Ashley Store Joliet, IL

I went in to purchase a 3 seat sofa and love seat two weeks ago and had an absolute horrible experience. At first everything seemed fine but things changed very quickly. After I purchased my new couches their system went down. After their system went down they couldn’t locate my payment even though I was charged $2,000 for my purchase. I was told this would be fixed as soon as possible and that IT would be involved to resolve the issue. Unfortunately that never happened. I was then told Karen was the one who would correct the issue and this would be done asap…. this also never happened! I called my bank to double check and was told Ashley Furniture received the money the day after I was charged. I’ve showed Ashley Furniture my bank statements but nothing has been resolved. They are also not great at responding. I was told the GM would call but they never happened. Omar the assistant manager was great at first with communicating but he now no longer responds or picks up my calls. I’m currently down $2,000 with no couches. If this doesn’t get corrected shortly I will need to call in my bank for FRAUD! I will never do Business at this location again and I hope you all do the same! Also the number that you replied with is not in service. If you’re the owner why don’t you call me so we can go through exactly what happened

My first visit to Ashley and I was very impressed, customer service was excellent and the gentleman that assisted me was very welcoming, friendly and professional.He was very helpful and I was satisfied with his service and pleased with my purchase. Good job Ashley

I recently purchased two recliner ends of a sectional to make a sofa and a separate recliner. Delivery and setup went fine. Then I decided I wanted the console that goes in the middle of the sofa. I live near the Romeoville warehouse so I thought I’d order it online and pick it up. Can’t order parts separately online. So I called the joliet store. Three times. The man said everyone was busy and couldn’t help me. In fact, when the store doesn’t pick up the phone it automatically routes you to the online store who told me I had to order this piece through the store. Finally, I emailed the woman who sold me the furniture and never heard back from her. All I’m trying to do is spend more money on an additional piece and Ashley is making it waaay more difficult than it needs to be. I actually found a store in New York that can ship me the console for $180 and I’m seriously considering that.

Overpriced furniture with uneducated sales people.

Brenda Rosengarden was a joy to work with. She took me directly to the item I was looking for, and was very professional. I do plan to visit again soon.

Both guys were very effective representatives of Ashly Furniture. They made good presentations every step of the way to my purchase of a new mattress.

The sales men i talked to on 10/23/25 was not Omar but it seems like he try to throw Omar under the bus his name was Juan. R and let me tell u about this guy he looked so stressed out and unhappy with his job not only he over quoted my items that I had picked i had to ask him to correct the price since the online prices where different but I also showed him the price so therefore he should have given those prices as an Ashley furniture employee I accepted him to know this. But no worries I double checked the price anyways I will never do business with Ashley furniture again not only that he was not helpful at all. If anyone have questions from upper management I would be glad to answer ur questions.

Very pleasant experience very knowledgeable and friendly! Helpful not over bearing! Let me choose what I wanted and as a salesman myself we negotiated a fair deal! I walked out without having to go to another store so thank you for your help and the new beautiful furniture!

Purchased a new recliner. Very happy with it. I paid for delivery but found someone to help me pick it up with their truck. We did and I love it. The only thing I haven’t received my credit for delivery. They said I would and I haven’t as of yet. $140 plus…. Hours after purchase I have the chair but no refund. The manager said I would within 24 hours. Never happened! Please advise.

My experience was fantastic! I was in looking at a certain bed to match other items in my bedroom! That one didn’t work -but Brenda who was helping me found me a perfect bed to coordinate. She was so knowledgeable and so helpful and most of all not pushing. From her on out she will be my “go to” gal for all my furniture needs!

Stopped by Ashley just to peek at a sectional but with the non-pressure attention of Omar, we walked out committed to purchasing this beauty. He’s the perfect balance of support without the intensity some sales reps can present.

This is the second time we've had a negative experience with Ashley Furniture. The first was back in 2019, but we were ready to try again, see if we could find a better quality couch. We fell in love with a sectional and decided to order it on 8/8. We wanted to pick it up at the distribution center ourselves, so we did not get delivery. The salesman didn't say much but told us we could pick it up from the distribution center on 8/16. We were excited. 8/16 rolls around, we get rid of our old couches and look at our invoice to see the printed date of 8/23 for pickup instead of the 8/16 date we were verbally promised. He repeated it 3 times and told me to put it in my calendar, 8/16. But our mistake, should always check the invoice. Just put a bad taste in our mouths from the terrible communication. OK, so husband calls to set up pickup for the 23rd, he is rudely told they cant guarantee pickup the 23rd, but maybe the 24th. OK, fine. So we call the pickup center the night of the 22nd like we were told. The lady says call back in the morning to confirm. So we call in the morning on the 23rd to be told half the couch is in Louisiana and they havent even sent a driver yet. He could maybe have it by September. September?! "Maybe"?!? We wanted a couch a month ago. Terrible communication, terrible service, unfriendly staff. Overpriced for mid quality furniture. Will never shop at Ashley again.

Me and my boyfriend were looking for a couch and where having issues finding one. But as soon as we stepped in Marco asked us what we where looking for. Knew the exact couch we wanted. And helped us get approved for a loan for the couch. Marco was also kind and very helpful so shout out to him.

