I was greeted immediately and offered help from Bo. He helped me out way more than I expected and helped me make a decision on which electric recliner I wanted to purchase. Purchased one that day through him and should be expecting in a week using white glove delivery that he recommended. Great experience

3/1 UPDATE I think it is important for consumers to know how the Ashley Furniture Customer Care service works before they make a purchase. Keep in mind, I purchased thousands of dollars worth of furniture from this store in October. My table and chair set that I recently purchased from the store was around $1600. I purchased the insurance. I posted the review 4 days ago, and you can see the response from the "Store Owner." They emailed me saying they see I have a scheduled visit with another technician and they want to see his notes. I was nervous about the technician visit because the Oconee store threatened to have me documented as negligent and my insurance would no longer cover the damage that occurs when you slide the chairs under the table. The technician was SO NICE. He looked at the table, and said he completely understood what was going wrong. He said he could not fix the problem because it was an engineering problem. He said that the manager of the Ashley store had the power to give me a store credit and take the table back. He asked if I wanted him to smooth out the scratches and I said no, there is no point because they will come back after he left, just like it did week after the technician left in January! He said he was going to write up the report and Ashley's would reach out to me. We were optimistic that Ashley's would do the right thing and not leave me with a $1500 malfunctioning dining room table and chairs! Well, that is not what happened! Ashleys emailed first ( I will post below) and that started to negotiate. They started at a $200 store credit.. then they moved up to $290... then they went to a "partial refund" and prorated insurance coverage. They said- "We have carefully reviewed the technician’s report from the recent visit. In the notes, it indicates that the item is considered repairable; however, you expressed that you prefer a store credit rather than proceeding with repairs. We completely respect your preference and understand your concerns about the design and functionality of the set." Now, why is their version of the technicians notes so different from my experience with the technician. This is very disturbing and sketchy. How can you trust a company that operates like this?!?!?! So, at the same time, someone else from Ashleys corporation is texting me. I will post those texts below, so you can see how they talk to you! Texting with them is very frustrating because they do not give you much time to respond, and when you do; they say they will get back to you "shortly" which, by the end of the day was hourly. They clearly don't want to help you. Even after we agreed to another technician appointment and I kindly thanked him/her and the response was "welcome." They do not care about their customers, no matter how much money you spend at their store. However, what I found the most disturbing, is when I told them about the Ashley's person who was negotiating through email(at the same time we were texting), they said- "We cannot see that someone trying to negotiate or promised you that your item will be replaced or a store credit. We cannot replace the item." So I am lying?!! This company BLAMES the customers when they make a mistake. Then they gaslight you when you ask for help. They tell you that you are not being truthful when you are! I will share all messages below so you can see, I am being honest. They are GREEDY and they are the ones who should not be trusted. Stay away from this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to take my previous review down due to space, but, long story made short- This table and chairs were delivered in Nov. I purchased them at the Ashley's furniture store. The chairs scratch the table when you push them in. The 3rd technician is coming on Tuesday to look. I complained to the store, and the store said they do not believe me, and if I continue to complain they will write me up as negligent and causing the scratches (indicating I am a vandal) I am beyond frustrated and angry.

My in store shopping experience was by far the best. I was greeted by Brandon W. he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Also very patient! He never rushed me or overwhelmed me to purchase anything. I made a purchase of $4k+ my delivery was for Wednesday Feb 18 but it didn’t arrive nor was I notified until I reached out to Brandon who explained the delay. He was on it via text! He didn’t ignore me after the sale!!! That was on the delivery team. Finally Friday Feb 20th my furniture arrived. The team was great. White Glove delivery 100% I was pleased with EVERYTHING! However on Sunday the lights and wireless charging stations had stopped working so I am about to reach out to Brandon upon store opening and see how this will be handled. I expect it to be a smooth process but I’ll update this review and explain how it worked out for me.

The deliver Men were excellent. Not only very friendly, but we’re very professional. New furniture going into an old house presented a challenge. They were great.

The salesman, Geetam was very helpful in guiding us about options we had. He explained the layout of the furniture with models to do configurations. Overall our experience was unmatched.

Hannah was great she followed and showed my wife what her interest were. Ended up buying a couch, recliner, end tables that have chargers, the nights have the same 3 chest of drawers and a dresser. Oh and a rug on clearance. Great experience. Also Ervin helped out a lot. Thank you all.

We came in to look at sectionals and no one bothered to help us, so we left. We looked online and found something we loved but needed more information so 2 hours later, we came back to Ashley’s, and soon as we walked in, Bo greeted us and helped us right away. Bo sold us on a whole other sectional that I think we will be happier with, and helped us get the price we wanted. Bo was helping more than just us during this time, but he did an AMAZING job taking care of everyone in the store at once. I will definitely be back to talk to Bo, and Bo only.

I did not want the credit card. I think they required it. I wanted to pay the complete amount when they delivered. They created a split delivery a week apart. We're enjoying our partial delivery.

Hannah and Irwin were absolutely wonderful to work with! My mom and I spent quite a bit of time in the store, and every single member of the staff was patient, kind, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. Hannah and Irwin went above and beyond to help us choose the perfect pieces, answer all our questions, and make sure everything—from customization to scheduling the delivery—was handled smoothly. The whole experience felt personal and stress-free. We never felt rushed, just supported. It was truly an awesome experience, and I’m so grateful for their care and professionalism. Highly recommend!!!

I had a wonderful experience today as I shopped for my living room furniture. My trusted advisors name was Oneika and she was awesome! She was very very helpful, she was able to answer every question I had. The best part though was that not only was she helpful but that she was happy to help, she was fun to be around, we laughed and enjoyed good conversation, and she was very patient with me as well. Loved shopping @ Ashley in Athens. Brandon, the Sales Leader, helped us find the perfect couch for our home. He hooked us up with the best deal he could get us and made us feel very well taken care of. It’s being delivered today and we are SO EXCITED.

