We went into Ashley after finding an option for a lift chair. Karen greeted us quickly and helped us find the chair that would work. We had lots of questions and she pulled all of the information we needed to make a purchase. It was a great sales experience. Unfortunately, the chair we picked must have had a defect and was quickly broken beyond use. I reached out to the customer service number that evening and immediately heard from Brock, the service manager. The service response was incredible. He arranged to have the broken furniture picked up and since I was out of town, took the time to view the showroom in Decatur to provide me with pictures and options for other options that he could deliver today. Jennifer took care of the refund and all other logistics. They were communicative, met all of their promises (and more), and did more than expected to make sure I was taken care of. While the item we picked did not work, I would purchase here again and highly recommend for the people and the passion for service. Thanks so much!

We were greeted by a very friendly salesperson, told them what we were looking for - a leather reclining couch - and they walked us around the showroom until we found the perfect one at a great price. We were given a delivery window of two weeks (which was over the week of Christmas and the week of New Year’s), while other stores were eight to ten weeks. Our couch was delivered in 12 days! They even accommodated my work schedule by delivering late in the afternoon. The delivery people called ahead to let me know they were running 45 minutes ahead of schedule and were very professional and courteous. Overall, our experience with Ashley was wonderful! Will definitely shop there again.

I had recently been through an ordeal where I needed to get new furniture and I just happened to be heading home when my girlfriend said well let's stop in here and see what they got. Get in there look around a little bit and see this couch that I would just love to have. The sales gal that came over Kyra Evans was able to assist in showing me other couches like this one but at different prices. She also was able to show us some queen size mattresses as I needed one of those as well. I was able to get the mattress that I wanted and still was wanting the first couch that I sat on. Kyra was able to make a sale from the fact that I had known her from a previous standpoint of salesmanship. She was able to get the two pieces that I truly wanted for a good price that I was very much happy to pay. That was on Saturday. On Monday I was called by Ashley Furniture to set up the delivery time. I will be able to get my new pieces of furniture this Wednesday and I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again Kyra for your help I will definitely miss you as a salesperson. Great job good work.

We entered the Forsyth Ashley store and was immediately accepted, also Xavier and Dan treated us most excellent. We let them know just what we needed and boom 💥 just like that made a deal and done. They will work with you. Now our order is to be in, about a week. Two at most so is the reason I gave them a 4-star instead of 5.

I had a great experience with Ashley furniture. I had paid for couch protection and they really came through when our couch was torn. We followed the process of getting our couched replaced but it was discontinued so they refunded us with in store credit for the price of the couch!! Great job Ashley furniture. Right when I walked in the Ashley‘s furniture store, Xavier greeted me immediately to see if he could help me with anything. I told him I was here looking to buy a dresser. He showed me some dressers and I looked around by myself and caught back up with him to buy the one dresser I wanted. He was pleasant very very helpful and nice to do business with.

The middle support on my couch broke after having it for only three months. They will only fix it if we bring it to them and we moved out of town. It’s a chain furniture store so that’s ridiculous.

We purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture in June 2022. Within 2 months one of the seems, on a cushion, began to come apart. It took 2 months to get a replacement cushion. Before picking up the new cushion we noticed another cushion was also coming apart. They stated they would not be able to provide us with a replacement, and instead, they would need pictures and would review the case for next steps. My wife called and got nowhere with Ashley. Finally, after we left a bad review we were called back. The person we spoke to said if he could offer a generous credit but he would have to talk to his supervisor. When we were called back we were offered a $600 store credit but only if we changed our rating to 5 stars and that we were completely satisfied. We felt bullied and insulted, so we said no. Now we are stuck with a couch that is falling apart. Good job Ashley. You have been warned, don’t shop there!
The quality and workmanship for the furniture is outstanding, the customer service inside the store is exemplary. The furniture I ordered I would recommend this store to anyone however for mattresses I would tell someone to go somewhere else due to the fact that I've ordered a mattress received one stringy they replaced it with one that was even worse than the first one dirty look like someone that used it and although they said they would replace it they never did although I went into the store three different times no one knew what I was talking about and then they told me I had to go to another store to get it resolved. My motion base is stopped working on my bed and my mattresses never been replaced with those I'm very disappointed we will not recommend the store for anyone looking for bedroom furniture.

