Purchased a bedroom set and was not informed of scratches, drawer defects, or missing structural components. After delivery, I discovered the mirror and essential bed support parts were missing, and the metal center support is damaged. This is a structural safety issue, not cosmetic. Because of these defects, the bed cannot be assembled or safely used, leaving me without a functional place to sleep. I have contacted the store, customer service, and management, and am requesting a full refund. Very disappointed with the lack of transparency and customer service.

⭐ 1 Star – Unacceptable Experience I have nothing against the staff, but the overall handling of my purchase was unacceptable. I was not informed before paying that the clearance furniture had scratches or damage. Customers deserve full disclosure about item condition. My delivery was also incomplete. I am missing the mirror and essential bed support parts (center bar, slats, and legs). Because of this, the bed cannot be assembled or used, leaving me without a proper place to sleep. I paid for a complete bed set and did not receive one. This is not a fair deal. I am requesting immediate delivery of the missing parts or a full refund. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this store. Please do not come here.

Purchased a 3 lamp set in Sept. Two lamps arrived broken and we had to return them and order another set. They charged us a second time and when the lamps arrived at the end of November the floor lamp was broken again. They made us bring the lamp back and they finally deducted one of the two charges and said they would get us A new floor lamp shortly. It is now mid February and no lamps!! Never buy from them again! Customer service will not take our calls any longer. Worst service ever!!!

This location was a breathe of fresh air compared to the Hillside location , friendly sales person but I know what I wanted so this was a quick transaction, my only disappointment was the delivery date wasn't as promised and I know that happens but if I didn't follow up I wouldn't known that the date was changed, but other than that I will be back 🏃‍♂️for a sofa. 👍

Great communication as far as delivery and customer service!

I thought it should have been an easy experience, I was disappointed. Went to the store knowing exactly the piece I wanted and pay with the Ashley card. The salesperson said the card was invalid. Not true I found out later. I was supposed to receive free delivery per Ashley website, salesperson said no. After delivery missing hardware, I notified Ashley same day after being transferred 5 times and hung up on. Was advised they needed photos. Not sure why, I was not claiming damage. Was told it would take 2 to 3 weeks to receive hardware once request was approved. Horrible customer service, for sure will not purchase my sectional from them.

I left a review a few weeks ago and Ashley responded. Thank you for the response, but I want to be very clear for anyone reading this — this reply did not result in any resolution. We did reach out using the contact information provided, and nothing was fixed. No exchange was approved, no accountability was taken, and no meaningful assistance was offered. This response appears to be more about creating the appearance of customer service rather than actually providing it. Unfortunately, this has been consistent with our entire experience: lots of apologies, zero action. Posting a public response does not undo weeks of being ignored, hung up on, or denied a guarantee we were explicitly told was included with our purchase. I stand by my review. The customer service has been terrible from start to finish, and this response did not change that.

Buyer beware, we ordered a sectional from this store and was told it would be delivered in over a months time. Ashley took full payment from us and a week before delivery we noticed a partial refund. Digging in why we got partial money back, we noticed 2 of the 5 pieces from our order were missing. Support hotline was useless and directed us to visit store. At store we discovered they had run out of inventory and sold the last floor model to someone else. After no luck searching for additional inventory they then told us despite taking full payment, we were out of luck and would we like to select a different sectional. Unfortunately for us selection was limited and nothing else met our specific needs. At no point did anyone reach out to us proactively to explain the issue, we had to make trips out ourselves. They held onto a significant sum for a month, money that would could have places elsewhere to grow. When we asked for a full refund at the store they could not do it, and told us we have to wait for a phone call adding yet another run around to an already long process. We will never do business with them again and offer warning to anyone thinking of doing so.

I don’t even have the words to properly describe how awful our experience was. We bought a sectional with Patrick on 12/1. Paid in full. Scheduled delivery on 1/31. Two weeks before delivery, we get a partial refund on our credit card from Ashley. No explanation. We try to call and get routed around the 888 line, where we’re eventually told we have to go to the store to resolve the issue. My husband visits in person on a Saturday and is told that they need a few days to look into the issue and that they will follow up on Monday. No follow up. I have to contact Patrick twice to get an update which is that 2 of the 5 sectional pieces are out of stock. I ask him to cancel the order and send an email confirmation. He completely ghosts and doesn’t reply. I go to the store the next day and ask for the manager. I’m directed to Shadi. I say I need to cancel an order they completely messed up. HE DOESN’T EVEN ASK WHAT’S WRONG. He calls the same 888 number to request a cancelation. At one point he said- “If I waive the shipping fee, will you keep the order?” I said: “What am I going to do with 3 pieces of a 5 piece set? If you had asked me why I’m cancelling, you would have known that’s not a reasonable offer.” Completely incompetent. He then said the “cancelation team” will call me later today to confirm. I asked what they’re calling me for because I came to the store to cancel. He informed me they don’t do cancellations in store. Let me be clear- this guy could not care less about customer service and should not be a manager. He kept shrugging his shoulders at me and said there’s nothing he can do. I’m seeing other reviews getting notes from Ashley to call or text corporate to discuss their complaints; however, every single time I’ve done so I’m told to go back to the store. This place is a total racket. They take your money, don’t deliver the product, and then have the WORST service ever when it all hits the fan. Do not under any circumstance buy your furniture here.

Beware of this store and Ashley Furniture’s customer service. This has been, without question, one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I truly want to save the next person from the frustration and stress we’ve gone through. We purchased a brand-new Nectar mattress and were told it came with a sleep guarantee. After the first week, we knew it wasn’t right for us and decided we wanted to exchange it—actually upgrade it. We were then told we had to wait 30 days. Fine, no problem. On day 30, we contacted them and were told we had to submit a ticket. That ticket was denied with no real explanation. We then called this specific store six times, and not once did anyone help us. On a few occasions, the calls were simply hung up on. We are currently on hold with corporate trying to resolve this, making this our seventh attempt to get help just to exchange a mattress we were told was covered under a guarantee. The customer service across the board has been absolutely atrocious. If you think of the worst customer service experience you’ve ever had, multiply it by two—that’s Ashley Furniture.

