he even refused to exchange the piece and wouldn't even give us an opportunity to properly inspect it. He left abruptly (leaving our door wide open) after making some very rude and disparaging comments. We have been dealing with this issue for over a year now, which has taken up a lot of our time and has caused some scheduling conflicts with our family.At one time, I even asked the store management at the Sarasota location for a complete refund, but they rejected that request altogether. WE WILL BE LOOKING ELSEWHERE for our future furniture purchases.

Great place to find furniture! Our salesperson (Alli) was so helpful through out the whole experience. We ended up getting several things and were quite happy. The staff there are all really helpful, we have been back twice since then. What’s great there is no pressure!!
We ordered a tv console a month ago that was $700 and when it was delivered it was damaged. The bottom front piece was cracked, the handles were scratched, and the door wouldn’t stay closed. We contacted Ashley immediately 2 wks later a tech came out to assess the damages. He said he could drill it and put some glue the crack but that it would be noticeable. This was not acceptable to me for a brand new $700 tv console. I refused the repair and told him I wanted it exchanged. Since then we have received the run around. I was told the manager approved it for exchange and that I would be contacted in a few days. I never heard back. I called back in today and they didn’t have any notes about the other 3 times I had called in. Up until now, the ladies at the service desk have been helpful but I’m tired of dealing with this now. It’s horrible service when customers have to track down the company that sent them defective merchandise. It’s been a month now and I’m waiting once again. The manager is supposed to call me back but I’m not holding my breath. We will never buy from Ashley again due to this. I would think twice before considering them. If the manager follows thru with her promise of replacing our console, I will update this review. The salesman that helped us was nice and so was the one lady at the front desk. I don’t believe this is their fault.

Update - early - June 2019 After many phone calls (and many unreturned calls), we were able to straighten out our bill (items 2, 3, & 4 below). The misunderstanding was my fault and not the fault of Ashley Sarasota. So, sorry to Ashley Sarasota. It's shouldn't be this hard, and I don't feel that I'm out of the woods yet, therefore, only upping my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. BTW - THE PRICES WERE FANTASTIC. Ashley Sarasota met or beat most any prices I was able to find on the web. Late May 2019 - original post I purchased an entire house of furniture in April 2019 for delivery in early May 2019. The sales experience was excellent, the delivery and post sales experiences have been TERRIBLE. 1. Multiple pieces of furniture were damaged upon delivery 2. the charge card has not been charged properly 3. the charges to the card do not match the invoice 4. I'm not able to remove those charges from the card 5. the credit card company (Synchrony) is impossible to work with (only email) and the email replies are cut and paste (can tell by the use of different fonts in different paragraphs) 6. delivery of replacements are scheduled without consulting me 7. furniture that I did not purchase is trying to be delivered 8. many, many calls to the store and corporate customer service go un-returned or if returned, I need to restart the entire experience from the beginning The lack of good, post sales follow-up indicates to me the sale is much more important than post sales customer service. I have had great experience with Ashley here in NY, but not so much in Sarasota. If things get resolved, I will adjust my review, but at this point, I can not recommend.
Just edited my review. After two years of owning furniture from Ashley, it has mostly fallen apart. Very low quality. The expensive protection plans i purchased are no good because the company who backs them wont even answer the phone. The one time i did manage to get someone on the phone we got "disconnected" after several minutes of me explaining the various problems i had. They never answered the phone again. I went to the store and the manager basically said it wasn't their problem and maybe i should email the warranty company instead of calling. That didnt work either. If you must buy things from here DON'T buy the protection plan, its a scam. 3 weeks after leaving this review i received a letter informing me that my ashley account is being closed. Zero balance on the account, paid off 5 months early. Somebody cant take criticism.
Christian, the sales rep gave a nice greeting and offered to help find all that was needed/wanted for my new home. He even went above and beyond in many ways. I have moved quite a bit in the last few years and I have never had the help he gave in other stores. Exceptional experience to the new state!

We had a great experience shopping at the Sarasota store. Our sales consultant Jim was friendly and worked hard for us to get the best deal and he was very knowledgeable in all the product questions we had.
We love Ashley Furniture. Over the years we have bought quite a few pieces from them. The only thing preventing me from giving the store a 5-star review is the incredibly rude and shockingly accusatory attitude of the manager. We had an issue where we bought what we were assured was a queen sleeper sofa, and silly us, we believed them. So, imagine our dismay when a few months later we opened up the sofa to discover it wasn't even a full-sized mattress. We called the store to ask some questions to see if in fact we had received the correct product and were appalled at the horrible attitude of the manager. While trying to merely ask questions to get to the bottom of the confusion, she was incredibly rude from the beginning, immediately blaming us for not discovering the problem sooner. She had no interest in the fact that we only purchased this sofa on the misrepresentation of her sales person, and even stated that she did not believe our recollection of what the salesperson had told us. This after her repeatedly blowing off calling us back for nearly a week. We highly recommend Ashley Furniture, but go to another store in the State of Florida if you want to buy from them.

