I came in last night to get some accessories, I was waiting around for some assistance, the person in the front greeted me, said someone will be with you, she was paging this woman, I think she said Darlene, the sales woman turned and blew up yelling at her saying… “Don’t you see I’m busy” (she was just writing something, she could’ve put her pen down for 5 minutes) get someone else she yelled at the woman in the reception in front of everyone and was so mean and careless! She was extremely rude and I see how they treat the staff there, at that point another sales person came to try to help me, but I was very disappointed by the older woman’s behavior, she did not care that I was right there, the way she acted left me with a really bad taste in my mouth, so I left! I think management needs to stop this kind of behavior and pay attention on how a customer and employee are treated! I hope they read this, if it bothers her that much, she should not be working there. It gave me such bad impression, it made me sad :(

I had a great experience at Ashley thanks to Mike Ector, who assisted me with buying our couch. He was very accommodating from the moment I walked in. Even when I didn’t need help yet, he simply let me browse comfortably and checked in from time to time to see if I had any questions. I told him I wanted to come back with my husband so we could decide together, and he was completely fine with that—no pressure at all. When we returned, he was there again and continued to help us patiently while we chose our dream couch. Overall, he was very helpful, respectful, and supportive throughout the whole process. We truly appreciated his service and professionalism!

Ashley store was great for me today. I walked in to look at furniture and I came out purchasing a couch and love seat like. What I got with this purchase is four built in recliners. I went to Ashley this morning. I encountered a Salesman named mark. I think I drove him crazy asking to see this and that and that and this. He was so efficient and knew his products. Great selection of high-quality furniture with a price point for anyone looking for home styling. To start - the customer service was 100%. Mark and his team showed us so much aloha and helped us pick out our dining table. My husband and I wanted to make sure we got the right one for us and being that it's a big investment we went back to the store several times to decide. Each time we were greeted with help and support. There aren't many furniture stores in town, but with that said, I was happy with the options and would go back to get more things from Ashley in the future.

This review is probably more for Ashley Furniture as a whole rather than just Kahului specific. While the staff here are friendly and I had no specific issue here, I just want to say BEWARE to anyone who is considering buying from here that their return policy is only good for FIVE DAYS! That includes a refund or any exchange or store credit. I really don't see why anyone would want to purchase from here under that kind of pressure when any other purchase like from Amazon or Costco for example will offer 30 day returns without any trouble at all. I spent nearly $3,500 on furniture here and just 8 days after delivery realized it wasn't going to work out for me. I sought a return and even said I'd accept store credit for a future purchase and was denied due to the five day policy. I will NEVER shop at Ashley Furniture again, although to be honest I'm not sure if this is their policy at all store locations or just Kahului.

My husband and I went to all the furniture stores on Maui and found pieces for our Ohana at Ashley furniture. We thought they had the best selection and best prices for our needs. While there we were lucky to meet and work with Kim Grundhauser, who was knowledgable, friendly - and helped us with our purchases.

I had a very pleasurable shopping experience at Ashley Slumber World. Actually my intent was not to purchase a mattress but while I was browsing I met up with sales associate Kim and we began to chat about the mattress products and she eventually led me over to the purple mattresses. She invited me to try one out which I did and it was almost like love at first site. What I really love is the fact that Kim put no pressure on the matter. My wife and I just recently bought a mattress from Slumber World in Ashley Furniture. We were helped by Jennifer. She was very knowledgeable of all the mattresses in the store as well as being an honest salesperson by telling her experience with the mattresses. She won’t sell you a mattress that she doesn’t believe in and we very much appreciated that about her. Jennifer was very kind to us and our kids. She made us feel comfortable and did not forget about us even with the other customers she was helping. If you are on the market for a mattress or even new furniture for your home. Go see Jennifer at Ashley furniture and she will definitely take care of you.

The representative did all she could with in her power, given that she is on an island and is restricted to supplies at hand. She was very helpful as much as she could be.

