Better than last large purchase

Wow! We won’t be back to this location. What started as great customer service provided by Adam (recent trainee) ended with one of the worst customer experiences my husband and I have ever encountered. Surprisingly, the worst customer service was provided by the sales manager, Chance. We had picked out a beautiful round counter height table that we liked at Ashley, but wanted to run back by another store. We had narrowed our decision down to two tables. It was a tough decision, but we decided to go with Ashley! When we went back to Ashley (same day), we found Adam right away. He admitted that he was a recent trainee and still familiarizing himself with the system. My husband and I wanted to skip the delivery since we were without a kitchen table (long story - has to do with children growing up and moving out). Adam had mentioned that we could pick up the table from their distribution center (avoid extra fees + plus get the table sooner ). That was the better option for us! Done! When we went to start putting things into the system, we found out it would be another 3 weeks to get the table and chairs. Apparently, the table was new and on back order. Ugh! My husband asked to speak with the manager to see if they could possibly sell the floor model, or if there was something else they could do. From the second Chance arrived, all we received was sarcasm and condescendence. When I asked for his name, he said he could get a business card. He knew I was planning to send feedback, so he was kind enough to offer a sarcastic reminder for me ....to ensure I remembered what I was going to complain about...his words: “for a delay”. I made the comment, “Thank you, sir, but I didn’t need the sarcasm”. And then he said, “I am sorry that YOU can’t wait three weeks”. I even heard him say to my husband, “You do realize, sir, that we aren’t the only Ashley Furniture store”. Here’s my thoughts, even if you aren’t able to meet the customer’s needs, part of good customer service is being able to interact politely with the customer and maintain the sale. We won’t be back to that location. I only hope my daughter didn’t spend over > $2500.00 on her bedroom set at this particular location!

I bought what I thought was a better than RTG leather living room set and paid about $1200 more. But after a little over a year (beyond the warranty) I now have 4 cushions that the color/dye has cracked/peeled off. I had owned a RTG leather living room set (it was 100% leather, but leather on armchair wore out) for 10 yr. and it NEVER did this. Ashley cannot repair this, the cushion cover has to be replaced. Cheap Chinese $#@!.

Our furniture arrived today. Kids were so excited! After the delivery people got our signature and left...only about an hours later we noticed damage and scratches. My daughters bed also arrived with a broken storage piece and one side was super dirty 😞 so upsetting!

We love their style furniture. We've bought for every room of our new home. We used to be only Haverty people but now prefer Ashley. Furniture is trendier and a lower price point. Allows us to change things up more frequently. We buy now for our granddaughter as well.Havertys is a great store, it's just our tastes have changed.

My husband and I were browsing trying to get ideas for our home, and we're being followed literally every step of the way. I'd sit on a couch just to look up to see the sales lady who greeted us at the front podium looking at me, and then turn away like she isn't following me. Not a fan of this sales tactic. Will not buy from Ashley home store.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Apparently there is a “ZERO” return policy. It seems that AF is more concerned about protecting its money and commissions for the sales people than they are serving their customers. After spending over $2000 dollars, I wanted to return a night stand that was less than $300 and they wouldn’t do it, even after the delivery guy told me I had 72 hours. If they don’t want to take care of the customers, hit em’ where it hurts(their pocket book)! If I can save at least one customer from making a buying mistake, and take some profit away from this store, then I’m good! NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!

Delivery from this store is a joke and customer care does not care. Sat on hold for almost 15 minutes only to hang up and call right back and they answered and didn’t place me on hold. After explaining my situation and being told there was nothing that could be done, I asked to cancel my purchase. The girl didn’t skip a beat “ok, no problem” she tells me. Not even thinking of the commission lost from our salesmen. I don’t deal well with people like her so I hung up and drove to the store. Now I’m speaking with a manager and he agrees that the situation needs to be fixed and that it is the delivery departments error so they need to fix it immediately. After much discussion it was resolved. My new furniture would be delivered on Monday...here I am on Wednesday and I’m just getting notification that it will be delivered tomorrow (Thursday). So I call the store again, customer care places me on hold. Five minutes later I hang up and call back, phone is answered and no wait now. Customer care at this location doesn’t care about anything other than clocking in and out for their paycheck. Incompetent rude, unhelpful, and a bad attitude. I will not be returning to this location and possibly not to any Ashley furniture location.

John Cherico was a fantastic sales associate and would highly recommend. Very nice, helpful, and personable during our experience. We went to Ashley’s with intention of buying the couch we saw online and it was exactly what we wanted. John also took care of the discounts for us that we saw online and we can’t wait to receive our couch. Overall a great experience.