DO NOT buy anything on this store!!!!! costumer service is crap!! we bought a love seat two mounts ago it shown that they have it in existence, two weeks later no delivery, I called to find out the status, they told me it was set to reselection, I went to the store only to find out that the item was discontinued, they refer me back to the costumer service for cancelation. Called and told me that somebody from the cancelation department will contact me, nobody called. Every single time I called they have different story. Two months and I have not received my refund!! This is unacceptable!! NOW THEY SAID I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 7 TO 10 BUSINESS DAYS!!!!!! UPDATE DECEMBER 26th CALLED THE NUMBER THAT WAS LISTED. FIRST THEY SAID THERE WAS NO ORDER, CHECKED AGAIN AND FOUND THE ORDER AND THEY GIVE ME A COMPLETLY DIFFERENT STORY NO REFUND YET. UPDATE JANUARY 6th. CALLED ONCE MORE AND STILL NO REFUND!! I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 5 DAYS!!

We had a great experience with Ashley Furniture after purchasing couches, dressers, and nightstands around Black Friday. Mina was wonderful to work with—she was very patient, kind, and took the time to walk us through different options and scenarios. Bianca was also fantastic and helped us on several occasions; when we found a cheaper price online on Thanksgiving, she made sure we were refunded the difference. Delivery went smoothly, and the delivery driver went above and beyond by finding a way to fit our couches downstairs.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Ashley Furniture.I purchased a bedroom set specifically for out-of-town guests arriving for Christmas and New Year’s. At the time of purchase, the store manager personally assured me they had 'lots in stock' and that delivery would not be an issue. Now, less than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery, I am told the headboard is on 'extended delay' and won't arrive until after my guests are already here. This is a classic bait-and-switch on availability. Their only solution was a partial delivery and an apology. If you need furniture for a specific deadline or event, do not trust their 'in-stock' claims. Terrible communication and even worse execution.

Do yourself a favor and just go to Steinhafels or any other furniture store nearby. Terrible experience. They lied to us about delivery to get us to pull the trigger on purchase. Keep pushing delivery and customer service won't do anything to help. Our ticket was "escalated" and we were told we'd have a resolution within 3 business days. A week later they keep passing us to the next rep. They continually hang up as they "put us on hold" and refuse to help. Diego was the salesman and told us that the shipping was guaranteed because it wasn't farther than a month out. Go anywhere else, the whole process is exactly what you don't want when furniture shopping. Edit: here's that number Ashley gave us. Just a glimpse into the customer experience.

Nice salesperson asked if we had seen some tables in a different part of store and we said no after he showed us there was a table there we actually liked and ended up buying

I walked in with my 93 year old mother who needed a small table for her new senior living apartment. John helped us immediately, understood what we needed and showed us an ideal table. He also got an extra $150 off approved due to a difference between the online price and the store price.

Bought a rug and a couch for delivery October 7. Couch shows up on October 7, no rug. Turns out they canceled the rug without bothering to tell me. Reordered the rug on October 9. Still hadn’t shipped by December 1 so eventually just canceled it. No real apologies or solutions, it seems this is the norm. Now dealing with a couch that has a broken frame. Technician eventually showed up after they canceled my initial appointment (again, didn’t bother telling me that they canceled it) only to tell me the parts they sent won’t fix the squeaking because it’s the wood frame, not the mesh. Technician said the entire couch needed to be replaced and they would call me in two days. Shocker, they didn’t call in two days so I called. Was told upper management had to OK the replacement couch and I’d be emailed today when it was approved. No email today. This experience has been nothing short of a joke. I was warned by several people not to buy from Ashley for this exact reason. I wish I’d listened.

The application for the Ashley credit card is done on a kiosk in the front of the store. No privacy while putting in confidential information. My salesman, Ali, was very nice, informative and personable. He put me at ease about this large purchase and answered all of my questions.

The store was short staffed but we only waited a few minutes for a salesman. He had come in on quick notice. He was very helpful and professional.

This location is hands-down the worst. I was completely ignored by staff—probably because of my age—and spent over 30 minutes wandering around before I finally had to ask for help. I even gave them a second chance, hoping it was just a bad day, but it was even worse: rude, selective, and just plain disappointing service. By contrast, the Schaumburg location was a total 180, it was friendly, and had helpful staff who actually made shopping easy. Seriously, don’t waste your time here.

Stay clear of Ashley stores , I was warned and didn’t listen and I regret it , low quality products and terrible customer service. $800 additionally was added to my account that no one seems to know where the charge came from and to top it off if can’t be removed. The king size bedroom set was broke and I have numerous calls into the warranty department as well as Shadi the sales rep as well as his manager Blanca Villanueva and they don’t respond, and try to postpone your problem till your outside of warranty and or return dates, also for the record I don’t write reviews often , there’s people who just love to complain and I’m not one of them. Beware! Update 12-8-25 The lovely response that you see from corporate is just to fool the public, they do not respond to that email. They just want to show that they are being responsive. So far this is the update, the bed has broke completely and is completely unusable. The mattress is permanently deformed. We are talking about a 16 inch nectar that cost $1700. They never came out to evaluate, you have to do all the work yourself take photographs, and then they order parts based on the photographs that you send to them. I just received a bunch of parts at my house and upon opening them they are the new drawers for the bed, there is nothing wrong with the current drawers I have, nor was this a problem which they would have known if they would’ve sent their rep out, so this just leads me to believe that when they supposedly show up for the schedule repair Wednesday, December 10, they are gonna have to order all new parts and I will once again be without a bed for over a month that is an additional month actually Update it’s now dec 17th and still no repair , no email response , no calls just silence , so after calling today I get a response from Jenny the AI chatbot who is your only option stating my repair is scheduled today between 8- and 10 PM so you’re coming at 10 o’clock at night potentially and your gonna finish when midnight? Update 12-23-25 Still no repair or exchange made on this product, stayed home the other day from work to accept an exchange that never showed up, today I was told at 2 PM. I would receive a complete replacement of not only the bedframe, but finally, they agreed to replacing the mattress , at 4:30 pm The crew showed up with only a couple of pieces, and I was told by the repair gentleman that this would not solve the problem and it would be best to not even spend the time repairing it, as far as Ashly furniture your calls and emails get responded by Jeni the AI Chatbot stay clear of this place trust me So many people told me too, and I’m so mad for not taking their advice. Update 2/21/26 Still no bed , still no answers from corporate . Incompetent managers and they just don’t care