I gave 2 stars because the staff inside was great. Delivery was a different story. Not only was I disrespected and discriminated against but they guy kept asking if I was sure I wanted the furniture several times before bringing it in the house. It did not bother me too much at first since everything else was good but the more I thought about it, the more I decided not to shop here again.

Bought a three piece sofa from Megan back in end of April. Pieces had to be made and shipped. They were delivered beginning of July. I’m so stoked. Wish I hadn’t waited so long to get in there and order what I wanted instead of scanning marketplace hoping to find a deal. Megan was beyond helpful & I’m super pleased with the quality of my sofa.

In April 2024 we placed an order with Ashley Furniture for the beautiful Belziani Loveseat and Ottoman as well as the Bellaby Chest of Drawers and matching nightstand. Daniel Brandt of Ashley Furniture-Maui was our sales person for our order. Daniel is a true professional. He gave us his time and listened intently to what we were looking for, albeit we had a strong sense of what we wanted. Upon placing our order in early April 2024, Daniel supplied all pertinent information about our order and what to expect with timeline estimates for shipping and delivery. He was candid and honest about the process, leaving no stone unturned. We appreciated his forthrightness. We would touch base with Daniel,periodically, regarding our order since it was running later than expected. He would consistently return our call or email when we reached out. Daniel’s Sales and Customer Service skills were stellar…. demonstrating empathy, patience, and “ polish” in engaging with us, the Customer. We could not have been happier with anyone else! We were excited for our furniture when it was delivered July 24 to our home. It was perfect and exactly what we had hoped for. We will continue to purchase furniture from Ashley-Maui and hope to deal with Daniel Brandt for those future items. We highly recommend Ashley Furniture -Maui based on our experience. Megan was such a wonderful help. We found everything we wanted at a great price.

Tried to order some pillows for our couch and was told it would take 2-4 months. 4 months later, I call to find out where my order was and was told that they couldn’t find where it was. They reordered and told me they expedited it and it would take 1-2 months. It is now 2 months later and AGAIN they can’t find my order!! I call to ask for an update and at least a refund on my shipping cost and was told that someone would need to call me back. I waited 3 days, no call back. Now no one answers anytime I try to call. Unprofessional and serious lack of customer service. I had to physically go in to request a refund and was told that I had to wait until the manager returns in a couple days.

Very helpful staff and a pretty big selection. I found a great pull out couch easily and had it delivered the next week!

Worst place ever! Never ever buy something there. The quality is super cheap and priced over the roof. I bought a bed frame last year and within a year and ONE month the frame was broken and they didn’t want to cover it. Customer service was the worst. Attaching photos for references.

The store was great to work with. We purchased 2 sofas, one of which had to be ordered but after delivery we realized the color wasn't going to work. Amazing furniture purchasing experience

As many businesses either closed or flew the coop of Dairy Road, Maui's newest furniture store opened up in 2019. Ashley Furniture was founded in 1997 in Anchorage, AK. They operate like a restaurant chain with corporate and independently-owned stores. In Hawaii, they're run by locally-owned C.S. Wo & Sons who also owns Homeworld Furniture, Slumberworld and Red Knot stores. ATMOSPHERE: The long, single-level showroom took over some decrepit warehouse buildings directly across from the Maui Marketplace, doing double-duty by also sprucing up the neighborhood. Parking is plentiful. Inside, ceilings soar sky high along with big windows which make for a very airy feeling. EXPERIENCE: We were immediately greeted and assisted by Jackie. We were looking for a sofa to replace a defective one we purchased from Inspiration Furniture on Oahu just a few years ago. By defective I mean the faux leather surface started to peel. Off the bat, I noticed a nicer selection of contemporary styles as compared to sister company Homeworld. Secondly, their price on most pieces were more affordable, but that also made me wonder about the quality. A slick-looking, gray fabric sofa caught our eye (see pic below). Priced at $2359.99, it's steep but I've seen many sofas going for more. While we haven't made a decision yet, it's at the top of our list. TIP: They do not sell floor models. Ordering time takes around 6 weeks. OVERALL: Nice selection, fair pricing. If we ever purchase that sofa, I'll be sure to update this review to touch on that quality question of mine.