My wife and I had a very good experience shopping at Ashley in Athens, GA. We went there looking for chairs for our dining room table and a breakfast room table. We were able to look around at the chairs without being swarmed by salespeople. We saw that the mattresses were on sale and because we have been talking about needing a new one we decided to look also at mattresses. The store manager and a then a sales lady spent time showing us all of the mattresses and answering all of our questions. When we decided that on a mattress and chairs we were happy with the price and discounts. Where are ready for living room furniture we will be going back to Ashley.

Had a pleasant buying experience at Ashley today. James did a nice job of showing me the available chairs I was looking for and explaining the options.

This crew was very good. They talked to each other and communicated and got my sectional sofa put together. The crew that came out last week did not know how to put the sofa together and it was not a good day.

Everything was done professionally and as promised. The delivery was excellent. The recliner was bigger than I thought but they handled it with ease. They salesman was quick and knew exactly which piece I was looking for and didn't try to sway me to other options.

I'm only giving it one star. Sales person was nice enough. I didn't like when the manager came out kinds like the heavy hand for the sale. I've never experienced that in a furniture store. Additionally the Sales person told me he would send me the quotes (he had my email and phone number) so my husband and I could discuss it over lunch. We said we'd return after lunch and let them know what we decided. I never received anything. I guess they figured that once we left we wouldn't come back. To bad for them. I found the same couch at another store (not Ashley furniture) for less than the quote I was verbally given and we purchased it. We will not be shopping at the Ashley store ever.

Our salesman greeted us at the door and told us about the deals that were going on and was very helpful. We told him our budget and he took us straight to what we were looking for. Thank you so much.

I really appreciate the help and professionalism of your sales staff from both Brandon & Pam Redwine gave me. I’m sitting in my new comfortable chair that both my cat, Cholè and myself are really enjoying. What I hope is if you could relax the monitoring your traffic both in & out your doors. I really felt bad walking into and out of the store’s front door without purchasing the chair on my visit to the store. I overheard a conversation about how traffic is monitored vs. sales that are made.

Do not buy ashley furniture! We received our $3000 couch today and one of the sections is smashed. I sent pictures to them and instead of just bringing a replacement, they expect me to keep a unit that they will "fix". I bought a new unit, not a refurbished one. Terrible business model. You'd be better off buying from costco

The store experience was amazing. From the manager to Reggie the salesman. However, delivery scheduling was not. We chose 9 January 2026, because it was available on the system. Yet, I was not contacted on 8 January 2026. So I called the number on the 9 January 2026. The system said it would be delivered on the 15 January 2026. Fine, but let me know this. When was I going to be notified. Communication is key. Do better in the future.

Me and wife looked at the living room set we loved it we were quoted 4100 we tax about it and she really wanted it . When I I come back to sign the paperwork the price went up to 4700 I wasn’t very happy but I all ready gave away my old living room so I was stuck I had to sign and order it . You should stick with the quote I got the first time the salesman said he forgot to corner couch

We went to Ashley looking for a good deal on a mattress. We had visited a couple of other businesses in the area prior to stopping at Ashley. The salesman, Alex, was very knowledgeable. I had already done some extensive research and he was spot on with his advice. He was not overly pushy and allowed us to take our time with our decision. Ended up with a good deal on a reputable mattress.

We had a great experience with Ashley's. If you're at the Athens location ask for Oneika. She's the best.

We received an email from Ashley Furniture offering us the White glove treatment. We came back in and met with Miss Rodriguez again. We findly decided on the sofa and love seat we wanted. I do want to give a shout out to this young lady, very professional, knowledgeable about the product. Explained the warranty which we also purchased. Keyshley made us feel like family not customers. We feel like we have made a friend and will be back for our next purchase I pray Miss Rodriguez will be there to help us. I bought a sofa and love seat from Ashley. The price was marked at 25% off. When the sales person worked up the price he added a protection plan for over $600 to the total price. I told him that I did not want the protection plan. He then told me that the 25% off only applied if I bought the protection plan. The price tag did not say that the protection plan was required to get the full discount. I told him that the price tag was misleading. The manager came and explained the requirement to me and said he agreed it was misleading and said he had gotten the same complaint from other customers but it was a corporate requirement and there was nothing he could do.

I had a fantastic experience shopping for a new bed and mattress here. I worked with Tammi, and she was wonderful. Highly recommend.

The purchasing process was easy. The delivery time is organized as you receive texts letting you know the progress. My only disappointment is the actual delivery. They got it in the house and got it set up but they were rough moving the couch around and taking off the packing boards. Siding the drill across the bottom of the couch to hand to the other guy. Wood pieces everywhere that I had to clean up and the left one of the packing boards with a drywall screw under the couch cushions. Had I not of checked I could have sat on it or torn my new couch. Just disappointed in how people can treat you new furniture as it’s not cheap. I had a delivery from another furniture store just a week earlier and they were not in a rush and cleaned up everything behind them.

Great people to talk with in Athens Ga store. I found what I wanted on line. I went in the store and showed them what I wanted. I received a recliner for the same price as just a sectional online. Only complaint was a 3 week delivery but for the savings!!! I can complain!! Store shopping still has it’s perks

I’ve been in the customer service industry for 14+ years and would not recommend this company. I was in the market for a new couch and went to this location on Black Friday (11/28!!!!) specifically looking for a good deal on a couch….I proceeded to place an order for a couch, even though I was told that it was back ordered and would not be available until two and a half months later. I still decided to proceed because I really liked the couch and it was a good deal. I was just called (FEB 3rd) by the representative telling me that it was now unavailable. After waiting 2 months! The only response was “When you’re free, come in and we will look at other options” I absolutely will not be recommending this store or spending any money with them. No compensation for the inconvenience, whatsoever. No only did I waste 2 months but I lost out on an opportunity to get a good deal somewhere else. Insane.