Called about a sectional I saw online but was out-of-stock. Spoke with Sarah who tried to track one down for me. Sarah offered to show me an in- stock sofa with similar fabric and construction. I came into the store and Sarah took the time to show me the similar sofa but at no time did she try to up- sell me. She could have made more of a commission steering me towards another piece of furniture but she listened to my needs and helped me as much as she could. Because she was so helpful and honest, she got my sale!
The sales person was great. Left us alone to think when we asked him to and came right over when we had questions. He even stayed late to make sure we got everything right. Haven’t received the furniture yet but they had very nice and sturdy pieces at great prices.

Do not make a purchase from Ashley HomeStore. My husband and I shopped mattresses on two visits to the Sarasota store. Each time, the same saleswoman assisted us. When we finally decided on our purchase, it was under her advisement to purchase the more expensive mattress of the two we were considering because "the Serta mattress may be returned if dissatisfied" whereas the Ashley brand was not returnable. After trying the mattress for 3 days, we returned to the store to pursue a refundable return. We were told by the manager that the mattress was exchangeable, not refundable. The saleswoman was brought into the discussion after we explained what we were told by her. She stated that we should have known Serta's mattress policy. We stated we did not receive the policy in writing and that she had misrepresented the policy. She stated that the policy is available on Serta's website and the store no longer provides copies of it. The store would not permit us to return the mattress for a refund. We have subsequently learned through reading other customer reviews that the store does not allow any type of refund on furniture or accessories, only exchanges.
I worked with Nancy Apatow to get my new bedroom set and it was nothing but a great experience! They were all super helpful. I Will definitely buy from them again.

I had a great experience at this location with Sarah Beavers. I went there unsure of exactly what I wanted, but I was in need of a bed. I saw a trunk in a style I liked and Sarah helped me find a bed that was beautiful in that style. It was discontinued, but she helped me find what I was looking for in their warehouse. She was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. I also received a thank you card in the mail and really appreciated her extra touch with customer service. I highly recommend her!
My 5 star review is for Kenyatta located in the Ashley store on south Tamiami. She works in customer service. I chose to call the store as the 800 customer service is so busy the wait is over 20 min. Kenyatta was so pleasant I actually believed she was happy to help me! A less than 2 month old pair of upholstered chairs are unusable due to back legs being wobbly and not secured. Kenyatta quickly put my information in database for repair. She promised to get back to me with a date the same day. And she did as promised and was going to try to get someone here sooner. I have had many experiences with others working in customer service and have rarely had anyone as efficient, with such excellent communication and a positive attitude. She turned an unhappy experience completely around. I hope her supervisor reads this. She is gold!

We set out to tour 4 different stores today . Ashley’s was our first stop. Since we were Very happy with Jim we didnt go anywhere else ! Jim was very knowledgeable about mattresses and the way our bodies respond to them. He was able to help us with our different sleeping issues and helped us pick out the appropriate mattress. We purchased a medium and firm twin XL to make our king Sealy memory foam. It can be a confusing purchase with all the choices - Jim was patient and extremely helpful!!

Very dissatified with service. We have a condo in Sarasota. Ordered a patio set mid December 2018. Because of short windows of being present in Sarasota, scheduled delivery for our next visit on Feb 7th. Received email confirmation for delivery on specified date days prior. On Feb 6th received email stating set on back order and cannot deliver until Feb 15th . I called on Feb 1st to assure all was still on schedule but never received a call back. We will not be available with uncertain return date to our condo. After multiple calls to store and never got a return call to verify or clarify. Had to cancel order and request a refund as we already paid in full and staff was indifferent about it. Very disappointed . They had ample time to prepare and assure the order should be available. Felt like just another # / sale. Our Sales person Nancy later called and offered to help and accept delivery in our future absence but this would not work for our situation so we had to run out and purchase another set.We're upset with Ashley as a company. They had ample time to make sure this would happen.
I really liked this store. I’m just moving to the area, and Tyler helped me pick out what I needed, fast. I never felt pressured to buy more than I wanted, or to buy more expensive items. Frankly, it was refreshing. I’ll definitely be back.
Ashley Homestore had the bedroom set that we were looking for. Sarah, our sales consultant, didn't pressure us at all while we were looking. She did a great job getting us the best price which made our experience even better!