Didn't have the size bed I want and there two chose to pick from. Just horrible!!!!!

The products were interesting to look at and I got some good ideas from looking at the set up in decor. I liked what I experienced.

Remarkably bad service. First employee was half asleep in a recliner and claimed that the store didn't sell the product that was immediately behind him. Second employee was eating earbuds and refused to acknowledge me. Third employee was swamped with two other customers. Fourth employee was buried in a computer and did not acknowledge me. I wanted to spend money in this store but was unable to do so.

Juan Rivera, I believe that’s his name, is the manager at the Joliet store and provided us with outstanding service. We were experiencing a frustrating issue with one of the financing companies, which had an unnecessarily complicated identity verification process. Juan stepped in, took control of the situation, and resolved everything quickly and efficiently. Thanks to him, we were able to get the beautiful sofa we wanted. He’s clearly passionate about delivering a great customer experience and truly understands the importance of doing things the right way. I highly recommend him—he was fantastic.

I found a very nice recliner there and it was just what I was looking for.

Marco was a cool and honest guy to work with

We purchased a lot of furniture in our life and a good deal from Ashley. This store is the worst. Like many furniture stores they hound you the entire time you are in the store even after telling them you are fine and are just looking. Then they don't have what you are looking for and steer you into a more expensive line. The kid helping didn't know anything about the lines and we had to repeatedly tell him what pieces we wanted. He gave us a quote for a bedroom set. We then wanted to add bar stool for a table we had just purchased. They didn't want to add the barstools due to a 5% discount they gave on the bedroom set. We asked for the quote on the bedroom set and they refused. Online is the way to shop if you have to go to the store just use it to check it the quality fit and finish. Smh...

My boyfriend and I were shopping for a sectional couch and found one at Ashley that we were really interested in. We visited the store on Monday, May 19th to test it out and make sure it was comfortable. Mustafa was our sales rep, and he was fantastic. He was helpful and informative without being pushy, and we genuinely appreciated his approach. We were ready to move forward with the purchase when a female sales associate came over and said word for word, “I’m so glad you guys like this couch! Everyone here complains that it shouldn’t even be on the floor because nobody likes it, but now we can prove them wrong!” That completely changed the energy. My boyfriend and I immediately went from excited to completely turned off. It felt like she was telling us that the couch we liked was ugly, and it really killed the moment for us. We ended up walking away from the purchase and bought a different couch somewhere else, all because of that one unnecessary comment. I wanted to leave this review to recognize how great Mustafa was, but also to say that our experience was really soured by that one interaction.

The delivery of my purchase was extremely frustrating.The purchasing experience on the other hand was a nightmare that triggered the whole situation. Probably won’t shop at the Joliet location ever again. My sofa is gorgeous and everything that we thought it would be. The “sales” and delivery processes need to be improved and most importantly “communications between the customer and store need to be increased. Once my issues became apparent no one stepped up to keep me informed about the resolution leading to a really bad taste for having spent nearly $1500 cash and then being overlooked.

Walking in Ashley furniture store you have sales reps eager to help . Ms Baumgarden helped me w.the purchase of my mattress and bed frame. Im happy she helped me because I actually really love my purchase! I just did not appreciate a $250 extra charge on my account tht she NEVER elaborated what it was and then it was refunded. I found that very strange and down right WRONG because I need to TRUST a company enough to want to keep coming back for any future needs. They should GO down the list of charges and articulate exactly what they are charging you. No secret surprises. I HATED the WAIT. You have to wait several good weeks for delivery (on my bed & mattress). Delivery team (David & ?) Were SUPER EXCELLENT kick butt team!! Very hard and efficient workers! They need a raise :) I gave them a $20 and they deserved it. They did NOT remove my old mattress because there was a few light soil marks and so you know they will NOT touch that. My sales rep told me they WOULD. I am very happy w.my purchase and over all if I come back I will just make the rep be clear fr every charge made.

The salesman, Mr. Luis Rojo, at the Louis Joliet Mall Ashley Store was knowledgable and helpful. He showed me several examples of the type recliner chair I was looking for and explained the features of each one. Once I made a decision he completed the paperwork and explained the delivery procedure in a timely fashion. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for furniture in the Joliet Illinois area!

Luis my salesman was Fantastic The items delivered the delivery guys big hurry to have me the sign didn’t have me try out reclining part. I had them stay until I check that out. The only thing I didn’t check out was the headrest on the chair and it did not work so I called and someone’s coming to replace the part in 7 to 10 days when they get it so that was fast response which I appreciate

My experience with Aaron Durand at Ashley Furniture was amazing, he worked with me over multiple weeks while I was deciding over the many different options they had. He answered all my questions and broke down every detail about all the pieces I was interested in. I will definitely be back in the future if I need any other furniture.

