I am seeing a lot of low end furry ribbed furniture in stores this year! It cheapens your store appearance especially right when you walk through the doors! Find a corner in the back of the store for stuff that lights up and of cheaper designs. Let’s see more sofas and nice leather recliners and endcliners! Not cheap gaudy looking stuff! Thats for value furniture!!!

Delivery was terrible! They left the bed frame slats still put together in the middle of the floor advising an 84 year old that he would need to take it apart and haul it away. This frame would not be in the home had all the parts came in as promised. The temporary frame was installed by Ashley Furniture and they refused to take it away when the permanent frame came in. Unacceptable!!!

I love my couch i bought but DO NOT waste your money on the extend furnature warranty. It is absolutely horrible and a waste of money… Might as well keep your money and put it towards new furnature when you need it because extend will barely help you with anything.

Shay in the Orland Park location was so nice and helpful. And she wasn’t a pushy sales woman which was also a plus! She had all the information on each piece we needed, which made the process quick and enjoyable!

I purchased furniture and was told no discount could be given. 2 days later I see a sale on tv. I called to cancel my order, i couldn’t get through to the store. I talked to 3 different countries who told me wrong hrs of the store, said they couldn’t help with discounts, couldn’t connect me to the store. I finally drove 1/2 he to the store to cancel my order since i couldn’t get any help. When i got there they couldn’t fix my order because someone in another country was still in my order so they had to call IT in order to get in to my order that was read only. While at the store i was told you had to say order a couch into the phone in order for the store phone to ring. So customer service is another country but sales you can get the store. Horrible business practice!

The sales person was very slow. I bought 2 baskets and 2 flower pots. The check out process took forever. He was using the computer but was also using his phone. It was rather ridiculous. Prices were great but I stood there waiting FOREVER.

It's ok. Was clean. Personnel seemed to be a little judgmental about there customers. Many standing around chatting with each other & just let me walk out. Totally ignored me. I was surprised as I was ready to purchase a few items. Because I did not like their attitudes & perception I just went to the next store & purchased my items.

Pete was wonderful to work with. I had a not so pleasant experience with a competitor. Very pushy sales staff. The quality of merchandise was not so great either. Pete was very knowledgeable and attentive. I spent several hours with him over the course of a few days. Everything about my experience at the store was positive and I would recommend anyone to shop at Ashley. I found everything I was looking for to begin furnishing my new home. Thanks again to Pete. I look forward to seeing him when we finalize my order.

I went to look at a couch on 10/31/2025. I immediately fell in love with one in particular that would look amazing in my new home. My mother and I went through the entire process because the lady there told us the dimensions would work out and if one piece didn’t fit we could return it for a refund. We eventually get our beautiful and lovely couch but it doesn’t fit in our living room unless we angle it a way we didn’t really want. Due to the price we reasoned by taking out a piece and reaching out for a return and refund since we aren’t going to use it and we don’t want to pay for something we aren’t using. We have been reaching out for weeks now and they tell us the same thing, “all sales are final” … if that was the case we wouldn’t have made such a high purchase right then and there. We were told this couch would fit and it didn’t, we were told we could rearrange it multiple ways and we couldn’t. If I am paying 5K+ for a couch (payments or not) I would expect to be able to return something or get a refund for something that doesn’t fit and doesn’t work out for me. No one ever mentioned all sales were final AT ALL in that store because had that been the case we would have gone somewhere else. Don’t tell your customers that they can return something for a refund if they can’t. Every representative I have talked to over the phone has told me the same thing over and over again, why can’t I get ahold of the store directly to correct THEM when you all told me I could return and get a refund for something had it not worked out. So had this couch completely not work out for us at all, we would have just had to deal with it??? Teach your reps to know all the information about each couch before they mislead your customers. If it wasn’t for her telling us that we could arrange EACH piece exactly how we wanted it, we would’ve never gotten it. We were told we could set up each piece exactly how we wanted it but that’s not the case at all. Moral of the story: don’t shop here unless you’re okay with buying a couch, being told misleading information, and being told you can return and refund something.

