Crystal was so helpful with answering any questions we had about our purchase. She was prompt with her responses, and made everything easy. We especially liked her cheerful personality. Amazing customer service!
Stevie greeted us right away. We discussed what we were looking for. He showed us a few different options. Picked the one we liked, completed all of the paperwork, and were done within an hour. Stevie's salesmanship was on point. But, they don't match internet pricing. Also, prices differ with zip codes. And they don't honor Veterans Discount.
I bought a hybrid mattress and I complained to the store , even called the corporate office and still they would not let me pick out another one .. . And the store model was way softer than the one I received. Do not buy from Ashley....
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Ed at the Bloomington, IL store this week as he helped change our financing from our personal credit card to opening an Ashley card and charging our purchase onto that card. We bragged about him for two whole days as to the exceptional customer service he gave us. There were issues. Got most of them fixed. Stop screwing this annoying crap onto furniture though. I have no way to get this off. Absolutely hate that you needed to wreck my furniture by screwing a string that holds warranty info and additional screws/pieces. Did this on my dresser and my night stand. Update: Guy came by and fixed it. I'm impressed with Ashley's customer service in reviewing my initial review quickly.

Very polite, and not at all pushy. However, when buying from my home phone in Florida for my home in Bloomington IL the store was not at all accommodating in making their advertised zero interest financing available to me. I was forced to provide a credit card or option two - fly to Bloomington to sign a document. Extremely dated procedure which really needs to be updated as to be competitive in today’s retail environment.

I placed an order the beginning of November and was promised delivery Dec 14, 2024. I called to inquire about the time of delivery on Dec 11 and I wasn’t even on the delivery list. So they can deliver on Dec 28- that is our Christmas and I wanted the furniture by Christmas. So I asked about picking it up myself - well they didn’t have all the pieces - have to see if they can get all the pieces in. I said if I’m going out of my way to get my furniture I hope you do something for me- Well it was a challenge for them to get all my furniture in but I can pick it up Friday anytime between 9-2. Oh nice we work! Oh and I forgot to add they were gonna give me a credit of 100 put my delivery fee back! How nice! I will NEVER EVER set foot in an Ashley furniture store again! This was so unprofessional. Never again! Not with Ashley!!

I’m really hoping this is the only review and day I have to return to this location. On November 19th, I decided on a couch I planned to purchase. I noticed that the Black Friday sales had already been displayed for certain furniture/couches besides the one I picked in particular. Just to be sure, I asked an employee if that couch was gonna go on sale as well, but they told me no and that the sales going on are what they have. I proceeded with the purchase anyways because I liked the couch. As someone who loves to decorate and buy items at a reasonable price, I looked at the Ashley Furniture site today on Black Friday and saw THE COUCH I PURCHASED JUST LAST WEEK ON SALE! I went to the store November 29th to see what could be done for the price adjustment and some of the staff members at the bloomington, Illinois location are giving me a strange look, yet not saying anything. Sean White, was very understanding of my situation and sent me to a lady by the name Carl Runyon to correct the amount I paid. Correct me if I got her name wrong. She sat on the other side of the front desks closer to the entrance. She didn’t say a word to me, but her face said enough. I began to ask questions regarding my money and she responded in a non customer service manner. That was just off of one question. I began to ask more questions just so I didn’t have to return. I asked for a printed copy of my receipt just for confirmation and she tells me it’s emailed. I ask for a physical copy and she walks off without saying a word to print the ONE SHEET OF PAPER as if it’s a pain to do...
Purchased a sofa from here recently and LOVE it! I did want to address something though. When I went in to purchase my sofa, I had declined the warranty at the time but my sales person said she would contact me the next day she worked just to double check on whether or not I wanted to added it. Never followed up, and I was actually interested in adding it on. To add onto that, she ordered the sofa, I wanted in the wrong color but told me they would reach out the following day with the invoice for the correct product. They never did. I eventually had to end up reaching out myself to make sure they got the order corrected. ALSO, they never reached out to set up a pick up time for my sofa like they said they would. I reached out the day before it was supposed to be delivered to the warehouse to set up my own pick up time. As a customer, I feel as though the customer service was subpar at best and that after they collected all my money for my product, they could care less about the rest of the sales process.

Stevie was amazing! I visited the store on numerous occasions trying to decide on the perfect sofa and every time he was patient with me. He gave me multiple estimates and measurements and I still never purchased anything. I came in today to look for a sectional I saw online and they had a floor model and knew it was the one. Once again Stevie helped me with measurements and was patient while I sat on the couch for I’m not sure how long,left the store came back with measurements etc! I had such a good shopping experience thanks to him!!

Thank you to Stevie for helping me find the furniture I was looking for. He was very knowledgeable about the fabric I was wanting , and he was a delight to work with! The only criticism I have is Ashley marketing interest free financing. They avoid to let you know there is a down payment required before qualifying for interest free financing. It's unfortunate that the company leaves sales associates to break the news.

He made special arrangements for early delivery of a couch needed for a soon to arrive guest. I definitely appreciated him!

Bought a recliner set with a warranty. When it broke they told me they no longer carried the model so therefore couldn’t honor said warranty. They gave me $100 bux refund on the warranty and stuck me with broken recliners. never again
I stopped in to see couch options, but wasn’t looking to buy, just get ideas. Met Zach R. on my way in and he was able to point me in the right direction and answer all my questions. With it being near closing, I left and eventually returned a few days after and made sure to speak with Zach to make my final purchase seeing as he answered my questions and put me at ease without feeling pressured to make a purchase same day. Would recommend especially with their quality of furniture and new sensible pricing model.

My wife and I went into looking for a living room set. Rodney the salesman who helped us was amazing. There was no pushy sales tactics. He also listened and showed us set's that would work for us. We have a few large dogs which we brought 1 with us so everyone understands what we needed in furniture. Rodney and the store manager Shawn were very accommodating and found the perfect set for us. We used the Ashley financing which was very easy to use. Lori in financing explained everything perfectly and made the signing of the paperwork fast. We definitely will be back again.

We were treated the way we wanted to be. No pressure, no salesman constantly following us around. Let when we had a question Stevie was right there with the answer and offering to help with matching sofas and chairs and moving tables and pillows so we could make our choice. Stevie was a pro the entire time we were there. We seldom buy on our first visit but he made us feel comfortable with our selection.
My sister, brother-in-law and I went in just to look around. I lost my living room furniture due to water damage and was just going to get ideas. Zachary from the Bloomington IL store greeted us at the door and answered all of my questions. He showed us several arrangements, I picked out the items I liked and after working his magic, I am going to have new furniture!! I highly recommend the staff, especially Zachary, for their willingness to help me out!!

My fiancé and I went to Ashley Furniture in Bloomington, IL, and had a good experience buying our next bedroom set. 2 good things taken from that visit: 1) the salesman (Brian) wasn’t following us around the place the entire time, but gave us our time to find what we needed. 2) we found the correct furniture for our home. With a price Brian could help us to “cut” a little more than the tagged price. Our visit went smoother than other times which made me feel really comfortable with my decision.

I have not been to a furniture store in years! I went to the Ashley store and was pleasantly surprised by all of the beautiful furniture. I was specifically looking for a recliner and needed help. We were greeted right away upon entering the store. (Unfortunately, I do not remember the sales associate’s name.) We pretty much knew what we wanted already, but the associate showed us other options for comparison. Once our decision was made, Zachary made quick on the paperwork/purchase. We just have to wait a few weeks for delivery! This was our third time purchasing at Ashley.

Just purchased a sofa from Ashley today. The online price was 400.00 less than the in store price and I greatly appreciate the fact that Ashley honors the online price. Steve the sales person was super nice and very efficient, he had me all set up for delivery and ready to go in no time. It's been several years since I last purchased something from Ashley but will continue to purchase from them in the future oh and I love the sofa!

Had a great experience at first. the sales rep was very helpful. When our furniture arrived, ( I had delivery to the door) my kids brought it in, we opened the boxes and the whole bottom of the chair was broken, along with the ottoman ripped at corner, plastic table portion cracked. Called and sent pictures. Was told I would have to bring them back, that I did not pay for "the white glove" delivery. I had no idea what was. She stated it was in my contract, ok, well, I am visually impaired and figured I was signing a receipt. The only thing she offered was to have the parts shipped to me, then once I received them, call and set up a time the repairman would come fix them. More than 2 months later, they came to fix it. The repairman was very pleasant, repaired everything well. My issue is the lack of customer service. Never once an apology, an offer for anything, a damn throw pillow something. I won't go back.
Dave helped me pick out 2 recliners and an ottoman. He was super helpful and was patient the whole time my mom and I fussed about color matching and patterns. If you go to Ashley, ask for Dave. He will get you taken care of every step of the way! Thanks Dave😁

Zach is the man. We came in kinda undecided on what we were wanting. He looked us in the eye and told us what we were needing and how we were gonna get it done. He took my choice paralysis and ADHD-riddled mind and laid down the law on what would be best for what we were wanting. And when we were looking into optional accessories to make the purchase work better for our design choices, he grabbed a cushion from a different couch set altogether and brought it to our choice so we could see if the ottoman color option would work with the choice we wanted. The initiative and let's get it done attitude was the icing on the cake for the whole experience.

