I will never do business with them again we order some furniture from them and it took 6 months to get them they keep saying next week when we would call to see if it was going and then we the did deliver it was only th love seat then the two recliners came a week latter now I been paying a 1000 a month on them to fine out that I still have to pay another 5000 on the furniture because they lied to us worst customer service ever and I wouldn't recommend anyone to ever go to them for anything

Our mission for the day was to purchase a mattress.We were greeted at the Carbondale Ashley store by Keegan. The answers to our questions made it clear that Keegan was well researched on the construction, service and warranties on mattresses. We did check other stores and because of our confidence with Keegan, we returned to the Ashley Store & purchased a Tempurpedic. We were pleasantly surprised with the discounts offered upon time of payment!

We had a superb experience from Ashley Furniture and the Ashley Outlet staff in Carbondale Illinois. Steve the manager on duty took very good care of us and represented the Ashley organization. He was kind, informative and his customer service and support were spot on. We traveled from California to set our daughter up for school. We bought an apartment full of furniture from Ashley, bedroom set and living room set including a TV stand, lamps and carpets. My daughter has a place she can call a home and feel comfortable coming to a place that reminds her of being with family. Thank you!

We ordered a new couch on November 29th and when they failed to answer any of the multiple phone calls I made weeks later I was told that it would be delivered no later than the 26th of January and I was informed today after multiple attempts at reaching out that it is now supposed to be delivered on the 6th of February this couch was paid in full don't plan on getting anything from this store in a timely manner or to rely on the dates the staff tells you as nothing they say seems to be true or reliable very disappointed

Our experience at Ashley was easy and hassle-free!

Went to the store to buy a new couch. Picked out a floor model to take home the same day. Loaded up the couch and had to go to warehouse to get matching recliner. Rang the bell and we waited. And we waited. And we waited. Finally the wife called back to the store and got hold of someone. Someone finally came out and we waited some more. Ugh!

I ordered furniture in October Yes October supposed to be delivered December 13th and here it is almost the new year and I still haven't received it and been fighting for furniture since December 13th I will never ever ever ever ever suggest anybody to go to this place and buy furniture This is the fourth time that I bought furniture from them The first time they broke the back of my couch bringing it in my house The second time it was in tables and all three of them was broke they didn't they don't stay together and now I ordered this couch and loveseat and it's taken 4 months for me to get I haven't even received a yet so they ruined my Christmas cuz I had to cancel Christmas at my house because I have no furniture they even had me find a ride to go all the way to Carbondale from Mount Vernon they told me I could pick some furniture out on the floor I picked some furniture out and then they told me I couldn't get that either I am done with Ashley's furniture they are not a good furniture store every employee that works there lies they're all liars Tell you what you want to hear but lied

There was a very minor hiccup with getting it delivered but Steve the manager was on it immediately and fixed the issue before it even became an issue. Edith: this stores delivery policy is terrible. It has taken over 6 weeks to get the furniture and it has still not arrived. They have been doing nothing but giving the runaround. The sales people are great, as I said previously but the store dies not lhce up to their promises.once they get your money, they care less if you get your furniture timely. Never again. The Ashley store in Carbondale is absolutely amazing. Rohan was our salesperson and he was awesome. He took all the time we needed without rushing us or being pushy. The entire staff was more than helpful and courteous, from the door greeter to the staff at the final sales counter. My sister was shopping and she is older. The entire staff was so patient with her and took all her needs into consideration, from something as simple as a bottle of water to turning a recliner upside down so she could see the construction of it. They even brought her a chair while doing the final paperwork. They listened to her tell the same story over and over with patience and they even helped in every way to make this purchase as smooth as possible for her. I recently went to Carbondale Ashley Outlet. In search of couch and loveseat recliners. I found a set that was floor model and they were selling it off the floor. After sales person looked into the loveseat it was sold the day before. The sales person informed me whoever did this shouldn’t have done it. Therefore I would have to buy a couch one color and recliner loveseat in different color. This sales person was not at fault at all. I am not upset with her. I am however upset that her manager just sat there didn’t offer to try and fix the issue by checking other stores or anything at all. I contacted corporate and still waiting on a call from the store. I called store myself and got the excuse we don’t have a manager available! But if you leave your name and number we will call you back. Needless to say they do not want my business apparently and management needs to actually do their job. Very disappointing. I will spend my money else where.