I black 31 year old female went into this store with my two 13 year old children to buy a recliner for the stores 80th anniversary sale. When I walked in I asked to see what recliners they had on sale and the gentleman took me to the back corner where they had a variety of recliners. None of them were included in the sale! No problem I found one I loved with a price tag I could appreciate without the sale. So took a picture of the tag and took it up to the desk. He looked up the item and said oh nice we have 6 of them in stock so you won’t have to wait long. So i told them that I would be sending my boyfriend (51 year old handsome white male who’s a major in the US army) in to finalize the purchase. Well when he did he was told that the 6 chairs they had in stock where all damaged so delivery would take nearly a month. The sales rep also looked the chair up online and gave him the online price which was 100$ cheaper. So I really would like to know why wasn’t I told, one that what was in storage was damaged and two why didn’t the online price be brought up for me as well. Smh it’s bothered me for weeks so now I’m finally sharing my experience. Be careful shopping here and look up your item online yourself so they can price match. I won’t be buying anything else from this store fortunately.

Not happy. I got screwed with the mattress. I wanted to return and get a queen size. I was told that I could not. My mother in law called they said no. I will never shop there again. Wasted 360. Dollars. I will never shop there again.

I gotta say Omar, the associate I worked with, did such a great job initially me and my family came in to just look at prices and models however with his help we were able to strike a great deal on barstool chairs and the price compares to nothing we've seen online.

Have to purchase 500.00 in merchandise to use in-store credit of 279.00. For unused furniture protection plan. Very disappointing

The worst service ever. I bought a new sectional in November. They rescheduled the delivery four times finally got it in January. One of the recliners is broken. I went to the store in Joliet, Illinois. I emailed the CEO Todd Wanek and In the senior vice president, Kurt Haines. no response from either. I now understand why the local leadership has no desire for customer service as the executive leadership team has no desire to service their customers either. I still have a broken recliner and no correspondence from anyone in the organization. Next stop, Illinois Attorney General’s office.

5 stars for David and Eddie. NEGATIVE STARS for the woman we dealt with on our return visit. I worked with David and Eddie at my first visit. They were great at answering questions but not being pushy. Great experience there! My return visit I dealt with a 50-60-year old blonde woman (I didn’t get her name) who was by far the worst associate I’ve ever encountered. She was pushy with comments like “When are you ACTUALLY planning to purchase?”, “I don’t know where the plugs and cords are, you can look as well as I can.”, and being incredibly disrespectful with words and tone right in front of her manager. NEGATIVE stars for her. It was so bad, I cannot give more than a single star and think people need to know to walk out instantly if this woman wasn’t fired immediately after we left.

The sales people answered all of my questions and helped me pick out furniture that was right for me.

I had the pleasure of working with a very nice saleswoman V. Made me feel comfortable just looking around for a while, never pushed or pressured me into anything. We need more people like V, very nice experience.

Sales person was pleasant. Not pushy which was great. Purchase was easy but i had the choice of a printed copy of my receipt or pdf to my email. It’s been over an hr and still waiting for my email. Now I have to call and request a copy. Annoying. Other than that good quality furniture have bought multiple items from Ashley.

My experience was very pleasant. Vrezenya was extremely knowledgeable and had answers to all my questions. The 5 year protection plan was a nice surprise. I was expecting to have 2-3 weeks before I could get delivery, but found out I could get it delivered as early as next week. I would definitely recommend them.

This has been a shopping nightmare. I went in the store to buy a chair and a half. I received a regular chair. When the delivery guy brought it into my home I told them that’s not what I ordered. They said well you have 3 days to return it. I went into the store before the 3 days were up and spoke with the salesman Kyle and his manager. I Reminded him what I was shopping for and he agreed that a chair and a half is what I asked him for. They said they’d put in a ticket and that I’d get a call back. Of course I didn’t. Then I went back to the store a third time and they said no one has opened the ticket because it was Black Friday weekend but I should get call Monday. I never did. A couple of phone calls later I reached an escalation dept. She listened said she’d get back to me and after I emailed her a couple of times she said they did nothing wrong and wouldn’t accept the return. This place is ridiculous. And the chair was a third more expensive than on line and she said online is always cheaper and you have to ask for them to match it in the store. That’s so messed up! Please don’t waste your time there! They handle mistakes with silence.

We stopped in to look for a few different things, Kyle the salesman greeted us and was very pleasant letting us know of the sales going on, he was very informative and let us browse the store without bothering us,but was nearby when we did have a question. Dan the store manager introduced himself and answered any of our concerns. Great experience, we will be back.

The delivery team was polite, respectful of our property. They were prompt and efficient.

Terrible customer service. Sold us a base without the proper legs, which damaged our bed, manager promised me he would handle it and ignored my emails. Still haven’t been able to get it returned 3 months later as they apparently don’t take returns when its been their fault. Expect that they will never take a return even if it wasn’t because you changed your mind!! Definitely feel like we got duped/taken advantage of with our purchase.

Ms V was absolutely amazing. Not knowing what to do with a problem with delivery and the warehouse said it wasn’t their fault, we called Ms V for assistance. She was great. She reviewed everything and rescheduled a delivery for tomorrow and a pick up of incorrect item. She is the total package from helping in the showroom purchase, but goes the extra mile to help with any issues that may come up. We truly appreciate her and recommend her to anyone purchasing furniture at Ashley. She sells but stand behind the sale and is there to help. Thank you Ms V!