I was greeted by Mina and she explained the charge card options. She then said to look around and if I need help to let her know. I found exactly what I needed and Mina helped me apply for credit. Mina is patient and a very understanding and fun sales person. Go to Ashley and ask for Mina to help you. She is a fantastic sales person

I've never been inspired to write a negative review about a business until now. My experience with this location was terrible, and it made an already stressful move significantly more stressful. The long and short of it was that it became a running joke at work: "I'm guessing your furniture hasn't been delivered yet?" There were errors and promises that couldn't be kept with the items I was told I was purchasing on the day of the sale. There were delayed deliveries that I wasn't contacted about, so I nearly moved into a home that wouldn't have had anything to sleep on for over a month had I not been proactive. There were sick days at work wasted due to a failed delivery and a delivery that was never actually scheduled to begin with, despite my assurances by store employees that all of these issues were resolved. Although the employees were friendly, they made promises that couldn't be kept, and my frustrations failing to get in contact with anybody from the store meant I traveled to talk to employees in person on four separate occasions. These interactions were pleasant, but all three people I worked with promised me something that didn't happen. And the only reason I finally got my bed set was that I called the corporate number and scheduled the delivery myself... despite employees at the location telling me it had already been done. Oh, and you guessed it: there was a slew of issues with the final delivery as well. Seriously, this drama cast a pall over weeks of my life. I'm simply exhausted by the whole experience and couldn't be happier to be done.

The entire sales team including management gave GREAT customer service. My problem is with the finance company Synchrony. I have a credit care with Ashley Furniture and have purchased the following items throughout the years. A dining room set, mattress, living room chairs, lamp tables , cocktail table and a table for my bedroom including my bedroom set, kitchen set . Because I haven't used the card in over a year Synchrony cancel my credit card without notifying me which I thought was very unprofessional. The store alerted me after I thought the sale had went through it didn't and I had to return to the store to pay with a different card. I would not have returned but the service was so great that I gave them the sale. How can a finance company tell you to spend your money, I didn't need to purchase anything before this. So heads up everyone if you apply for an Ashley credit card make sure you use it every year or they will cut you off.

He was just the right type of sales associate; very patient, not pushy, kind and helpful and did a great job going over prices, furniture protection, etc. Maggie the store manager was also fantastic. We will be using this ashley location for all of our furniture needs going forward. Also, I'm in love with our new couch and big reading chair. :)

I had to share my wonderful experience shopping at Ashley Furniture. I just bought a new house, so I was looking for all new furniture for everything. We were greeted instantly. They asked us if we needed help, but we said that we were just looking. A little while later Bianca Villanueva asked us how we were doing and helped us with selecting some new furniture. She made some recommendations she thought would suit us. She was very patient with us and our 2 young children. The staff engaged with our kids and were very friendly and kind to them. We returned 2 weeks later to buy a couch, and she greeted us again. She complimented me on the fact that I had colored my hair and remembered little details from our previous conversation 2 weeks prior. She was not pushy and let us shop at our own speed. The whole staff was wonderful and professional, but Bianca went above and beyond to get us everything we wanted at a reasonable price. We will absolutely be returning to Ashley in Downers Grove for all our other furniture needs.

My wife dragged me in to look at new a couch today. My intent was to browse and potentially go to one or two other stores. What I had not planned on was Jonathan (the awesome salesman), Josh (badass ASM), and Maggie (Boss Lady). This dude listened to exactly what my wife wanted (I'm only there to pay) we sat on every couch that matched our/her needs. We had narrowed the 4 down to 1, only going back and forth a couple times sitting and measuring with the tape measure. It had seemed like we had our decision made, then my guy JT was like "WAIT, check out this last one!". When I tell you this guy nailed it on exactly what we wanted, I almost left with a basic (but still very nice) sectional setup with a chaise on the end. BUT instead we decided on the same configuration we loved but with reclining seats and chaise and I couldn't be happier. The crew that helped us tonight was top notch. I will absolutely come back for my furniture needs

Not good bought a $2000 sofa only last one year only had one year warranty when the sales person that worked with me said it had a 5 year warranty. Went back, had ordered a Matress, but canceled the order. I didn't want to buy anything from the Ashley store. Update: So i called the number provided below since Ashley furniture said they would work on a solution and guess what it was, in fact, the Ashley furniture number, but for the delivery service. So i look up once again for the customer service number on the web, spend a little over 50 min talking to the agent just to tell me once again, oh! Sorry, your warranty expired, which this was the main reason I called for in the first place. I requested to speak with a manager, and they told me he is not available and that they would call me. I am still waiting for the call and nothing. Do not buy your furniture here!!! Terrible customer service and bad quality furniture. Buy under your own risk.

Looking for one piece of furniture (an ottoman) which basically requires walking through the store to find the ONE. The staff was great at answering our questions and providing pricing info. We had pretty specific ideas for size, color, material, firmness, ect. We were able to find the ONE in our price range within 1/2 hour (after searching online and three other furniture stores).

Been looking for a sleeper or modular chase type of sleeper for visiting family to sleep on in my home office for a while now. Prior to our purchase, I’ve mostly had time to look online. I’m glad we went into the store, the color and fabric texture was exactly what I was looking for. Our sales rep was Tremaine “Tre”. He was super professional and left us feeling like new friends and not just a buyer. Being a small business owner myself, that is very important to me bc I see my clients as extended family/friends. Nowadays it seems that all too often that quality gets lost in salespeople, but he has a real knack for connecting and understanding buyers. Thank you Tre. We will be back for for more furniture after we finish the downstairs remodel.