We purchased a sectional in July 2022. In October we noticed the seams on 2 different cushions pulled apart. We have no children and there has. It been a lot if wear and tear. We had purchased the additional warranty offered. We asked for it to be replaced or to get a credit on a different couch, even deduct some for the use. We were told that furniture that had been in a house for 6 months can’t be replaced. They could only replace cushion covers. I am certain this piece is defective and the other cushions will do the same in time.
Great experience purchasing, not wondering when I get my billing info which I've been told nothing about. Wasn't even told when my first bill was gonna be, or how much it is even. Kinda ridiculous, I've never been so in the dark when buying something.

While I get that the current situation is causing delays for delivery and getting ordered items in we the consumers just want honesty. I purchased a bed two nite stands and a bench back in November. One of the nite stands had to be ordered and they stated 10 to 12 weeks. It did not arrive until 6 months elapsed. Seems petty to complain but during this time I made another purchase at a different furniture store and received all items in three weeks. I will continue to do business with this store as I have for several years. I will just make sure it is in stock before purchasing.

After searching unsuccessfully for a new couch and loveseat in Spfld., we ventured to the Decatur Ashley Homestore after hearing rave reviews from friends. And there, I'm happy to say, we found the perfect set! It's really hard to find comfortable furniture that is also the right style and color, but thankfully this place is huge, gorgeous, and set up so it's easy to look around. The salespeople were very helpful (w/o being annoying), and delivery was quicker than we thought it would be. The delivery guys were polite and set up quickly, and they nicely explained how to take our old couch apart into smaller pieces, saving us from having to rent a truck to move it. I waited until we had our furniture for a while before writing a review, and I can honestly say we are still very happy with our purchase! We love the look and quality of our couch and loveseat, along with how really comfortable they are. My husband is still impressed with the sale prices and financing options, which is a good thing because I plan on going back soon for a new mattress and bedroom furniture! So five stars it is! It was very apparent to us how important quality and customer service are to the owners of this Decatur Ashley, and we highly recommend shopping at this lovely HOME store - we are so glad that we did!

I have tried to no Avail to find out who the owner of this company is or this company is. The manager that told me that he was gonna call me back 4 weeks ago this Monday answered the phone today and said they were there was nothing more they could do for my problem with my section all that I paid 2000 plus for.... That's really sad because the right arm still doesn't work properly and when you go to kick the foot Peasant it still does not lock.. I bought a sectional and yes I got it on sale I don't know $2200 maybe if I would have spent the original amount of 4000 plus I'd have been so ticked off.. The right arm chair of the sectional has been replaced I believe Twi believe twice and it still leans to the right it will not stay leaned back.. I have spoke to the manager of the store twice he doesn't he says he doesn't remember Talking to me the 1st time but that's OK. I've talked to the warehouse manager and hes aware of my issue. The delivery guys who Have seen the problem still no fix for the right hand I found a little tear in one of the pieces and they were kind enough to fix that and did a good job good job I've asked for my money back or to fix the Goddard right arm to where it does not lean and will stay back and I don't have to kick the bottom piece is the bottom piece in :( :( :( I would not recommend Ashley furniture in Decatur Illinois to anyone at this point.
They don’t offer refunds if you don’t like a piece of furniture after you get it. Bought a expensive leather couch and after we got it home it hurt my wifes back. we called the store and they said they don’t offer refunds they would just let us exchange it. Well not buy from Ashley again will go to slumberland that offers a five day return policy

I liked furniture and was assisted in purchasing fine EXCEPT was verbally told delivery would be mid nov (I purchased Sept 16). Then was texted two weeks later it was on time and would be here in 3 - 4 months! I questioned it as I didn’t want an empty living room during holidays but was told they wrote 20 - 24 weeks. I gave them 900 dollars down and now I requested to cancel as I went out and found the furniture available now. I was told as per contract they would be charging me 30% to cancel. So they are going to charge me over $500 for NOTHING. It wasn’t a special order or a request for someone to be constructing one. Apparently this is how they are staying in business without having to sell anything. This is not the first encounter with them saying a delivery date then pushing it out. And I’m tired of them using COVID as their excuse. It’s my money and they should return it as they gave me no product for it. Would you pay a restaurant for meals you didn’t receive?