I am only making it 5 stars because I want everyone to read this. Please do not purchase from this store. At first we had help from Zachery and it all went well. Then our furniture got delayed. We made another agreement to have it shipped to our house on May 14th or we would like to cancel and get our down payment back. He agreed and let us know he put us down for that date. Well 14th of May comes up. We cleared our day out and made sure we stayed home to wait for our sofa to arrive. We noticed there was no text or call from anyone. So finally it was around 2 and we called, texted no answer. We went to the store and asked about the sofa. Turns out he never changed it to the 14th and made it for the 18th without telling us. The communication was awful. Then we asked to cancel and refund, they told us they couldn’t do it since the manager was gone but that they did cancel it. The next day Zach calls us asking if we still wanted the sofa. We were confused the day before they had said they cancelled it? So now they are stating that the only way we can cancel is to give them 30% of the money. The manager then told us we can go down to 15%… like that makes things better. Even though they were in the wrong. I wouldn’t have minded waiting 4 more days but the customer service was horrible. They had no regards for people’s time and hard earned money. They took our money, wasted our time and no sofa…

Spent a fortune on a tempurpedic bed that was to deliver 3-23-24. It is 3-22-24 and I had to call them to see what time they will be showing up tomorrow to find out that they rescheduled it for 4-13-24 with NO notification. 3 MORE weeks - absolutely ridiculous. Look in store but buy online!!! We went in for Presidents’ Day sale, but the markup on the furniture was grotesque. We bought the same sofa we saw in store online for 48% less than the in store price. Even if it wasn’t on sale, the online price was 40% less than in store. Out of curiosity I looked at 10-seat sectional which was almost 7k in store but $2,500 online. The huge price difference rubbed us the wrong way and made us very skeptical of this particular Ashley store — (Ashley runs on a licensing model, so prices between stores vary). As the workers need paid, I highly doubt they would match the price online along with free shipping. The huge price difference really made it seem like any price break you got was a “good deal” and would probably end up charging you more than you would pay if you get it online. That really makes it seem like they prey on people who aren’t great with technology and have only bought furniture from a salesperson (usually older people). Just felt slimy. Shipping if we bought from the store would be $103, it’s free shipping online or $130 for someone to deliver and build the furniture in your home. In conclusion, be smart. If you like something in store, sit there with your phone a minute and check it out online. Or write down the product information and go home and check on your computer. Most likely, it’s cheaper with better shipping/delivery options if you buy the exact same thing online.
Dave was polite and courteous and did not come across with a heavy sales push so I felt no pressure to purchase.

Representative was friendly and honest. However, the stores delivery policies and conduct leave things to be desired. They need to find a better way to work out delivery times and dates. Using text and leaving customers in the dark is not the way to do it. Makes it seem like you bought the item off of a unreliable source instead of an accredited source.

I usually do not enjoy walking into Ashley furniture as I’m always bombarded with salesmen. Today I walked in with my daughter a granddaughter with no intention to purchase, we were browsing the sales. However Ben was amazing. He greeted us when we walked in an we let him know we were only looking. Ben smiled a said, no problem let me know if you need anything. He wasn’t pushy yet went above a beyond when we asked questions about pricing. I walked out feeling I got some great deals. I have written maybe 2 or 3 reviews ever. Today I felt he needed to be recognized. I have a granddaughter who is only 3 with autism, every employee was beyond kind. After being there for well over an hour, I must say thank you to the Manager, employees, a mostly Ben for being patient, kind and helpful with our purchase.

She promptly asked if I needed assistance with anything and also provided me information on the current sale happening. I informed her I was just browsing and would let her know if I needed additional assistance. After browsing the store I found Paris to ask her my questions. She was extremely approachable, friendly and courteous!! In addition she was extremely knowledgeable when asking my product questions. Overpriced
It was okay, couldn’t do much with the price after I told them to match prices to their website even though they said they could take $200 off the top. Which was tough considering they said they “couldn’t do much with the prices” before I told them to match prices. Just games on games but the some of the people are nice to work with. Leave and come back to work with someone new if they push you to do things you don’t like.

David was extremely helpful and informative about their product. I loved an oversized chair, but the color was too light and he told me it came in a darker gray, which made my decision easier. He explained their 5 year warranty and how to make any claims if something happens. I definitely would go back to David for future purchases. Well it’s been a month, and still no chair. We had ordered a sofa, overstuffed chair and ottoman from furniture row that is Italian leather and received it 2 1/2 weeks after our order there has been nothing but a runaround from Ashley. I receive several text messages on when I can expect my chair to stating mid August to stating now the end of August let alone to get a hold of anybody at corporate is absolutely ridiculous assistant manager at the Bloomington. Store cannot take the time to speak to a customer. When asked about contacting their district manager was told they do not have a district manager, and there’s nobody else to contact I’m letting them know cancel my order and I want a full refund , I’ve waited long enough I do not recommend going to Ashley furniture.

Great Customer Service!! My family and I just moved into the area and needed the whole house furnished. We had the pleasure of working with Stevie and Josh and they did AMAZING job helping me and my husband! Prior to walking into the store, I had done some research online for the pieces that I wanted so it was nice to see it in person and feel the quality of the items. Not only did I get everything I came into the store for, I also got an exceptional young lady named Paris to take care of me at the Bloomington Store in Illinois. They were having a great sale and Paris gave me Supreme service with a smile. She took care of everything I needed. She was very patient and gave me many options. I loved doing business there and I picked out some good quality furniture.

I was welcomed by Josh when I entered the Ashley store. I had a picture of the table I was looking for and Josh knew exactly where it was. He answered all my questions and was proficient in placing my order, matching the online price. The store is beautiful and well stocked with merchandise. I gave 4 stars because I have to wait now several weeks for the product to arrive, and then it will be boxed and I will have to assemble it myself. Other than that, it was a 5 star experience.

I was given incorrect information from the sales rep. When I returned to make the purchase the manager said there was nothing he could do to help me. Ended up spending hundreds of dollars more than I was quoted. They could have easily made this right and chose not to.

I came in about a half hour before closing on a Saturday looking for a lift chair for my father to buy off the floor for immediate purchase. Benjamin at the Bloomington Illinois store helped me patiently and set it up for pick up the next day on Sunday. My wife and I into look for a couch at Ashley furniture in Bloomington. We were met at the door by Todd, he asked if we were looking for something special we said no we were just looking. He told us if you need anything just ask and he would be happy to help. We went on our own looking around the store. We found one we liked, Todd came over and asked if we were in the military, or first responders? I told Todd that I was retired from IDOC after 30 years of employment. Todd told me that that was good enough and told us that we could get a 15% off the couch, we decided to buy it and took the 6 months same as cash, placed a down payment on the couch and left the store. We were pleased on the the professionalism of Todd and assisted us to purchase our new couch. Can’t wait to see it in our home, hopefully we won’t have to wait to long before we receive it due to supply shortages and of course Covid. Thanks again Todd Don and Donna Niles

Update: during the time I was waiting for my bed, I found I was given misinformation. Happy with bed, not happy with all the things that I was told that were incorrect. I called the store to get info on adjustable base bed. I spoke with Todd and he was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I went to the store a few days later, met with Todd and selected the perfect bed for a very old senior. Very happy with entire process.

Went to look for a dining room table at the Bloomington Ashley location on a Sunday. Was greeted at the door by Crystal. She gave us an idea of where to find the dining room tables, but then allowed us space to look around. She was close by when we had questions. We ended up going home to check the space to see if the table would fit. Crystal followed up with us as promised and let us know of an upcoming sale. Our table arrives in a week!

Was given the wrong mattress from what was picked out in store when ordered. When trying to exchange the mattress, was told we would be charged a fee and a refund wasn't an option when the mattress manufacturer offers both of those things. Skip the middle man and just order your mattress online the first time because if you have any issues you'll have to do that anyways. Edit/update: Was told incorrectly by an Ashely associate that I could go through the mattress manufacturer to exchange my mattress. This is not true. Officially stuck with the wrong mattress or paying a $300+ fee to exchange it with Ashely. My family has spent almost $8500 here in the last year. Never again. Go anywhere else.