Bad experience with Ash Patel – avoid at all costs. I made a very clear, repeated, and urgent request that my furniture must be delivered on July 1. I placed the order on June 14, giving more than enough time. Ash Patel — who proudly told me “Don’t worry, I’m the manager” — assured me the delivery would be set for that exact date. He said he would change the delivery date “later,” which already struck me as lazy and careless. And surprise: his laziness is exactly what screwed this up. Instead of doing his job, Patel let the July 1 delivery slots fill up. His incompetence alone caused this delay. When he called me days later to tell me the furniture wouldn’t arrive until July 3, he suddenly turned from the confident “manager” into someone who “can’t do anything.” Useless. Then he had the audacity to repeatedly ask if I wanted to cancel my order — as if he was begging me to make his job easier by walking away. He made no real effort to fix his mistake. He during our call, he was condescending, and hung up on me. Then he cowardly texted afterward saying I could only speak to him via text from now on — a pathetic move to avoid accountability. Ash Patel is unprofessional, dishonest, and utterly incompetent. If you’re considering buying anything from this place, turn around and walk out the second you see this guy. A “manager” who guarantees something and then blames the system when it fails, who dismisses customer concerns, and who can’t even own up to his own screw-up has no business being in customer service. Do not trust this man. Do not trust his promises. You’ll be the one paying for his laziness and arrogance.

Tre’s vibe felt familiar and made us feel at home. Ao much so, I asked him what his birthdate was. He’s an Aries and his birthday is 1 day before my brother and 2 days before my sister. I purchased $5000 worth of furniture for a future delivery date through Acima. I cancelled the order 2 weeks ago. Ashley staff didn’t tell Acima that the order was cancelled. Acima is now taking hundreds out of my bank account because of the cancellation process’ team inability to let them know that this order was cancelled. Ashley furniture rep convinced me to go through Acima for financing and after I was approved for $10k I noticed how horrible Acima is and would be paying double for cheap furniture. So I cancelled because it was financially the smart thing to do. Now I have to call them and get my money back because the idiots at Ashley made it so hard….. I will never buy furniture here ever.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I’ve often found other online options that sell the same exact furniture for almost half the cost. He also made a comment when trying to have us sign up for their credit card. He was not happy that we declined and said " you must not like paying 0% interest". I wanted to tell him there is also 0% when paying cash, 😉

I was out mowing when the delivery people showed up. Upon them, bringing it into the house setting it up he tried the two recliners on each end of the couch. They worked perfect as I was moving some things I signed his phone that’s saying I received them upon picking some things up to move around. I noticed the couch had a couple imperfections on it. I turned around they were gone. I went outside. The truck was gone, so I can’t after trying the recliner out, the massage wasn’t working either which wasn’t tested, and you’re having a white glove delivery. This does not convey to me. They should’ve tested every aspect of it or I should’ve had the opportunity while they were here to test every aspect of it, but I didn’t my bad, but this is brand new never been sat on . and now after reporting it, it seems like I’m getting a hassle which I shouldn’t

Mina introduced herself when I first walked through the doors, gave me her card and let me stroll. Very polite and friendly Mina answered my questions and helped me make a final decision. Kudos Mina! Then she introduced me to Shadi ( the BedDoctor!!! Very Friendly and he assisted me with purchasing 2 Storm pillows. I had a Great Time in the store. I felt like I was Welcomed by all. We found a TV stand online and when we spotted it in store it was a far heftier price but since it was from the outlet, she gave us a price match to the one online! If we could give one zero we would. First time purchasing from Ashley, the furniture was doorstep delivery and when we opened the box the item was broken. The base of the table was cracked in half. Customer service had us file a claim where on 3 separate occasions we were asked to send the same information. Stopped into the store where the store manager closed our original claim and opened a new one and has yet to follow up or call us back. That was weeks ago. We will be contesting the charge with our credit card company. Horrible customer service for what should have been a simple fix. We will never be purchasing anything from this store in the future.

We visited this store 4 times before deciding on a couch. We spent a lot of time measuring and deciding. Bianca was so patient and wonderful. Josh kept my chatty 7 year old entertained while we went through the process. 10 out 10 would recommend

This review is pertaining to the Downers Grove, IL location. Our saleslady Mina was great, the manager was not. Early on, she told him “don’t scare away my customers” in a non-friendly, serious tone in order to combat his behavior. There are a few instances that I could refer to, but as we were sitting down to finalize the purchase, the manager mentioned how “his guys known to throw mattresses and other things around the truck”. Threats are not an ideal way to make a sale, especially considering the $100 delivery fee. He was so rude and nasty… We would like to see that Ashley corporate ensures that our mattress is delivered in the perfect condition that we paid for. We would like to think that he was an outlier and this does not align with Ashley standards. If not for us having a plan to buy the mattress coming in combined with Mina being so accommodating, we would have simply just walked out. A tip for the manager - Remember who the customer is. I can only imagine how their interactions go when there are no customers present. He nearly ruined our entire experience with Ashley, but Mina was our saving grace. There may need to be some training or disciplinary action necessary for the manager, but I will leave that up to the powers that be. Looking forward to our new mattress.

Overall it was a good experience at the store. The employees were very helpful. Even the customer service reps are deserving of positive remarks. HOWEVER, the delivery company that is used by Ashley was horrible. The guys put a hole in the wall and never said anything, They cracked the frame of the sofa, they got grease on the fabric because they took the plastic off of the sofa before they brought it in, and they told me that they wouldn't bring it up the stairs (it wouldn't fit in the elevator) unless I "take care of them with a good tip". Now I have to pay a fine for the hole they put it the common area wall and I have to spend another day waiting for this sofa to be picked up because of the damage they did.

Had a good experience with your sales people. We had one gal initially and then we finished the transaction the next day with another bc she wasn’t in yet when we came back. They both were very personable and helpful. They both explained the charges for everything. Talked about the sectional and its pieces, function, etc. Had a good experience overall. They also said they could set up a delivery date when we were ready. We are trying to sell some other furniture before we get your product bc we wouldn’t have room yet.

I was in need of a new bed and on the fence on which Ashley location to go to. I decided to go to the Downers Grove Location. When I arrived I was greeted right away by Mina who assisted with giving great furniture ideas and was "Johnny on the Spot " with every question or concern I had regarding furniture. What was challenging was the bed section- I am not expert on which is the right one to pick and unaware how I liked the comfort of my bed. Until I was introduced to Josh. Josh asked me right away when I walked in the bed section if I needed help. We went through so many beds and his knowledge and professionalism is amazing. I felt so comfortable with explaining how I wanted my new bed and what I wanted for comfort. Josh was able to show me the reason why I needed this amazing bed and I was able to walk away feeling absolutely excited for delivery for my new bed. Josh's services are amazing! I would love to work with him again in the future as I will need assistance for furniture. If you want excellent, knowledge, genuine service see Josh!