Our bed was delivered without the base. We had given our old bed away that morning and had to choose from leaving it on the floor or sending the mattress back and reschedule a delivery. We spoke with the delivery company and they said they made the mistake loading the truck, but refused to bring the base that day or the next. They haven’t called to let us know when we can expect it. I know these things happen, but we expected more from Ashley in order to get the base sent asap and set up our new $6000 bed.

Not to happy that we never got a email/message/call that our order/ delivery date was pushed back because it wasn't all ready & wasn't even coming the day-of.. thank God i didnt take off to wait for the delivery. I like ashley furniture, but that is not good for customer service.. (don't send out a survey till the actual order has been delivered/ with actual updates of it).

We bought our couch and love seat here due to Bo’s customer service! He was outstanding and up front. We could’ve gotten the same deal at a different store, but Bo was the difference. I now have to change my review some. Once the sofa was delivered and we sat on it a day or two and it just wasn’t comfortable. I requested to return it and was THEN notified there was a no return policy on in store purchases. Which to me is ridiculous. I’m paying big money for your product and not satisfied, but oh well??? Very unprofessional and cheap! I did see on the end of a 5 page receipt emailed to me in pdf that they won’t do returns. This was never explained to me in the store. Very disappointed and won’t shop here again since they don’t stand by the comfortableness of their product. Disappointed with Bo also for not making this clear.

Great professional friendly service!

Purchased furniture over 3 weeks ago and was told the sofa was on back order. Agreed to have partial delivery. Scheduled it 2 times and even received a phone call advising of the partial delivery and agreed to meet between 12 and 3:30...no call and no show same as first initial delivery. We called and we're told for the 2nd time that our order was canceled because of the partial delivery. Poor customer services and bout to cancel the entire order and they can keep their furniture and poor customer service. Update review Well we received the sofa but all other furniture was not received. Worst purchase ever made in 50 years of my existence. Incompetence in this company is beyond belief the entire process has been horrendous will never shope with them again. I would stay far away and go anywhere else. They do not even deserve 1 star Update review was scheduled to get furniture on again on 11-10 and again no call no show getting a email an apology from social corporate is worthless be nice is someone actually did what they said they were going to do. Guess we will be furniture shopping because we intend on returning the entire order an getting them to pick up the sofa delivered.

Hannah was excellent. We moved into the area the day before and we needed all new furniture. She patiently helped us as we walked through the entire store as we looked at every bed, couch, chair, and table. She knew when to let us look around and when to come and answer my seemingly endless questions. Saturday night wasn’t enough time as we had to come back first thing Sunday morning. Our new home will have 3 rooms filled with new furniture from Athens Ashley Furniture all because of Hannah so thanks again.

Worst furniture buying experience ever! We spent 3 hours at this store trying to buy furniture... at the end they told us they could not deliver to our address. After 3 wasted hours when they had the address to start with and they took our money. We purchased another table and come to find out it is not available and it has been a nightmare to cancel the order and get our money back!

Oneika was extremely helpful and patient in my search for a bed! She made the process flow smoothly, answered all my questions and was available for a follow up call.

Do NOT buy anything from this store!!! Our order was delayed two weeks, then they had to reschedule the delivery twice and failed to actually deliver it on the scheduled delivery date. We were then told the next soonest delivery dates were another month out! This is unacceptable! We will never do business with Ashley Furniture again and will never recommend them to anyone!

UPDATE #2 (9/16/25) After several weeks of frustration and lack of communication, Ashley Furniture has finally provided a satisfactory resolution. They will be refunding my mother’s money for the loveseat and recliner chair due to the defective engineering of both pieces. We are still waiting for a confirmed pick-up date, but it does appear they have made the right decision. While I’ve updated my Google rating from one star to three, I strongly believe Ashley Furniture needs to reevaluate how they handle defective products and customer concerns. Claims should not be processed through an off-site, unknown location—it should be handled directly at the store where items are purchased. This would ensure accountability, transparency, and a smoother customer experience. Do better, Ashley Furniture. UPDATE #1!! We are still waiting for Ashley Furniture to resolve this issue. As I stated before, if I could give zero stars, I would. We carefully followed all of Ashley’s instructions after their initial response to my first review. We provided every piece of information requested, allowed a technician to come out, and yet—over a week later—we have still not heard back. The fact remains: this furniture DOES NOT FUNCTION for my 88-year-old mother, who is under 5 feet tall and weighs only 80 pounds. It is unusable for her needs, and Ashley has done nothing to make this right. We are asking—again—for a full refund and for Ashley Furniture to retrieve the loveseat and chair. Instead, it feels as if the company is simply ignoring us in the hope that we will give up. Let me be clear: that will not happen. If necessary, we will pursue legal action to resolve this. Please, Ashley Furniture, do the right thing. Stop taking advantage of my elderly mother and honor your responsibility to your customers. First review: If I could give zero stars I would. All I can say is never purchase from Ashley Furniture. My 88 year old parents bought a recliner chair and love seat and immediately found a problem. The footrest on each was not responding and it required a lot of leg strength to push down. A technician came out and said there was nothing wrong. My parents wanted to return their purchase. Customer service said they could not return and get a refund. This was their answer after being on hold with their customer service for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Never NEVER will I purchase from them and I will certainly spread the word to all my friends. Truly unacceptable.