Customer service is horrible. Bought a power base for our mattress from them, it damaged our bed frame. Customer service or management has not helped at all. Do you want to return something? Be prepared to be on the phone for hours with no results. We also bought a mattress from them that is eligible to be “swapped” within 90 days, bought a matress cover and everything. We are on the phone with the partner company that does the swaps and they are now telling us that our mattress is not eligible… over $9,000 spent on Ashley Furniture, and we will never shop there again. Stay away. Edit: When you call the number they provided below, you get put on hold for 45 min. They did not help what so ever.

Ashley has the best selection of furniture and our sales person was helpful and not pushy at all. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes with 2 rooms of furniture!

I bought a bed frame and mattress at this location. When my bed frame was delivered it was missing legs. I called this location multiple times and then called corporate. I then received a call that the legs of the bed frame would be delivered. Almost two months later I never received the legs to the bed and after calling multiple times and multiple voicemails my calls have been ignored and never returned. Also, when waiting for the furniture to be delivered the driver was 6 hours late.

Had the pleasure of working with Luis and David. Exceptional customer service. Made the process of buying new furniture easy. Would definitely recommend the Joliet store to friends and family.

I am completely disappointed with the customer service for Ashley Furniture. We purchased a couch back in January of this year was told that my concerns about the couch I was interested in purchasing had been resolved. Two months after owning this couch my concerns were realized and the cushions began to fray badly. Fast forward several months now of battling with customer care and store, they have refused to rectify my issue and have left me with a $3,000 couch that looks to be 10 years old. Be very wary of purchasing furniture from Ashley. Do your homework and don’t take their word for it. The response below is false. They do absolutely nothing when you text or call. I had a good experience until the delivery day. We were told anywhere from 9:15-12:15. They didn’t arrive until 1:20. They were quick to put things together, and were ready to leave when I noticed that three of my four living room pieces had mud or some sort of stain on them. The guy asked me to get a wet rag and see if it would come out. If I hadn’t checked, they would have left without a word about it. Luckily, it came out (with help from my husband and some cleaning agent we weren’t even sure we should have been using on them). They need to take better care of customers as we are spending good money on furniture. Unacceptable.

Our experience was wonderful at the Joliet location. The assistant manager was terrific, very engaging, we told her what we were looking for and she found many options for us to choose from. We have always bought all our furniture from your location and have never been dissapointed.

If you purchase any furniture from here be careful on buying the protection plan.. they will make your life difficult. We’re having that experience even when paperwork says covers everything ! 👎🏽

I went in looking for sectional and found that Ashley’s had so many different options (more options then Bob’s Furniture, Room Place and some other furniture stores I went to). The sales associate was super sweet and helpful (not harassing at all). It was his 1st day off orientation so he was not able to answer all my questions but he immediately found the answers by either looking it up himself or asking his manager. Overall my experience was great and both the sales associate and store manager were super nice.

The assistant manager V made our whole experience seamless, quick and pleasant with 2 small kids! We will definitely be repeat customers!

Great Customer Service by, Kyle Kielma proceeded my order through the phone and was really helpful and kind.

We went in with the intentions of just browsing through some couches to see what they had. When we were approached by Mustafa, he was very informative and said if we had any questions to come see him. He never followed us around or hovered (like most sale places do) and never pressured us into buying anything. When we did show interest in a certain sofa, he showed us the quality of it and we were sold! We did leave to double check measurements but we made sure to return and get helped by him. Overall, had a very good experience there.

Do not purchase from Ashley. They sold me a table and carpet at a "discount". Table was originally $799. The "sale" included the discount, which ended up being $40 higher than the price on their website--and another Ashley store. When I called for assistance, the Ashley operator told me, "Yes, the prices are cheaper on line then in the store. She also said they can't refund the difference. Seems like you would match your own price, when the purchase was made only two days prior. I will be taking my furniture needs to another company.

Called and left a voicemail inquiry about a dresser. The manager called me back within 2 minutes stating that it was in stock and offered delivery free of charge. Clear, concise, personable, done. That’s all a customer ever wants!

Nothing but a great experience, as David Watts (store manager) worked extensively with us to remedy a mattress choice that originally would not work for my wife with chronic medical and pain needs. Poor quality furniture lately. Our living room set didn’t even last 2 years with normal use. Both our sofa frames cracked/broke. Not good quality at all.

Great selection, their credit card approval was easy and I was able to get a good deal, met with the manager and they were able to meet the free shipping and other discounts. We knew exactly what we were looking for so can’t say much on the sales associate. We got a sectional that is on back order, however it’s worth the wait.

I bought a sectional at the Ashley in Naperville a few years back. Wanted to add a piece. Ordering pieces separately was not an option online. I went to the Ashley in Joliet as it is a bit closer. I watched as all 3 salesmen greeted and handed flyers to everyone who walked in the door. I walked around for half hour hoping for any kind of acknowledgement. I let the salesman know before walking out that I had been ignored. Not one apologized. The piece I needed was only $1600 but it took the Naperville store less than 10 min to order when I called.