They don't return phone calls, and it is so frustrating to try to do business with them. No one calls you back. No one. Not the store manager Steve, not staff. Will never purchase from this store again. I'm just trying to get our furniture fixed after less than 9 months. The stuff is falling apart! Very poor quality. We purchased the extended warranty, but it's worthless. Unfortunately you have to leave 1 star. They don't deserve it.

Tony's store is well organized, with many options. Sage was our sales associate and very knowledgeable. And, he new my name when we returned 2 days later.

Horrible customer service.No one ever knows whats going on. We had to order a new piece that we had insurance on that still hasn't arrived...and this was back at the end of November. We've called a few time after each month passes that we don't hear from them. Last time they said the piece had been ordered and was just taking a little longer than expected. Well, that was over a month ago, called back today to talk to Montage who approved the claim, to find out the piece was never even ordered by Ashley. Now all the sudden they can come out tomorrow to get the piece and try and fix it at the warehouse. Such a joke and incredibly frustrating.

I received many advertisements for radios . When I went in they had none. I used the correct zip when I went into ad. I remember days when bait and switch was illegal

Loved our experience with Ashley Furniture. There was no pressure ever. We weren’t sure what direction we wanted to go with new furniture for our living room and came back several times over about a year changing our minds from one thing to another. We finally decided to start with the Battleville Dual Power Leather Reclining Sofa and are going to add pieces around that. Cheyenne was very helpful throughout our process. The Carbondale store didn’t have one in stock and we thought it might take months to get one but it only took about 3-4 weeks! I was impressed. It got here so fast that we were having new flooring out in downstairs and their scheduler was very nice in working around our remodel. We called when we were ready and they had it to us in 48 hours! Talk about fast. Rohan scheduled us between 10 and 2 for the delivery and for most companies that means 3 or 4 but they called around 11 AM. Once again being on the ball. Their deliver people were so nice and professional and were very careful with our home and property as well as the new sofa.i didn’t get the delivery guys’ names but they were top notch, too. I couldn’t ask for any more than I received from the Ashley team in Carbondale!

Two stars because both times my husband and I went in the store the staff were great. No extra stars because it's been 6 weeks and the sectional we ordered has still not been delivered. Every time we call we are given new delivery dates. We were told that the manufacturer or warehouse wouldn't deliver it to Ashley until they had a full truckload so who knows when we will actually receive our sectional.

This is the 2nd time I've bought a living room set from Ashley. Each time I had shopped around and hit some of the other stores in my area and came away unimpressed in both selection and price. I had originally only planned to replace my son's loveseat from his room, but as soon as I walked into the store a couch and loveseat set caught my eye. It was the right color and comfort for what I was looking for. The sales manager Kolaiah was great to deal with and very helpful. I would definitely go back to my local store in the future.

Sales staff were friendly and helpful, but I purchased my items over a week ago and it was finally suppose to be delivered today between 8 and noon. 330 and haven't seen them and when I call all I get is voice mail.

I WISH I could give this place ZERO stars!! Never again will I buy ANYTHING from this store. The customer service was great whenever we went in looking for our sectional! We found one we really liked & decided it’d be a great addition to our home! The salesman was more than helpful, I think his name was Jeff. We were told that two pieces of our sectional were in stock at the warehouse, and the chaise had to be ordered in. We asked how long it would take for the chaise to arrive and we were told “no more than two weeks, since this is a pretty popular sectional”. Here we are two weeks later AND NO SECTIONAL. I had called and got an update a week after placing the order just to check in, the girl I spoke to on the phone was more than helpful. She had told me that it had been picked up and was making its way to the store and it should be there by September 13, 2022. All day goes by on the 13th and I had not yet received a call, so I call to get an update. First off, the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude & unhelpful… She had looked up my order & told me that IT HADN’T EVEN BEEN PICKED UP, “the broker had it”. And she said it would be about another week & then delivery would be scheduled for a week after that… We were promised two weeks by the salesman & were told we’d have a partial refund if that two week promise was not fulfilled. Which it hasn’t been, by the way this conversation went over the phone, it is now sounding like it’ll be another two weeks until we receive our furniture which puts us at a total of FOUR WEEKS!!!! My husband & I sold our couch and loveseat because we intended on having our new one within two weeks AS PROMISED, but nope. I asked for my delivery fee to be refunded since the two week promise was not fulfilled… This lady told me that the only way my delivery fee would be refunded was if I went & picked up the couch myself, which I could not do because it’s not in stock… I was told that I could not pick up the pieces in stock because I don’t have a scheduled delivery day, so I asked to schedule a day and was told the scheduling lady was not there. This has been an absolutely TERRIBLE experience for my husband and I as first time buyers from Ashley… Never again will I buy anything from this place who lies & makes promises they can’t keep.