Good contemporary selections, reasonable prices and helpful staff. Easy quick pick up at warehouse

Please be aware before you give them your hard earned money. They will only care about you when you’re in the store ready to pay. They messed up the order by sending the wrong bed which set off a whole chain of events that included mistakes on Ashley’s, the bank’s, and the customer service’s end. Charged us interest on “unpaid monthly payment” when we were told to NOT make payments until the correct item arrived. The bank conveniently didn’t send us a billing statement either!!! Store employees will admit their mistakes and tell you on your face they are not responsible once the item is in your home!!!! Then who is responsible for your mistake of sending the wrong order? They will send you on never ending cycles from one department to another. The store manager Tekuita conversed normally and listened to us until all of her arguments fell through the cracks. She became very defensive trying the defend the shady business policies Ashley has. I feel bad for her honestly, trying to defend your employer preying on unaware customers. Trust me, when things go wrong, you WILL NOT have anyone answer to your concerns. Never have I ever received such negligence from a company especially a company this big!!!! Please own up to your mistakes and correct them. There’s other ways to make money beside scamming your customers.

I wish could give this place a zero star. I bought my bed frame from here and the sales person put in the wrong color. Over that I was charged interest for something that came in late. They said to called the finance department, I kept going back and forth when Ashley should take responsibility for a mistake THEY DID. I went to Ashley a COUPLE times and there response is "we are not responsible for this". You are the ones who messed up the order, accountability should be taken. Customer service was horrible. This place has changed 4 managers since I bought my furniture.

Zero stars would be more accurate. No one from customer service or the store calls back after they tell you they will call back. After 2 incorrect deliveries for a bed order the 3rd delivery did not contain the correct hardware to put the bed together. Now waiting on a 4th delivery, of which my child has not had a bed to sleep on for 3 weeks now. Absolute nightmare. Will never buy from here again.

I was looking for a desk that I found online… wanted to see the quality. I was greeted by Joshua and he explained everything and was so helpful! I was pleased I could have had delivery within 4 days. Reviews said they liked the desk. I haven’t had delivery yet but was very happy with the service I received.

Our salesman, Dan Plunkett, was very patient with us, showing us several couches and providing helpful information. When we finally settled on one he was helpful, explaining all the details. We did not get the insurance on the couch which he stressed was very important, but accepted our decision without a lot of high pressure. The sales manager was a little more persuasive but we stuck to our guns. I’:m eighty years old so a five year warranty isn’t as attractive as a warranty at 40. Delivery will be within 5 days. All in all a pleasant experience.

Bad experience on the warehouse. We pick up. Dining set. When open it, one of stools broken. When we returned the broken piece (we have appointment and the documents) the lady on warehouse was so rude she needed a number we show her the invoice. She said it wasn’t… suggested we returned another day! (We traveled 45 min to get there) when we asked for the manager she said the manager she couldn’t do anything for us. She called her she was same rude than the employee….. we had to call to the location and they fixed the problem for us.

I've had my headaches with the Ashley brand before, mostly with delivery and the policy of once it's in your home damaged they will not replace but want to fix even if it was damaged before delivery. Against my better judgement I purchased another piece on 12/2/24 to add onto the sectional I already have. We arranged for doorstep delivery for 12/11/24. I confirmed the date with the store and everything was good to go. I took off an unpaid day of work to make sure I could be available (something that can't be undone). Today I got a text about picking up at a distribution warehouse on 12/11 instead of doorstep delivery. Call the support number, long and behold it was never scheduled for the doorstep delivery. Now I'll take off another unpaid day of work to hopefully get my piece delivered that will probably be damaged in shipping. It seems like a simple concept, I just want to give you guys money and get the product I purchased in good condition. As of now my time on support for this sectional as well as calls to the BBB and "repair people" in my home is upwards of 20hrs and climbing apparently.

Josh was incredible to work with. He was super patient, and helped answer all of our questions. He also helped get us the best deal possible and offered his expert options. For example, we were between two couches, and based on where it was going in our house, Josh gave his opinion and it was actually the cheaper couch option. He wasn’t just interested in making the sale; he wanted to make we were genuinely happy with our purchases. My husband and I were in the store for almost four hours, and Josh could not have been nicer, more patient or more helpful. We had a very positive experience, and I’m sure we’ll be back!

I wish I could give this store 0 stars! Do not purchase from Ashley, they're customer service is the worst! They do not honor their one year warranty and make you use your extended warranty for something that is clearly a manufacture defect. I purchase a bedroom set that included a chest back in November of 2023. At first look everything looked fine after everything was put together, but last week when I was clearing out my running clothes to reorganize, I noticed a significant crack INSIDE the chest at the top. Additionally, the backboard to the chest is no longer secured to the chest and I'm wondering if it ever was. Once they put the chest together and put it against my wall, it has never been touched other than putting my clothes in the drawers or on the shelves. So how the backboard comes away from the chest and this large crack happen INSIDE the chest I have not idea. I was told that it wouldn't be covered under the warranty and I have to use the extended warranty. I feel as though they were eluding to my being at fault for this. I went into the Ashley store to get this resolved only to be told I had to call a number. After going through hoops to get pics uploaded and such, and finally getting Angel (because the other two I dealt with truly were not helpful) the so called escalation specialist who said she would be able to help after i specifically asked to speak with someone who can make decisions. She told me she could get the piece back to showroom quality and what she would do is order the parts and get them sent to me, then when they arrive we'd schedule a time for a tech to come out to repair the chest or determine that it would need to be replaced. Never did she say this still needed to go through the approval until TODAY (10/9/24) when she told me the claim was reviewed and they denied it. This is AFTER she said she could get it back to showroom quality. Just a bunch of liars and crooks and it's ashame they are even still in business with all of the negative reviews they have. Check out the BBB if you don't believe me. I will never step foot in an Ashley ever in life and I hope anyone reading this doesn't either.