David was really friendly helped me out right as I walked in, wasn’t to forward he let me walk around take a look when I found what I wanted he made sure to comment that buying just a headboard isn’t really stable so I ended up purchasing the frame and a headboard which was totally fine because I understood I just did not know while buying a headboard. If I ever need anything else I’ll definitely be coming back!
We are Extremely disappointed! We’ve been sitting on lawn chairs in our new home, waiting for our furniture. When I finally couldn’t stand it anymore, I called the store. Was told by Brittany, at the Bloomington Illinois store (not sure what role she fulfills) that it could take up to 24 weeks. When I complained, vehemently, she told me that I had no right to complain, and that it was explained to me, that it could take almost 6 months for my furniture to arrive. This simply is not true. There is no Way that I would purchase furniture with the expectation that would take almost 6 months to arrive. When I said that I just want to cancel the order so that we could go ahead and get it immediately from Costco (at a better price I might add) I was informed that it would cost a 30% restocking fee. It’s amazing that I would have to pay a restocking fee when the furniture that I ordered wasn’t even in stock. I like to do business with companies whose products are made in America. Unfortunately, Ashley doesn’t honor the tradition of good value and good service.

Visited the store last month to shop for a new sectional. We shortlisted a few but we were told that the delivery time will be 10 weeks as they do not have any of those in inventory. I then searched for those models online and found most of them on JCPenney and with at least $500 less than what was posted as a deal price at the store. I ordered one from there and it was delivered free of cost within 2 weeks directly from Ashley's. Didn't have a great experience at store not because of the inventory issue but no one there even cared to attend to us.
We have bought numerous items from Ashley over the years and have been very pleased with the quality and endurance of the furniture. We recently purchased a bedroom set and living room furniture. Crystal helped us and I would highly recommend asking for her whenever you are shopping for items for your home. She was so helpful and answered our many questions. She was very pleasant and not pushy. We had shopped around at some other furniture locations but we keep coming back to Ashley!

Our Ashley Furniture experience was pleasantly surprising! The store had an abundance of inventory as well as helpful information about any potential wait times, furniture configurations, prices, colors, etc. Prices were significantly lower than surrounding furniture stores in general. Ashley also offers a 22% State Farm Employee Discount to potentially save you even more money! Every member of the staff that we came into contact with was polite and willing to help. We worked with Steve throughout the process of purchasing our sectional and he was knowledgeable, respectful, and had a wealth of knowledge. We bought the sectional thinking it would take 3-6 months to come in(common anywhere you go right now), but it only took two weeks! Delivery was fast, easy, and they arrived within the time frame provided beforehand. They also removed my old couch. I would recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone in the market based on my pleasant experience!

Do not purchase furniture from Ashley furniture!! There products are terrible. Couch falling apart only 3 years of ownership. Bed frame broke 2 days after ownership. They do not honor warranties and punish you if you use it. Do not do it. Go to Sherman’s or somewhere else more credible.

Everything was great until my furniture almost instantly started tearing ect. With COVID it was impossible to do anything about it, I called not that the restrictions have been lifted, come to find out the Bloomington location lied to be to get me to purchase protection plans for my items, if I choose to get them fixed I will go months with no furniture. This is my last purchased with Ashley's the quality of their items are garbage and their customer service is even worse. Would not recommend! Save yourself the head ache!
The staff is condescending and aggressive. At best, they can only promise furniture at least several weeks to months away from when I'd have to pay. Most of the items on the floor had analogs that could be found online at mass retailers for at least half the price. The only use this shop has is to look at furniture to learn your preferences, and then buy it from whatever chain sells it at the cheapest rate.
They sent me the furniture in the wrong color. I was about to give birth and we didn’t have another couch so we couldn’t wait another 8 weeks for the right furniture. The store said they’d be able to give me an in store discount. I could literally find the furniture $500 cheaper on a different website even with the discount Ashley “applied”. It’s quite ridiculous that you can pay $1800 for furniture for them to mess up your order and not do something to fix it.
My husband and I recently purchased some chairs from Ashley HomeStore. There was a miscommunication with the order and we ended up only getting half of what we thought we paid for. Tim at Ashley HomeStore worked with us to resolve the matter quickly and easily. Thank you Tim and Ashley HomeStore!
What a marvelous experience! After waiting 9 months for a chair from another local company (with no hope of it ever being delivered), I went to Ashley Furniture. This chair was badly needed to bring a man who is ill into his family’s living space, so the wait was particularly difficult. Paris at Ashley Furniture was delightful to work with! Manager Tim helped with a sale price. Admin Olivia helped with the tax exempt status. I highly recommend this store, and prices were great!
I order a patio set in July of 2020. Was told that there was 1 in the warehouse and should be ready for delivering 2 weeks. Waited my two weeks called and was told that it was still in the warehouse. Waited another two weeks called again and was told that it was sold to someone else. I received my patio set in May 2021. When I received my furniture it was damaged and I did not get the umbrella that I ordered. I’ve been talking to the store manager Tim. He said he would make this good. After about another month I called again and still no results. I have not heard from them since. Do not go to this store. Very disappointed.

I purchased a bed in February 2021 and it arrived with no legs or corner braces. I called immediately and was told the warehouse would send legs - unfortunately weeks later we received ONE leg and ONE brace. Six months later customer service finally admitted they can't get the missing legs and braces shipped. I'm now waiting on the possibility of a refund but suddenly the customer service folks who responded within seconds are ghosting me so I am not hopeful. Just don't order from them. It's cheap garbage from overseas and they don't stand by their product at all. Save your money. Run away.

Be prepared to wait !!
Truly wish I could give ZERO stars. Absolutely HORRIFIC customer service. After waiting 12 weeks for my dining set (after being told 8-10 weeks), my set arrived damaged in multiple spots. One would think that a company who might take pride in their workmanship would have looked these pieces over before delivery. Just plain lazy workmanship. Customer service indicated they would order a new table - but I am expected to wait another 12 weeks! Technician was supposed to call a week ago to address the stains on the chairs - no call, no show. I have called managers at both the local level and corporate level - only to be told more than once that they are “unavailable” and will have to call me back - and they never do. This company is a JOKE. Spend your money elsewhere - Ashley will never get my business again.
I am in the process to buy a house, and I came here with specific question about. - Prices, - Discount - Times - Warranty I did know already what exactly wanted to buy. So get my questions answered, but I also receive a 45 minutes speech from the seller telling me how ashley.com and ashely local compete against each other for the best prices, "forcing" the local ashely stores to lower down their prices as well, and how it is "Unfair" or "confusing" or "frustrating". The guy didn't stop talking and he didn't even let me talk, the whole conversation was unpleasant!!, and I really LIKE the furniture, but I am hesitating to go back again because I just want to avoid the same awkward experience. Listen!, if you work for a company and you are trying to SELL!!... You don't mention to the client how frustrating it is or how unfair it is the whole franchise. 2 stars because I really liked the furniture.