One of the worst work experience I've had the owner has now blocked me and I am waiting going on 4 weeks for my first check I tried to call corporate but I keep getting put on hold these guys are scam artist they act like everything in there is on sale when thats really just their stock price then also act like your getting some type of special discount when that's there same price that never changes no matter who you are or what time of year so I personally would go elsewhere

Salesman showed us several different couches of the style we were looking for. He was knowledgeable about their stock and listened when we had issues with first few he showed. He avoided others that were similar. We didn't buy first day and Travis let us know a sale was coming up and called me on sale day with a 25%discount offer. He offered 10% first day we were looking. I was in amd out in 30 minutes when I returned the second day (a week later).

He had good suggestions and knew the details on the furniture. We bought one and set up delivery. The delivery was on time and done with friendly, professional attention to detail. They delivered in a downpour with care to the furniture and our home. Overall our buying experience was great and we appreciate all who were involved. Ordered $5000 worth of furniture and was told it would be at our home in 6 weeks. We are now 4 months into this and it continues to be delayed. They want to say “we can’t control it”. Well I’m that case you shouldn’t give 6 weeks as a time frame if you have no control and no idea how long it takes. Just trying to make sales. I will never buy from here again. And now neither will my family. And the lady I talked to about it was very rude. Should not be helping people.

She really listened to what we were wanting and even asking specific questions to make sure she showed up everything they had that met our criteria. Needless to say, we left there had purchased a very nice real leather loveseat at a great price. We will be back again to see Meghan with our future needs!

This five stars is for Nikka (I hope that's how your name is spelled, I never saw it in person). She called and was so proactive about helping me with a refund on canceled items I had been struggling to get for almost half a year. She had great follow-through and was extremely helpful. Within a week of her taking it one, she got it done!

Paid cash for our mattress on 4-11-21 and was told it would be added on to their next delivery which was about 3 weeks out. We called back after 5 weeks and was told the only purchase was from 2019...they never placed our order. We finally received our mattress today after my wife called repeatedly to check on it. We were told to pick it up by 4pm. When we arrived the front desk said it was still on the delivery truck and we would need to come back later. After expressing our frustration a call was made and we were instructed to drive around to the loading dock to finally get our mattress. We will never shop here again. If you value your time and money then you won't either.

Delivery drivers can’t drive

Bought a table and 4 chairs. A table and 2 chairs were delivered. Now I've spent the last 3 months calling asking about my last 2 chairs. Always promised a call back, but never get a call back. Asked for a manager today, not available but will call me back. Unfortunately, still no call back. This store cannot be depended on to get you what you order or follow up on issues, I won't be shopping here again.

Just wanted to grt the warning out to not trust giving any money to Ashley furniture. We paid well into 4 figures for a couch in July 2020 which we were told would be in here 8 weeks. 9 months later we have never received a single update. Everytime we call its this excuse or that excuse. After 9 months we give up and say we just want our money back. We were told over the phone we could get our refund in person at the store but when we got there, we were told it would have to be sent by their accounting dept. Since then appearantly nobody can get through to the alleged accounting dept to get an answer as to where our money is. Please spread the word do NOT spend your money here. Nothing but repeatedly broken promises and a long list of excuses putting the blame on everybody else. I have seen children's sports teams act more professional than this management of this location.

Went in to get some in stock merchandise, the salesman Dustin lied to us to make a sale. Told us at first it was in stock, then it wasn't, then told us it would only be a few weeks and it was on the truck. It wasn't, had to be built at the manufacturer. So after finding out some truths, basically trying to sell us not in stock merchandise and making us wait almost 5 months. We immediately got a refund. If you get furniture, ask for Mike the store manager. He's very helpful and understanding. The experience was nice but the salesman should not be lying to people. Very unprofessional.