Great experience! The staff made it an enjoyable process

Ordered a new mattress and adjustable bed frame and had it delivered to my house. Upon setup of the adjustable bed frame the guy told me it wasn’t working but it was not a big deal he is going to make note of it and someone will call me in one hour to get it replaced with a new bed frame that is working. A few hours go by and I hadn’t heard anything so I called the customer service line. They had seen no note about anything wrong with our delivery but she put the note in and “fixed” everything and someone would be calling me by the end of that day to set up a new delivery date for a non broken bed frame. The next day in the afternoon I still hadn’t heard from anyone so I called customer service at Ashley again and they said wrong item was put in as damaged and she fixed that and said someone would call us within 48 hrs to set up delivery for new item. That night got a message from this store asking how our delivery was and I said horrible because they sent a broken item and still haven’t replaced it. This store said I had to call the items manufacturer to see if it can be replaced. I was so frustrated with all the different answers and things I was being told I had my husband call today. Neither the manager at the downers grove store wants to help fix their mistake and neither does the customer service line at Ashley. I spent a LOT of money in this store as I felt I was buying a really great product but obviously not if they won’t return their broken item for a non broken item. I will never purchase from this company again.

Never buy from Ashley. Scam alert! Sales reps in store are fine but Ashley management has zero customer service. There is no one to escalate delivery issues to… items arrive damaged and they try to fix it instead of replacing even though you’ve paid full price! Their management is trying to cut costs anyway they can and they refuse to call customers back - their reps say that there is no line to the senior management team. Horrible experience every time I’ve ordered. First delivery had a cut in the couch that took a week to get replaced, second delivery had scratches on ottoman that took over a month to get replaced, third delivery of nightstands took three replacements and still arrived damaged! At this point I’m fed up and they’ve said all sales are final - save yourself the headache and get your furniture elsewhere! They lie and don’t deliver on their promises to customers.

Horrendous delivery. Came through to my high rise… checked in and left. Just left the entire property. I took the day off. They ended up coming back about an hour later but not after having to do a bunch of phone calls.

The sales lady was great. The manager is something to be desired. She was very rude and not helping the newer sales lady to complete my order. At one point she even argued with me bc one of my pieces weren’t showing up but wanted me to sign that it was complete. People like that should not be representing your store as she will loose business for you. She was not doing her job as a manager and should go somewhere that she doesn’t have to work with the public. I’m sure I’m not the only one seeing this bc another lady in there was just shaking her head at the way she was treating me and the sales lady. I sure hope you will follow through on this matter as I have bought more things from you as well as brought people in there also.

Clean store, helpful staff. I was quoted rate for in home delivery, then at time of purchase was told the quote was wrong by $70. I feel the original quote should have been honored, it was not my mistake, it was theirs.

One star is so much for them. They want just sell their stuff! We bought a mattress from them, supposed to be firm but it wasn't firm! We wanted to return, but they don't return! We want to exchange, but they don't exchange! Becareful when buying something from them! First maybe you can buy cheaper in other stores or online! Second ask them about return policy! They want just sell, they don't share with customers about returning! Check their materials carefully. Check their reviews!

Way overpriced

On June 25, we ordered a custom couch from Ashley furniture. An associate helped us design the dimensions and assured us multiple times that it would fit the space. When the couch was delivered, it was missing legs for one section of the couch. The delivery driver shared the warehouse made a mistake and called his warehouse manager on the spot. That manager assured me they would deliver and assemble the couch legs that day, ensuring the couch was complete. The delivery driver also shared I needed to provide an e-signature in order for him to leave my home. I provided my e signature because I didn’t want strangers in my home. The warehouse did not come that day, requiring me to call Ashley multiple times to get the legs shipped. It ultimate took 10 days for the legs to arrive, leaving a section of the couch flipped upside down in my house the entire time. After the legs were finally delivered and the final assembly was completed (requiring another service scheduled), it was clear that the couch was not properly designed, and was too narrow to be functional. After seeing the poor couch design, we called Ashley again to request a replacement. All we wanted was to swap two pieces on the current couch for a different one that would fit better due to the original associates mistake when ordering the original couch. Ashley shared that since the delivery was more than 48 hours before and we signed the form from the delivery driver, we were not guaranteed a replacement. Keep in mind that the delivery driver would not leave my home without a signature and the assembly delay was due to multiple service failures by Ashley, not any delay from us. They also shared that we would hear back about the replacement within two business days. We didn’t hear from them for over 6 business days, requiring us to drive to the Ashley store to speak with an associate. We met with the store manager, who acknowledged the multiple service failures and submitted a replacement request to the Ashley corporate office. The manager shared that although she would do her best, replacements are not guaranteed (even in the case of egregious service failures) and could take up to 6 months to resolve. 10 days after speaking with the manager, I received an automated text from Ashley requesting a time to come back to our house. I thought they were sharing a time to finalize the requested replacement. I called the Ashley store to confirm, only to find out it was not a replacement, rather a repair request to assemble the legs of the couch. Keep in mind, they had already assembled the legs weeks before. I shared this information with Ashley’s automated service and the manager. The manager asked that I continue to wait. A few days later, I received another automated text asking to come into my home. Again, I asked what they planned to do. The automated Ashley support said that my replacement request was in fact denied, but they could come back to assemble my legs. Given Ashley furniture had messed up every service request throughout this month long process, it is clear that they are either incapable of managing simple service requests, or are fine taking customers’ money without fulfilling their obligations. Either way, it was the absolute worst customer experience i have ever had. I spent hours proactively dealing with this issue and Ashley Furniture could not even keep the order straight, let alone resolve my issue. I will never order from Ashley furniture again and would strongly advise all others to do the same. This is an incompetent and unethical organization that only cares about taking customer money without fulfilling their own service requirements.

Ashley representative approached us right away. Understood what we were looking for and brought us right to it. Quick and easy!

However, when it was time the check out I was told that after a $5000 amount of money spent which included delivery, an item I bought on mark down that was $250 had to be shipped separately (understood) for $140 extra. If I could give zero stars I would. I walked in, excited to see what the store offered because my fiancé and I are looking for a whole new living room and a bed room set. However, I felt suffocated for the 10 minutes I was in there because their sales associate followed us around the whole time. We weren’t comfortable discussing what we liked and disliked with each other. It was extremely annoying we didn’t get to look in peace. I definitely will not be returning.

Recently got a queen size bed. Worked with Sam, who was a great help very open to what we were looking for. He suggested we look online and find a better rate and they would price match!!! So we did just that and saved $200.