I purchased two recliners an end table and a coffee table on October 7th. I was told it would be in by mid December. Called mid December and they told me it would now be late January. I called them this week and they told me the recliners were in but the tables have been discontinued. No phone call to let me know my order was in and no phone call to tell me half the order wasn’t going to even be available. This was a Christmas present for my wife and we still don’t have it. I was unable to pick it up myself so my wife called to set up delivery. So after waiting almost four months for our furniture and only getting half of it, they wanted $90 to deliver it. No apologies made and even tried to get us to come back and buy different tables. We also won’t be getting a delivery until January 30th. Will not be going back here.
The salesperson was told the exact dimensions we wanted for a sectional and specifically what side could be longer if needed. He was told we did not want it any smaller than what we stated. He then sold us a couch making it seem like it fit the dimensions we wanted. After waiting 5 months for it to be delivered, it was longer in the side we said could not be longer and not long enough (or even possible to be made longer) on the side that could be longer. In fact, that side was about 20” shorter than the shortest we said we wanted it to be. We decided to stay with Ashley because we know the furniture is lower quality, and we have 4 young kids who will just degrade the quality of the sectional more quickly over time than usual, so why pay more? We were told a loaner couch would be delivered within a week since we got rid of our couches to be replaced by the sectional. We were told the warehouse would call us on Monday. After no call on Monday, I called and left a message as soon as they opened on Tuesday. I never got a call back. On Wednesday, I got a text saying to call to set up my delivery. Our loaner couch will be delivered not the week we were told but the following week, meaning due to their salesperson being slick and trying to make the sale, we will have been without furniture for over 3 weeks. When our kids are older and less destructive, we will never shop at any Ashley again.
I would first like to preface my review by saying Ashley has some of the best furniture pieces around. That being said lets address their price matching misrepresentation. This may have more to do with who you work with than anything else, but nonetheless. Regardless of who you talk with about price matching they all tend to give you the same tired spiel of making sure we're comparing apples to apples with them On two separate occasions i attempted to use price matching to make purchases. The first time was after i received a promotional mailer advertising that the store was offering (if i can remember correctly) a certain amount off on furniture purchases. For those who have been in there recently you may have seen a Seamus Taupe Sectional that may have caught your eye. The two end panels are heated, massage, power recliners. They were showing it as originally around $3200+, but were selling it for around $2400. It would be prudent for those of you that are wise to take a brief moment to look up the furniture piece online to see if it is being sold cheaper elsewhere. It doesnt take rocket science to see that Ashley has a extremely high markup even at promotional sale prices. I managed to find it online for around $1850. Ashley matched the sale with no problem. I walked out of there paying $2050 which included takes and delivery The second time I went in I saw a Kraleen lift top cocktail table and end table with heater that got my attention. Once again i hop online to see if its sold cheaper which obviously it would be as Ashley Furniture is some of the highest priced around. At Ashley the cocktail table was around $439 and the end table was in the $289 -$299 range respectively. I went to The Classy Home after looking up the tables online and the cocktail table was for sale at base price of $261 and the end table sold for $239 and this was before discounts. Ultimately i was billed for $544- minus a $40.00 discount to put me at $505. So i'm dealing with this guy named Sean over the phone because I didnt want to waste my time in the store if they were going to say no. He starts feeding me this crazy excuse that Ashley couldn't price match unless i paid extra for labor to build it. Well I felt that i accounted for this when i insisted on paying $544 instead of $505. I mean how much would you pay someone to assemble two tables??? He made a counteroffer of a little over $646 for the tables incl tax, delivery and set up. He kept insisting that it was not a oranges to oranges transaction. He gave me every excuse there was other than the truth that the store would not make a substantial amount off of me as if I was someone who had not done their homework. Moral of the story is do your homework. Check prices online and don't expect a price match every time you go in. It will simply depend on how much they think they can get out of you. Don't let these guys get over on you with these ridiculous prices.
Time to upgrade
UPDATE 10/30/2020- The manager from the Bloomington branch did reach out to me after I left my original review to discuss. Honestly, it was nice to hear back from someone even if unable to resolve the issue regarding the timeframe. They were willing to process cancellaction without restocking fee which was good. At this time, chose to continue waiting. Hopefully the couch and chair will be worth the wait. Will update once received. Original Post -- So far the experience with Ashley Home store in Bloomington-Normal has been sub-par. I ordered my couch and seat in early August and was told that these were coming in pretty solidly so I should be able to get everything end of August. It's currently end of October. Every time I have called into the store I have requested a call back -- not once have I been called back. Two weeks ago I went into the store itself and talked to the sales rep, Chris, who assisted me to begin with. He was apologetic and stated my couch should be shipped from their supplier Thursday 10/22. He also gave the option to possibly get an in stock couch of a different color and provided his business card. I reached out 3 times to try to accept this option and left messages- no response. I called back in to the main store10/23 and the service rep told me that my original order MIGHT be in store early November. When I asked to cancel the order, I was told that I would be charged a 30% restocking fee. I countered with the fact that this didn't make sense as my issue was the couch is not in stock to begin with-- I was told a manager would be calling me back; once again no response. For all those out there considering Ashley, please keep this in mind. When you're there in person, the staff is very kind, but when you are calling in or when you are trying to get the furniture you paid for-- good luck. There are other better options in Bloomington. I also had orders with for other pieces of furniture to fill in gaps at my new house with Furniture Row and Sherman's -- both were ordered later and arrived sooner. I understand COVID has an affect but seriously-- enough is enough now. It's going on 3 months and I still have no idea when my pieces are coming in or when they might be received.
I picked out a couch about early August and then got told it would be delivered within 4 to 6 weeks. I got an update mid August it was getting delivered w September Well I called to give my address a few days before and when I called to give my new address they told me that my couch was not being delivered or even being made anymore. Had I not called, I would have never known...so I went in to pick out a new couch and the manager worked with me and was really great. Ever since then I have tried contacting to get more information and sales person still has yet to answer any of my questions. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Still left with no couch....first couch buying experience...

Horrible customer service. I purchased a reclining sectional. The reclining mechanism on one of the recliners broke. No one in this company can seem to find that I ever purchased anything from them. Would never tell anyone to go here. FURNITURE ROW would be a better place. STAY CLEAR OF ASHLEY HOMESTORES!!! If I could give negative stars it would be -5.

We bought furniture from Ashley the day after we closed on our new home, 7/30. The salesman was awesome and was very helpful while we were shopping and did tell us there could be some delays with delivery. He even told us a best case and worst case scenario for delivery- with worst case being September, (about 6-8 weeks), best case being in August because it appeared they had the sectional we wanted in stock. We understood and ordered. I called 2 days ago (9/10) and the associate tells me its been pushed back to mid November! She offered to have our salesperson call to follow up...great! Still haven't heard from him. Now, the response I keep seeing from them here is that its due to Covid but fool me twice shame on me. They did the same exact thing to us 5 years ago when we bought our First house and I swore we would never shop here again. Time made me forget just how long we waited. At least we actually have living room furniture this time but Buyer beware! They are slow as dirt and then want restocking fees for stuff they dont have in stock to begin with! I bought stuff from 2 other places in town that same day and had both other sets within 48 business hours. Hopefully our new furniture will be here by the holidays! NEVER AGAIN
My fiancé and I purchased a sofa and chaise from Ashley Furniture for our new home in May 2020. We were given a delivery window of 5-6 weeks, which was a long time to wait but worked for us as that was the time frame we were closing on our house. 6 weeks passed and I called the store for an update. We were told it would be a few more weeks until our order arrived. On August 28, 3 months after ordering and 6 weeks after the delivery window we were told, our furniture arrived. Upon setting up our furniture, we noticed a 3 inch gash in the armrest. The legs were also impossible to attach without ripping into the upholstery bevause there were no holes cut for the bolts. My fiancé actually broke a screwdriver bevause of a staple that was inside one of the holes. Upon contacting customer service, they told us they were aware that there were no holes for the legs to attach, and it would be at least a month before a new arm cover arrived. For the price I paid for this furniture, I am greatly disappointed. Not only have I been without a couch for an extra 6 weeks, I now have a broken couch that won't be fixed for another month, and Ashley furniture knowingly sold me a defective product.
Ordered a couch in May. Couch arrived 2 months late with no updates or notifications from Ashley. Couch arrived with 3 inch razor blade slice in armrest. Update: couch has the bolt holes for the legs covered with upholstery. Leaving no way to attach the legs without tearing into the underside of the sofa. 2nd update: 2 of the holes have whole staples shoved down in the threads. Broke my small screwdriver trying to pry the staple out.
I placed an order on June 8, 2020, was told it would take 5-6 weeks for delivery due to COVID-19. I was unhappy but agreed to wait, as I liked the furniture I picked out and purchased. I bought 2 mattresses, a set of box springs, a dining set, a sextional and an ottoman. I picked up the matresses about 2 weeks after purchase and the set of boxsprings about a week, later. A month after purchase, I called to check on the remainder of the order and was told orders were pushed out 2-3 months and my delivery was "misquoted," by the saleman. I, immediately, went to the store,hoping it was a mistake. When I arrived and spoke to the salesman, he apologized and said there wasn't anything he could do. He, then, told me that the items I bought were out lf stock and on baxkorder. I reminded him of the delibery time frame he quoted me and showed him the esrimated date on my invoice. I inquired about canceling but was told I would be charged a restocking fee, 30%. At this point, I'm livid, but kept my cool. I explained that charging me a restocking fee for furniture that is out of stock didn't make any sense. The asssitant store manager chimed in, at this point, being rude, in front of other customers and store employees. Feeling unsatisfied, I lefr and contacted customer service. I, assume, customer service contacted the store manager, who called me a few days later. He apologized and stated that one of his employees was disgusted by the way the assistant manager treated me and apologized, asking for my side of the situation. He gave me his personal cell number and vowed to assist, in any way he could. I explained the lack of transparency by the salesman, who seemed more concerned with receiving a commission than being honest. I agreed to wait it out, being told that my dining set would areive in 2 weeks amd they were unsure about the sectional amd ottoman. Dining swt arrived about 2 weeks later and I picked it up, as well, even though I paid for white glove delivery. My delivery fee waa refunded, took 3 weeks to get it because it had not been forwarded to accounting to cut me a check. I only received after contacting corporate related to the refund. 2 months after purchasing my furniture, I contacted the store, no answer. Left voicemail, no returned call. I reach out to corporate, again. A few days later, I receice a call and the same woman that told me i would receive all of my furniture pieces by the beginning of August, tells me the sofa end of my sectional and the ottoman is in but the chaise end of the sectional would not be in, until the end of the year. I canceled on the spot and was told since I paid in cash it would be 2-3 weeks for me to receive my refund. I, again, contacted corporate. I received my refund, within a few days of speaking to corporate. I was charged a restocking fee for furniture they don't even have made. I would recommend going to a locally ownwd furniture store! The day I canceled, I went to a couple of local stores, found a nicer sectional, bought it and had it delivered within 48 hours! Shop elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