First I talked to Kim who helped me check on the items I wanted to verify how long it would be for delivery and place my order over the phone. Then I was helped by Q, he was able to guide me in the right direction when I order a recliner that I found out would be too big for my space and helped me change products. He also gave me the papers to sign from my phone order when I came in(from 2 hours away) to sign for my purchase and showed me where to go to take my little to the bathroom after a long drive. Finally I spoke with Dan, he was able to cancel an item for me. I was panicking because of the size of my room and I wanted to order what I knew would fit instead of being stuck with too much furniture. He was able to process the return (2days after initial purchase) and issue a credit. Then THANKED me for my business. I hated canceling but know I can order more once the size of the furniture is visible in person. He help me with what would fit and I wasn't guilted into keeping my initial order. All over the phone! I haven't received my items yet, but my first shipment is scheduled to arrive 8 days after I placed my order! Such a good turn around time considering how backed up places have been!

Large inventory, lots of styles, comfortable surroundings
The salesman was pleasant but they are overpriced on their extended warranty, delivery, and removal of existing furniture. I bought a reasonably priced quality (Flexsteel) recliner from Wrights in Taylorville primarily because of a realistic price for the extended warranty, price for delivery (from Taylorville to Decatur $25.00), and they had no problem removing and disposing of two pieces of unwanted furniture at no cost. The sales person, Mrs. Brown, was pleasant, knowledgeable and listened to our requirements.
I did not feel comfortable at all in your store today. I will not be returning and would not recommend your store.

We found the perfect nightstand at Ashley for a spare room. It was $89. We bought two and got home and decided we would go back and get another one. A week later I went in to get another nightstand (they had a few on display in 3 different colors) and 3 had a $109 price tag on them and one identical to the others had a $89 price tag still on it. I told the salesman I had purchase two the week before for $89 and asked why the price changed for 3 of the 4. He said something about distribution cost going up? I said I didn't understand because they were already in stock. He said if I bought two I could get both for $89 each. I didn't need two and that seemed shady. I walked out. I came home and found the exact nightstand on your website for $69 with free shipping. I don't understand the price differences and I don't plan to shop Ashley again.
I enjoy walking into a place where you are recognized and acknowledged by name! I have shopped at Ashley Furniture for years. They have great quality furniture and other home decor. they are very respectful! The manager and team I met tonight 12/29/2020 went above and beyond to satisfy me! I am forever thankful!

Walked in and 3 sales people standing there. Brandon was asked to help us, he said he was suppose to be at the door. Toni said not if you have a person to wait on, he then said he had to go to the rest room, shoved some papers and said he didn't know what he was doing and walked away!!! The other two stood there and did not help AT ALL!!! Have bought bedroom suit, living room furniture and other things here! Will look elsewhere next time!!! Worst service ever!!! **I have since Spoke with the Dan whom rectified the issues I have experienced. He was very empathetic to my experience. Went out of his way to ensure resolutions that were acceptable and appreciated. He took the time to listen and offer his apologies. I am confident any business I do with this store in the future will be respected, appreciated, and a good experience. The WORST customer service I have ever received! I ordered a couch/chair and a bedroom set. -couch delivered with tear upon delivery -bed frame scratched upon delivery and one nightstand was missing. The solution was for me to pick up myself even though I paid for delivery. Both were noted to delivery personnel, pictures taken and sent to store, and manager notified with delivery personnel still in my home. Drivers then dispatched to sew tear and color in the scratches with furniture crayons—this was brand new out of box. Couch armrest then began peeling up which was less than 5 months after it was purchased 4 months after being delivered. It was then taken and fixed. The day it was supposed to be delivered post fixing it was forgotten about. Yet I was supposed to be grateful they got it scheduled on a holiday (Nevermind I didn’t have a couch in my home). It was 2 months before I then reached out to the manager and owner with a detailed list of the issues before I heard back to get the arm rest fixed. 11 appointments for delivery on my time. Three defects upon delivery on brand new furniture. No return communication from owner. No communication from the manager. Just a service rep who was “thrown in the middle” and didn’t understand why I was “angry” and the reminder they are a franchise and no one is above the owner. A complete disregard for my time, my money, and my business.
The workers here are extremely disrespectful of the health of their shoppers. We had workers approaching and closley following us without masks. Shouldn't have to worry about my safety while shopping.