If you expect to actually receive your furniture you may need to either have the patience of a saint, the resilience of a shield wall, or the ability to take the floor model. I ordered a recliner in the first week of August. It was to be delivered mid month. They no call no showed. I called the day it was to be delivered and was told there was an issue and to pick a new date a week out. I took another day off work, and waited, nothing. Third time I called the day before it was to be delivered and was informed there was a back order and it could be delivered two days later. That would have been tomorrow. Having again heard nothing I called. They asked for an alternate phone number and moved the delivery day to Friday. The equivalent of 4 no call no shows over the course of a month and a half. If it's not at my house on Friday I'm just gonna see about taking the one off the floor until they get their act together.

Don’t go! The manager lied to us and the salesman was zero help after we paid $19,000!!

I was greeted by Jonnathan the first time when I planned to purchase some furnitures because he looked super nice. Then I trusted him and placed the order with him with no doubt as he promised that the furnitures I paid full in cash in June can be delivered at specific week in August. Everything is good until the furnitures can not be delivered at the week he promised and he became less responsive, including I asked why my furnitures are not assembled while I paid white glove fee, and when I ask future potential ordering. What’s more, I purchased two furnitures with delivery and assemble service. But the delivery staff was unaware of their task which made me schedule for additional appointments for them. Also with one of the furniture assemble problems. It took finally 4 appointments to get 2 furnitures delivered and assembled. It’s so frustrating with their service. Although I like their furnitures, their service keeping away from future purchases

I recently made a purchase and even opened up an Ashley furniture store credit card because of how pleased I was with the service. I did not need to do this, I could have purchased my order by cash. I had a pickup scheduled for Wednesday, however, I could not make it. I called corporate the day of pickup because the store did not pickup after multiple attempts. Corporate said I would be allowed to pickup on Saturday. Saturday rolls around and I have my truck and a trailer at the store to pickup. The once kind salesmen that sold my couch and recliner to me was now dismissive, telling me to wait. I waited for 30 minutes before the store manager came at me with an attitude about not allowing weekend pickups due to them being busy. This store manager did not appreciate that has tone and attitude were matched when told that a) corporate said I could pickup Saturday and b) I was not asking for any help. I had brought a friend and was picking up. The store manager still did not allow me to pickup my order and doubled down on his attitude once I told him that I was either picking up or canceling. He stated some store policy that, to my knowledge, I did not sign and was certainly not told about prior to purchase. This was an embarrassing situation to be in considering this manager had now garnered an audience of both customers and employees. This store had 7 employees not doing anything. So the statement of being too busy was false. I am now left with another search for furniture and a line of credit I will never use. I highly suggest any and everyone do business elsewhere considering the leadership at this store has a bully mentality and does not like having that energy met.

Ordered furniture on 7/5 and was told a couple of weeks. It was scheduled for delivery on 8/5. It’s been rescheduled twice. Hopefully it will show up at some point in September. Never again - when I pay $4,000 for something I expect it to be delivered when promised. ***Update*** 9/6 : 2 months from original order date and a month after promise date and got a call that it’s delayed again. I sent email this morning and tried to call the store. I could only get the automated response. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE EVER

Refusing to answer phone calls, reaching out daily, gave me a bed with missing parts and won't come to repair it.

Everything was a breeze as long as I’m spending money. Over the years I have spent 30k+ in this specific store. I placed an order in May of 2025, and as of August 13th, I’ve only received half of it. Excuse after excuse after excuse. This is completely unacceptable. The store gives me a run around, online gives me run around, and 1-800 gives me the run around. I gave up on the product months ago. All I want is a refund. Can’t even get my money back..I PAID CASH AND I HAVE MY RECEIPT!! The store confirmed that it was lost in shipping.Very frustrating when you work hard to pay for something and it’s obviously not a priority to them. B U Y E R S B E W A R E ! ! All they want is your money. Wont spend a dime here again. UPDATE: Calling the bluff..responded here as if they cared. A week later, still no response! They do not care about the customers at all. There is NO excuse for this type of behavior. Buyer beware

Store itself is fine, but delivery and warranty claims are incredibly bad and to a malicious degree. They also fight you at every step on fixing mistakes that are undeniable with strong photographic and video evidence. You basically have to sue them to force them to be semi-honest. It’s not the technicians. It’s not the delivery people. It’s not the store people. It’s Ashley corporate.

Update 9/11: still waiting. They FINALLY picked up the broken recliner in 9/9. Still no refund. They are also claiming they refuse to refund the sales tax paid in the item. This is illegal and awful. STAY FAR FAR FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!! Extremely Disappointed – Broken Recliner Delivered, No Support We were so excited to receive our new furniture from Ashley after spending over $4,000. Unfortunately, that excitement turned to frustration on delivery day when our recliner arrived completely broken — bent and unusable. The delivery person acknowledged the issue immediately, set it up anyway, and said he was submitting a ticket for the damage. Since then, we’ve contacted customer service multiple times and reached out to our store-level sales rep, but we've received no help at all. No updates. No resolution. Just silence. It’s incredibly disappointing to spend this much money only to end up with damaged furniture and no support from Ashley. We expected much better from a company of this size and reputation. At this point, we just want what we paid for — furniture we can actually use. Update 8/23. Multiple emails to the one you see below. No tech has come. No repair been done. We just want them to take this stuff away and allow us to purchase stuff we can use. Again- stay away.

I recently ordered $2400 dollars worth of furniture. One sofa and one loveseat. Paid an extra $300 to have it delivered. When the furniture came it was way to big for the space. I mentioned this with delivery driver, who could clearly see for himself when assembling the furniture that it wouldn't recline etc because they were literally on top of one another. He left and never mentioned anything about returns to me. I call only to be told that since it was delivered white glove delivery $300 that it couldn't be returned. So I paid a extra $300 to cancel out a return policy??? Then proceed to tell me the only time it could have been returned is if I refused delivery the day of. I ask as to why the delivery driver didn't tell me this was an option because he clearly seen it didn't work...and was told that they don't know the policy! If the Ashley Furniture people don't know the policy how are we as customers supposed to know! All I wanted to do was swap it for another piece. The supervisor "MAR" that I was transferred to was no help, very unprofessional in how he talked to me and even acted as if this was my fault that no one made me aware of this. Definitely will never be interested in doing business with them again if this is their level of professionalism. Which is bad because the furniture quality seems great!