Our recent experience purchasing a new bedroom set was great…until Ashley had our money. From the minute we received our delivery, we have had nothing be the worst customer service experience. If you want to gamble on your furniture being delivered as you ordered it without damage, I wish you the best of luck. If you are like us and needed to deal with customer service because every single piece you ordered is damaged, incorrectly delivered or you’re missing pieces entirely you will regret ever having stepped in Ashley’s front door. I apologize for the length of this review but for those making a decision to spend thousands of dollars, I urge you to read on or just trust us and find another option. On delivery day, the install crew was nice but very rushed as we were the last stop of the day. By the time we had an opportunity to look at our furniture, they had already taken off down the street. Immediately we knew they gave us the wrong mattress entirely and only delivered 1 of our 2 nightstands. We later discovered issue after issue with the rest of the furniture. Everything would have been great had we not had to deal with customer service. Anytime you call the corporate number for service, you can expect a minimum of 30-45 min of hold time before speaking to anyone and just hope you don’t get disconnected by their system (happens to us 2 out of 3 attempts). In addition to what was wrongly delivered or not at all, every single other piece had issues; drawers where the glides just fell apart, drawers that hit the frame every time you open them, a headboard that was missing a 6’ section of the decorative finish, not to mention the scratches that we were later told were just part of the “rustication”…not a chance, these were blatant scratches. After multiple unsuccessful attempts through the corporate call number, we tried the local store. Call after call, we got sent in circles explaining to person after person our issues with little to no results. We sent photos of all our issues to Ashley and it wasn’t until we got lucky and got to speak with one of the sales managers at the store that he helped resolve some of our issues such as correcting the mattress and nightstand. Upon receiving our correct mattress, we notified the manager that our box springs were also wrong as they were supposed to be a lower profile as what they gave us sets our mattress at 38” off the floor. We are in our early 30s and struggle to get on this bed not to mention our kids, dog or anyone else. This is not practical. We have been calling the corporate number multiple times a day only to be disconnected, told we need to speak with the store, or told all their supervisors are not available to speak with us for various excuses and they will “call us back”…not 1 returned call this whole process. When we call the store, the receptionist does what she can to schedule repairs on our “new” furniture but for when we need to speak with a manager, they mysteriously are all with customers, on a break, left for the day, all at a training session and will “call us back”…again not 1 returned call. The sales manager we previously dealt with will not return our calls or text messages at all. We are completely being ignored as they care about nothing but making a sale. As of today, we continue to call with no success of even talking to anyone more senior than a receptionist or service tech. We have had 5 different furniture deliveries, 3 service tech appointments to fix our new furniture and still haven’t been able to resolve our issue with receiving the wrong box springs and are awaiting other repair appointments. If you are still reading this, I urge you to reconsider shopping with Ashley Furniture for fear of not receiving everything you order and having to deal with their non-existent customer service. ….if anyone from Ashley Furniture happens to read this, try returning our call so we can move on with our lives.
We had a great experience with our sales associate Becca at the Sarasota location. No pressure during our decision making. Purchased sofa and loveseat which she we contact me on delivery date and any other updates. I highly recommend Becca and Ashley furniture.

I found it a pleasure to work with Stephen Grohman. He greeted me as I walked. We had a short conversation, he directed me to where everything was that i was interested in, answered my questions and left me on my own to browse for what I was looking. He was available to help with questions. Was a true professional during the purchase process and I'd rate him higher if i could.
We went to Ashley Furniture looking for dining room chairs and wound up buying a dining room set. We have purchased two other rooms of Furniture from Ashley and we are very happy with everything so far. Stephen Grohman was our salesman and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and not pushy. We will definitely return.

I Was very pleased with their selection and comfortable with my purchase.

My wife and I went to Ashley Homestore on 4650 S Tamiami Trail to look for a second bedroom set in Sarasota, Florida. The sales person we encountered was Mr. Eli Gonzalez, entering the store. Eli made our search for the second bedroom set a super enjoyable experience for us both, but especially more so for me. As most men, our wives are excited walking around viewing all the options, however, Eli was able to focus us on what made sense for us after we walked around the store to view everything they had which then supported our second bedroom size and was within our budget. He was extremely courteous, professional, competent, not pushy to make a purchase, and knew about all the furniture line Ashley sells to assist us in deciding what we actually needed. I am a retired Army Officer and appreciated completely the customer service Eli provided us along with the savings we made on the furniture sales that were discounted on the bedroom set we purchased. Also, the furniture will be delivered within 48 hours which further benefits us having guests coming down to visit us in early February. In closing, I highly recommend buying your furniture at Ashley and asking for Eli, if you are shopping at their store in Sarasota. Called at 10:20 am and was on hold for 30 mins and gave up. Tried a little while later and same thing. I decided to drive to the store and arrived around 1pm. Went in, Knew what I wanted had already looked at on line, but wanted to see and feel material. Many salespeople standing around,( they should have been answering the phone). John helped us out and I ordered and paid for. Deliver is next week and I hope it all comes true. I have John’s cell phone number so if a problem I can call him directly. Thank you!