I would like to leave a review so that anyone interested in shopping here knows what is expected. I went into the store and was greeted by a very nice woman (Mara I believe) and she had informed me they were understaffed due to COVID-19, which is of course expected. She politely told me to wait until Tim (Field manager if I heard correctly), was free. I waited patiently from about 11am on Sunday, 4/26 until about 1-2pm when I got help. Told him I was interested in getting a couch/living room set as well as bedroom furniture within my budget. We found a couch that would have worked with perfectly with my living room, features I wanted, and the fact I was able to take it home that day. Well, due to it being a little more than what I expected to pay, I decided to apply for financing to afford both the living room furniture and bedroom furniture. This took about 5min or so and he had helped someone else in the meantime. We then got back together and he informed me the couch was no longer available due to him “holding it for someone from the day before.” This is what started to upset me very much. He then proceeded to tell me that he did not expect them to come back for it and that is why he offered it to me. Even after I applied for financing, he told me, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know whether or not you we’re actually interested in it and I kind of promised it to them first.” Okay, at this point I probably should have just left but I stuck around to see if maybe he could give me something comparable at the same price for this inconvenience. After showing him the couches I wanted, they were just not able to come down on the price because “they weren’t on clearance” like the one he originally offered and then sold it to someone else. After this I still proceeded to see what he could do on bedroom furniture which seemed to workout okay in my eyes but after thinking about it more of what happened with the couch, I decided not to do business entirely. I’m sorry but if you can hold it for someone, yet still offer it to another person and then proceed to tell them “sorry, I didn’t think they were serious”, I just can’t do business with that.
We purchased our dinning room set and are very pleased. The service in store and delivery was great!!!!
Michael was very helpful when working with us to find a new living room set. He was not the pushy sales person type. He showed us a few things then let my wife and I look around and have time to think without ever feeling like he was pushing for a sale. All and all good experience at this location!

I have purchased several new pieces of furniture from Ashley Homestore in Bloomington IL where the selection, layout, service and knowledge of the staff was exceptional. After receiving help from Michael Fitzgibbon in the purchase of a new living room set and the excellent service I received, I asked for him specifically the subsequent times I patronized this store for other furnishings. Each time I received superb service and would like to commend Michael on not only his knowledge of the product but his excellent demeanor and friendly attitude. It was quite refreshing as other stores I’ve done business with could not compare with the service I received at Ashley and specifically by Michael.
We were looking for some very specific pieces and were helped by Michael F. He was so great in advising us and really listened to our needs, then showed us pieces that would fit those needs best. We can’t wait to come back and work with him again for a chair we have been considering! I highly recommend him.

Kyle saved the day again! Our last TWO purchase experiences were a success only because Kyle stepped in. When buying our mattress months back our sales associate told us we had to buy 2 twin adjustable bases because a king size wouldn't fit. We were disappointed to hear this, so Kyle stepped in and did some calculations. He said we COULD get the king base into our master bedroom. I just bought some dining room chairs, and had some follow up questions as the price online was lower than what I paid. The guy I purchased them from sent me a text that said "I'm on lunch. Call the store, they can get you situated." Not a cool move when you work in sales... I went to Ashley where Kyle stepped in to help. He explained everything thoroughly, and was extremely polite. He adjusted the tickets for me and kept the original delivery dates! Ashley is lucky to have Kyle, and we look forward to having him help us with future furniture purchases.

We were looking for a new bedroom set and found 2 we liked. We worked with Michael Fitzgibbon as he went through every detail of both sets and were very happy with his knowledge. We never felt pressure at all from him and ultimately purchased one of the sets after visiting every other store in town. After our set was delivered, we noticed a defect in our headboard and had gotten a hold of Michael right away. He had gotten a hold of customer service for us, and has kept in touch with us while the manufacturer is sending a new one. Communication goes a long way with me, so next time I need new furniture I will be talking to Michael again.

As we were leaving, we asked about a bed we just laid on for a second & we loved the comfort of it. We told them that we would come back in a couple days. We did come back & Kyle was so helpful & he really knows his product. He had us both lay down while he went through everything we needed to know about the bed & boy were we sold. We walked in an hour and a half before closing thinking that would be enough time. It wasn't, it took us awhile to decide what we wanted & we kept adding things to complete our living room. The staff was very helpful & didn't give us any impression that we were keeping them past closing time. Omar helped us, even though we were not sure ourselves, to come up with a very happy & successful living room redecorate. He would grab our furniture & set them up how they would be set up at home, to give us an idea of how it would look & how the colors would blend. My husband and I purchased a sectional from here over a month ago and have had a horrible experience with this purchase. We were surprised how poorly everything had gone with this experience because we haven’t had this many problems with our previous purchases here. When we purchased the couch we received a text update from the representative who had helped us a few days later stating that our couch would be arriving at their delivery facility in a few days and to expect a call soon to set up delivery. A few weeks passed after we had received this text and we hadn’t heard anything so we called back into the store and were told that we would have to wait a few more weeks because the couch was placed on back order with no explanation as to why. So we wait a few more weeks and call in again and are told that we’re going to have to wait at least another full week before we can set up delivery. The communication regarding this purchase has been horrible and we made sure to purchase the couch in plenty of time before our expected delivery date so that we could make sure it was there on time. To anyone who is reading this I recommend that you make sure to allow for about 2 months from the time of your purchase until your couch actually gets delivered and make sure that you call in to check on things because they won’t call you to give you any updates.

He was able to price match the prices online to the prices in store and that was a huge success. My wife and I purchased a new TV stand and 3 end tables. We will definitely shop there in the future for furniture.

We just bought a chair from Ashley furniture in Bloomington, IL and had a great experience. We seldom write these reviews unless great service. Colin did a great job explaining the product and found a way to find the chair we wanted even though it was not in stock. He was very helpful and will ask for him when we go in again. When shopping for furniture we always check this place out. They have a very nice selection generally but don't always have the best prices. However we usually find something to take home. I recommend you check out other furniture stores along with this one to make sure your not overpaying as Ashley's products are available at other furniture stores as well. We have visited this store several times and don't know that we have ever been helped by the same employee. Not sure if there is high turnover but everyone we have dealt with is friendly and helpful. They may not be the most experienced so try negotiating on prices or extras to see if you can get a better deal.
We initially went into the East Peoria and they gave us a great price for the couch we were wanting - we live in Bloomington and went back home to measure just to be sure and went into this store since it’s closer. The manager, Aaron, immediately questioned the quote we had, was incredibly rude and confrontational and had a terrible attitude from the start. The best part: THEY WOULDNT MATCH THE QUOTE BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY COULDNT. So we walked on out and drove back to East Peoria and saved over $200. We knew more about the couch then these people working. Save yourself money and drive to the East Peoria store, the workers are nicer and you’ll get a better deal.

I couldn’t be any more satisfied with the service I was given today at the Ashley Furniture Homestore located at 1500 E Empire St in Bloomington, IL. The Ashley Rep that assisted me (Steve H) answered all of my questions and helped me find the perfect couch for my apartment. This was my girlfriend and I’s first time purchasing brand new furniture so we were nervous and excited but I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. While looking at furniture we were also greeted by the Store Manager (Aaron), he was also very knowledgeable and answered any additional question we may have had. From the time we met both Steve and Aaron, my girlfriends and I have never established such a great rapport in such a short amount of time. Needless to say, we made our purchase and plan on returning for all of our furniture we need in the future.

Went to look for a twin mattress for a kid. Worked with Chris Arrington who was new. He wasn't well-versed in all of their products but was patient with us & very caring & helpful! The worst part of our experience was trying to redeem a credit from a warranty package we paid for other furniture we bought 6 years ago. They initially told us it wasn't possible to have that credit anymore, until we pressed the issue. They eventually allowed us to use the credit but not towards any item with other discounts, even though our paperwork never stated that. They eventually gave us a discount on a mattress we wanted, but wasn't the same initial discount/sale they had on it. We went ahead and bought the mattress because we were able to use our credit instead of going somewhere else. Ashley, as a whole, doesn't have good policies. If it weren't for the credit we had, we would have went elsewhere.
I went to this store a while back to get a couple pieces of furniture that I needed. The sales person that was helping was named Clarisa and she did a fantastic job. She was very knowledgeable and knew what she was talking about. The furniture that she helped me pick has done great so far. It was a great shopping experience and I would highly recommend.

This was our first experience buying brand new furniture and I am glad we came to this store! We worked with Izzy and he was a blast! My husband prefers to go online because he feels hastled by salespeople when we go out to buy big price items but, he enjoyed himself as well. We didnt feel pressured to buy and Izzy was able to get us to the price we were looking for with no hassle. We just received our furniture not too long ago and we love it, it is perfect. We believe giving credit where credit is due and we loved working with Izzy and will definitely be back.