My wife and I met with Megan at Ashley Store who helped and led us in purchasing a very nice dinning set, and a sofa couch for our daughter. Megan was very, very helpful in what we needed and what we were looking for. She was funny, very polite, and very respectful. We really enjoyed our time shopping @ Ashley Store. It’s the size I was looking for. However, the controls work backwards. The down arrow lifts the foot stool upward and the ⬆️ arrow lowers the foot stool. The cushions are a little hard. They may soften with continuous use.

We needed a recliner and found quite a few to look at and try out. Like Goldilocks we were able to find one that was just right. Lei was wonderful. Mahalo.

Dan could not have been more helpful. We were looking for an affordable recliner and ended up with much than we hoped for. Dan immediately took us around the showroom to save us time. He was particularly in tune with the fact that we have a young child who loves to make messes and play rough. We were wary of spending money on anything they wouldn’t stand up to that kind of use. Mission accomplished! We will be back and asking for Dan!

Megan was super friendly and helpful in assisting us in purchasing a recliner for my father. She had a comforting approach and a genuine intetest in my fathers aged needs. Great price on a quality chair as well.

Darlene was exceptional to deal with! We appreciate her aloha during our visit, no pressure. We did buy a hybrid bed from Serta. Delivery was great. Whoever packaged the bed a day before did damage the bottom left of the bed. We brought it to their attention. We will see what transpires. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Waiting for an answer how they will remedy the damage per their policy within 5 days in their own paperwork. This was our first time to the location since it opened.

I had a great experience with Dan at Ashley’s - I had hurt my back and was unable to make it over there and Dan walked me through my purchase and had my delivery done in 2 days. This was the smoothest furniture purchase I have ever had! I recommend Dan to anyone!!

Great customer service

Huge store with tons of options. However, unlike home world that allows you to customize your furniture, Ashley has what you get on the floor, that’s it. Meagan provided excellent customer service, she able to answer all of our questions and do so honestly with telling us the cons/pros of each piece. We walked out of the store to discuss our options and Meagan was happy to let us do so, not pushing us to make a quick and possibly regrettable decision. We did return and finished the order with her.

We had put a monetary hold that lasts 2 weeks for a specific couch they had and when we went in to pick it up within the allotted time, we were told it was “sold out” and our hold was for the wrong couch. WEIRD considering I sat down during entire hold process and saw my hold was down for the right couch. Too bad. Beautiful couches, TERRIBLE experience. Manager was not helpful at all either.

Buyer beware. They don't answer the phone and they don't call you back...unless of course you're looking to buy something. I have been trying to get in touch with this store since the couch that arrived at my rental unit was delivered with a hole in it. The manager has not taken satisfactory measures to rectify this issue so I have since attempted to contact corporate. I have yet to get in contact with the correct corporate office because they do not service Hawaii and they cannot get into my account because of not having access to the system. All corporate calls are outsourced to middle eastern countries so you can barely understand what they are saying. I contacted the store again to get the correct number...manager is never there (supposedly) and that I would get a call back because apparently the person answeringphones doesnt have thay number either...havent received a call in two days and again of course...they dont answer the phone. Terrible customer service once you have any issues. Will not be purchasing anything from there ever again and I have quite a few new furniture pieces needed for my unit.

I shopped at the one on Oahu at the Waikele location before it closed and purchased several items from there including a lot of accent pieces. So far I’ve only purchased a mango wood 3 drawer dresser and matching nightstand from the Kahului location. Like most furniture stores, I go by myself and so often don’t get acknowledged or approached when I enter the store and will either have to look for someone or wait until someone finally decides to approach me. I don’t know about anyone else, but if I go to a furniture store, it’s because I’ve already done my research and know what I want and am ready to buy now. I think Ashley Furniture has good quality items at reasonable prices that appeal to a range of customers. I had to take a star off because of the pick up location on Wakea. Customers are told by the salespeople to ask the warehouse guys to take the item out of the box before you sign and take item away in case it is damaged in any way. That will save you A LOT of trouble to do that. It sounds like a simple customer request, but you WILL need to be very assertive in order to do that. The warehouse guys will ALWAYS come out with your item still in box on hand truck ready to load in your vehicle and when you do ask them to take item out of the box and packaging, they act like they are doing you a huge favor and it’s a big inconvenience for them. They will open the box and try to show you the item while it’s packed with styrofoam and clear wrap - no way. Item MUST be taken out and inspected.