If there is a negative number for rating I would give that but unfortunately 1 is lowest I had to give that. I had the worst experience with Ashely. Firstly they don’t have standard procedure to address customers issues and second of all they delay the process. They delivered a dinning table set in the month of December 2022 and I should call that product as refurbished NOT A NEW PRODUCT at all. Ever since till date that product issues were not addressed at all. The chair legs are unstable, material is poor quality, table latch is missing and many more to describe. Till date they did not address my issues and upon that they expect for the complete payment!? I highly don’t recommend their product at all!

Everything they said they had on Sale in the newspaper and online. They did not have any in store for you to look at all. They had was all sets. About $4000 are over and they were all very bad quality to go along with the bad customer service. I would never shop here.

Awful, Donna is rude and I believe because we are black she decided we were not important enough to assist. She needs to work on her communication and customer service skills.

The actual in store purchase was good. I was told in store to refuse the shipment for any pieces I may not want when the items arrived for set up. One piece needed to go back to the size. The salesman said that was the easiest process to receive a refund. I did exactly what I was told and the return process has been terrible. Customer service says they never received the item back. Then said it was lost in their warehouse or possibly never returned in general. Delivery drivers didn’t speak much English unfortunately and didn’t even want to take the item back when they arrived. They didn’t have me sign for anything. It’s been about 6 weeks and still haven’t received my refund back and even though I returned the pieces. Everytime I call customer service it’s a different story how the last representative didn’t fully fill out a form or there was miscommunication. I called this store directly multiple times spoke to a manager and he was no help. He told me he’d take care of it and never heard from him again even though he took my number down and told me he’d call me back.

I was honored to work with V. She was very professional and knowledgeable. The one thing that really sticks out to me is that she didn't follow me around the store. She gave me space to wander around a little and answered all the questions that I had. I will definitely be going back to the Joliet store!

The manager and someone else (maybe finance or assistant manager was very helpful. Salesperson was horrible. Maybe she just started but needed more supervision then. She said she asked someone else to help me as she was placing an order for another customer and I that salesperson knew nothing about it which leads me to believe she never told them. I would recommend your store but would tell them to stay away from salesperson.

I recently visited Ashley furniture in Joliet and was very pleased! I came in looking for a sectional, I found one that I absolutely loved but the price range was too high. I had a quote from another location and was upset because at the other location it was a different price. My sales associate Nicole Harvey did everything she could to help me be able to afford the couch. Nicole and the manager David went above and beyond! I was able to get the sectional that I was in love with! I will definitely be back when I’m in the market for new furniture. My furniture was in stock when we ordered and scheduled the delivery, then they reached out a week before delivery to notify me my order was NOT in stock. I am still currently trying to schedule my furniture do be delivered and it’s a week past delivery date now. The communication issue is a problem because Ashley Furniture uses an automated text system to communicate with you, NOT a customer service associate. I chose Ashley because I THOUGHT they were a more respectable brand name than Bobs furniture, which I had this same problem with 3 yrs ago and would never go back. Guess I’ll be adding Ashley Furniture to that list as well.

Staff isn’t reliable. 2 years ago, my purchase invoice had an outdoor only furniture protection plan when I purchased a bedroom set at that time. Didn’t know this until I had to call in a claim and found out nothing was covered. It’s been over a month and they still haven’t resolved the issue. I’ve had more help with the phone customer service team than the managers in this store. Not once have they ever called me for a follow up on my issue. If you’re going to choose Ashley, go to another location.

Salesperson-Mac- was very 'salespersony'; hearing what he wanted to hear. Misleading in his communication. Not really answering my specific questions; just giving rote, unrelated answers. After we got past that and I was all set to get my items the same day-as I was told-the manager advised that the items were not available for couple months! Then when I agreed to that, under the impression that if I happened to change my mind between now and then, the cancelation request would be "no problem". Ptuh! It's been less so thus far- as, of course (wanting something sooner) I found something on their website- an online only item- that I preferred and ordered and should supposedly arrive sooner. Now, after calling the "store's phone number" and speaking to someone who is probably not even in the U.S....my request is "under review" and I should get contacted within 3days. Definitely not happy with this sneaky approach. I have furniture from other Ashley stores. Will not be returning to the Joliet location-unless my "refund request" (huge eyeroll) is not honored.

You can't order directly online, you have to call the store. Disconnected first call, second call placed order with Doug. Only way to order online with agent is layaway where they invoice via email to pay online. Check invoice, my address is wrong, I had stated it correctly twice. Called back to get it fixed and Alejandro says they can't, I'd have to go to the store with an ID to fix their mistake. I said to cancel it. He told me to hold because he needs approval to cancel my order. I told him I have stated I want it canceled and I'm not paying the invoice but I'm done holding and hung up. Go elsewhere.