Savannah went above and beyond in her customer care for me today. I expected delivery of a Buckie Board for this Saturday and the delivery was never put into the system. While Savannah checked to see if she could "squeeze" the delivery in on Saturday, she also did some research and discovered that I actually needed a foundation! If not for Savannah, it would have been another week that I would be sleeping on the floor.
I recently visited the Bloomington, Il store and was immediately greeted and welcomed to the store by Morgan. Upon asking me if there was something in particular I was looking for, I showed her a picture of what I was interested in for my husband’s den. She then proceeded to show me various pieces of furniture she thought I might be interested in. Not only was she very knowledgeable about what the store carried, she seemed to pick up on exactly what I was looking for. By far, it was a great experience!
I had a great experience shopping at the Bloomington store. I was looking for a couch and chaise. They didn't have what I was looking for in the store but Clarisa was very helpful, she helped me to pick the couch and chaise that I wanted online. Also with help of Morgan and Kat to select the right color and the decor to match my set. Christin worked with the me on the price that I wanted to pay. All together these ladies had great customer service Clarisa, Kat, Christin, Morgan, and Savanna.

Waste of money and time!!! Warranty is a joke!!Warning!!!My wife and I bought a couch a couple years ago and bought their warranty with it. I called a month before the warranty was up after being transferred and playing cat and mouse I get ahold of the warranty provider. Keep in mind this is the second company they have gone through. When speaking to the warranty person they asked when it happened and what spilled on the couch, I replied I’m not sure we noticed it and that’s why I’m calling. Since I couldn’t provide that information they denied me. What the hell!! They also told me there is a certain amount of time/hours I have to call in to report what happened and know what spelt on it and what I did to get the stain out. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! Not only that but before the stain the couch happened the couch also squeaked when we sat down on it, we had a tech come out from that warranty company and he used gorilla glue and THAT WAS IT. Well take a guess what happened a few days later....You guessed it right It went back to the way it was before he came out. I spent over two thousand and recommended this to a friend when I bought it and this is what I get. I will never buy from Ashley Furniture ever again please save your time,money and you will get better quality furniture from Walmart or a local hardware store.
I love shopping at Ashley furniture however my experience at the Bloomington location was horrible. The sale's associate Kat was great but the manager was extremely rude. Whenever I tried to ask questions about lowering my price to match the price online, the manager got very rude and interrupted me every time I spoke or asked a question. After I was told that they could not price match because they could not add the items in the online shopping cart & print out the prices, I called the Ashley store in Joliet and the associate shared that the reason the items could not be added online is because the furniture was sold out & could not be ordered online until April. This manager should learn how to speak to customers and not talk down to them.

I had a great experience here! Amongst the busy checkout line that swarmed the front desk Savanna proceeded to get people out of the door in a timely manner and did so with a smile on her face. She really knows what she’s doing!
I had an excellent experience at the Bloomington store. Bill greeted me and daughter as we walked in and after we told him what we were looking for he showed us everything. He even ended up staying a little past his scheduled work time. We picked something out and at check out Savanna was right there explaining the process of our payments. She provided excellent customer service! This store has excellent people with great customer service! I will be shopping here again.

I purchased a living room set on Feb 27th. I was told all pieces would be available in warehouse on March 9th. And we could expect to pick them up about a week later. On March 3rd I got a call that our order is being delayed and that they won’t have a few pieces in until the end of March and that we would be able to pick them up the beginning of April. I called today to see if by chance the order might be available sooner, and to my surprise it is being delayed again by a couple more weeks. When we bought the furniture we bought it partially based on the date of availability. I had knee surgery and we needed the furniture soon after my surgery. And now it won’t be in within the timeframe we were given to help me since I’ve had my surgery. Customer Service was great before the sale was complete. Now that the sale is done, the customer service is not so great.
My wife and I stopped by the store to look at a variety of furniture and were promptly greeted by Crystal. She was polite and professional, and checked back with us as we wandered the store. We found a table that we liked, and Crystal was very accommodating with our delivery and pricing needs. We ordered the table, and look forward to years of enjoying it in our new home. Crystal and Savanna were fantastic- I will certainly be checking in with them on our future furniture needs.

Went into Ashley Homestore with my husband back in October to purchase a recliner for my house and we found one for a discounted price. Our sales associate Arlysha was a huge help as well as the Sales manager Edd. He even gave us a better discount which was greatly appreciated. Me and my boyfriend visiting the store recently just to look. Bill helped us around the store and really gave us a good understanding on how purchasing furniture works. He was very friendly and personable. Prices were very good too.
My original post was an unhappy one but I am proud to say that they were able to change somethings around and fix my concerns. Because I am a forgiving person they are now good in my book. Hopefully this helps Ashley Home Store!
I usually don't do reviews, however I felt this needs to get out .On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, I went to Ashley furniture and had (let's just say) a HECK of an experience .I was working with Sean (who was really nice). It wasn't his fault the system was down 1st of all. They finally run my credit (of course hitting my credit) and I find what I'm looking for. Now mind you their system is down, but they were able to run my credit .Sean gives my info to the young lady at the desk ( Stephanie) and says she'll be right with me .By the time it's my turn she doesn't understand or whatever the issue was. After she physically got out her cell and tried calling (what I'm guessing was her supervisor) to get help to resolve this issue to no avail. I left the store and told them I'd be back in awhile. I borrowed my friends car to return and still could not get this order resolved. Also, once I left the store without making this transaction, I get 2 calls from the Sales Guy, stating someone else was now looking at the set I wanted (FLOOR MODEL). Let's go forward to today November 20th I received a call stating it would be delivered today and as of now I hadn't heard from anyone. I called to see when they would be out today the 20th and I'm told I didn't get this call telling me today was not my delivery date .Okayyy, so I just made this up .Mind you I told them I needed this by Thanksgiving, 2018 not 2019. After, several calls to Christi? and Stephanie I'm told I can gladly cancel my order with a 30% restock fee or if I decide to purchase something else they would "Only" charge me a 15% restock fee. NOW LET ME TELL THE WHOLE STORY . I BOUGHT THE FLOOR MODEL!!!! OR I could pick it up on the far East Side Of Bloomington myself. I did ask to speak to a manager Edd and of course he's not available he's with a customer. I asked to speak to someone higher and they told me that was it he was the highest Manager I could go.. Sooo needless to say reviews Really Really do tell the story. Now I'm stuck paying the 30 % restock fee for merchandise that was already in the floor....
Delivery guys were great! But thanks to a sales person that didn't listen to the customer and a manager that doesn't know what priorities are, and customer care that doesn't actually care, this customer would have had a better experience buying from Amazon, that's right buy a sofa from Amazon, at least you know what to expect. I knew I should have gone to sherman's, and will do so next time and I suggest anybody else who truly wants a hassel free experience, do the same!
Sean assisted me with finding the perfect furniture for my new house. He was patient and allowed me time to explore the store on my own and gather an idea of what I liked before jumping in to offer suggestions and ideas for complementary pieces. He was extremely helpful and I felt like he took the time to understand me and what I was looking for - making the process that much easier for me! I'm sure I'll use Ashley Homestore in the future, and I sure hope Sean will be there when I do because he was fantastic and I'll plan to only work with him each time I go back! If you choose to go here, ask for Sean and you will not be disappointed!

Lower your expectations if you choose to do business at this location. My wife and I purchased $6,300.01 worth of furniture on 9/21/18. We worked with a salesperson named Ashley on multiple pieces that day. Yesterday our bedroom set arrived and was set up. However, we discovered the wrong mattress was delivered. We learned that Ashley entered the wrong firmness for our order. We called today to remedy the situation, but were told they do not accept mattress returns. Puzzled by this generic and poorly thought out response, we attempted to speak with Ashley directly thinking she would remember our interactions as we spent quite a bit of time with her. She apparently did not remember us and actually argued that we selected Firm, which is ridiculous on numerous fronts. On 9/21 she offered to run their in-store diagnostic machine on us. She asked how we sleep and we told her we sleep on our sides. She explained to us that the result for both of us was Medium. We tried the Medium mattress. Then, my wife tried Plush and preferred Plush. We eventually agreed Medium was the smarter play long-term. Firmness did get discussed and the conversation took place in front of Ashley. The discussion took place on the Plush to Medium end of the firmness scale. Firm was dismissed very early in the process while we were there and never mentioned again. If we wanted to sleep on Firm, we would just sleep on the floor and still have our $824.50. The bottom line is we selected Medium, yet we received Firm. Customer Service was useless. Ashley decided she would rather be rude than admit her mistake. She went on to tell us there was no manager there, but one would call in 30 minutes. That was yesterday morning.
Extremely rude sales force
I bought 3 pieces of furniture from them (a sectional, a coffee table, and an entertainment center). The day they delivered the furniture they said that the coffee table had fallen during transport and had hit the corner of my entertainment center chipping it and destroyed the coffee table. The said customer service was notified that day and they would replace the table as well as the top of my entertainment center. Well fast forward 3 months later and still had no table and the top was not fixed. After several calls with customer service and the manager I finally got everything straightened out. I asked for compensation they refused several times. After speaking with the manager he said he would knock $100 off my total bill (still have not seen that and it's been 2 months since we talked) and customer service also stated they would give me a $150 gift card for my troubles (still haven't recieved that either.) I will never buy another piece of furniture from them and HIGHLY recommend anyone thinking of buying anything from them to reconsider and go elsewhere so it saves them the headache of dealing with this company. I have made sure to tell my friends and family to never buy anything from them because of this ordeal.