I wanna thank Mrs Maeteen and Ms Kelisha of Ashley in Orland. First off Mrs Maeteen who got me accepted through Acima to furnish my new apartment. She went above and beyond we sat and chatted as I got approved. And to Ms Kelisha who was very professional and also went above and beyond by walking every inch of the store (both women)showing me numerous pieces. Furniture is great but the pickup process was a nightmare…I had an appointment for a 12 pickup, when I got there the rude front desk lady pointed at a sign that said it may take up to 2hrs to load my couch….ill probably take my business elsewhere in the future because of the pickup process with Ashley

The management team is extremely ineffective and unhelpful. They fail to provide any support or solutions when issues arise. Several team members are prone to dishonesty, often lying to customers solely to boost their commissions from sales, demonstrating a lack of ethical standards. When I spoke with the manager, Jim, it was like trying to communicate with a blank wall—he was unresponsive and dismissive, offering no assistance or understanding.

My sales agent Ameer was very respectful and I appreciate the patience he showed me throughout the whole process of my special circumstances.

Delivered broken chest and bed frame and torn box spring

We have been dealing with a broken recliner for 2 months. It was assembled and the delivery people left and the footrest opens but does not shut. We have been in a customer service loop with international representatives that can not seem to get it together to get this recliner repaired. Two months! we have been given the run around. The sales man at Ashely when we initially called brushed us off to a phone number and have been dealing with nothning but run around BS and have been givien no real assistance, or an opportunity to repleace this recliner. Worst furniture experience ever. We will be leaving review on every social media they are listed on because this is ridiculous. The comment from the store below is BS we have called that number repeatedly, nice cover up though!

The sales lady that help us yesterday was FANTASTIC SHE WAS VERY PATIENT AND ADDRESSED OUR NEEDS WHEN MANAGEMENT READS THIS REVIEW THEY NEED TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER GIVING HER A BIG PROMOTION SHE IS FANTASTIC

They have a "No use no lose" warranty but I think they need to go back to third grade English class. Bought furniture in 2019 and reached out to them to get re-sent the invoice and warranty info in 2023, I was only given the invoice but no warranty information. Reached out again 2 weeks ago to see what the process for claiming the credit was, contacted customer support and they said to contact the warranty department, contacted the warranty department who said to contact the store, who then said to contact customer service. Back to square one I was told by customer service they'd open a ticket and I'd here back within 3 days. Fast forward a week and I reached back out to the Warranty department who had me contact the store which then opened ANOTHER ticket and indicated I didn't have an email on file with them (my spam folder begs to differ but whatever) and that generally the warranty department sends out an email and letter when the credit is available. I gave them my email and phone number again and was told I'd have someone reach out that same day. Fast forward ANOTHER week I finally get a call and am told that they have no email on file and that they've never sent out emails or letters for this in the past and it's the customer responsibility to know when the warranty expires and the duration of the claim period. I requested I be emailed with the case information and provided my email AGAIN and was told they were sending over that information. Still waiting on that email and I guarantee the next time I call I'll be told they don't have an email on file. On top of that I noticed my bed frame starting to sag and realized when they delivered and assembled it they never installed the center bar to support the middle of the mattress causing the slats to just slowly sag toward the center.

My wife and I went to Ashley with an open mind, having checked out a few other furniture stores as well, seeking a sofa and love seat for our living room. We liked the variety of styles and the layout of the store. However, it was Sarah that made the difference. She helped show us a few options and we told her we still needed to comparison shop, so we left. However, it was her thoroughness in explaining our options, giving her suggestions on furniture pairing, and her personality that made us decide to come back the next day to purchase the perfect pieces to showcase in our space.

I have been waiting over 3 months for my furniture to arrive at my new house. This was after the sales rep at this Orland store last July guaranteed everything would arrive together within a month, at the latest. The last of my order was supposed to arrive in a couple of days (late October) and wouldn't you know it? I just received another call from Ashley saying that my final piece of furniture (a couch) will now be delayed for the 4th time and will not arrive until "sometime in November" (they hope). The Ashley rep provided me with an email address to file a complaint with Ashley (I confirmed the email address with her 3 times) but it bounced. This will be the last time I ever buy anything from this crooked company because of their deceptive business practices. I encourage others to buy elsewhere. You've been warned. UPDATE a week later-(11/5/25): So after the laughable canned response from Ashley management to my review above (they didn't even bother to reach out), "more" of my order showed up late last week-; specifically 2 end tables and a coffee table. When the delivery guys unwrapped the furniture, all 3 pieces had obvious DAMAGE to them (SMH). We sent them back, even after the delivery guys tried to get us to keep the pieces and to just "call the store." I insisted they take them back as they were all unacceptable and even took photos. And the couch? After nearly 4 months it is nowhere to be seen and officially still on "back order." And for us, that was the last straw- I called Ashley and immediately cancelled the rest of the order. A perfect storm of incompetence, greed, and indifference to our concerns at Ashley Furniture. Just the cost of doing business to them apparently.