We have been trying to get in touch with the manager, John, at the Romeoville store since our furniture was delivered at the beginning of March this year, to no avail. The store sent us the wrong chairs and we have been trying to get these returned to pick out other ones, which should have been a simple process, according to several customer service reps we have spoken to over the course of a month. E-mails never get responded to and phone calls to the store never result in a call back. We even visited the store and left our contact information for John, who was unavailable, to get in touch with us, but he never did. Calling corporate is useless as well, since they open tickets and escalate your complaint, but no one ever responds. Over 10 calls to customer service, corporate, and the Romeoville store, and no one seems to want to deal with the issue we are having. Our suggestion is do not purchase anything from Ashley Furniture because their customer service is non-existent. We are so disappointed in how we have been treated throughout the whole ordeal. They keep escalating your complaint to a "supervisor" or "manager", but no one ever follows up with the customer. We were past customers of Ashley and never had a problem, but we will never purchase another item from them again because, clearly, they could care less about their customers.

Worst furniture store in the WORLD. Received a broken nightstand & when you call customer service they just give the run around. Always transferring you to the next agent, or placing you on holds so long you want to hang up. No one can answer simple questions and if you receive anything damaged you might as well eat your money or light it on fire. Terrible customer service, terrible service in general. NEVER shop here

Usually, I dread going into a furniture store because the sales people refuse to leave you alone. This was our 3rd store today and our patience and our hope was almost on empty. The quality of the dressers had been less than impressive and the customer service had been even worse. We walked into Ashley not expecting to find either. Then enters Cory. He was friendly and engaging and gave us our space when we let him know that we were just looking. Once we made our decision, he was right there to assist us. He was professional and knowledgeable without being ridiculous like the other sales guy that was so loud and obnoxious! He was so much fun to talk with and he gave us the information we asked for and got us set up with a super quick delivery date. The girls at the check out were so friendly and warm to us that we felt like we had known them for years. We will absolutely be back to buy from Cory!!

Love how the internet works, i began receiving ads for the same table from other companies at a much lower price. It got me to look to see what the price was on Ashley's website. The website pricing is much lower than what I paid in store, by $300. I called customer service and was told to go to the store, went to the store and they said that because I have already gotten the furniture there is nothing they can do. They did send a request to corporate but I have not heard anything. I was going to be purchasing a bedroom set and living room furniture in the near future but won't be getting it from Ashley. All our other furniture has been purchased from them, so this is very disappointing. If you buy anything double check the online pricing first.

I was approved for a line of credit but had issues making a purchase online after speaking with at least 4 representatives. We decided to go into the home store to see if we could make the purchase. Although the purchase was a success, I was not treated like a valued customer but felt more like an inconvenience. I was made to feel like I was doing something illegal. They wouldn’t honor the online discount or free shipping even though the online purchase kept failing. I had a better, quicker experience at Bob’s online.

Go buy wholesale or better. Don’t buy from Ashley. The insurance a short term jive. Third party only covers limited features. Pretty much a used car salesman experience once you walk in. Weak company with a dying name.

On Saturday, January 7th, my family and I visited Ashley Furniture in Joliet, Illinois. We were trying to purchase a bedroom furniture set for my daughter. The salesman was helpful, and we came to an agreement of $1000.00 for the Baystorm set with twin bed, dresser with mirror and chest of drawers. The final price was $1247...this included 8.75% sales tax and delivery fee. The sales person then said we could get 0% financing for 6 months. I filled out the finance paperwork and gave then identification and another credit card. It was taking a long time, but the salesman returned and said everything was good, but he messed up and the cost was higher. The salesman stated he made a mistake. I then got up and said we were leaving. They ran financing on me and then changed the terms of the agreement! We went to the manager, Doug. Doug stated they couldn't give that price. I stated that the salesman already agreed on the price and it was poor customer service to change it. He then told me that the salesman never agreed on the price. I stated I wouldn't have started thr finance process if I didn't have a price. My wife and I told him it was poor customer service. He looked away and just said "Have a good day." This is very shady!! They ran my credit and then changed the terms of the deal afterwards. Will never shop here again!!!

The sales people were great! Dealing with the finance people was not so easy. Seems they didn't understand what they were doing and asked the same questions repeatedly.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!…Absolutely dishonest people our house caught fire and had to replace everything and needed furniture by December 1st so instead of buying what we wanted we bought a couple things that they said were available and assured us they would deliver by our move in date December 1st like bedroom sets for our kids and my wife and i and 2 couches. Needless to say they lied just to get a sale and the stuff was on back order . Luckily we didn’t purchase more and get screwed even more . They ended up screwing them selves out of us buying more furniture. The only thing good about this experience is we learned to never shop there and get what we want now not what’s available and spend the rest of the 80k insurance check somewhere else

Corey was very helpful and to the point. Excellent customer service! Hopefully the rest of my experience with Asheley furniture is the same.... Unfortunately the rest of my experience was not the same... table and chairs were delivered and I was waiting for another delivery for the hutch. Chairs had scratches and chunks taken out of them and the delivery men said they would swap the chairs out when they brought the hutch. This did not happen and customer service said I accepted the chairs and the delivery men can't speak for the store! Payed a lot of money for a table and chairs that look 2nd hand. Stay away from these dishonest people!

We bought an entire bedroom set and were sold the wrong sized mattress and boxspring. Shocker, we can’t get a call back.