I wasted money on paying for insurance 5-Star Services their agency for insurance is unprofessional and unorganized. It was a waste of time and energy. I am never shopping at Ashley again. 5 star will ask you 101 questions and then close out your claim without notifying you. When I tried to reopen the claim they said it is too late and they can no help at all. Eric, was rude and hung up on me when asking to speak to a manager.

I felt pressured to purchase I clearly stated that I was there to see and feel furniture prior to deciding whether or not to purchase. I feel like they could improve on customer service I returned the next day to purchase item and waited extremely long time even though I'd given all my information the day before. Sadly to say this will be the last purchase to them not even a care kit with my purchase Bob's,VCF and The Room Place gives those to customers. Mindful you I paid CASH not credit not financed CASH!!!!! Do Better !

I took my 93 year old mother shopping at several other furniture stores in the area and Ashley was by far the best one. The selection was great and the prices reasonable. Sam our salesman was kind and patient with us. The store manager was also a good combo of friendly and professional.

The seller Saul was very nice. Saul put a lot of attention to my details, he was patient with me and a great advisor. He, also advise myself on the payment options and their plans. After having decided on the chair I wanted, (salesperson was very helpful), I went home to mull it over. A few days later I came back to the store to make a purchase. About a half hour later, after wrestling with a cumbersome check out system, I left the store with my paperwork. While eating dinner that evening I got a call from the store telling me that my sale did not go through and the only way to remedy that was to make another trip to the store.Which I made. In all my adult years (I’m 86) I have never had so much trouble spending a thousand dollars. My experience really was FANTASTIC!!! Wouldn’t you know it, a few days later I checked my credit card account and saw that I was charged twice. That created another trip to the store and I was able to find someone who knew what they were doing and I got the proper credit. Thank goodness I saved the receipts.

Ordered a couch May 17th was told it would be delivered June 21st. Rescheduled once for a week later. Rescheduled a 2nd time for another week later. Rescheduled a 3rd time for 4 weeks later. Ashley now rescheduled a 4th time for another week. We are at 9 weeks past the original promise date and I expect for it to never come. If they do not give me a different discounted piece of furniture for 80% off I will be reporting to better business bureau. Horrible horrible service most unprofessional experience I’ve ever encountered. Do not buy from Ashley Furniture.

Quick, easy, not pushy, truly professional!!

Super high pressure sales. Sales guy wouldn’t leave us alone the entire time we were in the store. Wasn’t knowledgeable about the products resulting in something we couldn’t use when we got it home. Plus, messed up the order in the system at checkout creating problems at pickup. But, the manager was very nice and helpful at resolving the issues once she became involved.

Ben Dray is an awesome guy. By far the best retail furniture experience I’ve ever had. He was very courteous, asked a lot of questions and made me feel sure about my purchase and the price of the item. Will definitely go back to him for any future furniture needs.

Honestly if it wasn’t for the brand name, I would have thought we were completely scammed. We ordered a $3000 temper pedic mattress and an additional $2000 in furniture. We went to register mattress and the SERIAL TAG was missing. We called and they said they couldn’t do anything since it was delivered already a day ago. Horrible. And the sales guy who sold this to us became instantly unresponsive after his “open door policy” garbage. We got a decent deal on the furniture but will never shop here again because of the distrust in this location and delivery.

Ben is the best! Coming from someone who doesn’t like to be followed around and talked to while trying to shop and prefers to ask questions when I’m ready. Ben did exactly this without me having to ask. He did check up on me every so often but didn’t bug me or try to force any sales on me. He was patient and educated on everything. I am really glad that he was able to help us.

Great experience shopping for living room furniture. I had ideas but i needed some help. Mauricio greeted me after just a minute and listened to my predicament. He helped me dial in a few colors and showed me several sofas and chairs that matched my own ideas, but came up with a couple on his own that I ended up going with. And glad he did because I'll now have more color in the mix where I was just being pretty bland and overdarkening a small room. I was hoping this was the day I'd finally find something, and I can say with the help I received, mission accomplished. I actually caught their VP or regional manager there just doing a normal Corp visit, and I felt good about letting him know what I thought about the staff at this store. I've shopped Naperville in the past, but this will be my goto from here. Thanks for the great customer service. From one retail professional (cuz it's not easy!) to another, you nailed it. Super happy!

Receive delivery of my broken and ripped couch in September and it’s the end of April and they still haven’t replaced or repaired it. Customer service is trash and quality of furniture is also terrible. I would recommend anyone to shop elsewhere for furniture. I’ve sent numerous emails and photos with no one taking accountability. — Update they now want charge me $585 to repair the couch that was delivered damaged. This place is a joke

I placed an order for 7 pieces of couch from Ashley and out of 7, 2 looks like not new or fresh. And look like old and used once. Looking for replacement.

We bought a mattress from this location from ETHAN A who also added a bed foundation when we didn’t need one. He gave us a “massive discount” when he sold the mattress for its actual price. Did not tell us about the “no return policy”. Gave us his card to call him with any issues and RETURNS. We are trying to return the bed foundation, as we do not need it PLUS it came ripped. ETHAN A is not answering our calls, and the customer representatives at the store are extremely rude and mocked me over the phone. DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY STORE, ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION.

The "Home Furnishing Specialist" that assisted me in purchasing 2 mattresses at the Ashley Furniture store at 2900 Highland Ave. In Downers Grove, IL, was fantastic! Ben Dray was so pleasant to work with. I told him that I usually dread mattress shopping but that he actually made the experience pleasurable. He was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed his sense of humor. He wasn't pushy at all. I highly recommend seeking him out if you go there. Thanks, Ben! Also, the delivery was on time and the delivery guys were quick but careful.

Customer service was great and very friendly but the process super slow and I personally I don’t like when they trying to sell a warranty, I had to say more than 6 times that I didn’t want any protection on my furniture. But manager was very friendly as well as the sales associate! I will definitely recommend the store to friends and family.

Went to buy a sectional I really like at another store, it was on sale for a good price. Got there and it had a sold tag, last one too. So I went next door to Ashley and found the same sectional, they price matched one I found online and included the protection plan, basically cutting my cost in half to meet my Out The Door max budget . My salesman Ben and the regional manager made this happen. I am super thankful to both of them.