Buyer Beware – Ashley’s Furniture of Carbondale, Illinois After spending thousands of dollars saved from wedding gifts and years of hard work at Ashley’s Furniture of Carbondale over 6 months ago to furnish our new home, we are still sleeping on blow-up mattresses and in agony as a result. When we placed the order, the gentleman entering it in the computer said it was telling him that the bed should be in stock by the second week in January. However, during the next follow-up call, the employee I spoke to said that the computer does not tell the employees when the items will be in stock, which means the gentleman placing the order into the computer or the employee I followed-up with was lying. You would think six months is plenty of time to deliver a bed, mattress, two couches, and a dresser but obviously for Ashley’s Furniture, it is not nearly enough time since they have not delivered the bed, mattress, or second sofa. Ironically, while I am writing this review, Ashley’s competitor Anderson’s Furniture is running a commercial advertising same day delivery on mattresses. I wish I would have seen that over 6 months ago. All Ashley’s Furniture have delivered in the more than 6 months since our order and payment is one sofa and a dresser. When we purchased the items, which were the most expensive pieces of furniture we have ever bought since we are furnishing our new home, we were told that Ashley’s Furniture would deliver pieces as they came in so we would not have to wait for everything to come in to get the early arrivals. That was not true. At Thanksgiving time, my wife and mom went into Ashley’s Furniture again to look for a chair for my wife’s room. They saw signs saying some of the items we ordered were in stock. No ever called us to tell us or to set up delivery as we were promised. Instead, I called a few weeks later after giving Ashley’s Furniture the opportunity to fulfil the promises the salesperson gave us when we bought the items regarding delivering the items as they came in. It turns out, the dresser and two sofas, only part of our order, had been in their store for a month without anyone letting us know. If my wife had not gone back to look for a chair and I followed up to force them to deliver the items they had for over a month, would we even have those items? I think not based on the rest of our experience with Ashley’s of Carbondale. So, on to our most recent call, which I believe is my 8th follow-up call to check on the status of the remaining furniture that has not been delivered in over 6 months, I was told that the computer showed that our mattress was in their warehouse 5 months ago in November. Since then, I have made 7 follow-up calls, and this is the first time they have said it was in. However, they seem to have lost it or sold it to someone else even though we have been waiting over 6 months for delivery because the lady I spoke to, an Assistant Manager who had been out for a while, said that she is concerned because it should have been delivered to their warehouse. The final kicker was that she told me if I canceled the order, they would charge me 30% for a restocking fee for items that they do not even have in stock after over 6 months of us waiting for our multi-thousand-dollar furniture order. Why should I Have to pay 30%, equaling thousands of dollars, to restock something they have not unstocked from anywhere. If they had it in stock, would we have waited over 6 months for our furniture? If I were the Owner of Ashley’s of Carbondale, I would have called the upset client after six months of not delivering on a thousand-dollar order when my employee told the client I would be calling – I am still waiting for that call. Do not make the mistake I did by buying from Ashley’s Furniture of Carbondale. I recommend you go to their competitor, Anderson Furniture, since they have a same day delivery guarantee for mattresses and seem to care about what they do, unlike the folks at Ashley’s Furniture of Carbondale, Illinois.

First time ever buying a new bed. Was super excited about the price of the king size mattress I got. Every thing was great till I waited a week with no info about my bed(was told a week till the store for the bed in) called and found out it was in but no info on delivery. Told the Lady ok but I leave this week and was told I would have my bed in a week. Get a call on Tuesday saying they can't deliver till Thursday..... I leave on Wednesday to visit my sister lol so I was like ok it will have to be delivered when I get back. Set it for the 30th of March 2021 for 7am-11am delivery. Got up early waited till 11am with NO DELIVERY YET. Called 10+ time with no one able to give me an answer on where my bed was(gave my old bed away that morning) so I have no bed at all no info no phone call from anyone. I keep calling and calling and finally get some info. Someone did not put my delivery in I guess and so they had to fix it. Finally got my bed around 2pm. Paid to much money to stress this much and not get help or a call from anyone.