Great store! Beautiful showroom! We visited the Ashley store because another store from which I had purchased an Ashley piece, called me to tell me it had been discontinued. I went in thinking perhaps this store had it, which they did. From the moment we walked in, our experiences only got better. We were met by Bo, an experienced design specialist, who was able to readily assess our needs & tastes. He was able to find a choice that was so much better than our original and even saved us money! All in all, a great store that is really customer-centered.

My family and me went to Ashley Furniture in Athens, Georgia looking for a living room suite. James Schliestett helped us I let him know that I was only interested in sets that were stain resistant since my old one was not. He showed me some and listened to me about the colors I would prefer. Also, that I wanted enough sitting space. But, that I was on a tight budget. I asked him when did the Fourth of July sale come to an end. He told me the 7th I let him know that I will be by sometime the next week after I get off work to make a final decision. The next day it was my Aunt and also my birthday. My Uncle died suddenly that day so I wasn’t able to come back until the following Saturday. My family and me came in and James greeted us and said let’s get you guys a couch. I let him know my Uncle had passed away and he was caring and showed such sympathy. He remembered I wanted the stain resistant and didn’t want a white couch. I thought that was so touching that he remembered since the store had been very busy due to the holiday sale. James made sure to honor the coupon I got through the mail and assisted with getting more off than expected by researching with an added discount. Which meant I came in below my budget! I want to tell James Schliestett Thank you! for seeing us as people and not just another sale! James is a gem a rare gem! He needs a raise! If I need anything else I know where to go. I went in knowing what I wanted. Jonathan didn't push me for the sale. He let me make my decisions in my time. He didn't make me feel rushed. I really liked the store and will go back when I need something else. I got my whole living room suit there. I did find a couple of minor damages on the back of the couch when picking it up, but it on the back where no one ever looks anyway.

I called in to order, big mistake. Just order online. I ended up paying almost $250 more for a chair. Online you get free shipping. They are not able to honor or do free shipping if you call in your order, which wasn’t mentioned. Also the online price is cheaper than what you can buy it for in-store. While I completely understand the difference of online versus in-store the price difference, not getting the customer the best price is odd. Very disappointed that the sales associate didn’t mention any of this. I will take responsibility for not ordering it online myself, but the lack of transparency is where I have an issue. I used to love Ashley but never again. Customer service was not helpful either when trying to resolve.

Successfully placed a phone order with this location since I am currently out of state. Sales rep was eager to help. Once I realized I didn’t get the discount that I was hoping for, it was impossible to get a hold of them. Never got in touch, but finally got a price adjustment, although a week & half later it has yet to hit my account. Not sure if they were telling me what I wanted to hear to get rid of me, or actually adjusted the price and it’s taking time.

I normally don’t do reviews, but the salesman Bo that helped me, was excellent and very helpful. I have been back since first purchase to purchase a new mattress, and brought him another customer, that is also buying furniture from this store and using him as the salesman. I highly recommend him. Ashley furniture has everything you need. They have furniture that is great if you are working on a small budget and furniture if money isn’t an issue. They don’t have everything in the showroom, but have extremely a lot of options online. I found my furniture online then Bo pointed me in the right direction to which ones to buy. If you are in the Athens Ga area looking for furniture, I highly recommend talking to him. Only bad thing I can say about the experience, is that when my original order got delivered the warehouse loaded the wrong sofa and was told I would receive a phone call as soon as the driver called it in. The driver called it in but still have not heard from them two days later about where my sofa is at and when it will be delivered.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company. Ordered $7k of bedroom furniture which was supposed to be delivered on January 25th. They delivered the wrong headboard, the chest was broken, drawers would not fit in the chest and were coming apart, and nightstand was broken.I have been getting the run around on exchanging the headboard for the one we ordered, they keep telling me it has to be approved, approved for what you brought the wrong headboard! I have been to the store in Athens GA and I was told by the store manager that everything would be delivered February 8th well they brought the headboard and nightstand but not the chest because it is out of stock. I was told the beginning of the week that I was a VIP customer because of the issues on the first delivery and that all pieces had been looked over and everything was in good condition to deliver on the 8th so how am I now missing the chest and it's out of stock when they inspected it for delivery. No one can help me and I keep getting the run around, I have been on the phone with customer service so much they should know my name by now and I am sure they have me flagged as an irate customer which is fine because this is ridiculous to have to go through all of this! I will not be buying anything else from Ashley Homestore and I will be telling everyone and writing reviews on any platform I can find.

I wouldn't recommend doing bussiness at this store or with Elizabeth Russell. Horrible experience and would recommend purchasing the same furniture online. They tried to force me to purchase the protection for $529 and wouldn't let me buy the furniture without it....how is that possible? I drove 1.5hrs to make this happen, changed my schedule so that Elizabeth Russell would get paid on the sale and then told me the "programs" just changed that day......what a joke I guess going for the 15% extra commisson that they get paid to sell the protection was more important than actually selling the furniture.....So an $80 bonus lost a $3,000 sale for Ashley.... I've been trying to find somone to speak with it and it seems impossible....

Great experience, quality purchase.