Good quality products

The first delivery set up never showed. After many conversations I was told that I would get a better discount and free delivery. I had to wait another 2 weeks to get my furniture to find out tat I never received my extra discount and I had to pay for delivery. Which thile delivery guy put a big scratch in my foot. I will never yebuy from this place again. Horrible experience

Where do I even begin!? Worst experience ever. We thought all was well at first. Briana seemed super helpful and knowledgeable in the store. Ordered furniture based on what we wanted and her recommendations for what would work in our space. Delivery time was faster than expected. This is where it all goes downhill. The Delivery guys put the wrong legs on the right arm sofa so it sits an inch lower than the wedge but didn't know why the two didn't line up. I discovered this after they left. The wedge is unfinished on the faces and we were never told this in the store despite saying repeatedly it would be open and showing our Floorplan to Briana about how everything would be situated. This was how the lengths would work and she simply agreed it would be fine. Not a word about it being unfinished. Our old sectional is finished on all sides so we never dreamed this would be an issue. Then the separate sofa she recommended that "matched" is a different fabric than the sectional so it doesn't even match. Everything looks atrocious. Then I called customer service because the delivery people say their hands are tied (which I get) and they say they don't accept returns at all. They will schedule to fix the legs but basically we can swap out for a different piece if there's a defect but that's it. Then you Tru to call the store and cannot talk to anyone. Nobody answers the phone you just get automated machines. What a nightmare. I'm going to have to drive to the store to try to remedy this. And there's a nice big black scuff on one of the white ottomans.

Will never shop at Ashley again. Paid in full 4 a love seat & recliner. After 3 months we got the love seat, but no recliner. After waiting 6 months we stopped at the store & they looked on the computer. There was a note that said they had called & left a voicemail on Sept 13 saying the recliner was discontinued. We never got that voicemail!! Now we have 2 start looking 4 a recliner all over again. Will never shop at Ashley again!!🤬

Worst furniture store ever, they should shut down all their stores. First of all we bought a bedroom set that they claim it’s one of their best they got.We ordered it since June and finally we got our bed set today, it was all damaged with scratches everywhere and it also seemed like they tried to glued a piece of the headboard. I’m just so disappointed with their customer service and their warehouse workers they just seemed that they don’t care for any of the furniture. Also our mirror was damaged.

Nice furniture

I purchased the Charmond King Upholstered sleigh bedroom set, which is advertised as wood on the website and in the store. Upon deliver about 6 months ago after inspecting the dresser, I noticed several damaged areas at the bottom which had been colored in with dark red marker. I immediately contacted customer service, whom stated a replacement dresser was ordered; however, it was not currently in stock. I recently received a call stating the dresser was in stock and would be delivered 8/26/22. I took the day off of work awaiting the delivery for the delivery team to arrive at my home, with another damaged dresser. I paid 3500 upfront, and my clothes are back in a tote, UNACCEPTABLE! I asked the driver can I inspect the dresser, prior to him bringing it in my home, then he reported the Ashley distribution team inspected the dresser, saw the damage but thought I my accept it like that, UNBELIEVABLE! I refused the delivery & proceed to contact the customer care line. All of the customer service reps were rude, the call center manager Rob was the worst. He was very nonchalant, arrogant and dismissive. I called Ashley Corporate Office and was informed, Ashley Furniture in Romeoville is out of their Jurisdiction and they were unable to help me. I was informed by Ashley furniture call center that the escalation team was out of the office. Absolutely no one has tried to rectify the situation or accommodate me on any level. I can't even get a guarantee that I'll receive another dresser this year in a good condition. The manager Rob explanation was, "The distribution center takes the items out the box to inspect them". My response, "Yet they saw the dresser was damaged, and sent it out anyway unboxed on a truck with other furniture, which probably caused more damage. I want my money back or a brand new dresser and need some legal assistance. I rate Ashley furniture zero stars. Update- Ashley furniture contacted me in an attempt to exchange my damage dresser. They arrived on 9/14/22 with another damaged dresser, see pic below and absolutely no one from the company has reached out regarding another delivery date, nor refund. I requested a call from the supervisor and as of 9/19/22, I haven't heard from anyone I’ve reported them to the BBB. Their services don’t deserve one star

THEY LIE ABOUT THEIR INVENTORY TO GET THE SALE. Purchased almost $6k worth of furniture 7/23/22. We were told during the purchase the sectional & recliner was cureently in-stock and should be delivered in a week or two. The end tables and coffee table were on back order 4-6wks. It is now 9/7/22 no sectional no recliner no phone calls from Ashley. We've had to call weekly for updates and today we we're informed the sectional and recliner are on backorder until 12/20/22.

Excellent selection. Good service. Quality furniture. Labor Day Sale the best. Service providers do their best to get you what you want. What more can you say from a furniture store.

They sent me the wrong chair... twice!! They tried to make me keep something cheaper and uglier than what I picked out in store. I been waiting three weeks and wasted 2 days waiting for the wrong delivery. At this point I don't want the chair anymore but there's nothing I can do

I had looked online for dining chairs my husband wanted to replace ours with and knew he needed to sit in them to make sure for such a large change. We walked into Ashley in Joliet and saw Adam sitting in chairs like we were looking for, Adam said they were the most comfortable for him to work in, after sitting in the options available in thr store hubby agreed. Adam was able to get us a great price with the current Labor Day sale promotions.