Don't buy there furnisher protection plan because it don't work it like you giving them free money because that what I did when I bought my bedroom set and my dressel came a part I call them to make a claim and get it fixed they denied it so don't waste your money LIKE I DID 😡🤬oh and my bedroom set is 2 years old and it falling a part so I would not be buying anything from Ashlyn furniture store again
I recently purchased a bedroom set from Ashley's home furniture. The sales people are friendly and in abundance when in the market to make a purchase. My only complaint is when it's time to proceed to the front counter to make the purchase, you will wait longer than necessary. I returned to the store as I was told to do because I refused a few pieces of furniture that I was not happy with. I waited in line for at least 20-30 minutes while only one person was working the front counter. In the meantime, I watched in disbelief while 10-12 sales associates walk around the store waiting for customers or they stood around in a group talking. I find this to be poor management when aftercare is just as important as making a sale. Having more people working the front counter and especially during a sale would have been better customer service to keep customers coming back.

Shaun M(Senior Product specialist) walked us through the store and helped finding the sectional that was perfect for us. He has good knowledge about of the furniture and helpful person. The furniture was delivered on time and had an issue , which was reported and came in next day to fix it. Happy with the service overall. Thank you.
Went to Ashley and ignored friends who said don’t do. Met a wonderful sales lady and she was super helpful. I asked her about Ashley’s poor reputation with furniture and she explained they target first time furniture buyers with lower quality but affordable furniture. She then took us to what she said was their top line furniture. We found a set that we really liked. She told us if anything at all went wrong with the furniture the extended warranty wound cover it. Two years later the cushions look like giant flat beanbags. The chair has a major gap between the back and lower cushion. It is terrible to sit on. I called the extended warranty company and shared pictures of the damaged furniture. Their response was they wouldn’t do anything about it because it was cushion compression. Not their fault and that’s it. I called Ashley and they were unwilling to help. The common term they used was cushion compression which means not gonna do anything about it. She stated I need to fluff up the cushions after sitting on it each time. She called it basic maintenance. When u pay multiple thousands of dollars for furniture I expect it to hold up better than this. I can buy giant beanbags at Walmart a whole bunch cheaper and would be way more comfortable. Please be careful Poor quality Extended warranty is tough to collect unless it is the frame. Spent a little more and get furniture that will last longer than two years. Good luck.

This place sucks. We spent weeks contacting the store trying to check on the status of the items we ordered. Not once did the store initiate contact with us. Finally, a month and a half after the store took our money and told us our item was being delivered, we were told they don't sell the item individually (seriously?). We asked if we could get a comparable item for no extra cost and were told the lowest price they could give us was 11 dollars more than what we originally paid. After such a terrible customer experience, I asked if we could get the 11 dollars waived and they said no. They also wanted to charge us another 55 dollars to have the item delivered. I asked if we could get the delivery fee waived due to this awful experience, and again the answer was no, so we have to go pick up the item ourselves after paying an extra 11 (eleven!! Seriously!!!) dollars. I cannot WAIT to pick up this item so I never have to deal with this store again. Do NOT get their furniture. It is not worth the terrible customer service.
One star is generous for this horrendous excuse of a furniture store. I purchased a couch on May 3rd with Jejo. Immediately upon purchasing the couch we contacted Jejo with an additional request to order another ottoman to make the couch into a "u" shape. It took numerous messages and emails to get in contact with Jejo. When we finally received a response from Jejo, on May 29th, she told us she would get us an answer and call us back before noon. That evening we called the store as we did not hear back and were informed that was Jejo's last day and that they would not be able to honor the quote she gave us. Frustrated we agreed to pay the newly quoted price with the manager, Eli, and placed the order on May 29th for the additional part. Shortly after placing the order we received a package from Ashley Furniture with a ottoman cover but no ottoman. We called and spoke with guest services, they said they were able to order the part, and updated the order. A week later... We received the same item, an ottoman cover. We called once more to say that we needed the ottoman and not the cover, they said the correct item has been ordered and it will be delivered to our address, but again, we only received the cover. We called again and spoke with guest services and they said the proper item was ordered on June 11th and they were going to put a rush on the delivery. On July 9th we called the store and they said that unfortunately the part cannot be ordered and that there is nothing they can do. The couch is no longer a floor model and they can in no way provide us with the part that we were expecting, paid for, and have been waiting over two months to receive. If it was not for us continuously contacting the store, they would have gladly taken our money without ever providing the part we ordered or initiating contact with us. On July 9th we ordered a similar part, slightly larger, because it was our only option and there was a difference of $11. We asked if they could waive that additional charge given the circumstances and they said they could not. We attempted to apply our 20% off coupon that was received at the inital time of purchase to this purchase and they would not honor it. We paid the difference because it is the small price to pay to never have to work with this store ever again.
My wife and I recently went to Ashley to purchase a new bedroom set. We were assisted by a friendly and helpful employee named Matt Squaire who was the perfect balance of helpful and respectful of our browsing. We appreciate the experience he gave us and we would happily recommend Ashley to friends and family.
Family is remodeling their house and we went to Ashley to find new furniture. Donald and Christin were very helpful. They went as far as contacting their merchandiser so we could take a chair off the floor since we had no furniture because we had to wait for shipment. Highly recommend Ashley!!

Megan was an absolute rockstar in helping us get the perfect living room set. We were having trouble envisioning colors and decor and she took the wheel and gave us something better than we could’ve pieced together. She was honest, genuine, efficient, friendly, and SO helpful. We won’t go anywhere else for future furniture. UPDATE: although Megan was a wonderful sales rep, I’d give anything to be able to return what furniture we currently have and go somewhere else. It’s been an absolute train wreck. After an error on our part for the first pick-up, We re-ordered a piece of our sectional and we’re assured it was “rush delivery”, which is a joke. Just over 3 weeks later, and 3 weeks of our living room looking ridiculous, the truck just showed up. We’ve been so excited for it to finally arrive and I was heartbroken to find that the wrong piece had been ordered all together. The whole ordeal from start to finish is just shy of two months and we still don’t have a full living room set. It’s maddening knowing we will have to wait ANOTHER 3 weeks. We just had a baby and have lots of family due to come visit from out of state and we never imagined this being an issue still by the time they arrive (next week). EVEN MORE: the “fabulous” $250 coffee table we bought came with a warped top piece. So we have two random pieces of furniture on opposite sides of our living room and a coffee table that’s bowing in the middle of it all. When the truck arrived the table was absent. The worst part is never in any of this have we been monetarily compensated. It’s absolutely ridiculous. We 100% will never be purchasing from this store again. It’s been total chaos and an utter disappointment.

My wife and I received a flyer from Ashley regarding 0% financing on furniture purchases at our Bloomington store. I did a quick look on the Internet to see what, if any, type of gaming chairs i could find for the Xbox One in our basement. I found a piece of furniture that was such a good deal that we made a trip to the store. As we entered we were greeted by Joe Kuntz, who then became our salesman. Joe helped us order the exact piece we were looking for and did get us an additional discount on another piece that my wife just had to have. I can attest to the professionalism that Joe displayed, he was patient not pushy and made several trip to find answers to our questions regarding our purchase. This is not our first time buying furniture at this Ashley HomeStore in Bloomington and each time that we have purchased a piece of furniture we are truly satisfied with the service we have received and quality of the item for the price we payed. In closing I'd like to say thanks to Joe Kuntz for his assistance. Oh, and just to set the record straight: the furniture we purchased will not be used with the Xbox in the basement, way to good for that!
My experience here was very pleasant. I went in looking for some different options to replace items in my home and the prices seemed very reasonable. I explained what I was looking for and they took me to see my options without thrying to get me into a bunch of other things I didn't want or need.
My husband and I were there for quite a while before we left and not a single employee asked if we needed any help.