I placed an order in store on 11/25/24 and it was scheduled to be delivered on 12/11/24. Upon arrival I was informed that one item was on backorder and I would be contacted for that to be scheduled. Upon assembly of the other items there were missing parts. I was told I would be contacted for those parts to be delivered. The backordered item was rescheduled for 12/18 and then shortly rescheduled to 12/20. On 12/20 during the delivery window I received a call that it was not at the warehouse and therefore needed to be rescheduled. It was then rescheduled for 1/2/25. On 1/2/25 I received a call during the confirmed delivery window that it was not at the warehouse and needed to be rescheduled to 1/8/25. At this point I went to the store to discuss what was occurring. I was informed by customer service that the item was discontinued and it was unlikely I would receive it. The store manager then asked the customer service representative to contact the warehouse and find out whether the item was in the warehouse. I was informed that I would be notified if it was at the warehouse or if a refund needed to be processed. I never received a call back. On 1/8/25 during the delivery window I was informed that it was not at the warehouse and needed to be rescheduled to 1/16/25. I went back to the store to find out what was happening and was then informed by the store manager that the notes actually indicated that the item along with an spare had been at the warehouse the entire time but for whatever reason wasn't loaded on the truck. On 1/16/25 the item was never delivered and I received no call about it. I called store to ask about it and was informed that the notes stated the item was damaged at the warehouse. At this point I asked for a refund. In addition, I never received a call about the missing parts for the other item and when I called I was told the order was never processed and I needed to submit the serial number to have the parts ordered. The next day the items arrived to be assembled, no one called me or informed me this was occurring. I then got an email about which parts were missing, where I then informed them the parts had already arrived. I also noticed that there were additional parts missing from another piece that was assembled. I asked the store about this and they told me I would receive an email within 72 hours to have those parts ordered. I never received the email and ordered the parts directly from the website myself. On top of all this, I was receiving emails to my email to confirm the delivery and then suddenly I stopped receiving the emails and the emails started going to my husband's email, which was not. linked to the account but to my phone number from an order placed over 10 years ago. When I asked why the emails stopped coming to me suddenly (the email I provided when placing the order) they couldn't provide an answer. It has been impossible to get someone on the phone to discuss these challenges.

Loved this experience! Went in to “get an idea” on a new mattress. Eric greeted us instantly and brought us to the mattress gallery. Trying out mattresses can be very awkward but we were pleasantly surprised to see that their gallery is tucked into a private corner with tons of options! The store in Athens is nice, but everything is wait and deliver. I asked them to give me a time on when they would deliver so that I could make plans due to meetings and they said we will advise the day before. I can’t plan my life around Ashley Furniture. I canceled the order because they wouldn’t reschedule the delivery date.

I had a great experience, Elizabeth (the sweet lady who helped me) was absolutely amazing to say the least! I will definitely recommend Ashely and will do more business with them. Thank you Elizabeth for a great experience and going out of your way to find my phone that slipped deep down into a recliner you are a true blessing, give that girl a raise!

This is the third time we’ve ordered from Ashley, but the first time buying in-store. I guess it doesn’t make a difference seeing as we had the same experience all three times. Initially, when my husband had spoke to one salesman, he had quoted him a price for everything and my husband told him we would come back later to purchase. The salesmen said that he gave all of the information to Elizabeth and that she will have all of the info. We got there, Elizabeth was expecting us but when going back over the order, she had taken it upon herself to take off any discounts and add and extra $1,000 to the price we agreed to pay. Of course, we caught this and told her no. We bought an entire bedroom set, all supposed to be delivered on 12/20. It’s 12/21, and all we have is a bed. Elizabeth, the associate we worked with in-store “assured” us that what happened the last two times with the delivery wouldn’t happen since we were buying from the store instead of online. (This was after telling us we should buy a protection plan because their furniture is “not high quality”). Cut to me taking a day off of work just to be home for this delivery. We received an email the night before to confirm our delivery, everything was listed, all was good, we have a time window. The next morning, we get an email allowing us to track the truck, I checked it, three things were missing. I wasn’t too worried, maybe it was a glitch. They’re “supposed to notify you” if they aren’t going to be able to deliver everything. The delivery guys show up, start setting up, my husband comes home. We find out one of the pieces they were delivering is broken, that’s fine, it happens, we’ll get a new one. The delivery guys then tell us “oh, the dresser and (2) nightstands are on back order, they were supposed to let you know they wouldn’t be delivered”. (The delivery guys were great, by the way.) Cue my husband calling the store to find out what’s going on. We weren’t notified, we were “assured” that what happened the last two times (waiting two weeks for a delayed delivery and getting everything in separate pieces, unable to assemble the furniture until the rest of it comes in.) wouldn’t happen since we bought it in store. Well, here we are, the next day, no furniture, no clue when it will come. The broken one is supposed to come in on 1/2, which is great since this is a Christmas gift that the associate we called in the store said would come on the 23rd along with the other missing furniture, but currently, we’re facing having to take extra time off of work to accommodate this. We find out that the missing pieces are in fact in the warehouse and not on back order. I’m wondering why they couldn’t be delivered in the first place? We have been following up with the store for updates, and every time hear “they are looking into it”. My husband called 3 times with no answer but yet then I call, a number that is not in their system, and magically they answer. This place works so hard to sell you on every little thing they can, but when it comes to following through on a $2,000 purchase, they’re nowhere to be found and impossible to get ahold of. We’ve paid for this furniture, yet we have no idea when or if it will arrive (they made damn sure to take the money from our account before they confirmed the order, though). I’ll make sure to warn everyone I meet away for Ashley Furniture, and will never be buying from them again. Everyone working there should be ashamed of themselves. Update: my email meant to solve the problem has been ignored, it’s 12/24 and still no furniture. We’ve had nothing but empty promises and people lying to our faces about what’s going on. Still no resolution and zero transparency since the system now shows that we have no order to be tracked. Update: 1 year later, never received the partial refund they promised, and the dresser is broken

I purchased a recliner/ lift chair. I had to pick it up from the warehouse which was a 250 mile round trip. Upon unpacking the chair we found that there was a bag of parts missing and the chair will not operate without them. I am waiting now to find out how long it takes to get the parts needed to make the chair operate.