Delivery was terrible after waiting 5 months. Dresser was broken. Chest draw was broke by installer. Furniture was set on driveway to assemble no padding was put on driveway. Drawers on bed don't open all the way. We sent Dresser and chest back, whish we would have sent it all back. Installers had dirty shoes and didn't cover them.

You have beautiful furniture but your customer service needs help. I was told furniture was in stock and delivery in 2 weeks. 2 months later and all I am getting is a run around. Each week I am told the next week is approx delivery date. Obviously, this furniture is NOT in stock. Honesty from the beginning would have been nice.

My calls to Ashley got disconnected several times. I just came into the store. Got very good service in the store. Phone contact was not good.

Ordered a kitchen table on April 14th and was told it would be here mid June. June came and went. Still no table. I called the call center and was told it would be here by July 27th. That date came and went and still no table. I went to the store to ask about my delivery date. I was assured by the agent it would be here on August 5th. The agent gave me back my delivery fee (my delivery still hasn’t happened) and nothing else but a promise it would be here. It’s still not here. I’ll be coming into the the store soon to speak with an agent in person.

Absolutely horrible. The poor delivery company had to deliver the table and tell me they didn't send Ashley didn't send the chairs!!! Zero communication from Ashley. I purchased at the store. I called and was told repeatedly that I would have to go through the store. They never answered the phone so I drove 20 minutes to constantly be told "I don't know what you want me to do about it " This is the 2nd time I purchased from them and it was a bad experience both times.

They called and told me my entire furniture order would be delivered besides one accent table they were waiting on. They showed up day of delivery with only the accent table and no other furniture. We canceled our order since we had already waited 6 months at that point and were told we would have to wait another month for it to MAYBE be in. I still have not received an email confirming cancellation nor have we received our refund. Poor customer service and out right liars when it comes to delivery! Do not use Ashley Furniture!

Received my sofa and love seat today and it had rips and holes and dirt and sand debris all over it...went and showed the manager pictures and camera footage of the delivery..getting full refund.

Don’t come here if you look young?? Unless you’re fine with staff members coming up to you every couple minutes to ask you if you’re with anyone and how old you are. Went in today to look for new mattress and bed frame for our new apartment and three separate staff members came up to me and my boyfriend to bother us about our age appearance. The one older lady even felt the need to make a comment about how young we look. And on our way out there were several staff members gathered around a desk and they all stared us down as we left the building. Definitely a very uncomfortable experience. So if you don’t clearly look like you’re almost 30 then prepare to be harassed for your entire time there.

Very upset about my furniture bought in November 21 still not delivered and telling me it's going to be another 8 to 10 weeks we are talking end of May or June

We purchased a dining table with the bench and as soon as they delivered it, we noticed it was peeling. We called the guys maybe 5 minutes after they left told us they would send us a phone number never did. We then called the store and told us to call customer service, a couple days later we noticed the bench was like bent and broken. We called customer service told us we had to go to the store where we purchased it. We went back to Ashley Furniture in Joliet and told us to call customer service. We again called and told us the same thing. They’ve had us back and forth for almost 2 weeks. The table is cheap and the service at this point is terrible and unprofessional. We want to return it or change it but it doesn’t seem possible because we have not been able to reach anyone to find a solution. Same thing happened when we purchased our last furniture. We had warranty but we’re never able to reach anyone to fix it.

Their refund takes forever! We cancelled an order in 24h of placing an order on 22nd Jan. Today is Mar 19, and we still haven’t received the full refund! Besides, the store manager, Greg, is absolutely discourteous towards customers. However, some of the other store members are really nice, especially Alisha Kyles!

We surprised on how readily available the furniture was we ordered considering a lot of things are back ordered these days. *Update as of 4/13/22* This 5 star review is now a 1 star. We have had nothing but issues with delivery, setup and install of this product. 1st delivery - footboard was damaged so it needs to be replaced. Installers put the queen bed back together, which was nice of them, but I believe they did this because they didn't want me to know they forgot to install the slats. First time sitting on the bed the box spring slid off the tiny wood rails because the slats were not installed. Broke the box spring. Customer service did nothing and said "sorry about that". 2nd delivery - which I thought was for the footboard actually turned out to be the slats. Someone came to install the slats almost a week after the first install crew came. Again "sorry about that" is all that was said. 3rd delivery - was the footboard but turns out they couldn't install it because the first installer stripped the screws so the 3rd delivery crew could not take the bed apart to install the new footboard. Having to schedule a 4th delivery to get the furniture we ordered. When I called the store they said they could give me 10% the footboard. When I asked if there was anything else that could be done they said no. This has been nothing short of a nightmare to have to schedule these deliveries around working hours. When I asked to return the entire order I was told I could not do that because it was 72 hours since the 1st delivery. Ashley Furniture does not return damaged furniture and takes no responsibilty for the installers. Do not trust these installers. They are sending out a "supervisor" with a tool to remove the stripped screws. I will NEVER buy another product from Ashley Furniture.