My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 September 2019 and then on June 15th our house burned down and we lost everything except the clothes on our back. The community came together to help us and its people like John and Brad with companies like Ashley Furniture that helped us Getty back on our feet! The provided and installed three queen beds with frames! What a great community helper! We will be eternally grateful for them! There delivery was right in time! Very poor service. No assistacs, after being in store for 15 min I finally asked what red line over price meant. After another 15 min browsing she asked if I needed any help. I asked a question about a sofa color. She answered and disappeared. I left after that. You need someone to welcome customers at the door. Needs improvement on customer service. I will not return to this store.
Dan Crowell was my sales rep that gave me all the prices, etc. When I went back later to order furniture, I was helped by Ashlyn Lowery. My pieces were delivered yesterday and I love them. One end table was damaged and they told me that they would replace it. The furniture was quite a bit bigger than my previous pieces and so didn't really need that end table, so asked their mgr Dan Laws if I could get a credit for it. He complied and is issuing me a credit. Happy with their products and service. Would shop their again.

I would give them more stars if I could. Top notch store, employees, customer care and merchandise. I purchased 2 pieces they were in when they said they would be, and set me up for delivery promptly. When the gyes assembled them one piece had issues. After they left Ashlyn contacted me and I sent her pictures of it. She said give me a couple days, this was a Thursday. Monday evening called back and she said Dan the regional manager would be contacting me, 20 minutes later Dan called. He told me they would be ordering me a new one to replace the other and would have it delivered. They made me feel they appreciated me and my business. Thank you shoo much Ashlyn, Dan and Ashley home store . Keep up the good work and God bless you all. Will recommend them to anyone, and have a few more purchases I am thinking about and will definitely go back to them.
The only reason we even shop at Ashley HomeStore is because of their sales rep Ashlyn Lowery. I CAN NOT say enough good things about her. We bought our whole house worth of furniture from her. She's great at what she does, she puts her customers first, and she makes the process effortless. We recommend her to everyone we know!

I bought a recliner in 2017. The Ashley Homestore website has an entire page with the warranty information. The short side of the story is that the local store nor the Ashley Corporation will honor their stated warranties. They just give false, contradictory information about the warranty. They also use the technique of passing the consumer to numerous phone numbers until you end up at a number where no person will answer, just indefinite holding.

I purchased bedroom furniture from here. 2 nightstands, one dresser and one five drawer chest. My first delivery one of the delivery drivers was so sick, he was using his hand as a Kleenex and I have video of him blowing his nose clear onto my walkway and driveway... with his hand. Snot literally flying onto the drive way. My dresser was damaged. (and I had to wipe everything down with disinfectant) I got someone to come out and look at the damages and it was unfixable. I was told a new dresser would be ordered and delivered. I called weeks out and was told they ordered the 5 drawer chest. Ok, no big deal, change it and bring me my dresser. At this time (again) I told them about how disgusting the delivery driver was. I requested that he NOT come to my house again. Delivery #2.... Guess who is there? snotty nose McGee and I have video AGAIN of him blowing snot into my driveway. My dresser again is damaged and not only that but they took a chunk out of my wall. So here I am waiting for a manager to call me. He is supposed to get in between 9-9:30am. It's 11:30..... I'm sure I'll never hear from him until I go to the store to speak face to face.

However, after emailing customer support about my experience the manager reached out and gave me a great deal on the mattress I was looking at so I was able to go in and get it a week later. Got lied to about a price on a couch.. I get there and they tell me I have to pay shipping, even though I was picking it up at store. Then the couch I was promised that was in such great shape had a rip in it! They won’t honor prices online bc they’re not a real Ashley store?!? I will never be back.