My experience working with Kelisha has been very disappointing, and I will not be working with her again. The customer service during the purchasing process was pleasant, but it became clear that the focus was primarily on making the sale rather than ensuring customer satisfaction afterward. After my initial purchase, I realized the items I selected didn’t fit my space and immediately went back to the store the same day to complete a re-selection. Kelisha assured me that the correct items would be delivered and that the dresser mirror would be added the following day. However, when the new delivery arrived two weeks later, the mirror was missing. When I contacted Kelisha, she spoke with customer service and confirmed that the mirror would be delivered soon. Unfortunately, two weeks later, the wrong mirror was delivered — it belonged to the original set I had returned. I reached out to her again, and she stated she would contact the warehouse and have someone follow up. To this day, neither she nor anyone from Ashley has reached out to resolve the issue. I have since requested a refund for the mirror. My main concern is the lack of follow-up and accountability. Once the sale was completed, there was no effort to ensure the order was correct or that the issue was resolved. Customers deserve consistent communication and support, not to be left dealing with customer service on their own after the purchase. I strongly recommend caution when working with this sales associate.

Originally my husband and I had a great experience when we made our sectional purchase. However things have changed since then. We paid for our sectional out right. We did not finance or enter into any kind of payment plan which means 1. You received our money on the day we purchased the sectional. We were told it would be 2 weeks for delivery. Ok no problem. Well the delivery date Kept changing to later and later. Eventually we were told it would be a whole month! Ok no! So my husband called the store manager to work something out. Great! we got a sooner delivery date BUT the delivery updates also keep changing. It was supposed to be a window this morning between 830-1130. I get an update that a driver is on the way and we are the 1st stop. This was at 7:00 am. Now at 10:00 am, I am getting a message that we are now the 3rd stop of the day and the drivers name has changed AND they will no longer be there by 11:30. Now it's going to be AFTER 12:00. This experience has made me decide to never purchase from Ashley furniture again. When you give a customer a delivery date and time then you need to deliver on that promise. This has been ridiculous!

Sarah and Manager Abram [sp.?] were both professional, welcoming, and accommodating. They are assets to your store. The young lady wearing the head gear and her co-worker (I mentioned both of them to the manager) well, their demeanor left a lot to be desired. Thank you for asking.

Hands down ashley furniture has the worst customer service of all time. I have been dealing with a broken product they installed since March and they continously keep delaying saying another week or two and then when they finally sent the parts its the wrong parts. They refuse to refund me my money or give me a new product for a product they installed incorrectly. Do yourself a favor and shop at literally another store for furniture

I am very disappointed. I was not provided with the apparent delivery options. Therefore, I have a box with table pieces sitting in my living. Upon purchase, I was not informed that the tables delivered to me would not be assembled. This was my first purchase with Ashley and will be my last. I have purchased furniture from other stores before and have never experienced this. I did not plan for assembling tables and preferred to return them. However, I feared that the company would come up with another gimmick and not return the funds so now I’m stuck with a box in my living room instead of tables. I’ll just shop at IKEA that way I know I’m putting furniture together. Just know if you shop here, there’s a such thing as ‘premium home delivery’ that’s a random price you’ll pay for assembly on top of the cost of the furniture.

I have been looking on Ashley’s website for days not being able to figure out what exactly would work for my home….so I stepped in the store and only had a very short amount of time to figure out a furniture solution. The staff was extremely helpful; and Particulaly Kelisha Walker. If you go to shop at the store, I highly recommend working with her to fulfill your order. She really understands customer service! She understood I was on a time crunch and was very fun, kind, professional and helpful during the entire process. She was very helpful and executing a speedy delivery, and offering options to do so. I had never shopped there before, but I will again.