Matt introduced himself to us and we told him we weren’t looking for anything in specific. He kept bothering us and being pushy about buying a bed - something we said we didn’t need. After dragging us over to look at the beds, he told me that I “should probably lay on it and stop staring at it.” Needs more training on how to interact with customers.
I want to change my review from 2 months ago. Now that we have our funiture we do like it, so far. However, the attentive salesman clearly had no intention of continuing to provide service once we paid. We were told he would be in touch as our delivery drew near, when we were actually contacted by two different people from other locations.He DID send an email to remind us of the "Columbus Day sale" that had been extended, and asked if we would like to talk more about that living room set we were considering. Funny-we just bought the whole set two days previous! I tried to contact him to ask about the sale that was never mentioned (in fact he said they don't really run sales, the discount is based on how much you purchase) when shopping, and that he promised his manager wanted to make "CRAZY' deals, and the fact that once we came home, we saw that we could have purchased everything for less straight from their web site. He was never available. NO response to my email. NO call back. The "white glove" delivery left a stain on our sofa and black marks all over the door they had to remove. A repair/cleaning man had to come to take care of the stain. With this kind of service (my husband said "a stereotypical used-car saleman selling furniture"), I doubt our furniture or the protection plan will hold up to our expectations. ONE las thing-it is incredibly RUDE, AWKWARD and PUSHY - just bad business- to force a customer to post a review while hovering over them at the end of a sale!!! Cannot even believe I did that! We will not be shopping here in the future.
First off I have to say Joe was a very helpful and patient salesperson. He even stayed after closing time to accommodate us. The value for the product was impressive. We did had a issue with an order modification which was resolved in a professional, customer focused manner. I will definitely shop here again.
The over all quality of the furniture it poor for what you pay. When I contacted them about something that was broke starting in august I've had nothing but a run around after sending pictures in talking with customer service and sales and yet it's still not fixed! I purchased the extended warranty in hopes it would actually be beneficial but it's far from it! I will not be purchasing from here again!
At first, we liked our experience. The saleswoman was helpful in leading us to a set we had found online. She answered our questions and was very friendly. As our visit went on, however, it became very apparent that the only reason she was being so nice was because she needed to make a sale in order to get commission. This is a given in a sales job, but it is really off-putting when you're about to drop a few hundred dollars on them and they keep pressing for more. It started with the protection plan. First of all, it doesn't cover damage from claws (we have a dog), so we opted out of the service because that is really the only part of the protection we would need. The woman would not take "no" for an answer. She even brought another sales person into the equation. It was quite annoying, frankly. After that, it was a long series of, "Do you need this or that for the new house," and we were happy just to get out of there. Fast forward a few weeks (right in the delivery window, so that's a plus), the delivery guys were very courteous, but there was something off about how they handled things. They seemed to be in a rush. He took my basement door off its hinges and they tried to move my sofa down, but after about 3 minutes, they gave up and left. They didn't even put my door back on. So I was stuck with 3 couches in my living room and no door to my basement with my 11 month old crawling around. They even walked out without their tools. I really felt like they just wanted to get out of there. My husband and father ended up moving the sofa down and it took them not even a half an hour. For not having a choice in paying a delivery fee, this is maddening. I do not appreciate that I had to pay for a joke delivery when I could have picked it up and had it moved in for free. I'm giving 3 stars because I like my sofa and recliner. However we probably won't be making future purchases with Ashley. Furniture Row gave us a much better experience with our living room furniture.

We checked out Ashley furniture in Bloomington right after Christmas last year. We honestly weren't going to purchase that same day, we were just looking. We spoke with Megan and she was so helpful and kind that we decided to buy that same day. Would highly recommend the store and would definitely ask for Megan to help you. We love our new sectional and receive compliments very often.
I love the Bloomington Ashley! I got my furniture a few months ago. Every time I go in all their salesmen are very helpful and professional. They always help me find exactly what I'm looking for and the store looks great! I've been everywhere in town and in the suburbs, and Ashley has the best styles hands down! I really appreciate how much the Sales Manager Cody was willing to work with me. The prices are fantastic, not to mention they will let you finance anything. I highly recommend checking them out because my apartment is top to bottom Ashley. I am in LOVE with the tempurpedic they sold me! You don't know what sleep is until you get one. Definitely a customer for life.

After many trips to the store in Bloomington and working with Teighlor Estes, I purchased furniture for my Living room and familyrooms. Teighlor was very friendly, easy to work with and knowledgeable. She even came in to meet with me on her days off. Made my decision making pleasurable. I had the most amazing experience at Ashley's! We had THE MOST AMAZING specialist that really made everything come together and happen for us. We worked with Shaun mounce and if I could give HIM five stars I would. He listened to us, worked with us. Took his time and made sure everything fit in our budget. He even became best friends with my son during our visits. I will never shop anywhere else as long as I buy furniture, and I will never look for another salesman. Service makes the sale, and this man made it happen. By far the best person to work with in the store and I will reccomend him until I die or he no longer works there. Ashely is amazing. Furniture is amazing. Staff is amazing. Don't go anywhere else. Ever.

Explore other options!! They sold me a Defective couch. I reported it,and they sent a technician out. He didn't have equipment to fix it so they scheduled another guy to come out! He came out and ruined the leather by over stuffing it with foam like fillers! I called and complained and they sent out the 3rd tech who immediately saw the issue and agreed that it had to be replaced! They took the couch and redelivered the exact same couch with less fillers and still not acceptable! All I got was an apology and finally they've offered to order me a new couch!!! I'm extremely disappointed,dissatisfied,and angry! I'll never spend another dime with Ashley and her lousy furniture!!!
Very good customer service from beginning and throughout purchasing process. Even came and picked me up to finish paperwork and brought me back home.
After much searching, we found what we thought was the right furniture and the right price at Ashley. The sales rep listened to what we were interested and directed us to some good options. There was no pressure to buy. However, when the furniture began to fall apart, they were nowhere to be found. Even though we bought the extended warranty - not covered. Poor quality isn't covered, just accident. I should have let my dog attack the crappy stuff.

Bought a couch from a going out of business sale. it was brand new, not a floor model. Springs broke within a month of receiving couch. Was still under warranty as listed on the information attached to the couch. They claim that they void the warranty for going out of business sales. I will be contacting a lawyer!

Everyone is so welcoming and polite. Their products are great too. Very nice pieces for all styles. I recommend Megan. She isn't just a sales person. She really makes sure you get what you're looking for, the quality want, and an affordable price.
We were in desperate need of a new mattress/box springs within three days of the 4th of July weekend because we were re-doing our guest bedroom and were told we were going to have unexpected guests dropping in for the holiday. Cory Cameron went above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed from their in-stock collection without having to wait weeks for delivery. He was very attentive to our immediate needs and the bedroom was ready for our guests!

Ashley Furniture is a great place to go if you're looking to buy brand new furniture and have time to wait. Be prepared to have a salesperson attached to you for the entirety of your visit because they are somewhat aggressive in my experience. They offer financing and often have promotions. They do not allow you to purchase floor models except for some chairs and lamps so if you need something quick, it's not for you.
Nice store. They have a decent selection of furniture. The stores around it have all pretty much disappeared so hopefully it's still around in a few years!

The first product we bought was good, but for that price it should be! But they don't really have any returning customer loyalty. Maybe they knew we weren't gonna spend as much again. (Who needs two furniture sets?) And their Black Friday "door busters" we're a bust. Much rather go to Sherman's in the future. They at least offer the "like it or return it" guarantee. Ashley wants to charge a 15% restocking fee.
Overall experience was positive; however, the delivery men could not get my sofa in my apartment. After they left, I called a friend and we were able to get it in. Love my livingroom set and love the price I paid for everything. Overall very good and very pleased.

We have made two purchase from Ashely, first was our living room furniture. Sales person was great, delivery and setup made it easy. Second was a new bed room set. The sales people took their time to help us with our questions, and the setup and delivery was perfect. I did not have to lift a finger. Items are of great quality. I will shop there again.
When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a very nice young woman, and she did not tire of showing me couches around the store. She gave me a great deal and followed up with a thank you card. The couch is exactly what I was looking for!
Paris was very knowledgeable of the products and was spot on with steering us towards our tastes. We had an idea of the styles and colors and she guided us right to items of our liking.

Furniture arrived one week earlier than scheduled - very happy about that. Great selection and prices were good. The receipt does not reflect both original/sale price and any additional percentages off so be sure to check that your discounts have been applied. The girl behind the counter said my 20% had been applied, but it hadn't. She ended up having to re-enter all of my items with the correct amount and provide me with a refund.
Our experience at Ashley Furniture in Bloomington was outstanding!! We visited first on a Saturday, looking for a recliner for our living room, but we also wanted to look at the dining room sets for the future. We had a GREAT salesman help us around the floor, explaining the various products. He was not pushy at all, and he really just wanted to hear our opinions on our likes and dislikes so he could show us other options like the ones we liked. He also explained about the 25% everything discount going on that weekend - how exciting!! We told him we needed to go home and measure some areas of our new house, and he did not bat an eye at us walking away with nothing. Once again, no pushiness at all! We went back the next day and ordered our new recliner AND dining room set - at those discounts, how could we pass it up?! The sales team even helped us carry various dining room chairs around the store, so we could see them paired with the dining table we liked. Amazing customer service! We cannot wait to use our new furniture for years to come!
The sales associates were incredibly friendly and helpful, without being at all overbearing. We spent several hours in the store in order to find exactly what we were looking for. Mark even helped us move different pieces of furniture around the store so that we could see how they'd look with our new living room set. We'll definitely be shopping at Ashley again in the future!

I went to the Ashley Funitue store in Bloomington, IL and it was a nice expierence. We look around without any pressure. After about a 5-7 minutes period a sales associate came up and checked on us and was very helpful. I found a bed that we are interested in getting for our daughter. It's exactly what we've been looking for! Can't wait to take her in to see it.