We had about 10k to spend on all new furniture for our condo. Once the salesperson was informed we were looking for "in-stock" items, he basically told us that everything was about 3-6months out and to go to another store, but that we wouldn't find anything on island that was in stock and we couldn't have any of the floor items. Well, we did take out business elsewhere and got everything we needed and hey, it was all in stock, didn't have to wait 3-6 months, go figure....what's the point of a full store of furniture if they won't even let you take any of it?

Bed came with damaged leg. No problem. Reported damage. Didn't hear anything for a month. Called and talked to rep. Didn't hear anything for two months. Called back, and I'm starting at square one. Missing leg has caused damage to floor due to uneven weigh dispersion. I've purchased many times from this store, but after this service, it will be the last.

I worked with Kurt when purchasing my power reclining sofa from here. Took a few visits to find the right sofa for our needs and Kurt was extremely patient and accommodating during our search and questions. Highly recommend this place based on my experience here. Mahaloz again Kurt!!!

If you don't mind waiting for three months for your order to arrive you can probably find something here. Their in-stock inventory levels are embarrassingly low to non-existent. The general vibe here is *disappointing*.

I purchased a Serta mattress and electric mattress support so that I could move the mattress head and legs up and down. Unfortunately, two times it locked up, I called for help, and the technicians tried, but the fix was only temporary. Then I worked with the General Manager and within ONE day, I had a new mattress support base, upgraded, delivered and installed by friendly servicemen. I am very grateful and recommend buying from this store as they stand behind their products with service and kindness.

Bought a leather reclining couch. Showed up not quite right, broke the reclining mechanism a short time later. Have been waiting 5 months on replacement parts. Horrible customer service. And they will not except it as a return. Junk! Buyer beware.

The store in Maui is very clean, organized with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful employees. This made my selection of furniture very enjoyable and easy.

If by no pressure staff means you don’t even get greeted or looked at. This is the place for you! We were outnumbered by the amount of “workers” in the store and still not even a hello.

While buying my table was fine, will never by from them again. Called to confirm delivery day and time for this coming Monday (I just got rid of our current table), and was told "sorry we forgot we don't deliver on Mondays." I cleared my schedule to have the delivery that day and work the rest of the week. If I hadn't called to confirm I would have just sat around all morning waiting for my table. Now I have no table for my family to eat on for a week since that is the only day I can work around my schedule. And after all that? All I got was "I am sorry for my mistake. At least I am owning up to it." I spent over $1,000, I would have expected at least a discount or wave the delivery charge but didn't even get that. All I am getting for their mistake is "sorry at least I am owning up to it for what it's worth." It's not worth much at all.

Very friendly and knowledgeable

Wish there was an option for zero stars. We purchased a table and tv stand back in December of 2021. The Table arrived in March with a damaged leg. It is now May 17, 2022 and they have not replaced the damaged leg. As for the TV stand It just arrived and it is also damaged. Their solution is to take the damaged merchandise or wait indefinitely for another stand to be ordered. Save yourself the grief, because they clearly don't care.