Lady was snobby and rude
I purchased over $3500 in furniture at the Ashley Store in Decatur, Il in the middle of March. The two couches that I picked out didn’t fit (too small) for the area. I was told there are no refunds, only store credit. At the same time, one of the tables was on back order until early May. No problem- it must be a great table. Credit will be ok, they even promised the same 30 percent discount. I decided to buy outdoor furniture with the credit. They said to come back at the end of April/ beginning of May to see the outdoor furniture. I can back the first week of May and it wasn’t out. The table was also promised to be in in the next week or so. I came back the following week to see the outdoor furniture and it was only one outdoor piece (out of all of the furniture). I decided to look online to see what I would like. 2 weeks later- the table I ordered in mid March, now the end of May, was still not in. I was told that it would be in this week. I explained that I have been told that 3 times and would just like a refund. He explained to me that I would be charged a restocking fee- for a table that I ordered 3 months ago. I told them that I would wait for the table and would like to order outdoor furniture. I spoke with the manager Dan about a set I saw online (I had been back to the store 3 times to see what they had). He very abruptly told me that someone would call me back. They called back and said that set was discontinued, so I picked another set. The set was priced 999.00 online, and the Decatur store was selling it for 1799.00. I explained that I could get a sectional for this price. I called the Ashley Corp. and they explained that the stores can mark there prices as high as they would like. I was very surprised the Decatur store would not match the online price, but marked it up $800 more. The communication experience that I have had with this store has been very unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills. I went into the store 4 times and called numerous times to try to get this situation worked out. I talked with a different person each time and not one of the people seemed to know what shipment would be in stock or when things would be in the floor. As of now, I am out a table that has been promised to be in every week and is not. I have been threatened to pay a restocking fee if I dont want to wait for the table. I have 1600 in credit that I can spend, but the products are marked so high (probably because I have a credit) that it is VERY frustrating. If I were you- look at all of the options in Decatur and surrounding towns. This store has been VERY disappointing to work with.

Poor quality furniture that they rip the warranty’s off of so that you will pay for their own warranty plans. Terrible experience. HIGHLY do not recommend.
Where do I start??? First off the owner John Harrison and his right hand man Chris Penny mark up there prices by 400% and their product comes in damaged and cheaply and crudely repaired. Customers are lied to and over charged. Their product is nothing but particle board. Chris penny was fired by Ashley Corporate which makes sense because he has severe managerial issues. Can't even delegate the duties that need to be done. John sits on his ass all day and listens to and watches all employees thru cameras and microphones. Their warehouse is in complete disarray and is in danger of everything falling over because of the amount of stuff ordered but never delivered. They tell most people it take 4-6 weeks to get stuff and it only takes a week or so. Do not spend you tax money here. Do your self and your wallet a favor shop elsewhere. Big lots has Ashely at half the price guys!! Btw johns a shady conman. Avoid any business he owns at all costs
It really just comes down to customer service. We bought a couch and chair and the day AFTER it was delivered, we called and said we wanted to return it. It was just so much more uncomfortable than we'd thought. I should mention when we went to pick it up, they said we hadn't notified them and it would be days before they could "dig it out of the containers. " So, we sat on the floor for a few days because they were willing to deliver for free, ok fine. Anyway, after saying we couldn't return and would have to exchange, we couldn't find anything that would work as a replacement. The manager said he would talk with the owner to see if they could do a return. A week later, no call so I had to call him. We then had to give them $360 as a restocking fee because that's their "policy. " Each store is different so calling corporate doesn't help because they all have their own set of policies so they say. I was told I would see the refund in 24 hours after the furniture was picked up. 6 days later I had to call to see where my return was since it hadn't been put back on my credit card. I get educated that the OWNER had my return sitting on his desk for approval. Talk about absolute SHIT service. I will never set foot in the Decatur Ashley Furniture Home Store ever again. The owner could certainly learn a thing or two about customer service. What a terrible way to treat people.
Another furniture store had an Ashley recliner for sale in a Black Friday ad but had sold out. I called Ashley Furniture Homestore to ask if they would match the ad of the competitor since they are an Ashley store. I spoke with a male staff member and told him about the recliner in the ad and he said that they would match the price of the competitor's ad. I stopped what I was doing, drove for 20 minutes (out of town) to get there before they closed. When I arrived, he told me that he would not match the price of the competitor as their Ashley recliner was a better quality product than the one that the competitor was selling, even though it was the exact same name of the chair, picture, etc. . He told me that he could not match the prices because he would be losing money and he could not afford to take the loss. . Could you not have told me that over the phone?? I was very upset about my waste of time and the salesman's lack of professionalism and called back to the Ashley store once I returned home. My husband spoke with him and asked for the name of a district manager, Supervisor or someone over him. He told my husband that it was a small owned company and that there was no one he could call about it. My husband mentioned to him that there was an e-mail address on the website he would deal with and the salesman told him that if he sent an e-mail, it would be forwarded to him again. Dealing with Ashley homestore was the most horrible experience I have ever had and I will never buy anything from them again. I worked in retail for many years, that is not the way that you treat your customers.