Such a wonderful experience! My daughter had bought her furniture at Ashley so I thought I would look at couches there. The gentlemen couldn’t have been kinder or more patient! We were there for hours before we made our decision of what to buy. They were so accommodating. I would definitely go back. I saw a few more things I liked and the financing they offer makes it affordable!

First time shopping at Ashley's, I really loved the showroom setup. Very well laid out and a lot of nice furniture to see and the variety 👌 was much welcomed. A half of a star is too much. Went to buy a sofa today told them the specs and budget, had an inexperienced sales person and he kept steering us above budget. When we finally selected the sofa, he came back to us with a deal of $64/mo for 24 months on our Ashley card. He went to review with his female manager on duty (didn’t recall either persons name), he came back and said that the terms and discounts were not applicable to us, but his district manager told him previously that it was but the manager said it wasn’t so it went from 24 months to 18 months with a payment of $87, we agreed to that. He went to his manager again, then she came to us and said she couldn’t do that it would be an option of 6 or 12 months financing on our card then she asked us if we knew the available terms on our card, I said no, she typed like she was looking it up in her computer, and I was watching her do it and she was doing nothing there. I knew our terms and interest rate, she knew at the start prior to making any choices that we had this card and she said 12 months at $125 a month. We collected our card and ID and walked out mad and let her know we were mad. We have been long time Ashley customers, by this interaction we are questioning our choice to use Ashley ever again. Long term customers with over 10k in purchases since 2017…lost all because you have a manager that chooses to be a shyster and not honor deals made not once but 2 times during the same interaction, I want service, not used car sleazy salesman. 2 hours of our valuable time was wasted.

Bianca was very nice. I enjoyed working with her. The delivery wasn't supposed to arrive until after 4:30pm and it actually came at 2:30pm. The drivers were very friendly, professional and quick.

I recently bought a house and we went to Ashley furniture. As soon as we walked in we were greated by a kind worker. He had all the answers to our questions and gave us time and space when we wanted to walk around and look at everything. We spent hours there and everyone was patient with us as we made our decisions. The managers also chimed in and helped us with promotions and discounts! We financed a lot of furniture and they made it simple. All and all this was the best experience my wife and I have had buying furniture, and this wasn't our first time!

I was completely impressed with Josh’s professionalism and customer service.

On 1/30/24 we returned to the Ashley store in Lombard. We wanted to make sure we made the correct selection on the color of the recliner chair we purchased the day before. As we were heading to the chair area we were met by a sales representative Ben Dray who offered his assistance. We told him we wanted to color match our toss pillow from our sofa at home with the chair we bought. He walked back with us and recommended we use the flashlight on the phone to get a better look at the colors. Ben was extremely helpful and added his opinion that the chair we had purchased would match perfectly with our existing color sofa. We commented that he must be a great sales person has he has a wonderful personality and demeanor. I would definitely recommend both Benjamin Gonzales and Ben Dray if you need expert and knowledgeable experience. Kudos for employing these sales professionals.

The manager, Josh, was extremely helpful! From the time I called to seeing if they had a specific couch to the scheduling of delivery he was there every step of the way and more. He showed us so many couches and I ended up buying one that I didn’t even know about before coming in! Along with great tips for barstools, tables, etc I couldn’t have had a better experience. After picking everything out he followed up the next day to ensure that all the details were correct and answered all the questions I had. Great service and will definitely be coming back!

This review is specifically for Ben & Ethan. I was not in the market for a sofa but wandered in there and discovered they sold a 100% grain leather sofa I saw on the Internet. Once I saw this sofa I was kinda sold and was convinced by ETHAN if it was too big or it did not work I could return it and find something else. While driving home I still wasn’t sure if it would fit my space because it was a long chaise and I live in a rather small condo. Ethan convinced me I could exchange it and that he would help find a grain leather sofa to fit my space. Well, I got home and it was 20 inches longer (by measurement) than I needed. Contacted Ethan Jo said he would help locate a sofa that would fit my space and I haven’t heard from nor received a call from ANYONE at the Yorktown location to assist. So, if you are searching for a sofa and are unsure about your space don’t count on the “good people” named Ethan & Ben to be of ANY assistance in resolving your issue. Ethan claimed he has been with the company for 8 years and is a manager willing to assist to resolve any issues you may have. Please don’t believe them. Because they are not of you have any issues with purchasing from this particular store.

Had a wonderful experiences in Yorktown. Stopped in just to browse for a new bed yesterday. I was approached by Bianca who asked what I was looking for. I had a general idea but nothing in particular. She gave me some guidance but also time and space to look around on my own. I also needed a new mattress so she helped me narrow my search down quickly. Even though I planned on just browsing I ended up purchasing the bed and mattress. Bianca did an amazing job of breaking down all items I was billed for including the insurance and how to use it if needed. The sales manager, JB, was also extremely helpful with setting up a repair on a previous purchase made online since I had no idea how to actually use the insurance I had paid for. I have now made purchases from Ashley both online and in store and I can’t say enough about how amazing the in store experience is. Online can be more convenient but helpfulness and knowledge of the in store staff out weighs that by far.

Wow! We went to Ashley in Lombard just to “look” at some sectionals. We wound up buying a fantastic sectional couch and actually enjoyed the whole experience! WAS GIVING ME A HARD time not FINDING MY CREDIT CARD, I Gave THEM EVERYTHING, MY ACCOUNT NUMBER and card , ID social security and a credit card and that was not enough. I owe nothing on my account. You guys made it impossible and waiting for hours for them to arthuzie my purchase and they couldn't make it happen. I'm surprised you guys are still in business.

Well the seller who take my purchased wasn't as that polite he was mad I believe because he had to do other that run a credit for a big purchased. They were charging me more that the actual product seller did. I mean 75% more 100$ for something that cost 33 it is insane how they play with people and that was a price they did just for fun. I don't understand why but between ylthe seller person and the phone person they decide what to charge me. But I had no choice.

On November 16, 2023 I visited the Downers Grove location and William Coleman provided me with superb service! William demonstrated a positive stance with me as a customer from the time I walked in the store until I left the store. He was very kind,patient and thorough with me. The selection William showed me gave me a lot of options. I did purchased that day, and the value of the furniture was worth it. William also gave me a discount on the purchase which was an added blessing. The entire experience was Awesome and I really appreciated it!!! Thanks William!!!