Horrible customer service and the place seems to be full of liars. My husband and I went to Ashley furniture mid november 2020 to look for a kitchen table. We worked with a sales girl named amanda, we finally found a table we want and was told it would be delivered in 3 weeks (the first week of december) we agreed on a price my husband and I paid and were told again by a manager this time our table would be in first week of december. December 15th I finally called wondering where our table was because we never got a call saying it was in and set up delivery which we paid an extra $100 for and we chose the table we did so we would have it in time for Christmas when I was really wanting it for Thanksgiving. When I called I was told our kitchen table would not be in till mid January and that the sales girl we worked with had since been let go and there was nothing they were willing to do for our inconvinience. So mid January comes around and I call again hoping it would be in for my sons birthday, this time I was told the table wouldn't be in till early to mid February so again i asked what they were going to do for the inconvenience because at this point i had been lied to twice and the lady was extremely rude telling me what they were going to do was call first week to mid of February to let me know it was in and to set up delivery and i couldnt speak with a manager because "thats not how they did things around there", they took messages and managers got back to customers when they could. So now its last week of February and I call asking about it because again no call, I was told our table was in the truck they were unloading and a manager would call me Wednesday March 3rd to set up delivery. March 9th I call wondering when I can have my table delivered, now i am being told my table got rerouted and the broker has it so the girl who told me it was on the truck last week lied just like the original sales girl did and it "might" be in this week or next, then in the middle of my next question I got hung up on. Absolutely horible service and experience I will never buy anything from them again and would never recommend Ashley furniture of carbondale IL to anyone. I would go somewhere else and pay $1,000 more for something if i had to before going back to Ashley furniture. Horrible/rude customer service and they do nothing but lie, the place is crawling with liars. Never going back again

Sorry cannot recommend friendly people but when I got dining room table it was missing hardware..it is supposed to have three types of bolts and one type of screw and only has one size bolt ... Had to go out and buy my own proper fitting bolts in order to put chairs together.. not good... Oh and forget trying to talk to them on the phone their connection is horrible

Avoid buying anything from here at all costs: My wife purchased $4,200 worth of furniture from Ashley furniture in Carbondale on July 3rd 2019. Less than 6 months later, a seam started coming apart on the sectional couch that we bought. We contacted Ashley and they sent someone out to look. They said that it was a manufacturer defect and that they were going to order parts and schedule repair. Then the pandemic hit. We waited several months and Ashley never called back. So we called again. They said they had no record of what had happened before and once again scheduled a time for someone to come out and look. They came out and again came to the same conclusion... that it was a manufacturer defect and they were going to order parts and schedule repair. Once again we wait a couple of months with no call back. So we once again call and they say that they have had a lot of employee turnover and have no record of what was reported. So this time I talk to a manager. He comes out to our house personally and says that it is a manufacturer defect and he was going to try to get that section of the couck replaced or at he will at minimum get it repaired. 2 more months go by with no response. So now I'm calling trying to get a manager and all they tell me is that the manager is out. They take my name and number and the manager doesnt call me back. I've called 6 times in the last 2 weeks with no reply from the manager, or any employee. At this point I feel like they are just blowing me off at this point. AVOID THIS ASHLEY FURNITURE AT ALL COSTS. They don't care about their customers and they have no service after the sale.

Never again will we give them our business. Ordered furniture the middle of August, and still haven’t received all of it. We received some of it a few weeks ago. I’ve called upwards of 10 times, and each time I call, I’m told a different shipping and delivery date. Now they’re telling me it should be here between Jan 4th-11th.....It was supposed to be here the beginning of Nov. .We’re highly disappointed with this company.

Ordered bedroom furniture and paid in full June 25th 2020. It has been 13 weeks now and still don’t have all the pieces to our bed Because the salesperson failed to include the posts and drawers portion in the order. I call them every day and I am told it will be on the next truck and yet it never comes. The manager doesn’t appear to have a clue of what he is doing. Always promises to call me the day “the truck” is supposed to be in but hasn’t once called me back and I’m pretty sure he never intends too. I will never purchase anything from them again.

My boyfriend and I went in today to buy a living room set on Ashley's Labor Day sale and Steve helped us out so much! Whenever you go in, you better be sure to ask for him to get, by far, the best service and best price possible. Also, Nancy was such a sweetheart too. You guys were awesome, thank you so much for all the help! We shopped around at other places and Ashley's had the best prices and quality.