Very nice store. We received excellent customer service from Paula our sales advisor. We love our furniture we purchased. I only gave 4 stars because we had to pay a $300.00 delivery fee. We only live 13 miles from the store. I think that was way too much for such a short distance. The delivery guys were very nice so nothing negative about them either.

We went to Ashley to look at love seats. We found a great selection. After many hours of shopping, we selected a love seat. We had a good experience with the purchase, the delivery and a subsequent repair. The scheduling of the delivery and repair were without problems.

Had a great salesperson Jonathan Tried out the chair I had seen online but chose another chair because the leather was better .Sat in the chair and decided on a blue recliner However after the chair was delivered and sat up in our family room I tried it out for several hours….found out it felt nothing like the chair in the store. The leg rest does not go high enough to support my legs and because of that I feel and look like I am on a slant board . This also causes my head to rest well below the top pad on the back of the chair. this chair is so uncomfortable that when I stay in it for any length of time I can nearly walk when I get up. My chair was delivered on October 29 and I went to the store that same day to let them know what a bad recliner it was but Jonathan wasn’t there so I met with him on Wednesday November 30 to ask if I could exchange the chair for the other recliner I liked and he said he would check and said a tech would be sent out ..,haven’t heard back . I paid for a new chair not one that a tech would have to repair. When at the store we measured and found out the foot rest on my recliner is 2” lower than the one at the store when lifted by the control..I really want another recliner. The photo shows the store chair foot rest goest up at least 19” and the home recliner is not quite 17”..Diane Burnett

Your guy stepped on my cordless vacuum and broke it. It cost me $129 to replace it. I told this to you when they called and they said they would handle it. Never handled it and never called back. This is after doing $4000 in business with you. What rating other than f- minus could I give you.

Totally not satisfied with the delivery service. My order was to be delivered Oct 23, 2024. It’s been delayed now three times. I was informed there’s an on going problem with the warehouse and the store communicating. Not my problem! If it’s not Delivered on Nov 6th as specified. I will cancel and never shop Ashly home furniture again!!!

Sales people are ok but customer service is horrible, and would not help with delivery issues and seemed to be reading from a script and hard to understand her, l am sorry but her English was not very good. Some delivery guys did not seem interested when they tried to deliver broken furniture. They also did not want to remove some packing material said it was my responsibility. We will be checking other options before going back to Ashley

I never write reviews, but the lack of management of goods was astounding. I ordered and paid in full for the Next-Gen Gaucho 4 seater couch and oversized ottoman on 10/27/24 with delivery set for 11/2/24 (keep in mind this cost over $3000). Our experience with the sales representative Geetam was fantastic and the only saving grace of this review. Three days after purchase I am informed via phone and then in person that the wedge portion of the couch ordered is now discontinued. When asked how it was possible that a customer would pay for furniture in full and have it be ordered but then be told “we’re sorry this item is discontinued” three days later, was met with there was nothing they could do about it. The options presented to me were to have an INCOMPLETE couch delivered to my home with no wedge (the essential piece putting the couch together), pick a completely different couch (which would of course have a different delivery date and could result in additional charges), or to cancel my order and receive a refund. Needless to say, we will not be returning and hope that the refund comes through quickly.

Poor service. Purchased a recliner lift chair for my 5'11" husband who has stage 4 cancer and it will only accomodate a 5'2" woman at the most. Has not been used but was told you have a no return policy. Now we have a chair we cannot use and we already paid for it. Years ago I purchased a whole bedroom of furniture from Ashley's in Brunswick Georgia. Was told the other day by a rude associate in Athens that you had a no return policy. Now we have a $800+ chair in our living room no one can use. Don't think I will be doing business with Ashley anymore!

I bought my daughter’s bedroom suite from Reggie a few years ago and came back today. He was as helpful and kind as I remember. The store manager, Irvin is pleasant and upbeat. Bo was tremendously helpful throughout the entire process of buying a new couch and sectional for my house. He was extremely communicative and gave great recommendations which made the experience amazing. If you are looking for new furniture, I would highly recommend requesting Bo to assist you!

Sales experience was great, then deliveries were delayed and suddenly back ordered 3-4 months. I’ve been trying for over a month to get orders cancelled and get my money back. In store and 1-800 customer service hasn’t helped. I’m going to have to get a lawyer involved now. They charge you for items they don’t have and can’t deliver and have no way to refund you in the store. It’s been a nightmare. Add on: they haven’t done anything and I’ve heard from anyone with their company for assistance. Their response is BS. Store manager Erwin was no help and when I asked for his name he refused to give me his last name. He was very rude and basically told me that it wasn’t his problem that I wasn’t refunded.

If I could leave a negative review I would. I cannot say enough about how TERRIBLE the service is here. Been waiting over 3 months for furniture that was "supposedly in stock" when I purchased. Save your money and your time and buy elsewhere.

Elizabeth and Irwin were super professional and friendly and knowledgeable and worked with us on what fit our budget and taste. What a joke of an experience this has been! Great salesperson, horrible pieces delivered to my home. Took 4 try’s for a couch delivery due to defects. I can’t express the inconvenience that was! It shouldn’t take two months. Secondly, my mattress has a dip since night one! That process took weeks to get someone out here. And the audacity to email me with a warranty denial. I’m outraged over this company! To speak and be forwarded to the amount of costumer service agents, I don’t have enough fingers on my hands to count them all. Very disheartening to say the least.