My wife and I walked out with two lamps we had purchased and unfortunately severe winds knocked over one of them which shattered as it hit the ground. As we started to pick up the broken pieces, a salesman was already coming to our car carrying a broom AND another lamp that he gave to us, no questions asked! The two people I dealt with was the receptionist and Gary (sales) they were very pleasant. I never brought large furniture over the phone, without the "feel and touch", so this was a first for me. Gary was patient and answered all my questions. I became a owner of a power lift recliner in less then 10 minutes, and pick up was a breeze. I will be a repeat customer. We were greeted once when we walked in and the man that greeted us was named, Guy. At first didn’t think I was going to find the right thing but he gave us space to really look and none of the employees made us feel weird about it… considering I had my 3 year old with me as well! He was so helpful to both my mom and I. Ended up find the perfect match for the both us!!! He was so patient and really didn’t seem to mind waiting for us to find the right fit… ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ASK FOR GUY if you come to the store. He is super helpful and doesn’t try to upsell you on things you don’t need…. The item I was interested in was $899.99 with the drawer on the bottom(which I didn’t realize) but he was honest enough to let me know that it would be cheaper without the bottom drawer. AGAIN SO THANKFUL FOR HIM. So kind, patient, and nonjudgmental!!

Store is very beautiful. Lots of choices to make your home looking new. Prices are reasonable.

Lots of furniture decor to choose from; the downside is that everything is sold in sets. For example; coffee table is sold with two end tables, a customer cannot just purchase one end table, or just the coffee table. The prices are so, so; the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I asked some questions about tables, the salesperson did answer the questions. Then just walked off the floor; while I had additional questions. Her co-worker wasn't allowed to give me any info on items, because I was her customer. So I left.

Horrible customer service! After 1 1/2 months of waiting on a couch our order was canceled. Called 2x and got an “I’m new, I’m sorry I can’t help you” had to go in the in person to get my deposit back and was told my order was given to the next person in line. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere!!!!

Ordered our furniture in April-2021, it is now going to be July-2021 and we are now just getting our furniture. Ordered was pushed out numerous times, unacceptable.

Kawika Balauro was so knowledgeable and helpful in educating me about several different options in outdoor furniture, as well as delivery times and available discounts for buying additional pieces in a set. We did our fair share of searching for good furniture on Maui & Ashley Furniture had the best variety & most reasonable pricing. Ask for Chris! He was incredibly helpful & patient. My husband & I took a rather long time to pick our furniture & Chris let us take our time w/o rushing us.

Not one person asked if I needed help. There was one guy sitting at the “service” desk near the entrance but he was on his phone the entire time. I saw a few sales people milling about but I don’t know, maybe, I don’t look like I have money to spend?? Oh, I take it back, there was one woman who told me that an item I was looking at was available in another color. She said this as she walked by. Aside from that, nadas. They must not need the business (shaking my head). Visited on 5-6-21.

Nice but expensive

Nancy and I were searching for a desk and chest of drawers that would fit into her new office. We had the measurements, style and color that was needed. We went to Ashley's and found the items. We measured the furniture and spoke with the sales person. She was with us as we showed her exactly what we wanted. She checked with the warehouse and both items were in stock. We ordered and paid. She informed us that the items would be delivered the following Wednesday. When the truck arrived, we noticed that the dresser they were unloading was not the one we wanted. The delivery people seemed upset. It turned out that the sales lady had written down the wrong furniture. Luckily they still had it in stock. The only problem was that it wouldn't be delivered until the following Sunday. Make sure what is written on the order is what you requested, otherwise you are wasting valuable time.

Walked in, greeted by a nice lady named Louanne & was told if we needed any help, just let her know. So we start walking around to look at bed frames as that's what we're interested in, & notice this same lady who greeted us walking slowly behind us "acting" like she was looking at stuff and "working". So we go on our way & still continue to browse other bed frames, we come across the same lady AGAIN, at this point my fiance and I are a little upset & feel discriminated because we're locals & walking around like we can't afford it. We're both livid, but not letting this women make us feel small. We finally came to an agreement on what 2 we're interested in, we call onto the same lady who has been FOLLOWING us the whole time to check if they had it in a king bed for both. She comes back to tell us she does have it in stock, but had no price(probably cause she think we couldn't afford it, we could feel that vibe). She grabs the price & we took a few minutes to decided & made a decision. Although she made the transaction really easy,the instructions to their warehouse is confusing. We said thank you, & made it to their warehouse which has slumberworld & homeworld on it but nothing for Ashley furniture. Took less then 15mins to get all our stuff & had it up less then 3hrs at home. I just hope Louanne realizes how she made us feel here & hope this company doesn't pride on only helping NON LOCALS & giving their 100% over trying to help the born & raised LOCALS & following them around like we're criminals.

