My shopping experience at Ashley Homestore was very nice. The sales person a very nice man, was very professional, yet personal, engaging and showed a true interest in helping to find what I was looking to purchase. With the help of another professional sales associate they went the extra mile and I was very satisfied with my purchase.
This was the first time in an Ashley Store and I have to say is was a very pleasurable experience. They don’t follow you around like other stores but are always available if you need someone. We were fortunate enough to get Martin E. who was extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed doing business with him. He wasn’t pushy and couldn’t do enough for us. I will definitely be back when I need any more furniture and will be asking for Martin.

I had (and always have) an exceptional customer service experience at this particular Ashely Furniture. I’ve had a terrible and degrading experience at the Ashley Furniture in the South Loop and vowed to never step foot in there again. The owner of that store treated me with extreme contempt and disrespect and it was very upsetting. But enough about that location. This location in Orland is the exact opposite, every time I visit. I am the type of customer that really takes her time with purchases like furniture and therefore require a certain level of patience and customer service to get through my buying process. Martin Esparza provided just that. He’s polite, personable but not overly pushy and “salesman-y”. I recognize there’s a level of salesmanship needed but I much prefer being treated like a person and not just a sale. I finally settled on one of maybe three furniture purchases I plan to make over the next 6 months and he was helpful and polite per usual. He didn’t necessarily remember working with me last year bc I never ended up completing the sale last year, and that was ok with me bc it gave me a chance to see that his overall rapport with his customers is consistent based on his own customer service values and not based on him recognizing my face and trying to finally land a sale. That means a lot. I will be choosing this location over any other Ashely for any future furniture needs.

I was not that impressed by their kitchen table selections. However, they did have nice sofas to choose from.
Few years ago I spent about $6,500 on a brand new dining set. I was so pleased. So I continued to do business with them. But today, I'm ending my relationship with them. We bought a dresser and bed for my son. Because of COVID it took 7 months for us to get the furniture. 2 weeks they delivered a bed set with broken rails. Today, the brought the parts of the bed, with the wrong screws. Now my son is waiting again, after he has been sleeping on the floor in his room He is really sad about all if the waiting. Do not waste your time with these folks. There is no sense of urgency. There's a lot of sorry with no.one doing anything to exceed our expectations! The worst!
Unfortunately I will not be returning to Ashley furniture. So far over the course of 4 orders, I have had good customer service BUYING the furniture but forget about when its supposed to be delivered. The most recent experience has been similar to the first in that they cancel deliveries without calls and cancel reschedules. Starting, they call you to set up delivery and when that delivery date comes.,They no call no show! YOU then have to call them to see what happened. I did this however they say they have no record of any such delivery and that I couldn't have possibly set up a date. Since I wasn't getting any help, went to the physical AHS where I purchased other pieces to ask what was going on and behold, the in person sales rep said that the customer service rep that I had talked to on the phone LIED about my delivery not being on record and that not only was my furniture on the truck set for delivery but someone made them take it back off and into the warehouse cancelling my delivery. On top of this the customer service rep that lied also put notes into their system labeling me as EXTREMELY RUDE after I had called asking what was going on with nobody showing up or calling when I asked how can we make everything back on track and her gaslighting me saying no appointment could have ever been made adding to this my in person sales rep showed me that the call center rep had put our expected delivery date to almost a YEAR later!!! Just to spite! Your in house crew great! Your phone reps teach them to do better!
My advice to everyone Ashley Orland park store is unbelievable 0 customer service bad bad I purchased furniture for my new house they told me in the Beginning 2 things are not available, following day the employee she told me yes we have it available but they lied to me just so I can make the purchase and they told me furniture available in wear house 4 to 6 weeks I will receive them this back in august 9th and now they don’t care I reached out to 1800 number 5 times already just to make a complaint about Orland park store and I still didn’t receive any furniture Friday was last time I called they told me March 29th 2022 but when I ordered from darvin they responded right away at least darvin didn’t lie about delivery dates or rather the furniture available or not it’s the worst experience I ever had with this store never again Ashley Orland park store if I have the choice I would rate it -5 bad
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT! Jake & Martin, this is for you. We will never buy from Ashley Furniture ever again after dealing with the both of you. I’ll be addressing all my concerns to corporate after I write your review in hopes of the both of your finding a different career path because both of your customer service is lacking tremendously. I’ve easily spent over $30,000 with Ashley furniture over the years and have had nothing but great experiences up until the most recent purchase. We purchased furniture for our new build back in March and was referred by a good friend to consult with Jake at the Orland Park location whom informed us was now a manger and set us up with his “lead sales guy”, Martin. Everything went smooth in the beginning, especially when it was time to collect our payment in full. We were promised to receive all of our order in July. After many ignored messages from Jake and Martin, which we have proof of, and 4 no show delivery dates later, here we are in almost October and STILL NO IDEA WHERE OUR MERCHANDISE IS WITH NO FUTURE DELIVERY DATE IN SIGHT. My husband, Hector, stopped into the Orland location to discuss the matter and ask to be refunded. He was greeted with another employee looking down on his cell phone while Martin was hanging out behind the front desk. Martin radioed Jake after my husband asked for a refund and said and I quote, “Jake can you come up here and get this guy a refund.” The professionalism from that point by the both of these men was disturbing. I hope there are cameras so everything can be reviewed by the appropriate people so disciplinary action will take place immediately. Martin was loudly arguing back and forth with my husband openly in front of other customers while Jake, the store manager, watched in silence. Martin was mockingly laughing wishing my husband luck in a sarcastic tone on finding furniture somewhere else in stock. May I point out that arguing with loyal paying customers isn’t how you win repeated business. Martin began yelling across the store at this point because he mockingly walked away laughing at my husband after he called my husband a liar saying he doesn’t ignore messages proceeding to ask my husband to pull out proof of the ignored messages. After messages were read back, his response was that he’s human Martin then loudly yelled out, “my number isn’t given to give out updates on orders to customers. I’m busy” but yet when he was taking our money back in March he reassured us that we could call or text him any time, if we had questions or for ANYTHING AT ALL!” Jokes on us. I understand Covid has delayed many things. This is of no fault to anyone. My complaint here is for failed promises, lack of customer service and unprofessional staff. Better training needs put in place especially during trying times like these. Both of these men need held accountable. I will go into more detail with corporate but this is for those who are looking into purchasing from this location or from these individuals. STAY AWAY! If I could give 0 stars, that still would be more than enough than this establishment deserves.
After visiting 3 other furniture stores we were so excited that we found a new living room set. From the second we walked in we found employees to be very unenthusiastic. I made our purchase that took an hour to finalize. Very long process that easily could have been handled in a more timely manner. After wanting to make a change to our order the next day after the purchase I tried calling the store, salesperson and his boss, not a single person returned a phone call, email and I could not get through for 7 days. Finally had to drive to the store to get my matter handled.
DO. NOT. ORDER. FROM. HERE. So, the people who do work here are super friendly. Everyone that I encountered at this store were just the nicest people in the world. Unfortunately, the issues lie beyond their control with corporate. I ordered a couch from there and delivery day came (i took off work to be here and everything). Nobody showed up. I contacted corporate to see what happened. They said I did not confirm the delivery, which I know I did. I screenshot my confirmation. So, okay...I scheduled a SECOND delivery date which was for tonight. Once again, they never showed up. And I have no couch currently. We brought our old couch to the trash during the first delivery day because it clearly states that your furniture needs to be moved for them to deliver it. Like I said, the people at this store are great, but unfortunately the company they work for is terrible. Nice people are great and all, but that means nothing when you cannot get the furniture you paid for...