Horrible experience! Manager, Garrett promises a correct bill adjustment after a 6-8 week lead time turns into 16-20 weeks. We canceled 1 item of the order and never received a corrected bill but was charged the full amount. Never returns calls and makes promises they don’t keep. Refuses to give his managers info. Save your money and go elsewhere. This place is a nightmare.

I’ve been calling about the mail in rebate that supposedly comes with the bed I recently purchased for a month now. Sales manager had no idea how to get the rebate and promised to call back when he found out. He never called back. I’ve called three additional times and been promised that a manager would get in touch and still have not heard anything. Terrible service.

After we made an appointment and drove over to their location we picked out the furniture we wanted and we were told that they had the furniture in stock and I could pick it up this week. After they drafted my account for the taxes on it I was told they did not have it in stock it would be at least 4 weeks to order it! I told them cancel my order as i will not waste my time and money with unorganized people where the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I had to ask about the 164 dollars that they took for taxes from my bank account and was given a refund receipt but the money is not back in my account! Time wasted on my only day off with just a sorry and they walked off and didn’t acknowledge we even left! The place is a total joke!

I purchased a living room set from Ashley Homestore on October 10th, 2019. I bought a couch, loveseat, end table, tv stand, and a fireplace insert. I was told everything would be delivered in 6 weeks. After 6 weeks I called to see if my furniture was available and was told it would be 2 more weeks. This was around November 21st, 2019. I called back after the 2 weeks and was told it would be two more weeks. I started calling a few times a week and was told the furniture was still not available. I called December 18th, 2019 and told them I want a full refund on all the furniture. My couch and loveseat were delivered the next day. I can’t prove it but it was probably the floor model. Because it just happened to be in the warehouse. So I now have my couch and loveseat, I’m still missing my end table, tv stand, and fireplace insert. This is on a December 19th, 2019. I was told two more weeks on everything else. I’ve called almost every 3-4 days asking about the furniture and kept being told two weeks. I asked to speak to a manager and they returned my call and was going to give me free delivery, I already have free delivery because I bought it during a special. He said he would do store credit and I told him I would never buy anything from them again, I don’t want store credit. I asked for money off of my furniture since I’ve waited so long. He said he would call me back with an answer and never returned my phone calls. I called, left messages, and never had a manager return phone calls. Finally, I spoke to the owner of the store and he was very rude, but said he would rectify the problem. He tried to give me a floor model. I said no, I’ve waited too long for my furniture, I want a new one. My furniture was finally delivered today February 22nd, 2020. I will never shop Ashley Homestore again and I do not recommend this business to anyone! It took over 4 months to get my furniture!

The people at Ashley Home Store in Carbondale were all very helpful. We dealt with Amanda in sales. She was very polite and gave us all the information we needed. Took all the time we needed to complete the sale. The girl at the counter where the paperwork was completed was also very helpful and polite. Even the floor manager ask us if we were being taken care ok. I would recommend this store to anybody. This is a 5 star store.

Our salesperson, Amanda, answered all of our questions and provided all the measurements we needed. She wasn't pushy or aggressive and was very courteous throughout our shopping and eventual purchasing experience. Would definitely do business here with her again.

First time purchasing furniture here. Salesman was very nice. The problem was once it was time to ring up. I had provided them with 2 forms of ID for the financing. My drivers license and a credit card. Credit was approved and was waiting for my final papers and ID to be returned. I get to the register and my credit forms are laying there. Cashier picks up my credit card and turns around to charge it. I realized what was happening and told him no. He said I thought this is what you wanted. No sir, I wanted the financing. The credit card was a form of ID. He couldn't figure out how to return to my card, had to get help. Next person unsure how to refund to card, they fetch another person. I am HOPING he did it right. Apparently I will need to wait 7 to 10 days for that to be removed from my credit card. There was more talking and laughing happening at that desk than working. I needed that furniture but it will the the ONLY purchase I ever make there. Proceed with caution. Definitely don't give them your debit card!

Nice store with nice items. Amanda, the sales person was very patience in working with us as we had a lot of questions. We came as close as we could to what we needed, but we had to be a little flexible. And we really didn't know exactly what we wanted when we came in. Now I just have to wait for it to be shipped in 4 weeks.