Don’t waste your time! Take your business elsewhere. I have been fighting with customer service for a week to speak to someone at the store or a supervisor when calling into customer service, because let’s be real the number to the store isn’t actually the number to the store it’s just to a call center, and I have been told 3 different times someone would contact me and it’s been over a week and not a single person has reached out to me. Total waste of money and time. Wasn’t notified until day of delivery that the tv stand I ordered was on back order. It’s been a total hassle to even get a refund.

The store was fine, the service was fine. We placed our order, was told it would be 3-4 weeks for delivery. We've had 4 additional weekly calls to delay our delivery. We've about had it with Ashleys at this point.

Jonathan didn’t hover and was very real with us about everything, even not having to purchase everything through them

If I could select zero stars I would. We purchased an apartment worth of furniture: bed, box spring, mattress, bedroom set, couch, chair, ottoman, accent table, coffee table, end tables, office desk, kitchen table and chairs; the whole thing! They were all too happy to take our money and make their commission. However, the bed set was delivered without a footboard so that could not be put together. The kitchen table was delivered with a chair that had four different sized legs so was uneven and couldn't be used, and the accent table had no knobs and couldn't be opened. That's bad enough but the first person told us the bed footboard would be delivered that day. After a major run around and five different stories, it was delivered four days later. They had to send a tech for the chair and accent table (after I sent pictures) to confirm they were broken and delivered unusable (I guess the pictures they made me send weren't enough). It's been weeks and we're still waiting. If you're looking for poor customer service, broken furniture, and completely untrustworthy staff, visit Ashley in Athens. Otherwise run in the other direction. I will NEVER use them or any Ashley again and cannot in good conscience refer ANYONE to them. There's plenty of other options.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience! We were looking for a bed frame and mattress, and we were able to find what we were looking for with ease. Bo Beard was absolutely amazing! He was extremely helpful and attentive. We have a baby and he was so sweet and helpful, he distracted him so we could try out mattress to figure out which one we liked. I ordered over $4000 worth of furniture. Delivery was scheduled on a Friday. The bed that was delivered was missing support legs. I went back to the store and was scheduled for those parts to be delivered and the bed installed on the next day. After waiting for 3 hours for the installers, they arrived without the legs. Now, I'm being told that it will be days before the parts arrived.

Bo is an exceptional sales person! He really takes the time to listen to what you’re looking for and what your budget it. Working with him is like shopping with a friend!

Where do I start. I had the best shopping experience that I've probably ever had. Jonathan (the Salesman) and Clinton (the manager) were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Jonathan took tons of time assisting me in my purchase of an entire home worth of furniture and accessories. And was SUPER patient with the multiple "changes of my mind" and indecisiveness when I was comparing the selections. He happily stood in there and was never dismissive as many sales people can be once you seem unsure. And Clinton was right there to assist with the formalities. My couch was supposed to come in on July 2. I called July 1 because I had not heard any timeframe of when my couch was coming in. I was then made aware that they had changed my delivery date to July 12, and I recommended it be delivered at 5 o’clock on the 12th and the agent that works at Ashley, agreed that it would be delivered at 5:00pm on the 12th. Now it is July 11, and I got an email saying my couch should be delivered between 10 and 2 and nobody can do anything to live up to what they agreed to on a recorded phone call about having my couch delivered at 5 o’clock. It should not be this difficult to live up to your word, and to deliver the couch when your employee said it was going to be delivered. If my couch is not delivered tomorrow after 4 PM, preferably 5 pm, I will cancel my entire order.

We had looked around and knew what we wanted. We had never been to Ashley’s and decided to look there before we bought. We went in, was greeted by Reggie, he showed us exactly where the furniture we wanted was located. We spent maybe 15-20 minutes looking. Found something we liked at a good price. Reggie handled the transaction, also sold us the protection plan! We were probably there less than 30 minutes. Loved it and appreciated Reggie. Very pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient.

Eric was wonderful! Very patient until we found exactly what we wanted. Great experience overall. Edit: the warranty dept is a different story entirely, unfortunately. They literally just schedule technicians without consulting you, forcing you to call to reschedule. Then, IF they answer (a big if) they don't enter the appt, which you only know because you called the store again to find out what 4-hour window the tech will arrive in since you never received the automated call you're supposed to. Ugh. The tech eventually comes but doesn't actually do anything. He orders parts to be delivered to you to then come back again (yes, going through the entire process above again). But then the technician doesn't actually fix it and then takes the ordered part with him, so when it breaks again, you get to start the entire process over again!!! Fun, right? Definitely worth all that money you paid for a warranty.......

Christy and Irwin were fantastic from the time I walked in until the time I left. They made a hard time in my life into a wonderful experience. They took their time to explain in detail what my needs were and what products worked best for me. They did not try and sell me on just anything and made sure I got value in my purchase. Ashley "automatically" adds the product protection plans into your bill without your asking. If you don't look closely and check the bill over thoroughly, you will automatically get hit with many extra charges for things you don't want. Proceed with caution.

Tried to get an extended warranty on couch for a warped frame clearly covered for 5 years. Can’t get them to come out to my house. Contacted manager several times. No help at all. I now have a couch with a warped frame that looks awful! Do not buy from Ashley furniture they are not a honorable furniture company!!

I purchased a reclining sectional a few years ago, and I did purchase the extended warranty with it-not something I normally do. Well, I started having trouble with one of the recliners and after sending a technician out-in just a few days after I reported the issue-they determined that it could not be repaired. The furniture I had purchased had been discontinued, so Ashley issued me a credit for the entire amount I paid for the sectional. Not just the recliner that was broken! The extended warranty proved to be very useful! Paula at the Athens store was so very helpful in assisting me with purchasing a replacement. The process was very easy and I’m so satisfied. I did purchase the extended warranty for the replacement sofa too…not intending on having to use it, but just in case! Great customer service in the Athens store, went over and beyond!