Steer clear and stay far away from Ashley Furniture in Highland, Indiana! This place preys on the elderly. My friend is 84 years old and they ripped her off on a recliner by hiding their “no returns” policy in fine print no one ever explained. Within a week she tried to return it, and instead of helping her, they strung her along with endless texts, a useless 1-800 number, and scripted bots while refusing to take responsibility. They know exactly what they’re doing: making it confusing for seniors, wearing them down with phone runarounds, and banking on the fact that older people won’t fight back. That’s not a business model, that’s exploitation. If Ashley Furniture is willing to take advantage of an elderly woman, imagine how little they care about you. Shame on this store, shame on this company, and shame on anyone who defends it.

We purchased during a sale and felt that we were given a good price. The delivery department contacted us immediately to set up a convenient date. The week before our scheduled delivery, we received several texts to verify and to see if we had any questions. On the day before delivery, we were given a three-hour timeframe for the next day. On the morning of the delivery, a text was sent to us with the driver’s schedule, our place in line, and a link to a map showing the driver’s progress and an estimated time. The delivery time was updated and our driver arrived as scheduled (to the minute). Ramiro and his partner were courteous, friendly, and very careful of our property. They tested the mechanical parts and made sure we were happy with the product and its placement. We were extremely impressed with the whole process. This company has a terrific communication plan from beginning to end. Thank you. Highly recommend. *****

Salesperson was very attentive to my requirements for a comfortable chair. Sought advice from manager to make sure all options were covered. Very pleasant.courtious and knowledgeable.

Don’t shop here. Furniture had a sticker on it that wasn’t removed by the store before we left. Got home, took sticker off and the finish came off. Table is ruined. Reached out to our rep and she tried to sell us a warranty that may or may not cover the fix and is more than the item. This place never stands behind their products and screws the customer every time. Once you walk out, they don’t know who you are but dang if they don’t swarm the front door when you walk in.

Honestly, it’s what you would expect. The only issues I have with it are the fact that we had nothing but problems with are orders. Everything from delayed deliveries due to the salesman not updating our address on his end (so it went to the wrong address) to our product coming in chipped and not the color we double checked before signing paperwork. We love what we ordered but is it all worth the hassle? I’ll let you decide.

How is it possible it takes two months to process a credit? I honestly don't recommend this store; it's a scam. They sell you insurance you don't want, and if you try to use it, it won't cover you at all (it happened to me too), and if you don't use it, they'll give you credit for what you paid for. But until today I have not collected anything. (Original) Muy mal servicio al cliente. Ase 5 años compre varias cosas y practicamente me obligaron a comprar una aseguranza. Ya he ido a la tienda 4 veces y me siguen diciendo lo mismo. Estube ahi el martes y el jueves de la semana pasada y hasta hoy nadien me ha llamado. Como es posible que tarden 2 meses para procesar un credito. La verdad no recomiendo esta tienda es una estafa. Por que te venden aseguranza que no quieres y si la tratas de usar no te cubre nada ( ya me paso tambien) y si no la usas segun te dan el credito de lo que pagaste. A mix up on the color. I kept saying white not light gray it wasn’t until the desk was reviewing my order that it was discovered. The desk people made it right and explained it with be up to 6 weeks before my color would be delivered.

All you get when you text that number is an automated service. Getting a hold of someone to help in store is pretty much impossible. Worst customer service I’ve ever had. Go to Darvin! Same automated response with the useless automated number given 🙄

Aaron was great, he was very knowledgeable patient and kind, his product knowledge in the mattress department and on the furniture was amazing, he definitely new his stuff. 10/10 would recommend working with him again and would recommend him to anyone who shops here.

Sarah was extremely helpful with my daughter's selection of a love seat. She was patient with us ,explained financing if needed. She answered many questions that arose about delivery, warranty and the different protection plans that were offered. It was a very pleasant experience shopping at Ashley!

Joe was very nice and super helpful however the desk in back that’ is on “sale” has a lot of damage, broken pieces and is “used by employees in training” and yet they were unwilling to discount it. Went to Darvin they had similar desk brand new at same price as the “sale” here. So was it really on “sale”? Or just another way to Catch the eye of the consumer!?