We were really excited to take advantage of their living room set deal. We went in three times and talked with one of the salesperole each time. Several times we asked about delivery and we were told that the guys would try everything to get the furniture into our house. We explained that our house is a second story and everything and constantly told that there would be no issue and if the furniture didn't fit they would take it back.we purchased and waited two months for delivery. I will say that the guys were great and tried everything, but they could not get one piece in. We contacted Ashley and they said that if we returned just the one piece which was a thousand dollar couch they would only refund us $300 or we would have to return everything and pay the deliver fee of $150 plus tax on the delivery fee. We had to return everything and pay the delivery fee even though we got no furniture. We eve asked for a store credit promising to go back to that store to find a furniture set that would fit, but no they wouldn't agree to that. So we are out $200 have no furniture and will not be shopping or recommending that others shop at Ashley

Friendly knowledgeable service

Terribly managed store. I've tried TWICE to spend a couple thousand dollars in this store and the experience was just terrible. First time, after making a purchase, we were told delivery would be about 3-4 weeks, no worries, we're on an island. When the ETD got close we called and they said it would be another 2 months, so we had to cancel that order and get a refund, while already wasting a month in which we could have purchased elsewhere. Second attempted purchase, we tried to buy a floor model queen bed that was listed as "Floor model for sale", we were then told that we could pick it up after they sold ALL OF THEIR INVENTORY IN THE WAREHOUSE, none of which were queen sizes. They said it could take many months before we could pick it up! The floor model was the only queen size bed they had so we had to have that one. If the floor model is not for sale, don't mark it as such (furniture store bait and switch). We even tried to order on their national website and were told that they can't ship to this store as it has a different owner. Strike 3! Don't waste your time in this place. They won't be open long anyway as they have no idea how to run a business, twice I've tried to put money in their hands and they just can't get out of their own way.

We visited the store several times looking for a new sofa & chair. We have many size limitations in our house & a tight budget. Jacqueline was very helpful & patient with us. We are very excited about our purchase.

Been waiting 3 months for a small couch I ordered in-store. Was on Oahu for 2 months and has been sitting on island for weeks at their shipment area. Constantly being updated with an arrival of 3-5 weeks. Just get your couches from Costco, lesson learned.

I loved the layout of the store and the multiple choices to choose from. The furnishings from cloth to leather and everything in between. I also like the accessories that are for sale as well like wall art, silk flowers, plants, vases etc. One draw back was that the only floor rugs for sale is 5x7. Best part and experience of my shopping at Ashley Home Store was my Sales woman, Louanne. She was friendly, patient, flexible, knowledgeable and dressed neatly taking pride in herself and her job. I haven’t had my furniture that I purchased delivered yet so I will re-review at a later time on delivery service.

It's really nice to have another place to shop for furniture and decor items on Maui.

Ordered by phone and then needed to cancel. Store personnel were professional, cheerful, and helpful. Only down side is I was enrolled in txt messaging without my consent.

Very comfortable looking thru the store and very helpful ,we found what we wanted and the store had ìt oon hand thankyou very much Lei.

Way too expensive

Wonderful brand new showroom complete with an array of beautiful furniture. You are immediately greeted by wonderful salespeople, ours was Louanne. She was a great conversationalist and not pushy about the sales at all. The kicker was their amazing deal (as shown) with an amazing price for a full living room set.

Customer Service and patience should be improved at this store. Was helped by Jill. Serious and unfriendly demeanor, very dismissive since at the time we were only inquiring about a bedroom item. Also there was an asian lady sitting at the exit who seemed to be perhaps a greeter, who saw us leave but made no eye contact or thanked us for the visit. We did not feel welcome there . Some furniture looked nice so I give a star for that.

I had fun looking around. It was like a (home show). Prices were reasonable. I particularly liked the wall decor.