They ok late on the delivery but delivery team the first time was bad no knowledge on how to bring the sofa but the second team was great and professionally thank you guys you were awesome

Absolutely love Ashley furniture in Orland Park, IL. I had the pleasure of working with Tammy Powell. She is amazing and she knows her stuff. She told me I could switch things up on the bedroom sets like getting a footboard with drawers instead of a regular footboard. Which I wound up doing. I don't think I've ever been happier with my furniture like I am now. I found my entire complete bedroom and living room sets at one time. Nobody beat their prices, color of the furniture I wanted and styles. Not to mention, the delivery service was so top notch. Super impressed by my whole experience. Although my couch set and coffee table are on back order for a month and a half, its definitely worth the wait. Nobody had what I wanted or needed except Ashley furniture. My whole family always shopped for everything at Darvin furniture. Not anymore. Darvin is so overpriced on everything it's ridiculous. So glad Ashley furniture is still around. Will be referring everyone there from now on. Definitely A ++.

We were on the search for new furniture and had already done quite a bit of research online. When visiting the Merrillville store, some of the items weren't in stock on the floor, so we decided to drive to Orland from Valparaiso, IN. Our first stop was at Darvin furniture where the salesman who approached us was so interested in a quick sale that he barely gave us the time of day. We then went across the street to Ashley furniture where we had an entirely different experience. We were approached by an associate in training who directed us to the items we had researched online. Her senior associate came along and patiently assisted her with all the information she needed while guiding us as well. The saleswoman, Sarah Jones, was an outstanding example of complete customer service while also training her new coworker with such grace! The following day we found some additional pieces we wanted to add to our purchase, and Sarah took care of the entire purchase over the phone so we didn't have to make an additional trip. Not only did she work to give us the best possible price, but she did it in a caring, personable way. A furniture purchase of this size, would normally be quite nerve wracking, but she did it with ease! This would definitely make me go back in the future.

Sales rep Kelisha made promises that she couldn’t keep then to top it off she scheduled the living room set to be delivered with a delivery date of 12/30 only to find out it would be partially delivered and wasn’t even trying to clean up the mess she created she passed her problem to someone else. When I made mention they say oh we don;t know this the computer does it automatically but changes AFTER calling him out yet it STILL the wrong amount! THEY REMIND ME OF BUYING CARS THEY TAKE $20 OFF OF THE PRICE ONLY TO PUSH IT ELSEWHERE --LOL Will county is 8% and this will be calculated on the subtotal of your bill BE SURE TO CHECK BEFORE PAYING -- BEFORE LEAVING --ETC. ITS A SHAME Ashley Furniture's sales tax policy is as follows: Sales tax All merchandise purchases are subject to sales tax based on the current state and local tax rates for the delivery or shipping destination. Estimated sales tax Estimated sales tax is calculated at the time of purchase and is generally based on the total selling price of each item.

I will never, ever shop with Ashley again. The store charged me for a lamp I never received and I tried for months to resolve it with the store to no avail.

Great salesman and fast service and quick transaction waiting for delivery

I made a purchase on August 15th with the commitment of September 6th being the target date for my delivery. Prior to the purchase I asked the associate if she was sure about the date because I attempted to make a similar purchase at another Ashley's store. They told me the product wasn't available. Her reply was that the store was a franchise and didn't have access to the product as we do, being we are a corporate store. I spoke with her and the manager on duty and was given the commitment of all products being available and delivered the first week of September. I received a notification of fulfillment in the first week of September. It only included 2 pieces of a 5 piece bedroom set. I received another notification that cancelled the delivery and postponed it for about 2 weeks away. I contacted the store and asked for a call back. I didn't receive it, so I went to the store. I spoke with the associate that assisted me to which she proceeded to blow me off. She didn't listen to what I was concerned about......where is my bedroom set? Why wasn't I informed that there was a delay? So I asked to speak with the manager. His response was about a discount.... Not an update or an understanding of why the delay and some resolve. I've since had to purchase containers to hold my clothes while waiting for my bedroom furniture. This was a huge inconvenience. I reached out recently and the customer service agents because no one from the store would give me a call back. The agents response was It's the vendors fault. But I didn't purchase directly from the vendor, my transaction was within your store and now that I'm inconvenienced

I came to Orland Park Location I walk in and spoke to someone I didn't get there name and ask him did the sell bedfram and he said yes and walk away so I walk around the store for about 20 minutes looking for the right color and finally Lilliana ask me was anyone was helping me and I said no. So she was very helpful helping me to get the right bedfram. I really appreciate her great customer service 👏
